Small Towns

So the Mrs. and I rolled into here on a Sunday.  Got into our hotel and went to find a place to eat.  Seems a lot of the joints around here aren't open on a Sunday, or they close early.  It reminded me of living in Sparta, WI.  It's a slower pace of life.  That's not a complaint on my end, mind you.

Everybody knew

Everybody knew about Harvey Weinstein.  Everybody knew about Al Franken and John Conyers.  Everybody knew about Bill Clinton.  And everybody knew about Matt Lauer.  The people who have been lecturing us normals on how we need to behave have either been sexually assaulting women for decades, or covering up sexual assault for decades, all in the name of political power.

There's a reason why people hate the media.  And this is just one small part of it.

Alma Mater

Around these parts, you'll see more "Alumni" plates and tags on cars than you can shake a stick at.  There are dozens of local colleges and universities, plus the big ones like Virginia Tech and U of Virginia.  Every other car proudly proclaims their allegiance to some institute of higher learning or another.

Well, gosh darn it, I was feeling a little left out.  But I don't have a fancy sheepskin to hang on my wall.  Well, I do, but it's not really a diploma, per se.

But what I do have is a friend who's starting up a business with his wife doing vinyl graphics on a bunch of different things.  And he was willing to whip something up for me.  So the rear window of my car now looks like this:

Hillary Built That

So, not only did Obama and Clinton go back on America's word to leave Gadhafi alone after he gave up his WMD, but they set the stage for chaos and tribal warfare which leads to....  open-air slave markets.

(And, of course the damage is still compounding: How likely is North Korea’s Kim Jong Un to give up his nuclear weapons, after seeing the worthlessness of U.S. promises made to Gadhafi?) 

Back during his brief stint in the Democratic Primary, former Sen. James Webb raised the issue, saying:  "We blew the lid off of a series of tribal engagements. You can't get to the Tripoli Airport right now, much less Benghazi." But as the Libya disaster continues to unfold, Clinton’s role in it gets surprisingly little attention.

Obama built that.  Clinton built that.  The Democrats built that.

Democrats continue attacking a group of nuns in court.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are heading back to court to defend themselves against the Obama administration’s Health and Human Services mandate to provide contraception, yet again. In an unusual political move, Pennsylvania and California sued the Little Sisters, demanding the same group who won at the Supreme Court in Zubik v. Burwell provide contraceptives in their state.

The Democrats are the party of evil.  Is it any wonder that they hate groups of nuns?

The Stench from the Bench

One of the reasons I'm certain this country is going to have another round of civil war is that the law is no longer the law.  That is to say, when the law can be twisted to mean one thing for one person, and one thing for another, then following the law no longer makes sense.  And a big problem with that is our judiciary.

On top of the worst political class in our country's history, we have our worst judicial class.  That's probably because they were selected by our political class.

It's because they have no standards. They just want to use ours against us.

A Democrat attacking Roy Moore for "rape" refused to say if he would vote for Bill Clinton.

ZP: I think that all of these women need to be believed, and that we need to hold everybody accountable, whether it's Al Franken or or whether it's John Conyers, or whether it's Bill Clinton, or whether it's Donald Trump.

Given the opportunity for the Democrat to say that he would NOT vote for serial rapist and sexual assaulter Bill Clinton, the Democrat...  dodged.  Because he knows, as we all know, that if it comes to a choice between doing the moral thing and doing the thing that will gain you political power, Democrats always, always, ALWAYS, grab the political power.  What's a few more rape victims, right?  You gotta crack some eggs if you wanna make an omelette! 

Which is why I hope Roy Moore wins.  Because we've been playing this game with the Democrats for far too long, and it's time they find out their tactics no longer work.  Because we normals no longer care. 

Now, do I believe Roy Moore's accusers?  No, not really.  I don't think they are credible.  The woman who claimed he signed her yearbook is most assuredly full of shit.  This is the same hit-and-run job the Democrats always do.  Raise a bunch of accusations, sink the Republican, and then after the election, just fade away laughing with NOTHING coming from any of the elections.  And sad to say, a lot of Republicans are on board with it, as shown by the number of people trying to get Roy Moore to step down.  But curiously, a huge number of those folks are the GOPe who spend upwards of $30 million to try to keep Roy Moore from winning the nomination.

And the people screaming for Roy Moore to step down haven't said ONE FUCKING THING about Al Franken, and John Conyers.  Funny, that.  It's almost as if they have a vested interest in keeping the status quo alive and well in D.C.

Fuck Black Friday.

They're politicized weapons to be used by Democrats against their enemies, and a sad joke because they cannot do what they're actually supposed to do.

There are too many coincidences for it to be just bad luck. Some journalists are belatedly realizing they are living through the aftermath of the Big Bang. A huge strike happened without them even being aware of it and the scale of it is boggling. The Obama administration failed to detect the rise of the Islamic state, was surprised by the Russian invasion of Crimea and Putin's intervention in Syria, did not see the rapid development of Kim's nuclear arsenal and, publicly at least, ascribed the assault on the Benghazi consulate to a video -- and as the New Yorker points out, were even blindsided by Russian election interference openly happening on Facebook.

But they sure were great at spying on US journalists that the Obama regime didn't like!  Golly, could they ever wiretap those reporters!  And Trump's campaign office!  Because if you want to get to the bottom of things, you throw wiretaps on a political nominee's phones!

Stopping the hack of the Office Of Personnel Management, where over 20 million service-member's personal information was stolen?  Not so much.

Along with the worst political class in history, we have the worst intelligence agencies in our country's history.  And the fact that the two are inexorably merged is the reason for the latter. 

Mitch McConnell is a worthless, back-stabbing, traitorous pile of snake shit

And it's starting to become clear even to GOP stalwarts.

The secret behind McConnell’s reputation has been his ability to evade responsibility for suboptimal outcomes. He does so by blaming others when things do not turn out as expected while simultaneously taking credit for ensuring that they did not turn out even worse. 

Most of the time, that meant blaming former President Barack Obama and then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., for the fact that Senate Republicans did not accomplish more in specific legislative debates, such as those over the debt ceiling, government funding, and Obamacare. 

While leaders have always blamed their adversaries for their shortcomings, McConnell’s willingness to blame his fellow partisans sets him apart. For example, he routinely assigned blame to Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund, and the candidates it supported in Republican primaries in 2010 to explain why the GOP failed to capitalize on the Tea Party movement and retake the majority that year. In doing so, McConnell also conveniently overlooked the early support DeMint gave to rising GOP stars such as Sens. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla. 

And after Republicans finally won a majority in the 2014 elections, McConnell regularly defended the lackluster bills he brought to the floor and passed with largely Democratic votes by pointing to what he portrayed as the obstinate refusal of conservatives such as Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to compromise.

At this point the GOP is probably going to lose control of both Houses of Congress in 2018, and it is entirely due to Mitch McConnell being a big-government, anti-conservative shitstain, who has spent the past decade doing his utter best to destroy the Tea Party movement and Trump voters while coddling the Democrats.  He is a pathetic waste of oxygen, who has one, uno, singular victory under his belt as the Senate Majority Leader, despite having GOP control of the House, Senate, and Oval Office.  Gutless, spineless, clueless and hopeless, he careens from one complete failure to another, always blaming someone else for his total inability to stop kissing Democrat ass and stabbing GOP voters in the kidneys.  He only punches to the Right, and Virginia is the perfect example of what happens under his "leadership".

Mitch McConnell needs to retire, go home, and spend the rest of his life letting the rest of us try to repair the damage he's done.

You never know just how much crap you have

Until you have to move.  And then it's "Why the hell did we keep that?  What IS that?  Where did that come from?"  Needless to say, the Mrs. and I have dumped several boxes of random stuff at Goodwill, and even more boxes into the dump.  That doesn't count the bonfires we've had from paperwork that we didn't need, but had PII on it. 

And that doesn't count the stuff we've sold off, like a massive plate glass table that was just too big for the house, along with the six chairs that went with it.  I'd say we're down at least 1000 pounds from when we got here.

The 80's, musically, sucked.  Oh, there were some good bands, but the synth-heavy, breathy gay-boy sound like Duran Duran was ruling supreme, and quite honestly once a guy hit puberty that lost it's appeal.  Hell, even before my nuts dropped I was still making fun of George Michael.  When he came out as gay nobody was shocked.

So my tastes were formed by my Father, who favored jazz and classical, and my brother, who favored heavy metal.  So I would listen to Bach, Gershwin, and Ellington one minute, and Judas Priest and Iron Maiden the next.

And then, sometime in the late 80's, these bands started coming out playing...  real music.  Me being a drummer, I rejoiced in music where the beat didn't come from a Casio keyboard.  So....



One of my favorite bands from that era.

That song got me laid.  A lot.  Both singing it and playing it.

Veteran's Day

Lots has been said.  More than I can say, and probably better as well.  I'd just like to point out that the families of military members, while not in the line of fire, still bear an incredible burden along with that vet.  So if you're out and about, and you feel like thanking a vet, make sure to include their spouse in with that.

God knows my wife has put up with more crap than she ever thought possible as she supported me.

by a Hillary Clinton staffer, Democrat worker, of a crime that happened 39 years ago.

Roy Moore has been a public figure in Alabama for nigh on 40 years.  You think this might have come out earlier?  Just maybe?  I'm calling bullshit on it, until someone else than a Democrat operative is spilling the beans to a different publication than the Washington Post, which is nothing more than the Democrat Media Complex.

Oh, and whether the allegations are true or not, Mitch McConnell, that fucking backstabbing sack of shit, is to blame for the complete and utter fuck-ups that are going on.  As usual, that turtle-faced turd only punches tot he Right, never to the Left.  He's an embarrassment to the GOP and needs to be fired.  Now.

So, I'm reading the online version of the New York Post.  And floating at the top of the page is a story "Actors say Rude Audiences are Ruining Broadway".

Down below that, there are a couple of other articles.  Such as....

And...

"CMA Hosts Underwood, Paisley, poke fun at Trump".

Huh.  I wonder where these Broadway audiences, most of whom are liberal, ever got the idea that it was OK to be rude?  Gosh, it's a mystery.

Virginia once again is run by a Democrat swamp-dwelling shit-weasel

And I apologize if I offended any weasels out there by calling Ralph Northam a weasel.  But the GOP did it to themselves.  They're not called "The Stupid Party" for nothing, although at this point that moniker is a bit tame.  It really should be "The Party of People who are Dumb as a Fucking Stump who Cannot see Reality if it Bit them In The Ass".

Four years ago, Virginia conservatives were told you couldn’t win with a candidate who excited the Republican base.  Conservatives were told that candidates like Ken Cuccinelli spelled certain doom, that the answer was a moderate establishment candidate. Tonight we now know that that candidate Ed Gillespie did worse than Ken Cuccinelli did. And Cuccinelli performed better without the support of the Virginia GOP establishment. 

Ed Gillespie is certainly a good fellow. But his campaign used messages from 2004 and tactics from 1996. It seemed to exist outside of the ferocious upheavals of the modern polarized political world.

I don't vote in Virginia, but I followed the races with some interest.  The Virginia GOP is the Establishment GOP.  Back during the Presidential nominations, Virginia went for Rubio, based on the sickening influence of "NoVa", the area of Virginia that exists to support Washington D.C.  One of the local radio hosts (John Fredricks, if I recall) was at the nomination, and was going ballistic over how the Establishment GOP screwed Trump out of Virginia's delegates. 

Virginia is a lot like California, politically.  A vast swath of low-population, ultra-conservative areas, controlled by the Democrat-Party cancer of NoVa and Richmond.

Let’s be clear. Unlike plenty of other candidates, Gillespie is a good fellow. But Gillespie ran a Jeb campaign in a Trump world. In fact, he avoided the president and the president’s supporters noticed. 

Equally gracious is Gillespie’s wife Cathy. But when I got a campaign letter from her in support of her husband, I could only think – some consultant needs to lose their job for writing this and sending it to me.  Let’s do the time warp, back to 1996 and the Dole campaign:

The Virginia GOP doesn't like Trump.  They're D.C. insider Republicans, and they refuse to acknowledge that their way of doing business doesn't work any more.

Ed Gillespie is a nice guy.  But he's been in and around politics his entire life, and he's so enclosed from the real world that his campaign couldn't have hit any worse notes than it did with normal Virginians.  Maybe if the Virginia GOP had actually listened to the people who voted for Trump, there would be another Republican in the governor's mansion. 

Either the GOP starts listening to it's voters, or it dies.  And if it dies, this time it ain't coming back.

Donna Brazile is part of the problem

Please keep in mind, whilst you pop some corn and enjoy the ongoing civil war within the Democrat Party, that Donna Brazile, while exposing just how corrupt, racist and sexist the Democrats are, is and was part of that very problem.

Since her election loss Hillary Clinton has been a constant media presence trying to explain all the reasons lost the election (my latest count is 30 excuses). Along with her blame game, at times Ms. Clinton has hinted she might run again in 2020. By drawing the coverage, Hillary’s been squeezing out other Democrats from receiving coverage. 

Enter Donna Brazile, whose book “Hacks” feeds the rumor her winning of the nomination wasn’t fair, claims that the campaign was incompetent,  had racist and misogynistic elements, and was too arrogant in its belief they had the election won to listen to advice that they were in trouble. 

If Hillary Clinton’s book is named, “What Happened,” Brazile’s book could have been titled “What Really Happened.” Donna Brazile is a long-time Democratic Party operative who twice served as interim chairman of the party. She wouldn’t have written a book bashing Hillary Clinton if she wasn’t trying to free the party from the grasp of the Clinton machine.

Oh yes, Donna Brazile throwing herself on her sword to rid the Democrat Party of the Clinton influence!  What utter horseshit.  Brazile was feeding debate questions to Hillary Clinton while shanking Bernie Sanders in the kidneys, but NOW we're supposed to assume that she was just standing there while all of this happened around her without any input or influence from poor little 'ol Donna?

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying watching the Democrats re-create the Night of the Long Knives within their party, but let's keep in mind that the person writing about all the problems was at least partially responsible for the vast majority of those problems to begin with.

As such, you always have to wonder just what the side-hustle is.  Keep your eyes open.

More Fake Racism

An incident in which racist slurs were painted on a car near the Kansas State University campus last week was a hoax, and the man who painted the slurs has apologized. 

Riley County Police reported Monday afternoon that the owner of the car, Dauntarius Williams, 21, of Manhattan, admitted to investigators he was responsible for the graffiti.

This bullshit keeps happening, and it keeps getting exposed as bullshit.  Now many fake racism charges are we up to now?  Especially on college campuses? 

Law enforcement officials, however, decided not to file charges against Williams.

And that right there is the biggest fucking bullshit of all.  What would have happened if some white dude had done the racist graffiti?  They would be kicked out of school.  They would have charges filed against them.  Dauntarius Williams needs to have the very same charges pressed against him.  Make his fucking bullshit stupidity painful.

Shooting in Texas

So an evangelical atheist walks into a Baptist church with a gun he's not allowed to have, and opens fire.

A private citizen returns fire with his legally owned firearm, ending the assault.

The Democrats, who just last week were screaming "DON'T YOU DARE POLITICIZE A TRAGEDY!" when some terrorist fuckwit ran people down with a truck in NYC, immediately turn and politicize this tragedy by blaming guns, Republicans, white men, and America.

If this country actually wanted to stop mass murders and mass shootings, we need to ban two things:  Democrats, and Islam.  Problem solved.

Since Jacob is bed-ridden and has limited time left with his loved ones, they are bringing Christmas to himnext weekend.

Last day of leave

And I get back to the grindstone tomorrow.  Yeah.  And of course, I spent my first day of leave....  at work, finalizing some administrative bullshit.

I have three years before I can retire, and right now they can't get here soon enough.

You want to know why so many military folks retire at 20 years?  Because at that point, they're so burnt out and broken that they can't actually do more than that.

But for today, I'm sitting here with coffee and a cigar, enjoying the fall weather.  Took the P22 out yesterday for it's maiden (to me) voyage.  Shoots a little to the left.  I can adjust the rear sights, so that should take care of that problem.  Repaired the front sight on my 22 rifle, so I now have a fully functioning set.  I picked up a little set of swinging targets, and blasted so much paint off of them that I went and picked up a can of orange spray paint to make sure they're visible in the woods.  Bottled up two cases of a cherry mead that I had started before I found out I was getting PCSed.  So if there's any folks local to the Richmond area that would like a couple bottles, hit me up.  They have to sit for at least six months before they're really good, and I don't want to carry them with me.  From the tasting I had when I bottled them, they're going to be outstanding.

I'm going to miss this place.  I doubt I'll find anything like what I have here - the acre of trees, the wildlife walking through my back yard.  Where the neighbors don't care if I blast a couple hundred rounds at targets, because they do the same thing.

Obama destroyed the Democrat Party financially, Hillary was in control of the Democrat Party long before her nomination, everybody knew it was a corrupt operation, and the people now writing an exposé about how awful everything was KNEW IT WAS CORRUPT WHEN THEY JOINED, but they joined up and did everything Hillary wanted anyways.

Donna Brazile is complicit in the worst of Hillary's corruption, but now she's writing a tell all about how corrupt Hillary was, and how Obama drained the DNC coffers, and how Debbie Downer didn't fundraise, blah blah blah.  But she sure kept up the facade, didn't she?  I'm willing to bet that there's major shit coming down from somewhere, and little Donna is trying to escape the ship like a rat before it goes down.  Because as long as there was money to be made, and a possibility of running this country further into the ground, Donna Brazile was more than happy to do whatever Hillary told her to do.

Drunken shitwad and all around big-government asshole John Boehner still can't stop attacking the people who vote for the GOP.

Former House Speaker John Boehner let loose a furious invective against House Freedom Caucus founder Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) in an interview with Politico this week. Boehner, who abruptly resigned from Congress in 2015, said Jordan, a fellow Ohioan, "was a terrorist" who was largely responsible for Republican failures during his tenure.

Boehner's delusion is incredible.  That orange douchenozzle lied his ass off on the campaign trail and immediately got to kissing Democrat ass the moment he set foot on Capitol Hill, and he wants to blame Jim Jordon for his failures?  It's telling that Boehner has no problem running his mouth to Politico, a leftist rag, because Boehner never had a problem with Leftists.  He only had a problem with the people who...  you know...  VOTED REPUBLICAN.  Boehner always punched to the Right, and never to the Left.  He had his lips wrapped around Obama's cock for so long that they were permanently formed in an "O" shape.  And now he still wants to attack the Right, which is just a perfect capstone for why he resigned in the first place.

Clinton bribed six Republicans to attack Trump.  If I'm shocked at anything, it's how there are only six Republicans willing to get in bed with that corrupt crone.  I guess the rest of them either didn't know, or their price was too high.  I certainly don't think that the majority of them have the integrity or honor to simply do the right thing.

In an email from John Podesta to Huma Abedin, the pair discuss diverting Clinton campaign funds to various Republicans who were secretly on the Clinton payroll.

The email, sent in July of this year, describes how funds were being diverted from Clinton’s campaign to the Super PACS of Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, and John Kasich.

According to the email:

“JB, CF, and JK PACS will be noticeably silent for the rest of the campaign. Each will receive a significant allowance from advertising budget. HRC is in the loop and has talked to all three personally. Eyes only.”

Other emails that surfaced but do not refer to anything other than title have also surfaced that raised eyebrowS. It seems at a glance that the Clinton Foundation, or as I am calling it, the Pantsuit Mafia, has bought off several key members of the Republican Party to push the Clinton agenda. Such as:

“He is on board, will retract the invitation to speak. Eyes only.”

This email was dated days before Speaker of the House Paul Ryan withdrew the invitation to Donald Trump to speak at an event in Wisconsin. Even though we do not have the ‘smoking gun’ to say it was him, no other logical conclusion can be assumed.

The GOP establishment has more in common, and more to gain had Clinton won, than they ever will have with Trump.  If Trump actually reduces the size of the FedGov, then their opportunities for corruption, graft, cronyism and theft go down, so naturally they wanted the biggest crook ever to sit in the Oval Office.  They gambled on Hillary, and they lost.  They took her dirty money...

As has been reported, this 2010 deal was made despite a hitherto unknown FBI investigation that exposed bribery, kickbacks, etc. on the part of the Russian company involved.  The pact resulted in 20% of U.S. uranium in Putin's hands (some of whic, in lethal yellow cake form, has already disappeared into the ether) and millions of dollars in the Clinton Foundation's coffers, basically at the same time. 

Or should we now call this the Podesta, Podesta & Manafort Scandal, because an ongoing and related report on Tucker Carlson's cable show is unmasking a series of connections that make the most paranoid conspiracy theorist seem rational?

The level of corruption under Obama and Clinton just boggles the mind.  But what's worse is the rot of the institutions that we as Americans are supposed to trust.  Can anyone on the right side of the political spectrum trust the FBI to actually do it's job these days?  Based on the information that's coming out, no we cannot.  The FBI has become a political attack weapon for the Left, just like every other institution they corrupt.

The time has come for a thorough airing to renew the trust of the citizenry.  That means a special investigator, but one with a wide berth to look into the entire DOJ and FBI, its patterns and practices, and, let's be honest, our intelligence agencies as well. We're living in a bureaucratic nightmare.  As Mark Steyn  put it so succinctly on Tucker Carlson's show Wednesday night, "Everyone is colluding with Russia except Trump!"

So my birthday was a while ago, but due to work I never had an opportunity to celebrate it.  I finally got a bit of a chance before this latest go-round of insanity, and I finally was able to get a gun I had never owned:

I've had a .22 rifle forever, but never a pistol.  That is now rectified.  And it'll make practicing much, much cheaper than .45 or 9mm.

President Donald Trump’s proposal for comprehensive tax reform was almost immediately dismissed as heartless and impractical by his political opponents. 

But what would some of those opponents think if they were told the same plan was being proposed by someone they adore—Senator Bernie Sanders?

I expect college kids to be somewhat ignorant - they're in college.  They haven't really learned anything yet.  But these kids are just reacting to the name of Trump or Sanders, and not bothering one bit to actually see what the plan is.

ICE was never notified of Mr. Gonzalez’ various releases. Additionally, Mr. Gonzales has been returned to his home country of Mexico on two separate occasions. The residents of Sonoma County, and the state of California, deserve better than policies that expose them to avoidable dangers. Non-cooperation policies – now enshrined in California state law – ensure only one thing: criminals who would otherwise be deported will be released and left free to reoffend as they please.”

I have one little quibble - the state of Kalifornia and the residents of Sonoma County do NOT in any way deserve better.  The state of Kalifornia, and especially the uber-liberal residents of Sonoma County have voted for exactly the things that have happened.  They deserve to have everyone else walk away and leave them to fester in their burned-down sanctuary city.

But Americans, being decent and good people, won't do that.  Mores the pity.

Bergdahl pleads guilty

Gosh, I'm so glad we traded five top Taliban leaders for this fuckwit.

Bergdahl, 31, is accused of endangering his comrades by abandoning his post without authorization. He told a general after his release from five years in enemy hands that he did it with the intention of reaching other commanders and drawing attention to what he saw as problems with his unit. 

It wasn't immediately clear whether his defense has conceded that he's responsible for a long chain of events that his desertion prompted, which included many decisions by others on how to conduct the searches. Despite his plea, the prosecution and defense have not agreed to a stipulation of facts, said one of his lawyers, Maj. Oren Gleich.

Bergdahl walked away from his post. He set down his rifle and walked the fuck away, straight into the Taliban's arms.  Good men died trying to rescue him.  Good men who should not have had their lives wasted trying to rescue a fucking moron who walked the fuck away from his post.

Bergdahl was not worth those men's lives.  He wasn't worth the five Taliban leaders that Obama willingly set free, who are now back fighting against our troops in the Middle East.

Things what help keep me awake

Especially when I'm being run ragged.

It's coffee pouches that you use like snuff or dip.  They were invented to help people quit using chewing tobacco, but I've found they're great at helping me stay awake.  Nothing but coffee and flavor, so you're not spitting everywhere.  And each pouch is about the equivalent of a quarter-cup of coffee.  I'm about to take a ten-day class that'll be running my ass into the ground.  I'm getting a six pack of these bad boys.

Now, almost nine months into his first term, how is he doing? Real unemployment is on the wane. The stock market is at an historic high. So is consumer confidence. Illegal immigration is down nearly 70 percent. America is now a net exporter of energy. Just a few days ago, Trump declined to re-certify the malevolent nuclear deal that Obama made with Iran, winning from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu this commendation: “I congratulate President Trump for his courageous decision today. He boldly confronted Iran’s terrorist regime. . . . If the Iran deal is left unchanged, one thing is absolutely certain—in a few years’ time, the world’s foremost terrorist regime will have an arsenal of nuclear weapons and that’s a tremendous danger for our collective future.” 

Just a couple of days ago, Trump, having been disappointed by a supine Republican Congress, issued an executive order that will make it easier for people to band together to obtain health insurance tailored to their needs (instead of being forced into federally defined, one-size-fits-all plans) while also ending the unconstitutional federal subsidies (unconstitutional because the money wasn’t appropriated by Congress) to big insurance companies, amounting to some $7 billion per year (the price of getting those companies on board with Obamacare in the first place).

Can you imagine how much we could have accomplished of the GOP Establishment wasn't a bunch of big-government socialist fucktards trying to stymie Trump at every turn?  Ho.  Lee.  Crap.

Step One in repealing Obamacare

Just happened.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday that will allow Americans to purchase health insurance across state lines. 

The order is intended to expand choices to current Obamacare plans and increase competition so that costs come down for consumers.

If Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan were actual conservatives, instead of money-grubbing, scum-sucking, big-government Democrat swamp dwellers, legislation to do this would have been sitting on Trump's desk on day one.  Instead, we got...  nothing.  McConnell and Ryan have fought harder to keep DACA than they have to repeal Obamacare.

But since Obamacare was pretty much an executive order, with a bunch of executive orders pushing it along, I'm fine with repealing it by executive order.

This ain't good

First and foremost, standards at West Point are nonexistent. They exist on paper, but nowhere else. The senior administration at West Point inexplicably refuses to enforce West Point’s publicly touted high standards on cadets, and, having picked up on this, cadets refuse to enforce standards on each other. The Superintendent refuses to enforce admissions standards or the cadet Honor Code, the Dean refuses to enforce academic standards, and the Commandant refuses to enforce standards of conduct and discipline. The end result is a sort of malaise that pervades the entire institution. Nothing matters anymore. Cadets know this, and it has given rise to a level of cadet arrogance and entitlement the likes of which West Point has never seen in its history.

Even the curriculum itself has suffered. The plebe American History course has been revamped to focus completely on race and on the narrative that America is founded solely on a history of racial oppression. Cadets derisively call it the “I Hate America Course.” Simultaneously, the plebe International History course now focuses on gender to the exclusion of many other important themes. On the other hand, an entire semester of military history was recently deleted from the curriculum (at West Point!). In all courses, the bar has been lowered to the point where it is irrelevant. If a cadet fails a course, the instructor is blamed, so instructors are incentivized to pass everyone. Additionally, instead of responding to cadet failure with an insistence that cadets rise to the challenge and meet the standard, the bar for passing the course itself is simply lowered. This pattern is widespread and pervades every academic department.

I have dealt with several West Pointers in my career.  With the exception of one of them, I have found them to be....  underwhelming.  In one case I wondered how the hell they ever managed to obtain the rank they did, given their complete, total and overwhelming lack of any kind of leadership what so ever.

I guess now I know.

This brings me to the case of now-2LT Spenser Rapone. It is not at all surprising that the Academy turned a blind eye to his behavior and to his very public hatred of West Point, the Army, and this nation. I knew at the time I wrote that sworn statement in 2015 that he would go on to graduate. It is not so much that West Point’s leadership defends his views (Prof. Hosein did, however); it is that West Point’s senior leaders are infected with apathy: they simply do not want to deal with any problem, regardless of how grievous a violation of standards and/or discipline it may be. They are so reticent to separate problematic cadets (undoubtedly due to the “developmental model” that now exists at USMA) that someone like Rapone can easily slip through the cracks. In other words, West Point’s leaders choose the easier wrong over the harder right.

This cannot and will not end well for the Army.  Commie Twatwaffles like Spenser Rapone will end up being "unfortunately killed by the enemy by a 5.56 round through the back of the skull" in a combat zone.  An Army who's leadership is so morally bankrupt cannot lead Soldiers into war.  Soldiers know if their leadership is worthy or not, and they act accordingly.

Huge number of people at West Point need to be relieved of command and responsibility.  The sooner the better.

Will Harvey Weinstein help bring down Hollywood?

I doubt it.  There are too many perverts, creeps, degenerates and flat out rapists in power and in control.  But it sure is fun to watch them squirm for a bit.

Seydoux says she saw Weinstein making similar moves on a young actress at a subsequent event. “That’s the most disgusting thing,” she writes, “Everyone knew what Harvey was up to and no one did anything. It’s unbelievable that he’s been able to act like this for decades and still keep his career.”

The heads of Hollywood have done something I had previously thought impossible - they have made me think even LESS of Hollywood in general.  I didn't think my opinion of Hollywood and the entertainment industry could get any lower.

NFL writes a pathetic letter

Gosh, wouldn't it be so nice if everybody stood for the National Anthem?

Note that the letter (which can be viewed here, if the above pic isn't big enough to read) sticks to this "we believe" and "we would like" type language. It never invokes the actual rulebook, nor does it instruct anyone that they must stand for the flag.

I was listening to Rush yesterday, and he pointed out "Does nobody even look at the ads the NFL plays during games?  Do they really think their fans are the wine and brie set?"  More and more I'm convinced that these people got to where they are through a combination of dumb luck and old money, because anyone who's bothered to watch a game, and the commercials during that game, could deduce rather quickly who the NFL fans are and what they would think about kneeling during the National Anthem.  Apparently, the NFL owners, and marketing people, and Rodger Goodell, are too fucking stupid to do even that.

We can't trust the FBI.

The FBI is discounting ISIS’ claim that the Las Vegas attack was jihad. But is the FBI really trustworthy? 

The Islamic State says Steven Paddock converted six months ago. He filmed himself killing; jihadis do that and post it online. The attack was meticulously planned, as jihad attacks are, and Paddock likely had an accomplice. Paddock made numerous trips to the Middle East. Over 200 of his foreign financial transactions were flagged for possible “covert terrorism financing.” 

Contrary to the ignorant, misinformed and delusional talking heads in the media, ISIS does not take responsibility for events that are not theirs. This has led even the New York Times’ terrorism expert to give credence to ISIS’ claims. The Philippines attack at Resorts World Casino was theirs. And there again, ISIS’ initial claims of responsibility were dismissed.

The absolute shitshow that is James Comey, Robert Muller, the entire DOJ refusal to go after the government officials who broke the law (and are currently breaking the law), the hounding of private citizens for political reasons....  I can go on.  Geller does go on, and you should read the whole thing.  But that this point the FBI is a political entity used to attack the Right.  The CIA is worse.

Seriously, one massive reason Donald Trump got elected is because the average person does not trust the government.  And why should they?  Exactly what actions have the government taken to prove that they're trustworthy?  I can name multiple actions to prove why they are UN-trustworthy.

Beginning in 2018, California law will have harsher penalties for health care workers who address a senior transgender patient with the “wrong” pronouns than for people who knowingly infect others with HIV. 

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation on Friday lowering the maximum penalty for knowingly infecting or exposing a person to HIV to six months in prison — down from a maximum of eight years. Also last week, Brown signed legislation allowing for penalties of up to one year in jail for health care workers who “willfully and repeatedly” use the “wrong” pronouns to refer to a senior transgender patient.

I will not be going back to Kalifornia  Ever.  I certainly won't be having any kinds of surgery in Kalifornia, because people with HIV can now donate blood in Kalifornia and get nothing but a slap on the wrist for it.  Ain't Leftism grand?

I know there are people in Kalifornia who are good, honest, hard working people.  But that state is controlled by Los Angeles and San Fransicko, and those are two cities who deserve the whole Sodom and Gomorrah treatment.

Rapone’s response, that he felt “singled out,” is puzzling when one considers the lengths to which the cadet went in order to cast himself as a righteous nonconformist. 

In fact, Rapone had singled himself out during his confrontation with Heffington, being in civilian clothes in an academic building (a violation of regulations), by refusing to stand when a superior officer entered the room (a breach of military protocol), and by refusing to answer a superior officer’s direct question regarding who had been yelling (refusal to obey a lawful order). 

Most incredibly, Rapone had the gall to respond with righteous indignation.

This Marxist fuckstick has no business being in the military, much less being in charge of troops.

In November 2015, after being removed from his Ranger battalion for violating standards, Rapone was a cadet in his final year at the academy. 

He should have been removed from West Point right then and there.

Anyone who has spent five minutes at a gun range knows there are no such things as automatic rounds.  Anyone who bothers to look things up online knows there are no such things as automatic rounds. 

But apparently this asshat with a by-line can't be bothered to do thirty seconds of internet research, and instead goes into hysterics because he says automatic rounds aren't illegal.

Well yes, mythical items that don't exist cannot truly be made illegal.

Equifax, which just lost millions of people's personal identity information, was just handed a fat contract by the IRS to "verify" taxpayer identities.

The notice describes the contract as a "sole source order", meaning Equifax is the only company deemed capable of providing the service.  It says the order was issued to prevent a lapse in identity checks while officials resolve a dispute over a separate contract.

Folks, I've dealt with fiscal law and contracts and all kinds of money issues while working for the Army.  If I did some shit like this, I'd be in jail.  The people responsible for this should also be in jail.  This is why nobody trusts the government - because it's corrupt, refuses to follow the law, and is filled with unaccountable parasites who get away with their law-breaking because parasites protect their own.

At this point, I wouldn't allow one single more person from Somalia into this country.  Not one.

The terrorist has now been identified as Abdulahi Hasan Sharif, a Somali national who was granted refugee status in Canada. Like most such terrorists, he is a “known wolf.”

If you want to see the effects of large-scale Somali immigration, go visit "Little Mogadishu" in Minneapolis.  Nope.  No thank you, not where I live.

of Overrated Art.  I have found that most modern art is something that could be recreated by a mentally-challenged three-year-old, and that all concepts of beauty and inspiration are gone.  You won't catch me inside a modern art gallery.

There's plenty of art that I do enjoy.  But much like I thin JS Bach is superior to 99.9999% of modern music, I find the paintings of Renaissance painters who's names I don't even know superior to the crap produced today and called "art".
