Note to self

When stepping 0ff the plane at Reagan International Airport, it's probably BEST to not turn to the gentleman next to you, lean in, and in a loud voice announce...

"Ah, Washington D.C. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy!"

But fuck it, he was probably some career bureaucrat anyways.

Soldier who challenged Presidents elegibility had orders recinded.

A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.

Reading through this article I can feel their excitement. Though I feel it is premature. As much as they want to be excited about this victory, I feel the worst is yet to come for this particular soldier. I expect a discharge, the hard kind to get, dishonorable. I pray I am wrong.

Heading out yet again

I get the wonderful opportunity to cut my leave short and head out on yet another mission!

I love the military, but sometimes I wish it would let me rest every now and then.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

I submit to you that the very fact this particular bill was allowed into Congress.....

Rep. Alcee Hastings - the impeached Florida judge Nancy Pelosi tried to install as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee until her own party members rebelled - introduced an amendment to the defense authorization bill that gives Attorney General Eric Holder sole discretion to label groups that oppose government policy on guns, abortion, immigration, states' rights, or a host of other issues. In a June 25 speech on the House floor, Rep. Trent Franks, R-AZ, blasted the idea: "This sounds an alarm for many of us because of the recent shocking and offensive report released by the Department of Homeland Security which labeled, arguably, a majority of Americans as 'extremists.'"

Is reason enough to call for Hastings' impeachment, and forcible removal if necessary. And should this pile of crap manage to pass the House, then I consider that reason enough to impeach each and every congresscritter who voted "Aye".

The budget busting Congress

So anyways, I spoke yesterday about a certain person in a certain forum that I sometimes frequent. There are other people on that forum, big Obama supporters, who screamed about the Bush deficits during the election. They would wave Republican spending around like a bloody shirt as a reason why we should all vote for change. And when I pointed out that the likelyhood of spending slowing down under Obama was nil, I was insulted and verbally abused.

So, now the deficit hits $1,000,000,000,000 (one TRILLION dollars!) for the first time EVER.

So I've actually hunted these folks down (metaphorically speaking), waved the one TRILLION dollar deficit under their noses and asked them this question:

When you were howling about the Bush deficits as a reason to vote for Obama, were you just that fucking stupid, or were you purposefully lying? Either way, it doesn't look too good.

Sotomayor

Barring the rise of the GOP into adequacy, we're about to have a small-minded, racist judge sitting on the highest court of the land. And if that doesn't make you weep, then you're in dire need of medication. I was going to type out a manifesto on her, but Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades HQ has already done so.

When I write that Sotomayor's extensive history of race- and gender-bias should disqualify her for a seat on the Supreme Court that's not hyperbole. I mean it. She should not be a judge because she believes that some individuals are better than others by virtue of membership in certain identity groups. She should not be a judge because she tried to hide a case involving important constitutional and statutory questions from her fellow appellate judges. Such a small-minded and intellectually dishonest person should not be elevated to the highest Court. If only the Republicans on Senate Judiciary agreed.

The Republican Stupid Party has once again displayed the weak-minded, yellow bellied, incompetency that lost them the 2006 elections, and the 2008 elections, and going by what I see, the 2010 elections. Gah.

So.....

There's a person on a certain forum I frequent, both of whom will remain nameless, who is an avowed Obama supporter, and while I don't know if I can classify her as a far-left kook, she's certainly anti-conservative to the core. She works for DOD on weapons systems. She was crowing about Obama's election right after it occured, and I told her in no uncertain terms, "When Obama begins to cut the military, I hope your job is first on the chopping block." The Missile Defense System was round one.

Here begins round two.

And the fact of the matter is, if this person gets laid off, it'll be exactly what she deserves. After all, she voted for it.

Police remove upside down flag for 4th then return it the next day

There is a huge debate as to if the reason this flag was being flown upside down was appropriate or not. I do not wish to enter that debate, though some of you may.

Flying or displaying the flag upside down is an acceptable method of displying the flag as a signal of dire distress and in instances of extreme danger to life or property. This is accoring to Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10, § 176.

DSIPLAYING THE FLAG UPSIDE DOWN
My issue is that the town police, on the judgement of the District Attorney removed the flag for the 4th of July parade because "It is illegal to cause a disruption," he said. "There were a lot of vets at that parade." The person flying the flag is an Iraq War Vet who had spent over $200,000 remodeling a restaurant before the town of Critvitz decided not to issue him a liqueur licence for an Italian Restaurant. He started flying the flag in mid-june.

My question is do the police have the right to sieze this flag that is being flow as a protest? Is this supported by the 1st amendment or not? After all people are allowed to burn the flag? How many people flew an upside down flag to protest President Bush?

"It is pretty bad when I go and fight a tyrannical government somewhere else," Congine said, "and then I come home to find it right here at my front door."

Computer infected

So I turned my computer off last Monday before I left. I came back yesterday, turned the computer on, and it wouldn't recognize my secure network.

Did I mention how much I hate Windows? Did I mention how much I hate the virus known as Windows Vista? Have I mentioned that I cannot stand Microsoft?

I'm running an end-around right now just to get online on my own network. Because of Windows Vista. This worthless piece of shit isn't an operating system, it's a pile of crap code sandwiched between two pieces of fail and wrapped up in a box of fuck-you-very-much. The hardware on this laptop is the best that I've ever owned, and if it had an actual operating system instead of the Windows Vista Virus, I would be able to just scream through all the tasks I have to do.

Instead? It's slower than XP, less stable than Windows ME, and the number one reason why I will be buying an Mac the next go around.
