Taking Chance

I finally saw the movie last night.  It was hard to watch, but I felt like I had to.  I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried.  They did the entire subject justice, and treated it with honor.  If every movie Hollywood put out treated the military in such a fashion, I'm betting more people would go to the movies.

Rent it and watch it.

Very well done movie - respectful, moving. Much better than the Hurt Locker.

I saw this movie last year when it was on HBO. I DVR'd it for my Dad to watch when he came over and it's still on my DVR. First I have to say I was surprised by how well the movie was done considering it was HBO. And I have to agree with you Dave, I couldn't watch it without a box of kleenex and I ain't ashamed to admit it either. I'm not sure about Kevin Bacon's politics but he did a great job as LtCol Mike Strobl and they paid great homage to LCpl Chance Phelps and the whole Marine process of bringing home The Fallen. Everyone should see this movie.

Two thumbs up.
