Broke down

Finally went to the doctor today.  After five days of just getting worse, I figured it was time.  I don't want to be the guy who runs to the doc for every little sniffle and pain, but when you start coughing up solid chunks it's time to get a little more help.

D-Day 70 years later

I can't write too well at this moment.  But I couldn't let the day go by without mentioning it.

I'm past wondering

...whether or not Bergdahl was a deserter.  He was either a deserter or crazy.

I'm now wondering why the hell he was ever brought to Afghanistan in the first place; or at least why he wasn't sent back at the first possible chance.  Maybe the option wasn't open to his CO.  Maybe it wasn't feasible at the time.

But there is no way in hell we should have traded five Taliban leaders for his ass.  Nope.

"Love" doesn't mean "Peace"

One of my biggest complains with modern Christianity today is the common attempt to turn God into a flower-power hippy love-child.  "But God is LOVE, man!  God loves you!"

Yes, he does.  And, like a father loves his son, he will not hesitate to beat you if necessary.  Like a Soldier loves his brother-in-arms, he will give you the ability to lay a righteous smack-down when needed.

Og has been getting all manufacture-ish, and put out a set of pistol grips that I friggin' love.  That particular bit of scripture is my email tag-line.  PS 144.  "Blessed be the Lord my God, who teaches my hands to fight and my fingers to war."

Does that sound like Hippy Jesus to you?

Morons like this are why Obama gets elected

Dude, you mean I have to pay for all that crap I voted for?  No way!  I can't afford that!  Somebody needs to do something!

“I’m at the breaking point,” said Gretchen Gardner, an Austin artist who bought a 1930s bungalow in the Bouldin neighborhood just south of downtown in 1991 and has watched her property tax bill soar to $8,500 this year.
“It’s not because I don’t like paying taxes,” said Gardner, who attended both meetings. “I have voted for every park, every library, all the school improvements, for light rail, for anything that will make this city better. But now I can’t afford to live here anymore. I’ll protest my appraisal notice, but that’s not enough. Someone needs to step in and address the big picture.”

The stupidity and ignorance on display with this woman is simply mind-boggling.  She votes for things that require tax dollars, and then complains when she gets taxed to pay for the things she voted for.

This woman is literally being hit in the face with the consequences of her own actions and she CANNOT.  UNDERSTAND.  WHAT.  IS.  HAPPENING.

This is an Obama voter, folks.  This is the disease that is eating American from the inside out.  This level of stupidity can't be cured by an outside force.  This is the cancer that produces symptoms like Obama and his administration.  This person literally cannot understand the concept of cause and effect.

And when she sells her house, she'll move to a new location, where the cycle will repeat itself all over again, because a liberal cannot learn from their mistakes.  If they could learn from their mistakes, they wouldn't be liberal.

And yet again

Obama screws things up even worse than if he'd done nothing.  I mean, breaking the law, negotiating with terrorists, and exchanging five terrorist leaders for one POW is bad enough.

I don't think Obama's worst enemy could predict how badly this would blow up in his face.

Swap

So Obama traded five terrorist leaders for one POW, did he?

Did he hit them up with the plague first?  Maybe some Ebola?  If not, why not?

Look, there's a reason you don't negotiate with terrorists.  If you reward their hostage taking, they take more hostages.  But of course, that's only a political inconvenience for the SCOAMF, as Obama really doesn't give a damn about the military unless they can be used to further his political career.

So, there was an "earthquake" today

I think it was just the LA Kings fans reacting as their team beat Chicago to advance to the finals, winner to lift Lord Stanley's Cup.

There's a lot about LA sports that I can't stand.  I hate the Lakers with a passion.  Don't care about the Dodgers.  Could care less about the Clippers.  The Angles aren't even in Los Angeles, never were, so they don't count, and besides, they're in the division with my Mariners so I hate them anyways.

But the Kings are fun to watch.  And they have good fans, not the typical Los Angeles BS crap you see in LA.

And by "good", I mean ready to heap abuse on visiting teams at the drop of a hat.

I need some beauty

So...
