He's not just...

TFG isn't just an incompetent, he is actively and knowingly anti-American. If he were just a fucking idiot, he would get some things right from time to time, but when he deliberately sets out to target disabled veterans, retired seniors and now, brand-new widows, that is a vindictiveness and contempt for this country and its weakest and most vulnerable citizens.

Evan Sayet said, in his wonderful speech, "Regurgitating The Apple", at the Heritage Foundation several years ago, that his eyes were opened when he saw the liberal response to 9/11:

Imagine being in a restaurant with an old friend, and you're catching up, and suddenly he blurts out, "I hate my wife!"... and you kind of chuckle to yourself, because he says that every time you're together and you know he doesn't hate his wife, they've been together for 35 years. He loves his daughters, and they are just like her, no, no, he doesn't hate his wife.

And you're having some dinner, and you look out the window, and you spot his wife out the window, and she's being beaten up. So you grab your friend, and say, "C'mon, c'mon, let's help her, let's help your wife!" And he says, "Nah, I'm sure she deserves it."

At that moment, it dawns on you that he really does hate his wife.

This is going to be the point where some people realize that TFG really does hate the military.

How far should churches go to appeal to men?

1 - the fact that this question is being asked shows you just how far to the Left and feminized churches in America are today.

2 - in order to attract men back to Church, you have to go back to the Church's original teachings, not the feminized, hippy-peace-love crap that spews out from almost every denomination today.

Lemme give you a small example of what I mean, shall I? 

There is a Catholic saint, born under the name Giovanni, who once had the balls to stand in front of a Sultan and tell him that he worshiped a false god, and followed a false prophet.  This Saint directed that two blazes be set, and that he and the muslim priest walk through the fires.  The one who came out the other end unharmed would prove who followed the true God.  The muslim priest ran away in fear.  The Saint prepared himself to walk through the fire even though the muslim priest had ran off, and the Sultan had to demand that the Saint not attempt the passage. 

This same Catholic Saint was once ignored by the people he attempted to speak to.  And so, this Saint told the people "Since you will not listen to me, I will preach to the things who will listen to God's word".  And he turned and spoke to the forest, and the animals and birds of the forest came and listened to him. 

This Saint would challenge anyone who allowed themselves to wallow in sin, no matter what their status was, or what their station in life was. 

This Saint came from a wealthy family in what is now Italy, and after a run-in with his father, where he was standing in the town square with his father, the town governor, and the local bishop all around him, took off every stitch of clothing he had, handed it to his father and said, "I give you back everything you have given me, including my name."  And from that point on, he was not addressed as Giovanni.  He was known only by the name his father had given him as a way of mocking him.  Giovanni's mother was from modern day Burgundy, and Giovanni's father, when he was in a fit of rage, would call is son Francesco.  The Frenchman.

Now, do a quick search of St. Francis of Assisi and you'll find plenty of prayers for peace.  The prayer of St. Francis begs God to "Make me a channel of your peace".  But St. Francis was troubled by anger all of his life.  His prayers aren't just a man making platitudes in church, they are the heart-felt prayers of a man who has a temper, and who knows just what damage that temper can do to him and those around him.

Francis just so happens to be my Confirmation name as well, so I've done a bit of research on the guy.  Yes, he begged for peace.  But he did it as a man who had gone to war and spent a year as a prisoner of that war, and most likely suffered from PTSD the rest of his life.  Yes, he gave what he had to the poor.  But he did it as a man who saw the indulgence of the Church's leadership, and spoke out directly against those indulgences.  Imagine working at the White House and telling the President that he needs to knock off all the golfing and partying with celebrities.  How long do you think that guy would last in Obama's White House?  Yes, he spoke the word of God to animals when men would not listen to him.

But he had the manhood to stand up to the falsehoods of Islam, and directly challenge a man who could have cut off his head.  He stood up against the bishops who lived fat and happy while the people they were supposed to minister starved.  And he kept his integrity and his honor intact despite every negative thing that happened to him.

And yet, the modern church makes him out as nothing but a peace-loving hippy who liked animals.

Ann Barnhardt (who finally has hyperlinks!) loves to show pictures of the Saints as they were seen and known.  There are quite a few Saints shown with weapons in their hands.  They are shown that way for a reason.  You have to fight evil.  And sometimes, you have to do it physically.  St. Michael the Archangel is shown with his foot on Satan's neck, holding a sword in one hand and the scales of justice in the other.  "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle".  But how many Catholic churches even pray that particular prayer, even though the should be praying it every Sunday at the conclusion of Mass?

How many Catholics even know about the Leonine prayers after Mass?  I didn't, and I grew up Catholic.  I first found out about them when the Ragin' Mrs. bought me a Sunday Missal at a garage sale, a missal that had been printed in 1954.  And they had the Leonine prayers after mass, and all manner of religious doctrine, and not a bit of it had been taught to me when I was a child in church.  Not a bit of the doctrine, not a bit of the history, nothing like what I was able to learn by just reading a Sunday missal printed decades before I was born.

And people wonder why I left for a decade.

You want to get men back in Church?  Go back to what the Church used to teach, unabashedly and without reservation.  Start with the Ten Commandments.  Morality.  Integrity.  When a person is confirmed in the Catholic church, the bishop confirming them is supposed to slap them across the face.  HARD.  Why?  Because it represents the fact that the Confirmant is now joined the battle against Satan, and that battle is going to be HARD.  It is going to HURT.  It will not be easy, but the alternative is even worse.

Try teaching that for a bit, and see what happens.

So let's sum up, shall we?

In a fit of temper rivaled only by my great-niece Alexis (who recently turned two), That Fucking Guy (henceforth TFG) currently using precious oxygen at #OccupyResoluteDesk has:


And then TFG has the nerve to go on TV and insist that people need to stop blaming Democrats for the slimdown, while Harry Reid flatly refuses to even offer eight, count 'em, EIGHT different spending bills passed by the House to fund the Monuments, to fund the VA, to fund the National Institute of Health, and several others, none of which have anything to do with Obamacare, come up for a vote, even though the bill to fund the military passed 97-0.

Because Harry knows that there would be an overwhelming surge of support for these bills if these Senators had to put their names on the record. Their party loyalty will insist that they support the President, and that the only possible solution will involve the Republicans giving in - again - but those speeches can't really be used against them, since it's the votes that count. Words are a politician's stock in trade, and they use them without even meaning it most of the time, but a vote is an action that has to be written down.

Which means it CAN be used against them by the folks back home who have to vote for them.

This is exactly the same reason that the Senate has not yet produced a budget in almost five years (check the counter over on the right)... because they all know that the only chance they have of getting this thing off the ground is for the public to not actually know what the numbers say. The CBO has put out these predictions that they admitted up front were bullshit, and the Dems have used these bullshit projections as actual facts when praising Obamacare. (Which brings up an interesting question: has Nancy found time to read it yet?) The only time Obama tried to put out a budget, it failed, 0-97. So they have been limping by on "Continuing Resolutions" instead of a budget, because the CRs merely extends the spending levels of the last actual budget passed, which was back when Obama was still a Senator.

But when the Senate actually puts out a budget, the numbers must be published, and that means the jig is up. For the Democrats, certainly, for the Republicans probably, and for the nation, possibly.

The only question is how far the rubble will bounce...

Ever been to the Viet Nam memorial?  It's a wall.  There's an open sidewalk next to it for people to walk on.  It requires no effort, and no manpower to leave open.

It does require manpower to barrycade it off and prevent Viet Nam war veterans from visiting.  So Obama is wasting money for the sheer purpose of throwing a temper tantrum and shitting all over Viet Nam vets.

Obama is an insult to this country.  And the people who elected him are an even bigger insult.

Medicare Plan "G"

You're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing home care available for you.

So what do you do? Our plan gives anyone 65 years, or older, a gun ( " G " ) and 4 bullets.

You are allowed to shoot four Politicians. Of course, this means you'll be sent to prison, where you will receive three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating and air conditioning and all the health care you need.  Need new teeth?  No problem.

Need glasses?  That's great.

Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart?

They're all covered!

As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you at least as often as they do now.

And who will be paying for all of this?

The same government that just told you they can't afford for you to go into a home.

And, you can get rid of 4 useless politicians while you're at it.

Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.

Obama shutting down private parks

Because his temper tantrum can't find enough targets.  So privately run parks and businesses all have to kow-tow to his arrogance, narcissism and idiocy.

He wants to hurt as many people as possible, just like the overgrown, self-absorbed piece of shit that he is.  That fucking communist bitch.

However, today, we have been told by senior member of the US Forest Service and Department of Agriculture that people “above the department”, which I presume means the White House, plan to order the Forest Service to needlessly and illegally close all private operations. I can only assume their intention is to artificially increase the cost of the shutdown as some sort of political ploy.
The point of the shutdown is to close non-essential operations that require Federal money and manpower to stay open. So why is the White House closing private operations that require no government money to keep open and actually pay a percentage of their gate revenues back to the Treasury? We are a tenant of the US Forest Service, and a tenant does not have to close his business just because his landlord goes on a vacation.


It needs to be said over and over

Not only are the Democrats shutting down parks that the government doesn't own or operate, but Democrats are paying people to protest WWII Veterans as they try to view the World War Two memorial.  That would be the memorial to THEM, that THEY EARNED.

The biggest threat to freedom on the planet

No, not Iran. Not North Korea or China or even Russia.

I'll give you a hint: it's more of an idea, but embodied in lots of different ways, all of them fatal to freedom in any of its forms.

Give up?

Full-time Legislatures. Yup. Just that simple.

Think I'm kidding? Look, it's basic human nature. Give a man a job and he will think he is required to produce something in order to justify his salary (and inevitable demands for a wage increase down the road). Now in the Legislature's case here in the United States, that shouldn't ordinarily present a problem, since they aren't sent there to legislate, but to represent the interests of the "folks back home". Some poor sap would get damned near drafted by his fellow citizens because they knew "he were an honest fella'" and would (presumably) represent the interests of the people who had sent him. They were, after all, his neighbors, and he would have to live among them again after a few years.

The townsfolk would send him some money every now and then so he could live so far from home, and to make up for the lost income from his business, whether that was his farm, smithy, store or practice, and when he wanted to come home, the townsfolk would pick someone else.

But because Men are not Saints, some laws restricting bad behavior needed to be passed, and fine details of what was to be legal and what was not took up a lot of time, so these draftees, there to represent the interests of the folks back home needed a secretary to handle all the correspondence, and that means an office, which means other people, and pretty soon, you have a fairly healthy cadre of folks whose only purpose in collecting a paycheck is to make sure the boss sees them working as hard as possible, and making his life as easy as possible, and that means to buffer The Boss from the average Joe and his workaday problems.

And that makes life in the big city suddenly a lot more pleasant than life down on the farm, and since you are State employees (well, not really, you are actually employees of the folks back home - remember them? - but you're drinking buddies with the guy who writes the Official Dictionary, and suddenly you are!), which means you get to decide your own salaries, and it all comes out of the taxes anyway, and why shouldn't you be entitled to a few freebies, as long as you don't overdo, right?

But then bad times come and people start looking at why they have to spend so much on the government, and you have to look busy, since The REAL "Boss" is paying attention, and so, with great fanfare, you and a few of your buddies put together a Blue Ribbon Panel, with The Governor signing a Grand Proclamation That Something MUST Be Done About This Scourge Threatening Our Way Of Life.

And writing lots of laws. "Hey, look at all the things we are doing! This is what your taxes pay for!" (No mention of the 20% wasted on bureaucrats and inspectors and Senior Executives, but why muddy the waters?)

But no one bothers to see if the laws were actually needed. Or if the old laws on the books should be gotten rid of. They just sit there, until you have laws like the one in Redlands, California, that states "Motor vehicles may not drive on city streets unless a man with a lantern is walking ahead of it." Or the one from Clarenden, Texas that forbids the dusting of public buildings with a feather duster. My personal favorite is the one that makes it a capital crime - death penalty and all - to hunt whales from the back of a pickup truck. In Oklahoma. (That's like those wacky warning labels, where you just KNOW someone had to have tried it first. "Well, they don't forbid me taking my toaster into the shower with me, so I guess it will be okaBZZZZZzzzt ")

You get laws that no rational being would think could possibly be passed in the "Land of the Free", such as the one deciding what kinds of light bulbs we would be permitted to use in our homes. Or the one regulating the flow rate of our shower-heads.

Hundreds of thousands of laws, all of them still as valid as the day they forbade someone from doing something. Professor Victor Davis Hanson once opined that everyone breaks three Federal laws every day, without even realizing what or why.

I think we were better off when we only had Ten...

It's about DAMN TIME!

Someone in the Catholic hierarchy finally made a statement regarding politicians who claim to be Catholic yet advocate for abortion.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has no Catholic right to be granted Communion, said the leading cardinal of the highest court at the Vatican.

Mrs. Pelosi should be denied Communion until she changes her advocacy views on abortion, Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke said, in an interview with The Wanderer reported by the Western Center for Journalism.
That’s canon law, not opinion, he said. Canon 915 states that Catholics who are stubbornly contrary “in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”

And Cardinal Burke said Mrs. Pelosi fits the definition.

“Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied,” he said, the Western Center for Journalism reported. “This is a person who obstinately, after repeated admonitions, persists in a grave sin — cooperating with the crime of procured abortion — and still professes to be a devout Catholic.”

The cardinal also said that Mrs. Pelosi is a perfect example of Catholics who separate their faith from day-to-day living.
Folks, you can be Catholic.  Or you can support abortion.  It is an either-or proposition.  You cannot be Catholic AND support abortion.  If you want to be Catholic, you must support the right of babies to be born, period. 
Granny Rictus Pelosi is a staunch advocate for ripping babies out of the womb and murdering them.  Ipso facto, she cannot claim to hold to the tenants of Catholicism at the same time.  And it's about damn time that someone in the Church finally spoke up and said so.

What changes would you make?

I've been thinking about it, and I have come up with a few changes that would improve our chances at surviving as a nation until the end of the century. Yes, it would require that people start acting as grownups, rather than the "give me my free stuff faster!" mentality that is so pervasive, but at the same time, it not-so-gently encourages people to make that change for themselves.

Or starve, I don't care which.

First, freeze the federal budget at current levels, then chop 10% (in constant 2013 dollars) from every Department, every agency, every commission over the next four years. That solves part of the deficit problem. Farm out anything that should be handled by the government to the lowest levels possible (State, County, City, School Board).

Second, since all of those Executive Branch Departments seem to be enacting all sorts of legislation without recourse to Congress, totaling in the hundreds of thousands of pages of very fine print, with thousands more added every year, at the whim of unelected bureaucrats whose names are never known, eliminate any regulation that is not supported by a real law that has been passed by Congress, signed by the President, and possibly even withstood judicial scrutiny. All of it. That pulls the teeth of the EPA, the FDA, the FCC, the FTC, the ICC, and many others. No more wasted time and energy filing paperwork about the hazardous nature of a spilled pail of milk on dairy farms. Let them submit the regulations they feel are "necessary" to Congress for debate and enacting if Congress should agree.

Third, delete Obamacare from the vocabulary. The whole thing - gone. No more waivers, no more delays, no more worries. Open up interstate borders for insurance companies to allow them to offer coverage across state lines. (As a subset, encourage them to offer the same kind of catastrophic coverage that auto insurance offers, and allow people to determine where their health care dollars go to cover the minor stuff that happens from day-to-day. If auto insurance were offered on the same terms as health insurance, we would be arguing over co-pays for oil changes and car washes. That is bullshit of the first order, and all of it mandated by people who have exempted themselves from their mandates.)

Fourth, alter the form of the military to get rid of the non-combat forces. Supply officer? Chaplain? Athletics officer? Public Affairs officer? Turn it over to civilians, at half the price. You want to join the military, it will be to kill people and break things as efficiently as possible. There will be no more cushy, "safe" jobs. Those are for the candy-ass, "double time for overtime" types back home who don't have the balls to stand up and be counted, except on paydays. Turn our military into something that thugs and tyrants all over the world will tremble to see. Or, more accurately, NOT see, since the first warning we will be arriving will tend to be detrimental to the health of those who would threaten the peace. We will not be arriving to keep the peace, but to eliminate the trouble makers. "If you kill enough of them, pretty soon they stop fighting."

Fifth, submit an Amendment to Congress to repeal the 17th Amendment. States were given their own voice in the Federal Government for a reason, and the People are already adequately represented in the House - although perhaps raising the number from 435 to (say) an even thousand members would not go amiss, to bring the ratio of citizens to lawmaker down... (I am sure there will be a few buildings in DC standing empty after the first few items get taken care of.)

Then it is LONG past time we started responding in kind.

An upscale mall in Nairobi, Kenya was attacked on Saturday when gunmen threw grenades and opened fire on patrons. At least 25 have been killed and 50 wounded, but those numbers are expected to grow.

The Westgate Mall is located in the affluent Westlands neighborhood and frequently visited by the wealthy and foreign workers, especially on the weekends. It houses many popular stores like Nike and Adidas. Many security agencies listed it as a popular target for terrorists. It is important to note the mall is under Israeli ownership because witnesses told police the gunmen said non-Muslims were their targets.
Elijah Kamau, who was at the mall at the time of the midday attack, said that the gunmen made a declaration that non-Muslims would be targeted.

People always argue that it's just the "extremists", the "1/10/15/20%" that commit these atrocities, and the rest of the pedophile-worshipers "just want to get along" but let's compare and contrast how the last time a non-Muslim committed any sort of public murderer. It is IMMEDIATELY condemned in the strongest of language by everyone on both sides of the argument, and every effort is made to bring any surviving murderers to what justice can be reached within our ability. Whereas this crime? Or the last hundred time Muslims targeted and murdered non-Muslims?

Not. A. Fucking. Peep. from the 50+ Muslim countries, and some of the more outrageous ones will actively shelter the criminals from justice. That isn't "just wanting to get along", that is actively aiding and abetting after the fact, making them fully complicit in the crimes, and deserving of every bit of the justice that needs to be delivered. Even those who don't say anything are passively giving their consent. If it was really just the minority causing trouble, then those in the so-called "peaceful" majority would be preventing, or at the very least, dropping a dime to potential targets. Nothing.

It is time to start making this kind of attack so unattractive that it will cease to be an option, and the ONLY way to do that is to send down some Shock and Awe, with a heaping side dish of Wrath Of God, and a little Wailing and Gnashing Of Teeth for dessert.

Mecca - at 21°25′0″N 39°49′0″E, for those counting - would be a nice target for an ICBM or cruise missile or B-2 bomber, and precisely zero chance of hurting any innocents. Hit 'em during Ramadan, and turn the whole fucking district into a heap of rubble surrounded by radioactive glass.

Opened up the local fishwap yesterday

And the first story on page A-1 is a sob story about how poverty in the Southland is growing.  And of course, no sob story is complete without it's protagonist, so they start off the story with this:

Today, the single mother of eight, who lost her part-time job at a shelter in May after it closed, struggles to stretch her roughly $1,225 in welfare and food stamps that she receives each month to care for her and her five young children who live at home.

The emphasis up there is mine, by the way.  Just in case you missed it.

Let just get to the down and dirty, shall we?  This woman is on welfare because of the choices she made in life.  Period.  It's not "bad luck".  It's not "God's will".  It's not anything but a direct result of the choices she's made.  She is a SINGLE MOTHER OF EIGHT.

Where's daddy in all of this?  Or, as is most likely the case, where are the daddies?

And please spare me the sob stories of "Well, what if she was married, and the husband died?"  Then the husband would have been included as at least a side note in this little sob story.  But since there isn't a single mention of a husband at all, I'm willing to bet my entire paycheck that there is no husband, never was a husband, and never will be a husband.

This woman is on the government dole because she made the choice to sleep around and have children out of wedlock.  And now everyone else is paying for her choices.  THAT is why the welfare system needs to be done away with.

We will never get rid of poverty by just handing money over to people who continually fuck up their own lives.  We can only reduce poverty by refusing to protect people from the consequences of their own actions.  Then, and only then, will we be able to actually help the folks who had a run of bad luck and need a hand up.

Until we refuse to just give people money because they've fucked up their lives, then the number of people in "poverty" will continue to grow.  Things you subsidize, you get more of.  Things you tax, you get less of.  We've been subsidizing poverty for decades now, and it ain't gone away at all.  It's grown.  Time to try a different tact.

What Scumbags

I suppose I should say "lockstep Democrats", and they mean the same thing, but "scumbags" seem to be a better choice.

I would like to point out the names of the fucking scumbags who walked out of a committee meeting, rather than hear the testimony of those most closely affected. To be more specific, a meeting of the House Oversight and Government Reform, which had been receiving testimony from family members of those killed more than a year ago at the consulate and compound in Benghazi, Libya.

During the second portion of a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing about Benghazi Thursday on Capitol Hill, the majority of Democrats on the Committee left the room and refused to listen to the testimony of Patricia Smith and Charles Woods. Ms. Smith is the mother of Sean Smith, an information management officer killed in the 9/11 Benghazi attack. Charles Woods is the father of Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was also killed.

 I gathered the entire membership of the committee from this page and since the only two scumbags who stayed are mentioned by name (Ranking Member Elijah Cummings and Rep. Jackie Speier), it is easy to winnow down the names of the fucking scumbags who either walked out, or didn't bother to show up in the first place.


I would have locked the door behind them, and held a few key votes right away. If any of these are your representative, you have my condolences, and my strongest suggestion that you get them on the horn and demand an accounting.

Obama just turned American into an arms dealer for Al-Qaeda.

President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to "vetted" opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Some elements of the Syrian opposition are associated with radical Islamic terrorist groups, including al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa., in 2001. Assad's regime is backed by Iran and Hezbollah.

The president, citing his authority under the Arms Export Control Act, announced today that he would "waive the prohibitions in sections 40 and 40A of the AECA related to such a transaction."

 So that wingnuthead motherfucker is claiming that arming TERRORISTS is essential to American security.

CAN WE IMPEACH THAT FUCKING BASTARD NOW?!?!?!  FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN WE IMPEACH THAT ANTI-AMERICAN FUCKING BASTARD?

Destroy it. Burn the Rubble. Salt the earth it stood on.

Time to start thinking

We all know and appreciate the various "rights" protected in the Bill of Rights, the ongoing governmental intrusions and violations notwithstanding, because they are worth protecting from State action. But there are a LOT of ambiguities, a lot of second guessing, and (especially lately) "it's just so OLD".

Given that we are currently at the beginning stages of the collapse, I feel a little like Hari Seldon, except that I don't have an entire planet with institutions that are specifically defined and easily controlled, just to ameliorate the ensuing bouncing rubble. But Hari's goal was not to stop the collapse of Galactic Empire, any more than mine is to stop the collapse of the existing bloated system.

The goal is to have something better grow out of the ashes, not merely another phoenix.

So with that in mind, I would like to suggest a few thoughts that will need to be better phrased - defined, if you will - so that there will be less of a chance for misunderstanding by those who seek to control their fellow citizen through an excess of "I know what's good for you better than you do"-itis (more popularly known as "progressivism" in modern lingo).

"Freedom of speech" -- all well and good, and it seemed to be pretty emphatic with the "Congress shall make no law", but what qualifies as "speech"? Lots of court cases, even up to the present day, are still trying to argue that out. Does a financial donation count as speech? Support, surely, but speech?

"Freedom of religion" - again, all well and good, but given that even atheism is a religious point of view, do the atheists have the right to tell the rest of us how and where to worship, just because they might be offended by seeing the baby Jesus in the public park? Can states actually punish people for following their religious persuasions? (No? Lots of conscientious objectors went to jail during WW2 and Vietnam, not to mention the baker who must be "rehabilitated" for refusing to bake a same-sex wedding cake in Oregon.) What, exactly, is a religion? Branch Davidians? Scientologists? Church of Satan? Wicca? (From a legal standpoint, the answer is "all of the above". Including the atheists.) But what about when one religion directly opposes another? Protestant vs Catholic, Mormons vs Moonies, Islam vs ... well, let's face it, "everyone else on the planet". (Kind of tough to reason with "Submit or Die", ain't it?)

Speaking of which, can we insert something about "There is no right to not be offended, so suck it up"?

What kinds of weapons are private citizens allowed to keep and own? At what point do our actions pass into the public arena, and by so doing, surrender the privacy that is never actually mentioned in the Bill of Rights? Can we try phrasing it differently than simply "cruel and unusual"?

Better start thinking about it now, so that when the discussion start around the burning wreck that was City Hall, you will be better able to influence things into the path we want.

This is not just Putin making sure Obama knows that he's nothing but a gutless little bitch.  This is worse.  This op-ed is a metaphor for Putin fucking Obama up the ass, jizzing in Obama's eyes and then forcing Obama to suck the shit off of Putin's dick. 

And Obama did just that, because he's such a fucking worthless little quivering bitch that there's nothing else he wants to do.

So he is just the man for the New York Times — an international liar who has just made a complete fool of the president of the United States and shamed our country in the process while putting into question the entire future of the Middle East.

For his next column, perhaps he can finally tell us what happened in Benghazi. Sadly, there’s a better chance he’ll do it than our own administration.

This could have been really, really well done, and instead it's another example of how young women today are nothing more than sexual objects to be used as a sperm receptacle and tossed away.

I haven’t shaved with a disposable in years, and it was the price (and the promise of a better shave) that chased me away. I used to go through two Fusion cartridges each and every week, for a total annual bill of almost $420 on blades alone. But if you’re willing to take a few extra minutes in the morning, and a few weeks to learn a new skill, you can save a bundle by switching to old-school double edge safety razors.

Anyway, buying the best of the best products was about $200 up front to get in, then annual expenses of about $100 or so a year. You could easily spend just half of that, if you really wanted to save the money. The razor and the brush will both outlive their owner, so the buy-in expense amortizes down to almost zero. In my case I’m spending 25% of what I used to spend just on cartridges, while getting a shave almost equal to the one you’d get from a professional barber. The only trick is, taking some time to learn a new skill.

 I didn't even buy the fancy razor - I bought the $40 Merkur from The Art of Shaving, and it's been perfectly fine for me.  Even better, I bought an antique brass Gillette safety razor from an antique store in Wisconsin for $4, and depending on what razors I use that gives me the best shave of all.  I won't spend another dime on cartridge razors.  That's money down the drain.

First we had the New Mexico photographer who was told by the NM Supreme Court that she would have to support same-sex marriage "as a price of citizenship". Even though same sex marriage isn't legal in New Mexico.

Then the baker in Oregon who was driven out of business (costing God alone known how many jobs, but eggs/omelets, nomesane?) and is facing "rehabilitation" (according to a City Council member) for not offering a "same-sex commitment ceremony" cake, even when such ceremonies are not recognized by the State of Oregon. No legal action will be taken against those militants who threatened her suppliers and other vendors (which are crimes, by the way), FOR THE TOLERANCE.

Now we have the city of San Antonio passing an ordinance that declares that anyone who opposes homosexuality isn't eligible for either applying for a city contract, but also banned for running for office (in, perhaps, an attempt to reverse this ordinance).

Never mind that there are entire religions that believe homosexuality is not just "wrong" but a sin. (Putting salt in your coffee is wrong, and killing your neighbor is a sin, just to make the distinction.) Never mind that religious expression is the VERY FIRST right protected in the Bill of Rights. Never mind that expressing an opinion about social and political issues is the second protection granted. Never mind that homosexuals have been granted protections and special treatment above and beyond mere "tolerance" in an attempt to "even the playing field".

This amounts to a religious test ("you are not allowed to apply for a job with or for the city if you actually believe what your religion says, unless your religion is The State" ), and may very well spark the reverse swing of the pendulum. This is active oppression of those who hold personal beliefs, regardless whether they have ever acted on those beliefs.

The problem is that there are a LOT of judges out there who would do everything they can to protect it, in the face of First Amendment suits. After all, citizens no longer have the right to sue their elected representatives in an attempt to force them to enforce the laws of the State. And, as I have already shown, the State has violated each of the first ten Amendments routinely and repeatedly.

But, by all means, let's add some more amendments to be ignored!

Is he for this one before he'll be against it?

John Kerry is beating the drums of war against Syria, even though he eventually ran for President with his main platform being against the war in Iraq.

I can see the differences, of course. Saddam was the Baath leader in Iraq who gassed his own citizens, while Bashar Assad is the Baath leader in Syria who gassed his own citizens.

But there are concerns and strong reasons why I am against this war:

1) There is no up-side for the United States. None at all.

2) The choices are between (in this corner) the dictator who gassed his own people and Hezbollah, and (in the red corner) Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. And if we just randomly blow shit up with cruise missile and air strikes, we'll piss off both sides AND the possible neutral parties who just wish everyone would knock off the fighting. Plus Russia and China, of course.

3) There has not only been no attempt to drum up support (as that Imperialist warmonger Bush did in his 16-month "rush to war" - getting both a UNSC Resolution and the AUMF from both chambers of Congress), our "smart diplomacy" team has managed to offend our closest allies on the planet to the point where Parliament refused the war request of the Prime Minister for the first time since the Revolutionary War (1782), and has exposed that poseur at #OccupyResoluteDesk as the failure he is. I mean, when an optometrist-turned-hereditary-dictator disses the President, common sense would be for the President to laugh it off, not send in "boots on the ground" (which Kerry was pushing for yesterday).

4) Since Obama has already stated that he will send in strikes even if Congress downvotes it, he is openly defying Congress to stop him, and when it turns out that those few missile strikes did no more to punish Assad than Clinton's missile strikes did to Saddam, the MSM will put the blame not on the head of Preezy "Don't call my bluff" McRedLine, but on the Republicans in the House.

5) The media is actively campaigning for this war (check out MSNBC), but they are faking up their anecdotal evidence. Does anyone else remember "Wag The Dog"?

6) It has been a policy of the United States since the end of WW2 that we will respond to the use of WMD with our own WMD. Chemical weapons are indiscriminate, pervasive and also serve as area denial weapons, and are, therefore classified as Weapons of Mass Destruction (as are biological weapons). The catch is that the only WMD the US currently holds are nuclear. Are we changing that policy, or will we go back to using it when we aren't fighting Muslims?


However

All that having been said, I find it repugnant and reprehensible to the nth degree that John "Seared" Kerry is offering to pimp out our soldiers and sailors and heroes to the highest bidder.

Where the fuck are all the "Not In My Name" and Code Pink and the Vagina Warriors and Martin Sheen and all those liberals who "ain't a-gonna study war no more"? Cindy Sheehan?

Rent them out? To whom? And to what purpose? Which side will we be dying for? And what happens if/when other nations (Russia, China, Iran, etc.) decide to join in, and which side will they be joining?

What happens when other small countries start rattling their sabers, especially after seeing how easy it is to set Obama off?

Our Imperial President, Lord of the Americas and Protector of the Weak, has deigned to issue His Imperial Edict that Congress shall be allowed to pretend to debate the issue of War in Syria like those old white slave-owners that preceded His Sublimeness, Barry Soertoro Obama I, His Imperial Loftiness, pretended to do in Ages of Yore.

Obama to the American Public: "I'm going to ask Congress"
Obama to his advisers: "Blow them up anyway, even if Congress says not to"

So if Congress decides not to give him his Declaration (or AUMF, which is what Bush got), he's going to do it anyway.

“That’s going to happen, anyway,” the source told me, adding that that was why the president, in his rose Garden remarks, was careful to establish that he believes he has the authority to launch such strikes even without congressional authorization.

Bolded for emphasis. Hey, let's see what Senator Obama said about that very thing, back in 2007, shall we?




They told me that if I voted for Romney that we would have an Imperial Presidency waging war without authorization and spying on American citizens without warrants. Turns out they were right, even though I never voted for him.

Just to keep things clear

The Constitution explicitly grants the power to Declare War to Congress. Article I, Sect. 8

The Congress shall have Power ..
To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
Now, remember that this power is granted to Congress, not either the House or the Senate. This means that BOTH chambers of Congress must debate the issue and agree with the necessity by not less than a majority in both chambers - 218 in the House and 51 in the Senate. What do you want to bet that when Obama fails to show that we shouldn't randomly bomb a country that hasn't attacked us, and poses no strategic importance to the US, the MSM immediately starts blaming the Republicans, rather than the idiot who wants us to go to war? (And who else wants to put down money that someone nominates him for another Nobel Peace Prize when he DOESN'T go to war?)

Let's pretend that we actually had a dog in this fight, just so that we can discuss the issue...Which side are we supposed to be assisting? We have two sides to choose from: 1) the side that used the chemical weapons, and 2) the side that is made up of the Muslim Brotherhood and its assorted anti-Western terrorist cliques. This is a lose-lose-lose if the US gets involved. (Not to mention the fact that Reagan had a bigger fucking coalition invading Grenada than Obama has for going into Syria.)
 
What we should really do is airdrop in a shitload of AKs and ammo, then seal the borders for not less than five years. No one gets out (no planes, no cars, no trucks, no people - turn back ALL of them), and only food goes in. When things have settled down, we will go in and see what options will serve us best going forward. If no option looks good, we seal the borders again for another five years. And then another, if need be.

I see not a single reason to hazard a single US service member to support what was basically Obama shooting off his lip during a moment when his teleprompter was down, and then having to blow something up so as to not appear weak. Especially when the whole world sees him as weak anyway.

Pauper's Oath?

Would it be considered gauche to offer an uncomfortable topic for discussion?

Back during the Great Depression, anyone asking for help from the Federal Government had to take a "Pauper's Oath", swearing that they had no assets, and nothing expected at a given future date, before they would be eligible for aid.

People needing to file a lawsuit without having the necessary funds to pay the court fees can swear something similar to receive a waiver from such fees, and prisoners do the same thing when they have to file their cases, since they don't have an income, and no expectation of earning one.

But with the exception of the prisoners, THEY ALL GET TO VOTE.

Why do they have a say in the fiscal policies of the very nation they are asking to pay their bills? Isn't that a conflict of interest? If they are basically asking to live in Uncle Sam's spare room, eating out of his refrigerator, and using up his (read: "our" ) precious resources without adding anything into the pot, why shouldn't they be treated just like a kid living at home?

When I was a kid, we never got to decide what was for supper. We rarely got to decide what was on TV (once we finally got one). We never got to tell Dad to demand a raise so that we could have more money to spend on those rad new iPads. We were told, and responded, "Yes, sir."

But today's welfare recipients DO get that say. And politicians pander to them, promising to deliver ever larger slices of a pie that neither of them had anything to do with baking, in exchange for their support and vote. We have passed the point where 51% of households receive some sort of government payment (although that does include the earned pensions and disability checks).

So why not remove that corruption and conflict of interest out of the equation?

You get government aid? You surrender your vote until you are no longer receiving aid for at least six months. I am not talking about retirement or disability benefits, but things like welfare and food stamps and housing for those who are physically capable of working, but choose not to, especially those who treat it as a generational hammock, rather than an interim safety net. (I refer to the incident where three women - mother, daughter and teen/tween granddaughter - were interviewed on national news following Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, demanding to know how they were supposed to get their welfare checks, now that they couldn't get to their home.)

It's easy: if you want taxpayers to pay your bills, you lose your right to tell those taxpayers how to live their life and spend their money. Because it IS their money.

I'm really glad I don't live in Washington, DC

I'd spend my entire day wandering around the halls of Congress and the various Executive Departments/Agencies and saying, "You really ought to be ashamed of yourself" to anyone who is unlucky enough to catch my eye.

And I'd punch the 537 elected ones, right in the mouth, because I can't see that any of that group have any shame remaining. Not. One.

How Many Divisions Has The Pope?

In the waning days of WW II, during a discussion of the future of Eastern Europe, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill cautioned Joseph Stalin to consider the views of the Vatican. To this the Soviet leader responded, "How many divisions does the Pope of Rome have?"

He was giving a harbinger of Mao's famous dictum, that "power grows from the barrel of a gun". When you issue orders, you have to be able to force others to obey those orders, or they are meaningless. Conversely, when forbidden from doing something, there have to be people willing to back up the prohibition and punish the offenders, or there might as well not be any mention.

If people knew that the State Police were no longer issuing traffic citations, what do you think would happen to the speed limits used?

So when the President violates his oath of office, violates the very spirit of the document that gives his office any authority, and contemplates ever more egregious violations of the rights and privileges of the citizens of his country, what recourse remains?

And here is the interesting question, what happens when no one has both the authority and willingness to put a stop to it? When the nation's chief law enforcement officer routinely lies to both Congress (earning a contempt citation) and the American People, who issues the order? When the nation's chief diplomat is openly contemptuous of the military that will have to bear the brunt of his screwups, what's next?

When the Speaker of the House won't even consider overturning the most destructive and unpopular piece of legislation (that the Executive Branch routinely ignores), and the Supreme Court has ruled that no one has any standing to overturn what he described as a "tax" (even though the authors said explicitly to the contrary - that means it wasn't "interpreting", but rather "deleting and replacing the text", which means legislating from the bench), and State Supreme Courts rule that we have to surrender our civil rights in favor of politically-protected whims, who do we turn to?

Update: The Most Transparent Administration in History (tm) reports, "Why of course it isn't any of your business who the President and his staff talk to in that taxpayer-funded building", and the Federal Courts back them up.

I really don't know what to say about this...

Well, I suppose I might know what to say, but every time I try to say it, it gets all garbled and comes out sounding a bit like "Fuck every one of those god-damned cock-gargling bitches up the ass with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire".  Funny, that.

As it turns out, the FBI quietly released the emails in an unclassified report on the shooting, which was produced by an investigative commission headed by former FBI director William H. Webster last year. And, far from being "benign," they offer a chilling glimpse into the psyche of an Islamic radical. The report also shows how badly the FBI bungled its Hasan investigation and suggests that the Army psychiatrist's deadly rampage could have been prevented.

Let me put it bluntly - the FBI, despite having proof that Nidal Hasan was talking to a radical terrorist iman about killing US Soldiers, allowed Hasan to continue being a FUCKING MAJOR IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY, and that allowed him to murder people at Fort Hood while screaming "ALLAHU ACKBAR".

So, to state the obvious - we now have a spy network in this country that spies on it's citizens but will not (not cannot, but WILL NOT) prevent a terrorist shithead from killing unarmed Soldiers on a military base.

Bra-fucking-vo.

On second thought, cover the baseball bats with broken glass.  Use the barbed wire to flog the fucking shit-eating assholes until they're dead.

Look, I don't even own a TV, but I've been inundated with enough Miley Cyrus crap, and vids, and pictures, and "twerking" references to last me a lifetime.

There is no reason on God's green earth why a psycho 20-year-old skank who looks like a pubescent crack whore should generate that much attention, other than to call attention to just how far and how fast this country and it's culture have fallen.  Somebody please yank her ovaries out before she can breed.

I found out about this story

over at Ace of Spades (here's the link), and it has a funny bit, and a point to ponder.

First, the humorous quote (this was from the run-up to the 2008 election that put Joe a heartbeat from the Presidency):

PORTSMOUTH — Presidential hopeful Delaware Sen. Joe Biden stated unequivocally that he will move to impeach President Bush if he bombs Iran without first gaining congressional approval.

Biden spoke in front of a crowd of approximately 100 at a candidate forum held Thursday at Seacoast Media Group. The forum focused on the Iraq war and foreign policy. When an audience member expressed fear of a war with Iran, Biden said he does not typically engage in threats, but had no qualms about issuing a direct warning to the Oval Office.

"The president has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran, and if he does, as Foreign Relations Committee chairman, I will move to impeach," said Biden, whose words were followed by a raucous applause from the local audience.

I'm not sure of the difference between Libya and Iran, except that one had just been taken off the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, never mind Syria.

The part that makes me go all facepalm-y is that last sentence. This moron had (at that time) spent the preceding 34 years in the Senate. I mean, he was elected right at the beginnings of Watergate, orated relentlessly during Clinton's Impeachment and trial (where he served as a fucking JUROR) and has to be presumed to know how the system works.

And he still says stupid shit like this. Anyone who was paying attention in 5th grade Social Studies KNOWS that Impeachment MUST begin in the House. Must. Article I, Sec. 2:

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.


The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Can we start the proceedings for involuntary commitment now, as posing a danger to himself and others? Or are we going to have to wait until he steps up to the window of his bedroom and fires off a few shotgun blasts into central DC?

Updating the Federalist Papers

I had a thought, and it deserves some airing, if only to start people thinking.

When the Founders were making their best arguments in favor of the Constitution, they were operating in an essentially pre-Industrial America, where the primary means of transportation was the horse, or shanks-mare. Iron plows were just entering common usage, and water power was the most efficient source available.

Two hundred-plus years later, the government owes more than the entire planet is worth, abusive oppression and illegal acts by the President are so common that people argue over which justifications they should put into the history books. For the children. I listed just the Bill of Rights last week.

Congress has failed in its duty to act both as a check on and a balance to, the Executive Branch, by allowing unelected pencil-pushers and bean counters to write and enforce regulations so pervasive that no man has been able to even count the number of pages accurately, with thousands of pages more every year. They have let the size of the budgetary items grow automatically without any oversight or correction from them, despite the disparity of day-to-day circumstances, and declaring other parts of the budget "off limits". This despite the fact that they describe the cutting of about 16 hours worth of operating budget as "severe" (the equivalent of skipping dessert at lunch time once a year, and bragging about how much you had lost because of it).

The Judiciary has broken faith with the citizens by writing laws where none exist, taking away the very nature of "property", allowing clearly unconstitutional laws to stand by reinventing the legal arguments used by its authors and proponents, and finally telling the citizens that not only do their beliefs not count, but that they have no right to petition the government to redress those grievances. And then a State Supreme Court says that people are mandated to violate their religious beliefs in favor of the secular beliefs of others, "as a price of citizenship" (I guess having to buy health insurance as a condition of Federal citizenship isn't enough, now we have to buy it from homosexual agents, otherwise they can sue for discrimination). Because of the tolerance.

What normally happens when a contract has been so violated by one party that nothing within it can be relied upon?

I think it's time that we start figuring out which forms of government will best serve us, going forward into the 21st Century.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
 Any ideas?
