Here's a nice little slice of sanity

Amongst all the people screaming about how we're all gonna die in the next 30 days from the Wuhan Kung-Flu.

Keep in mind that despite any problems with paying for it, we have the best health care in the world right here in the US. Italy? Not so much, which is why their mortality rate is higher. China? Not even close. Iran? 7th Century medicine is not up to the task.

None of the people I know, including my 100 year old Mother in Law, are hysterical about this.

This is not the plague.  We're not all gonna die.  Wash your hands.  Don't trust the Chi-Coms to do anything other than grab and maintain power through any means necessary.  And remember that the Wuhan virus came from a communist country with single-payer health care, and has thrived in countries with single-payer health care like Italy.  I won't even go into what's wrong with Iran, because I don't have the time required to write it all down.

The EU is most likely fucked.  They have single-payer health care, which is essentially a death sentence to older folks under these situations.  They have millions upon millions of 7th century barbarians who wipe their ass with their hands and then go rape the local women, which is NOT a good thing for sanitation or hygiene.

We're not Italy, or any of the EU.  We're not Iran.  And we're not China, although the Democrats are working to change that as quickly as possible.  We will get through this.  Don't panic.  Wash your hands.

Pretty much everything Elizabeth Warren says is a lie

And if you wait long enough, the proof will come out.

Terrible advocacy masquerading as social science though it was, the new Warren study became a staple of the advocacy for Obamacare. In fact, President Obama relied on it in his 2009 State of the Union address.
But now, the Washington Post reports that a new study shows Warren’s figures to be wildly off-the-mark. The new study finds that, in reality, hospitalizations cause only about 4 percent of bankruptcies among the non-elderly adults. This finding is based on hospitalizations that occurred several years before the federal Affordable Care Act expanded insurance coverageto millions of Americans.
What about the uninsured? The study estimates that hospitalizations were responsible for only about 6 percent of bankruptcies among this group.
And yet those lies were used to push Obamacare, one of the most repugnant pieces of legislation ever put forth by Congress.

This is government healthcare

Hey, has anyone from the VA been fired for covering up the two-year waiting list?  What about the two criminals who defrauded the government out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, who were fired, but then had their termination reversed by some review panel?  Are they still kicking around?

It's almost as if allowing an unelected, unaccountable bureaucracy to run a health care system is a bad idea!  I know, right?  WHO WOULDA THUNK IT?

Socialism in a nutshell

"Will Americans Die Young Enough to Save Pension Plans?"

Not "How can we stop blowing money like a drunken sailor on shore leave in a Thailand whorehouse".  Nope, can't ask that.  And not "How can we avoid selling our grandchildren's children into economic slavery?"  Can't ask that question either.  Nope, it's "How can we make these stupid proles die off quicker?"

And you wonder why they want the government in charge of health care.

Step One in repealing Obamacare

Just happened.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday that will allow Americans to purchase health insurance across state lines.
The order is intended to expand choices to current Obamacare plans and increase competition so that costs come down for consumers.

If Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan were actual conservatives, instead of money-grubbing, scum-sucking, big-government Democrat swamp dwellers, legislation to do this would have been sitting on Trump's desk on day one.  Instead, we got...  nothing.  McConnell and Ryan have fought harder to keep DACA than they have to repeal Obamacare.

But since Obamacare was pretty much an executive order, with a bunch of executive orders pushing it along, I'm fine with repealing it by executive order.

$72 Million will buy you a lot of health care

And technically speaking, I guess it did buy a lot of health care.  But it went to people who had no business using that money.

An estimated $72 million in Medicaid payments were made to potentially ineligible beneficiaries in Kentucky, according to an audit from the agency's inspector general.
The audit found the state agency in Kentucky did not always determine eligibility status for Medicaid benefits in line with federal and state requirements and that the agency did not keep paperwork noting it verified citizenship status.
Ever driven around Kentucky?  That $72 mil could do a lot of good, if it actually went to the people it was supposed to go to.

The world of the VA

I love that quote:  "Giving American Service-members a second chance to die for their country"

If you want long waits, even inside the doctor’s office, multi-month waits before actually seeing a doctor about pressing issues, if you want faceless bureaucrats determining your life, if you truly in your heart of hearts think that somehow this is healthy and good, you go right on ahead. If you want to see more babies wind up like Charlie Gard, you go right on ahead and do that damnably awful thing.

"Single-Payer" healthcare, socialized healthcare, government healthcare, they're all the same thing, and they end up the same way:  You die, slowly, painfully, because the government isn't interested in helping you.  You are a cost.  A liability.  And the sooner you die, the less they have to spend on you.

At this point, I would be OK with just abolishing the VA.

Just fire everybody at the same time and shutter the entire agency.

On Tuesday, the Appeals Court for the Federal Circuit ruled that the firing of former Phoenix Veterans Affairs (VA) Director Sharon Helman, a convicted felon, was unconstitutional. While this does not mean Helman will return to work, the ruling may strike a powerful blow against VA accountability reform.

So this felon, this convicted felon, who presided over Veterans dying while on a waiting list and covering it up, falsifying documents, just basically making shit up to cover her criminal ass, didn't even get fired for the dead Veterans who piled up under her watch.  Nope.  She got fired for accepting gifts she shouldn't have taken, and even that has been overturned.

In other words, Helman got off scot free from the scandal, but was fired because she accepted $50,000 in gifts without reporting them. The gifts came from Dennis "Max" Lewis, a former VA executive who had mentored Helman before going into private business as a lobbyist with a company that secured millions of dollars in VA contracts. The gifts included a $11,000 family vacation to Disneyland, spa and resort visits, air fare, and concert tickets. Helman was sentenced to two years probation in 2016.

I had to take a fiscal law class before I was allowed to approve DTS authorizations way back in 2008.  If you don't know what DTS is, consider yourself lucky.  But the salient point is that even some guy just approving someone else's travel authorizations had to be taught that you DO NOT TAKE GIFTS.  YOU DO NOT ACCEPT BRIBES.  There are laws that cover what you can and cannot accept, and I couldn't even accept a cold beer from a hotel that I was doing business with.

So this criminal bitch allows Veterans to die while on a waiting list, covers it up, accepts 50K in bribes, and the government insists that she should be set free?

Destroy it all.  It's corrupt.  Rotten to the core.  Unsalvageable.  Blow it to hell and salt the earth it stood on.

It's health care is a joke.  It's administration is criminal.  It's internal processes are that of parasites looking to continue feeding from a host.  Kill it.  Kill it with fire.

RyanCare fails

As Ace puts it:  Shit Sandwich.

Not only was RyanCare a shit sandwich, the bill's roll-out shows a complete and total lack of any real leadership on the part of Paul Ryan and whoever else decided to throw this shit sandwich together.  What a joke.  What a pathetic, sad joke.

Somehow, some way, you already knew this.

60% of Obamacare defenders are paid to post on social media.

A majority of online and social media defenders of Obamacare are professionals who are "paid to post," according to a digital expert.
"Sixty percent of all the posts were made from 100 profiles, posting between the hours of 9 and 5 Pacific Time," said Michael Brown. "They were paid to post."
His shocking analysis was revealed on this weekend's Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson, broadcast on Sinclair stations and streamed live Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Her upcoming show focuses on information wars and Brown was describing what happened when he had a problem with Obamacare and complained online.
Brown said that social media is used to manipulate opinion, proven in the last presidential election.

Obamacare has been, is, and always will be a bag full of toxic crap, sold with lies, pushed by communists, and defended by hacks.

Thank god for the internet

Because a couple of decades ago, the statist, fascist Left would have just said "I never said that!"  But now, speeches live forever.

Someone once said to me, 'Well, this is a Trojan horse for single payer.' Well, it's not a Trojan horse, right? It's just right there! I'm telling you, we're going to get there over time, slowly, but we'll move away from reliance on employment based health insurance as we should. But we're going to do it in a way that we're not going to frighten people into thinking that they're going to lose their private insurance.

You want to see government health care in action?  You need to look no further than the VA hospital system, where veterans wait for years to get care, often dying while they wait, but the VA hires 160+ interior designers (at the cost of millions of dollars in total) and spends more millions of dollars on "art" to hang in hospitals that the vets cannot get care at.

Government health care is the VA system for everyone.  The only people who benefit are the politically connected elites who stand to make huge profits by shuffling your tax dollars to their back-scratching contacts.

167 Interior Designers work for the VA

Yes, really.

At $100,000 in combined salaries and benefits — many actually make more — the cost of employing those 167 designers would add up to $17 million a year, or $136 million during the eight years of the Obama administration, making the salaries of the people in charge of picking out art dwarf even those art costs.

Wouldn't it be nice if that money were to go to...  oh, I don't know....  MEDICAL STAFF?  That might possibly TREAT VETERANS BEFORE THEY DIE WHILE WAITING FOR CARE?

Welcome to Government-Run Health Care, folks.  Expect more of the same.

Oh, and here's your un-PC comment of the day:  It should not be a shock that the administration who cares more about gays and trannies than military readiness also cares more about interior design than treating military veterans.

Let's see how many people THAT pisses off.

More, please

Doctors abandon insurance, go with cash only business model.  I truly wish I could find one of these places around where I live.  I'd have the Mrs. go there rather than trusting on Tricare.  Tricare, being a government insurance plan, pays out almost nothing to the doctors, and hence is accepted in fewer and fewer places.  Medicare is being accepted in fewer and fewer places.  This isn't an "accident".  The government cannot run a massive program with any kind of success.  They just can't.  Name one government program in my lifetime that has done the job it was given up to standard and without going over budget - you can't.  It.  Does.  Not.  Exist.

I'm honestly happy to see doctors turning away from insurance, because too many people today don't even understand what they're paying for their health care.

While the cash-only model may please doctors, some question whether it's good for middle- and low-income people.
Kathleen Stoll, director of health policy at the consumer advocacy group Families U.S.A., didn't want to speak directly to either Petersen's or Nunamaker's practice, as she didn't know the specifics of each.
But in general, she fears that doctors who switch to a cash-only model will drive away the patients who can't afford a monthly membership fee or thousands of dollars for an operation.

I don't know, how bad will it be when people are paying thousands of dollars per month for health insurance that isn't accepted by any doctors around them, Ms. Stoll?  Hell, people on Obamacare are already finding it hard to get a doctor to accept their plan, which I think is just awesome.  The sooner Obamacare fails the better.

Your Healthcare of the Future!

When ever you encounter a brainless Leftist drone (redundancy alert) who lurves them some Obamacare, just remind them that Government Healthcare will kill them.  And nobody will do a thing about it.

Government watchdogs at the Department of Veterans Affairs wrongly closed a years-long investigation into failures at a Wisconsin VA hospital and attempted to prevent a report about the probe from going public, the Senate Homeland Security Committee has concluded.
The alleged cover-up was detailed in a report released Tuesday by the committee, which has looked into allegations of veteran mistreatment at the Tomah, Wis., VA hospital for the past 16 months.

This WILL be coming to a government-controlled hospital near you in the near future.  Count on it.

Call me cruel if you wish

But I want these people to hurt.  I want them to be refused by doctor after doctor until they're forced to wander into an ER filled with people who don't speak English to try to get care.  I want them to experience as much pain and misery as they can possibly experience.  Human beings learn from pain and repetition.  Some few folks can learn from other people's experience, but that takes the wisdom to do so, and the Left has proven that wisdom isn't just something they don't have, it's something they shun and scorn.

AMY MOSES and her circle of self-employed small-business owners were supporters of President Obama and the Affordable Care Act. They bought policies on the newly created New York State exchange. But when they called doctors and hospitals in Manhattan to schedule appointments, they were dismayed to be turned away again and again with a common refrain: “We don’t take Obamacare,” the umbrella epithet for the hundreds of plans offered through the president’s signature health legislation.
“Anyone who is on these plans knows it’s a two-tiered system,” said Ms. Moses, describing the emotional sting of those words to a successful entrepreneur.

Fuck you and your emotional sting, Amy.  And fuck you sideways up a tree with a chainsaw too.  YOU are the brain-dead fucking Obamawhore who helped push that narcissistic Marxist on this country.  YOU and your Obama-fellating pals are the brainless fucking shitweasels who willingly swallowed the lies and the bullshit from the Democrats and their allies like that fucking worm Gruber.  YOU and the rest of your Obama worshipping drones are the reason that a travesty like Obamacare was put into place.

I want you to fucking hurt.  I want you to bleed.  I want you to suffer the pain that you have inflicted on so many other people who actually HAD brains and who actually TRIED to warn brainless fucking zombies like you about what was coming.

I want you to suffer.  And I want your suffering to be legendary, because that's the only thing that will break through that shit-stuffed head of yours.  That's the only thing that might wake you up from your Liberal coma.  That's the only thing that might make you sit up in your NYC apartment and realize that you were wrong to worship Obama and his Marxist platitudes.

And in your suffering, Amy, we might be able to find a way to save this country.  Maybe.  If we have time.  But thanks to people like you, Amy, this country is fucked, maybe completely fucked, and if we're on the path with no solution, well then....  I want you to suffer even more.

So take your "emotional sting" and shove it up your ass, right next to your head.  May you never find a doctor who takes Obamacare.  May you never get the treatment you need under your Obamacare plan.  I hope you go bankrupt paying your medical bills to doctors who refuse to take Obamacare.  And I hope we can then use you as an example of who and what not to be in life.

Yours Truly,

Ragin' Dave.

This is standard practice in Socialized health care systems.

Don't actually detect and treat the problem.  Stop testing for the problem and wait for people to die quickly.

Hey, remember when that slimy demonic shithead from Florida claimed that the Republicans just wanted people to die quickly?

If you’re at risk of prostate cancer — in other words, if you’re male — the best place to be is the United States, where survival rates are highest in the world. But not for long, if the Obama administration gets its way in curtailing a test that flags prostate cancer before it spreads.
The administration wants to penalize doctors who routinely order the PSA blood test. Under a proposed policy, those doctors will get demerits for being considered over-spenders, while doctors who skip the test will be rewarded with a high “quality” rating from the government — and be paid more.
The Obama administration claims less care is better. That’s double-talk. An editorial in the current issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association points to a sudden, disturbing drop in prostate-cancer detection since 2011, when the United States Preventive Services Task Force recommended against using this simple test.
Worse, the journal predicts more prostate-cancer deaths due to the drop.

As predicted, Obamacare and every other socialist health care system just wants older patients to die, so they don't have to spend money on them.  Anyone with half a brain could have seen this scenario coming.

But that leaves out Democrat voters, doesn't it?

We all could tell Gruber was a dictator-in-waiting

So crap like this is no surprise.

Jonathan Gruber, long credited as the architect of ObamaCare, once discussed the necessity of taxing fat people by body weight in order to fight obesity.
“Ultimately, what may be needed to address the obesity problem are direct taxes on body weight,” Gruber wrote in an essay for the National Institute for Health Care Management in April 2010, just months after helping design ObamaCare with the president in the Oval Office and during the period in which he was under contract as an Obama administration consultant.

That's the thing about tyrants - they never stop ruling your life.  From top to bottom, the ProgNazis want to tell you what to do, how to act, who to be, what to wear, what to eat, where to live, HOW to live.

Now, if that doesn't scare you, then consider the fact that if the government starts taxing body weight, it uses a Body Mass Index that considered Michael Jordan to be "obese" during his playing days.

Dude had maybe 10% body fat on him, max.  Ran up and down a court every night.  And because he had enough muscle on his frame to withstand playing the game, the government considered him "obese".

And Gruber wants to tax "obese" people.

Just another idea brought to you by the Democrat American Communist Party!

Things the US Media won't tell you.

Obamacare costs $50,000 for every person who's "insured".

The numbers are daunting: It will take $1.993 trillion, a number that looks like $1,993,000,000,000, to provide insurance subsidies to poor and middle-class Americans, and to pay for a massive expansion of Medicaid and CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) costs.
Offsetting that massive outlay will be $643 billion in new taxes, penalties and fees related to the Obamacare law.
That revenue includes quickly escalating penalties – or 'taxes,' as the U.S. Supreme Court described them – on people who resist Washington's command to buy medical insurance.
It also includes income from a controversial medical device tax, which some Republicans predict will be eliminated in the next two years.
If they're right, Obamacare's per-person cost would be even higher.

I just hope that I'm settled in up in Northern Idaho when the entire system comes crashing down.  Or at least someplace rural.  Someplace where I'm not surrounded by "vibrant youths" when their EBT cards flash all zeros because the gummit ain't got the money to pay them off.

Obamacare in four sentances

Over ten thousand pages of horrible legislation, condensed down into four easily understood sentences.

  1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to uninsure the insured.
  2. Next, we require the newly uninsured to be re-insured.
  3. To re-insure the newly uninsured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.
  4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became uninsured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original uninsured can be insured, which will be free of charge to them.

It doesn't go into just how awful the law truly is, but there's the bare bones of it.
