In case you didn't know, the "caravan" of "refugees", also known as illegal aliens invading our country, just filed a lawsuit in Washington D.C.

Yeah, this entire thing is pissing me off, and what makes me even more angry is the fact that this should have been dealt with decades ago.  Close the border.  No birthright citizenship.  ENFORCE THE DAMN LAWS.  But both the GOP and the DNC had incentives to keep the massive flood of illegal aliens going into this country, and now we're dealing with the after effects of decades of importing low-education, low-skill, socialist-indoctrinated criminals who flout our laws with impunity.

Trump got where he is by first hammering America's lack of action on the border.  If Democrats actually think that this caravan of violent invaders is going to help them next Tuesday, they need to stop smoking whatever drugs they're on.  America is fed up with being told that we have to accept MS-13 gang members running unchecked across our border or else we're raaaaaaaaaaacist.  Screw that, and screw every politician who aids and abets this flood of illegal aliens into our country.

Secure the border.  BUILD THE WALL.  And cut off all Federal Funds to illegal aliens.  You don't have to deport them, you just have to cut off their flow of our money and watch them go back home.

Screwing with Military pensions

Megan McArdle talks military pensions, and focuses on the Commissioned side of the house.  Which isn't a bad thing, per se.  I agree with what she's saying, but I think she's missing the point.

If you want people to stay in a system where their lives are at risk, where they are governed in what they can or cannot say politically, if they must suffer under leadership both good and bad and deal with both in the same manner, to live a life where most every aspect of their lives is governed by some regulation, you're going to have to provide more than a 401k.

Try to foist off a civilian retirement on me, I'm going to act like a civilian.  Which means that the next time some toxic leader tries to go off on me for cleaning up his screw-up, I'm going to tell him to go fuck himself.  What the hell do I care?  I'm getting my 401k!

Military pensions are different from civilian retirement because the military life is different from civilian life.  The military gives up a hell of a lot, and many of them stay in because of that retirement.  Remove that incentive, and you remove the incentive for good people to stay in the military.

Which, in hind-sight, might be why Obama wants to do this so badly.

But for me, Friday is sleeping in, brewing, bottling what is ready, and just generally not getting out of my PJs unless I really want to.  Screw this Black Friday shit.  You want to know why it's called "Black" Friday?  Because that's the color your soul turns as you fight your way through the crowds, trying to save money on crap you don't need.

We just spent a day being thankful.  Do we now need a day of screaming "GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE"?

I took this picture on New Year's Day.  I was listening to the Rose Bowl on the radio as I was driving up Highway 2, and everyone kept talking about what a beautiful day in Pasadena it was. 

This shot is from the Angeles National Forest.  You can see downtown Los Angeles at the center-left, and if you squint at center-right you can see the blimp that was flying over the Rose Bowl during the game.

I'd like to point out that it is NOT a cloudy day.  There was barely a cloud in the sky.

That, my friends, is the smog of Los Angeles.  That is the poison that I'm forced to breathe in every single day.  Driving up Highway 2, the air was literally brown.  It's like living in some futuristic, dystopian movie.  And this was a day where the locals were singing praises about how clean the air was!

I cannot wait to leave this shithole.

Problem is, this time he did it over the direct objections of the deceased Soldier's families.

Reading this article (found here) about a protest in Texas, my eye caught a possible quote that got my blood boiling:

Despite the best efforts of the Democrat American Communist Party, this is NOT North Korea! We do not have Dear Leader installed in D.C.!

Perhaps THAT is the big dichotomy between Conservatives and Liberals - Conservatives want to be represented. Liberals want to be lead.
