I was wrong in thinking that it was just the result of Russia's famous maintenance combined with shutting down of the pipeline for a month.  Nope, this was Drooling Joe's puppet masters deciding that a hot war with Russia was just fine if it means they get to keep control over Europe's power supply.

And let's not forget that the only reason Putin was getting ready to roll tanks into Ukraine was because Drooling Joe's puppet masters suck so bad at diplomacy that they were forcing Putin's hand.  The US Government was using Ukraine as their money laundering operation for a decade but that's not the worst of it.  The USA was operating biolabs in Ukraine and the US government had to admit it.  Oh, first they denied it, but when the proof came out they couldn't hide anymore and had to say "Oh, THOSE biolabs!  Oh, yeah, so....  like, they're not for WEAPONS or anything...."

In other words more bullshit from the lying liars who lie.

I was always suspicious about Drooling Joe's denial about the USA's responsibility on Nordstream, but to be honest I'd read enough from actual oil engineers who pointed out what could happen to think that maybe it was, if not a coincidence, at least the result of stupidity and less-than-optimal work.  Combine that with my desire to really, really REALLY not want to USA to be that stupid, evil, despotic and greedy.

I was wrong.  Drooling Joe and his puppet masters really are that stupid, evil despotic and greedy.  And Drooling Joe is fumble-fucking us into a hot war with Russia.

Having seen Disney's new woke-toon, I can say it's worse than I first thought

Did the Military Violate Religious Rights During the Mandate?

Someone asked me if I was going to stay in now that the mandate was lifted.

Fuck no I'm not.  I don't trust the "leadership" of the military.  Not at all.

If Drooling Joe wanted to make sure China won a war, what would he do different?

 I mean, ensuring death and injury to the troops seems to be one way to make sure the USA loses.

The leaders reviewed the threat profile of the Chinese stratospheric balloon and possible response options, and ultimately decided not to recommend taking it out kinetically, because of the risk to safety and security of people on the ground from the possible debris field. Pentagon leaders presented the options to President Joe Biden on Wednesday.

A senior administration official confirmed that Biden had been briefed and received a “strong recommendation” that the balloon not be shot down.

Biden is a drooling Chinese hand puppet, he's not going to do a fucking thing to upset his masters.  And the Pentagon is filled with perfumed prancing princes who care more about getting their next promotion than doing what needs to be done to protect this nation.  Debris?  In Montana?  None of the fucking pieces of shit discussing the situation have ever been to Montana, and it shows.  "Oh, we might hit someone!"  Bro, you might hit a cow.  Maybe.  That's if you get close to one, since it requires about three acres per head of cattle up there.

Finally coming round

 So I'm not hacking up a lung, I'm not a snot factory.  Just some mild coughing.  I might actually be able to go to work tomorrow.  All I know is that I'm tired of being sick.

They report that over this period, approximately 97,000 Americans died annually (not including COVID deaths) above the baseline trend, a statistic known as “excess deaths.”

You could see the different reaction from states where the governors knew they might get lynched vs. the states who's Marxist masters knew they had nothing to fear from the proles.  It was never about stopping the Chinese man-made virus.  It was about controlling a population.  And it worked.  Look at what people did in New Fucking York or Michigan or California.  And then these same sheeple went and voted for more of it.

 I've been running for three weeks straight.  I'm going to sleep in tomorrow.  Make my lemon marmalade.  Drink coffee and smoke cigars and sit around in my pj's until it's time to go to bed again.

Likewise, if crime continues to spiral with citizens left on their own, you can bet your bottom dollar that someone with totalitarian instincts will step in to “restore order.” At that point, you find yourself in the world Tacitus described: “They ravage, they slaughter, they seize by false pretenses, and all of this they hail as the construction of empire. And when in their wake nothing remains but a desert, they call that peace.”

The only time I don't go out armed these days is when I have to go on a Federal installation.  My retirement is beckoning and I'm not going to ruin that by getting busted with a gun on a military base.  Although my thoughts on that run to "Why the fuck do you trust me with a gun and then don't trust me with a gun?"  It makes no sense, but given the Marxist shitstains we have in senior "leadership" positions these days they're probably worried that someone in uniform is going to give them the ending they so deserve.

And speaking of Marxist shitstains, here's Antifa calling for more violence against cops after one of their little turds finally became a good commie.

Antifa staged violent protests (do they do any other kind?) to block the construction of a police facility in Atlanta. When cops attempted to clear them out, they opened fire, seriously wounding a cop. The cops returned fire and killed an antifa thug.

Now antifa is calling for "reciprocal violence."

All of these people will be out on bail faster than any January 6th grandmother arrested for "parading."

Cleaning up

 The father in law had a LOT of crap.

We held a "garage sale" yesterday.  We laid out all his effects and invited the family over to take what they wanted.  Mementos and what not.  I got some blades, a rather nice oil-skin coat and a few other things.  It was nice being around people who weren't greedy.  Nobody was pushing or shoving or demanding anything, they were just trying to find something they could keep as a reminder of who he was.

Shit tons of military stuff.  

Lots of canes.  Power tools.  With everything the inlaws wanted to give us, we should have driven the truck down instead of my little econobox.  The dogs are gonna be cramped on the way home.

I'm currently outside enjoying a cigar while the fam is inside watching a movie.  I needed a little space.  No post tomorrow as we'll be on the road all day.

Driving again

 The father-in-law passed away in December.  It wasn't unexpected, he had been in poor health, both physically and mentally, for years.  So we're headed to the in-laws to help deal with the estate.  Separating out what's good from what is essentially rubbish (he was a bit of a hoarder), taking boxes to the thrift shops, and seeing what family wants to keep what items.

Look, McCarthy is pure establishment.  I don't like him.  He's been the minority leader while the GOP has been a feckless mess.  I hope that the concessions that actual conservatives wrung out of him help stop the bleeding, because if just get more of the status quo, ignoring the election fraud, allowing Democrats to commit any crimes they want while refusing to hold them accountable, go-along-to-get-along bullshit?  The GOP is already a house built on sand.  It used to have a bedrock foundation, but pathetic "leadership" like McCarthy ground that away to sand.  So if it's the status quo?  2024 is going to be another nothingburger as the voters are fucking TIRED of the McLeadership Failure Theater.

Last month, Dr. Robert Honeyman lost their sister to Covid. They wrote about it on Twitter and received dozens of condolences, over 4,000 retweets and 43,000 likes.

Exactly one month later, on Dec. 12, Honeyman wrote that another tragedy had befallen their family.

“Sad to announce that my husband has entered a coma after being in hospital with Covid. The doctor is unsure if he will come out,” they tweeted. “This year has been the toughest of my life losing my sister to this virus. This is the first time in my life I don’t see light at the end of the tunnel.”

Again, the condolences and well-wishes rolled in. But there was a problem: Honeyman wasn’t real.

Just like the narrative used to push the jab, everything and everyone pushing the jab and the panic porn and the fearmongering is and was bullshit.  Fake as hell.

 It's about time that someone sat him down and told him that he's not going to be it.  I'm getting the feeling that the days of "Oh it's your turn now" are over.

And Dan Crenshaw can go fuck himself.  Hey Dan?  Instead of insulting people and being a little bitch, why don't you try to figure out just who the hell could actually get the 218 votes?  Because it's looking like McCarthy ain't it.  

And can someone point me to something that McCarthy has actually done to deserve being speaker?  What legislative accomplishment happened?  What Democrat action did he block?  What has he done except hang around the longest?

I'm not saying he hasn't done anything but if he has I don't know about it.

Bah.  The longer this shitshow goes on, the less time they'll have to stab the GOP voting base in the back.  Again.

There's an oooooooold saying:  Be careful of the toes you step on today, because they might be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow.  The way the 20 are acting, I'm guessing that McCarthy stepped on too many toes, and now it's coming back to bite him in the ass.  I don't know what interactions he's had with the 20 nay-sayers, but it probably wasn't good.

Oh, and when you're making a bid to be in charge, it would help if you didn't have a history of unmitigated failure.  The GOP voters are sick and tired of the status quo, and they don't think that the people who enforced the status quo are the same ones who might actually start fighting back for this country.

The base had high expectations in 2022, and the elections did not meet those expectations. Then, the GOP members they did manage to elect voted to keep the wildly unpopular Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as Senate Republican Leader. Then, with a RealClearPolitics average favorability rating of -33%, McConnell turned around and betrayed Republican voters by helping Democrats pass a $1.7 trillion Omnibus package along with 17 of his colleagues.

No one should be surprised that Republican voters are fed up. 

If you wanted to blame one single person for this clownshow, other than Kevin McCarthy, blame Mitch McConnell.  It was his push for the $1.7 trillion boondoggle that reminded Republican voters all over the country why they hate the so-called leadership of their party, and that said so-called "leadership" has hated them, ridiculed them and stabbed them in the back for years.

There's a part of me that understands this is damaging to the GOP, but after what Mitch the DNC's Bitch did with the spending bill, I'd say the GOP is damaged goods anyway.  And there are people who now look at the GOP establishment and say "Fuck it, I'm done with you".  McCarthy is pure establishment.  

I don't have a problem with some members telling McCarthy to fuck off, but what's the plan?  Who do they want?  One name I heard, Jim Jordan, isn't running for Speaker and doesn't want the job.  So if you're not going to allow McCarthy in, who's the guy or gal you want?  Who do you have that can get the votes?  They haven't been able to answer that, which tells me that this is more about plain opposition to McCarthy than it is about strategy.  And that just doesn't fly in the real world.  That's cutting off your nose to spite your face.

A study on monkeypox in women was published in The Lancet recently in which almost half of the cohort being studied were males who identify as women.

In the study published in the world-class medical journal on November 17, researchers analyzed data for a total of 136 individuals with the monkeypox virus infection across 15 countries. There were 62 “trans women,” 69 “cis” women, and 5 non-binary individuals who were grouped with the “cis” women to form a category of “people assigned female at birth.”
