Quick Linky

Because I don't have time to quote much of the discussion, but I think it needs to be read:

The Smallest Minority - Quote of the Day - We've Met the Enemy Edition

How can we fix this country without a civil war?  Is that even possible?

Snortworthy

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but just in case you haven't.....

What I have learned after discussions over the last several days with several journalists who either have regular access to the White House or are part of the White House press corps is that there is a growing sense that access is traded for positive stories -- or perhaps worse, an agreement that things learned will not be reported in the near term.
The White House is working hard to secure deals that yield fluffy, feel good commentary about the Obama White House. One American White House reporter used colorful terms to describe the arrangement. The reporter said, "They want 'blow jobs' first [in the press sense]. Then you have to be on good behavior for a bit or be willing to deal, and then you get access."

The Media has been nothing but a Fluffer for Obama long before he got elected, and now they want to cry about it.  Fuck them.  They've had their lips fastened to Obama's crotch for years.  This shouldn't be unfamiliar behavior.  Let them sink along with their Marxist Messiah.

Post tag

A while back, I had a commenter who objected to one of my tags I use for my posts regarding the Democrat American Communist Party.  The tag is "Domestic Enemies".  I swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign or domestic.  I label the Left for what it is, Domestic enemies of the Constitution.

Need proof?

"I don't worry about the Constitution on this"

Right there, he should have been tarred and feathered.  That worthless fucking cockholster should have been tarred and feathered, and then paraded around town naked with a sign hung around his neck that read "OATH BREAKER".

Thank God TeaParty has 'Left' to lecture us on how to behave at political rallies.

Happy April Fool's Day

How do you like the joke that our Constitution has become?

You laughing yet?

Oh by the way - this joke doesn't end at Midnight, either.  It's with us for good.  Yeah, I know, I'm just a real bundle of joy, ain't I?

Just think

If America had a free media instead of whores and propaganda artists for the Democrat American Communist Party, we'd have known about this before the election.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

Obama is a fraud.  But then, some people knew that before the election.  We were just called "racists".

There's hope for him yet!

Any guy who does this can't be all bad.

No. 1 cable news host Bill O’Reilly said Tuesday that he will personally write a check to cover $16,500 in legal costs for the father of a fallen U.S. Marine who sued the members of a church who picketed his son’s funeral.

Of course, now we have to educate him about the 2nd Amendment.

Went to Yahoo News yesterday

Clicked on a link, and found out the feed was from the Huffington Post.

Wow.

Is there any better way to prove that your "news" organization has devolved into a worthless pile of Leftist shit than feeding from the Huffinggas Post?

Suicide Bombers attack Moscow

These terrorists organizations responsible for this are going to find out that Russia doesn't play like the USA.

Something tells me

That more ranchers are going to be practicing the three "S" philosophy after rancher Robert Krentz was found murdered.

Shoot.

Shovel.

Shut up.

Is that harsh?  Yep.  But when the US government has completely abdicated it's responsibility to protect it's citizens, what else are you going to do?  Either you can fight, or you can be over-run by illegal aliens and other criminals who cross our border every day.  If I lived down there I'd travel with a scoped 30-06, and I'd shoot anyone crossing my land and let the coyotes have the bodies.  It's either that, or suffer the same fate as Mr. Krentz.

No thanks.  I want to die in my bed of sexual overexertion, not get shot by some border-jumping wetback who's carrying a kilo of coke for his brother in Ciudad Juarez.

Yeah, let the hate mail come out after THAT last little comment.

Expired Campaign Promises

I saw this over at KisP and had to pass it on.

If we had a free and functioning press instead of the whores, lapdogs, and Dem Cong Propaganda machine that we currently suffer under, Obama would actually face some heat for all his broken promises.

Get Ready to Die

Obamacare!  Hope!  Change!  Hope you can repeal this bastard before you have to suffer under it!  Go look at that timeline if you're not depressed enough already.  Not only will it kill the economy, it will literally kill people who are on Medicare.  It will kill the private insurance company.  It'll sink hospitals.  It must be repealed, or you will never have decent medical care in this country again.

The return of political theater.  The Marxist Messiah never plays to a crowd that he hasn't had picked out for him.  And he never answers questions that aren't pre-selected.  Follow the link to see the proof.

Civilization

Og has a post up, an analogy to these times we're living through.  Go read it.

Back now?  Good.

Americans, by and large, like to be left alone.  We're the only superpower in the world who has conquered countries in war, and then fixed them up and given them back.  Read that sentence again.  That's unheard of, or at least it was until the USA came along.  Americans by and large are isolationist, and would prefer to remain that way.  But the world won't let that happen, will it?

We conduct our domestic affairs in much the same way.  Sure, yeah, we all agree that we need some form of government, but the American tendency is to vote for some guy who will go to Washington and leave us the hell alone.  Only that's not working any more.  We haven't been left alone for years.  D.C. has been robbing us blind, only we've been in our houses trying to ignore the screeching of the hoodlums as they destroy our yards and our streets and our neighborhoods and our towns and our cities and on and on and on.....

We can't ignore it any more.  The criminals haven't just crossed the line, they've sprinted across it and are now battering down our front doors.  We can't be left alone, because we've allowed the criminals to invade our homes, take our food, rob our safes, shit on our floor and then demand that we pay to have it cleaned up.

There's only one good way to resist that kind of violence against us - with force.  Pure, unadulterated force.  And whether that force comes by ballot or bullet, only force will remove these criminals and their invasion against us.  We can't just lock our doors and ask to be left alone anymore.  Those times are over.  Now we have to fight for what we hold dear, because our enemies are destroying everything we've wanted preserved.  Our enemies are beating our freedoms and our liberties into the ground.  Our enemies are violating every trust we hold dear, and invading every aspect of our lives.  If you're not willing to stand up and fight for what you believe in, then you will lose what you hold sacred.

And understand that our resistance will be met with violence.  The Left is violent at it's core.  It's history and it's philosophy is drenched in the blood of hundreds of millions of innocent victims around the world.  It's ideology is based on violence against freedom loving people everywhere.  We will be attacked, physically attacked for standing our ground.  For my part, I will hold back until I'm struck, and then I will lay waste to each and every attacker until either they are dead, or I am.  My morals demand that of me.  But I will make them pay a dear price for their violence.

Get ready.  It might not happen tomorrow, or next month, but there will come a time when you are going to have to fight for your freedoms once again.  This travesty of a vote last week proved it.

Worthless, wasted weekend

I should have never gotten out of bed yesterday.  I should have never done anything.  Fuck.  Fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck.  Fuck this weekend.

Political Ads

I'm with Ace and SondraK - if the Republican Stupid Party had any balls at all, they'd run this picture on every campaign ad this year.

I may just make a graphic with that picture and send it to my Congresscritter, free of charge.

Taxpayer funded Viagra for convicted sex offenders

Another health care moment brought to you by the Democrat American Communist Party.

Fewer jobs?  Yep.  Both John Deere and Caterpillar are saying that this tragedy of a bill will cost them money.  About $250,000,000 between the both of them.

A quarter of a million BILLION dollars. That's a lot of jobs.  As the economy tanks and unemployment numbers rise, remember to thank your Democrat friends for your economic misery!

Taking Chance

I finally saw the movie last night.  It was hard to watch, but I felt like I had to.  I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried.  They did the entire subject justice, and treated it with honor.  If every movie Hollywood put out treated the military in such a fashion, I'm betting more people would go to the movies.

Rent it and watch it.

Weapons-Grade Logic

From my Main Man in the Pugetropolis, Phil at Random Nuclear Strikes:

So far over this last year, Congress has stated multiple times in multiple voices that Health Care is a “Right” and I have a “Responsibility” to buy insurance to cover my medical expenses so that my fellow citizens are not burdened by them. This was backed up by the President of the United States when he signed the legislation passed by the Senate in December and the House of Representatives on Sunday.
The new law also states that if I do not live up to my responsibilities of purchasing said insurance, that I will have a fine levied upon me.
Not in the most leftist history class was I ever instructed that fines could be levied upon “Rights”.

I'm going to be beating people about the head and shoulders with that all friggin' day long.

Quote of the day

Pulled from here:

As Alexis De Tocqueville observed: “Socialism is a new form of slavery.”

Damn skippy, Son.  And this country just got enslaved.  I expect that the battle to free ourselves from Government slavery is going to be twice as bloody as the first civil war.

I agree 100%

With Instapundit's prediction:

“Chicago Breaking News reported late last night that former Chicago schools chief and current Secretary of Education Arne Duncan manipulated a system to favor powerful political allies by placing their children in the schools of their choice. The discovery of a list, the existence of which had been long denied by the city, and its composition of mainly high-powered political figures calls into question the appeals system used to reconsider applications that had been denied by the top Chicago-area schools.”

Prediction: There’ll be special “lists” for powerful people who need kidney transplants, too.

Congress already has their own health care plan, and it doesn't look a damn thing like the hell that just got forced onto us.  You're damn skippy they'll have a list for organ transplants.  Little Suzy needs a kidney?  Fuck little Suzy, big bad Democrat Donor is getting that thing.

Count on it.

Hell, at this point I'm actually contemplating getting an RN degree once I retire just so that I can provide health care for my wife, because I damn sure don't trust the government to do it.

November

What we do this year, leading up to the election, is just as important as that travesty that happened Sunday. Call your representative.  Call the GOP.  Call your Senators.  Get the message out.  Hammer them with it.

What’s in a Big Mac?  Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun! That’s what’s in a Big Mac. We have got to understand that saying NO! to this socialism is admirable and essential, but that from now on there has to be a counter-narrative to what these Marxists are selling, because like it or not the human brain is wired for stories — that’s how we learn (and why the real fight is not for Washington but rather Hollywood — but that’s a story for another time.)
If we want to win on health care, or any other issue, we need to have an answer to what they are selling and that answer needs to be as simple and comprehensive as the Big Mac slogan.
Our position on health care?  Two tax incentives, health accounts, crossing state lines, tort reform, competition on an auto insurance bun. And if we don’t learn how to do this we will lose.

I'm in the process of composing letters to my Senators, and I'm still having a hard time writing without YOU FUCKINGSHITTYFUCKFUCKASSHOLES leaping out from underneath my fingers.  Call it a work in progress.  But it has to be done.  Otherwise, it's all over but the shooting, and I can see that coming real quick unless this headlong dive into socialism is repealed.

And I'm still buying lots of ammo.

Communist Cockholsters

So, the Democrat American Communist Party just voted to flush America down the toilet.

So noted.

As for all the communist cockholsters who voted their lords and masters into place to get us to this point?  The only bright note in this entire sad saga is that they'll be dying of neglect in their government ward just like I will.  I only hope I have a chance to piss on their grave before I go.

His business hours are Mon-Fri.  There were so many people calling his office today that I got nothing but busy signals until about 7:30 PM.

Yeah.  People are pissed.

New Walkway

I don't know how many cubic yards of dirt I just excavated by hand from my old walkway.  I'm covered in enough Tiger Balm to gag a horse.

OBAMA RESTORES ALL FUNDING TO ACORN

PASS THIS NEWS ON!

Link to original story is HERE.

In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag quietly ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.
Send this to your congresscritters.  Don't let the Communist in Chief fund his bullies and allies with your tax dollars!

*facepalm*

Obama blocking the sale of bunker-busting bombs to Israel?  Is that some more of that "smart" diplomacy I kept hearing about during the campaign?  Taking our ally in the Middle East and throwing them to the wolves?  Yeah, real fucking smart there, Leftoids.  Of course, the Democrat American Communist Party would be perfectly happy if Israel were destroyed tomorrow, so that they wouldn't have to worry about that little "Jew" problem they have - how to keep Jews voting Democrat when the Democrats absorb more and more anti-semetic stances with each passing year.

Gah.

Were I Israel, I would recognize that America is no longer friendly to democracy, and I would take whatever measures I had available to end the external threats against me.  And if that meant bombing the Middle East flat?  So be it.

2010 Census

Government Health Care

In a nutshell -

Effective April 16, Walgreens drugstores across the state won't take any new Medicaid patients, saying that filling their prescriptions is a money-losing proposition — the latest development in an ongoing dispute over Medicaid reimbursement.
The company, which operates 121 stores in the state, will continue filling Medicaid prescriptions for current patients.
In a news release, Walgreens said its decision to not take new Medicaid patients stemmed from a "continued reduction in reimbursement" under the state's Medicaid program, which reimburses it at less than the break-even point for 95 percent of brand-name medications dispensed to Medicaid patents.
Walgreens follows Bartell Drugs, which stopped taking new Medicaid patients last month at all 57 of its stores in Washington, though it still fills Medicaid prescriptions for existing customers at all but 15 of those stores.

Tricare is the same way - a lot of doctors simply won't accept new Tricare patients because the Government doesn't reimburse the doctors.  The only reason the health care system in this country stays afloat is due to the private insurance and private citizens who pay into the system.  If the government gets it's claws into healthcare, you can expect the entire thing to come grinding to a halt.  And then where will all those rich and famous people go to get health care?  Hell, where will YOU go to get health care, because I guarantee that most of us don't have the money to go jet-setting to a private, cash-only hospital in India or the Grand Caymans.

Proud to be from Idaho

And just another reason why Idaho is where I'll retire when that time comes:

Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter on Wednesday became the first state chief executive to sign a measure requiring his attorney general to sue Congress if it passes health reforms that force residents to buy insurance. Similar legislation is pending in 37 other states nationwide.
Constitutional law experts say the move is mostly symbolic because federal laws supersede those of the states. But the movement reflects a growing national frustration with President President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.

It might be mostly symbolic, but there are plenty of people in Idaho who would have no problem telling the federal gummint to go fuck itself when the time comes.  For that matter, there are quite a few people in Montana, Wyoming, and a whole host of other states that have had quite enough of the FedGov taking control, and the resulting failures that go with that.  It's only a small step from symbolic to something else.  And maybe the FedGov will need a not so gentle reminder that there are those of us who still believe in the 10th Amendment.  There are plenty of people in Idaho willing to give it that no-so-gentle-reminder.

So, did you check DANE's post below?

I did.  And I had to set my computer down and go do something else, because I'm friggin tired of it.  Obama won't let the US Flag fly over military operations in Haiti?

Obama the gutless fucking pussy.  Obama the spineless, anti-American bitch.  Obama the ball-less, anti-military cockholster.  Obama the America destroying douchebag.

That worthless fucking piece of shit.  That shallow, lying pile of crap.  Obama the god-damned communist.  Yes, god-damned.  I don't know how anyone like Obama can curry God's favor when they don't even believe in God.  No, Obama does not believe in God, and he screams it with every action he takes.  Yes, Obama is anti-American.  Obama is ashamed of America, and that is why he wants to destroy this country and remake it in his image.

And that worthless fucking anti-American piece of shit is the Commander in Chief.  Really.  I don't think the rest of the country can appreciate just how that makes me feel.  I'd give San Francisco to the damned ChiComs if it would get Obama out of that position.  I'd sacrifice every fucking Obama voter in the country on the fires of hell if it would get Obama out of the White House.

Just once, just FUCKING ONCE, I'd like to see Obama show a little fucking pride in the greatest country in the world, the country that elected him President.  But he can't do that.  He is fundamentally incapable of being proud of America, and that is because he hates America, and is anti-American to the core.

He makes me want to puke.  And the day he is removed from office will be the greatest day of my military career.

And for the rest of the country that put him there?  Fuck you.  Fuck you, fuck the horse you rode in on, fuck the goat that spawned it, and fuck the mountain it grazed on.  Fuck you, fuck your whore of a mother and fuck the father you never knew because he didn't pay for the first time.

Is that clear enough?  Or shall I repeat that?

Barack Hussein Obama, No Pledge, No Pin, No Flag

Yes, he dramatically quit wearing a flag pin
"You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a (flag) pin. Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for, I think, true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest..." -- Barack Hussein Obama
Yes he had Cuban flags in his Houston campaign office:
But he will salute Ghana's flag:
Ace : US Military Not Allowed To Fly Flag Over Compound In Haiti
Wouldn't want to offend the people who asses we are saving.
Army Times : Flap flies in Haiti over U.S. flag absence
The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.
...

France's tricolor, Britain's Union Jack and even Croatia's coat of arms flap in the breeze.

But the country whose contributions dwarf the rest of the world's — the United States — has no flag at its main installation near the Port-au-Prince airport
Gregory of Yardale : Americans Not Allowed to Fly Old Glory in Haiti
I guess Chairman Zero was hurt when his boyfriend, Hugo Chavez, suggested that US relief efforts were just cover for an invasion and occupation of Haiti.

Remind me again, why the Hell would anyone want to invade and occupy Haiti?
Remember how Obama removed the American flag from his plane?

Yes he worked for 20 years with an unapologetic terror bomber:

Pissing off the right people

When I first read Dan Riehl's post "Isn't it time to euthanize Reid's Wife?", I have to admit that I was taken aback just a tad.

And then the Left went apeshit.

Well, if it causes Leftoids to have mental breakdowns, it's worth reading, right?  And to a man, every Leftoid attacking Riehl can't address the fact that what Riehl uses satire to propose is what will be happening to anyone not high up in the government should Obamacare pass.

So fuck it.  I'll stand with Dan.  Why shouldn't we euthanize Dingy Harry Reid's wife?  Under Obamacare, if my wife suffered a broken back at the age of 69, she wouldn't be getting the best health care money could buy, she'd be getting the standard government-rate, "take a pain pill" health care.  Remember that?  "Maybe they shouldn't have surgery.  Maybe they should take a painkiller."  Didn't the Liberal Lord and Messiah say that in an interview?  Maybe if the shitheels in Congress would put themselves under the same healthcare plan they want to impose on us I might not view it so harshly.  But notice that The Teleprompter Jesus and all the CongressCritters made sure that they wouldn't be forced to use the new ObamaCare.  Oh no!  They'll still have their gold-plated health care, paid for by you and I of course, while the common peons deal with whatever their Lords and Masters give them.

The fucking worthless pieces of shit can kiss my ass.  Pull that plug, Harry!  It's what I would have to do.  So you do it too!

More publik skool success stories

Just....  ugh.

Great news today from the New York Times—if you happen to believe, that is, that every minute of your waking life requires intervention of one kind or another by the government or quasi-government forces. An article, by Winnie Hu, assures parents of enrollees at Broadway Elementary School across the river in Newark that there’ll be “no more sitting around after lunch. No more goofing off with friends. No more doing nothing.” Wow, are you feeling that tingling sensation up your leg?
Before Barack Obama’s election, his wife promised that Obama would “never let you go back to your lives as usual.” And Alejandro Echevarria, principal of Broadway Elementary, seems hell-bent not only on keeping Michelle Obama’s threat but making it a reality from the tenderest ages on.
In case you were worried that enforced play at recess was free of charge—or as Obama himself is fond of saying, “won’t cost you [the taxpayers] a dime—the cost of the program is $23,500 a year.

I wouldn't allow my child to stay at that school for any amount of time.  I want my child to learn, not to be forced to be a little mindless drone.

So, since I've obviously missed it

Just how long has Matt Damon been a fucktard?
Sad, really.  No, wait, it's NOT sad.  I hope that all the anti-troop movies continue bombing, and if the studio goes out of business?  Fine by me.  Maybe next time you'll do a movie where the good guys, aka OUR TROOPS, actually look good.

Nah, who am I kidding?  This is Hollywood.  They'll be doing the "US Troops as tortured monsters" schtick for decades to come.  And in the meantime, every time I see Matt Damon I'm going to think of this:

The fuckwad.

Tear it down!

The Other McCain links to a post about School Reform, and I think both of them nail it pretty good.  American Power details the problems facing school reform:

'll just add, first, that I'm in sympathy with Left Coast Rebel's sentiments on the Obama plan: "It will just be more centralization and federal control when the educational system needs the opposite - more local control and privatization." But second, I'm also concerned that even the best privatization and voucher programs will leave the disadvantaged with continued struggles (see another essay on that from Dianne Ravitch, today at LAT) -- and more, I'm skeptical that Obama's even serious about the schools; and mostly, I see society's larger cultural collapse as an enormity that the schools alone can't handle. Increasing wireless communications in the classroom, combined with a gangsta-loving anti-intellectualism among large numbers of kids, makes holding student attention nearly impossible nowadays. I don't have the answers, obviously. But any effort to increase local control has to be tied with a fundamental rethinking of the role of families in education. How do you get administrators, teachers, parents, and kids on the same page?

McCain pulled his kids out of school and home schooled them, and has a damn good reason why:

t’s the system.
The American public education system is built on false premises, and has become an ossified bureaucratic mess by decades of accretions — accumulated layers of “reforms” that were intended to patch this or that observable problem. None of these “reforms,” however, contemplated the possibility that the structure of the system itself (i.e., the provision of “free” education by the government on the basis of residency in a particular school district) was the essential problem.
There has been no general improvement in academic results because this system is inherently closed and limited. There is no choice and no flexibility because the structures of the system prevent such things and, realistically, these structures cannot be reformed in any meaningful way. The system is what it is, and so long as it exists, the problems are what they are.
There is only one ”reform” that works: Get your kids out of the system.

The one real grief my parents have about my upbringing is that they left me in a publik skool.  I often wonder just how different my life would have been had I stayed in private schools while growing up.  Or Catholic schools.  Or charter schools.  Basically any school other than the feral hellhole I spent my formative years in.

Meh.  Go read both links, and if you have kids, make plans to pull them out of the publik skool sistim as soon as possible.

WTFF?

What the Fucking Fuck?

Can someone explain to me why a Republican ANYTHING Caucus would endorse a flaming IVAW protester (if you're not sure what the IVAW is, go here and just start searching), a former A.N.S.W.E.R. compatriot, Communist Party USA member, the list goes on and on and he's being endorsed by a REPUBLICAN GROUP???

And who was it that was whining when Beck said that the Republicans and Democrats are the same?

Daylight Savings Time

Did you all set your clocks ahead yesterday?

And can someone tell me just what application Daylight Savings Time has in the modern era?  Because right now I can't think of a single reason to keep DST other than "Well, we've always done it that way!"  I say scrap it.

Just plain wrong

I think I now know why the Left is so anti-Christianity.  Because Christianity gets in the way of the worship of their true god and lord, Barack Hussein Obama.

Take a look at this flaming piece of bullshit put out by the NY Times Obama Fellatio and Propaganda Brigades.  Just look at it!

(and since the picture doesn't want to stay on this post, just go click the link already!)

Are you fucking kidding me?  And this coming during Lent, the season in which we remember just what Jesus Christ went through, leading up to his death on the cross, and the NY Times Democrat Propaganda Machine wants to put a cross on their Lord and Messiah in order to make a political point.  Notice the halo around his head?  Can you actually fucking believe this bullshit?

That's sacrilegious right there.  Which shouldn't surprise me, seeing as how the Left never misses an opportunity to shit all over Christianity unless it's the politically correct variety.  But that's what it comes down to - the hard core communists that make up the Left have to attempt to deify the Marxist Messiah in order to hide what he truly is - an anti-American dictator wanna-be who should be tarred and feathered, then ridden out of town on a rail.  I'd love to say that he's nothing more than a pathetic fucking joke, but anyone who is attempting to destroy this country in the manner Obama is doing isn't a joke, he's a threat to this country's very survival.  And anyone who aides him in that goal is also a threat.

And the New York Propaganda Whores try to make him to be God.  Because that's what they consider him.  The reason I call him the Liberal Lord and Messiah is because that's what he is, and he's worshipped by the other communists as their savior, and they'll do anything they can to protect him.  They'll do anything to push him along, just like they did during the election, and right now I'm just wanting to stockpile ammunition and wait for the shooting to start, because I don't know if this country can be saved when so many people worship an outright fucking parasite who's core values and beliefs are antithetical to the very country he supposedly leads.

We are so fucking screwed.

The word of the day is....

Patience.

I need some.

Fuck Yeah!

Fucking fuck yeah!  Damn, but I'm proud to be from Idaho!

Businesses small and large are the backbone of Idaho’s economy. They employ our citizens, who in turn can provide for their families. Businesses and individuals also pay reasonable taxes that enable State and local governments to provide such essential services as public schools and public safety. And make no mistake: Any business that doesn’t pass along its operating costs to consumers – including their tax bills – doesn’t stay in business for long.
Of course, Oregon businesses can choose to accept their higher tax burden, and many will. After all, I understand that the quality of life over there is pretty good. But they have nothing on Idaho in that regard.
For those Oregon businesses facing a decision about whether to lay off employees or close their doors entirely, I have a proposal: Move to Idaho. The Tax Foundation rates our corporate tax burden at 17th in the nation, compared to Oregon’s ranking of 31st.   Our individual tax burden is lower, too. Those kinds of numbers can make a real difference to a bottom line.

Of course, by inviting Oregon businesses, you invite some of the Oregon loony nutcases who elected their Socialist government in the first place.

Any conservative Oregonians want to move on over to counterbalance that?  DANE - you feel like moving East?  Rivrdog - My dad can hook you up with a great marina that he docks the Hololani at.

Let's talk!

And thanks to Phil for the heads up!

I got nothing today

Sorry.  I'm in the middle of a class I have to finish up, and between that and work my time gets sucked up real quick.  Last night the Ragin' Mrs. and I actually sat down and watched a movie for the first time in a long time.

I kinda feel like this guy.

Except without all that fun.

Gonna keep hammering away at it

Because it ain't going away on it's own.  And this is a must read.  This guy gets it.

This is what the military is going to do at every decision point.  Get used to it.  If DADT is repealed, your military will be endorsing things you would vote against.  It will be endorsing things you would keep your kids away from when they’re done in public.  And it will become the battleground for gay advocacy groups wanting to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, which provides that the federal government recognizes only traditional marriage, and that traditional-marriage states need not recognize gay marriages concluded elsewhere.
The challenge to DOMA is already being mounted as part of the military study on repeal of DADT.  It had to be.  This had to happen, and it was easy to foresee long ago, which is why I predicted it last year.  Gay partners will of course demand the same family services and acknowledgment of relationships that traditional families get in the military.  And of course, the Defense Department will be governed in this matter by DOMA.  Changing what DOD does will mean gutting DOMA or getting it overturned.  However the issue is handled, it will become a precedent for every other federal agency and all the states, and is likely to generate a flood of new lawsuits.

Folks, the hue and cry to repeal DADT and push to allow open homosexuality in the military has nothing to do with military readiness.  In fact, it would be detrimental to military readiness just because of all the extra bullshit the military would have to do in order to accommodate a tiny minority of the population.  No, this is about pushing forward a political agenda and using the military as the battleground.

Fuck that noise.

And one final note is that that’s not because of what the military is.  It’s because of what America is.  If the US military could acknowledge homosexuality and yet also allow others in the ranks to believe it’s wrong and refrain from endorsing it, or even just allow them despise it, shy away from it, or crack jokes about it, as young men in particular often do, there would be no problem.  That’s how some other militaries come to terms with open homosexuality:  they let straights who don’t want to endorse it go their own way.  This means – yes – gays sometimes get their feelings hurt.  It may even mean they are discriminated against unofficially, by seniors who base judgments about them (e.g., regarding promotion) in part on their sexual orientation and lifestyle.  The seniors may even be right – as they are likely to be, much of the time – and they aren’t then second-guessed as an institutional operating principle, or assumed to be wrong or to have unlawfully discriminatory “thoughts” in their heads.  (None of this means gays have no recourse against being assaulted, of course; they have that because they are human beings, not because they’re gay.)
But we don’t do it that way in the USA.  The reason repealing DADT must mean the military will put its institutional imprimatur on homosexuality, and require everyone in uniform to demonstrate fealty to the military’s affirmative endorsement of it, is that in the USA, we coerce institutional closed-mindedness by not only punishing thought and speech with litigation, but actively seeking thought and speech to punish.

DO NOT listen to all the shrieking about "IT'S NOT FAIR!"  The military isn't about being fair, it's about winning wars.  And this push to admit open homosexuality will weaken that mentality.  It wouldn't be the end, it would be just the beginning.  Read it all.  Then print it out and mail it to your Congresscritter.

Just Wow

The Botoxed Bitch of San FranSicko just told America that they need to pass the Healthcare Bill to find out what's in it.

Yeah.

Nancy Pelosi is proof that we need to wall off San Francisco from the USA in order to prevent the infection from spreading.  Kinda like in 28 Days, but instead of the Rage Virus it's the Stupid Virus.

The best quote about this whole bullshit bill came from Mark Steyn somewhere - The government healthcare bill is not about healthcare, it's about GOVERNMENT.  They don't give a shit if they drive America off a cliff just as long as they get their power that they so desperately crave.  And if this bill gets passed, and every last Democrat American Communist Party Member gets voted out off office it's still a win for the anti-American Left, because the GOP doesn't have the balls to repeal the bill!  So they'll STILL have their control and their government takeover.

I need more ammo.

Hmmmmmm.....

One person wonders if Obama is smoking more than cigarettes.

One person thinks that Obama is going to legalize drugs.

Have any of my readers spent a goodly amount of time around a true dope-head?  It's like being around these guys:

I'd rather castrate myself with a belt sander.  I'd rather circumcise myself with a chainsaw.  And that's just pot.  Once you get around the addicts who use meth, or coke, or crack, or heroin?  Good-friggin-night.  They would slit their mother's throat for another hit.  You think you matter in their world?  Only the next high matters, and they'll do whatever they can in order to get that high.

It's like Democrats with money and power.  You don't matter to them.  They'll woo you with soft words and pleasant lies, but that's only so they can rob you blind and kick you to the curb once they get what they want.

Blah.

Was 'Hurt Locker' anti-Military or not?

Sure the director got to burn her ex-husband so she probably carried off the Oscar based on the angry-woman vote. And sure she said the right things about the military she may have defamed in her Oscar acceptance speech.

But was the film truly anti-Military or just implicitly anti-Military because of it's protagonists' angst? Perhaps it was pro-Military in the sense that he was the exception that proves the rule of concientious, and sane, service by Americans in uniform? Certainly Avatar was self-delusion agit-prop and perhaps the defeat of that film was in itself some small sign of advocacy for our service men and women.

My impression was tainted by my memories of the movie "War Lover" starring Steve McQueen. But as WWII was so clearly a 'good war' an exception like Steve McQueen's character is less risky in it's portayal of excess.

So I invite comment to educate me.

Publik skoolz

Yep.

And here's what really sets my teeth on edge - that because I opposed Comrade Obama, the Liberal Lord and Messiah, those people called me an idiot.

Yeah.  You go with that.

Back to the grindstone

Went TDY, saw some family, had dinner with a fine gentleman, and now I'm back.  You may have wondered why I threw up all the tunes.  Part of it was that I was busy as all hell.  Part of it was that I wanted a slight change of pace while I was running around like crazy.  And part of it.....

Well, let's be blunt, shall we?  Part of it was that if I had focused on politics last week, I would have been arrested for ripping off people's arms and then beating those people to death with their own limbs as they bled out.

The Jim Bunning affair - remember a while back when I said that the Republican Stupid Party is just like the Democrat American Communist Party?  Remember that?  Well, here was the perfect chance for the GOP to stand on their principals.  Here was the perfect opportunity for the GOP to actually do what they claim to want to do, and they did.....  nothing.  Actually, they did WORSE than nothing, they joined ranks with the fucking communists and shit another ten billion dollars down a rabbit hole that they KNOW they can't pay for after they just passed a bill that said they have to be able to pay for the bills they pass.  WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?!?!  This could have been an opportunity to slow down the growth of the government by a teeny-tiny bit, and given that opportunity, the Republicans did just what lost them the 2006 and 2008 elections - they acted just like the GOD DAMNED FUCKING BIG GOVERNMENT COMMUNISTS OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!

They had a chance to stand on principal.  And they didn't just blow it, they blew it straight to hell.  This country is out of money.  Period.  And the response from both parties is to spend more.  Great.  I'm spending more as well, only I'm stockpiling ammunition because once this economic house of cards starts tumbling I want to be prepared.  I'm pretty certain my elected representatives are sick of hearing from me by now, but that's too bad, I'm still writing.

If you haven't seen this article on how the FedGov is a damaged brand, go read it.  Damaged?  Try wrecked.  This country is being led by a complete and total phony.  A phony that a majority of the people in this country voted for, in part because the press in this country was wholly bought and paid for whores for the man.  And they still carry his water like the good little propaganda organ it is.  Oh, you don't think so?  Then ask yourself how a registered Democrat can be a "Right Wing Extremist".  Yeah.  Howdya like that Kool-Aide?  By the way, when you see an Obama voter, can you ask them how that whole "Obama will heal our world reputation!" thing is going for them?  Because from what I can tell, well.....  yeah, not so much.  And every time I meet one of those folks who voted for Obama because of "all that spending Bush did!"  Yeah.  And I make them own it.  I'm not a popular guy right now in certain circles, especially when I'm asking "So, when you claimed to be against all that spending, were you actually dumb enough to think that Obama wouldn't spend more, or were you just a liar?"

Fuck being nice.  Nice gets you shit on.  I want people to wake the fuck up, and I'll be the not-so-nice guy banging that bell as loud as I can.

So I needed a week off, because otherwise I would have gone into overload.  The light at the end of the tunnel is the oncoming train, and I'm trying to find a way off the tracks before I get flattened by the Big Government Express.  My blood pressure needed a break.

Let's see what the next week brings.

Let's see here...

I've put up Lionel Hampton, Anita O'Day, and Benny Goodman...  Let's tie this all together with the guy who used to drum for all of them:  Gene Krupa.

And we'll finish it up with "Let Me Off Uptown".  Gene Krupa, Anita O'Day, and Roy Eldridge.  The dancing is a little corny, but the music is smokin'!

Enjoy!  Your rants about politics will resume shortly.

Little Known Facts

Did you know that Ray Charles got his start in Seattle?  He used to play on Jackson St. back in the 50's.

Uh huh!

And this one kinda parallels my old life in Seattle, before the charming guy you all know as "Ragin' Dave" was even created.

Little Known Legends

Here's another jazz legend that I've been able to see live, and since I'm in her old stomping grounds (and mine!) I figured I'd introduce you all to her.  Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Earnestine Anderson.

Fly me to the Moon

Sorry, you have to go to YouTube for that one, there's no embedding.  But there is on this:

Traveling

And it's a long one today.  But since you shouldn't go without good tunes.....

You know, I once asked a young girl from Harlem if she knew where Duke Ellington used to play.  She had no idea who Duke Ellington even was.  I think I cried.

Enjoy.  I'm out for the day.

Thank you Rep. Ryan

Hallelujia!

KILL THE BILL!  I have no problem being the Party of No.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child when they want to eat candy for dinner instead of healthy food.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child when they want to spend all the money on a trip to Hope-n-Change park instead of paying the bills.  "No" is what you tell a three-year-old child who is throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of a shopping mall.

"No" is a necessary word in the English language.  And if you're surrounded by squalling brats, "No" needs to be said.

Sultry

When I first heard this woman sing, my jaw dropped.  She had a voice that could go from playful to "come hither" in no time flat.

Enjoy!

Ummmmmmmmm.......

So, let's say you base your religion off of a book.  Half of said book is the details of one group of people living in the same area of the world for thousands and thousands of years.  Wouldn't it make sense to look at the book your religion is founded from, notice that the group of people it describes still exist in the very same location, and say "Hey, maybe those people belong there"?

Not if you're the Presbyterian Church of the USA.

The Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUSA) isabout to release a report which denounces Israel as a “racist” nation which has absolutely no historical, covenantal, or theological right to the Holy Land. The report calls for the United States to withhold financial and military aid to Israel and for boycotts and sanctions against Israel. That’s not all. The report also endorses a Palestinian “right of return” and “apologizes to Palestinians for even conceding that Israel has a right to exist.” According to the press release, it also states that Israel’s history begins only with the Holocaust and that Israel is “a nation mistakenly created by Western powers at the expense of the Palestinian people to solve the ‘Jewish problem’.”
In addition, PCUSA has also resolved to divest incompanies that supply military equipment to the American Army, e.g. Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, etc.

Let me cordially invite the PCUSA to open their Bibles, (you know, that book that your religion is based off of) and turn to the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Kings, hell just open up the Old Testament and start reading it..  That would be the section of the Bible that details the Jews existence in Israel.

If this report coming out is real, and not the concoction of an Onion story, the PCUSA has gone off the edge and can now be considered just another nutcase religion.

More Music

In my push to highlight actual musical talent rather than the junk being pushed today, here's a couple more videos of people with more musical talent in their left nostril than the collective R&B scene put together.

I got to see Lionel Hampton play live when I was in high school.  The University of Idaho has the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival every year, and we made there twice.  The highlight of the festival is the concert at the end, where jazz greats get on stage and just play their heart out.  I don't quite know how old Hampton was at the time, but he still had it.  He would just stand up there and play, and we would all go nuts.  I can say that I've seen one of the true greats play jazz live.

So on that note, here's a clip of "Jam Session"

And here's the same song from yesterday - Airmail Special.

Enjoy!

Yeah, sure

Tell me again how all the changes Obama wants to push onto the military is all about making the military better, and not just some politically correct bullshit social experiment that the Left enjoys pushing on the DoD?

The military is not a civilian job.  The military is not the same as the civilian world.  The military is not there so that whiney little asshats can experience "fairness".  I don't give a shit how TOLERANT you want me to be.  I'm not some brain-dead fucktard who embraces "DIVERSITY" just because other brain-dead fucking retards tell me I should do so.

Has there ever been a change the Democrat American Communist Party pushed on the military that made it better?

True talent

Most of the so called "singers" today couldn't sing their way out of a paper bag, even with producers making them sound good through the joys of digitization.  No talent hacks, making their way in the world by showing their tits and pussy rather than any kind of musical talent.

So is it any wonder that my music collection is filled with this instead?

Enjoy that earworm.

Obama slaughtering civilians

Barack Hussein Obama smearing our troops on the "good war" in Afghanistan :
"We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.”
Well it took a whole year... but now Barack Hussein Obama is "just air-raiding villages and killing civilians", via Sweetness & Light : NATO Air Raiding Villages, Killing civilians
Mr. Obama now has everything he ever wanted in Afghanistan.
He has his surge, he has his international forces (at least for the moment), he has his massively restrictive rules of engagement on our troops.
What is the problem?
No, I don't think our troops are "air-raiding villages and killing civilians" and it is a war-crime for out of uniform combatants to hide behind civilians. But Barack Hussein Obama is a liar who smears our troops constantly and takes credit for other's leadership he condemned and our troops are winning in spite of him, so eF him and the high horse he rode in on.

Short, snarky answers to questions unasked

Two posts at HotAir made some snark jump to my mind, and not very polite snark either.  The first headline - CNN Poll:  69% support letting homosexuals serve in the military.  Oh really?  Tell me, exactly just how much sway would this poll hold if it were predicting a presidential election?  Knowing the sheer liberal bias of CNN, why the hell should I listen to a poll of theirs without a counterbalancing poll?

Second - how very fucking TOLERANT of them to support that.  Now if they would have gotten off their asses and enlisted, I might give a fuck about their opinion.  Is that harsh?  Good.  I hope it was.  We had recruiters practically begging qualified people to enlist, and we had to lower the fucking standards to allow people to get in that we would have turned away ten years ago.  But now those same people who were too fucking good to join the military want to tell us how to run it?

FUCK.  YOU.  GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY HIDE AND GO FUCK YOURSELF.

Have I made myself clear?  Do I need to repeat that?

Second headline - GEN Casey has serious reservations about repealing "Don't Ask Don't Tell".  Ladies and Gentlemen, don't fool yourselves into thinking that the military is just hunkey-dory with Obama's push to repeal DADT.  We're just not allowed to shriek as loudly as the oh-so-fucking TOLERANT people who call anyone who opposes them bigots and haters.  General Casey has probably gotten more than an earful from commanders all across the Army who have flat out told him "If you do this, we're losing half of the force."  I have Chaplains who are afraid that if this push occurs, their endorsers will yank that endorsement.  Which means that entire swaths of Chaplains will no longer be eligible for duty. And if your response to THAT is "Oh well who cares" that tells me you don't have a clue what Chaplains do.

There are commanders out there who will have to deal with the total and complete clusterfuck that will be the result of repealing DADT, who can see that gigantic ball of shit rolling downhill right at them, and they don't like it one single bit.  And they are letting the Chief of Staff know about it.  Casey to me is nothing more than a politician in uniform, but he is getting absolutely hammered by the Soldiers who are going to have to deal with the end result of political correctness enforced by the oh-so-TOLERANT people behind this push.

This ain't a game.  And Casey is being made aware of it.

Anyone want to yell at me for a bit?  Be prepared to get what you give.

And here's my problem

With the whole "just legalize drugs" movement.  Because as of right now, and for the foreseeable future, drug users are going to cost society a whole shit-ton of money in medical bills and criminal activity.  And if you're going to cost society money, then society has the right to tell you just what the fuck you can or cannot do.

The top ten drug addicts that visited Harborview Medical Center ER back in 2003-2004 cost the hospital over one million dollars.  Think about that.  That's over 100,000 per person, to treat what is essentially self-inflicted damage.  One woman, a heroin junkie who kept stabbing herself with dirty needles, cost my hospital over half a million dollars to treat her repeated MRSA infections, and that's just the monetary damage.  That doesn't take into consideration the fact that this woman was such a wretched, horrible thing that she caused an entire shift of nurses to refuse to come into work until the woman was transferred or discharged.  I remember getting called up to the floor to deal with that particular patient.  I came down a back stairwell, the patient didn't know I was there, and I got to witness a shit-flinging temper tantrum of epic proportions.  This woman was throwing trash, yelling, screaming at the nurses "I WANT MY GOD-DAMNED MORPHINE YOU FUCKING BITCH!  GIMME MY MORPHINE YOU FUCKING COCK-SUCKING BITCH!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!  FUCK YOU!"

Oh, but when I showed up it was "Oh, they're so mean to me!" (simper simper simper).  "They're so abusive to me!"  (whimper whine pout)  "I never yelled at them!  They're lying about me!  Why are they lying about me?"

When I pointed out that not only did I hear her yelling, I was standing not fifteen feet away as she did so and I didn't enjoy being lied to, she then became abusive towards me.  "FUCK YOU, YOU GOD-DAMMED ASSHOLE!  YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE!"  So on and so forth.  And all of this was done on a crowded hospital floor, in full view of everyone because this thing wanted her morphine.  I guess when you're shooting heroin into your vaginal lips because you've collapsed all the other veins with your drug habit, hospital morphine might be a bit light.  But I really don't give a shit, because the nurses were having to dress in biohazard suits to deal with the massive infections this thing had giving itself with it's drug habit.

Oh, and this thing had two children, both of whom were taken away by the state.  And all of this was done with your tax dollars.  This one woman consumed more tax dollars in three years than I have been able to produce in my lifetime.  And she consumed all those tax dollars because of her drug habit.  Think about that.

Now, if you tell me that drugs should just be legalized, I'm going to ask you several questions - first and foremost, how are you going to limit the cost of that drug use to society?  And since nobody has been able to answer that first question, I'll leave it right there for the time being.

How will you negate the cost that drug use imposes on society?  When the hospital bills start rolling in; when the cost of end-of-life care begins rolling in, and with some of these drugs that cost is coming earlier and earlier.  Yeah, you're 35 and you have osteoporosis?  You were a meth-head, and now your bones break if you stand up too fast?  Wow, that sucks.  And that sucks up tax dollars as people go to the doctor to deal with it.  Oh, you used drugs and now you have no teeth, and you want the government to provide you with dental care?  Oh, you had your kids taken away by the state because you spent your twenties in a drugged-out haze?

The cost of drug use in society costs us millions, if not billions of dollars currently.  If you're taking my tax dollars and using them to deal with those costs, then personally I have no problem with prohibiting drug use.  Just like I would have no problem giving drug tests to welfare recipients.  You're taking tax money to live on, you don't get to spend your money on drugs.  Sorry, but if you don't like it then either stop doing drugs or get the hell off welfare.

If someone can come up with a sufficient answer as to how to prevent drug use from costing society, then I'll freely admit that the government should back off.  But until that happens, and my tax dollars are going to the medical bills of some junkie?

Keep that shit illegal.

Doubling Down on Stupid

I'm not a Bill O'Reilly fan. I didn't have any particular animus against him, I just didn't watch him. Well, that and the fact that I don't have TV in the house, but even when I was in a hotel with Fox News I still wouldn't watch his show. In Seattle I might listen to his radio show from time to time. But watching him on TV, I thought he was a bit pompous and overblown. Other than his takedown of Bawney Fwank, I don't get much enjoyment from his show.

Well, even that's over and done with.

I saw it first on Rivrdog - Bill O'Reilly supports gun confiscation.

Then I saw it on Instapundit.

Now, Insty is reporting that O'Reilly is doubling down on his stupidity.

When the hell are people going to learn?
