Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and former psychiatrist–in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, who has studied transgendered people for 40 years, said it is a scientific fact that “transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men.” 

All such people, he explained in an article for The Witherspoon Institute,  “become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they ‘identify.’”

Johns Hopkins was one of the first hospitals to do gender re-assignment surgery.  They no longer do so.  Because as doctors, they looked at the results and found that the surgery did nothing to improve the lives of the people who went through it.  Which means that the surgery wasn't correcting anything.

Well, if the surgery isn't correcting anything, then they've mis-diagnosed the problem, haven't they?

“In fact, gender dysphoria—the official psychiatric term for feeling oneself to be of the opposite sex—belongs in the family of similarly disordered assumptions about the body, such as anorexia nervosa and body dysmorphic disorder,” said McHugh. 

“Its treatment should not be directed at the body as with surgery and hormones any more than one treats obesity-fearing anorexic patients with liposuction,” he said. 

In fact, at Johns Hopkins, where they pioneered sex-change-surgery, “we demonstrated that the practice brought no important benefits,” said Dr. McHugh. “As a result, we stopped offering that form of treatment in the 1970s.”

I would like to point out that there is nobody, and I mean nobody on the pro-tranny side of the debate that can come close to even matching the people at Johns Hopkins in terms of their knowledge, experience, and education.

Transgenderism is a mental disorder.  That doesn't mean you throw rocks at them while chanting "Unclean!  Unclean!"  But it does mean that you do not go along with allow them to mutilate themselves or inject themselves with hormones in an attempt to be something they are not.

This is on top of the fact that we KNOW the data has been manipulated.  The computer models they used were skewed in order to produce the results they wanted.  NONE of their predictions have come true,   And EVERY SINGLE MODEL showing catastrophe was destroyed by the simple fact that we haven't had a single bit of global warming for the past 17 years.  They call it "The Pause".  And if their models were correct, The Pause would not have happened.

So the only way this dire prediction would be useful is if you printed it out and used it as toilet paper.

Authorities were able to identify Torres as the attacker in that incident, following his arrest for Hassanen’s murder. As the WaPo article noted, the CPS report confirms that Torres has previously committed violent acts “unrelated to a hate crime motivation.”

So to whit - a violent illegal alien hispanic criminal gang-member thug who should have never been in this country to begin with beats a woman to death, and the Left is still trying to somehow make it Whitey's fault.

If you make it more expensive to hire and employ people, less people will be hired and employed.  The moment it's cheaper for a restaurant to buy a robot to do a person's job, they'll buy the robot.  Because in the end, if it's too expensive to have employees, you'll either completely automate or go out of business.

One of my projects has been to clear out an area under the bigger trees in my property, so that we can use more than just a sliver of the property.  We've got an acre and a half out here, but we use maybe one-eighth of an acre just because all the rest is overgrown.  Step one was to take out a bunch of the small, damaged trees that are growing up under the canopy.  Then I cleared out as many of the branches, rocks and what have you that I could find.  Then I mowed the underbrush into mulch.

We now have one small area under the trees that's perfect for a table and chairs in the heat of the day. There will be more to come, but I'm not going to transform this place into a wonderland simply because it's a rental, and I'm not getting paid for this.  I just want to have some portion of the land usable.

The fireflies have discovered the open spaces, and they're currently using it for their mating dance.  Quite a nice light show.  Between the fireflies and the other wilderness out here, I can see why so many ghost stories sprang up.  Twinkling lights and raccoons crashing through the underbrush must have made quite a few imaginations go crazy.

In the 2008 and 2010 elections, they said, as many as 2.8 million illegal noncitizen votes were cast, "enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes and congressional elections," said the study, authored by Jesse T. Richman and Gushan A. Chattha, both of Old Dominion University, and David C. Earnest of George Mason University. 

The bombshell was this: "Noncitizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress." 

It got little coverage in the mainstream media, and what coverage it did get was almost entirely dismissive.

When Trump said that he won the popular vote if you removed the millions of people who voted illegally, the Left went apeshit.  And they went apeshit because they knew it was true.

The FBI is now converged and worthless

The FBI literally states that Hodgekinson didn't have any target in mind when he asked whether it was Republicans or Democrats playing ball.  Apparently, the explicit list of targeted Republicans found on Hodgekinson wasn't enough of a clue as to who he was targeting.

I don't know what all is going on at the FBI HQ.  But I do know this - they are fully taken over by the Left, and now should be considered as nothing more than an armed wing of the Democrat Party.  There is no more impartiality at the FBI.  It is nothing more than a pathetic group of government thugs working for one side of the political spectrum.

Democrats love Vote Fraud

A research group in New Jersey has taken a fresh look at postelection polling data and concluded that the number of noncitizens voting illegally in U.S. elections is likely far greater than previous estimates. 

As many as 5.7 million noncitizens may have voted in the 2008 election, which put Barack Obama in the White House.

Democrats only win elections where they cheat and steal.  I'm willing to bet that the Clinton camp had millions of votes illegally put in to the system by one way or another.  That's why they didn't campaign in Wisconsin; they thought they had it in the bag with voter fraud.  It worked in Minnesota to get Al "The Fuckheaded Clown" Franken elected in 2010.  But they didn't count on people coming out just to vote against Hillary, and they didn't stuff the ballot box enough, so they lost.

If Republicans were actually serious about holding on to their seats, they would make damn sure that voter fraud was greatly reduced all over the country.

Briefly put, the author of the IARC’s carcinogenicity study, Aaron Blair, an epidemiologist from the U.S. National Cancer Institute, covered up his own research showing that exposure to glyphosate did not lead to a higher incidence of cancer in humans.

As Powerline points out, you cannot trust any "scientific" studies from a Leftist organization anymore.  Their politics win out over truth, reality, and facts.

FBI crime report figures show that Alaska, Arizona, and Wyoming–three states that abolished their concealed requirement years ago–have since witnessed a decreased in handgun murders.

James Comey is like a giant pile of rotting shit

Let’s begin with the case of one Frank Quattrone, a banker who Comey pursued relentlessly on banking related charges without fruition. But while he couldn’t find any wrong-doing on criminal conduct, he went after him for supposed “obstruction of justice” because of a single ambiguous email. Sound familiar? 

Before he was indicted, Comey made false statements about Quattrone and his intent. The first trial ended in a hung jury but the second one got a conviction.  

That conviction was overturned in 2006. Quattrone was so scarred by the harassment, he began funding projects designed to help innocent people who are victims of prosecutorial overreach or other problems. He said his motivation for supporting such projects was that at the very moment he was found guilty in the second trial, he realized there must be innocent people in prisons who lacked the financial resources to fight for justice. He also started the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. 

Quattrone has noted with interest the disparities in how he was treated by Comey for a single email compared to his handling of the Hillary Clinton email server scandal.

James Comey deserves to be in jail for his non-prosecution of Hillary Clinton, because a lot of people have been put in jail for far, far less than she did.  But as I'm finding out, Comey has always been a Clinton dog.

Twelve employees of a Democrat-linked group focused on mobilizing black voters in Indiana are accused of submitting fake or fraudulent voter registration applications ahead of last year’s general election in order to meet quotas, according to charging documents filed Friday.

And why is it that every time there's evidence of voter fraud, it's connected to the Democrat party?

The Indiana Voter Registration Project’s effort to register primarily black voters was overseen by Patriot Majority USA, which has ties to the Democratic Party, including Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and former President Bill Clinton.

Voter fraud is how Al Franken has his seat.  Voter fraud is how Bathhouse Barry Obumblefuck got over 100% of the vote in some districts in Ohio.  It's how Christine Gregoir got elected governor of Washington State in 2004.  Voter fraud exists, and it always, ALWAYS favors the American Communist Democrat Party.  The National Socialist American Workers Party, if you will.

James Comey exposes the kind of sleazy fuckstick he was, and is.

While writing a novel-length "briefing" that's anything but brief.  I won't re-hash Powerline's summary, you can go read their thoughts at the link.  I will say that Comey was Clinton's dog from the word "Go", and nothing in his written testimony will make you think otherwise.  Trump should have fired him on January 21st.

Updated to add:  Comey has been a Democrat Party Bitch for years.

Is it possible that everything they and their friends are alleging about Comey and Trump is true? Absolutely. Everything they and their associates are anonymously providing to journalists eager to promote their narrative could be true, especially given Trump’s tendency to rhetorically shoot from the hip. 

But given Comey’s history of secretly colluding with Democratic officials to craft a disputed narrative that makes everyone but himself look awful in order to oust a top Republican who didn’t sufficiently kowtow to Comey, there’s little reason to assume events transpired exactly the way Comey and his friends allege, especially given that both Comey and Bharara have rather obvious axes to grind on the matter. After all, Trump is the reason neither of them currently has a job. In light of Comey’s history of twisting private conversations and events, it’s probably a good idea to take anonymous leaks from him and his friends with a grain of salt.

So if you want to know why Hillary Clinton is still free, instead of being locked up in jail awaiting trial like any other American would be, it's because James Comey's loyalty is first and foremost to the Democrat Party.  Which means it's not to America.

My neighbor has a stand of bamboo that he doesn't quite like.  We've got some canes as tall as twenty feet, although most of them are in the 15 foot range.  So I'm going to take some down and see if I can't whip up a frame that I can pull a tarp over, and thus have a nice covered area for my motorcycle.

And so now I have a new car

My old car was dying slowly.  The radio only half worked.  Speedometer was dead.  Odometer was dead.  Rusty, slowly falling apart.  189,000 miles on it, many of those from the upper Midwest, which means body damage.  And it's a Suzuki Sidekick, with a top speed of under 70 mph, which has been driven across the country two and a half times by me.

So, the Mrs and I set about coming up with criteria for a new car some time ago.  Mine were pretty simple.  Manual transmission, good gas mileage, and A/C.  The Suzuki doesn't have A/C, and by the way that as really sucked for the past 5 years with Los Angeles and now Virginia heat.  In short, I needed a runner, not some tricked out ride

So we researched, and we waited, and we saw an advert online for a Ford Fiesta marked down to around ten grand.  It meet my criteria, so off we went to go check it out.  While we were there, we test drove a Focus, which also met my criteria but was a step up, which means also more expensive.

After the test drive, we found out that the Focus was on sale cheaper than the Fiesta was.  Sold.  After all the taxes, fees, licensing, yada yada yada plus floor mats (we live in the country) and wind deflectors (this is a rainy day car) we still came out several thousand dollars below what the original sticker price was listed.

So now I have a new car.

I've owned a Kindle Paperwhite for years.  Loved it.  My old one died after years of use, and I picked up a new Kindle Paperwhite, because why change what works, right?

Only it doesn't work.  Well, it kinda does, but not nearly as well as it used to.

Apparently, when you synch your Kindle, and download a book, you don't really download a book.  No, you "queue" it up.  So the book I purchased, and supposedly downloaded in my hotel room, is "queued" up.  But when I go to open it, it's not downloaded.  Nope, that would be too easy!  And guess where I can't download it?  At the fucking Louisville airport, where I'm wanting to read a book.  And thanks to your experimental browser, I can't connect to the airport wi-fi.  Which means I don't have my book for my flight.

So Amazon, fuck you, you brainless fucking fucktards.  You took a simple one-step process and fucked it up, you bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.  You took a good thing, a simple, good thing that did what you wanted it to do, and you fucked it up.

So we're renting a house that's on an acre and a half.  Most of that, damn near all of it, is trees.  Massively overgrown stands of trees that make all but a quarter of an acre unusable.

On Thursday, Senator Ron Johnson (WI) introduced a brand-new approach to adding vast numbers of new foreign workers: state sponsored visas. 

Under the State Sponsored Visa Pilot Program Act of 2017, states (or compacts of states) would apply for an initial pool of 500,000 “W” temporary guestworker visas for whatever skill-level of workers they want, regardless of their potential impact on American workers. Each state (plus D.C.) would receive 5,000 visas, then an additional 245,000 would be distributed proportionately based on the state’s population. If some states chose not to participate, their unused visas would be given to those that do participate the following year, ensuring that all the visas are handed out. Critically, unlike even the most flawed of existing guestworker programs, this new program establishes no uniform rules to offer even nominal protections for American workers.

And those big-government, anti-American shitheads still wonder how they got President Trump.  They still wonder why the top two people running for the White House were Trump and Ted Cruz, both of whom the GOPe hate with a burning passion.

What they fail to understand is that I hate them back.  I cannot stand them.  The GOP leadership disgusts me, in the same way that a rotting rat carcass that has been vomited out by a vulture would disgust me.  They are the lesser of two evils, but they are still evil, because in their actions they are really not much different from the Democrats, who are against everything that American supposedly stands for.

Some dipshit professor in California is now claiming that Squirrels are subject to "gendered, racialized and speciesist" media bias.

Teresa Lloro-Bidart, an associate professor of liberal studies at Cal Poly, argues in a recently published postmodernist research paper that eastern fox squirrels are on the receiving end of racially-charged media bias. Lloro-Bidart claims that she worked towards such a conclusion by analyzing the coverage of eastern fox squirrels through “feminist posthumanist,” and “feminist food studies” lenses. 

Lloro-Bidart contends that eastern fox squirrels, which is the most populous species of tree squirrel in North America, are on the receiving end of such bigotry due to several factors, most notably, the “western, modernist,” framework by which humans interpret their behaviors and actions.

If any one of my college professors came at me with this kind of idiotic blather, I would immediately march to the Registrar's office and demand my money back.  This kind of bullshit isn't science, scholastic activity, or even research.  This is the kind of snarky crap formerly made up by the writers of National Lampoon.  I kept going through this hoping it was taken from The Onion or some other ironic rag like that.

Nope.  This is actual real, grade-A bullshit.

At this point, I would be OK with just abolishing the VA.

Just fire everybody at the same time and shutter the entire agency.

On Tuesday, the Appeals Court for the Federal Circuit ruled that the firing of former Phoenix Veterans Affairs (VA) Director Sharon Helman, a convicted felon, was unconstitutional. While this does not mean Helman will return to work, the ruling may strike a powerful blow against VA accountability reform.

So this felon, this convicted felon, who presided over Veterans dying while on a waiting list and covering it up, falsifying documents, just basically making shit up to cover her criminal ass, didn't even get fired for the dead Veterans who piled up under her watch.  Nope.  She got fired for accepting gifts she shouldn't have taken, and even that has been overturned.

In other words, Helman got off scot free from the scandal, but was fired because she accepted $50,000 in gifts without reporting them. The gifts came from Dennis "Max" Lewis, a former VA executive who had mentored Helman before going into private business as a lobbyist with a company that secured millions of dollars in VA contracts. The gifts included a $11,000 family vacation to Disneyland, spa and resort visits, air fare, and concert tickets. Helman was sentenced to two years probation in 2016.

I had to take a fiscal law class before I was allowed to approve DTS authorizations way back in 2008.  If you don't know what DTS is, consider yourself lucky.  But the salient point is that even some guy just approving someone else's travel authorizations had to be taught that you DO NOT TAKE GIFTS.  YOU DO NOT ACCEPT BRIBES.  There are laws that cover what you can and cannot accept, and I couldn't even accept a cold beer from a hotel that I was doing business with.

So this criminal bitch allows Veterans to die while on a waiting list, covers it up, accepts 50K in bribes, and the government insists that she should be set free?

Destroy it all.  It's corrupt.  Rotten to the core.  Unsalvageable.  Blow it to hell and salt the earth it stood on.

It's health care is a joke.  It's administration is criminal.  It's internal processes are that of parasites looking to continue feeding from a host.  Kill it.  Kill it with fire.

FBI Directory James Comey was fired by President Trump.

About fucking time.  He pretty much destroyed the rule of law in this country, and made damn sure everybody knew that Hillary Clinton was a criminal but that he wasn't going to prosecute her.

Any normal person would have been locked up in Ft. Leavenworth Disciplinary Barracks for committing a tiny fraction of the crimes that Hillary Clinton committed.  And yet she's out walking around a free woman still trying to find someone to blame for her electoral loss.  That's due to James Comey.  And quite frankly, if he was getting pressured from above to not prosecute, then he damn well should have come out and said it on the record.  "I didn't prosecute Clinton for her breathtaking amount of criminal activity because that fat cow AG Lynch refused to let me do so, and wouldn't give me any support."  But this waffling and half-truths and maybe-but-maybe-not just damaged the one last part of the government that people had any respect for, and put the entire FBI under the same partisan umbrella that the CIA has been living in for years.

Maybe he was just too small to handle the wave of events.  Maybe he was pressured by the corrupt criminal gang of the Obama administration.  Maybe he couldn't figure out what to do.  In any case, he was the wrong man for the job.

But I'm going out on a limb and saying that the reason there aren't more gay conservatives is because the mindset for gay behavior kind of goes against what makes people conservative.  Much like the mindset for Christian behavior tends to favor conservative behavior.  So when a gay gets upset and starts screaming at kids for advocating Jesus, it's not a big shock to me.  Of course, when it's also the vice-principal of a school, there's probably some deeper issues.

When a protester said Jesus can "set you free from your sin," the principal shot back, "I'm as gay as the day is long and twice as sunny. I don't give a f**k what Jesus tells me and what I should and should not be doing."

One of the overwhelming characteristics of gay culture is the promiscuity.  I can remember seeing flyers in Seattle for "Bareback Night" at gay clubs.  For those who don't know, that means anal sex without a condom.  And this is in 2001, when STDs and AIDS are well known, not some secret thing that nobody knew about, and gay clubs are advertising sex with random anonymous men in order to bring in customers..  And gay men have been one of the drivers for the AIDS epidemic, due precisely to that promiscuous behavior.

Christianity, on the other hand, preaches against promiscuous behavior.  That whole "Don't have sex before marriage" thing kind of cuts down on bath-houses full of gay men spreading whatever diseases they might have to one another.  Yeah.  I know that seems harsh.  But AIDS was going to be called GIDS before the PC police threw a hissy-fit.  Guess what the "G" stands for?

So you have one culture dedicated to the concept of sexual gratification any place, any time, anyone, and another culture dedicated to the concept of celibacy outside of marriage.

Not too many folks are going to meet in the middle there.  And those that do are the exception to the rule that proves the rule.

Calendar lining up

Finally got signed up for a course I should have had years ago.  Lots of things going on in the Summer, because that's when Reservists have time to actually do things.  So basically, from now until next January, I'm going to be hopping around like a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.

Finally changed the *&^%$# spark plugs

I love Honda motorcycles, I really do.  They're damn near impossible to kill, run smooth, get great gas mileage, and last forever.

And two of the four spark plugs are absolute bitches to replace.  But I finally got 'em today.  I think next time I'll just take it to the shop and tell the guys who do it for a living to have at 'em and call me when it's done.
