The media promptly wet itself a little bit with joy, since an Obama/Romney race in November of next year would be their dream situation, being, as it were, a sort of de facto second Democrat primary.Yep. I've said since the 2008 election - Romney can't win, because of Romney care, which he has never, ever disavowed. I see nothing has changed since then.
You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. - Robert A. Heinlein -

Just how disgusting is Paul Krugman?
Let me put it his way - Paul Krugman is so disgusting and pathetic, that anything associated with him is automatically brought lower for having been so. Whatever awards he's won are that much lesser for having been given to him. The New York Slimes, well, they've hit the bottom of the cesspool and begun digging deeper, and having Krugman as a featured writer only makes them even worse. At this point, I wouldn't use the NYT for toilet paper, as my sphincter deserves better.
And the people who read Krugman and agree with him? Well, if everything around Krugman becomes lesser, well.... you figure it out.
Paul Krugman - a perfect example of what is wrong with this country.

September 11th
I know there is a God, because I've seen the Devil.
Just as Pearl Harbor was the defining event of my Grandfather's time, September 11th is mine. I can't say the same about all of America - I've met too many people who don't care. I've met too many people who think that America is the enemy, not the people, the culture, the ideology, the religion that attacked us.
But I know that those people are wrong.
I know that this fight is far from over, and I know that there will be others fighting it long after I'm gone. But I also know it's a fight that needs to be fought, and won.
Never Forget.
And yeah, I consider the Stars and Stripes Forever to be our unofficial National Anthem. Now here's the official one:

Tailgating
So, besides the people driving and talking on cell phones, which is pretty much a country-wide phenomenon, Wisconsin drivers are some of the most aggressive tailgaters that I've ever seen. I had one dumb bitch five feet off my ass, in a thick fog, doing 55 mph while I'm on my motorcycle. And this is on a stretch of highway that's notorious for deer; one curve is called "Bambi Corner". Which means that if Bambi jumps out and I have to grab brake, this dumb bitch is going right up my tailpipe.
So I kept slowing down. She finally passed me once I got down to 45, and I'm sure she could read my lips as I spoke some words of encouragement towards her. I give a damn if I hurt her feelings or not - there comes a certain point where it's not just tailgating. You're risking my life with your stupid, aggressive driving. And I really don't like having my life threatened just so you can get into the gate five seconds before me.

No, I didn't watch the Obama Speech
Why the hell should I? It's just the same bullshit repeated ad nauseum. I'd rather jab icepicks into my ear drums. There ain't enough alcohol in Wisconsin for me to deal with that moronic fucking twit.

One more time
To the woman who's driving like she just sucked down a fifth of cheap vodka and got on the road....
Only she wasn't drunk, she was on her cell phone. However, the end result on the road was the same. And I really hope she heard half of what I was screaming at her.

Dear Jimmy Hoffa Jr.
Since you've incited your union goons and thugs to violence, it's only fair to warn you that if any of your goons and thugs attempt to attack me or my family, I will end their life by any means necessary. It's clear from your language that you want to kill me and my family - that's the only way I can take your exhortations to "take those sons-of-bitches out". And so if I should be attacked by a union goon, I must assume that they want to kill me, and respond in kind.
As an addition, fuck you, fuck your whore of a mother, and fuck the father you never knew because he didn't pay for the first time. Fuck the horse you rode in on, fuck the goat that spawned it, and fuck the mountain it grazed on. You and your union goons are a parasite on humanity, and if I ever meet you face to face you will get a small taste of your own medicine. And I will enjoy it. You will not.
That is all.

So this trip
To make a long story short, I was part of the color guard in Washington D.C. for an annual reunion of an infantry division that was integral to the victory in Europe. Everybody knows about D-Day and Normandy. If that was the hammer, then the push up from Africa and into Italy was the anvil. So I spent the past four days as part of the color guard for about fifty veterans of the Italian Campaign. These men did more in three or four years than I've done in my entire career. One of the men enlisted when he was sixteen, got sent to Italy in '43, stayed through V-E day and the occupation, then came back in time to be sent to Korea, and finished his Army career with three tours in Viet Nam. This man literally spent half of his entire career in a war zone. It makes you feel very, very small to compare your life with theirs.
Maybe that's a good thing.
But that's where I was. It's a lot of time marching, and standing, and marching a bit more, and standing a whole lot, and then finish with a little bit more marching. The only time we didn't have to hold the colors was at the various memorials in D.C., as there's plenty of flags waving in the breeze. The one bit of time I had to myself, I ran the National Mall, from the Capitol Building to the Lincoln Memorial and back. Beautiful run.
So I've got a few photos, and some damn good memories. I'm hoping that I'll be able to do it again next year, but there's fewer and fewer of the veterans left. I made sure to walk around and shake as many hands as I could before I left. It was a humbling experience.

I'll bet you didn't know
That you can tell the exact moment when someone in a car decides to pick up a cell phone and start yakking away.
It's the exact same moment that a reasonably sane driver turns into a fuck-witted asshat of the highest order. You can tell when this occurs because they suddenly can't stay in their lane, or maintain the same speed. They also ignore everything else around them, making them a danger to every other car on the road.
Yes, this happened to me yesterday. Why do you ask?

A little Sunday Morning Jazz
This is a style of music the Ragin' Mrs. just can't stand at all, but I love it. That's OK, because she loves trance music and I don't. We do have our little differences. Anyways, one of the kings of jazz, in my not so humble opinion, is Thelonious Monk, and this is the first song of his that I ever heard.
I'm trying to avoid too many political things on Sundays. I'm finding that it does bad things to my mindset for the rest of the week.

Gutless fucking PUNKS!
Well isn't this indicative of the "liberals" in Wisconsin?
I want to puke.
Protesters crowded the street outside Messmer Preparatory School in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood as Governor Walker visited the school Friday to read to children. The protests came just hours after someone vandalized the school ahead of the Governor's visit.Yep. Real "tolerant" of those liberals, ain't it? They love the children so much that they're going to vandalize a school in order to get at that mean Mr. Walker!
"Some of these folks super glued our front doors at the prep school," said Br. Bob Smith, OFM, the president of Messmer Catholic Schools, about the school on the corner of North Fratney and East Burleigh Streets.
He told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that a woman was walking in front of the school Thursday, asking people to protest.
According to Br. Smith, one protester said " 'Get ready for a riot,' because they were going to disrupt the visit."
I want to puke.

Yeah, this fits
It's as good a description of Liberals in Wisconsin as anything else.
Even though "green" power is a load of crap, and the buy-in on windmills is just the same as Don Quixote tilting at them, city alderman Robert Bauman should still have to pay that $500,000 back out of his own pocket, and if every single possession he owns gets repossessed because of it, then maybe next time he won't be such a clueless fucking douchenozzle. And we can try to teach a lesson to all the other liberal douchenozzles at the same time, although they typically don't learn until the pain hits them personally.
The more "liberal" a government is, the more money it wastes, the more time it wastes, the more people it wastes.
It's been several years in the making but things finally seemed ready to go last month when the city finally put the project out to bid. The winner, Kettle Renewable Enterprises, had small subcontracts of $2,000 for women-and-minority-owned firms in its $500,000 offer. However, city alderman Robert Bauman decided this wasn't enough. He vetoed the project, saying more woman-and-minority firms should have been included. "If that means losing $500,000, then we'll lose $500,000," Bauman told the press.

*rending of garments*
This is the sort of thing that makes me wonder if staying with the Catholic Church is really worth it. The Church leaders who supported Obamacare are now crying foul because the law would force the Catholic Church to violate it's religious tenents.
But wait! This law was supported by a "Catholic leader"! How ever could it force a Catholic to violate their religious tenents? Read the post that's linked. And then tell me why Sister Carol Keehan still occupies a position in the church at all, because I can't figure out why.
Did she even read the bill? Or was she so in love with forcing other people to pay for her health care that she threw her support behind it regardless of what was in it? I am so sick of the Catholic church supporting liberal causes when those causes are pretty much antithetical to what the actual teaching of the church is. I go to church for my spirit, not to hear political lectures. And here we are, with the Catholic church getting bit in the ass by Obamacare, and Sister Carol Keehan is shocked, SHOCKED that the Catholic hospitals will not be exempt from it's regulation.
I want to vomit right now.

The War Against Christianity
Continues, this time in Spain. Look at the pictures. If this had happened to a group of "ethnic" folks, or women, or gays, it would be front page news. But because it's happening to Catholics, nobody cares.
I keep having a line run through my head, from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide. One of the opening lines is "So about two-thousand years after a man was nailed to a tree for suggesting that everybody be nice to each other.....'
What is it about Christianity that threatens people so much? Or is it just that these hateful people have a target that they know will not strike back? I must admit that I'm not a very good Christian. Had someone been screaming in my face like that, I would have taken his flag and beaten him senseless with it.

And again
On the post I wrote Thursday, does it make a difference if Obama is deliberately trying to destroy America, or if he's just too fucking stupid to be allowed scissors with sharp points on the end? Because the result is the same.
Personally, I think the reason Obama ignored our Free Trade Agreement with Columbia is that he can't stand any country that's friendly with America. That's why he coddles and appeases our enemies and rebukes our friends. He hates America to his very core, and he cannot stand any country that's a friend to the country he hates.

Quote of the Day, YOU FUCKING VOTED FOR THIS edition
Peggy Noonan's winding up on Obama's vacation, and someone else points out the obvious:
I don't want to hear ONE GOD-DAMNED WORD out of the mouths of those intellectual fucking morons, because the only thing their intellectualism seems to afford them is entrance into all the right parties in Washington D.C. It certainly doesn't afford them any common sense, or actual intelligence. No, it affords them a spot in the Ivory Tower, along with the rest of the people who are intent on driving America into the ground at a high rate of speed. Fucking worthless shitheads.
“It’s also worth pointing out that Obama isn’t behaving any differently now than he did when Noonan thought he was wonderful. . . . The stuff they’re criticizing him for now is the same stuff we told them when they tried to sell us on him. And they’re acting like it never happened.”Oh my gosh, Obama is a worthless, useless douchenozzle, and all the supposedly smart, intelligent, educated people who all voted for him are now feeling a little ripped off. Hey, all of us rednecked, knucledragging freaks in Jesusland who were trying to warn the intelligencia about Obama, who were called racists, who were told to shut up, who were treated like crap, all our predictions are coming true, and in the case where our predictions are NOT coming true it's only because the reality is WORSE than our predictions.......
Obama keeps troops in Iraq
Hey, I guess Obama's pullout is as trustworthy as a teen-age boy's "pull-out", if you know what I mean. More from Mudville Gazette.

Tell me again
Why we should trust the government? Ever?
And why were they promoted?
Keep in mind that the firearms that the ATF allowed to go to the Mexican drug cartels have been linked to multiple crimes, including the death of a Border Patrol Agent. How many more people have to die before the government idiots in charge of this clusterfuck get sent to jail?
This week, the Bereau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms promoted three of the officials responsible for Operation Fast and Furious:
All three have been heavily criticized for pushing the program forward even as it became apparent that it was out of control. At least 2,000 guns were lost and many turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and two at the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.
And why were they promoted?
They were all placed in protected positions which shields them from public view. The assistant to the assistant director position was created under former Acting Director Mike Sullivan to shield corrupt and exposed managers so as to keep their grade and benefits.

Stolen and copied in total
I hope Mr. Alger doesn't mind.
THE PRESIDENT bought him a bus (well, two) -- (at taxpayer expense) ({flipwilson}The Secret Service made me buy 'dis bus. {/flipwilson}.) (Wonder if he's discovered that the seats in the back of the bus are usually the most comfortable.
And now he's out there pulling political drive-bys on the Republicans.
And he keeps urging people to call Congress and demand action on a laundry list of Obama's initiatives.
I say we call his bluff. The White House switchboard is: (202)456-1414. Call him up. Tell him to cut spending. Repeal Obamacare. Hell, propose a freaking budget!
...
Spread it around.
Holy moly....
In a video at Hot Air, Maxine Waters, another communist parasite in Congress, blathers on about Obama, and makes a statement that literally left my jaw hanging open: At the 1:03 mark in the video, Waters babbles that "We don't know why on this trip he's on in the United States now he doesn't visit any black communities, we don't know that...."
Why should he visit any black communities, Maxine? He's trying to get re-elected, and he knows that Black-Americans, 91% of whom value skin color over character or content if the 2008 election results are to be believed, are going to vote for him no matter what! He's not visiting black communities because he already has your vote, and he knows it, and YOU know it! He's not going to waste any time or money stumping for votes in a group that he can take for granted 24/7/365.
Does that sting anybody? Are you black, and pissed off at me right now? But did I get you to think a little bit? Good. One of my former co-workers who was black, fairly conservative, a pastor on Sunday, opposed to gay marriage, opposed to gays in the military, opposed to quite a bit of the liberal agenda, and yet he voted for Obama, and had a picture of the Obama family up in his cubicle. And then he got upset when Obama repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell, but still kept that photo up. He got upset with Obama told the DOJ to not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, but he still kept that photo up in his cubicle. Time and time again, he was muttering to me in the break room "I can't believe Obama did that shit, man" but he never ONCE wavered in his support of a man who was an ideological opponent in many ways. He still valued skin color over actions and deeds. That's what we're fighting against.
So Maxine Waters babbles about how she can't understand why Obama isn't visiting black communities. The answer comes from those black communities themselves. Despite the failure of Obama's socialist policies, despite the failure of Obamanomics, despite failure after failure after failure that can be laid at Obama's feet, they worship the man as some sort of hero, just because his skin color and theirs happen to be the same. And then they call people like me racists on almost a daily basis.
We need more Alan Wests, and less Maxine Waters.

Two situations, one outcome
Situation A) Obama is the dumbest, most gutless piece of shit that's ever infested the Oval Office. He's clueless, bumbling from one crisis to the next, ineffectually waving his hands over the growing fire, grabbing the gas-can instead of the water bucket and dumping it onto the ever-growing inferno. His tongue-tied remarks piss off friends and invite mockery from enemies. He's the Mr. Bean of politics, only without any happy ending.
Situation B) Obama is a smart, America-hating hard-core Marxist, doing everything he can in order to bring about the downfall of the country that he was elected to lead. Anything going wrong, he researches and finds a way to make it worse. He refuses his daily economic briefings because he only cares about how to crash the market, not grow it. He deliberately alienates our allies and coddles our enemies, hoping to cause enough strife in the world that America is seen as weak and impotent.
Tell me, given either option, would the end result even matter?
Because that's what we're dealing with right now.

Mad Town
Heading down to Madison later today to look at a park where I'm helping photograph a wedding. Then to a brewery for dinner.
In the meantime, I have a "To Do" list, and a "Maybe Do" list sitting in front of me. I'd like to knock out all the "To Do" list before vacation is over.

Saving up money
And turning it into cigars. Just made a big fat order that should be here Monday. If I'm going to be accused of being a greedy bastard, I need to have a cigar so I can blow smoke into people's faces while I tell them to fuck off.

Dear Wisconsin
Today is another recall election day, only this time it's to recall the fleebaggers who love them some Chicago rather than actually doing their jobs.
Kick their asses out. Hard.
Kick their asses out. Hard.
Let me say it again
After reading The Visceral Terror of a Tea Party Presidency: The upcoming election will not be a fight between our guy and Obama. It's going to be a massive, bare-knuckle brawl between our guy and the Media, who are desperate to prop up their Marxist Messiah at all costs, and who will do their utter best to bring down anyone who's to the right of Vladimir Lenin.
Be prepared. And punch back twice as hard.

And I'm back
Tired, sore, and not wanting to get out of bed and go running this morning. But it's either run or get fat, so I hauled my carcass out from the comfort of the blankets and took the dog for a run.
I see that a few things happened while I was out. Pawlenty dropped out of the race; that was to be expected, unfortunately. He's a good guy, but too many conservatives rightly want to see blood, and T-Paw was not the guy to do that.
Obama continues to be a douchenozzle. Look at it this way - so long has he's on vay-cay at Martha's Vineyard, he can't fuck this country up any worse. Hell, it would better for us if he just stayed there.
My right shoulder just told me to go to hell. In those very words.
Gotta go pay the bills!

Stealing the question
Is a .380 a suitable handgun caliber for self defense?
My answer? Any gun is better than no gun. A gun that you can control is better than a hand-cannon you can't. If he practiced with a .380, then that's the gun he needs to carry.

Obama uses Dead Soldiers for Photo Op
How many times have I said it? Obama only gives a shit about the military when he can get a good photo from it to help his re-election chances.
Problem is, this time he did it over the direct objections of the deceased Soldier's families.
Obama, you fucking ghoul, you aren't fit to be called the Commander in Chief. You have no right to violate those families wishes when it comes to how the remains of their loved ones are handled. And the fact that you essentially told them to piss up a rope highlights just what a narcissistic, brainless, classless fucking ASSHOLE you are.
I will fucking dance a jig the day that god-damned piece of worm shit is kicked out of the Oval Office. Holy fuck me gently with a chainsaw, every time I remember that he's CinC I want to go vomit. We would be better served with a fucking baboon in that position. At least the baboon wouldn't insult the families of dead Soldiers.

Busy as hell
Didn't even have time to get online yesterday. I did however manage to start a five gallon batch of ginger beer. We'll see how it comes out.

I really, really hope they vote for freedom.

Anyone remember The Toadies
I remember this song from back in high school. I wanted their bassist, in a bad way. Take that however you want.
Back in my young, dumb and full of cum days, I would have made her walk funny for months on end. A cute little pixie, wearing what looks to be a hockey jersey, playing bass? Oh yes, teenage Dave like very much.

Torchlight
So I'm sitting out in my yard smoking a cigar and surfing the web. Due to the high number of mosquitos we have here in Wisconsin, I've got citronella torches lit, all the way around my table. It's dark, but I've got light all around me. Middle Ages kind of light.
No, there's nothing special about it, other than the fact that it's the very same kind of light we'll enjoy when we can't afford electricity thanks to government regulation.

Memories of my youth
Anyone else remember Lisa Loeb? I used to love this song. Still do, as a matter of fact.
Part of it isn't just her voice; it's the background musicians that are all joining in. Bass, drums, rhythm guitar. Yeah, she's got a good voice. Yes, her talent is there. But the foundation that's set in this song got me hooked. Play it through, and try to listen to the background that carries the song.

John F'n Kerry hates the First Amendment
And wants the Tea Party to go away. Well, duh! He's a fucking Democrat American Communist Party member! How can he control the country if he can't control information?
La Crosse Tea Party
Wandered on down. Got to see Dan Kapanke speak. Since I vote in my home state and not in Wisconsin there wasn't much I could do but listen, give support and take a few pictures. Click on the pics for a larger view.
Here's the Tea Party Express, parked next to the shelter that the rally was held in:
The next set of photos are of the Shilling supporters who showed up and tried to disrupt the rally. The guy in the red shirt, I've dubbed "Mr. Douche". He first caught my eye during the Star Spangled Banner, because instead of singing, or holding his hand over his heart, he was stomping around with a pissed off look on his face. Only a stinking hippy would be upset at the Star Spangled Banner. He tried to get a reaction by yelling a few statements when the speakers were talking about the unions, but the folks at the Tea Party rally just gave him a look and proceeded to ignore him. He eventually stomped off to the side of the rally where his comrades were. Here's a couple shots of Mr. Douche conferring with the Shilling folks who were taking pictures of the rally:
This is a photo that I titled "Mr. Douche and the Douchettes":
Dan Kapanke, the state senator under recall, spoke for about ten minutes:
Where ever the Tea Party goes, the Leftist tools must follow! Love the "solidarity" shirts! I guess all those teachers that still have their jobs because of the legislation that Kapanke supported don't rate your solidarity. Only the teachers who got laid off because their school districts signed a collective bargaining agreement rate your "solidarity". And the Shame is the shame of the Democrats who ran away like little bitches rather than do their jobs. Yeah, that fact got mentioned a few times. It should have been mentioned more.
Tabitha Hale from FreedomWorks: She and Kapanke were probably the best speakers of the event.
And that's about it. There was a smaller crowd than I would have liked to see, but the timing certainly wasn't the greatest. Not to blame the Tea Party Express - they show up when they can, and it was up to the folks in La Crosse to make it there. I would have preferred to hear less made-for-TV soundbites, and more about how the legislation that Kapanke supported worked on getting Wisconsin back on track financially. We don't need political speech, we need down to earth facts, and WE HAVE THEM. Use them.

Downgraded
This is what happens when you're broke, your credit cards are maxed out, your house is in foreclosure, and you go out and buy a fucking Porsche. This is what happens when Obama the fucking douchebag gets his way. This is what happens when you cannot be trusted to pay your bills, because you're borrowing more than you make.

Playing catch-up
Work has been a bear, lately. Since I was planning on moving out, I had pretty much separated myself from the daily routine. Once the orders were cancelled, all the work came rushing back like the waters from a dam that just let go.
Add in my kick to lose weight, and the added time exercising in the morning, and I barely have time to log on to my computer. So if posting gets a bit sporadic or odd, that's why.
And yes, I still have the goal of walking into the bedroom, flexing, and having my wife's clothes damn near vaporize off her body in response.

To my dear co-workers
Can any one of you explain how you apparently shit SIDEWAYS and covered the sides of the toilet bowl with your nasty spray?
Seriously!
Put the fucking fried foods down! Stop eating your lunch out of a vending machine. For all that's holy, eat a friggin' salad! You'll feel better, and I won't have to deal with the after effects of your completely inadequate diet.
Oh, and the guy who peed on TOP of the urinal? If you are incapable of using a large, open porcelain tub, if you cannot pee into an opening two feet by three feet while you are STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO IT, may I suggest sterilization? Because you're too stupid to pollute my gene pool.

Screwed
I have seen and heard multiple people say multiple times that we're not voting ourselves out of this mess. After seeing the clusterfuck of a bill that Washington D.C. is hailing as a great compromise, I'm in full agreement - we're not voting ourselves out of this mess.
Stock up on ammo. It'll come in handy when the government collapses under it's own bloated weight.

Did I move to Louisiana during the day and not notice?

Obamacare now costs more than doing nothing
Well, DUH! Look folks, the more people you have doing a job, the more expensive the job gets. When you have the feds take over a job, the costs skyrocket because you have massive administrative (read: bureaucratic) costs. All the various parasites and hanger-ons all want their cut.
If you were to hire out a job that requires total and complete inactivity to the Feds, they'd still charge you thousands of dollars to do it.

Quote of the Day, F**K YEAH edition
Three sentences that perfectly encapsulate the debt ceiling debate!
Republican compromise is what’s gotten us into this mess in the first place. That the left wails “they did it too” proves that they acknowledge this.
Bush’s abysmal approval ratings at the end of his presidency shows that we conservatives didn’t approve of it then either.

Senate Democrats demand country commit suicide
And they do it unanimously! In short, the Senate Democrat American Communist Party members have all signed a letter to John Boehner that say his bill cannot and will not pass the Senate. Period.
These are the worthless MFCS that haven't passed a budget in two years.
These are the god-damned parasites who haven't put forth a plan that doesn't drive us over the cliff into bankruptcy.
These are the worthless Marxists who, having spent your money, your children's money, and your grandchildren's money, are now demanding that we enslave further generations so that they can get re-elected by buying people stuff with borrowed cash.
Fuck the Democrats. They are certifiably insane. They will not listen to reason. They will not compromise. They only demand to spend more money, more money, more money, more money, we're trillions of dollars in debt but they want to spend MORE MORE MORE MORE OF YOUR MONEY and pass the bill on to your children.
Right now, I say default. Bring the entire house of cards down. I don't think it can be fixed or taken care of while the Democrats still have control, because they have proven that they are completely incapable of working inside the confines of reality, much less resonability.
Roger Simon has an idea of why Obama will not produce his budget plan. It doesn't matter. We're fucked, and going down. Let me know when the shooting starts.

So that’s how this story ends. With the party of endless spending and entitlements unto death lecturing fiscal conservatives on how they’re leading the country into a credit downgrade. Perfecto.

What a friggin' DOUCHEBAG!
Obama has got to be the most condescending, arrogant, moronic worthless piece of shit to ever stand in front of a microphone! From his "speech" last night, which was nothing more than an arrogant fucking asshole trying to lecture America:
Yep. A FAILURE of LEADERSHIP. That's what we have here today! A FAILURE of LEADERSHIP. And that is because the worthless fucking douchebag in the Oval Office has never run anything that didn't get public funds. The arrogant fucking asshole in the Oval Office has only signed the BACK of a paycheck, never the front of one. That brainless fucking twit in the Oval Office is the biggest red-diaper-doper-baby this country has ever been forced to put up with, an idiotic loser who makes Jimmy Carter look like a fucking brilliant strategist by comparison!
Dear God, is it election time yet? I don't know if this country will survive Obama, unless we can marginalize him into irrelevance. Let him huddle in his office, issuing his imperial edicts and screaming at the staff, so long as he can't damage the country any further.
Hey, you fucking DOUCHEBAG! GUESS WHAT! Not only do I know what the debt ceiling is, I've known about it for decades, and on top of that I can remember when a certain junior senator was against raising the debt ceiling! Remember THIS, you arrogant fucking prick? Now, what makes today’s stalemate so dangerous is that it has been tied to something known as the debt ceiling – a term that most people outside of Washington have probably never heard of before.Understand – raising the debt ceiling does not allow Congress to spend more money. It simply gives our country the ability to pay the bills that Congress has already racked up.
The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.
Yep. A FAILURE of LEADERSHIP. That's what we have here today! A FAILURE of LEADERSHIP. Wisconsin Update
Gov. Walker's bill has allowed school districts to improve service and eliminate deficits.
Don't look for this in the MSM, aka the Democrat Propaganda Machine. It's doesn't advance the narrative.

The Answer is "Yes".
The question is "Is Obama Bat-shit Crazy?" Although the writer phrases is much more politely.
Obama is crazy as a shithouse rat, and the congresscritters who insist that we need to spend MORE money are just as crazy.
On the topic of his conduct so far, the architect of the new Depression said, “we’ve made good choices so far.” (I am not making this up. He really said that.) He also declared, “The United States of America doesn’t run out without paying the tab. We pay our bills. We meet our obligations.”
Um… Mr. President? Running a huge deficit means, by definition, that you are not “paying your bills,” and you are the one who keeps threatening that your government will not “meet its obligations,” by shutting off Social Security checks, veterans benefits, and other essential services.
It’s time to face the unpleasant truth. President Barack Hussein Obama has gone mad.
Obama is crazy as a shithouse rat, and the congresscritters who insist that we need to spend MORE money are just as crazy.
Amy Winehouse is dead at age 27
And kids, this is why you don't do drugs! She went from a good looking gal to a skinny, strung out crack whore, to dead.
Drugs kill, folks.

Ave Maria
One of the biggest problems I have with the Catholic Church is that after Vatican II, they moved away from many of the traditional hymns and music, and went towards more... well.... "modern" music. Many of the songs I've sung at church make me wonder just what the hell the composer was thinking.
Give me a church where songs like this are sung on a regular basis, and I'd be in there every day. We're worshiping God. We should do so with as much beauty as we can possibly manage.

I am such a friggin' geek
I'm watching a movie about the Roman Legions in Britain, and I'm looking at the armor a character is wearing, and I notice that the leather straps on his armor are secured by snap rivets. And I think to myself "Wait a second, those aren't authentic! Those are a modern invention. The Romans would have sewn that part together!"
Yeah. I'm a geek.
Yeah. I'm a geek.
Boehner stiffens his spine?
Well, good! There is no reason that the Republicans need to play the games that Obama is playing. Obama and the Left are dishonest hacks who don't give a shit about this country, and it shows in their actions. The GOP needs to nail their ass to the wall on their inability to deal with reality.

Dear Wisconsin Democrats
Take your public employee unions, your protests and your recall elections, and shove them right up your ass. They'll fit up there if you tilt your head just so. In the meantime, Gov. Walker is going to make sure that Wisconsin has a fighting chance at survival.
Remember, if Walker and the Republican legislature had not pushed their bills and gotten the job done, Wisconsin would be sucking hind tit with a majority of the country. Pass this along to your Democrat friends, if you have any.
Earlier this month, analysts were dismayed by the nation’s anemic job creation numbers. On Thursday, state officials were pleased as they released data that showed more than half of the net new jobs added in the US in June came from Wisconsin.

Bachmann's migrains
OK, so let's say that everything is true, and Michelle Bachmann suffers from migraines.
She's been one of the most outspoken members of Congress for a few years now. She's constantly out front, pushing for conservative ideals and starting the Tea Party Caucus in Congress. She's been busier than almost anyone else in Congress in terms of bringing conservative arguments to America.
So what's the excuse for the other people? If Michelle Bachmann has managed to separate herself from the crowd and be a front-runner for the 2012 nomination, as well as be a leader in the conservative movement, all while supposedly suffering from "debilitating" migraines......
THEN WHAT THE SAM HELL IS WRONG WITH THE REST OF THE GOP? Debilitating SYPHILIS? Intercranial Fecalstenosis? Cranial-Rectal Impaction? If Michelle Bachmann is so debilitated that she can't function, and she's managed to do everything she's done for the past couple of years, then that must mean that everybody else is so debilitated from whatever their disease de jour is that they can't manage to actually stand for the principals they claimed to hold while they were running for election!
Or...... Maybe this is just a partisan hit-piece on Bachmann, paid for by people who are more interested in getting invited to the right D.C. parties than what's good for this country. Hmmmmmm..... Gosh, it could just be that, couldn't it?

Oh, Day-um!
Ok, fine, yeah, correlation doesn't equal causation, but there's no other way to read this report about how Obamacare pretty much killed job creation in this country.
Business owners aren't stupid. They have to make a profit, otherwise they go out of business. Obamacare is going to kill their profit margin. It's going to kill their budget. And it's going to kill their business. So they aren't hiring, because they cannot hire without the possibility of being run out of business thanks to Obamacare's regulation.
Read the whole thing. Don't expect to see the economy rebound any time soon while Obama and the rest of the Marxist Morons are in charge.

Quote of the Day, Standing up to Bullies edition
From Phineas posting at Sister Toldjah:
It's about damn time that people started hitting back when the worthless parasites of the Left get nasty. The way to deal with bullies is to confront them. If you let them get away with their abusive behavior, the behavior will only continue.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is nothing more than a race-baiting hyper-partisan tool and professional pol whose main goal is to serve the Democratic Party’s needs before her own country’s.
Some might argue that Rep. West should have held back, been a gentleman, generally “above it all” and “better than that.” Bunk. What that really means is that we should stand there and take the progressive Democrats’ churlish behavior on the chin, for they will never act with grace regardless of how restrained we are.
It's about damn time that people started hitting back when the worthless parasites of the Left get nasty. The way to deal with bullies is to confront them. If you let them get away with their abusive behavior, the behavior will only continue.
Liberals see Opportunities for big cuts in Defense
I bet they do. And I'm with Mr. McGrath here, when he says:
Here's the thing - a lot of the waste in the DoD stems from how money gets allocated in the first place. If I want more money for my budget next year, I have to prove that I need it by spending ALL of my money this year, and then demanding more.
It's a flawed system from the get go. If I actually cut back, trim my budget, and save the government money, then that's money that I WILL NOT GET NEXT YEAR no matter how much I need it. No matter if my mission has gone from 30 events to 50 events. "Well Dave, why do you need that much money? You didn't spend what you had last year!"
And I don't know where all the money is going. Most if it is likely going to personnel costs, and we're losing spots at an alarming rate. The Army is doing everything it can to clamp down on money being spent for people, and it's already hit my office. Out of a six man team, we lost two folks that we had on orders thanks to a change in rules. So we're down a third, but our optempo hasn't slowed down one bit.
Yes, there are things that can be cut in the military. Yes, we could save money by changing our practices. But our practices are created by Congress, and I haven't seen any indication that things are going to change.
By the way - should the military get cut, I want to see commiserate cuts throughout the government. There's more than enough fat, fraud and waste to go around, let's start cutting THAT!
Their collective desires to denude DoD of nearly $1 trillion spring not from a sense of what is best for the national defense of the US strategically, but primarily from the standpoint of how to find money within the existing discretionary budget to keep from making real choices on entitlements.

House passes Cut Cap and Balance
Yeah, He Lied
It's what he does. It's what all the Left does. They can't enact their agenda without lying, because if they told the truth, sane people wouldn't allow them within a mile of Washington D.C.

Nature
Sitting out in the yard last night, reading a book and smoking my pipe, a flash of lighting caught my eye. I hadn't seen any thunderclouds when I sat down, and looking to the Northwest which they normally come from I didn't see any clouds to speak of.
Then I looked North and East.
It's one thing to see a thunderhead at a distance, but to see one forming right above you, building as you watch, and to see lighting begin cracking as the cloud gets larger and larger... it makes you realize how powerful nature is.
Went running this morning, through a thick cloud of fog. As I jogged down the sidewalk, I saw round, white patches on the grass. I slowed down and took a closer look, and realized that it was a spiderweb, and the fog had collected in tiny little droplets on the web so that I could see it. First one, then another, then tens of them, and as I ran through the park I could see hundreds of little spider webs, spanning the top of the grass. I could see the webs in the trees in the park, and coating the struts of the bridge that I run over.
Normally, I don't see a single one. Today I saw thousands. It makes you realize how amazing nature is.

Heat and Humidity
I woke up to 80+ degrees and humidity that made me wish for gills when I let the dog out this morning. So naturally I went running.
I'm currently sitting on the edge of the couch to avoid soaking the cushions. And it's not going to cool down for a few days. I need to stock up on Gatorade.

Quote of the Day, OH YEAH edition
Over the dinner table, while discussing the Ragin' Step-son's desire for non-alcoholic daiquiris.
Ragin' Mrs: I think he likes Strawberry Kool-Aide
Me: Doesn't everybody like Strawberry Kool-Aide?
Ragin' Step-son: Not the Kool-Aide man!
Me: OHHH YEAH!
Ragin' Mrs: Yep, but that Kool-Aide guy got all those kids to drink him!
Me: You think he was a pedophile?
Ragin' Mrs: Nah, I just think he had a Jesus complex.

Me: I'm so putting this on the blog.

Quote of the Day, Self-Hating edition
My quote of the day from May 20th of this year, right after Obama tried to throw Israel under the bus:
At Legal Insurrection, it's pretty much confirmed:
Now, I know that the context of the quote is somewhat skewed. I'm OK with that. It's still the truth, and so long as a good portion of this country is poisoning themselves with the New York Slimes' toxic brew, they'll continue to slowing kill themselves off, until they're too weak to stop the last jackboot from crushing their skulls.
Just the way theDemocrat American Communist Party likes it.
Here’s the truth: Barack Obama could suggest that the Palestinians solve their problems with Israel buy building a great many gas-powered ovens with attached cyanide showers, and an awful lot of American Jews would still trek right off to the polls and pull the lever under his name.
At Legal Insurrection, it's pretty much confirmed:
I reach my conclusion not based on the quality of the polling, but the reality of what I hear and see day in and day out. Purely anecdotal observations: Obama will lose some Jewish support, on the magnitude of 10% (give or take) less than in 2008, but Jews still will vote significantly in favor of Obama.
Want to know why? This is why:
“In my house growing up, The Times substituted for religion. If The Times said it, it was the absolute truth.”

Gutless Punk Bitch runs away from harsh reality
Or, as the New York Times might put it, "Brave God King Obama Refuses to deal with Lesser, Impudent Mortals!"
My disgust with that worthless piece of shit grows every passing day. Did you see him threatening Social Security checks if he didn't get what he wanted? That slimy, corrupt parasite is almost to the point of throwing himself on the floor, drumming his heels and going into a shrieking temper tantrum.
I can't believe he's president. This is one long nightmare. And I'm finding myself hating the half of the country who voted for that pathetic asshole. He is Incompetence times Corruption squared.

Nothing today
Quite frankly, between Mitch McConnell turning into Charlie Brown, the SEIU goons who beat Kenneth Gladney into a hospital bed being found "Not Guilty" by a union jury, or any of the various outrages perpetrated by the government against the people of this country, I just don't have anything to say that would be constructive, other than keep your powder dry.
That's if you can afford powder in the Obama economy, where prices just keep going up up UP! Except the price on my house. Of course.

Boogie Woogie
After listening to a bunch of music on the radio while driving, I've been needing some real good music to cleanse my eardrums out. So buckle down, I gots ta boogie! First up, some classic tunes:
And to bridge the gap....
Enjoy. I'm going to dance into the shower now.
And to bridge the gap....
Enjoy. I'm going to dance into the shower now.
What is the point
Of having a commander in chief, if that CinC can't even be bothered to react when Americans are attacked? Or as Micheal Ledeen asks, "Are we going to do anything about those who kill Americans?"
As someone who can find himself at the pointy end of the spear, and who saw how horrible the Clinton Administration was with regard to Rules of Engagement and allowing American Soldiers to defend themselves, this Obama Administration scares the living shit out of me. I see nothing that shows me Obama or any of his military leadership would defend this country from any kind of attack, or that they would defend American lives from our enemies overseas. The most Obama would do is issue some mealy-mouth platitudes that tries to show he cares, and then he'll do NOTHING of substance. That would require integrity and backbone, and Obama has neither. How do we know? Because it's what he's doing now.
Pathetic. Gutless. Spineless. Hopeless. I can't believe what I'm seeing from the White House right now. The French have more balls than we do.

I think this is a good summation
"Let me be clear: No New Taxes, until you bitter clinger morons have re-elected my anointed self."
There's a reason I never watch an Obama speech - I can't stand that level of arrogance, narcissism, stupidity, and Marxism rolled into one putrid display.

Call your Congresscritters
Pepper them with facts, and then ask when the impeachments start.
There is no reason for anyone involved in Operation Fast and Furious to continue having a job in the government. Ever. We can only calculate how many people have died due to the Obama Administration selling guns to drug cartels.
Let's repeat that last little bit, shall we? The Obama Administration is/was selling guns to Mexican drug cartels. All the reasoning after that means bupkis. We know that Obama wants to use the "American guns are finding their way into Mexico!" as a reason to impose gun control. There are some folks out there who think that this is the reason the Obama administration was selling guns to the Mexican drug cartels. But the reasoning behind it still means bupkis. The Obama Administration was selling guns to the Mexican drug cartels.
Why haven't the impeachment proceedings started yet? Call your congresscritter and ask.

Just to add on
Susan Feinberg is the perfect example of a raving, psychotic, lunatic moonbat that infests the Left.

Dean Martin
Sometimes I wonder if he just performed pickled most the time, but he was one of the classic crooners of all time, and I just like to play his CD and try to imitate his sound. That smooth as cream voice, that made women's panties melt away like ice on a hot day.....

Today's Planned for, pre-scheduled post
So, from an email that my Congress-critter sends out, I got the "Ten Cannots" that I figured I would share. I didn't want to post it on Independence Day, so I just scheduled it out a day. I think I'm going to print these out and put them up on my quote wall at work for a day or two.
A few years ago, I shared “The Ten Cannots” by Reverend William J.H. Boetcher in an edition of E-News. This year as we deal with a mounting debt crisis that is a threat to our way of life, an ever encroaching federal government, skyrocketing cost of entitlement programs and federal, state and local governments that are adding literally thousands of new laws and tens of thousands of pages of new regulations every year, I would like to share these wise words with you again; some things bear repeating.

- You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
- You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
- You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
- You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
- You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
- You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
- You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
- You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
- You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
- And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves

Independence Day
I'll bet that when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence back on July 2nd, 1776, they never thought that people would celebrate that event on the Fourth of July instead.
In all seriousness........
Go hug your family. Enjoy the day. Watch fireworks. Eat lots of food and drink lots of whatever your favorite beverage is.
And then tomorrow wake up and start fighting for your independence all over again.

Vacation Time
I'll be heading out tomorrow, and I will not have the internet for a week. I've got a few pre-scheduled posts, but other than that no bloggy goodness from me until the 11th or 12th.
It'll be good to get away for a while.

Battle Hymn of the Republic
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of Wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible Swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
CHORUS
Glory, glory! Hallelujah! Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
Glory, glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watchfires of a hundred circling Camps;
They have building Him an altar in the evening dews and Damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring Lamps;
Our God is marching on.
CHORUS
I have read a fiery gospel, writ in burnished rows of steel;
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall Deal;
Let the hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."
CHORUS
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call Retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgement Seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! by jubliant, My feet!
Our God is marching on.
CHORUS
In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the Sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me;
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
CHORUS
