Because an average person can reasonably conclude that nobody in Washington D.C. would follow the law, treat people equally, and do what needs to be done.

Because the rule of law has been supplanted by the Rule of Man, and we who are still subjected to an increasingly tyrannical law are tired of watching the people who claim to rule us ignore the very laws they make.
