Rotting from the Head

So the Ohio National Guard decided to have themselves a training event.  I've been in a few training events myself, so I understand their nature and how important they are for the troops to practice what they do.

In just about every training event I've been in, the enemy was from a place with names like "Krasnovia", or "Eastern Nowhereville", or some made up name.  It doesn't really matter what the name is, so long as you get to practice what you do, right?

But what about the motives of the enemy?  After all, the reason you're practicing is to deal with real-world examples of what you would go up against, right?

Well, maybe not.

Documents from an Ohio National Guard (ONG) training drill conducted last January reveal the details of a mock disaster where Second Amendment supporters with “anti-government” opinions were portrayed as domestic terrorists.

The ONG 52nd Civil Support Team training scenario involved a plot from local school district employees to use biological weapons in order to advance their beliefs about “protecting Gun Rights and Second Amendment rights.”

Portsmouth Fire Chief Bill Raison told NBC 3 WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia that the drill accurately represented “the reality of the world we live in,” adding that such training “helps us all be prepared.”

 You get all that?  2nd Amendment supporters are now domestic terrorists.  And the Army is training to put them down.  And it gets better!

In the disaster-preparedness scenario, two Portsmouth Junior High School employees poisoned school lunches with mustard gas, acting on orders from white-nationalist leader William Pierce.
 So 2nd Amendment supporters are racist terrorists!

Look, these kind of words and images have meaning.  It is training, after all.  And it seems that the Ohio National Guard is training their people to think of pro-Constitution folks as racist domestic terrorists. 

 Apparently last year the Ohio National Guard did the same thing, only with a Left-Wing group.  They apologised for upsetting the liberal snot-wads the very next day.  Because everyone knows that there's no such thing as a liberal domestic terrorist, unless you count Bill Ayers, Bernadette Dorn, Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan (although he may not count since he was Palestinian and they're all just terrorists), Students for a Democratic Society, Weather Underground, Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front, the shooter from the National Holocaust Museum, and damn near every perpetrator of a mass shooting in the USA in the past three decades.

And everybody knows that Democrats can never be racist, even though they started the KKK, had a Grand Kleagle as a Senior Member of Congress until he finally kicked the bucket (that would be Grand Kleagle Robert C. Byrd), filibustered every civil rights law that came across Senate Majority Leader Lyndon B. Johnson's desk, (which ended, ironically enough, when he became Vice President and then President and was forced to sign all those bills he had filibustered into law), and can be found today insulting and demeaning any black person who has the balls to step off the Democrat Plantation, just to name a few examples.

Look, someone up the military Chain of Command in Ohio had to approve this.  There is some General or Colonel who looked at this plan and said "Yep!  Looks good!  Go with it!"  And rather than using real world examples of what they might go up against, they decided to indulge in the Democrat American Communist Party wet dream of "Right Wing Domestic Terrorism". 

Well, at least they tipped their hand.

More good news from Iraq

That the hyper-partisan, biased, worthless MSM in this country doesn't feel the need to report.

Two years ago, Anbar Province was the most lethal place for American forces in Iraq. A U.S. marine or soldier died in the province nearly every day, and the provincial capital, Ramadi, was a moonscape of rubble and ruins. Islamic extremists controlled large pieces of territory, with some so ferocious in their views that they did not even allow the baking of bread.

On Monday, U.S. commanders formally returned responsibility for keeping order in Anbar Province, once the heartland of the Sunni insurgency, to the Iraqi Army and police. The ceremony, including a parade on a freshly paved street, capped one of the most significant turnabouts in the country since the war began five and a half years ago.


Just think - if Obama had his way, Anbar Province would still be a violent hellhole, and Iraq would be worse off than they ever were under Saddam.

Shortly after midnight on the morning of June 13, 1942, four men landed on a beach near Amagansett, Long Island, New York, from a German submarine, clad in German uniforms and bringing ashore enough explosives, primers, and incendiaries to support an expected two-year career in the sabotage of American defense-related production. On June 17, 1942, a similar group landed on Ponte Vedra Beach, near Jacksonville, Florida, equipped for a similar career in industrial disruption.

The purpose of the invasions was to strike a major blow for Germany by bringing the violence of war to our home ground through destruction of America's ability to manufacture vital equipment and supplies and transport them to the battlegrounds of Europe; to strike fear into the American civilian population, and diminish the resolve of the United States to overcome our enemies.

By June 27, 1942, all eight saboteurs had been arrested without having accomplished one act of destruction. Tried before a Military Commission, they were found guilty. One was sentenced to life imprisonment, another to thirty years, and six received the death penalty, which was carried out within a few days.

Mike Gravel(D) defends a terrorist with terrorism

...urged people to stalk a federal prosecutor and his family in order to get criminal contempt charges dropped against Sami Al-Arian...

...Al-Arian pled guilty in 2006 to conspiring to provide goods and services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). His 2005 trial ended with eight acquittals and a deadlocked jury on nine other counts, including racketeering conspiracy. He has argued that his plea agreement ruled out what he considers cooperation with any government investigations. But Kromberg has argued that a grand jury subpoena is not cooperation, but rather it is a compelled statement. When Al-Arian refused to testify despite a grant of immunity, he was subject to civil contempt orders that extended his incarceration for months.

Mike Gravel(D) is not just willing to defend a terrorist but is in fact threatening children of public servants tasked with bringing that terrorist to justice. A vomitous coward demonstrating exactly the tactics we've seen his party adopt repeatedly to veil the threat to innocents.

I hope Mike Gravel(D), gets exactly that which he wishes upon children. Better yet... grant him the fate he would allow Sami Al-Arian's fellow terrorists to visit upon children.

I'd love to say....

That American Special Ops were making headlines in Iraq. I really would. I'm proud of the US Army, and I brag on 'em as much as possible.

But this is even better:

Iraqi Special Operations Forces captured a senior Mahdi Army commander with "close ties" to Muqtada al Sadr's office in Najaf on June 19. Two other senior Mahdi Army commanders in Baghdad and Hillah were captured on June 20 and 21.

The people that the Democrat American Communist Party wanted to abandon from the moment we set foot in Iraq are now conducting Special Ops missions, and kicking ass.

The three arrests come as the Iraqi military is pressing its operation in the Mahdi Army stronghold in the southern province of Maysan. The Mahdi Army has surrendered the provincial capital of Amarah without firing a shot, and six senior Sadrists, including the mayor of Amarah, have been detained. Security has also tightened in the neighboring provinces of Wasit, Dhi Qhar, and Basrah.

This day would have never come if we had listened to the shrieking idiots of the Left. The Iraqi Military is proving it's worth in mission after mission. It hasn't been a perfect road to this point, sure. There've been some bumps along the way. But dammit, it's worth it. And it's damn near the only way to bring some stability to an area of the planet that has seen damn little stability in it's recent history. And to the defeatists, the nay-sayers, the people who wanted us to fail, who wanted us to pack up and go home, let me quote the good President Roosevelt to you:

I don't wish him ill. In fact, I think he was, if not one of the good guys, at least of of the guys who tried to meet things in the middle.

But here's the thing - how old was Sergeant First Class Paul R. Smith when he died?

You know...... Paul R. Smith. The first Medal of Honor in the War on Terror. Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sergeant First Class in the US Army.

How old was he?

You don't know?

Then maybe we need to re-examine this country's priorities in the people that it mourns. Or at least try to shift the focus a little bit.

UPDATE: OK, so it looks as if SCOTUS didn't define anything - they struck down current rulings? Status? on how the terrorist tumblefucks should be treated. In short, it's one massive clusterfuck, all thanks to a bunch of black-robed tyrants.

Yay. Sondra K. has quotes from the dissent. My question is, what is it going to take before common folk simply start ignoring the Supreme Court? To be honest, I was at that point after Kelo. Why should I listen to a bunch of people in D.C. when they obviously are so mentally twisted that they could issue a ruling like that?

Once again, Bush didn't lie

Although I doubt this will have ANY effect on the bumper-sticker ideology of the Left.

But dive into Rockefeller's report, in search of where exactly President Bush lied about what his intelligence agencies were telling him about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein, and you may be surprised by what you find.

On Iraq's nuclear weapons program? The president's statements "were generally substantiated by intelligence community estimates."

On biological weapons, production capability and those infamous mobile laboratories? The president's statements "were substantiated by intelligence information."

On chemical weapons, then? "Substantiated by intelligence information."

On weapons of mass destruction overall (a separate section of the intelligence committee report)? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information." Delivery vehicles such as ballistic missiles? "Generally substantiated by available intelligence." Unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to deliver WMDs? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information."

As you read through the report, you begin to think maybe you've mistakenly picked up the minority dissent. But, no, this is the Rockefeller indictment. So, you think, the smoking gun must appear in the section on Bush's claims about Saddam Hussein's alleged ties to terrorism.

But statements regarding Iraq's support for terrorist groups other than al-Qaeda "were substantiated by intelligence information." Statements that Iraq provided safe haven for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and other terrorists with ties to al-Qaeda "were substantiated by the intelligence assessments," and statements regarding Iraq's contacts with al-Qaeda "were substantiated by intelligence information." The report is left to complain about "implications" and statements that "left the impression" that those contacts led to substantive Iraqi cooperation.

I'm wondering why this is coming out now. Who does it benefit? I'm fairly certain this will have no affect at all on the Leftists who chant "Bush Lied" like their own personal mantra. You remember this post, where Yuri Bezmenov talked about what had been done to the US education system? You can shower these people with facts, and it won't make a difference. You can put the truth right in front of them, and they'll ignore it. You can show, for years as the Right has done, that Bush didn't lie, but it still won't matter. The truth doesn't matter to the Left. The truth is an inconvenience to the Left.

But at least there's one less media outlet we have to constantly disprove now. Well, on THIS point anyways.

Too Awsome Not To Link

Ace of Spades HQ on the media's curious silence in Iraq.

We began by losing in Fallujah so badly our troops now say there are weeks that go by without hearing a gun shot. It's quiet there now... Too quiet.

We then lost Baghdad catastrophically. You can tell we lost because there are so few reports of mortar attacks hitting the Green Zone. The enemy won there by moving further and further out from the city. You know -- surrounding us.

We then lost in Basra so dreadfully it apparently simply vanished from the map entirely, perhaps sucked into another dimension through an interplanar vortex.

Next up we lost in Sadr's last bastion of power -- the slum he's named for -- which you can see by fact that the Iraqi Army is now patrolling the streets and conducts house-to-house searches for weapons. But we lost, because two concessions were made to the Sadrists -- "light weapons" (pistols, rifles) could be kept, one per person, and no US troops would accompany the IA. That last point really stung us, because you know our boys are heartbroken that the IA gets the glamor duty of patrolling this slum. Glory denied; a brilliant psyops tactic to crush the spirits of our troops.

Anyone who reads this blog knows my opinion of the MSM: They are nothing but bought and paid for whores, nothing but a propaganda organ for the Democrat American Communist Party.

Now, prove me wrong.

What's that old cliche.....

.....about a guilty conscience?

WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama accused President Bush on Thursday of launching a "false political attack" with a comment about appeasing dictators.

Well Barak, if the shoe fits, wear it. What exactly did President Bush say?

In a speech to Israel's Knesset, Bush said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.


"We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."


Since Obama has repeatedly stated that he would meet with the leaders of terrorist supporting countries, and has advisors who meet with terrorist supporting dictators, I'd say that old Barry should actually take President Bush's speech to heart. Of course, we all know that he won't. He's a Democrat American Communist Party member, after all. Surrender and appeasment are all they know.

The Israelis aren’t stupid. You don’t live to be 60 and face what they’ve had to face from the minute of their birth without a keen sense of who their friends are. And when the Israelis see their mortal enemy Hamas embracing Obama’s candidacy, they might be wondering who this fellow is and just what does he have in store for Israel if he gets elected.

Gee, ya think? More to the point, if the Israelis see that they're about to be sold down the river by America, they're going to do whatever they have to do in order to make sure they survive. And if that means nuking Iran, they'll do it. The one and only thing holding back much of the Middle East from attacking Israel is the knowledge that if they attack, the USA will be there to beat them back. What happens if that threat, real or perceived, is gone?

Ayman al-Zawahri calls out Iranian 'Truthers

Yes, it's come to this. al-Qaida's No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri makes more sense then many Americans or Europeans.
Osama bin Laden's chief deputy on Tuesday denied a theory that Israel carried out the Sept. 11 attacks and blamed Iran and Shiite Hezbollah for spreading the idea to discredit the Sunni al-Qaida's strike against the U.S.
Ayman al-Zawahri also fingers Iranian involvement in Iraq:
"Iran's aim here is also clear — to cover up its involvement with America in invading the homes of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq," he said.

Yeah, right.

Anyone else seen this video, of a Marine purportedly throwing a puppy off a cliff? People still can't agree - was it a real dog or a fake dog? If it was real, was it dead or alive? Who the hell knows? Yet ABC is already rolling out the "War-tortured troops suffering from Bush-imposed illegal war on innocent terrorists!" meme.

The motivation for such an act, if it did indeed occur, may be as complex and deep as the U.S. war that has dragged on for more than four years, experts told ABCNEWS.com. Chief among them: Having to live with the constant fear of being injured or killed might have led this Marine to take his aggression out on a defenseless animal, several psychologists said.


If it did occur? IF IT DID OCCUR???? THESE FUCKING BASTARDS DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE EVENT ACTUALLY FUCKING HAPPENED AND YET THEY TROT OUT THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT HIT PIECE ON THE MILITARY, PRESIDENT BUSH, AND THE WAR ON TERROR!

The best thing that could happen to the MSM in America is for it to die quickly. I never trust any news from any major news outlet. They've proven that they can't be trusted.
