Traveling

And it's a long one today.  But since you shouldn't go without good tunes.....

You know, I once asked a young girl from Harlem if she knew where Duke Ellington used to play.  She had no idea who Duke Ellington even was.  I think I cried.

Enjoy.  I'm out for the day.

Thank you Rep. Ryan

Hallelujia!

KILL THE BILL!  I have no problem being the Party of No.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child when they want to eat candy for dinner instead of healthy food.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child when they want to spend all the money on a trip to Hope-n-Change park instead of paying the bills.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child who is throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of a shopping mall.

"No" is a necessary word in the English language.  And if you're surrounded by squalling brats, "No" needs to be said.

Sultry

When I first heard this woman sing, my jaw dropped.  She had a voice that could go from playful to "come hither" in no time flat.

Enjoy!

Ummmmmmmmm.......

So, let's say you base your religion off of a book.  Half of said book is the details of one group of people living in the same area of the world for thousands and thousands of years.  Wouldn't it make sense to look at the book your religion is founded from, notice that the group of people it describes still exist in the very same location, and say "Hey, maybe those people belong there"?

Not if you're the Presbyterian Church of the USA.

The Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUSA) isabout to release a report which denounces Israel as a “racist” nation which has absolutely no historical, covenantal, or theological right to the Holy Land. The report calls for the United States to withhold financial and military aid to Israel and for boycotts and sanctions against Israel. That’s not all. The report also endorses a Palestinian “right of return” and “apologizes to Palestinians for even conceding that Israel has a right to exist.” According to the press release, it also states that Israel’s history begins only with the Holocaust and that Israel is “a nation mistakenly created by Western powers at the expense of the Palestinian people to solve the ‘Jewish problem’.”
In addition, PCUSA has also resolved to divest incompanies that supply military equipment to the American Army, e.g. Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, etc.

Let me cordially invite the PCUSA to open their Bibles, (you know, that book that your religion is based off of) and turn to the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Kings, hell just open up the Old Testament and start reading it..  That would be the section of the Bible that details the Jews existence in Israel.

If this report coming out is real, and not the concoction of an Onion story, the PCUSA has gone off the edge and can now be considered just another nutcase religion.

More Music

In my push to highlight actual musical talent rather than the junk being pushed today, here's a couple more videos of people with more musical talent in their left nostril than the collective R&B scene put together.

I got to see Lionel Hampton play live when I was in high school.  The University of Idaho has the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival every year, and we made there twice.  The highlight of the festival is the concert at the end, where jazz greats get on stage and just play their heart out.  I don't quite know how old Hampton was at the time, but he still had it.  He would just stand up there and play, and we would all go nuts.  I can say that I've seen one of the true greats play jazz live.

So on that note, here's a clip of "Jam Session"

And here's the same song from yesterday - Airmail Special.

Enjoy!

Yeah, sure

Tell me again how all the changes Obama wants to push onto the military is all about making the military better, and not just some politically correct bullshit social experiment that the Left enjoys pushing on the DoD?

The military is not a civilian job.  The military is not the same as the civilian world.  The military is not there so that whiney little asshats can experience "fairness".  I don't give a shit how TOLERANT you want me to be.  I'm not some brain-dead fucktard who embraces "DIVERSITY" just because other brain-dead fucking retards tell me I should do so.

Has there ever been a change the Democrat American Communist Party pushed on the military that made it better?

True talent

Most of the so called "singers" today couldn't sing their way out of a paper bag, even with producers making them sound good through the joys of digitization.  No talent hacks, making their way in the world by showing their tits and pussy rather than any kind of musical talent.

So is it any wonder that my music collection is filled with this instead?

Enjoy that earworm.

Obama slaughtering civilians

Barack Hussein Obama smearing our troops on the "good war" in Afghanistan :
"We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.”
Well it took a whole year... but now Barack Hussein Obama is "just air-raiding villages and killing civilians", via Sweetness & Light : NATO Air Raiding Villages, Killing civilians
Mr. Obama now has everything he ever wanted in Afghanistan.
He has his surge, he has his international forces (at least for the moment), he has his massively restrictive rules of engagement on our troops.
What is the problem?
No, I don't think our troops are "air-raiding villages and killing civilians" and it is a war-crime for out of uniform combatants to hide behind civilians. But Barack Hussein Obama is a liar who smears our troops constantly and takes credit for other's leadership he condemned and our troops are winning in spite of him, so eF him and the high horse he rode in on.

Short, snarky answers to questions unasked

Two posts at HotAir made some snark jump to my mind, and not very polite snark either.  The first headline - CNN Poll:  69% support letting homosexuals serve in the military.  Oh really?  Tell me, exactly just how much sway would this poll hold if it were predicting a presidential election?  Knowing the sheer liberal bias of CNN, why the hell should I listen to a poll of theirs without a counterbalancing poll?

Second - how very fucking TOLERANT of them to support that.  Now if they would have gotten off their asses and enlisted, I might give a fuck about their opinion.  Is that harsh?  Good.  I hope it was.  We had recruiters practically begging qualified people to enlist, and we had to lower the fucking standards to allow people to get in that we would have turned away ten years ago.  But now those same people who were too fucking good to join the military want to tell us how to run it?

FUCK.  YOU.  GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY HIDE AND GO FUCK YOURSELF.

Have I made myself clear?  Do I need to repeat that?

Second headline - GEN Casey has serious reservations about repealing "Don't Ask Don't Tell".  Ladies and Gentlemen, don't fool yourselves into thinking that the military is just hunkey-dory with Obama's push to repeal DADT.  We're just not allowed to shriek as loudly as the oh-so-fucking TOLERANT people who call anyone who opposes them bigots and haters.  General Casey has probably gotten more than an earful from commanders all across the Army who have flat out told him "If you do this, we're losing half of the force."  I have Chaplains who are afraid that if this push occurs, their endorsers will yank that endorsement.  Which means that entire swaths of Chaplains will no longer be eligible for duty. And if your response to THAT is "Oh well who cares" that tells me you don't have a clue what Chaplains do.

There are commanders out there who will have to deal with the total and complete clusterfuck that will be the result of repealing DADT, who can see that gigantic ball of shit rolling downhill right at them, and they don't like it one single bit.  And they are letting the Chief of Staff know about it.  Casey to me is nothing more than a politician in uniform, but he is getting absolutely hammered by the Soldiers who are going to have to deal with the end result of political correctness enforced by the oh-so-TOLERANT people behind this push.

This ain't a game.  And Casey is being made aware of it.

Anyone want to yell at me for a bit?  Be prepared to get what you give.

And here's my problem

With the whole "just legalize drugs" movement.  Because as of right now, and for the foreseeable future, drug users are going to cost society a whole shit-ton of money in medical bills and criminal activity.  And if you're going to cost society money, then society has the right to tell you just what the fuck you can or cannot do.

The top ten drug addicts that visited Harborview Medical Center ER back in 2003-2004 cost the hospital over one million dollars.  Think about that.  That's over 100,000 per person, to treat what is essentially self-inflicted damage.  One woman, a heroin junkie who kept stabbing herself with dirty needles, cost my hospital over half a million dollars to treat her repeated MRSA infections, and that's just the monetary damage.  That doesn't take into consideration the fact that this woman was such a wretched, horrible thing that she caused an entire shift of nurses to refuse to come into work until the woman was transferred or discharged.  I remember getting called up to the floor to deal with that particular patient.  I came down a back stairwell, the patient didn't know I was there, and I got to witness a shit-flinging temper tantrum of epic proportions.  This woman was throwing trash, yelling, screaming at the nurses "I WANT MY GOD-DAMNED MORPHINE YOU FUCKING BITCH!  GIMME MY MORPHINE YOU FUCKING COCK-SUCKING BITCH!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!"

Oh, but when I showed up it was "Oh, they're so mean to me!" (simper simper simper).  "They're so abusive to me!"  (whimper whine pout)  "I never yelled at them!  They're lying about me!  Why are they lying about me?"

When I pointed out that not only did I hear her yelling, I was standing not fifteen feet away as she did so and I didn't enjoy being lied to, she then became abusive towards me.  "FUCK YOU, YOU GOD-DAMMED ASSHOLE!  YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE!"  So on and so forth.  And all of this was done on a crowded hospital floor, in full view of everyone because this thing wanted her morphine.  I guess when you're shooting heroin into your vaginal lips because you've collapsed all the other veins with your drug habit, hospital morphine might be a bit light.  But I really don't give a shit, because the nurses were having to dress in biohazard suits to deal with the massive infections this thing had giving itself with it's drug habit.

Oh, and this thing had two children, both of whom were taken away by the state.  And all of this was done with your tax dollars.  This one woman consumed more tax dollars in three years than I have been able to produce in my lifetime.  And she consumed all those tax dollars because of her drug habit.  Think about that.

Now, if you tell me that drugs should just be legalized, I'm going to ask you several questions - first and foremost, how are you going to limit the cost of that drug use to society?  And since nobody has been able to answer that first question, I'll leave it right there for the time being.

How will you negate the cost that drug use imposes on society?  When the hospital bills start rolling in; when the cost of end-of-life care begins rolling in, and with some of these drugs that cost is coming earlier and earlier.  Yeah, you're 35 and you have osteoporosis?  You were a meth-head, and now your bones break if you stand up too fast?  Wow, that sucks.  And that sucks up tax dollars as people go to the doctor to deal with it.  Oh, you used drugs and now you have no teeth, and you want the government to provide you with dental care?  Oh, you had your kids taken away by the state because you spent your twenties in a drugged-out haze?

The cost of drug use in society costs us millions, if not billions of dollars currently.  If you're taking my tax dollars and using them to deal with those costs, then personally I have no problem with prohibiting drug use.  Just like I would have no problem giving drug tests to welfare recipients.  You're taking tax money to live on, you don't get to spend your money on drugs.  Sorry, but if you don't like it then either stop doing drugs or get the hell off welfare.

If someone can come up with a sufficient answer as to how to prevent drug use from costing society, then I'll freely admit that the government should back off.  But until that happens, and my tax dollars are going to the medical bills of some junkie?

Keep that shit illegal.

Doubling Down on Stupid

I'm not a Bill O'Reilly fan. I didn't have any particular animus against him, I just didn't watch him. Well, that and the fact that I don't have TV in the house, but even when I was in a hotel with Fox News I still wouldn't watch his show. In Seattle I might listen to his radio show from time to time. But watching him on TV, I thought he was a bit pompous and overblown. Other than his takedown of Bawney Fwank, I don't get much enjoyment from his show.

Well, even that's over and done with.

I saw it first on Rivrdog - Bill O'Reilly supports gun confiscation.

Then I saw it on Instapundit.

Now, Insty is reporting that O'Reilly is doubling down on his stupidity.

When the hell are people going to learn?

Got an hour?

Glenn Beck's entire CPAC speech.

Damn, I need more hours in my day.  Enjoy.

I'm sick of bipartisanship

Because to the Democrat American Communist Party, Bipartisanship means "Doing what the Left wants and throwing away every moral that you stand for on the Right."

How did that work out for ya in 2006?  Or 2008?  You like those results?  That's some good bipartisanship!  Mmmmmmmm, how bipartisan can you get?  In modern lingo, bipartisanship for the average American means getting bent over and assraped by BOTH political parties instead of just one at a time.

Every step we take towards government controlled health care is another foot in the grave for this country, but we're supposed to be happy because it's bipartisan?  Just because there's two fingers on the trigger of the gun being held to our heads doesn't make pulling that trigger any better for us.  Could someone please wake the Republican Stupid Party up and let them know that if they go along with Comrade Obama's plans they'll be even worse off than they were in 2010?  Good God, people.  I read crap like this piece by Bill Bennett defending the GOP:

Second, for him to continue to say that he does not hear the Republican party admit its failings or problems is to ignore some of the loudest and brightest lights in the party. From Jim DeMint to Tom Coburn to Mike Pence to Paul Ryan, any number of Republicans have admitted the excesses of the party and done constructive and serious work to correct them and find and promote solutions. Even John McCain has said again and again that “the Republican party lost its way.” These leaders, and many others, have been offering real proposals, not ill-informed muttering diatribes that can’t distinguish between conservative and liberal, free enterprise and controlled markets, or night and day. Does Glenn truly believe there is no difference between a Tom Coburn, for example, and a Harry Reid or a Charles Schumer or a Barbara Boxer? Between a Paul Ryan or Michele Bachmann and a Nancy Pelosi or Barney Frank?
Emphasis is mine, because that's the part I want to answer right away - The GOP is not led by Michele Bachmann.  The GOP is not led by Paul Ryan.  The GOP is lead by a bunch of spineless milktoasts who have spent just as hard and just as fast as the Donks wanted under GWB.  If the end results are the same, highlighting the supposed differences between people in Congress is nothing more than a fantasy.  "Oh, but Barney Frank is different than Paul Ryan!"  Really?  Wow.  Thanks for that little nugget of information, Bill.  Now, when Bawney the taint-sucking parasite was running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the ground under the GOP led Congress, what Republican did a damn thing to stop him?  And what exactly is the punishment for wrecking the US economy with his corruption and malfeasance?  Oh, nothing?  Nothing at all?

I don't give a shit if Ryan and Frank are different.  Because Bawney Fwank still did whatever the fuck he wanted to do, aided and abetted by the GOP.

If the GOP had actually stuck to it's principals from 2000 to 2006, the Donks would have never won Congress in 2006, and Obama wouldn't be president right now.  But when you show all the restraint and morals of a diseased Filipino whore, you're going to lose conservatives.  And when conservatives are your voting base, pissing them off means you lose elections.  Just ask John McCain, the least disgusting Democrat running in 2008.

So now the GOP is going to meet with the Teleprompter Jesus in a show of "bipartisanship".  Oh.  Joy.  That just means we'll get fucked over twice as hard.  I'm perfectly happy being the party of obstructionism.  And the GOP whines "but but but.....  Obama has a bully pulpit, and he'll use it to make us look like big meanies!"  Hey GOP - if you weren't such a bunch of braindead fucking jackasses you'd have grabbed ahold of the New Media with both hands and FUCKING USED IT!  You're no longer constrained by the Obama-fellating State Run Media!  You have other options!  But I think that you don't even WANT to use those other options, because that would mean growing a damn spine and standing up to the damned Marxist in Charge!

The only good I see coming out of this little "summit" is that the Tea Parties will take over the GOP that much faster.  And the GOP will die, and be reborn.  Maybe.  But I don't know if we can repair the damage that will get done in the meantime.

UPDATE:  Ahem.  If it brays like a jackass, and acts like a jackass, it's a fucking jackass.  Got it?

The top earmarkers in both the House and Senate are Republicans, even after the GOP has spent much of the past year making fiscal restraint and runaway government spending the centerpiece of its political message.
Rep. Bill Young (R-Fla.) and Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) — both atop defense spending panels — led their respective bodies in securing earmarks, according to an analysis by the nonprofit Taxpayers for Common Sense

Hey, here's an idea - if you don't want people think that you're just like the Donks, STOP ACTING JUST LIKE THE FUCKING DONKS!!!!  HOW HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND?!?!?!?!
