We need this man to be the nominee

Cold Fury alerts us to a NR article on Fred Thompson that needs to be read.

You know, when I'm asked which of the current group of Democratic candidates I prefer to run against, I always say it really doesn't matter…These days all those candidates, all the Democratic leaders, are one and the same. They’re all NEA-MoveOn.org-ACLU-Michael Moore Democrats. They’ve allowed these radicals to take control of their party and dictate their course.

So this election is important not just to enact our conservative principles. This election is important to salvage a once-great political party from the grip of extremism and shake it back to its senses. It's time to give not just Republicans but independents, and, yes, good Democrats a chance to call a halt to the leftward lurch of the once-proud party of working people.

So in seeking the nomination of my own party, I want to say something a little unusual. I am asking my fellow Republicans to vote for me not only for what I have to say to them, but for what I have to say to the members of the other party—the millions of Democrats who haven't left the Democratic party so much as their party's national leadership has left them.

Oh hell yes. Fred Thompson for President. That's my choice. DANEgerus and Steve B. may disagree with me of course, but as for this particular blogger, I'm rooting for Fred Dalton Thompson.

Attorney Jay R. Grodner vandalizes a Marine's car

Yes... they spit on the troops then, and they do now:
Anti-Military Lawyer Damages Marine's Car on Eve of Deployment
Mike left his friend's apartment and caught the man keying his car on multiple sides. [pic]
...
the man told Mike, "you think you can do whatever you want with Department of Defense license plates and tags". (In Illinois you can purchase veteran, Marine, or medal plates. Mike has Illinois Marine Corps license plates.) During the exchange, he made additional anti-military comments.

Mike called the Chicago police and had the man arrested. A citation against the man was issued for misdemeanor criminal damage to private property.

The police report (and I have copies if needed) states:
Victim related to P/O that as he walked back to his vehicle, he observed the offender leaning up against his vehicle and rubbed/dragged his left arm and hand across the passenger side. As offender walked away from victim's vehicle, victim observed a scratch along the rear trunk and passenger's door area where offender dragged his arm and hand over. Victim and witness stopped offender and confronted him. Victim has military plates and decals on his vehicle and offender made anti war and military comments to victim. Upon P/O's arrival to scene, offender denied scratch victim's vehicle, but did admit to rubbing past it. Victim at this time did not sign complaint, because he is leaving tour for military duty. Offender said they accused him of scratching the car because he is Jewish. Offender's statements/responses to P/O's questions unreasonable.
As it turns out, the man is Chicago lawyer Jay R. Grodner, who owns a law firm in the city and has offices in the suburbs.

After sending the car to the body shop, it was determined there is $2400 in damage, making this a felony. Mike went to court Friday morning to collect the damages against Mr. Grodner and file felony charges. Though the damages are over $300 (the amount which determines felony or misdemeanor) Grodner offered Mike to pay his deductible, $100, and have Mike's insurance pay for it.

The Illinois States Attorneys tried to coerce Mike into accepting the offer. Appalled, Mike said he wanted this to be a felony. The state told Mike that it was not worth pursuing felony damage against Grodner because they don't have the time. In addition, the state prosecutors told him that he would never it 'would be difficult to recover the damages' from Grodner because he is a lawyer.

Instead, the State asked Mike if he would accept probation for Grodner. Mike accepted, probation was offered to Grodner, and Grodner declined the offer, saying within ear shot of Mike, "I'm not going to make it easy on this kid". Mike's next court date is tomorrow, Monday, December 31st, to pursue misdemeanor charges against Grodner.
...
Jay Grodner knows this and is going to file for a continuance until Mike is gone and cannot appear in court.
All the contact information is at BlackFive... don't contact Mr. Grodner of course... that would be wrong... like keying a car.

I guess the part that frosts me is this 4-inch dicked thug is counting on the Marine's conduct to avoid his own beating, dismisses him with an offer of $100 for his $2400 in damage and then whines the Marine "called him a Jew".

Since we can't... but if you are a Jew... please let this POS know what you think of him demanding "victim" status in the actual commission of a crime.

Why the ATF needs to be disbanded

I saw this in a thread at the GunThing.com Forums. It's yet another example of our government at it's worst, and why the Federal Government needs to be kept as small as possible.

"By the way, I am very empathetic to your problems with the Treasury Department's Waffen SS. My house burned down about a year ago. I almost died trying to find my dog in the smoke and flames, but I could not find him. The fire started in the garage from faulty electrical wiring. and the flames had engulfed the entire garage within a couple of minutes.

Unfortunately, I had just filled 3 bar-b-que propane tanks that day and set them in the garage. When those exploded, the additional heat caused my hunting ammunition and cabinet full of paint cans to explode. All of that was bad enough, but then my oxy/accedaline tanks exploded and the blast shook the neighborhood.

After the fire was out, I had the painful task of burying my dog. I could hardly see the hole I was digging through all the tears in my eyes. I had just laid him to rest when an ATF agent walked up and started asking me questions. He said that he had just listened to the 911 calls that had come in from the neighbors when the fire started. He said that there were 14 calls, and 8 of them reported bombs going off inside the garage. I explained that the neighbors simply heard the paint cans, ammunition, and black powder exploding from the heat. At that point he said, "Tell me more about the black powder, because as it stands you are facing 10 years." WHAT? Ten years for 10-20 lbs. of black powder? I told him that the law allows an individual to keep 50 lbs at home, and I had no where near that amount. He told me that in "His Town", he expects a phone call if I keep as much as a firecracker at my house. Since I had not been in contact with him, he said he was inclined to believe that my black powder was intended for bomb manufacturing. I told him a jury would hear the truth and see that the whole thing is absolutely ridiculous! He then told me that jury's are simply decorative ornaments in court cases the ATF is involved with, because the Federal Government does not lose. After two hours of questioning me and threatening me with prison, he wrote me a $500 "fireworks" citation. He told me I better count my blessings and be happy with just a citation.

When he handed me that citation, I was absolutely stunned. I said, "last night I lost my house and all of my possessions to the fire, I just buried my dog that I loved like a child, and you are writing me a $500.00 "fireworks" citation for having 20 lbs of black powder in my garage?" His response, again, was "yes, count your blessings." Before he left, he said, "Be aware that the ATF knows who you are now and where you live.....You better not cross paths with us again".

Cross paths with them??? My house burned down for God's sake! I didn't cross paths with those evil bastards. They found me, and then victimized me when I was at the lowest point in my life! I don't have as much as a traffic ticket on my record, but the ATF is "watching me" now?"
The government is not your friend. It has never BEEN your friend. The government is force, applied to various tasks. While some of those tasks may benefit the population, there are other times when it works against the people of this country. How many people have potentially explosive things around their houses? I have propane tanks for the grill, gas cans for the lawnmower, chemicals for lawn care, bug control and woodworking, all kept secured outside for safety reasons. But, should a massive fire take place there's a chance those things could go off like fireworks. Anyone who does welding might have an oxygen tank in or near his garage, and if THAT kicks off it's one hell of a blast.

I guess that would make us all criminals in the eyes of the government. Which is bullshit, and reason enough to hack the gummint off at the knees.

Patriots Undefeated

So the New England Patriots have gone 16-0. Can we now please stop that stupid champagne popping celebration every year? Yes, you're undefeated. Now win the Super Bowl or nobody will give a damn. In 2001, the Seattle Mariners won 116 games, only the second team in baseball history to do so. And they were eliminated in the ALCS by the New York Yankees, who in turn lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the World Series. Can anyone remember all the folks on that 2001 Mariners team without looking it up?

Nope.

So raise a glass to the Pats, but it's the Superbowl that counts. I'm not going to claim that my Seahawks are going to win it all, but if they can heal some of their injuries before they hit the playoffs they might have a slim chance.

They Never Learn

The jackals of the press, the whores and propaganda organs for the Democrat American Communist Party, the lying partisan gutterslime, filthy worthless oxygen thieves, never seem to learn that they no longer can spread their lies, their half-truths, without someone noticing and reporting on it. Some journalist once admitted that the media's biased and slanted reporting is good for around 15% of votes for the Democrat American Communist Party during an election. Keep that in mind when you read "report" after negative "report" on the Republicans. Notice who gets favorable press and who gets smeared.

This is why I refuse to buy any newspapers these days. As far as I care, they can all go out of business. We need to either force them to admit that they're biased and un-objective, or simply scrap them all and start over.

I only wish Al Gore got a beating this bad

But I suppose once people stop proving PT Barnum correct by buying the Goracle's bullshit lock, stock and barrel, he'll get what's coming to him. So in that vein, I offer you another one of Mr. Alger's takedown of the Global Warming Hoax.

Human caused Global Warming is nothing but a steaming pile of rotten horse shit. Period.

Where's my list?

Grocery Shopping? Done.

Mow and trim the lawn? Done. As a side note, once I have my own house I'm going to rip out every last little bit of grass and have nice brick-paved walkways with raised garden beds. Screw this lawn crap.

Breakfast? Done, a long time ago. Lunch? Getting there soon.

Hell, my chores are done. I'm going to enjoy the rest of the day!

Fill in the bubble

Pelosi(D) & Rangel(D) were warned

Pelosi(D) & Rangel(D) were warned that their games:
Pelosi Backs Higher Taxes
Would cause delays:
Democrats' failure to patch the AMT until after the deadline for printing IRS forms will result in tens of millions of late tax refunds.
But don't expect the MainStreamMedia to be honest on why you got screwed:
IRS says more than 3 million could have to wait until February to get refund
The (D)emocrats wanted tax increases AND a tax cut for the rich... so you pay.

The "BigLie"? It was the AMT that resulted in Bush's tax cuts targeting the middle class... the oft-repeated lie that Bush's tax cuts were for the rich is exposed by the (D)emocrats' scramble to raise the limit on the AMT that hits urban 'Blue' voters especially hard.

I'm with Kim du Toit

It's not like I trust the biased, agenda pushing Old-Stream Media at all these days, but sometimes you need to be reminded.

I’m starting to read more and more doom ‘n gloom stories about a looming recession in the U.S.—this in spite of other reports which showed Q3 growth was higher than forecast, and Christmas sales being up by 3.6% (brick ‘n mortar) and by 22% (online).

Before anyone starts talking about the economics, let me just pause for a moment and ask: if the public can be talked into believing that a recession is about to hit, or even has hit (despite the numbers), which party would benefit more from such a result, come the elections in Nov 2008?

Why of course: our old friends, the Democrats Socialists American Communist Party.

(Fixed that for ya there, Mr. DT)

Here's something to remember - when you hear all the howling and shrieking about how bad the economy is, before you take it to heart you need to look at who is doing the howling and shrieking. Are the Democrat American Communist Party members doing the yelling? Yes. Are the whores and propaganda organs otherwise known as the Main Stream Media yelling the same message? Yes.

Then it's bullshit, plain and simple.

How many consecutive quarters of growth have we had now? How many records has the Dow Jones set or broken? What's the NYSE sitting at now? This economy has been going like gangbusters, but at the first sign of a housing market correction all the usual suspect start screaming about how it's a recession or a failing economy or some other twaddle like that. It's bullshit. Partisan bullshit, designed to help and aid the worthless bastard commies of the Left. A pox on all of 'em. Gah. I can't even read about or listen to a Leftist shithead these days without my blood pressure spiking. They are either power-hungry liars, of they're so damn stupid and gullible that they need to be taken out of the gene pool.

Crap

This ain't good at all. And Pakistan just took another step towards anarchy.

I did nothing yesterday

And I mean nothing. I didn't leave the house. I vegetated. And you know what? It felt good. It was the first day I had to myself in a looooooooooong time.

So I apologize for not posting anything, but I barely looked at the internet yesterday. All I wanted to do was curl up on the couch and relax. So I did.

Merry Christmas

I hope anyone reading this blog today is going to shortly be disconnecting from the internet and spending time with family or friends. The Ragin' Mrs. and I will be spending time together and relaxing today. We went over to a friend's house yesterday and had a flat-out awesome dinner.

The Heartless Libertarian emailed me a story about Southwest Airlines that I'd like to pass along today (link goes to his blog post about it). Good things do happen.

So I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Music

This is going to be a long, rambling post, which probably won't make sense at all. Just so you're warned. I'm not exactly all that coherent right now, and my mind is wandering like a horse escaped from a barn. A horse with ADD. So read on at your own risk.

Ever had someone ask you what sense you'd rather lose over all others? You know, "What would you rather live without - sight, hearing, smell, ect., ect,. ect" For some reason I always had people ask me that as a kid. Maybe I just had some really messed up people around me as I grew up. That could explain quite a bit. But even as a young kid, I always picked anything other than my hearing. I need my hearing. Not for my job, or for my family, but for music. Without music, I would probably end up dead within a year. I'd off myself, most likely. Music is my drug of choice, and it can affect me like nothing else with the exception of my wife. Right now I'm listening to KT Tunstall. When I first heard her songs (and I'm sure you've heard at least one of them on the radio) I thought "Hey, catchy tune" The music was good, but it was nothing that made me jump up and buy the CD.

Then I saw a video of her live, singing "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" solo. It was just her, a guitar, a tambourine and a repeater that she used with great effect. And it sounded just as good, if not BETTER, than the radio version. That's what got me hooked.

In the day and age of Britney Spears, Lindsey whatshername, and countless other pop "artists" who's success can be chalked up to someone else's writing and a really good computer program, seeing someone get up there by themselves and sing their hearts out makes me want to jump for joy.

I've probably written about this before but what the hell here I go again. I honestly believe that music has degraded over the years. Before I bought the KT Tunstall CD I hasn't bought a "new" CD in years. By new, I mean that the CD is from a modern band. I've bought some Bach, Yo Yo Mah, and music that while performed in modern times was written several hundred years ago. The fact that I got so damn excited over a woman PERFORMING HER OWN SONGS ON HER OWN without a synthesizer or some other computer program making her sound good made me reflect on that. I've often said that modern music is crap. I'm going to have to revise that statement, because on it's own it's not true. So the modified statement is this: Modern music, as foisted upon America by the music industry, is almost all crap. Via Instapundit comes this statement from David Byrne:

What is called the music business today, however, is not the business of producing music. At some point it became the business of selling CDs in plastic cases, and that business will soon be over. But that's not bad news for music, and it's certainly not bad news for musicians. Indeed, with all the ways to reach an audience, there have never been more opportunities for artists.
And a truer statement has yet to be written. So many music artists aren't musicians at all; they're people who have been picked to fit a certain look, given music that someone else has written, told how to sing it, told how to dance, and had everything run through a computer to make sure it sounds good. Think of all the "bands" that have come and gone over the years. The Backstreet Boys. 98 Degrees. N'Synch. Britney Spears. Christina Aguilera was in danger of falling into that group, before someone told her that naughty sounding bubblegum pop was a loosing proposition. The One-Hit Wonders of the 80's, who after expending the whole of their creativity on one song faded into obscurity where they quite honestly belonged.

And don't get me started on rap. I can't stand it. Hate it. Rap is a combination of banality and a total lack of musical talent. But there's something worse that I've been exposed to down here in Puerto Rico. Reggeton. For those who don't know what reggeton is, count your blessings. Take all the worst aspects of rap, and take away what little skill is needed for even that, and you have reggeton. I swear to you, every computerized beat is exactly the same. It never changes from song to song, from "artist" to "artist". It's like they made a beat on a Casio keyboard and then just passed that keyboard around in the studio. It is mind-numbingly alike, and it's all over this island. I can't stand it. As someone who loves actual music, being subjected to reggeton is like having hot pokers jammed into my ears.

But this post is about music I enjoy, isn't it? So let me continue on that path. If I had to pick one season who's music I could listen to for years on end, it would be Christmas. And while modern Christmas music often falls into the "modern" side of the scale instead of the "Christmas" side, you have centuries of music to listen to.

Yes. Centuries. All you have to do is look in any Catholic missal.

Oh Come All Ye Faithfull (or it's proper name, "Adeste Fideles") written in the 1800's.
Joy To The World, music written by G.F. Handel, early 1700's.
Lo, How a Rose ere Blooming (original German - Es ist ein Ros entsprungen) 1599.

You can find more, but these songs were written by true musical composers. What's more, they were meant to be sung by ordinary people. It's a sad fact that most people today cannot carry a tune in a bucket, much less harmonize or sing a descant to any of the above listed songs. But at least at Christmas, people try. I've found that by and large it's not a matter of musical talent or the lack thereof, it's that people aren't taught to sing music anymore. In all the hustle and bustle of daily life, people have forgotten what makes life worth living, until they turn to me when I sing at church and go "Gosh, you're good!" No, no I'm not. My vocal abilities are modest at best, but I had several years of being taught how to sing from my high school, from my parents, and from people I admired for their vocal talents. I have had the great fortune to be around musicians when I was growing up, and while I might not be able to do what they can do, I can at least appreciate it.

In any case, during the Christmas season I'm in heaven musically speaking. And while being down here dampens a bit of my Christmas spirit, I still have my music to listen to and remind me that things will get better. We won't be able to do four part harmony in church this year, but two part is within our grasp. Real music, performed live. Hell, it's half the reason I'm in the choir be begin with.

Any post I put up tomorrow will be short, so if folks choose to do the smart thing and turn off your computer in order to be with their family, let me wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I'll be spending it with my wife, curled up on the couch, dreaming of a roaring fireplace and snow on the ground.

Slightly deviant Christmas photos

One of our commenters, Frankly Opinionated, has sent me a picture of a snow angel to remind me of home. I debated with myself about putting it on the blog, until I remembered that most people have seen much worse on network TV.

So, from F.O., here's a snow angel to make you think of the holidays!

Merry Christmas!

More "Support" from the Left

The Daily Kos is now equating US Soldiers to Hamas Suicide Bombers. Isn't that sweet? Isn't that nice? Just in time for Christmas!

Degenerate fucking twats. If you want to see why this country has the problems it has, just take a good look at the Daily Kos.

The Rot of a Leftist Mind

Kevin Baker has up a post that absolutely destroys a movie that's come out recently - "Why We Fight". The movie is (to simplify it extremely) an anti-war propaganda piece that plays fast and loose with the facts, and Mr. Baker counters it point by point. It's a long post, and quite worth the read.

But I'm not here to critique Mr. Baker's post. No, I'm blogging on this because of one of his commenters, Markadelphia. Reading Markadelphia's comments is a look into the derangement that is Liberalism, one small bit at a time. What really made me just shake my head this last time is after being accosted with truth and facts, he pops off with:

Reality is what you make it, Kevin. There are many people in the world who want peace. Someday they may succeed. What if it happens? As long as people believe that war is inevitable, it will be. Ever read On War by Clausewitz?

Reality is what you make of it, says Markadelphia the deranged Leftist. And there lies a huge part of the problem with Leftism. It's in La-La land. It doesn't have any basis in reality, because to a Leftist reality isn't solid. Reality is what you make of it.

What a bunch of absolute horseshit. Reality is NOT what you make of it. Reality simply IS. Maybe in Markadelphia's little make believe world where little bunnies hop and snuggle up with cute fuzzy wolf puppies and everyone is buddies, and nobody ever does anything wrong or mean, and everything bad is because the USA is a big mean nasty bully, reality doesn't have any basis in factual events. But in the REAL world, where actions and reactions are based on REAL events, with REAL consequences, reality is more than something that you can just say "Oh, it is what you make of it."

You do not MAKE reality. You deal with it. You cannot change it. Truth and facts are not subject to anyone's whims or desires.

But when you start to think that reality "is what you make of it", then you start to believe that you can change it. All the sudden, reality doesn't really matter, because you can just wave your hand and make it something else.

Maybe that's how they think that high taxes are good for the economy, when reality shows the opposite. Maybe that's how they think that socialized medicine is better than a privatized system, when reality shows the opposite. Maybe that's why they think gun control lowers crime, when reality shows the opposite. maybe that's why they think that government control over more and more of a citizen's life is a good thing, when reality shows the opposite.

Reality doesn't matter to them, because it is what you make of it.

Oh, and Markadelphia is a big fan of Micheal Moore as well. No big surprise there, eh?

Christmas Greetings from Achmed the Dead Terrorist

Jeff Dunham and his friend Achmed perform a very special rendition (get it?) of the time-honored Christmas classic, “Jingle Bombs.”

Classy. They could have gone the Huckabee route here and turned it into a political opportunity by having Fred appear in it. The fact that they didn’t speaks well of him.

Can't remember where I saw it

But a quote which stuck in my head today was "If life doesn't get in the way of blogging every once in a while, maybe you should try blogging less and living more." Well, I haven't had much time for blogging at all lately, in case you haven't noticed. Today is MY day. Breathing space. I've purchased the major Christmas stuff, but I need to go out and get stocking stuffers. And then there's church. Since I'm choir director, I have to be at the chapel every time the choir is needed. We have a Nativity pageant tonight, Sunday Mass tomorrow, Midnight Mass for Christmas Monday night and Christmas Mass on Tuesday. By Wednesday I'm going to be wiped out and ready for another vacation.

I don't know if many people who attend Mass know the sheer amount of effort it takes to make everything run smoothly. From the choir, to the Eucharistic ministers, to all the other volunteers who work in the background, it takes a lot of people so that everyone can come in and have mass. A LOT of people. And it's hard work. Once I leave Puerto Rico, I'm not going to be a choir director for a good long while, because honestly I just want to be able to enjoy mass for the first time in a long time instead of having some responsibility to attend to. Add in much of the other volunteer work I do for the chapel, and I haven't been able to sit in the pews for about two years now. I've always been doing something during mass.

But I'll tell you this: I have a much better understanding of what a priest goes through on a daily basis. It's an eye opener. If the military actually paid their Catholic chaplains what they were worth, i.e. the true value that they bring, they would get paid more than any general. And I'm blessed to have a darn good priest.

Anyways, I'm off to hit the showers and then find some stocking stuffers for the Ragin' Mrs. I'll see you all tomorrow.

More Hollywood propaganda...

Charlie's movie
It couldn't have been Reagan that won the Cold War... it must have been a sophmoric partying Senator, "Good Time Charlie"... and:
...the movie promotes the left-wing myth that the CIA-led operation funded Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda and ultimately produced the attacks of September 11, 2001...

That anti-American aspect of the film, namely that the Afghan operation ultimately caused the September 11 attacks, reportedly was altered after protests from Mr. Wilson and his former fiancee, Joanne Herring....

"Senior people in the Reagan administration, the president, [CIA Director] Bill Casey, [Defense Secretary Caspar] Weinberger and their aides deserve credit for the successful Afghan covert action program, not just Charlie Wilson," -- Fred Ikle, the undersecretary of defense in the Reagan administration...

Bin Laden, the officials said, never got CIA funding or weapons, and was not directly involved in Islamist extremist activities until years after the Afghan operation ended after the withdrawal of Soviet troops in 1989.
I knew it the second I saw the first TV ad... Just ask yourself what kind of movie Alan Sorkin of TV's propaganda series 'West Wing' would make... because he did. This one.

21 December 2012, End of the World

Note your Calendars...
According to the writings of Michel de Nostredame (better known as Nostradamus), the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012 (no specific hour or minute is given)...

The ancient Mayan calendar, perfected long before the French physician and astrologer began writing his now famous quatrains, ends abruptly on the same date...

According to astronomers, Dec. 21, 2012, is the day when our sun moves to the exact center of our galaxy, the Milky Way.
And you were worried about Global Warming...

Stupid, stupid, stupid

I haven't been big on Mike Huckabee. No big deal. I think that Fred D. Thompson should be our nominee. But this shows that Huckabee just isn't fit to be President at all. In fact, I think it's emblematic of the problem the GOP has as a whole; they've lost touch with their base, and when the base tries to get them to listen, they insult the very people who support them.

To wit, the closest thing Rush Limbaugh has said in favor of any candidate was some favorable comments towards Fred Thompson. He has effectively been neutral, which is a hard thing to do in this election. And yet Huckabee's campaign felt the need to attack Rush Limbaugh? Stupid. Unbelievably stupid. Just flat out idiotic. It would be like Hillary Clinton launching an attack on Kos, or Glenn(s) Greenwald. You don't attack the people who are on your side, period. Debate them, argue with them, try to sway them to your point of view, fine. But what the Huckabee campaign has done shows that they're simply not able to deal with the Presidency.

It might just sink him in one fell swoop.

Hillary(D) lies about supporting the troops... again...

On top of lies about troop readiness, body-armor, funding... the most predictable of lies... "Healthcare". Here is HotAir:
Video: Did the National Guard have health insurance before Hillary?
She’s a shameless liar, of course.
FactCheck confirms Hillary(D) is
Exaggerating Help for Troops
Clinton falsely claims guardsmen and reservists didn't have health insurance before she went to work.
She has to lie because, in spite of the (D)emocrat majority in both Houses of Congress, Hillary(D) and Obama(D) have Zero, Nada, Zip legislation to their credit.

Isn't it amazing the (D)emocrats, who followed up a loon like Al Gore(D), with a bombastic dishonorably discharged traitor like John Kerry(D), are now offering up a trio of Senators whose qualifications are in turn, "Nice Hair even if he can't get reelected", "Almost Black" and "My Husband was President so I can be too"...

Appearances

So by now most people have seen the picture of Hillary Clinton looking rather ragged. For those who have somehow missed it, Kim du Toit has a picture up. As for me, my only thought when I first saw the photo was:

Finally, the outside begins to resemble the inside.

More insults from the Left

"Sure, there's less violence, but that's because we've ethnically cleansed most of Baghdad." Jim Moran, D-Virginia

Remember folks, when the Democrat American Communist Party mouths platitudes to the troops, THAT is when they're lying. It's when they think no one is listening that they tell the truth about how they feel about the military.

How NOT to be a parent

I certainly haven't been kind when it comes to mocking Britney Spears, and I admit that. Sometimes the easy shots are the first ones you take. But dammit, I'm actually starting to feel sorry for her right now, especially with this news coming out about her sister being pregnant. Her sister is SIXTEEN YEARS OLD, and had a NINETEEN YEAR OLD LIVE IN BOYFRIEND.

Uh.... what? Just who the hell decided that this was a good idea? "Why yes, it's perfectly OK for your raging-hormone-filled boyfriend to sleep in bed with you! I'm sure that nothing will happen! What? You're pregnant? Gosh, what a surprise! Who woulda thunk it?"

Here's my take: The Spears' mother needs to be taken out back and horse-whipped until she obtains ambient air temperature. If you want to know why Britney and her sister are so screwed up, all you have to do is look at the parents. Or parent, in this case. Britney was turned into a sex object at what... fifteen or sixteen? And her parents got rich. Oh, Britney got rich too, but where do you think her money went to? A mutual fund? IRA? Low-risk investments? Hell no, the parents got it. They turned their daughter into a highly-paid stripper so that they could fill their bank account, and they did it when she was young. How many of you would allow your teenage daughter to cavort around in panties and bra in front of thousands of people? "Yeah, open your legs wider darling! And make sure they can see your boobs, just not the nipples. Here, grind against this pole while you stroke some guy's leg! Yeah, that's hot! We'll be rich!"

And then you wonder why Britney turned into a drug-smoking alcoholic who can't take care of her kids? She's only doing what she learned to do from HER mother. And little sis is only following in Britney's footsteps. Most younger siblings I know of wanted to be like their older brother or sister at some point, so it should be no surprise that little sis copied Britney's behaviors. She's only doing what SHE has been taught to do.

I honestly never want to hear about any member of the Spears family ever again. They're up there on a list with Paris Hilton as people I don't want to know about, hear about, or see ever again in my life. But despite all of my mocking, I just want to drive home the point that if Britney and her sister actually had a real mother, rather than an egg-donor who calls herself a mother, I probably wouldn't have a chance to mock them at all. I wouldn't feel the need.

I hate Puerto Rico

I truly do. I can't wait to leave. And I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to stop and breathe.

So here's a picture of me on an island far, far away from the current hellhole that I reside in.

Yeah, the picture is a little.... erm...... old. I was a cute kid though, wasn't I? I always wondered what the hell happened to me when I grew up.

And completely different from the previous post

Merry Christmas!

FARGO, N.D. — A bank is giving its full-time employees $1,000 each and part-time employees $500 each. There's one condition — use it for people in need.

State Bank & Trust Chief Operating Officer Michael Solberg said each full-time employee will receive $1,000 and each part-time employee will receive $500, as part of a $502,000 "Pay it Forward" initiative.

"We're going to really see some huge impact on our community," Solberg said.
Employees were told not to use the money for themselves, their families or families of other bank employees. The bank asked each employee to document the good deed with a video camera. The deadline is June 30.

The employees were told they may choose an individual cause, pool their money for a larger project or collaborate with donors outside the bank. The privately owned bank has more than 500 employees, he said.

I'll bet anyone my entire paycheck that the money being put out by this bank will be better used and more appreciated than any government-funded giveaway.

Just plain stupid

This sort of pants-wetting hysterics is just rediculous.

A 10-year-old Florida girl faces felony weapons charges after bringing a small steak knife to school to cut up her lunch, according to a report on WFTV.com.

School officials say the Ocala 5th grader had brought a piece of steak for her lunch, and had brought a steak knife. According to the report, a couple of teachers took the utensil and called authorities, who arrested the girl and took her to the county’s juvenile assessment center.

Arrested? For a frigging STEAK knife? That she was using to cut STEAK with?

"She did not use it inappropriately. She did not threaten anyone with it. She didn't pull it out and brandish it. Nothing of that nature," explained Marion County School Spokesman Kevin Christian, who added that it made no difference what the knife was being used for, they had no choice but to call police.

Translation: EEEEK! EEEEEEK! IT'S A SHARP POKEY THING! RUN AWAY! EEEEEEEEK! And the pussification of America continues.....

You can chalk this up as yet another reason why public schools are failing shitholes, cesspools of mediocrity at best, and festering pits of despair all too often. Maybe if they would expell the bullies, the drug pushers and the thugs, they wouldn't have to worry about a ten year old girl using a knife TO CUT A STEAK.

if it's only a little broke, don't f*** it up worse

I had a thought the other day. The Raging_Dave knows where this comes from. Here it is...

Being in Puerto Rico, it has become painfully obvious how much we depend on our health care in the USA. The Raging_Dave will attest to the fact that we live are lives based on the fact that we *DO NOT WANT TO END UP IN AN E-ROOM DOWN HERE!!!!!!* The reality is that the medical here is unsanitary witchdoctory at best. I would assume it is about on par with most countries that have socialized medicine. We know, in the USA, that if we do something stupid and nearly end our own lives, we will be airlifted to the closest trauma unit, and unlike Humpty Dumpty, be put back together again. Unfortunately this has three probable negative effects:
1) Darwinism has not been allowed to work. This means that stupid people that *should have* died, did not.
2) The only thing, that these same said stupid people, learned was that they are immortal and there are no consequences for their actions, especially since they will probably opt not to pay, or go bankrupt on their multi-million dollar hospital bill.
3) If John Joe is not put back into OEM, he will more than likely sue and win a multi-million dollar settlement for pain and suffering, after all real damages!

Unfortunately the end result are people who have no concept of reality, more than likely a complete disconnect from their actions having any consequence, except that they get rewarded for their stupidity.

I wish I believed their was a way to educate these people. Unfortunately it is human nature to focus on what we want to. I believe that if forced to live with the consequences of their actions they will fall into a state of denial rather than understanding the gravity of the situation.

I have been a long time believer that medical advances are disrupting nature taking her course. But, as much as this pains me to say, peoples own greed is rapidly taking our medical advances away from us. Through our legal system; malpractice suits, valid or not, having multi million dollar judgments for pain and suffering, our medical practitioners are being taken from us because they can no longer afford the malpractice insurance. Malpractice insurance is not rated by how many times a particular practitioner has been sued, it is by the number of times practitioners of that field are sued. Whether the suits are successful or not, does not matter. The insurance company still had to pay for the lawyer(s). A few years ago you would have been hard pressed to find an OBGYN in Nevada due to these suits. There are many ideas of how to fix this problem. On site I ran across suggested"Improving health care quality and lowering costs by fixing our medical liability system". This is a current trend that many states are moving toward. Despite this recognition of a problem and necessary solution, some states such as California refuse to vote limits of liability into law. If this continues, their already strained(by illegal immigrants) medical system will be crippled until it is reformed.

Gotta love them ethics!

Seems that the Democrat American Communist Party still hasn't learned their lesson.

After an initial review of the legislation, several wasteful and unnecessary provisions have already been identified:

• Earmarks: Instead of reducing the number of pork projects in the federal budget, the bill drives the number of earmarks up from last year. The bill contains over 8,000 earmarks, bringing the total for 2008 up to over 10,000 earmarks compared to just 2,658 in 2007.

• Spending Gimmicks: Instead of cutting wasteful spending out of the bill to bring its cost down to the President’s level, the bill uses budget tricks and gimmicks to hide at least $14 billion in extra domestic spending.

• Policy Riders: Instead of limiting the package to spending needed to fund government operations, the bill includes unrelated policy items. Many of these riders are backed by special interests, such as organized labor, and could not win passage
on their own.

Fourteen Billion Dollars of extra domestic spending? FOURTEEN BILLION DOLLARS?

Let's do some basic math, shall we? The cost for an up-armored humvee is approximately 140,000. Fourteen BILLION dollars would buy 100,000 up-armored humvees.

The US Armed Forces currently has a little over 1,400,000 active duty servicemembers. Fourteen BILLION dollars would give each and every active duty servicemember a $10,000 raise.

Fourteen billions dollars would be enough to exchange the crappy M-16 rifle for a weapon that will actually function in the desert. FOR ALL THE SERVICES.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Keep that in mind the next time you head to the voting booth.

Mark Penn... Roofies for Hillary(D)

Yes... Mrs. Bill Clinton(D)'s campaign manager, Mark Penn, runs the PR company for Aquadots, the company that exposed a date rape drug to millions of children. But... you haven't heard about that in spite of Bill Clinton(D)'s historical legacy of philandering and predatory behavior.

And you thought only CliNtoN was in the tank for Hillary?

Darker still... Mark Penn, who is Clinton's chief strategist and pollster, knew about and approved of monitoring, which a high profile lawsuit says violates federal wiretapping laws.

Yet Darker still... repeatedly indicted international Billionaire-criminal George Soros' Media smear group 'CREW' lists its three founding directors as Louis Mayberg, Mark Penn and Daniel Berger.

But the Darkest element of Mark Penn's close relationship with Hillary is his past relationship with the Clinton WhiteHouse as an international influence peddler. Clinton WhiteHouse insider Dick Morris details that in Clinton's Conflict of Interest:
“Running a presidential campaign is good for business.” -- Mark Penn, Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist and the Worldwide CEO of international public relations/ lobbying firm Burson-Marsteller

...During Bill Clinton’s second term, while Penn was the president’s chief political strategist — with unfettered access to the President and First Lady, his polling firm, Penn & Schoen, contracted to lobby the Clinton administration on behalf of a bank operated by several Central American countries — for a half million dollar fee.
...Burson-Marsteller ultimately bought Penn & Schoen and Penn became its head honcho.
...The firm’s publicly known clients are a veritable Who’s Who of corporations in crisis, as well as companies and foreign governments looking for favors from Congress and the White House.
...Blackwater’s CEO, Eric Prince, hired Burson’s lobbying subsidiary, BKSH, to prep him for his Congressional testimony...
...Countrywide Financial, the beleaguered sub-prime mortgage lender that is desperately trying to save the company and clean up its image.
...Microsoft — trying to stop the Google/Doubleclick merger.
...Armenia, (trying to pass a Congressional resolution accusing Turkey of genocide)
...The Peoples Party of Pakistan (working to bring Bhalizar Bhutto back to power in Pakistan).
...When Rove became Bush’s chief strategist, he sold his consulting business. Penn refuses to even take a leave of absence. Although he claims to have no involvement in the firm’s day-to-day business, published internal e-mails suggest otherwise. And, Penn demonstrated his blatant lack of sensitivity to conflict of interest issues during the last Clinton administration.

In October 1998, while Penn was the White House chief political strategist, he registered his polling firm, Penn & Schoen, as an agent for the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, operated, and controlled by Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua with Mexico, Taiwan, Argentina, and Colombia as additional shareholders.

In plain English, a number of foreign governments, seeking to persuade the President of the United States to adopt legislation in their economic interest, paid the president’s trusted adviser to make their case in the White House.
...what is it that did Penn inside the White House — for half a million dollars — to advance the foreign bank’s agenda?
...Last year, Burson-Marsteller’s parent company, WPP, raked in more than $53 million in fees from its various U.S. lobbying affiliates.
...Burson-Marsteller is a major player in the world of corporate and political spinning, with offices all over the globe. A short list of clients are as followed: Phillip Morris, Occidental Petroleum, Bristol-Meyers, Entergy (nuclear power), Lockheed Martin, Texaco, AT&T, Allergen (makers of Botox), Greece, Taiwan, Cyprus, Virginia Tech, Doha16. Qatar (to try to get the 2016 Olympics there), Comcast, Sony Ericcson, Ikea, the National Fisheries Institute, Visa International and many, many others.

In the past, the company has also represented the Chinese National Offshore Oil Co (CNOOC) (Burson operates over one hundred offices — including four separate offices in China), the Russian Government Press Office, Haiti, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Chalabi, the disgraced president of the Iraqi National Congress who pushed for the overthrow of Saddam. But most of the firm’s clients remain secret: Unless direct lobbying is involved, there is no disclosure requirement.

Of why the Press is worthless. SIX BOGUS STORIES OUT OF IRAQ. SIX. BOGUS. FAKE. MADE UP. FABRICATED. "NEWS" REPORTS. OUT. OF. IRAQ.

Oh sure, the "objective" press. The "fact checkers", right? Those layers and layers of editors and researchers who are supposed to make sure the truth gets out, right?

Horseshit. What crap. What utter bullshit. They're whores. Propaganda artists. Nothing more than paid advertisers for the Left.

I'm loving this quote

That I found via BabyTrollBlog.

"I’m sorry, but not since Professor Peter Singer explained that we should give as good as we get from dogs who hump our legs, have I been so exasperated with the way so many Leftists think they can use their head for a colonoscopy and then crab-walk across the blogosphere expecting all the world to think their new hats make them look smart."
The whole thing is worth reading. Short, sweet and to the point.

Right Conclusion, Wrong Reasons

Saw this little bit over via BabyTrollBlog, and just had to toss my two cents into the pot.

For six years, Central Intelligence Agency officers have worried that someday the tide of post-Sept. 11 opinion would turn, and their harsh treatment of prisoners from Al Qaeda would be subjected to hostile scrutiny and possible criminal prosecution.

Now that day may have arrived, after years of shifting legal advice, searing criticism from rights groups — and no new terrorist attacks on American soil.

People are not losing faith in the CIA because of waterboarding, they're losing faith in the CIA due to all the political shennanigans the CIA has been involved in. Leaking info, leaking secret orders, the whole Valerie Plame kerfuffle, George Tenet claiming that WMD's in Iraq would be a "slam dunk", everything. If the CIA stuck to it's mission of collecting intelligence and stop playing political hijinks, I'm pretty sure that nobody would have a problem with them.

Nobody is upset because they're doing their jobs. We're pissed off with all the extemporaneous crap they've been doing!

Father HONORS Son's Wish

I read the following article, and was reminded that patriotism still exists. I find this a beautiful ending to a life tragically short. This came from the 3 December 2007 Army Times. Please pardon the length, as I do not believe most people without military installation have access to this source.

"A pair of flags has helped the father of a Texas soldier killed in Iraq fulfill his son's final wish.
Pfc. Nathan Given was killed 27 December 2006, when a roadside bomb detonated while he was patrolling Baghdad.
Weeks before he died, Given had called his father, Scott Given, and told him avout an idea he had to raise money for the Shriners Burn Hospital by auctioning off an American flag flown in Iraq. Scott Given was reminded about his son's final wish after reaching out by e-mail to some of the soldiers Nathan Given fought alongside in Iraq with the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
The solodiers sent two flags that had flown over a patrol base near Jumbalatiyah, Iraq. A flag auctioned 17 Nov raised $4000.oo. After purchasing the flag, the unknown buyer then gave it back to Scott Given, who said the generosity made him "cry like a baby." The other flag raised $20000.oo in another auction.
"It's the last thing I can do for him," Scott Given said. "I wanted to honor his wishes.""

Patty 'Osama-Mama' Murray(D) smears the troops

Gateway Pundit catches her in the lie
because 'Fewer Soldiers Commit Suicide During Bush Years':
Senator Murray knows better.

A report released to Congress in July of this year showed that military suicides are much lower during the Bush years than the Clinton years.
...
What do you suppose drove our soldiers to commit suicide when the Clintons were in office?
The suicide rate for servicemen is lower then the same age group in the general population.

As Gateway pundit noted, Flopping Aces has
caught the (D)efeaticrats in the same lie
recently:
This is a perfect example of an article written with no real facts, just innuendo. Other then speaking to one young soldier, reading one entry in a soldiers blog, and checking the walls of a latrine, this writer at the Democrats Times of Los Angeles, Tina Susman, comes to the conclusion that the morale of our soldiers in Iraq is dipping.
...
This is reporting at the LA Times?

Bandwidth Blowout

So, I was at a Battalion meeting today. My new Battalion's HQ is at Roosevelt Roads, the Navy Base that was shut down. Well, mostly shut down. There's reserve units stationed there, a small Navy contingent, ect. On the way from the meeting I took a few photos with the new camera.

I'm loving it. So I thought I'd post a few so you can see what kind of pictures I'm getting. But since they're such high quality, they are over 3MB each. I apologize to anyone using dial-up for the amount of time it's taking to load.

If anyone wants to download them, be my guest. Roosevelt Roads is going to be completely shut down sometime in the future, so these may be the last photos I ever get from there.

Some folks just need killin'

Shorty McFatroll up there decided that getting called out for being a lying douchbag deserved a special response. So he insulted a Mike Hendrix's wife, who died this year. Details here. More here and there's a poster contest going on here.

Anyways, after Fatass the Douchnozzle got caught with his pants down, he refused to apologize. And now his blog is gone. He "accidentally" deleted it. Uh huh. He's too much of a gutless pussy, a cowardly sack of shit, to either apologize to Mr. Hendrix or even simply say he was wrong.

You know what? Some people are just toxic. They do nothing to improve the world, they only destroy and poison everything around them. Chuck Adkins is one of those people. He does nothing of value, produces nothing of value and has no inherent qualities of value. His whole existence is dedicated to ruining the world around him via the internet. He's a pathetic excuse for a human being, and in fact shouldn't even be allowed to claim such status. He's a parasite, sucking off of everyone around him for survival.

Of course he's a Democrat. Did you even have to ask?

I'm in the BIGS, baby!

I got linked by R.L. Schlong! Heh. Tried to leave a comment, but since I'm in Puerto Rico, blogger wants me to read Spanish. Sorry, but at this time I refuse to speak, think, or type in Spanish. It's not that I don't know how, it's that I actually refuse to do so. So instead, I'm going to post a puzzle from a link I found at Schlong's place. Puzzle removed. I didn't like the logo it put up on the blog. Sorry.

What a disgrace

Can we just take the entire Kennedy clan and bury them somewhere? The entire family is an embarassment to America.

Once in a while, some lefty will send me an email purporting to demonstrate some connection between President Bush and the Nazis via his grandfather. It’s tenuous stuff, but there’s a segment on the conspiracist left and probably right that buys into it and thinks it should somehow convince people that Bush’s policies and especially the war in the here and now are driven by what his grandfather did or didn’t do several decades ago.

Meanwhile, in the here and now, we have Joe Kennedy, a member of America’s other dynastic political family, sucking up to a tyrannical thug who is openly hostile to the US. This thug has declared multiple times that he hates the US and our "imperialism” and at the last OPEC meeting said that he wanted to spark an oil war against us. This thug menaces our democratic allies in his neighborhood and builds alliances with the mullahs in Tehran among other bad actors on the world stage. In sucking up to him, Kennedy and his ilk are doing everything that the conspiracists accuse Bush’s grandfather of having done. And it’s going on right now, in front of our eyes. Yet I never hear criticism on this from any conspiracist, or indeed, just about anyone on the left. Ever.

Part of? Try ALL OF.

Part of the scientific consensus on global warming may be flawed, a new study asserts.

The researchers compared predictions of 22 widely used climate "models" — elaborate schematics that try to forecast how the global weather system will behave — with actual readings gathered by surface stations, weather balloons and orbiting satellites over the past three decades.

The study, published online this week in the International Journal of Climatology, found that while most of the models predicted that the middle and upper parts of the troposphere —1 to 6 miles above the Earth's surface — would have warmed drastically over the past 30 years, actual observations showed only a little warming, especially over tropical regions.

The climate, like much of damn near everything on this planet, has cycles that it goes through. Warm, cool, warm, cool, warm, cool. The evidence to prove this can be found in any true scientific journal. Greenland was named such because when Eric the Red found it, it was GREEN, not the ice-covered lump of rock that it is today. At one point, there was a massive lake over the northern states like Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas. The water was held in by a massive ice dam in what is now the Bitteroot Mountains. Why isn't that ice damn in existance today? Gosh, because the planet got warmer? Without SUV's and airplanes? What a friggin' concept!

"The usual discussion is whether the climate model forecasts of Earth's climate 100 years or so into the future are realistic," said the lead author, Dr. David H. Douglass from the University of Rochester. "Here we have something more fundamental: Can the models accurately explain the climate from the recent past? "It seems that the answer is no."

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN ACTUAL SCIENCE! Let's say you have a system or theory that you want to test. How can you test this system or theory to prove that it's accurate? Here's an option - take a set of data for which you already have a result, and run it through the system. Let's say you already know that a + b = c. If you test the system or theory, you run your data through it, and instead of a + b = c, you get a + b = moonbeams out your ass, it's a damn good indicator that the system or theory has quite a few problems.

Manmade Global Warming is horsecrap. If the Earth is warming up, it's because of natural cycles. Or perhaps it might be that GIGANTIC FUCKING THERMONUCLEAR EXPLODING THINGY IN THE CENTER OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM! But those people screaming about how we're going to all DIE if we don't stop using oil RIGHT NOW are full of crap.

I refuse to link....

....to a press release about Paris Hilton posing nude for a chapagne advertisment.

Stop it. Just stop it. I can't stand that woman. I'm tired of hearing about a dumb, moronic, drug-using, bottle-blonde bimbo socialite who's only claim to fame is that she has a rich daddy. I'm tired of hearing about a joint-smoking skank who's been stuffed more than a Thanksgiving turkey by everyone in Hollywood, up to and probably including Pablo the lawn-mower. Can anybody name ONE worthwhile thing she's ever done in her whole entire life?

I don't want to see her. I don't want to hear her speak. I don't want to hear anything about her. For the love of god and humanity, PLEASE STOP IT!

Ranting once again

I might have mentioned it before, but there's been this flap over pictures of Jennifer Love Hewitt in a bikini. And people have been calling her "fat".

Oh please.

I'm sorry, but that's not a fat woman. At most, that's an unflattering swimsuit. But fat?

Anyone who thinks that Ms. Hewitt there should be considered "fat" is an over-metrosexualized, brainwashed, corncob-up-the-ass nitwit who has spent too much time around modern so-called "fashion", where women are made to look like a designer's object of affection - which is to say that they want their women to look like pre-pubecent boys. Or a strung-out clothesrack look-alike. But here is the chatterati all atwitter because Jennifer Love Hewitt refused to become an anorexic twig. There's a label for the way modern so-called "fashion" models look these days: Heroin Chic. Because that's how they look - like a strung out heroin junkie who hasn't eaten in months. I don't care how many worthless idiots try to tell me that the crack-whore drug addict look is supposed to be sexy. IT IS NOT. Were I single, I would take Ms. Hewitt over any of the skeletal ghouls prancing down a "fashion" walkway. Jennifer Love Hewitt looks as if one could enjoy seafood and a glass of wine with her at night. Modern so-called "fashion" models look like the meth-heads who came into the Addiction Recovery Center at my last job; skinny, strung out and mentally vacant. Jennifer Love Hewitt looks like a healthy, normal person. Modern so-called "fashion" models look like starvation victims from a third-world country.

So, just on the chance that Ms. Hewitt or one of her supporters might read this, here's my advice. Extend your middle finger to all those useless pricks who hurl names at you. Real men want their women to have curves like yours. They don't want some concentration-camp pinup girl.

Now, onto the real world.

This reminder was brought to you by Right Wing News.

Lucky Bastards

Frank J and Sarah K just moved to Idaho. Boise. A little south of where I want to live, but still my home state.

I'm stuck on a shitty little rock currently getting pounded by a tropical storm. Crap.

Worth Noting

That Hillary Clinton, when faced with the truth, will lie to anyone about anything.

Found at Malkin's Place.

Yeah, I know my posts are a bit short today. Sorry.

Sick in the head

The shooter at a church last Sunday wanted to kill as many Christians as possible.

"I'm coming for EVERYONE soon and I WILL be armed to the @#%$ teeth and I WILL shoot to kill. ...God, I can't wait till I can kill you people. Feel no remorse, no sense of shame, I don't care if I live or die in the shoot-out. All I want to do is kill and injure as many of you ... as I can especially Christians who are to blame for most of the problems in the world."

Sounds to me like he was a registered Democrat. At least, that's the impression that his ranting gives.

Yeah, I'm going to hell. Why do you ask?

Yep

We're getting hammered. My yard is under water.

Pali-Arab sympathizer on HLF Jury...

Catch the comments at LGF about how the Investigative Project on Terrorism turned up a Pali-sympathizer on the Jury:
“If you’re going by the evidence in this room,” she recalls him snapping, “then you need to go home.”
...juror William Neal’s stridency may have changed the trial’s outcome. Neal even claimed credit for steering jurors away from convictions in a recent radio interview. Until now, he has been the sole source for public perception of the deliberations and the government’s case.
...
When a juror walked out in frustration after just four days of deliberations, it followed a confrontation with Neal. When another juror briefly refused to cast a vote, it was after a confrontation with Neal. Williams broke down several times during the 19 days jurors spent locked in debate. Each incident followed what she felt was an attack by Neal.
William Neal wasn't interested in "the evidence in this room":

The Dallas Morning News noted Neal “also had difficulty calling Hamas a terrorist group. ‘Part of it does terrorist acts, but it’s a political movement. It’s an uprising.’”
We'll be hearing more about William Neal soon...

Repeat after me

Democrats are hypocrites.

Democrats are hypocrites.

Democrats are hypocrites.

So much for all that outrage over waterboarding, eh? Just remember, the Democrat American Communist Party is for themselves first and for America second. They don't care about America. They care about getting their grubby paws onto the reins of power and nothing else. They would gleefully throw America under the bus as long as they could be in control of it afterwards.

Corrupt, worthless, spineless parasites.

CNN tries to kill Thompson

With this report.

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (CNN)Fred Thompson has made a point of visiting gun shops and gun shows while hitting the campaign trail in New Hampshire and South Carolina, usually with camera crews in tow.

But Thompson said Wednesday he does not have a hunting license, nor has be been hunting recently.

OH MY GOSH! THOMPSON DOESN'T HUNT! HE CAN'T BE A REAL CONSERVATIVE!

Give me a fucking break. I've never been hunting in my life, and I'm a staunch gun-rights supporter. Want to know why? Because the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting. It's about being able to protect yourself from criminals and tyrannical governments. Hunting is just an added bonus. Do I want to go hunting when I return to civilization? Yes. But I could go my entire life without hunting and it wouldn't make me any less of a gun guy.

All I need to know about Thompson's views on gun rights is the statement he made during a debate: "I own a couple of guns, but I'm not going to tell you what they are or where they are,"

And CNN demonstrates ONCE AGAIN that they're nothing more than propaganda-pushing whores for the Democrat American Communist Party. Clueless wankers.

Found at C&S, who's got a graphic of John F'ing Kerry that make me giggle.

But don't dare accuse them of bias.

Nope, no bias here!

Nah, no bias at ALL!

The NIE fallout

Looking around at various reactions to the release of the NIE, I've kept my mouth shut on it for a while as I digested what it said, what it didn't say, and if it can be trusted.

My opinion? Nope. That thing is as worthless as teats on a boar. It states that Iran shut down it's nuclear weapons program in 2003. Would that be the same weapons program that people were insisting didn't exist in the first place? Would that be the same nuclear weapons program that the NIE was clueless about in earlier releases?

Would that be the same weapons program, supposedly now defunct, which Iran bought 3000 uranium enriching centrifuges for earlier this year?

If American loses a city to an Iranian nuclear weapon, it will be because the so-called Intelligence community in this country has failed to do it's job for over a decade now. Not only does the NIE fly in the face of everything we've learned about Iran, but it's a direct contradiction to what earlier NIE's stated, and what Iran itself has stated.

It's horseshit, plain and simple.

UPDATE: I don't think the CIA has been working for anyone but themselves for a good, long time. They certainly haven't been helping anyone, including themselves.

December 7th, 1941

As much as I hate some of the social policies that FDR put into practice, he had to juggle a billion balls all at once when it came to what was going on in the world. Dealing with a huge segment of the population who didn't want to deal with the rest of the world didn't help much. But once we were attacked, we were in it for the long haul.

I only wish today's Democrats had one-tenth of the spine that FDR had.

So with that......

Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, Members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives:

Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.

Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in the American island of Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to our Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. And while this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or of armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to tell you that very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday, the Japanese government also launched an attack against Malaya.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night, the Japanese attacked Wake Island.

And this morning, the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense. But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe that I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph -- so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December 7th, 1941, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese empire.

Dear lord, how I wish that today's Democrats had one-tenth of his spine. As it is, we're dealing with anti-American communist bastards who wouldn't have been fit to polish FDR's shoes. How things have changed......

The War Against Christianity Continues

I can't believe this. I really, really can't believe this:

Crosses will be removed from badges worn by Spokane Police chaplains under terms of an out-of-court settlement between the city and a former Lutheran pastor-turned-atheist who sued over the government agency’s use of the insignias and Christian prayers.
So a MAN OF GOD is not allowed to wear the SYMBOL OF HIS FAITH on his uniform? Don't let this asshole get a hold of the military Chaplain's Corps!

His lawsuit claimed that the police department’s use of the Christian cross is an “impermissible incorporation of a particular religious symbol in a government insignia.”
I am so in awe of the huge, massive amount of stupidity it took to create that sentence that I'm just sitting here rather stunned. If one were to attempt to make an atheist, or a Jew, or a Muslim wear a cross, that would go against common sense, as none of those folks would be Christian or have any affiliation with the symbol of the Christian faith. But we're not talking about them. We're talking about Chaplains, the huge majority of which ARE CHRISTIAN! Regular police officers do not wear the cross on their badge. Only the chaplains. Why? Gosh, could it be because THEY ARE PASTORS AND PRIESTS AND DEACONS? WHAT A FRIGGING CONCEPT!

And I think the most telling line of the whole story is at the bottom:

Ideus was a Lutheran pastor for 30 years before he became an atheist. He and his wife, Lorraine, moved to Spokane from Kansas in 2003.

Ideus the Idiot is having a crisis of faith, or lack thereof, and wants to force his crisis on the rest of us. It truly is an assault on Christianity. Where Ideus once attempted to convert folks to religion, he's now attempting to convert folks to atheism. But now instead of trying to convince people about God, he's using the courts to enforce his lack of faith onto everyone else. I'm sorry that Ideus lost his faith. But when he tries to push is lack of faith onto everyone else, and uses the courts to do so, that pisses me off. Because Ideus has just made his lack of faith a problem for everyone else. It's the tyranny of the minority, enforced by a black robe behind a bench.

It's flat out bullshit.

Different Light

Mrs. du Toit posts about how things look different in Germany (and thank you David for pointing it out). I've been to a few places around the world, so I can understand exactly what she's saying.

We all know that the earth is tilted on it's axis, and that light hits different parts of the world at different lengths or something of that nature. But you never quite understand just what that means until you see it with your own eyes. Every picture I took in Egypt was yellowish-brown in overtones, and not just because of the sand or dust. The light there was yellow. It gave everything a yellow tint, no matter what time of day or what the background.

Down here in Puerto Rico, the light is intense. It takes any color and just makes it... more, I guess. The greens are vivid. Where the water is blue it's a sapphire blue that almost hurts your eyes. And flowers damn near jump out, grab your eyeballs and scream "LOOK AT ME! I'M RED! I'M REALLY, REALLY RED, DAMMIT!" Because of the intensity of the light, that makes the shadows even more dramatic. Here's a picture I hope will sort of explain what I mean. Here's a photo I took at San Juan Bay - notice the color of the water, and the way the sky looks behind it. I did not alter this photo in any way. Click on it for the larger version.

It looks like a photo that someone used Photoshop to alter, but that's the way things just look down here.

The photos I took in Washington and Idaho have a different kind of light, more like you would find in Europe, since they're close to the same latitude. It's softer, and well, things just look differently.

Anyways, my battery is about to run out, but I just wanted to add my two cents.

A fool and a wise man

Back in my high school days, one of the popular phrases being bandied about was "A wise man should learn from his mistakes."

Now, this being a publik skool, it was taken as absolute fact that yes, a wise man would learn from his mistakes. However, I had a father who was smarter than most of the publik skool teachers, and after hearing me quote that phrase in his presence he took me aside and said "David,"....

Yes, my father calls me David. And my mother as well. They are the only ones entitled to do so.

Anyways, to continue on, my father says to me "David, a fool should learn from his mistakes. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others."

That has stuck with me for the rest of my life. I think that's why I have such an interest in history; you can see what works, what doesn't work, and the reason for both of them. It is why I have such a hard time understanding why anyone with two functioning brain cells could espouse ideologies such as socialism, communism, or any of the various Leftist "isms" that are touted among "intellectual" circles. You can look at history and see a proven track record of utter and complete failure whenever any of those 'isms have been applied, in any form, for any reason, by anyone.

I guess there are just that many fools in the world.

But the ultimate problem with Leftist ideologies is that by the time the fools have learned their lesson, it's too late. In every communist country, a brutal, power-hungry dictator as taken control, and once in control communists do not give up that power. They will murder, jail, or terrorize anyone who stands in their way. The same goes for those in the positions of lesser power under that dictator. Once they have power, they will do anything they can in order to keep it. And in the event that the fools have won, and the dictators now rule, that means everyone, not just the fools but the wise who tried to teach them and prevent this disaster, EVERYONE is screwed.

Yes, fools can learn from their own mistakes. But by then it's too late, as Aaron shows in his post. It's the diary of a useful idiot from Holland who went and joined the FARC, which is a communist movement to overthrow the government of Columbia. Not surprisingly, one of her diary entries is about how the so-called "equality" is nothing but:

"What will it be like when we take power? The women of the commanders will have Ferraris, breast implants and eat caviare. At least that is how it seems,"
Communism is a pipe dream, period. End of story. There has never been a communist society where a few corrupt tyrants didn't live like kings off the labor of everyone under them. There has never been a communist country where everyone was treated equally. There has never been a communist organization where everyone enjoyed the same quality of life. The people in power always abandon their communist platitudes in favor of rich living, while those not in power suffer a squalid existence. This is because the main proponents of communism don't give one whit about their fellow man - THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT POWER AND WHO CONTROLS IT.

Communism fails. Anyone can look at it's failure, written across the past century, written in the blood of it's hundreds of millions of victims. Anyone who cares to look can see that communism turns men into something less than human, all for the benefit of a very few people.

But I guess there's just that many fools in the world.

A bit busy today

So I'm going to direct you to Random Nuclear Strikes. Specifically this post, which everyone who doesn't want to see Socialized Medicine should read. Anyone who advocates government funded healthcare should first be brought to task on the fact that we already have a government funded healthcare system in this country - Medicare. To say that it is a total and complete failure would be a little off, but only a little. Because the gummint has fucked it up as only the gummint can.

The government has already proven that it cannot run a health care system. Do not give them a second chance. They don't deserve it. And you cannot risk your health on it.

The more I hear about this

The more pissed off I get. Congress, specifically the Democrat American Communist Party members of Congress, are STILL refusing to fund the military.

Folks, I've always said that the Democrat American Communist Party hates the military. Hell, I was saying that back when I first started blogging. And I stand by that statement today. They loath the military with every fiber of their being, and would love to see the military torn to pieces.

Well, now they're in charge, and you see what happens. As I've said earlier, let those pink slips start hitting areas who fall into a Democrat American Communist Party district. Watch what happens.

UPDATE: I see via Ace of Spades HQ that funding for an anti-IED program just ran out.

Retired Army Gen. Montgomery C. Meigs, director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, told Pentagon reporters that the organization will have to stop funding new initiatives and just maintain operations.

“We’re out of (funding) new stuff now; we’re going to have trouble sustaining current contracts after the first of December,” Meigs said.

The anti-IED organization needs the funding to sustain operations and to pay for equipment fielded but not yet turned over to the services for funding, Meigs said. For example, he said, his organization funds the Guardian man-portable jammer, the contractors to service it, and the training in the system.

The only time the Democrat American Communist Party cares about the military is when they can us to get re-elected. Other than that? They much prefer us dead.

Otherwise, they would actually ensure that the military has enough funds to operate.

Ragin' Dave's Quote of the Day

I was speaking to the pianist after choir practice last night. We were discussing a few different things not religion related, and we got to talking about depression, relaxation, and psychology. Now this guy, and I'll call him "Joe", has been around a bit. Professional guitar player, learned the piano to help his congregation and then started playing for my congregation earlier this year. Lived in the states for a good while to go to school, and eventually moved back to Puerto Rico. Anyways, we start talking about psychology, and I find out he's got a PhD. In psychology. He's a licensed psychologist. So I ask him why he's not doing that in Puerto Rico. And he says:

"Dave, I went to America to go to the university there. I got my PhD, and practiced in the States, and in Puerto Rico. And after a while, you know what I realized? PSYCHOLOGY IS NOTHING BUT BULLSHIT. Psychology and the people who practice it have done more harm than good to our society. I didn't want to do that anymore. So now I play music, and I've never been happier."

I have to say, he's an incredible musician.
