I ain't as good as I once was

I used to be able to sleep in all day long. I'd go to bed late, and then wake up fresh at the crack 'o noon. I could recharge my batteries in one friggin 24 hour period.

Last night I go to bed at eleven, and I purposely leave the alarm off. No damn alarm today. Nope, but there I was awake at 6:30 AM, bright eyed and bushy-tailed. So I gave up and started some coffee.

I'm turning into my father.

Bend Over, Here It Comes Again.

The worthless criminals hide.

I am convinced that this "economic crisis" isn't a crisis at all. You want to know why? Because the people telling me that it's a crisis are just going about like business as normal. Case in point - loading down this bailout bill with shit-tons of earmarks.

Fucking thieves. Fucking oxygen thieves. I'm so glad that the event you say is a crisis, and the legislation you say is critical to the survival of our economy, can be used as just another vehicle to waste taxpayer money and help you get re-elected. Fuck every last bastard who voted for this bill, and that includes Sen. Craig of Idaho as well.

Thankfully, the Senator from my district voted against it. So I'm happy in that case.

But let's be clear - this was a manufactured crisis. It was manufactured in Congress, where the socialists and communists do what they do and royally screw the country. It was exacerbated by Congress, and now Congress is using this so-called crisis to fuck over the American taxpayer yet again.

I need to go vomit.

I'm looking at the pictures of Biden and Palin on this page here. I've got to ask - are those pictures from the debate last night?

Because if they are, wow.... Biden looks like a friggin' ZOMBIE.

House coming along

Yeah, we've got more to do. But it's looking like a house, and not a warehouse. Every box we empty out into it's proper location is a small victory.

This weekend is the last major push. Quite a bit to do. But once it's all done, I'll be able to sit on my couch, in my livingroom in my house, and think "Yep. It's mine."

VP Debate

Didn't watch it. Don't have TV hooked up, and I don't plan on getting it hooked up. But from what I'm reading, I missed a good debate. Good as in Saracuda ripping Joe "Smirky" Biden a new asshole.

Ah well. It's still not worth hooking up cable to see it.

Hmmmm.... seems some people disagree that Palin did very well.

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

James Simpson has written an article, Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis, so link rich, so informative, so profoundly disturbing, that you will read it and re-read it over the next couple of days.

For the first time I actually believe that the consequences of an American election could be violence because of the multitude of convergent 'causes'.

1) America's national defense will be disabled for a generation through budget cuts, program eliminations and appeasement. We will stand defenseless to nuclear blackmail from nations like North Korea because we will not be allowed to defend ourselves with proven missile defense systems abandoned by the Leftists.

2) American's individual liberties will be tossed aside by the very Leftists who have worked themselves into a frenzy of self-deluded fantasies about liberties supposedly lost to the "Bush Regime", or the "Patriot Act". Years of projection will be exposed as they will mobilize to "retaliate" for these imagined slights by doing exactly that which they falsely claimed was done to them. Remember it was Al Gore and Bill Clinton who tried to put the 'V'-chip into your cell phone to make it easier to monitor your conversations.

3) America's economy will be driven into a deep recession, with spiraling prices, exploding unemployment, and at every opportunity the "solutions" legislated and implemented will only compound the problems created by exactly those solutions. Throughout the entire debacle the MainStreamMedia will cheerlead the destruction, ignore the well documented folly of the Socialist programs, and blame every failure upon the previous administration and claim that the policies were preventing far worse from befalling us all. Hey, it worked for FDR.

4) Racial preference policies implemented by a Hawaiian with a chip on his shoulder, willing to appoint the worst haters into positions of authority, sheltered from responsibility for their excess, will lead to racial divisions unseen in decades and set back race relations in this country for generations.

In a word... America is headed towards decades of devolution.

Just.... Wow....

I'm betting that he demands to be called "Dear Leader" after this.

More facts we already knew

Yes, the MSM is in the tank for Obama. Duh. No kidding. The MSM has been giving the Democrat American Communist Party a tongue-bath for decades now, and shitting all over conservatives every chance they got. I've known this for years. I'm betting that most everyone who comes here and reads my rambling diatribes knew this as well. The MSM fudges the truth. The tell only half the story. And they flat out lie.

The sad part is, even when you shove the proof under a Leftists nose, they refuse to see it.

Fuck it. I'm stealing a line from Misha: Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.

A different meaning

When I lived in Puerto Rico, I would go over to my neighbor's house and we would have a cigar, maybe some rum. But invariably, as we sat under his carport talking, we would hear gunfire:

Normally it was followed by other gunfire:

And we would sit there and wonder if a round was going to come through the window, or into the carport, or if someone we knew was going to get shot by some idiotic fucking drug dealing piece of shit with bad aim. I couldn't own a gun in Puerto Rico if my life depended on it, but the worthless pieces of shit who ran the drug world down there could get a fully auto AK-47. And they would fire them off on a regular basis.

Tonight, I go out to let the dog do her thing in the yard. I'm outside, watching her sniff for a spot to squat, and I hear units training on Ft. McCoy. I'm literally miles away, but I can still hear someone light off a .50 cal.

BOP BOP BOP BOP BOP BOP BOP! It's a sound that you can recognize if you've ever heard it before. Even now, years after I had the chance to push the trigger myself, I can hear that sound and think "That's a Ma Deuce."

Then I hear a 240B join in the mix. And I stand there, and think to myself.... This is the second place where I've heard automatic gunfire at night. But it has a different meaning here, doesn't it? It's not some hopped-up drug head capping a round in another hopped-up drug head's ass. The people firing those guns aren't some random criminal. They're people like you and I, training to make sure they get home alive.

Gunfire doesn't bother me here much. It's not that I don't hear it, but it has a different meaning.

More good video

Watch it. Absorb it. Spread it around.

If you want to know why the housing bubble collapsed, just look to the Left side of the political isle.

Anyone who votes Democrat American Communist Party this election is either a crook, a dirty liar, or a mental retard with the IQ of a lemming.

Bailout Bill?

As I'm up here in Packer Country, the entire area is in mourning after yet another Packer loss. But my Seahawks didn't lose!

Because they had a bye week and didn't play. But still, no loss this week! And maybe they can actually find someone else other than Koren "Crisco Hands" Robinson to catch a ball. It would be nice if Matt Hasselbeck could find a real receiver to throw to.

And Terrel Owens lost. I'm sorry Cowboy fans, but I'm never going to root for a team that has T.O. on it.

Found at Drumwaster's place. WATCH IT!

Keven Baker has a link to a Mark Levin piece that describes just how the whole Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac crisis came to a head. And who is to blame.

Don't read it until tomorrow. You don't want to end your Sunday in a screaming rage.

Culture of Entitlement

Go check this out. You want to know why the housing market is failing? It's not just that the government forced banks to loan money to people who shouldn't have ever been given a loan - I read this and I almost crapped myself.

It was not easy to come to terms with this, to realize I would never recover that money. But once I did come to terms with it, I felt free, in charge of my own destiny and wallet. I was ready to walk away from the house, to propose a deed in lieu, or to foreclose if needed. [....]

After all, the bank loaned me $450,000 - and will end up making $600,000 on the deal, from my down payment, a year-plus of on-time mortgage payments, and the home sale for $405,000. But I will still be penalized. Make sense to you? Me neither. But oh f****ng well. The system is broken, and no one but Barney Frank seems to give a s**t about people like me.

Oh my god. Just..... holy crap. What a self-absorbed, ignorant,. stupid, idiotic, unprofessional, irresponsible bitch! Hey dipshit - You're going to pay $600,000 in the end because YOU ARE NOT USING YOUR MONEY TO BUY THE HOUSE! YOU'RE USING THE BANK'S MONEY, AND YOU DAMN SURE HAVE TO PAY TO USE SOMEONE ELSE'S MONEY!

My god.... And people like her are out there breeding and voting. No wonder this country has problems.
