Bernie Sanders flies on Private Jets

Much like his communist heroes, who had their dachas on the lake, stuffed with food and booze, while the common people starved to death and waited in lines just to get shoes that didn't fit.

After getting shellacked by former Vice President Joe Biden in the South Carolina primary, the democratic socialist presidential candidate is said to have boarded the wrong private jet during a campaign stop on Saturday.

Am I opposed to private jets?  Nope.  What I'm opposed to is a communist who rails against "the rich" using a private jet.  You want your socialist paradise, comrade?  YOU FIRST.  Fly commercial, just like the rest of America, or shut the fuck up.

What seems amazing to this writer is that even when faced with proof that a minimum wage hurts more employees than it helps its proponents still insist on it. They would rather fewer people work fewer jobs for more money than more people work more jobs for a base salary and the opportunity to promote through the ranks. 

It is the opposite of the compassion they advocate for.

That being, the leaders of socialist movements always claim they're with the people, and that lasts up to, but not beyond, the point they get elected.  And then it's living rich, baby.

But The Post could find little indication she continues to live there. 

The Post emailed Ocasio-Cortez’s spokesman, Corbin Trent, four times with specific questions — which were all ignored. On Saturday, The Post reached Corbin by phone. 

“We will not be commenting,” he said. Among the queries he refused to answer: Where does the congresswoman live?

The new leader of the Democrat Party can't even take a few lessons from the old leader.  At least Granny Rictus still had a San Fran mansion, albeit surrounded by a massive fence so that the great unwashed hoards couldn't be seen or smelled.  The googly-eyed socialist idiot can't even manage to keep an address near the people she supposedly represents.

Socialism as a Hate Crime

Which raises the question: given our loose standards on the subject, why isn’t socialism a “hate crime”? 

After all, the evidence for its malignant effects is obvious to anyone with sufficient curiosity to look at the historical record. The socialist movement has been responsible for the murder, imprisonment, and torture of many millions, and perhaps hundreds of millions, of innocent people during its heyday in the twentieth century. That history of murder and tyranny continues on a smaller scale today in the handful of countries living under the misfortune of socialism—for example, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, and (more recently) Venezuela. 

How do socialists escape the indictment that, in view of the historical record, they are purveyors of tyranny and mass murder? Many deny that Stalin, Mao, and the others were true socialists and, indeed, that socialism has never really been tried—a manifest absurdity. Senator Sanders and others claim that they are for something called “democratic socialism,” a popular and peaceful version of the doctrine, but that’s what Lenin, Mao, and Castro said until they seized power and immediately began to sing a different tune. Democracy and diversity are what they say when out of power; tyranny and authoritarianism are what they practice once in power. That is the tried-and-true technique of all socialist movements.

There's long been a short list of things to do if you want to avoid living in poverty:

1)  Don't do drugs.
2)  Graduate high school.
3)  Wait until you're married to have kids.

All of those imply a modicum of self control.  Robert McCain has another list that's very similar:

1)  Work Hard.
2)  Live Cheap.
3)  Save your money.

The rest of his post is a refutation of a socialist who is living large of of capitalism.  But that's the case with all socialists, isn't it?  They have to cannibalize a capitalist economy in order to fund their socialist pipe dream.  Louder with Crowder once pointed out that capitalism doesn't require a billionaire to exist in order for their system to function, while socialism, who's adherents demonize the rich, require millionaires and billionaires to exist in order to fund their immoral system.

And as an aside, take a good look at the photo of that socialist twink, Anand Giridharadas.  Hair done just so, face made up, wearing a MOTORCYCLE JACKET that I guarantee hasn't seen one second of actual ride time.  This is a guy living large like a fat tick on a well-fed dog.  But like all socialists, he'll kill the dog, and then blame the dog for not paying it's fair share, while he continues to live large on the efforts of others.

After all, that's what the adherents of socialism all want.  Hell, Hugo Chavez was worth billions, and Venezuela is a socialist hellhole of poverty and despair.  All those socialists think that they're going to be Hugo Chavez, and they have no problem with we Normal Americans being forced to eat our pets to survive as long as they can continue to wear fancy leather jackets and be applauded by their peers for being so noble.

The simple truth is that digging your way out of poverty requires a few simple rules, and a modicum of self control.  I've gone from eating Top Ramen three meals a day to driving a new car, having a motorcycle, living a happy life and eating damn well.  And I did it with self control and NOT demanding that others pay my way.

But that's the rub, innit?  Socialists don't have much self control at all with other people's money, and they always demand that someone else pay their way.

Maduro out in Venezuela

Something to keep an eye on.  In the meantime, the complete and under destruction of Venezuela under socialism is something that can be used to beat idiots like Alexandria Occasional-Cortex and other Marxists over the head.

The problem with Mexico, is that it's full of Mexicans

Mexicans are flooding across our border because Mexico is a socialist shithole controlled by corrupt politicians, socialists, and the drug cartels.  So naturally, this socialist shitwad is the front-runner to be President of Mexico.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), the far-left presidential candidate in Mexico and former mayor of Mexico City,  has called for mass migration to the U.S., saying it is a "human right" for Mexican citizens to enter the United States.

When, not if, this socialist turd-blossom gets elected, Mexico will continue down the path of prosperity and success currently enjoyed by Venezuela, with the resulting migration that makes our border-hopping problems now look like peanuts.  And Mexico will have done it to themselves, but it'll be our problem to deal with.  BUILD THAT FUCKING WALL ALREADY!

Oh, I'm sure there are hard working, god-fearing, stellar examples of humanity in Mexico.  But they're completely outnumbered by the kind of idiots who vote for more socialist stupidity and the same policies that keep people flooding across our border, because they don't have to deal with the actual consequences.  Build that wall, stop the flood of people, make it harder for the cartels to smuggle people and drugs, and watch that pressure crank up on the socialists in charge.  As long as they can pawn their problems off on America, nothing will change.  And things need to change.  We cannot be the world's refugee center, especially when those "refugees" are people just looking for free shit from Uncle Sugar.

“A new decree establishing that any employee in Venezuela can be effectively made to work in the country’s fields as a way to fight the current food crisis is unlawful and effectively amounts to forced labor,” Amnesty International said in a statement released on Thursday. 

President Nicolás Maduro signed a decree at the end of last week that gives powers to the labor ministry to order “all workers from the public and private sector with enough physical capabilities and technical know-how” to join a government drive aimed at increasing food production. 

They can be required to work in the agricultural sector for a 60-day period that can be extended for another 60 days “if the circumstances require it.”

For example, Mississippi has a higher median income ($23,017) than 18 countries measured here. The Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom all have median income levels below $23,000 and are thus below every single US state. Not surprisingly, the poorest OECD members (Chile, Mexico, and Turkey) have median incomes far below Mississippi.

Things get even worse once you factor in purchasing power and other factors.

Once purchasing power among the US states is taken into account, we find that Sweden's median income ($27,167) is higher than only six states: Arkansas ($26,804), Louisiana ($25,643), Mississippi ($26,517), New Mexico ($26,762), New York ($26,152) and North Carolina ($26,819).

We find something similar when we look at Germany, but in Germany's case, every single US state shows a higher median income than Germany. Germany's median income is $25,528. Things look even worse for the United Kingdom which has a median income of $21,033, compared to $26,517 in Mississippi. 

Sweden is held up as the perfect example of socialism that works.  Bernie Sanders supporters everywhere practically have the name "Sweden" tattooed on their foreheads.  "B-b-b-but SWEDEN!" they shriek, as if the mere name of the country will ward off reality.

But reality will always win, even if that means it wins over our dead bodies.  Or impoverished bodies.

Reality bites Seattle in the ass

As restaurants start shutting down in advance of the $15 minimum wage.

For those who haven't worked in food service at all, lemme lay down a little knowledge for you.  In a restaurant, a 3% profit margin is GOOD.  If you start making a 5% profit margin, you might get audited because that's rather rare.

Now increase your personnel costs by 50%.  Guess what happens?  Your profit margins go into the negatives, and a negative profit margin means shutting down.  It's no surprise that restaurant owners are choosing to shut down now, rather than when they're thousands of dollars in the red.  They can see what's coming.

And while people look at the map and think the entire area around the Puget Sound is "Seattle", the truth is that there are plenty of other towns and cities all around Seattle that don't have to suffer under the kind of idiocy that Seattle does.  And guess where those businesses are going to go?

Of course, they might not go anywhere at all.  They might just leave permanently and decide that they no longer want to do business in an area run by greedy socialists who have no clue how an economy works.  That's what I would do, after all.  And I guarantee you that I'm not going to do a single bit of business within Seattle boundaries if I can help it, because the cost on me is going to skyrocket.  Why should I waste my money in Seattle when I can go thirty miles and do business in a sane area for much less cost?

The one good thing to come out of this is that people all over the country can point at Seattle and say "Well, there's the end result of what you want to do, and I for one refuse to allow you to do that to my town."
