Things the US Media won't tell you.

Obamacare costs $50,000 for every person who's "insured".

The numbers are daunting: It will take $1.993 trillion, a number that looks like $1,993,000,000,000, to provide insurance subsidies to poor and middle-class Americans, and to pay for a massive expansion of Medicaid and CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) costs.
Offsetting that massive outlay will be $643 billion in new taxes, penalties and fees related to the Obamacare law.
That revenue includes quickly escalating penalties – or 'taxes,' as the U.S. Supreme Court described them – on people who resist Washington's command to buy medical insurance.
It also includes income from a controversial medical device tax, which some Republicans predict will be eliminated in the next two years.
If they're right, Obamacare's per-person cost would be even higher.

I just hope that I'm settled in up in Northern Idaho when the entire system comes crashing down.  Or at least someplace rural.  Someplace where I'm not surrounded by "vibrant youths" when their EBT cards flash all zeros because the gummit ain't got the money to pay them off.

!!!!!

The classless president

So the dude who was going to bring us "Smart Diplomacy" still can't pull his head out of his ass when it comes to not pissing off our allies.  This narcissistic idiot can't even be bothered to understand what "protocol" actually is when dealing with a foreign country.  Or maybe as Allahpundit says, he's chomping Nicorette like a fiend because he's jonesing for a smoke so badly.

I suppose if his goal is pissing off everyone who likes us, then he's a success!  Let's just say the Indians were less than impressed with President Twatwaffle and his public gum chomping.

Listen to the rhythm

Of the falling rain...

We had a storm pass overhead last night, and other than a brief bit for dinner, I spent last night sitting under my patio roof listening to the rain.

I know the locals think I'm nuts.  And maybe you folks who don't live in LA think I'm nuts as well, but when you've lived with rain all your life and then you move to a nasty polluted desert?

The rain is magical.

New phrase that I'm stealing...

"Democrat-unionized K-12 moron factories"

Second best line?  "Life, using effort as a metric, ruthlessly discriminates between the lazy and those who have stuff. I am super comfortable with that."

Burning the midnight oil

Vox Day quotes John C. Wright regarding the evil that Leftists do, and then opines:

It is only when attention is drawn to their own particular sin, to OUR own sin, that the human mind goes haywire, because it is hard to look at yourself in the mirror and say: "I am a sinner. I am corrupt. I am fallen short of the glory of God."
And yet, whether we admit it or not, we have.

And here is where I take a right turn, as it were.

As many of you know, I'm Catholic.  Catholics have the Sacrament of Confession, where we enter a booth, pour out our sins, and receive penance and absolution.

Now, there's whole boatloads of Protestants who want to point and tell me that this amounts to nothing but a blank check to do evil again, because we can just go into a booth and be forgiven.

But it's not that easy.

True penance and absolution require that we, the sinners asking for forgiveness, resolve to do our best not to sin again.  That's point number one.  It's not a blank check to do what you want.

Point number two is this:  The very act of walking into a booth and telling a priest about your sins first requires that you sit down and admit "I screwed up.  I sinned.  I have harmed people.  My actions were evil, and this is why."

That's not easy to do, especially in this day and age where modern people are taught that evil is relative, and intentions matter more than effects of your actions.  This is why modernists try to devalue the Church.  This is why the Novus Ordo church does it's best to reassure people that God loves them even if they don't go to confession and everything is alright.  Because looking at your actions in the harsh light of God's truth does not leave you feeling good.  It doesn't leave you feeling like you're on top of the world.  It makes you feel very, very small.  Understanding how your actions, your sins have hurt other people is the first step in confession.  Absolution and forgiveness only come after you deal with that unpleasant reality.

And dealing with that unpleasant reality is not something that the Left does well.  Hell, it's not something that they do at all.

But it's something that Catholics are called to do every day.  Or at least, it's something we are supposed to do every day.  Stepping into that confession booth on Sunday isn't a pleasant experience at the onset, because it requires me to first look at what I've done, and then admit that I am a sinner.  I am not perfect.  I have done things that have harmed other people and my own soul.

Do you think either of the Clintons go to confession?  Hell no.  It's much easier to ignore it.  It's much easier to rationalize it.  Going back to Vox:

We are all potential Leftists. We are all capable of rationalizing away our own particular sins. How good I am, because I am not a glutton, says the slender whore. How good I am, because I am not a slut, says the obese woman as she stuffs her face. How good I am, because I am not a murderer, says the homosexual. How good I am, because I am not a thief, says the killer.

"Well, sure I sinned but..."  That doesn't work when you truly confess your sins.  And that's why so many of the Left hate the Church, even those who are inside the Church (Looking at you there, Francis!)  So I'll go to confession a bit later in the day today, and I'll look at what I've done and what I've failed to do.  It's not really pleasant, but it is cathartic.

The Confiteor is said three times throughout the traditional Latin Mass - once by the servers, once by the Priest, and once again by the servers prior to communion.

Amen.

I confess to Almighty God,
to Blessed Mary ever Virgin,
to Blessed Michael the Archangel,
to Blessed John the Baptist,
to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul and to all the Saints,

(and to you, Father)that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word and deed;
(strike your breast thrice)
through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.
Therefore I beseech Blessed Mary ever Virgin,
Blessed Michael the Archangel,
Blessed John the Baptist,
the holy Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints,

and you, Father,to pray for me to the Lord our God for me.
Amen.

Try it sometime.

Listening to the words, it'll almost make you cry.

So the Saudi king died

And the 79 year old Crown Prince is taking his place.

Apparently, the old guy was a "reformer".  Now he still had women flogged for the horrible offense of driving a car, but hey - "reform".  The new guy, from all the scuttlebutt out on these here intartubes, is more "old school".

Yeah.  Chew on that thought for a while.

Ear Leader Obama doesn't have a damn clue about what's going to blow up next in the Middle East.  We have two years of sheer hell coming at us, folks.

Grrrrr

Did something to my calf yesterday that made me pull my run up short.  Woke up this morning, was going through my routine, when the same calf said "Nope, I'm still pissed off at you".

I really wanted to go running today.  Poop.

I refused to watch the SOTU address

Instead I spent the evening with the Mrs. and a friend, eating duck, drinking really good beer, and finishing off the night with a good cigar.

I can read all of Obama's lies when I feel like it - I have no real desire to be lied to directly.

I did watch Jodie Ernst's response.  I think it could have been better.  In fact, I think it was standard, boiler-plate balderdash that could have been written by any number of political operatives in Washington D.C., and highlights just how bankrupt of any new ideas the GOP really is right now.  They took a rising star, and turned her into a boring, pedestrian inside-the-beltway faceless pol.

Can't say I'm all that thrilled about what I saw.

So, have you ever...

lit up a cigar, and realized that THIS is what a cigar should taste like?

Yep.

They're that good.

I don't know about you...

But I know I've reached curmudgeon status when I look at photos of nekkid women and go "That's fake.  That's fake.  Those are SO FAKE.  Fakey fake faker.  FAKE!  Whoa, those might be real."

Found a new pipe blend

So first of all, if you happen to be a pipe smoker in or around the Pasadena area, you have to stop in to a place called the Briar Hound.  This is a pipe only smoke shop.  It's open on the weekends, from 1-8 PM.  He's got all kinds of different tobaccos at the shop, but what sets this guy apart is that he'll sell tobacco by the ounce.  He's got a menu of all kinds of different tobaccos, and you can select one you want to try and just buy a bowl of it instead of buying an entire tin.

Which is how I found this new pipe tobacco.  It's called "Cigar Leaf" by Cornell & Diehl.

It's like having a good cigar and a pipe all in one.

Now if I can just find a place to buy the stuff where I live....

Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Vintage 1992

Rocky Patel loves his aged tobacco, that's for sure.  He has several blends out that are ten, fifteen, twenty years old, and the trend will probably continue.  I've had a couple different Patel cigars in the past - a couple of his Edge varieties, Freedom (which I highly recommend), Vintage 1999 Connecticut, and a few other more boutique blends.  This particular cigar I had not tried before.

The cigar I tried was a box-pressed torpedo.  It has a ten-year old Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, and it adds a nice sweetness to the cigar when you pull it from the plastic.  The tobacco smell is distinct, but light.  After cutting the tip, the draw was good - not too tight, not too loose.  Upon initial flavor upon lighting it was sweet tobacco with toast and hints of spice.  The initial impression is a medium-to-full flavor, more medium than full.  After about the first inch, you start getting a pepper note creeping in along with the spice, building very gradually.

Right about halfway through the cigar the pepper is fully pronounced, giving you a pepper and tobacco flavor.  This is also the time when the flavor begins to build up from medium more to full.  The ash on this cigar will hold for about an inch before falling off.

At about the last third of the cigar it's moved into a full-flavor profile, with tobacco, pepper and hints of toast.  It eventually died out about an inch and a half from the nub of the cigar, but maintained good flavor all the way to the finish.

So, there's my technical review.  Here's my non-technical review:

This is a good Medium-Full cigar.  I would hold it's own against scotch or a hoppy IPA.  I think the crisp notes of the IPA would go well with the spice and pepper of the cigar.  It's not my favorite Rocky Patel cigar, but when you've got 52 different cigars that leaves a wide range of good smokes, and not all of them can be my favorite.  Since the cigar ends up full flavored, I wouldn't advise it for anyone who doesn't like a bold cigar.  It starts out sweet, ends up spicy, and has enough of a kick at the end to keep me happy.  My only real complaint is that it died out before I was ready to stub it out; that could be from a number of different factors so I'm not blaming that on the cigar just yet.

Would I buy it if my local cigar shop had it?  Maybe.  That would depend on what other Patel blends were available.  Would someone who enjoys a mild cigar enjoy this?  Only the first half - the latter half would be too strong for them.

Once again, I'd like to thank Anthony from CigarsCity.com for giving me the opportunity to do this.  Their link is up on the sidebar in the "Be A Man" block.

Kewl

So Missouri Meerschaum is now making churchwarden pipes to coincide with the release of the last Hobbit movie.  They're calling them "Cobbits".

Yes, I ordered one.  Of course I did.

I would have left them there

Some Occu-tards "Occupied" an interstate in Boston.  They had made cement barrels where they could chain themselves together inside the barrel, thus making it harder for the police to move them out of the road.

I would have pushed the barrels to the side of the road, secured them to the barrier there, and then opened the roadway back up.  With the Occu-tards still chained together inside the barrels.

I would have told the Occu-tards that they should probably hang tight to the side of the road to avoid being hit by passing cars.  And then I would have left.  I only would have returned to deal with anyone trying to unchain the barrels from the road barriers.

These Occu-tards were wearing adult diapers, for shit's sake.  They were prepared to be there a long time.  I would have left them there a long, long time, chained to the side of the road, while cars rushed by.

The Diplomacy of Little Children

Apparently, John F'n Kerry took James Taylor with him to France to sing "You've Got A Friend".

No, really.  This is not a joke.  This actually happened.

So we've gone from the Obama administration refusing to attend a march where 40 other heads of state or other international VIPs joined in, to sending a traveling minstrel show in an attempt to appease the world because Obama and his gang of incompetent clowns have managed to piss just about everybody off.

These people could fuck up a wet dream.

And I apologize to minstrels everywhere for using them in the above comparison.

A Cigar Review: Montecristo Media Noche #2

So to make a long story short, last week I got an email from a gentleman from CigarsCity.com, asking if I would do a cigar review for him.

Of course I said yes.  He didn't even mind that this was a mostly political blog.

The gentleman said he would ship the cigars out to me, and they arrived yesterday, nicely bundled up with a humi-pack to make sure they were good and ready once they got here.  There are two different cigars to be sampled, so you can expect another cigar review tomorrow or Saturday.

First up is the Montecristo Media Noche.  The cigar I had was the #2, which is a box-pressed torpedo.  The wrapper is a flawless dark-colored Connecticut Broadleaf that has a sweet kind of tang and rich tobacco aroma to it when you first pull it from the cellophane.  It's the kind of smell that makes your mouth water.  It feels solid in your hand before you light it.

Once I snipped it, I found the draw to be just a tad tight, but still perfectly smokable.  Lighting it up gave me a good tobacco flavor with hints of chocolate and cedar rounding it out and just a hint of spice on the finish.  It put off a good amount of smoke, and I didn't have to re-light it at all throughout the evening.  As I smoked the first inch it developed a sweeter flavor, more chocolate and less cedar.  The ash was a dark-grey and even in color, and held on for an inch and a half before it finally fell off on it's own.

Halfway through the flavors changed just a bit, adding some toast to the chocolate with the cedar notes still holding on.  The cedar and toast notes increase as you finish the cigar, but towards the end the pure tobacco flavor ends up dominating.

The cigar burned evenly all the way down to my fingertips, with no canoeing or hot spots.  It's a well constructed cigar, which is to be expected from Montecristo.

All in all it was a great medium-bodied smoke.  The flavors were rich but not overbearing, and the sweetness of the Broadleaf wrapper paired well with the cedar and spice from the filler.  All the flavors were very well balanced.

OK, so that's the more technical review.  My less technical review is this:  It's a great cigar, not too strong, goes well with scotch or wine, won't beat up your palate, and smokes better than about 90% of the sticks out there.  Would I grab it if I saw it in my cigar shop's humidor?  Yes.  Would someone who prefers a more mild smoke still enjoy it?  Yes.

Also, if you look in the "Be A Man" block of the sidebar, you'll see CigarsCity.com has been added.  They've got a good selection, good prices, and free shipping for orders of $50 or more.  Plus, if the box I got was any indication (and I think it is) they make sure your cigars get to you in great shape.

So thank you to Anthony from CigarsCity.com for the chance to do this!  I'll be posting my review of the other cigar later.

Next up: Bishops losing their diocese.

Bishops from Venezuela are letting Pope Francis know that he's all wet when he goes around denouncing capitalism.  I think Cardinal Burke can tell you that going up against this particular pope doesn't do you many favors when it comes to your career track.  But here's hoping that some Bishops from South American can beat some sense into Frank's head.

Dear Hyundai

Build this.  Give it a diesel engine and towing capability. I will buy it.

Both Hyundai and Kia make small, flatbed pickup trucks in Korea that I drove when I was stationed there.  Great little trucks.  Diesel engines, good gas mileage, could haul anything that would fit in the bed.  I wanted one of those when I came back, but they weren't selling them here in the US.

This would fill a niche right nicely.

The World wanted Obama

So when Obama sends a gigantic middle finger to the world, when Obama abdicates his position as leader of the free world, just keep in mind that Obama is the American President that these people wanted.

They hated that cowboy Bush.  They couldn't stand anyone that highlighted their weakness, their failures, their lack of spine.

They cheered for Obama.  They rallied to Obama's speeches.  They celebrated his election.  Twice.  And so when that narcissistic buffoon basically tells them all to go fuck off, what can they do?

Obama is their guy.  He's their anti-Bush.  They gave that incompetent fucking moron the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for pete's sake, just for being Not-Bush, and he's rewarded them with a Middle East on fire, Russia invading Ukraine, Islamic Terrorism resurgent.

And on top of all of that, he can't even be bothered to send anyone of importance to the biggest rally in France since World War II.  The leaders of Germany, the UK, Israel and thirty-seven other countries were there.  Could he even send that moron John F'n Kerry?  Y'know, the guy who speaks FRENCH?  The guy who's such a failure that he makes Hillary Clinton look half-way competent?  Nope, can't do that!  Maybe Kerry had some important botox injections he didn't want to miss, who knows?

The fact that Obama snubbed France this way is unacceptable.  But the fact that it happened to his supporters (except for Bibi, who knows just what kind of gutless, sniveling shitweasel Obama is) is a little bit of delicious irony.  They wanted Obama.  And they got him, good and hard.

Colts beat Broncos

Whoa...  that just overturned the narrative's applecart, didn't it?  Andrew Luck is scary good!

Saturday, January 10, 2015

FYI

Boko Haram just killed upwards of 2000 people in Nigeria, all under the banner of Islam.

You really want to allow that here?

I'm at the point of saying "If you're muslim, stay over where-ever the fuck you came from.  Don't bring that shit here."

You wouldn't allow Nazis to immigrate, would you?

If a tribe of KKK members wanted to immigrate you'd say "No way", wouldn't you?

Then why allow huge numbers of people who hold a violent ideology into this country?

"But Dave, they're REFUGEES!"

Yeah, refugees who arrive here and set shit up just like it was back in Shitholeistan, or whatever Islamic piss-pot they came from.  That's why we have people trying to set up Shari'a law in America, because they're REFUGEES.

In the meantime, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who has seen the horror of Islam first-hand, can't even give a speech at a US college.

Blah.  Sorry, I'm in a mood today.

Working today

And then Seahawks game tonight.

Don't expect much from me.

Je Suis Charlie

Yes, yes, but will you learn? Will you stop allowing the advocates of a murderous, totalitarian barbarian religion to enter your country en mass?  Will you look at their sharia courts and their no-go areas and their treatment of non-muslims and say "Nope, you cannot do that here?"

Unfortunately, we all know the answer to that, don't we?

So, after a little time to think about it...

I think I'm pretty much done with the GOP at the national level.

I know that there are no perfect politicians, and there are no perfect political parties.  And I was willing to compromise on quite a bit.  But when John Boehner pushed a CRomnibus bill that gives Obama every.  Single.  Thing.  He wanted, essentially throwing away any leverage the GOP had against amnesty and Obamacare, stabbing conservatives in the back YET AGAIN while screwing over all the incoming GOP Representatives, and then those people turn around and vote for him as Speaker of the House for a 3rd term?

Nope.  Just nope.

So I'll be looking for Libertarian and Constitutionalist folks to vote for until the GOP wises up.  I'll support the GOP candidates at the local level just to make sure the Commies don't take over, and maybe get the party back on the right track from the ground up.  But until Boehner and McConnell are removed from their positions, the GOP will not get one single dime from me, nor will I vote for or support any GOP candidate at the national level.  I will actively campaign against the GOP at the national level, because in reality, there's not much difference between what Boehner did with the CRomnibus bill and what Pelosi would have done.

Tuesday, January 06, 2015

Call your Representatives

Tell them to fire John Boehner.

I already called by Rep, his phone lines were busy and mailbox was full.  I'm hoping this is a good sign.  Boehner needs to go.  If Boehner remains speaker, I can see the GOP splitting apart for good.  A party cannot remain whole when the establishment leadership constantly attacks it's base.

Maybe it's just me

But when you look at a photo of Jeffrey Epstein the guy just looks creepy.

Of course, the fact that he was running and underage sex ring for his powerful friends might have something to do with that.

And the fact that he had 21 different phone numbers to contact Bill Clinton with?  Yeah, I'm sure the media is going to be ALL OVER THAT!

Well, maybe they will, it depends on how big a boner they have for Fauxcahontas Warren.

Monday, January 05, 2015

Let's hope it's not too little, too late

More and more Representatives are saying that they will not vote for John Boehner as Speaker of the House.  Steve King is the latest.

We may finally get rid of the weeping orange asshole yet.  At this point, I think a diseased crack whore would represent the GOP better than Boehner has.  At least the crack whore would demand to get something in return for the screwing we got.

Obamacare in four sentances

Over ten thousand pages of horrible legislation, condensed down into four easily understood sentences.

  1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to uninsure the insured.
  2. Next, we require the newly uninsured to be re-insured.
  3. To re-insure the newly uninsured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.
  4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became uninsured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original uninsured can be insured, which will be free of charge to them.

It doesn't go into just how awful the law truly is, but there's the bare bones of it.

Have you ever been a "manspreader"?

Hell yes I manspread.  I've manspread in a fucking KILT.  That I was wearing PROPERLY REGIMENTAL, baby!

In all seriousness, the fact that these people had to create "man-spreading" to futher their narrative shows just how little they truly have to bitch about.

Manspreading is an example of what college intellectuals call a "microaggression". That simply means you may not know that you are oppressing the person next to you. The effect is to make innocent people even less willing to be friendly and engage others for fear it will turn into a bad scene of the offended party screaming, crying and/or threatening legal action. The 1990s sitcom Seinfeld used to poke fun at such behavior with the perpetually offended character Elaine Benes. Little did the writers know that Elaine would be the voice of a new generation.

If some guy tells me to stop manspreading, I'm going to tell him to butch up, eat a fucking steak, and grow some balls.

So it's Oregon vs. Ohio State for the Championship

Boy, I bet there's a lot of bookies making out like bandits right now.  Glad to see the Pac-12 (I still want to call it the Pac-10) represented.

Florida State showed that their season wasn't quite the championship run they thought it was.  Before the game had started, I told someone that if Florida State had to play in either the SEC or the Pac-12, they'd be a 6-6 team.  Their QB made one major error throughout the game, but the rest of the team couldn't hold on to the ball if their lives depended on it.

Taking someone running this morning, then helping to build shelves at church.  First half of the day will hopefully be away from any computer.  Second half as well.

2015

I hope everybody had a safe New Year's Eve.

Our dogs were going berzerk over the fireworks and gunfire last night, so I can't say I had the most restful night of sleep, but compared to previous boozy NYE I can say it was much better.

Time to go running!

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

New Year's Eve

Dude, I'll be in bed.  There's nothing like going for a run the morning after a big party holiday.  The roads are empty.  Nobody on the trails.  No cops out trying to write a ticket for having dogs off-leash. Only the few hard-core runners, who nod at each other if we even see another person at all.

There's no traffic noise.  Very little air traffic noise.  Most everybody is at home, in bed, with a hang-over.

It's an awesome time to go running.  Same with July 5th.

So I have no real want or need to stay up till midnight.  I'll be awake at 6, strapping my shoes on and heading out the door.

Big story blows up into nothing

So the hit on Rep. Scalise, that he spoke to a racist group, that he associated with racists, that was supposed to blow the GOP into smithereens.....

Yeah, maybe not so much.

Expect more of this crap over the next two years as the Media Palace Guard does everything in it's power to protect their God and King Obama.  This wasn't a mistake, this was a deliberate attack using fake "news" as a weapon.

Mandatory Gruber mention

In 2009, the architect of Obamacare admitted that there were no cost controls and it was not affordable.

At this point, I'm thinking that membership in the Democrat Party amounts to sedition and treason.

CNN's wet dream

So a CNN poll has Jeb Bush up by 10 points in the GOP field.

1 - it's CNN.  Who did they poll, all those people stuck at an airport?  Because that's their main audience right now.

2 - nobody else has thrown their name in the ring, so Jeb Bush is up 10 points against.....  a random collection of names.  So he's only up 10 points against speculation and rumors.  That doesn't bode will for his candidacy, thank goodness.

Monday, December 29, 2014

Wait, what?

Doonesbury is still in print?  He's just a more syndicated version of Tom Tomorrow, with less drool and spittle.

Morons gonna moron

So a bunch of protesters showed up at Hollywood and Highland on Saturday night, trying to do their Ferguson/Garner thing and block traffic.  They burned an American flag right in the middle of the street, stretched across the crosswalk, held hands and generally acted like the brainless morons they are.  The usual "Fuck the Cops" attitude was on display.

Someone apparently wasn't down with the struggle, because he tried to force his way through the line with his car.  Which resulted in someone banging on his hood, which THEN resulted in this dude hauling ass away, right THROUGH the idiots in the crosswalk.

I watched the video.  Best thing I've seen come out of Hollywood in a while.

Here's the twitter feed of one brainless moonbat, named "Cassandra".  Cassandra claims to be an "Activist who commits random acts of journalism".  She's also really good at showing off her boobs, because "GRRL POWER" or something like that.  And, if you peruse her feed, you'll see that she has drank so much of the liberal kool-aide that normal free thought is beyond her.  However, she did post that video of the dude getting run over, so I can at least thank her for that part of my evening.  She's also a great indicator of the kind of mental power these protests can attract - mental power so low that I doubt she could even get a flickering incandescent bulb to light up over her head.  It's more like a match that won't light.

Yeah, I'm a little off this morning.  Haven't had coffee.  Still need to take the dogs running.  They're snoring on the couch next to me right now.

UPDATE:  Ok now - run completed, dogs are happy, coffee is made.

So, regarding the brain-dead moron who blocks roads for fun...  let's call him "Speedbump" for short. Anyways, after Speedbump got himself run over by jumping on a car and hitting it while the driver (who probably rightly feared for his life) was contemplating his next action, the protesters who were just seconds ago calling the police all kinds of names, stirring up shit, burning US flags and being various flavours of assholes all the sudden started calling 9-1-1.  While cops were standing right there, trying to keep protesters from getting themselves killed.

Savor the irony.  The protesters, who were protesting cops, get a little taste of their own medicine, and then try to call the cops.

And then the protesters try to whine about how the cops weren't doing their job.

SAVOR THE IRONY!

In the mean time, I want to try to track down that driver and send him a thank-you letter.

Back to the grind

Well, that was a nice week of not watching the news.  So now lets see what kind of crap I missed.

O Come All Ye Faithful

Merry Christmas, everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying it as much if not more than I am.

Christmas Eve

I've sung this before, but I think this song needs a woman's voice to do it justice.  Although I couldn't find a video that I really preferred - just one woman singing, with maybe a piano for accompaniment. It'll bring tears to your eyes.

Tantum Ergo

I consider this to be a minute and a half of pure vocal music bliss.

From the words which express delight and thanks in our Savior, to the harmonies that range from major to minor and back to major, this is one song that I wish every single choir would sing.

Seahawks in the driver's seat

Now we stil have to beat St. Louis, which in the first half of the season seemed to be a forgone conclusion.  But the Rams have been making life difficult for other teams over the latter half of the season, which leads me to think that it's not going to be a cakewalk.

If we win, 1st seed in the NFC.  If we loose, we're still in but we have to go through someone else's stadium.

Pardon me whilst I chew my fingernails off.

Holiday posts

Avoiding politics.  Need some peace.  Need some good music for the season.

The range that some of these people have is just amazing.

Gutless

So first Sony pulls "The Interview" and practically begs Kimmy Dimmy Jong Un not to be mean, which causes some theaters who were going to show the movie to switch to another movie in it's place.

That movie?  "Team America, World Police".  Awesome, thinks I.

Now the distributor for that movie, Paramount, prevents those theaters from showing it in place of "The Interview".

If you ever wanted to know what kind of craven, gutless pathetic wimpy little bitches run Hollywood, you now have your answer.  This is disgusting.

If you had to choose

Chris Christie or Jeb Bush?

Just no.  Actually, not just no, but Fuck No with a side of No Fucking Way.

At that point it's third party time.  Libertarian, Constitutional Party, I don't care, but at that point the GOP would have lost my vote for the rest of my life.  Period.  So let's hope that this is just a little hypothesizing.

The Media has an objective

Republican aide writes snarky facebook post about Obama Kids?  Front page news, baby.  That lady was hounded out of her position.

57-year old Democrat delegate has sex with minor?  Nah, no big deal.

Look at how the media is literally having orgasms over Fauxcahontas Warren vs. Ted Cruz over their Government Shutdown talks.

Never trust the drive-by Media.  Never.

This is why they must allow guns on college campuses

Because liberals are so violent and unhinged that conservatives need to protect themselves.  And no, that's not be being sarcastic.

Omar Mahmood, a junior majoring in literature and anthropology at the University of Michigan, lost his job as a writer for the main campus newspaper and saw his front door tattooed with angry and profane messages after he wrote a satirical column dubbed "Do the Left Thing" for another publication. Written as parody, the column sought to poke fun at people who constantly perceive “microaggressions” -- a new term for small racial or ethnically-driven snubs.

This guy has been threatened, had threatening notes left on his door, had people in hoodies showing up at his door at 0140 hrs.  He ought to be able to carry a gun to defend himself against these liberal fascists.

In the meantime, the University of Michigan needs to have their ass sued off for establishing a hostile environment, and the newspaper who fired Mahmood needs to have their ass sued off for, well, being little bitches.

Long day today

No free ice cream.  Perhaps you'd enjoy a selection from the sidebar on the right?

Friday, December 12, 2014

So, if you're wondering what to get me for Christmas....

This'll do nicely.

The bacon added is a nice touch, I think.

I'm about at the point of saying "Screw the GOP"

Boehner, that spineless, boot-licking quisling, lied to his own people in order to get Obama's CRomnibus passed.

And yes, I'm calling it Obama's CRomnibus.  It gave Obama everything he wanted, wrapped up in a neat little bow and a couple of chocolate kisses on top.  And Boehner made it happen.

Boehner's staff says he didn't make any such pledge.  Who are you going to believe?  The guys who voted against the CRomnibus, or the guy who was begging liberal Democrats for their votes to pass the CRomnibus?

Thursday, December 11, 2014

CRomnibus passes the House

At least I can say that my Representative voted against it.  This is just another example of John Boehner putting DC politics and favoritism above what's best for this country.  Boehner must go.  BOEHNER DELENDA EST!

John Boehner is a clueless cunt

Hey Johnny Boy!  When the people rallying on your side include BARACK THE LYING SHITHEAD OBAMA, you're way off in the rough.

And you still think this Cromnibus is a good idea?  Screw you, John.  In one month you have managed to throw away the huge advantage handed to you in the last election, and you're sucking shit from BARACK THE LYING FUCKWAD OBAMA in order to try to push your bullshit through the House.

When your best ally is BARACK THE LYING CANKER-SORE OBAMA, YOU ARE ON THE WRONG FUCKING SIDE, YOU DAMNED IDIOTIC WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!

Ragin' Dave's Fact of the Day

Whenever the Democrat Party gets control of a "Public Integrity Unit", all semblance of "Public Integrity" goes away.

That DUI judge down in Texas, for example.

And the Department of Justice.

Seriously, a Democrat in charge of the Public Integrity Unit is just about as Orwellian as you can possibly get.  It's doubleplusungood!

Trojan horse

Is anyone else getting an advert popping up when they click on this blog?  I'm having it happen to two different blogs right now, and I'm about to tear my computer apart looking for the worm.

Here ya go, folks

The summary of the Omnibus bill.  Over $1 Trillion dollars!

To include almost $1 Billion for "unaccompanied children", i.e. illegal aliens crossing our border.  I bet there's crap that that buried all through the bill.

So Gruber is testifying to Congress right now

About his lies and bullshit.

Quite frankly there is nothing Congress can say to him that would equal what he deserves to hear.  There is nothing Congress can do to him that would equal what he deserves to have happen to him.  This lying, slimy, arrogant piece of elitist aristocratic shit needs to be tarred, feathered, and then put in stocks for the public he holds in such distain to throw rotten produce at him.

He needs to be humiliated and punished so horribly in public that the next lying, slimy, arrogant piece of elitist aristocratic shit fears to even contemplate that action.

The name "Gruber" needs to be turned into a verb.  "Dude, don't do that, you'll get Grubered!"

A productive weekend

I started a five-gallon batch of cherry melomel, a three-gallon batch of straight mead, two three-gallon batches of hard cider (one with an English cider yeast, and one with an ale yeast).  I botted a three gallon batch of orange-blossom honey mead, two test batches of chocolate mead (they need some aging, but they taste like they're going to be awesome) and helped the Mrs. clean around the house.

Oh, and I got to sit at a cigar shop and watch my Seahawks kick some Eagle ass.

On top of all that, there was much pipe tobacco smoked, many books read, and much relaxation.

That there is a good weekend.

I have a rosary

Like most traditional Catholics, I have a rosary, and I use it to pray.  My rosary isn't anything special; it's made of camo-colored yarn.  The "beads" are knots that have been tied in the yarn, and I've accented the beads for the "Our Father" with copper wire so that I can feel them when I reach them.

What makes this rosary special to me is the crucifix.  The crucifix came from a rosary that my Grandfather carried with him as he served in the Navy during World War Two.  Five years floating around the Pacific ocean, fighting pretty much the entire time.  When I was getting ready to go to Afghanistan, my mom pulled this crucifix out and gave it to me.  It had been in my father's possession since my Grandfather's funeral.  I took the plain crucifix off my rosary, and put Grandpa's on.

My Grandfather was just doing a hitch in the Navy; he was born in South Dakota, and the Navy was his way of getting out of the Midwest and seeing the world.  And then, Pearl Harbor.  December 7th.  Today's date.

Needless to say, he did more than just a hitch.  I don't know the exact date my Grandfather was in; his records were destroyed in a fire in the 1960's, along with a much of other military service records.  I know he was already in the Navy when my Father was born in 1940.  He got out after the war was done, and went into journalism of all things.  He died in the early 90's.

I've got some prayers to say today.  I'll be using Grandpa's crucifix.

Today is December 7th

A day that shall live in infamy, as some guy once said.  Just a wee bit of his historical significance.

Here's the page for Bing today:

A very nice homage to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.  I've been to that memorial.  I've looked down into the gun turrets and seen the oil still dripping to the top of the water like tears in reverse.  It was a powerful moment, even though I was a little kid and still didn't understand everything about it.

And here is the page for Google today:

And this is why I try never to use anything from Google.  I have an epic rant just bursting to come out, but it's Sunday and I'm trying to maintain on semblance of peace on the Lord's day.

I'll never use Chrome, and I'll use Bing or Yahoo to do my web searches.  If there were another free blogging engine out there, I'd use that as well just to get away from Google.

Yeah, it's a Photoshop

But it captures the sentiments of my state perfectly.

So, that fake Rolling Stone story

About gang-rape at the University of Virginia... Yeah.  I'm betting Rolling Stone wishes they'd never allowed that to go to print.

BUT!!!

When your source is connected to the Obama Administration:

When the story is timed to come out along-side an Obama administration initiative:

And when the entire story falls apart because it's based on lies....

Well, fuck Rolling Stone anyways.  Maybe if they weren't just a group of sycophantic Obama fangirls, they wouldn't have gotten caught up in this.

And now the people pushing those lies are saying that we "need to have a discussion about rape".  Fuck.  You.  We need to have a discussion about ruining men's lives with false rape allegations.  Why don't we try that on for size?

Holiday blahs

I am now on year three of obligational holiday gatherings.  First one is tonight.

Let me plaster a fake smile on my face and try not to upset the wife.

Thursday, December 04, 2014

Oh. Maw. Gerd.

This is a fisking so bad that the recipient probably needs medical attention.

No, I ain't gonna quote it.  Go read it.  It's about guns.  Muahahahaha!

They do this on purpose

So the Obama Administration is refusing to release IRS documents that the IRS illegally shared with the Obama Administration due to 'Privacy".

Sooo........  the IRS broke the law in sharing the files, the Obama gang broke the law by accepting the files, but "privacy" so you can't have the documents.

They do this on purpose, folks.  They know the excuse is bullshit, and they give it anyway knowing it will piss people off.  Just like Obama flipping people off while "scratching is nose", or resting his head on his hand with his middle finger pointing straight at you.  They.  Do.  This.  Shit.  On.  Purpose.

If there were any justice in this world, Obama would be rotting in a jail cell right now.

Ragin' Dave's Quote of the Day, Democrat Media Complex edition

From the comments to an Instapundit post:

Google News search:
Terry Bean = 15,700 hits
Elizabeth Lauten = 990,000 hits

Terry Bean is the Obama bundler and Democrat fund-raiser who also likes to have sex with children on the side.

Elizabeth Lauten is an obscure GOP staffer who made a snarky facebook post about the Obama kids, and who subsequently had to resign.

Hey, remember when national outrage forced Andrew Sullivan to resign after his unhinged, lunatic attacks on the Palin kids?  No?  Hmmmm.......

The Media is not your friend.  The Media is not reporting actual news.  The Media is doing nothing but covering up for their Democrat lords and masters.  Do not trust them.  Do not support them.  And do not ever rely on them for actual straight information - every bit of information that dribbles out of their diseased mouths must be viewed with distrust until it can be verified.  They are the American versions of Grima Wormtongue.

But that's unpossible!

My snark generator must be on high today, because as I was skimming this article, I came across this blurb:

Feid, an unemployed union carpenter, lives in a fortress of netting and plastic tarp with a cat named Baby. He's one of the 278 people who've claimed a spot in the thicket of cottonwood trees along Coyote Creek. He first moved here four years ago when he ran out of work.

And my mind immediately went "Wait, what?  A UNION man, unemployed?  But that's unpossible!  The Union would never let one of their people get unemployed for FOUR YEARS, would they?"

I'm willing to bet that this Mr. Feid gave thousands upon thousands of dollars to the union while he was working.  How much money could that have made Mr. Feid if he's put it into an IRA or mutual fund instead?  How much money was wasted so that the Unions could fill the pockets of Democrat American Communist Party politicians?

Don't ever join a union, folks.  They are not your friend, they do not help you, they do not assist you, they do not care about you.  You are nothing more than a money-earning rube that they use to curry political favors.  Period.

Oh, and do read the article.  You can get a good idea of what the Democrat overlords of California have in mind for the rest of the country.

Well, there's no white suspects

So the Democrat Media Complex can't spin it for their God-King Obama.  Therefore, it may as well never happened.

This follows a pattern - despite the supposed outrage over a young black man's death, even when that young black man was a dope-smoking, store-robbing, law violating thug gansta-wanna-be, if there isn't any white suspect to pin the blame on and thus stoke up the racial tension, then the media doesn't cover it.

Business as usual.

There was a young black man who was shot in the head, stuffed in a car and then someone lit the car on fire.  But there wasn't any white suspects, so the media doesn't care.

Don't think this isn't being done on purpose.

I love the rain

I love the sound of it, I love the smell of rain hitting the ground, I love the way it cleans the air.

And I love the way it drives all the Californians inside like the Wicked Witch of the West trying to stay dry, leaving me miles of jogging trails uncluttered by the usual group of people.  Just me, my dogs, and a good long run.

Had to go shopping yesterday

Needed groceries, and the Mrs. needed a few things.  So out we went.

Driving in Los Angeles is always a bad move.  It is just a never-ending chain of events that make you want to pull people out of their cars and beat them with golf clubs.  Every single negative stereotype that exists of California drivers are earned by Los Angeles.  Every.  Single.  One.  And if there are any negative stereotypes that you haven't thought of yet, just go ahead and add them in presumptively.

Luckily the shops we went to are staffed by awesome people.  I just wanted to kill about half the drivers on the road before we got there.

It rained last night

Makes me wish I'd been awake.  Last time it rained I was able to sit out underneath my patio awning and smoke a cigar, drink some coffee, and listen to the rain hit the metal roof.

You don't get that very often here, you know.

Saturday, November 29, 2014

I had a lazy day yesterday

I woke up late.  Ate leftovers.  Sat around with the Mrs.  Didn't leave the house.  The most productive thing I did was start a batch of mead, and that hasn't even started bubbling yet.

That was the first real lazy day I've had in a long time.

Addition by Subtraction

So the Seahawks shipped off Percy Harvin to the Jets for what amounted to a bag of peanuts and a hand-shake.  We already went over what was going on in the locker room.  The Seahawks were hurting as a team on the field.

Well, well, well.....  two division games against good teams, and two wins.  Not just wins, but beat-downs.

I wonder just how much getting rid of Percy Harvin is helping this team right now.  When you remove the thorn from your heel, you can run much better.  Percy Harvin was a thorn in Minnesota, and he was a thorn in Seattle.  We don't have all that many receivers right now, but we're obviously much better as a team without Harvin than with him.

Lots of people out right now

Doing their Black Friday shopping.

Not me.  Nuh-uh.  No sir.  I'd rather shave my nutsack with a rabid schnauzer.  Did that last year out of sheer necessity (needed new running shoes), and this year you couldn't pry me out of my house with a team of horses.  Unless it's to the range, because shooting things is fun.  So OK, maybe some range time, while every one else is off doing their Black Friday nonsense.

But for me, Friday is sleeping in, brewing, bottling what is ready, and just generally not getting out of my PJs unless I really want to.  Screw this Black Friday shit.  You want to know why it's called "Black" Friday?  Because that's the color your soul turns as you fight your way through the crowds, trying to save money on crap you don't need.

We just spent a day being thankful.  Do we now need a day of screaming "GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE"?

The Modern Day Leftist

You can just feel the insanity bleeding from your screen.  Don't get any on ya!

More riots last night

And I'm kind of at the point of saying "Meh.  Let the place burn".

I feel sorry for the business owners and shop keepers who are losing their livelihood to groups of thugs and criminals.  I truly do.  But over the past two decades I have been called everything but a white boy by the very same types of people who are now running feral through the streets.  I wish that those business owners were standing in front of their stores with rifles, and putting down the thugs who are destroying them.  I wish that the culture of St. Louis didn't allow for feral thugs to run through the streets while screaming about how Whitey is horrible.  But what I truly wish was that the culture of Ferguson didn't go off the rails when a dope-smoking thug who robbed a store and bounced the store owner off the wall and then attacked a cop, ended up getting shot for his violent actions.

Other than that, I really can't muster much emotion about it any more.

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

No Indictment for Darren Wilson

So naturally the vibrant youth of Ferguson, MO loot and burn.

If one of my business were burned, I would not rebuild there.  I would not repair.  I would salvage anything I could, and I would leave a burned out structure to remind people that if they don't want civilization, they don't get civilization.  And then I would get the hell out and never go back.

This poor bastard is probably wishing he'd never heard of Ferguson.  First his store gets robbed by a giant thug, and now it gets looted after that giant thug got shot while he assaulted a cop.

Here is the end result of LBJ's "Great Society".  Here is the end result of decades of Democrat policies.  Like the result?

Marion Barry died on Sunday

I didn't want to post anything, because that wouldn't have been nice on a Sunday.

Marion Barry was a crack-smoking, prostitute screwing corrupt asshole.  He was an actual misogynist, not the fake kind that feminists keep yelling about.  He proved just how stupid the voters in D.C. are when the re-elected him after he got out of jail for his drug-fueled whoring.  He was the epitome of every single negative stereotype you could have about a politician.

Naturally, he was a Democrat American Communist Party hero.

I wish he'd actually come around and smartened up before he died, but in the end I'm glad he's no longer screwing things up here on earth.  If that makes me a bad person, so be it.  But I cannot mouth empty platitudes about someone who just kept screwing things up by his arrogance, his greed, and his pride.

Monday, November 24, 2014

Chuck Hagel out as SecDef?

Well, he did the job Obama hired him to do - gut the military as much as possible while mouthing empty platitudes about a strong force.

Now under the bus he goes!

Can you imagine

What Russell Wilson could do if he had receivers on his team?

I mean seriously here, did anyone else know who Cooper Helfet was before yesterday?  Not me.  I've been rooting for the Seahawks since the mid-80s, and I didn't even know Cooper Helfet was a football player.  Now he's catching a touchdown for the Seahawks.

Hopefully he can catch a bunch more, because we need people who can actually catch the ball

Last Sunday after Petecost

Advent starts next week.

Don't even bother to look at the screen.  Just plug this into your speakers and turn it up, then close your eyes and listen to how joyous this song is.

Saturday, November 22, 2014

Would you like to know where I got some of my best work done?

On a patio, with a gin and tonic in my hand, and a cigar lit.

I was at a "training" event where I had spent the past three days in meetings and briefings and events, all trying to get to a point where I could even begin to come up with solutions to the issues I was facing, and I got more work done in two hours, sitting down with people in an informal setting over drinks and cigars with the right people.

Why am I bringing this up?  Because everyone is freaking out about the GOP heading home early for the holidays.

What, pray tell, do you think the GOP can do with the anti-American Democrat Party still controlling the Senate?  Do you think they can pass a bill and get it pushed through?  Do you want them to draw up their action plan and announce it on TV, thus giving the traitorous Democrats advance notice and time to plan a counter-attack?

I don't care if they're in D.C. or not.  I'm more than willing to bet that they're sitting on a patio with drinks and cigars, getting actual work done.  Let them enjoy the holidays, and then I want to see them tear the Democrat shitheads a new asshole.

Survivalist class today

You can read everything you want in a book, but for me being able to actually TOUCH and SMELL and TASTE the plants in question will stick them in my mind much better.  So the Ragin' Mrs. and I are taking a class to do just that.

I know how to catch and slaughter animals, and I know how to grow a garden.  I want to get better at finding foods.

Reaction to Obama Caesar's Imperial Announcement

The Democrats have been pining for Slavery ever since the Republicans took it away from them.

Thursday, November 20, 2014

The Emperor's Chamberpot

Obama Caesar has just shit all over every single legal immigrant in America.

I wonder how many of them will be voting next election?

The wages of uncontrolled immigration

Sweden now has 55 official areas where the police cannot go.

This makes me sick to my stomach.  These people's ancestors used to strike fear into the hearts of everyone who saw their sails on the horizon, and now they've given up control to the muslim immigrants, and they're bringing MORE in?  Swedish Ambulance drivers are requesting military grade gear to go into these areas because they're being attacked by the muslims there.

The statement that needs to be repeated is from this report about muslim rapists in Sweden:

Sweden, like the rest of the West, will have to come to terms with the fact that it can either have female equality or Muslim immigration. It cannot have both.

Too bad feminists in America only care about making a scientist cry over his shirt.  Imagine what they could accomplish if they actually gave a shit about women.

Another busy day

So I'm just going to link to this, courtesy of Insty:  My Obamacare Story in 1 Picture.  Nothing says success like a 181% price increase!  And as Insty puts it, this is the reason why Obama pushed off the increases until after the election.

One MIIIIIIIIIILLION Dollars!

Is what you would need if you had four kids who wanted to go to college.  The cost of college tuition crosses $260,000.  That's insane.

How 'bout this:  No.  There is nothing in college worth putting yourself a quarter of a million dollars into debt.  Especially since half of what gets "taught" in college is nothing more than Marxist indoctrination.  With the exception of the hard sciences, I'm willing to bet that you could get the same level of education off of watching YouTube videos, especially when I read things like this:

First thing I did was I gave my staff preemptive raises so I didn’t lose them. And we’re hiring. Which means I’m reading resumes and honors-thesis writing samples from major universities riddled with grammar and spelling errors….

Emphasis mine.  One of the things I have to do in my job is read essays written by people with Masters degrees.  Graduate level education.  And half of them seem incapable of following basic English grammar that I, in my uneducated state, can manage to piece together.  They are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt in order to get that Masters degree, and they can't write a one page essay better than me with my self-taught writing style.

No.  Just no.  The more I see coming out of the hallowed halls of higher education, the more I'm convinced that the entire system is a scam.

Update:  Yeah, it's a scam.  Can you imagine paying a quarter mil just to sit in class and have this happen?

Finally, on November 14, 2013, the class’s five “students of color,” accompanied by “students of color” from elsewhere at UCLA, as well as by reporters and photographers from the campus newspaper, made their surprise entrance into Rust’s class as a “collective statement of Resistance by Graduate Students of Color.” The protesters formed a circle around Rust and the remaining five students (one American, two Europeans, and two Asian nationals) and read aloud their “Day of Action Statement.” That statement suggests that Rust’s modest efforts to help students with their writing faced obstacles too great to overcome.

Rust is pretty much a liberal moonbat, but his heinous crime was correcting his student's grammar.  Of course he must be punished!

A few weeks later, a town hall convened to discuss the Day of Action’s charge of a “hostile and toxic environment for students of Color.” Professor Solórzano presented his typology of microaggressions to explain the school’s racial tensions. Protest organizer Kenjus Watson read a long bill of particulars justifying the Day of Action. Another black student argued that no reconciliation in the school was possible because Rust had not apologized for his transgressions. Several of Rust’s faculty colleagues in the Division of Social Sciences and Comparative Education attended; none publicly defended him.

Lunatics eating their own.  And people pay money to sit there in this toxic stew of Marxism and idiocy?  Hell no.  That's like paying for people to keep you stupid, ignorant, uninformed and abused.

Democrats try Fake Vote stunt, still manage to fail.

Seriously, there isn't a single thing they've done right on this vote.  Not one.  After years of obstruction, and covering for Obama, the Senate Dems tripped over their own feet again and made sure that Mary Landrieu would lose her run-off election by a huge margin.

Cry me a river.  That cheap tart needs to be removed from office, and I'm glad to see the people of Louisiana doing just that.

Yeah, I said cheap tart.  She was the "Louisiana Purchase" of the Obamacare trainwreck.

If I lived anywhere around Ferguson, MO

I'd be stocking up on ammo.

Lot and lots of ammo.

Whatever, Ebola Nurse

Ebola Nurse:  Stop calling me Ebola Nurse!

Sure thing there, Ebola Nurse.  I mean, too bad you didn't bother to follow quarantine, thus ensuring that your name would be as forgotten as every other medical worker who was exposed to Ebola.  Nope, you had to go tell people to fuck the fuck right fucking off while you did what you wanted even though you had been exposed to a highly deadly virus and might be contagious.

So go for another bike ride, Ebola Nurse.

Anyone remember....

When Rush Limbaugh coined the word "Feminazi", and all the Feminazis went apeshit over been accurately described?

Yeah.

Short version:  Time Magazine had a poll about what word to ban, and the word "feminist" was winning with over 50% of the votes.  So the Feminazis rallied, and screeched, and made horrible hooting sounds, and called their flying monkeys, and Time showed their complete and total lack of spine by pissing down their leg and removing the word "feminist" from their poll.

Things like this are why I haven't bought a Time in well over a decade.

Hey, when the vast majority of the public think that feminists are a bunch of shrill, over-bearing, hyper-sensetive harpies, is it really a good idea to prove the majority right?
