Well, my computer is fucked

I have a cheap Chromebook as a backup, which is how I'm typing this out right now.  Content may be limited a bit.

MyPillow

No, it's not a political post.  I actually bought a MyPillow a couple of months ago.  I'd been using a combination of three pillows for a while, trying to find a way to get comfortable.  Finally I decided "What the hell, let me try this thing."

I bought the king-sized extra firm.  It showed up, along with a copy of Mike Lindell's book that he gives away with an order.  You unroll it and toss it in the dryer to get it to fluff up.  I put a pillow cover on it, put it on the bed, and gave it a try.

I can tell you that my wife noticed a decrease in snoring right away.  It was comfortable.  You can wash it and dry it.  Fluff it at night and it's good to go.  I haven't bothered with any other pillows since I bought it.

All in all, I'd recommend it.  It's a damn good pillow.  Just make sure you get the right size and right fill for you.  I haven't tried any of his other things, but I'd buy a MyPillow again in a heartbeat.

Gah. I got nothing.

Couldn't sleep last night.  Woke up late.  Almost missed an appointment.  At least I got some motorcycle time, as it seems that riding season is rapidly coming to a close here.

Listened to the news a little bit as I was out and about.  Didn't want to blog about it.  Maybe I'll have the gumption to post something interesting tomorrow.

It's just been a whole string of days tied together without any real time off.  I just need to recharge.

I wonder who's paying them off?

The CDC, a completely corrupt, converged group of shitstains, just voted to add the jab to the list of recommended childhood vaccines.

Oh, and this occurring while almost every other country in the world is pulling back on jabbing kids.

I think that every three-letter agency in D.C. needs to be carpet bombed, preferably while the politicians in charge are still in the building.  Then bomb it again.  Make the rubble bounce.  Then salt the earth where they once stood, so that the barren land can be a warning to everyone else.

Holy crap, that was beautiful

Kari Lake, running for governor of Arizona, just ripped the media a new asshole.  With receipts.

“So, it’s okay for Democrats to question elections, but it’s not okay for Republicans?” Lake said in the clip above. “It’s a crock of BS, everyone of you knows it, we have our freedom of speech and we’re not gonna relinquish it to a bunch of fake news propagandists…”

“Since 2000, people have questioned the legitimacy of our elections and all we’re asking is that in the future we don’t have that have to happen any more,” she added.

I love when she's talking to her aide.  "How old are you?  Are you a journalist?  Well, you just did a better research job than half of these people."

The bottom line:

Shoot whatever gun and caliber fit your hand, because pretty much everything does what you need it to do.

This study took me a long time and a lot of effort to complete. Despite the work it took, I'm glad I did it. The results I got from the study lead me to believe that there really isn't that much difference between most defensive handgun rounds and calibers. None is a death ray, but most work adequately...even the lowly .22s. I've stopped worrying about trying to find the "ultimate" bullet. There isn't one. And I've stopped feeling the need to strap on my .45 every time I leave the house out of fear that my 9mm doesn't have enough "stopping power." Folks, carry what you want. Caliber really isn't all that important.

Take a look at the data. I hope it helps you decide what weapon to carry. No matter which gun you choose, pick one that is reliable and train with it until you can get fast accurate hits. Nothing beyond that really matters!

The dude has the data.  It's broken down for you to peruse.  Were I to offer ANY kind of advice on what you carry, I would say make sure you have good defensive ammo.  I like Hornady Critical Defense because my gun cycles it perfectly and it's a hollowpoint.  But whatever works in your gun should do the trick.

We can still argue about what caliber and gun manufacturer are best.  But in the end, carry what you can shoot the best.

I could use another five days of sleep

Sleep deprivation will always come back to bite you in the ass.  I had no idea I forgot to post yesterday.  Hell, I won't have much of a post today.  Sorry, folks.  I'm brain-drained right now.
