 So it's time to stop being nice, Christians.

Today you live in Negative World, and Negative World just became deadly. No longer do you live in a place where there is a distinction between being a Christian and “fighting the culture war.” Those three nine-year-olds that the monster shot were not consciously combatants in the culture war. They were not little James Dobsons. They were just Christian kids being raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord by Christian parents. But we have reached a point where simply being a Christian means participation in the culture war is unavoidable. You may not want your children involved in the culture war, but if they bear the name of Christ, they are part of it whether you like it or not. Your enemy has made them a target, if not with bullets, with a poisonous mind virus that they constantly want them exposed to.

It is well past time for Christians, particularly Christian leaders, to recognize this. You have enemies. You have enemies that want you and your children dead. You have enemies you need to fight. Your desire to “win them over” through niceness is a weapon they wield against you. They manipulate your desire to avoid conflict. They know that you are terrified of offending anyone since that will negatively affect church attendance. And so they have rolled over you, they have destroyed your culture, and have now made you a pariah in your own country. You are not going to winsome your way out of this. You can choose to remain silent out of cowardice, or you can begin to fight an evil ideology that could not be in more stark rebellion against the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Has it really been four years already?  It seems much longer than that.

It may be difficult to believe in this enlightened age but there was a time not so long ago when the National Review was the intellectual heart of America's conservative movement. Its writers were sharp, gifted and irreverent. Their appearances on Fox News and other TV outlets made them rock stars. 

All that ended on January 22, 2016, when the magazine posted online its "Against Trump" issue. Once again, the editors proudly chose to stand athwart history rather than make it. They chose to lose with what they consider honor rather than win.

I remember that edition.  I remember Kevin Williamson's snarling contempt for anybody who didn't acquiesce to his demands that Trump be deemed verboten, which started well before that edition and continued well after it. 

How's that working out for you guys, anyways?

My dad, a hard-core conservative, and an early subscriber to National Review, cancelled his subscription after the "Against Trump" edition.  I did the same.  I'm sad to say that I'm glad I did it, because for all I can tell the National Review is so sunk into it's hatred of Trump that they're pretty much incoherent at this point.  Never-Trumpers as a whole have gone off the deep end and keep swimming away from any sane, stable rock.

The Never Trumpers first told us in 2016 that Trump was a Manhattan liberal. Then they told us he really wouldn’t pick good judges. Then they told us he really wouldn’t deregulate the economy. They told us he really wouldn’t be on the right side of race, voting, and culture. They told us he would start World War Three. They told us Trump really wouldn’t enact pro-life policies. 

Then Trump gave the pro-life movement the heft of the presidency on a cold January afternoon.

While conservative Christians have been defending Chick-fil-A from criticism, the fast-food chain donated to one of their worst enemies.

A library board in Kansas finds itself divided on a proposal to automatically bar registered sex offenders from participating in presentations at public libraries following outcry over the records of some Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) performers. 

After an event last year in which drag queens read pro-LGBT stories to children at Wichita’s Advanced Learning Library, the community’s library board is currently debating a proposal to automatically disqualify convicted sex offenders from presenting at libraries in the area.  

Past DQSH events have come under fire for putting convicted pedophiles and prostitutes in close proximity to children, yet the proposal has been met with some resistance.

How many Drag Queen Story Time events have allowed pedophiles to have access to children, anyway?

The answer, whether anyone wants to admit it or not, is all of them.

Among these examples of “inappropriate contact” are drag queens teaching kids to twerk and soliciting their email addresses, having children lay on them, and promoting homosexuality and gender fluidity. Some events have also come under fire for featuring performers behind X-rated skits involving children’s characters, and for attracting radical transgender protesters. 

The San Francisco-based Drag Queen Story Hour program describes its express purpose as capturing the “imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood” and giving children “unabashedly queer role models.” Louisiana drag queen Dylan Pontiff admits the events are about “the grooming of the next generation.”

So the Oscars were last night

Didn't watch.  Couldn't care less.  I know that Crowder did an Oscars show, replete with mockery and drinking games, but my liver can only take so much.  I'm glad we have cultural warriors willing to take the hit.

The thing is, I stopped watching the Oscars a long time ago.  Hell, I was just out of high school, and not really into politics, and even back then I knew that the awards were crap, the show itself was crap, and the entire thing seemed like one big exercise in mutual masturbation that only half of the actual attendees seemed to care about.

Kinda like the Grammies.  When Milli Vanilli won a Grammy, I stopped caring about the entire award.  Forever.  Yeah, yeah, it was revoked when the people who apparently did too much cocaine to notice that guys with thick accents and deep voices could sing perfect English two octaves higher woke up and went "Aw, shit!".  But I didn't care anymore. The Oscars are the same way.  I used to watch a lot of movies.  It was an event for me to go to the theater and see the latest comedy, or action flick. But the Oscar for "best" movie would always go to so crappy film I had never heard of, but that all the right people (read drug addicts, pedophiles and various other creeps) in Hollywood all loved because they were drug addicts, pedophiles and various other creeps.

So yeah.  Stopped watching the Oscars long before I got political, because it was a crappy show that loved crappy movies, and I didn't think they were really worth all that much attention.  So now that all of Hollywood is "woke" and loves to tell me how much they hate me because I'm a conservative male, traditional Catholic, and mostly white?  That just gives me even more incentive to not watch a damn thing.  And I mean not watch a damn thing.  The last time I was in a movie theater was for the Second Hobbit movie.  When did that come out?  2014?  2015?  And we went because someone had given us a gift certificate for that theater chain.  The last time I actually PAID to see a movie?  I think it was Avengers Age of Ultron, at the second run theater when I was on Vacation.  Other than that?  Nope.  I don't watch the work of people who hate me.

So, I don't care who won best picture, or actor, or whatever.  And judging from what I see around the country, there's vastly more people who feel the way I do than not.

I believe that gender identity is a fraud perpetrated by psychiatry, the likes of something the United States and other nations hasn’t experienced since the lobotomy era. As a result, I have returned to my male birth sex. 

On January 25, 2019, in the State of Florida, the Marion County Department of Motor Vehicles in Ocala, Florida issued me a male driver’s license. Ocala, Florida has been my home since July 2018. 

In the days ahead, I will be taking further steps to restore my birth sex to male more formally.

Now this guy apparently looked around, realized that the whole tranny thing was BS, and went back to being a guy.  I'm genuinely happy for him.

But what about the kids who are being given hormones blockers or testosterone and allowed to chop off their wienie or lop off their boobs because the Left wants to weaponize mental illness?

So, 1 by 1, this women’s social circle is developing gaping holes in it. In her naiveté, she implores the residents who see fleeing CA  refugees to realize that they are good people, just hoping for a better life.

They may have ‘good hearts and big dreams’, but what the resistant old residents of the new locations are wary of is the newcomers’ refusal to recognize several important things:

Go read the whole thing.  Understand that as a guy from Idaho, we have a rather visceral reaction when we find out that Kalifornians are moving in next door.  This reaction is a learned response.  There's nothing quite like having people move in who

1 -  Don't respect property rights (tear-assing around on four-wheelers, including through YOUR pasture land, and they don't even bother to close the gate behind them when they trespass)

2 - Demand that YOU conform to THEIR standards (when their standards are the reason they fled whatever stinking hellhole they came from)

3 - Sneer down at anyone local and label them as "hicks" or "rednecks" (but we were smart enough to not impose stupid legislation on our neighbors and make the whole place unlivable, much like Kalifornia did)

4 - Generally act in such a manner as to make yourself a pariah with anyone who's from the location.  (Loud statements of "Oh I love the scenery but have you seen the way they DRESS here?" do not help your cause)

Having lived in Los Angeles, I can honestly say that there's maybe four or five people out of the entire millions that I would welcome into my home town.  As for the rest, they need to stay there.  Don't pollute my home.  I would tell Kalifornians who are thinking about moving to Idaho to go read Fox's list, but I doubt it would do any good.  I've seen the kind of people who live in the San FranFreakShow area, I've worked with them, and I don't think they have the capability to actually learn anything from that list.  Arrogance and Ignorance combined, weaponized with Marxism, inflicted on America.  These are the people who allow drug addicts to shit on their streets.  And now they want to move to my town?  Why?  So they can let drug addicts shit on the streets up there?

I've come to agree with more folks that we're not voting our way out of this mess.
