But that's unpossible!

My snark generator must be on high today, because as I was skimming this article, I came across this blurb:

Feid, an unemployed union carpenter, lives in a fortress of netting and plastic tarp with a cat named Baby. He's one of the 278 people who've claimed a spot in the thicket of cottonwood trees along Coyote Creek. He first moved here four years ago when he ran out of work.

And my mind immediately went "Wait, what?  A UNION man, unemployed?  But that's unpossible!  The Union would never let one of their people get unemployed for FOUR YEARS, would they?"

I'm willing to bet that this Mr. Feid gave thousands upon thousands of dollars to the union while he was working.  How much money could that have made Mr. Feid if he's put it into an IRA or mutual fund instead?  How much money was wasted so that the Unions could fill the pockets of Democrat American Communist Party politicians?

Don't ever join a union, folks.  They are not your friend, they do not help you, they do not assist you, they do not care about you.  You are nothing more than a money-earning rube that they use to curry political favors.  Period.

Oh, and do read the article.  You can get a good idea of what the Democrat overlords of California have in mind for the rest of the country.

Punch Back Twice As Hard

Steven Crowder gets sucker-punched by union goons in Michigan.  Obama yawnsThe Americans For Prosperity tent gets torn down after a Democrat screams "THERE WILL BE BLOOD!" on Twitter.  It's ignored by the National Socialist Democrat Worker's Party media and Propaganda Warehouse.

Fuck.  Them.  Up.

The next time some union goon starts beating on people, take a pipe to them so hard and so fast that they're eating their dinners through a straw for the rest of their miserable, pathetic lives.

They bring a knife?  We bring a gun.

Fuck 'em.  They're enemies of freedom, and pawns of a Marxist regime.  Fuck them to hell, and let them cry when all their violence comes back at them ten-fold.

Dear Jimmy Hoffa Jr.

Since you've incited your union goons and thugs to violence, it's only fair to warn you that if any of your goons and thugs attempt to attack me or my family, I will end their life by any means necessary.  It's clear from your language that you want to kill me and my family - that's the only way I can take your exhortations to "take those sons-of-bitches out".  And so if I should be attacked by a union goon, I must assume that they want to kill me, and respond in kind.

As an addition, fuck you, fuck your whore of a mother, and fuck the father you never knew because he didn't pay for the first time.  Fuck the horse you rode in on, fuck the goat that spawned it, and fuck the mountain it grazed on.  You and your union goons are a parasite on humanity, and if I ever meet you face to face you will get a small taste of your own medicine.  And I will enjoy it.  You will not.

That is all.

Wisconsin Update

Gov. Walker's bill has allowed school districts to improve service and eliminate deficits.

Don't look for this in the MSM, aka the Democrat Propaganda Machine.  It's doesn't advance the narrative.

How not to write a judicial decision

Presented by one Judge Sumi, or as someone described her (and I don't know where, but it rocked), Delores Umbridge.

If Sumi expects to have her decisions upheld by the state Supreme Court, perhaps she should take care to write them properly in the first place.   She will have trouble explaining how she justified interfering with the publication of  law in defiance with Wisconsin precedent, and I doubt that the Supreme Court will give her three tries to get that right.  Furthermore, her commentary about the legislature’s ability to work around her won’t exactly be seen as uninterested jurisprudence, either.
Now, she's a judge, which means that she should have at least a partial grasp on the law, right?  Perhaps if she was actually worried about the law rather than enforcing a pure political action via judicial fiat, it wouldn't have taken her three tries to get it right.  But then, this is Dane County, the home of Madison WI, a hole in Wisconsin surrounded by common sense.

How about we boycott them?

Public employee unions circulating boycott letters to businesses in Wisconsin.  Great.  "Nice business you got there.  It'd be a shame if anything happened to it!"

Members of Wisconsin State Employees Union, AFSCME Council 24, have begun circulating letters to businesses in southeast Wisconsin, asking them to support workers’ rights by putting up a sign in their windows.
If businesses fail to comply, the letter says, “Failure to do so will leave us no choice but (to) do a public boycott of your business. And sorry, neutral means 'no' to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members."

I'm really getting sick of the unions here in Wisconsin.  If anything, their actions have reinforced my opinions that modern-day unions are nothing more than a group of thugs waiting for an excuse to act out.

More Union Thuggery in Wisconsin

Since it's been proven that union goons, leftist idiots and collage marxists (but I repeat myself) can get away with breaking the law here in Wisconsin, they've decided to go out and show people what Democracy in Wisconsin looks like.

Upon arrival, members of the recall committee were encircled by union protesters carrying signs and a leader with a mega phone who began chanting and ranting loudly. They packed in tightly around the petition collection table so as to prevent those attempting to sign from doing so. At one point, a pro union protester, pretending to be interested in signing the petition, wrote profanity across a partially collected petition form, than began ripping up the completed petitions that were in close proximity.
The policemen who were there, and who were standing in close proximity to these events as they unfolded, did nothing to assist those collecting the petitions as they were being destroyed, despite such an action being a Felony under Wisconsin law. Police also did nothing to clear the walk way for citizens that wanted to sign the petitions. Recall Committee members received many phone calls the following day from Merill area citizens who stated that they showed up to sign the petition, but were too afraid to get out of their vehicles and approach the recall table.
Of course, what Democracy in Wisconsin looks like is Leftist thugs using violence to stifle their opposition, while unionized cops stand there and let it happen.
I am so pissed right now......

What happened to the Mob?

It got unionized.  I mean sure, if you're a mobster you can go out and break the law and reap quick monetary rewards, but in a union you can do all the formerly criminal stuff you used to do, but this time the Democrat American Communist Party will protect you!

In the letter to Wisconsin businessmen, however, we see why so-called collective bargaining is particularly corrupting to the police. Although the letter explicitly threatens only an economic boycott, when it is written on behalf of the police--of those on whom all citizens depend to protect their safety--it invariably raises the prospect of another kind of boycott. Can a businessman who declines this heavy-handed "request" be confident that the police will do their job if he is the victim of a crime--particularly if the crime itself is in retaliation for his refusal to support "the dedicated public employees who serve our communities"?
Sykes sums up the letter this way: "That's a nice business you got there. Pity if anything were to happen to it if, say, you didn't toe the line and denounce Governor Walker like we're asking nice-like." He's right. "Organized" law enforcement bears a disturbing resemblance to organized crime.

Just another reason why unions have outlived their usefulness.  Why don't the police show up with baseball bats and threaten to knee-cap the business if they refuse to support the unions?  That's about what's going on here.

Holy Insurance, Batman!

No wonder the Public Employee Unions in Wisconsin want to keep their sweet deals coming - they've got the game rigged to rip off the taxpayer two or three times in one fell swoop!

A few dozen districts have managed to dump WEA Trust insurance over the past few years, despite the protests of teachers and their union. Officials from many of those districts say they managed to save at least six figures their first year with a different carrier, and maintained steady rates in subsequent years, while still offering quality health coverage to employees.
Officials from other districts say they're also eager to dump WEA Trust coverage, but need their employees' anonymous claim histories from WEA Trust to share with other bidders. Several say they have never requested that information because they were told WEA Trust would punish them by pulling them out of local insurance pools, resulting in skyrocketing premiums.
Today many Wisconsin school boards consider themselves stuck with expensive WEA Trust health coverage, until state law is altered to take the identity of the insurance carrier off the collective bargaining table. Gov. Scott Walker's current legislative proposal would do just that, giving school boards the opportunity to freely shop for insurance and save millions of tax dollars for instructional purposes.
In fact, Gov. Walker recently cited WEA Trust as the #1 reason for collective bargaining reform.

There's always another shoe waiting to drop.

I can't STAND unions

So between the post below this one regarding the SEIU getting waivers because they can't afford Obamacare, and this article about the decline of the private sector unions (which can only be a good thing) and the growth of the public sector unions (horrible horrible horrible), I figured I'd toss out my personal dealings with unions and why I think they're the sleaziest piles of crap on earth.

Way back when Dave had gotten out of the Army and was living and working in Seattle, Dave worked for the one section of a hospital which hasn't been unionized.  When Dave had his job interview, he asked about wages.  He asked about vacation time.  He asked about sick leave.  In short, Dave asked about all those things that a prospective employee will be compensated with for his hard work.  Dave did not need a union.  And Dave brought enough experience with him to demand a decent starting wage, which Dave got.

Fast forward a couple of years, and a one or two of Dave's fellow employees has decided that he isn't being heard enough, and he wants union representation.  So he calls for a vote to unionize.  Thank god this co-worker was in the minority, because after being forced to sit down and listen to the union reps, this is what Dave learned.

Dave would no longer be able to negotiate his salary, the union would do it.
Dave would no longer be able to negotiate his vacation accrual, the union would do it.
Dave would no longer be able to negotiate his sick leave accrual, the union would do it.
For the privilege of having these rights taken away, Dave would be charged $150 a paycheck, which would go to the local Democrat politicians by way of union bosses.

Now here's the kicker - when Dave compared his wages, vacation and sick leave accrual against the other employees who were part of the local SEIU, Dave had better wages, more vacation accrual, and more sick leave accrual.  So the union was incapable of negotiating as well as Dave could with the Hospital administration, but wanted $300 a month for the pleasure of fucking Dave over at the bargaining table.

Everywhere I see a union, I see problems.  The unions protect more negligent and lazy employees than I can shake a stick at, and it costs the businesses who employ them day after day after day.  When a room-mate of mine waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in Kansas joined the local carpenter's union, he was amazed at how many union members showed up and smoked pot, then just hung out at the job site all day.  "We can't fire them, Dave.  They're union.  But they're too stoned to work, so they just hang out all day because we can't trust them with a hammer and nail."  Un-fucking-believeable.  When I visit Boston, and I see two telephone poles planted right next to each other, each of them carrying half what it should because the UNIONS won't allow so-and-so to hang their lines without such-and-such hanging their lines first, and so it takes an entire fucking YEAR to replace one aging telephone pole....

We need to call unions what they are - corrupt organizations who's sole focus in this day and age is to funnel obscene amounts of money into the Democrat American Communist Party's pockets.  They may have had a purpose once.  Hell, there may be a few out there who still DO have a purpose.  But if the majority of unions ceased to exist by the end of today, we would simply have less money in politician's hands and a more competitive work environment.  That's it.

You couldn't pay me to join a union.

Not the sharpest tools..

But they're tools nonetheless. The union member who assaulted Kenneth Gladney at the St. Louis Townhall meeting is filing for workers comp based on an injury he sustained while at the rally.

Which means that he was there on union business, and getting paid for it.

Tell me again who's astroturfing all these events?

You want to know why there are so many people getting screaming mad? Because of crap like this, that the Obamedia refuses to cover because it might make their liberal lord and messiah look bad. Because of crap like this, that would make anyone with two functioning braincells feel like they're living in Bizarro World. Because of crap like this, where the Democrat American Communist Party are bussing in their hired and paid for thugs to assault and intimidate honest Americans and shut down any debate, all the while claiming that those honest Americans are the thugs.

Fuck the Left. Fuck them sideways. After eight years of their hatred pouring forth like pus out of an infected abscess in America, it's like that infection has taken over the country and we're desperately trying to find a way to stop it without resorting to amputation. And I don't think we can.

More Union Thuggery

Over at Gateway Pundit.

It's amazing that the side that howled for eight years that dissent is the highest form of patriotism now wants to stifle all dissent. It's almost like they were LYING or something!
