I saw this yesterday

And felt my blood pressure spike through the roof.  States weigh letting non-citizens vote.  You want to vote?  Become a citizen.  You don't get to have it both ways.

As Rodger the Real King of France points out.....

Music for a Sunday

For those who don't know, the month of October in the Catholic Church is dedicated to the Rosary, which in it's basic form is a prayer (or prayers, depending on your point of view) said to the mother of Jesus asking for her intercession with her son.  I won't get into the theological aspects of everything on this blog, because to be quite frank I don't know if I'm the best guy to have a theological discussion with.  But when I was the choir director of my chapel, I always wanted to hear "Ave Maria" by Schubert in October.  A simple prayer, set to music.

Ave Maria was set to music by a whole host of different composers, but this one has always been my favorite.

More Democrat Voter Registration Fraud

This time in Colorado.  THIS IS HOW THEY WIN ELECTIONS, PEOPLE!  THEY CHEAT!  In Colorado!  In Wisconsin!  In Arizona!  In Ohio!  In Pennsylvania!  Everywhere across this nation, the Democrat American Communist Party has been outright stealing elections for years, and they are going to continue to do it until they are forcibly stopped!

People either need to start going to jail, or their offices need to be burned to the ground.  You think I'm kidding?  YOU ARE VIOLATING THE RIGHT OF EVERY AMERICAN TO HAVE THEIR VOICE HEARD AT THE BALLOT BOX WHEN YOU COMMIT VOTE FRAUD.

The Juan Williams Kurfluffle

I'm not going to get into what's legal about the whole thing, or any of the other myriad arguments that can be spun off on this.  What I am going to do is use this situation as a way to prove that liberals hate anyone who doesn't think exactly like them, and can't stand it when anyone strays off the plantation.

Look, Williams is a liberal.  But he also worked for Fox News every now and then, only now it's a full time gig, thanks to NPR!  The oh-so-progressive Left can't stand Fox News, and so they found a way to punish Williams for working for them.  NPR is one of the most hyper-partisan media groups in the nation, and it's chock-full o' moonbats on the BEST of days.  They have no problem with advocating controversial positions, so long as those positions are Leftist in nature.  Williams' mistake is that he said what a lot of normal, everyday Americans think.  And NPR can't have that happening on their watch!

I would love to see NPR get de-funded.  I hear George Soros is giving them a million dollars or something like that?  He already funds Media Matters, and I don't see much difference between the two.  Let Daddy George pay their bills.

Yet Another Obamacare Success Story!

Via Insty, the words of a businessman who will no longer be paying his employee's health insurance, due directly to Obamacare.  Yay!

I am not the only employer reaching this conclusion. AT&T, Verizon, Caterpillar and Deere have all contemplated dropping their health benefits as a result of the health reform legislation. About 63 percent of businesses intend to shift a higher percentage of premium costs to employees in 2011, according to a survey recently released by the Washington-based National Business Group on Health. The survey included 72 companies that employ more than 3.7 million people. In most cases, the change will likely be a gradual one rather than an immediate move from fully employer-paid health care to fully employee-paid health care. But, over time, companies around the country will probably reach the same endpoint that I did. It is far easier for a small business owner like me to make a drastic change than it is for a global corporation.

Every time I see someone with an "Obama" bumper sticker, I want to remind them that the train wreck coming our way is due to them being a moron.

Free Checking - gone, thanks to the Donks

And the RINOs who voted for the "Financial Reform Bill", more appropriately known as the "Congress fucking things up worse Bill".

The more I read, the more convinced I am that it's going to take bloodshed to fix things.

Brain droppings

Og posted a video of the Rifleman's Creed from Full Metal Jacket.  Which made me think about the entire scene where DI Hartman is introducing himself to the privates, and giving them names.  Which made me remember my time at the 316th, when I had the Private Cowboy set as the opening sounds on my computer.  I would come in, start up the computer, and for a minute be regaled by Gunny Hartman screaming at Private Cowboy.

Problem is, my commander, a sweet, tender woman who was younger than I was, came strolling into my office right about the time Gunny Hartman is referring to the best part of Private Cowboy.

She just kind of sloooooooowly backed out of the office and didn't come back till lunch.

Intartubes fixed

We had a slight problem with intartube service here at the House of Rage.  It seems to be fixed now.

Yay me.

VFW-PAC: Fired. Good.

When the political action committee refuses to advocate for their base, they deserve to get cut.

Now, as for the situational elements that led to the VFW-PAC endorsing a bunch of rat-fink Democrat traitors in the first place, well, THAT still needs to get fixed.  But I'm glad to see someone losing their jobs over this.

Blog surfing

And finding THIS:

I hate to say it, but I think know the healthcare system is going to implode on itself in the next 15 years (if that).  There are way too many irresponsible people sapping the resources that the responsible people produce.  Nobody cares about their health anymore, and the people that do are the ones paying out the ass for services that cost a truckload to compensate for the loss accrued by the irresponsible.

You may think that I’m blowing smoke out up your ass, but take a look around next time you are in a public place at the amount of morbidly obese people are mouth-breathing around.  Look at their kids and the crap they stuff into their face at an alarming rate.  Its not ignorance thats fueling this, its the simple fact that when push comes to shove they will get treatment without payment.  We are afraid to say “You did this to yourself, you deal with it” because of some bullshit excuse like “its not their fault”.  You may think that sounds uncaring and callous, but take a second out of your candyland outlook and look around you at the people who are pissing their health down the toilet on your dime just because they can.

Read it all.  And understand that without the repeal of Obamacare, it's only going to get worse.

I've got nothing

I'm so damn tired I can't think straight.  I should still be in bed, but I'm up taking care of crap that I can't take care of during the week because there's too much shit to do.

At some point, I'm going to take a vacation where I don't do a damn thing except sleep.

Sultry

Waaaaay back when your not-so-humble narrator was a young buck, I was helping a community theater celebrate their 25th anniversary.  We were singing all the show tunes they had performed over the years with the different musicals from Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, South Pacific, yada yada yada.  One of the songs was "Whatever Lola Wants" from Damn Yankess, and it was performed by a woman who had been with that theater for some time.

If you've ever done a show at a community theater, you'll know the type.  Not old but not young, maybe in her thirties, has a family and kids, grew up acting and thinking she was going to be in Hollywood when she graduated but never quite got there.  Not "pretty" enough to be in film, but more than pretty enough to be on stage.  And she had talent.

I can't remember her name, but she would always come in dressed up in Midwest mother frumpy clothing. You could tell she had a figure, but she never put it on display.

And then the performance came.  The guys did "Nothing like a Dame" from South Pacific.  I did a duet with another woman, "Anything you can do" from Annie Get Your Gun, and then this woman walked on after us and transformed herself into a different creature.  From the opening notes, she stopped walking, and damn near slithered up to the microphone, as if every joint in her body had just been given about two or three new directions they could bend.  She didn't take the microphone, she just touched it with her fingers and leaned into it, with this come-hither smile on her face that made every guy in the place damn near jump out of their suits.  Instead of tapping her toes or bobbing her head to the rhythm, she moved her hip.  Just one.  The other hip stayed firmly in place, which did all kinds of interesting things to her body.  And when she sang the opening lines....  "Whatever Lola wants.....  Lola gets....." every red-blooded man in that building would have begged her to want them, get them.  It was like she wasn't forcing the notes out of her mouth, they just kind of fell out onto the microphone, pushed out by the sheer volume of sexiness that was contained in this one woman's body.  It was a voice that promised every kind of pleasure under the sun, and even more under the moon, where you can shed the inhibitions that you normally hold on to.

This frumpy Midwest mom went from "Meh" to Aphrodite in about five seconds, and had every guy in the place eating from the palm of her hand, from the moment she first sang until she walked off stage, and probably well after that.  And she did it dressed in a black skirt and a blouse that wasn't opened any further than the top of her cleavage.  I think that might have been what convinced me that sex appeal has nothing to do with boobs or butts or revealing clothing.  That woman, for three minutes, was the sexiest woman on the face of the earth, period, full stop, end of story.  And it came from inside, not from her flashing skin.

The only close approximation I've been able to find for this woman is Sarah Vaughn.  But even Sarah Vaughn can't match the sheer amount of pure sex appeal that this woman put into the song.  Still....  don't watch the video, just close your eyes and listen to the song.

By the by, I was reminded of that woman at the theater because someone gave me a Sarah Vaughn CD, and when I heard the opening notes to "Lola Wants" come out of my little boombox at the shop I flashed back to her performance.  Memory is a funny thing sometimes.

Busy day V.4

You know, I don't really get the weekend off, I just don't have to work at that one building I go to all week.

Horse Apples

I've been waiting a bit before I commented on the judge who ruled that Don't Ask Don't Tell was unconstitutional.  I've pondered it a bit, I've scratched my chin, I've thought some more, and I keep coming to the same conclusion.

That judge is just another unelected, unaccountable black robed tyrant who issues judicial fiat like some aristocracy from years ago, and it's bullshit.  Nobody has a Constitutional right to serve in the military.  You have a Constitutional obligation to serve in the unregulated militia if called upon to do so.  But serving in the military isn't a right.

And now some black robed tyrant is going to open up a whole can of worms for the US military, in the pursuit of political correctness.  Hey, did anyone ask the military THEIR FUCKING OPINION?  Well yes, but our opinion doesn't mean shit when it gets in the way of social policy, right?  Fuck the military.  Fuck the troops.  They don't matter, they don't count, there's a social experiment to be performed!  They should just shut up and do what they're told!

Oh, and by the way, I'll still get arrested if I try to shower with the females.  But gay men can shower with me.  Tell me, all you oh so tolerant people out there, is that fair?  Is it fair that someone who is sexually attracted to men gets to see my naked ass, but I can't ogle the ladies?  I mean, that's what this whole deal is about, right?  FAIRNESS.  It's not FAIR that homosexuals can't serve in the military.  It's not FAIR that the military discriminates against gays.  And people with bad eyesight, and people with bad hearing, and people who are overweight, and people who have significant medical problems, but all those other groups don't carry favorite victim status and so they don't really count on the FAIRNESS scale.  What's next for the military?  Seeing-eye dogs, so that blind folks can serve as well?  Well no, that's ridiculous.  But objecting to having to bunk with someone who's sexually attracted to men?  OH MY GOD YOU HOMOPHOBIC BASTARD!  YOU KNUCKLEDRAGGING REDNECK HILLBILLY!

It's bullshit.  And it's going to cause more problems that it solves.  But who cares, right?  It's only the military, and they don't carry favorite victim status either.

Gallery. Opened.

Last night.  It was a "soft" open, which means no ribbon cutting, no fanfare, no nekkid dancing women.  That'll all come next month during the "grand" opening, which might be when Dave hits the champagne and dances around the gallery with a lampshade on his head.

In an artistic fashion.

Hey hey HEY!

I happen to like Pocatello!  We don't need a bunch of hippies moving there and smelling the place up!

Morning Run

I had grown so accustomed to running in the afternoon that I forgot the solitude of a morning run at 0530.  Nobody out on the road.  No exhaust fumes.  No cigarette smoke from people hanging out at bars, or blowing it out of their car window as you run by.

Just quiet.  It was rather nice.

Granted, most days I need the run in the afternoon, just to burn off all the stored up energy from not choking the living shit out of certain people in my office.  But still, it was a nice run this morning.

There's a reason we call them "Moonbats"

Rodger the Real King of France highlights this piece at the American Thinker by J.R. Dunn that is a patented "Must Read".

Leftists really believed that Obama embodied their moment. Obama held all the cards -- majorities in both houses, a slavish press that viewed him as no less than a godling, an enthusiastic public, even an acquiescent international establishment, overlooking a few holdouts such as Kim and Ahmadinejad. No left-of-center president has had a smoother road before him -- not FDR, not Lyndon Johnson. Yet Obama's efforts amount to utter failure -- not because of opposition from the "party of no," not because of circumstances, not because of sabotage, but because of Obama's "success" itself. He got the bills passed, guaranteed that their execution would be in the hands of extraconstitutional figures beholden only to him, and got them funded by means both legal and illegal. All of it was put into play with a smoothness that only Chicago thuggery combined with socialist chicanery could accomplish. He launched them, and they crashed, and they burned.

(.....)

But today they have a problem -- several, in point of fact. The first is that the memory hole has in large part been filled in over the past decade and a half by such things as the internet and the New Media. It's no longer a simple matter to shove nationwide failures out of sight. It may not even be possible.

The second is the fact that this time, they bet the house. They put everything down on Obama. Because it had to work. Because the third time was the charm. Because O was the messiah. And now they're sitting in the casino dead broke, without another dime to lay on the table, and through the doorway they can hear the shouts of the people whose money they embezzled.

There's more, much more, and you need to read the whole thing.  And then go buy ammo, because as much as I hope Dunn is correct, I can't say for sure that he is.  The Socialist Utopia that the Left pines for will never come about, but history shows that the Left will continue killing people in their quest to make it happen.

Buy ammo.  No, buy MORE ammo.

Yes.

Eat First

When you read just how many self identified Socialists are in our state governments, you're gonna lose your appetite.  That's a list of people at the state level who have signed a letter supporting Obamacare.

I've had Mind-Numbed Robot in my personal list for a while, but he's going on the blogroll.

Google searching

To the Brazilian who came here with the google search term: "supremacy female fart sniffer", I hope you found what you were looking for.

Or maybe not.  Wow.

The Phrase of the Day

Femisogynists.  No, I didn't make it up but I'm going to use the hell out of it.  I'm certain you all know what a misogynist is, yes?

misogynist |məˈsäjÉ™nist|nouna man who hates women.adjectivereflecting or inspired by a hatred of women misogynist attitude.DERIVATIVESmisogynistic |məˌsäjəˈnistik| adjective

Well, for every misogynist like Jerry Brown out there, there's a woman who acts just the same way.  Hatred of real women comes from both genders.  I'm certain the Ragin' Mrs., were she on the national stage, would be the target of slurs and insults just like Sarah Palin is, or Ann Coulter.  And those insults would come from both genders.  Because liberal men cannot stand a woman with values, and liberal women cannot stand a woman who is both more feminine than they are, and yet stronger and more independent than they are at the same time.

Femisogynist.  A woman of Left-leaning persuasion, who hates real women.  Learn it.  USE IT.

Another Obamacare Success Story!

Catholic Hospitals?  Closing.

“Health care reform is absolutely playing a role. Was it the precipitating factor in this decision? No, but was it a factor in our planning over the next five years? Absolutely,” Cook added.

Enjoy that "free" health care in a government run slaughterhouse!

Burn your VFW cards

Blackfive has the reasons.  I was considering joining the VFW, but this has made my mind up to refuse them.

This Ain't Hell has the list of other political parasites that the VFW is supporting:

So, of course, i went to the (PDF) list of candidates that VFW_PAC is supportingand I find they’re also supporting Barbara Boxer, Alcee Hastings, Barbara Lee, Steny Hoyer, Barbara Mikulsky, Chris VanHollen, John Dingell, Chuckie Schumer, Pat Leahy and Patty Murray – it’s like a Who’s Who of the folks who have tried to screw the troops and have contributed to the lengthening of the war in the east.

Oh.  Fuck.  No.  Barbra Boxer?  "CALL ME SENATOR" BABS BOXER?

Fuck the VFW.

Red Curtain of Blood

So, I'm reading the account of this White House insider, who is asking just what the hell have we done, and I get to this paragraph right here, where some Democrat American Communist Party member is worried because his support for Obamacare might cost him his job, and...  well, here:

The gist of it was this – they were told to drop it.  They were told to, exact words here – “worry about your own campaign and don’t expect the White House to hold your hand over this.”  Well, they were upset right?  Just hearing about it made me absolutely furious.  This is a person’s career, their life here.  Now that answer wasn’t good enough so they pushed it a bit further – suggested the president could do some town meetings and answer questions about the bill, alleviate all the concerns and fight back against the conservative chatter that was being put out there.  Guess what they were told regarding that?  They were asked one question – did they read the bill?  This Congressperson admitted they hadn’t.  Like a lot of them, they had voted for it, but hadn’t read it.  That was a mistake, sure, but the thing is over 2000 pages, right? Well, after admitting they didn’t read the bill they are told in a laughing way mind you, “That’s ok – neither has the president, so you can’t expect him to take on a bunch of town meetings on it, right?”  So that was it.  Nice, huh?  Bye-bye, thanks for playing, and good luck with the -explitive- storm coming your way this summer.

Now, I want you to think about how much power this bill has, and how much it will affect Americans.  And the people responsible for it, and the damned jackass who signed it, didn't even bother to read it.

I think that anyone who had a hand in the passing of Obamacare who didn't read the bill needs to be tarred, feathered, ridden out of town on a rail, banned from politics at any level, and jailed for no less than ten years.  And I only say that because I'm trying to be a nicer person, and so I cannot recommend pulling their guts out through their asshole and leaving their corpses to feed the coyotes.

Now, you can go read the rest of the article.  This buy is basically having a pity party for himself, and his sweet, sweet tears are a thing of joy to me.  But it's clear that he doesn't get it.  At one point he complains that the media won't report on who and what Obama really is.  NO SHIT SHERLOCK!  That's how the fucking assclown got elected in the first place!  And you were perfectly happy with it as long as it helped your side!

Gah.  It's too early in the morning for this.  I need coffee.

Civics Test

It comes around every year in one form or another.  I got 32 out of 33 right, and I missed that one questions because my dumb as didn't read the answer correctly.  Feel free to take it yourself.  And then have your kids take it and see if they can pass it.  THAT is where the real danger is.

There was a rally Saturday?

Oh, right, that "One Nation" bologna that Ed Schultz put on.  The crowd size was, as far as I can tell from pictures, minimal and made up of bussed in union twerps.  I say twerps because of the sheer amount of trash and crap that they left behind.  It seems that no matter the location or context, Leftists will litter and trash any place they inhabit, no matter how small the time.  And someone else always has to clean up the mess.

Of course, if it weren't for the trash and litter, would anyone even remember that this "rally" took place?

Do we need more teachers?

Not just no but HELL NO.

If you aren't reading The Smallest Minority on a daily basis (and why the hell aren't you?) you've been missing Kevin Baker's essays on "education" in this country, and why it is failing.  It's failure is NOT a mistake, people.  It's failure is hard-written into the code of the public education system in this country.  If you want to handicap your child from day one, just send them to public school.

Build. The. Damn. Wall.

And I don't give a shit how many poor widdle Mexican Mayors are crying about all those violent Mexicans we keep sending back to Mexico.  At this point I think we need to set up sniper towers along the US/Mexico border and engage in some Mexican-Style Immigration Enforcement.  Remember, that's when Mexico SHOOT PEOPLE who try to enter their country illegally.

It's either that, or just invade the shithole and turn it into another territory.  Because they all seem to want to come up here anyways.

Herbs

We had warning of a hard freeze last night, so yesterday afternoon the Ragin' Mrs. and I spent a good portion of time pulling in everything from the garden that we could harvest.  Tomatos, squash, beans, and herbs.  We'd been harvesting and drying them for a little while, but yesterday we pulled everything we could out of the garden before the frost killed it.  So I currently have hanging in my kitchen some thyme, oregano, rosemary, dill, and two huge bunches of sage.

We also racked our batch of mead - meaning we transferred it from it's primary fermentation container to it's secondary fermentation container, where it will sit for about a month until it's ready to bottle.  As we were transferring it over, we tested it with a hydrometer to make sure of where the alcohol levels were at - it's approximately 15%, which is about where you want it to be.  But it's still sweet like mead should be; while we were working with it we could smell it; it was like ripe apples.  Good stuff.

And then I got to watch the Packers barely beat the Lions, while my Seahawks were getting assraped by St. Louis.

Sigh.

Another Obamacare Success Story!

Principal Financial will no longer sell health insurance due to Obamacare mandates.

The Democrats don't care.  Congresscritters and their families get a gold-standard health care package, paid for by the rubes and idiots who keep voting them in.  Remember, forcing people to depend on the government is the GOAL of Obamacare, not an "unintended consequence".

Working Day v.3

We're putting the artist studio up and running.  It was supposed to be open yesterday, but we just didn't have the people or the time to put it together.  We have to build tables, displays, etc. etc. etc., do some painting, and various other tasks that nobody ever thinks about.

So....  see ya later!

Down the road to Hell

Hey, I hope you all enjoy your government health care!  Especially when you're denied the treatment you need!  Maybe when your family is dying inside a government run charnel house people will finally get the hint.

Tired

Sometimes, you just get tired of fighting for what you need.  Sometimes, you just get tired of fighting sheer stupidity.  I'm frigging tired right now, and it has nothing to do with the blog.  There's a lot of personal crap going on right now, and sometimes all I just want to do is tell the world to go fuck itself.  With a few people in particular high on my list of fuck-off-itude.  Problem is, you can't really do that in the military.  So fuck it.  If I seem a bit off, now you know why.

Gobsmacked

I remember a while ago reading Francis Porretto discuss how a citizen's submission to the rule of law is the alternative to violence, and if the rule of law fails, a citizen's recourse is ........  violence in some form or another.

At this point, I'm feeling very, very violent.  SEIU, ACORN and Houston Votes need to be beaten.  Physically.  Until dead.  And then maybe people might just get the idea that you don't commit vote fraud.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

The term is "projection"

Kos the twiterpated fuckhead is saying that us evil wingnutz is gettin' all prepared fer violence.

Now, if by "preparing for violence" you mean getting ready for the attacks, vandalism, hate crimes, slander, lies, and riots that spew from the Left every election season since I can remember, then yes, we're getting prepared.  Ever since I could vote there has been Leftist violence leading up to the election, because the political doctrines that the Left follows are inherently fascist, and fascism uses violence to get power.

But if by "preparing for violence" you mean that we're gearing up to actually CAUSE the violence?  Then that just proves that you haven't been paying attention, and you're nothing more than some narcotics addled dipshit with a podium and a microphone.  Yeah, that "Restoring Honor" rally was sooooooo violent that they left the D.C. mall cleaner than they found it!  Oooooooo, those violent thugs!

Sheesh.  Kos the Fuckhead is projecting the Left's violent act on the Right and screaming that it's all about us.  Give me a break.

And Again v.4

The Media is NOT YOUR FRIEND!  Lying with numbers is still lying!  And once again, the MSM shows that they are nothing more than the Democrat Party Propaganda Machine, bought and paid for, unwilling and unable to do any actual reporting, but more than content to carry water for their Democrat masters and string-pullers.

Every newspaper in America could go down in flames and I wouldn't care.

Well, my Broncos won

But I would have been happier if they had slapped Oregon State's dick in the dirt.  More than anything, I want Boise State to crash the BSC.  My football dream would be to have Boise State and TCU playing in the BSC Championship game, while all the big conferences are on the outside looking in, a victim of the system that they designed to keep teams like Boise State and TCU out.  The BCS system is a giant crock of shit, and too many of the big conference teams refuse to play someone like BSU or TCU because they're afraid of getting their ass whupped.  But their conferences don't force them to play BSU or TCU, so they get to sit back and smugly talk about how those teams couldn't POSSIBLY win in their conference.

Bull.  Shite.  BSU has put the offer out - they'll play anyone, anytime, on that team's home turf.  And whoever accepts their offer doesn't even have to schedule a game at Boise, which is a normal concession in scheduling these games.  You know how many big teams have taken them up on it?  Zero.  You want to know why?  Because the big teams know that Boise State could kick their ass.

GO BRONCOS!

Fall is here

Officially and unofficially.  Temps are getting lower, and it's positively cool out there this morning.  I need to get what veggies I can out of the garden before the first frost.  And harvest whatever herbs I want to dry.  Of course, if the wind would stop knocking all my tomatoes off the vine before they're ripe I'd be getting a hell of a lot MORE of those.

Ah well....  tomato sauce.

Friday, September 24, 2010

Oh Damn

Is this an impeachable offense?

I knew Obama played the race card from day one in his quest for power.  But there's a difference between playing the race card, and being a racist.  I think we've just been shown that Obama, and his administration, is racially biased against anyone with white skin.

And filed under "The More You Keep Digging" tab....

This is a bombshell allegation coming from a current attorney within the DOJ, who is testifying, it should be noted, in direct defiance to orders from his superiors at the DOJ, who have generally obstructed the work of the Commission. Coates’ allegations also corroborate those made earlier by former U.S. Attorney J. Christian Adams, who resigned his post in order to blow the whistle on the Obama DOJ’s reprehensible policy with regards to civil rights cases.
If the Obama Administration does not take immediate action to address these allegations, this is going to blow up into a major issue leading into November. Honestly, I cannot imagine how Attorney General Eric Holder survives this.

I hope Holder does NOT survive this - if he has to resign, there's one less racist with a job in D.C.

Day Two of the Sickness

Slept much better last night, fever broke, and now I'm just coughing up some crud.  I should be back on my feet tomorrow.  Thank God.  I hate just sitting around, it drives me nuts.  I don't do well with boredom, as any of my co-workers can tell you, especially when they go on leave and I fill their cube with hundreds of balloons.

Come to think of that, she's on leave yet again.  I think I'll gift wrap her entire cube this time.

Unreal

Over at C&S I found this little tidbit regarding health care insurance rate hikes.

Sebelius told National Journal Editorial Director Ronald Brownstein that the coming rate hikes will be “substantial” – but added, “It has little to do with passage of the [Patient Protection and Affordable Care] Act and more to do with the marketplace.”

"More to do with the marketplace"....  Think about that.  This administration and it's flunkies cannot figure out that taking over the health care system in this country causes the markets to react.  They literally cannot connect the economic dots.  They literally refuse to see how the actions of the government affect anything.

These people shouldn't be allowed anywhere near anything requiring a third-grade education, because they obviously are not at that level, and it would take years of education to get them there.

And another Obamacare success story - Major health insurance companies are dropping their children-only plans!  I hope everyone enjoys their free health care!

Hell, I could have told you that

75% of all potential recruits are too fat, too sickly, or too dumb for military service.

The armed services are willing to grant waivers for some of those conditions – asthma, or a little bit of weed. But the military’s biggest concern is how big and how weak its potential recruits have become.

Unfortunately, from my viewpoint it looks like about half of those who are too fat to serve still get to enlist, and they go into the Army Reserves, where they get to walk around the PX in their uniform looking like a giant overstuffed bag of smashed assholes.

Chest Crud

Got some sort of crap in my chest that Musinex can't seem to shake off.  Slept like crap last night because I kept coughing.  Not happy.

Tats

Dick has a very NSFW photo of a girl with some ink in her skin, and the prevailing theme is that the tats ruined what was a very beautiful girl.

I'm forced to agree with them.  Because quite frankly, the tats suck.  They're the kind of trendy, show your 20 year old boyfriend "Look!  I got your band's mascot tattooed on my arm!" kind of crap.  When I have people ask my opinions about tattoos, and always say to them "Imagine you're sixty or seventy years old.  That skin is sagging, the tattoo is faded, nothing looks the way it used to.  Now can you tell your grandkids just why you got that tattoo, and more importantly, is it still going to be relevant when your sixty or seventy?  If the answer isn't a definite "Yes" without hesitation, then don't get that tat."

My favorite line about tattoos came from a Seattle writer who pointed out that all those trendy "Bush Sucks" tattoos are going to end up saying "Buy Socks" when said tattoo canvas enters it's sixth decade.  And yes, I have tats.  And yes, I'll be able to explain them when I'm sixty.

Saw this on Instapundit

Along with this big scary warning from some food safety guy:

This raw milk trend is very dangerous development. I spent 25 years in the food industry responsible for food safety, There is no way I would let anyone I care about drink raw milk. There are no benefits to raw milk consumption and no dangers in pasteurization. If a large dairy introduced raw milk into the food supply, they would be in front of Congress taking a beating that would make the Toyota hearings look like a walk in the park.
Please let your readers know that raw milk is not “healthy” but is extremely dangerous.

If I may be so bold - ahem - this guy can go piss up a rope.  Drinking raw milk is dangerous?  So is eating raw steak, and yet I still see Steak Tartar being prepared.  Eating raw fish is dangerous, and sushi is still huge in America.  Riding a motorcycle is dangerous, and yet I still see plenty of bikes on the road.

Life is dangerous.  Freedom involves risk, and if some people out there want to drink raw milk no damned food nanny should be able to tell them "No".  And since the people who drink raw milk are finding ways to do it, why should anyone stop them?

As for me, I think that selling raw milk could lead to much better cheese in this country, which I wholeheartedly support.  Because I'm cheesy like that.

PSA of the day

This is for the guys out there, so all you gals can skip this post.

Men - When you step up to the urinal in a public restroom, you may notice that there's a small protrusion in the well of the urinal, almost as if they are designed for you to straddle, the better to catch your piss.

That's because they ARE designed like that.

So why don't you do me and the rest of the world a favor, step up to the pisser, and piss IN the urinal instead of ALL OVER THE DAMNED FLOOR!!!!!!  And if your gut is too fucking big for you to see your own damn dick, then either grow a bigger dick or find a way to piss IN the damn urinal without your normal aiming point!  And if your gut is too fucking big for you to even find your dick, PUT THE FORK DOWN!  Or sit on the damn toilet so that I don't have to deal with your inability to piss in a porcelain pot!

I'm sick and tired of walking into a restroom in a building supposedly filled with civilized human beings and having to find a way to NOT step in the puddles of piss that some nasty fucking shitheel has so kindly left behind.  That's fucking gross.  At that point why don't you just go piss on a tree outside, you barbarian!

Back on your heads!

I'm sure you've heard the old joke about the guy who visits heaven and hell, and chooses hell because Heaven is people standing in shit up to their waist, and hell is people standing around in shit up to their knees.  So he chooses hell because it looks like less shit, only once his choice is made, Satan comes in and says "Break's over everyone!  Back on your heads!"

Yeah.

BACK ON YOUR HEADS!

The Weekend. Saturday. FOOTBALL!

And Hodge is here!  Which means I'm not going to be spending much time on the computer.

So enjoy this video, which I've stolen from Viral Footage.  If you're going to ride a mechanical bull, you may want to wear something else other than a white thong and miniskirt.  But that's just me.  Maybe she enjoyed having every guy in the bar stare at her ass.

I know that there are people who go into hysterics at the thought of burning books, or doing something like this, and I can understand their train of thought.  However, we are at war with Islam.  If you don't believe me on that, just listen to the translations of speeches by people like Imam Rauf as they build their victory mosque on the graves of thousands of Americans murdered by Islam.

I hope they get pissed off.  They want to impose Shar'ia law on us.  We need to let them know that we will not submit.

Home again

Have I mentioned just how much I loathe the city of Chicago?  I have?  Let me repeat myself then.  I would tell Chicago to go to hell, but since Chicago already IS hell there wouldn't be much of a change.  What a miserable fucking town.  There's not a thing there that I would shed a tear for if God dropped an asteroid on it.

O'Donnell in Delaware

While Dick is busy masturbating to Christine O'Donnell's photograph, I have a little message for every person who is busy claiming that O'Donnell can't win in Delaware.

Scott Brown won in Massatwoshits.  Chris Christy won in New Jersey.  NEW FUCKING JERSEY.  And while Brown isn't some conservative god, he's so much better than that fucking drunken murderer Kennedy that it's not funny.  And while all the malcontents and ne'rdowells are crying about how a conservative can't win in Delaware, Chris FUCKING Christy is wiping the damn floor with the Democrat American Communist Party and their union thugs in New Jersey.

The same people who are saying O'Donnell can't win are the same people who said Christy couldn't win, and who said Brown couldn't win.  They are the same people who dumped DeDe Scozzafava on New York.  Do you understand what a colossal failure that was?  Scozzafava was further to the Left than the Democrat, and she was totally rejected by the voters of New York 23.  In the meantime, Doug Hoffman, the actual conservative that the GOP and RNC trashed, insulted, and attempted to beat down, ended up running as a conservative independent and damn near won the election on a shoestring budget and no help from The Stupid Party.

But "They" said Hoffman couldn't win.  Just like "They" said Christy couldn't win.  Just like "They" said Brown couldn't win.  And if Hoffman had gotten ANY fucking support from the lying sacks of shit who claim to represent conservative values in this country, Hoffman WOULD have won.

"They", the establishment Republicans, who are nothing more than Democrats in sheep's clothing, are a bunch of gutless, spineless, fucking worthless pussies who would have this country drink it's poison in small sips while they lie and delude themselves that a long, slow death is somehow better than a quick one.  The same people who say O'Donnell can't win are the same people who have betrayed conservatives time and time and time again, and they can go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.  If the GOP refuses to back O'Donnell, the the GOP needs to die.  Just go fucking die and save this country the trouble of shooting the fucking traitorous sons of bitches like the dogs they are.

Support conservatives.  Support O'Donnell.  Or go get fucked, because you're part of the problem, not the solution.

Dear Hotel People

When you leave cards all over the hotel room, stating "Please Help Us Conserve!  A Towel on the floor means 'Please Replace'.  A towel on the rack means 'I will use again', and I leave the towel on the rack, and you replace it anyways?

What the hell is up with that?

Chicago

I'm in my own little person hell here.  I just spend several hours in traffic in Chicago, during the summer/fall, and there's construction cones and barrels everywhere, the roads are crap, the lanes are cut in half, it's gridlocked all to hell, the speedlimits are slashed, people are assholes, and there isn't a single fucking construction crew to be seen.  Hey dickweeds - if I have to spend hours on the road because of your shitty fucking construction zones, how about you worthless fuckwits actually do some construction?  Hmmmmm?????

Add on to that a sky high sales tax rate, corruption everywhere, pollution, and general idiocy....  god I hate this city.  Chicago could fall into the ninth pit of hell and other than a few people I wouldn't shed a tear.

Chicago sucks so hard that I'm amazed Lake Michigan isn't drained dry.

When Obama was elected, he offered Satan his house for a couple of years.  Satan said, and I quote, "I don't want to live in that shithole!"

Have I mentioned that I hate Chicago?  If I never returned to this hellhole I would be happy.

My Seahawks won?

*faint*

Hmmmmm....

I wonder if this is why Fiorina didn't get much love from the GOP?  More and more, the GOP is the party of big-government, entrenched incumbents, massive spending and class warfare.

In short, they're the Democrats, only they lie about it.

The real power this year is in the up-and-coming challengers.  Vote out an incumbent today!

Emergency Plumbing

The bathroom sink had a boo-boo yesterday.  It's rather disconcerting to wash your hands and feel water hitting your toes.  But it was an el cheapo vanity sink that we didn't like to begin with and planned to replace sooner or later, so the Ragin' Mrs. went off to find a sink she DID like.

I stayed home.  I don't get in the way of these things.  Home design?  Not me.

She brought home the biggest pedestal sink I've ever seen.  We had to make one more trip to get hoses, because the ones we had were two inches too small.  But now we have a fully functioning sink.  About a quarter of the vinyl in the bathroom is peeled back because the old sink had been leaking for a while and the flooring was wet.  We've got a fan on it.

So that was my yesterday.  How was yours?

Serenity - Those Who Cannot Remember The Past

Mike of Cold Fury - The Religion of Fascist Murder

Please note, if you will, the Muslims dancing in celebration.  But gosh, Islam is a "religion of peace".

What is today?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Today is the day that our countrymen died at the hands of Islamic terrorists.  It wasn't the first attack.  It wasn't the last attack.  But it was the attack that finally got our attention.  And ever since that attack, we've been told to ignore it and go back to our lives.  They won't show it on TV.  They won't show photos of it.  They ask "Is 9-11 over yet?"  Or "Is Al-Queda over-rated?"  They will refuse to do anything to prevent another attack like September 11th.

But this country doesn't forget those things too easily.

Never forget.  Never surrender.  Never submit.

Border Crossings and Border States

I recently discussed going into Mexico with some people I knew went at least annually. Instead of driving down they now fly into Cancoon as was told to me that taking a car with American plates into Mexico makes you a huge target for the Cartels.

More recently I received a report on the Nuevo Loredo Cartel battle on 16 July 2010. It was really gruesome. They use road blocking, tactical vest, radios and similar shoes for friend recognition. Not only did most everyone have dump pouches but their rifle stocks were heavily modified and had tactical slings. The rifles found were mostly M-4's. There was an HE Grenade, though no launcher was found.
This is the last page of the report:
Nuevo Laredo Cartel Battle, 16 July 2010Cartel Tactics Analysis For Ranger
Law Enforcement Take-aways
•Sustained a 2+ hour, multi-location firefight… willingness to continue the fight
•Incident(s) were pre-planned…
•Stolen support vehicles as a roadblock and ram to disable target vehicles
•Surveillance
•Appear to be using common shoe as friendly force identification
•Homemade stocks on multiple weapons… could indicate breakdown for smuggling
•Evidence of common tactical web gear (bulk purchase?), use of vests, gear was personalized and adjusted for the shooter showing level of familiarity and training

Even though I do not live in a border state, I have family that does. This really scares me. Living in an amnesty state I question if we could see that up here. This is why I am happy not to live in a big city.

If you want the adobe document with the pictures email me a request I and I forward it to you.

the Raging Mrs.

DADT again

So a judge in California rules DADT to be unconstitutional.

Anyone surprised?  If there's any state that we can expect a black-robed tyrant to hand out politically correct judgements against all better sense, it's California.

Now, for those who want to repeal DADT, when are you going to agitate for me to sleep with and shower with the women?  Hmmmmmmm?  Anyone?  C'mon, all you moms and dads out there, I want, nay, I HAVE THE RIGHT to be naked right next to your daughters while they soap up their womanly bits.   And I'm certain that I can find a judge who says that military readiness has been damaged by me not being allowed to share a room with young women!

What?  You mean that's not allowed?  Why not?

Here's the fact that everyone in favor of repealing DADT is refusing to deal with - There's a reason I can't shower or bunk with women in the Army.  And it's the very same reason we cannot allow open homosexuality in the Army.  Sexual dynamics hurt military readiness, no matter what some brain-dead judge in California thinks.  The very same morals and social mores that make it unacceptable for men and women to bunk together in the military are the same reasons to not allow a homosexual man to bunk with a straight man, or two homosexual men to bunk together.  There is no one out there who can make a serious argument that bunking men and women together in combat is going to increase readiness.  And yet they are going to put the Army into that very situation, with one gender reversed, in order to satisfy political correctness and ideological purity, and they don't care who gets hurt in the end.

Between this and the newest rumblings about how the US spends too much on it's military.......  I hope everyone has enjoyed the military dominance we've had in the past.  Because it's about to be over.

My Take on the Koran Burning

Which is now on hold anyways.

I note that around the world, Muslims have no problem burning the American flag, effigies of Americans, and anything America related.  Now, none of those things have religious connotations, so we're not exactly talking apples to apples on this.  However at this point, I think it's less important what we burn, and more important to push the message that we will not allow the acts of 7th century barbarians to push us around.

Am I going to burn a Koran?  No.  Do I support it?

Yes.

Because the basic message of burning a Koran is that we will not submit to Islam, and we will not back down.  And that's one message I don't hear often enough.  Sometimes just pissing off the right people is what you have to do.  Maybe when you can openly carry a Bible in Saudi Arabia, then I'll worry about their sensibilities.  Until then?  I think that civilian hostility to a barbaric, moon-god worshipping, woman abusing, blood-thirsty murderous cult is just fine.  I don't have a problem with it.

Back Home

Phoenix has one of the best airports I've ever had to spend time in.  Granted, I never really enjoy sitting at an airport, but if I have to do it, Phoenix ain't bad.

Beats Chicago any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

No I wouldn't burn a Koran...

The same MainStreamMedia that wouldn't report the truth about the fraudulent manufactured outrage behind the Cartoon-i-fada are lecturing us about Koran burning? Aren't these the same people calling Blue-haired Tea Partiers "Nazis" while ignoring the vandalism and violence of the Leftists? Remember the false claims of Koran burning and all of the resulting violent thuggishness in the name of Islam? Haven't we paid this ticket in advance?

What about our outrage that protesters burn an American flag? You know... child-targeting terror bombers like President Barack Hussein Obama's good friend Bill Ayers who dedicated his own book to the Palestinian terrorist Sirhan Sirhan who gunned down Bobby Kennedy and named his own children for Pali-Arab terror bombers. Remember Bill Ayers picture on the front page of the NYTimes on 9/11:

So I wouldn't burn a Koran, but I'll defend the rights of those who would, because being stupid is clearly an inalienable right, or there wouldn't be (D)emocrats.

I've got an idea... lets just roll over and all convert to Islam. Then if some woman in comfortable shoes ignores me I can put a bag over her head and beat her, or even rape her because "hey, she wanted it" is a clearly codified Sha'aria defense to the crime as her testimony is insufficient evidence that she is anything but a harlot. Oh... and lets hang some gays every Friday in the public square because we all know pedophilia should be kept behind closed doors at the local Mosque.

Does the 7th century sound good to you? Because if Bill Ayers walks on a Koran we just do a Van Gogh on him.

Or did the MainStreamMedia succeed in preventing you from knowing who that is?

That is the point. All cultures are not equal. Some are actually primitive.

And flag burners aren't brave... they just know they don't live in a 7th century culture.

In Wisconsin.  Shouldn't they be able to deal with this stuff here?

Too Close

Boise State wins at Virginia Tech, 33-30.  BSU is probably going to be my one bright spot in sports this year.  Seahawks?  Nope.  Mariners?  Nope.  Wazzu?  Nope.

GO BRONCOS!

Labor Day

In celebration of the Communist Holiday (I mean, c'mon!  Labor Day?  And you celebrate it by not working?) I'm going to can some food in preparation of the coming government-sponsored food shortage.  So we're canning carrots and tomato sauce.  And then I'll mow the lawn.  If the Obama administration has it's way, we'll be eating grass clippings in a while, so I'd better save them while I can.

You can tell how successful you are

By how hard the Left tries to destroy you.

If George Washington were still alive right now, the Democrat American Communist Party would be sending out assassination squads to kill him.

One Rule in Politics

The Left will blame the Right for everything, up to and including Communism, Fascism, and Socialism.

Ace uncorks.

In the meantime, I just want to point out that all the violence as of late has come from the Left.

Obama the idiot

Imagine the screeching that would emanate from the Left if this had happened under Bush.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” According media reports, this quote keeping Obama company on his wheat-colored carpet is from King.
Except it’s not a King quote. The words belong to a long-gone Bostonian champion of social progress. His roots in the republic ran so deep that his grandfather commanded the Minutemen at the Battle of Lexington.
For the record, Theodore Parker is your man, President Obama.

This is just another example of the biased, unfair treatment that Bush got from the Media and from the Left.  For eight years all we heard about was "BUSH IS AN IDIOT!  BUSH IS A MORON!"  Every tiny mistake he made was held up as proof of his idiocy, and even his speeches were waved like some moronic flag.

But Obama has the wrong quote attributed to MLK Jr., supposedly one of his heros, and....  nothing.

Obama says that he's been to 57 states?  Nothing.

Obama says crap like:  "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today – our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."  and.....  nothing from the Press!  What a shock!

Obama with a teleprompter is a smooth operator, but take his precious teleprompter away and he's a stuttering jackass.  Uh, uh, uh, um, hem, uh....

Obama is a fucking idiot.  But according to the Left, it was Bush who was the dumb one.  Which is just another reason to never trust the media in this country again.

Dude!

I missed International Bacon Day?  Well then!

Let me remind you that my wife cooks this lovely, delicious creation for me and my friends!  Oh yes, it is good.  It started out as just cheese and bacon, but the Ragin' Mrs. did look at it, and verily she did say "Needs Eggs", which no less than a Colonel hath stated were the two most romantic words in that situation.

Besides, we had pork steaks last night, grilled over apple wood.  And it was good.

Oh, and because of the Ragin' Mrs. allergies, we now make our own bacon.  Because we're that damn dedicated to good bacon.

Sea-Tac Airport

Still sucks.  Although I would like to thank American Airlines for getting my luggage to me as quickly as they did, considering that the TSA at SeaTac left it sitting in their screening area after a power outage shut down their screening equipment.

Crap like this is why people stop flying.  Unfortunately for me I don't have a choice.  But I now drive everywhere I can, just to avoid the stupid crap with the TSA and various other agencies.

Best line I heard yesterday

I think it was Mark Levin on the radio - "Doesn't anyone else notice that whatever Obama touches turns to crap?"

August

I think that August was a completely crappy month for everyone I know personally.  Between family drama, medical emergencies, life just seemed to take a crap on my friends and family last month.

Anyone else out there happy that August is over?

Travel

Whereupon I cram myself into a long metal tube and allow someone else to rocket me through the skies, while I try to get comfortable in a small, hard seat that I must sit in for hours.

You know, I used to enjoy this stuff.

1 in 6 Americans on the dole

I'm sure you've all seen this report, showing 18% of our population living off of government funds.  There are going to be plenty of people talking about it, discussing it, analyzing it, yada yada yada.  My only comment is this - do you really think those people are going to vote for smaller government?

No, they are not.  Which is the whole point.  Those people are consistently going to vote Democrat, because that's the party that prefers government-owned slaves to free, independent citizens.

Paris Hilton arrested for cocaine

Is anyone surprised?  Anyone?  That skanked out, herpes-encrusted crack whore has shoved more powder up her nose than Keith Richards.  She's a picture perfect example of what happens when gobs of money meet the absence of responsibility.

Simple Answers to Complex Questions

Every now and then I see a blog title that asks a question, and my brain launches forth a snarky answer before I even read the post.  That doesn't stop me from reading said post, but it does make for some interesting inter-cranial dialogue.  Today's post title comes from Gay Patriot - Why isn't Sarah Palin a feminist icon?  My answer:  Because Palin denounces the "OH PLEASE NANNY GOVERNMENT TAKE CARE OF ME BECAUSE I CAN'T DO IT MYSELF" mentality that liberal feminism demands.  She stands on her own two feet and expects others to do the same.

And the liberals can't stand that.

Saturday Night

I'd seen a burger/sammich somewhere on the intartubes, probably at Curmudgeonly & Skeptical, and just had to try it.  So I brought the idea up to the Ragin' Mrs., we spoke with some friends, and we came up with dinner for Saturday night.

That, my friends, is a bacon cheeseburger (with home-made bacon!) between two grilled cheese sammiches.  With home made bread.

And yes, it was DAMN good.

I won't even get into what we had for dessert.  I will just say that I think I gained fifty pounds this weekend, and now have to run my ass off.

Range time

Sighted in my Mossberg 30-06 yesterday.  First ten rounds felt fine.  Rounds 11-15 hurt a bit.  Rounds 16-20 flat out stung.  I'd forgotten just how much kick a 30-06 had.  I got the scope dialed in, so I can tag Bambi when the time comes.  But the last round I fired I flinched.  Gotta work on that.  Also, the trigger is stiff.  If finances allow, I'll take it to a gunsmith and have it lightened up a bit.  If not, well, I'm not taking any deer past 100 yards anyways, not in the Wisconsin woods.  Hell, I might not take any shots past fifty yards depending on where I hunt.

The shoulder is still a bit sore this morning.  But there's nothing like the satisfaction of watching a clay pidgeon explode at 100 yards.

Also, need a good hunting stick to shoot from.  I'll see what the wood lot here in town has for staves, and put a "V" top on it.

Gutless Surrender Monkey Claims Credit for Victory

The fact that this stuttering Marxist jackass is even claiming ANY kind of credit for our operations in Iraq, which he repeatedly opposed, makes me want to vomit.  Had Obama had his way, Iraq would be lost and millions of people would be murdered under Saddam.  Had Obama had his way, we would have surrendered the battlefield and walked away like a conquered country.  Had Obama had his way, our mission in Iraq would have been a complete and total failure.  But now he wants to claim credit for victory?

That narcissistic anti-American traitor can go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.  The office of Commander in Chief has been contaminated by his presence, the Oval Office has been forever tainted by his occupation, and any success the military has is despite his presence, not because of it.  Obama has successfully turned this country into a global laughingstock, and now he wants to sit back and take the credit won by his predecessor.

Gah.  Obama isn't fit to carry GWB's jock strap, and I wasn't all that big a Bush fan to begin with.  The fact that the Marxist Messiah managed to lie his way into office is proof that this country is fucking sunk.  The only question is what it will look like afterwards.

Why I shouldn't read blogs on a Sunday

Because I see the legacy media coverage of the Restore Honor Rally yesterday....

And I see how they try to spin it....

And I start thinking of ways to tar and feather every worthless hack who calls himself or herself a journalist, just for the good of the country.  And that would take a lot of tar and feathers, although somehow I'm certain that if I put out a call and explained why I needed tons of tar and bales of feathers, I'd get more than enough donations.

The Washington Post needs to die.  Just die.  Go to hell and die.  They are not a news organization, they're just another propaganda organ for the Democrat American Communist Party, and they are fully acting as such.

Dave turns into a hippy?

Under the "No, did he really?" category, one of the things that's happened recently is that I've joined an artist's co-op.  You know those photos that I throw up occasionally?  I've got quite a few of them, and many of them my mother has asked "Dave, why don't you sell these?"  Well, I didn't sell them because I never had time to set up shop.  But now I do in a small way - or more to the point, there are quite a few of us who will be setting up shop together, and I won't have to spend eighty hours a week making it work.

Look, I've been around "art" it all it's various forms for quite a while.  Art doesn't pay very much, m'kay?  Even my brother, who has more music talent in his left nostril than most folks have in their entire bodies, has to hold down a full time job in order to play his music on the weekends.  I know I'm not going to make it rich.

But an extra c-note or two every month wouldn't suck.  And that's what I'm hoping for here.  Which means that I'm going to have to really be careful about what photos I toss up, because I don't want to give away anything that I'm selling down at the shop.

Meh.  Anyways, that's just the brain droppings for this morning.

Hmmmmmmmm....

Good?  Maybe.  WebChronicle Gun List.  I have an SKS that I haven't shot in a while.  Maybe I'll post it.

A happy waste

You know those letters I wrote to my Congresscritters?  Turns out they won't even need to read them.  EPA lead ammo ban?  Dead.

Still glad I wrote them.

Night driving

I don't know what it is around Wisconsin, but people are either driving around with their brights on or they have their headlights aimed directly at my eyes.  And I'm not the only one with that problem.  My buddy who drives a friggin' JEEP has the same problem.

Part of it is the huge amount of salt this state uses on the roads during the winter.  No, seriously.  The salt gets impacted into the road, and makes them shiny.  Every time a car is approaching me I have to deal with two sets of headlights - the ones on the car and the ones reflecting off the nice glossy road.

The other part of the problem is half of these people DO drive around with their brights on, and constantly forget to turn them off.  It's unreal.  And it blinds you when you're coming home at 9:00 at night, on a stretch of road where you have had to dodge herds of deer in the past.

Yeah.  So if you're in Wisconsin, and you've had a car coming the opposite way suddenly turn on it's brights and flash them several times, and as you drive past there's a guy leaning out the driver's window, middle finger fully extended, and the words "TURN OFF YOUR FUCKING BRIGHTS YOU DRUNKEN JACKASS!".....  that was probably me.  And no, I'm not apologizinmg.

And again v.3

The Media is NOT YOUR FRIEND!!!!!

I don't watch ABC news anyways, thank god.  Who knows just how long they've been manufacturing stories to fit their narrative; at least since the Viet Nam War, probably longer.

Why I'm not a Republican

Because of shit like this, this, and this.  Because the GOP has been nothing more than the Donk Lite party. Because if the GOP actually stood on the beliefs they claim to hold, we wouldn't have had the drunken spending spree under President Bush, and they wouldn't have lost to the Democrat American Communist Party in 2006 and 2008.  And because the ruling elitists of the GOP are resisting any kind of change what so ever, even though the GOP is about as successful as a boil on this country's ass right now.

Every time I get a letter begging for money, I send it back with a message written in Sharpie on it.  A nice simple message:  Return to the conservative values that you claim to hold, and I'll start helping you out again.  But as long as you only speak for the ruling class, you DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME.

They can all go to hell.  The GOP needs to die so it can be reborn.

Real World Proof

I don't know how many times I've said it, but if you want to see the end result of Democrat American Communist Party policies, all you have to do is look at where those policies have been in place for a while.  Like California.

Adobe Systems, maker of a suite of graphics programs such as Adobe PDF, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, have announced that they are building a $100 million facility in either Salt Lake City or in nearby Utah County, Utah. The facility will bring thousands of jobs to Utah over the next few decades.
In May the Internet auction company ebay also announced a major new facility to be built in Salt Lake City. The $287 million data center will also bring hundreds of new jobs to the Bee Hive State.
Not to be forgotten, games maker Electronic Arts opened its new facility in July in Salt Lake City where around 100 employees are already at work.
These companies fleeing California’s horrid business climate are not alone. There has been a steady flow of businesses out of California for the better part of a decade. As California’s political morass worsens, as its budget woes increase, and as her politicians are proven incapable of making the hard budgetary decisions to take power from unions and chop unnecessarily lavish social programs, the state’s jobs are bleeding out. California is an a freefall the end of which is still unseen.

Buck Knives moved their factory from California to Post Falls, ID years ago.  Socialist policies are inherently anti-business, and the only state more socialist than California might be Massachusetts.  Maybe.  But the chickens are coming home to roost for California right now.  Unfortunately, the same ideology and the same mindset that control California now control this country.  How many business are going to leave or shut down under more and more regulation and taxation?

Just how high do you want your unemployment, people?

On the proposed EPA ban of lead ammunition

Which is, at it's core, a de-facto ban on all shooting; I've written my congresscritters, and I suggest you do the same.  Emails are great, yay emails, but nothing gets a reaction like signed, hard-copy letters flooding a desk.  Sebastian from Snowflakes in Hell has info and multiple links, to include the NSSF webpage detailing how the EPA is trying to push the ban.  The NSSF also has a sample letter to congresscritters that you can use, although I prefer to put my thoughts into my own words.

By the way, if you've never written a letter to your Congress Critters before, a good start is right here:  www.congress.org.  Put your ZIP code into the box on the upper-hand right, and it'll tell you exactly who your congresscritters are.  Click on their names, and it'll take you to their info pages.  There's a tab labeled "Contact" that has their State addresses and D.C. addresses.  Copy and paste those into whatever word processing program you use, and you're off to the races.

Did I just date myself with that whole "Word Processing" thing?  I think I did.  Ah well, deal with it.

Words of Wisdom

From the Ragin' Mom, who was discussing the Ground Zero Mosque while we were on vacation.

"So the government is sending this guy (Imam Rauf) around the world on the taxpayer's dime so that he can round up cash to build that mosque, right?  So much for the separation of Church and State that the Left loves so much!"

And that echos what Rivrdog states:

Most of the news on the mosque deal is coming from the White House, what with the President making a statement Friday night, then modifying it Saturday morning, then his press officer issuing a presskit on "what the President really meant" on Sunday.
All of THAT is really just drivel, because something got overlooked here.
OK, 'dawg, you've said that twice now, what got overlooked?
I'm glad you asked, Mister Muse.
What got overlooked was that the President made his initial remarks at a Ramadan dinner hosted by the President in the State Dining Room at the White House.
Yes, the President, who cancelled the National Day of Prayer breakfast at the White House on May 6th, saying something to the effect that hosting religious affairs at the White House was inappropriate for a President to do, seems to have forgotten that in only 3 months, and he just hosted a religious dinner at that same White House.
Not one press outlet has seen this little dichotomy. Not even Fox News, even after I shouted it at my TV set three times.

Most anti-American President EVAH!

Ragin' Dave's Quote of the Day: Tossing out bait edition

Doing a little surfing this morning, and I ran across my quote of the day at Washington Rebel:

If an old hand like me tells you we have driven ourselves mad as hatters with dope -- and turned ourselves into women (marijuana's chief attribute) -- there will always be a Libertarian pansy on hand to excuse that. Like any inmate in an insane asylum, you Libetarians really think you're fascinating. You're not.
And no, I don't agree with his whole post, but damn if he doesn't nail at least one of my chief complaints regarding dope.

And looking at my tabs that are open, it was a chain of Day by Day, Mind-Numbed Robot, Caught Him with a Corndog, and then Washington Rebel.  My brain really does work like that on a regular basis.  Sometimes I think I have ADOLS.  Attention Deficit OOO LOOK SHINEY!

A week between posts

Sorry 'bout the extensive absence, folks.  But my family is more important to me than anything.  Hope you understand.

Back

Did waaaaaaay too much driving yesterday, and had a busy day today.  I'm sleeping in tomorrow.

As an aside, were I a resident of Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Indiana or Illinois, and the politicians were wah-wah-wahing about needing more money for roads, I would personally tell each and every one of them to go outside and play "Hide and Go Fuck Yourself".  The tolls I paid were unreal.  I easily spent half my gas budget just on tolls, and in quite a few spots that money wasn't going towards roads at all, or at least not according to the bumps, potholes and various other issues.  At one point the Ragin' Mrs. woke up and asked if the roads were really that bad or if I was running over a herd of turtles.

And I know for a fact that Chicago is making miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillions of dollars in tolls.  Where is that money going to?  Ask the politicians.  They're the ones spending it.  Fucking corrupt pieces of crap.
