So, I just heard on the news (tried to find a link but couldn't) that there's a lawsuit being filed against Wendy's by a group of illegal aliens who were fired last month.
Now it may seem simple, but there's a twist:
These aliens have been working at Wendy's since around 2000-2001. They were told that if they did x, y, and z then they could become citizens. Now, that included filling out paperwork, paying taxes, and paying legal fees.
So these illegal aliens fill out the paperwork, pay taxes on their wages, and also pay $25 a month in legal fees, all in an attempt to become American citizens. Only the legal firm DOESN'T FILE THE DAMN PAPERWORK! So these people have been working for five or six years, thinking that they'll become US citizens, paying taxes, and paying LEGAL FEES to a lawyer has screwed them over, and then get fired last month because they're illegal aliens.
I'm kinda torn on this.
#1 - They're illegal aliens. They broke the law. That makes them criminals.
#2 - For years they've been doing what they were told that they need to do. They've paid taxes, for Pete's sake! They filled out paperwork saying "Yes, we came here illegally, but we're willing to do what we need to do to make it right." And they've worked their asses off trying to become citizens. The only law they broke was the law at the border, and they've been by all accounts exemplary people ever since. Hell, working at Wendy's for five years? That's gotta nominate someone for sainthood.
So here's my thinking - I honestly think that these people should sue, and I hope they win. And I'll admit, what won me over was the fact that they've been paying their taxes like ordinary citizens. Hell, that's been the big sticking point with illegal aliens to begin with - they come here for benefits that we pay for, while contributing absolutely nothing. You can't say that with this group.
Plus, they were told years ago that they would become citizens if they did this, that, and those. So they did this, that, and those, and then they get fired and told to piss off.
That ain't kosher.
Anyways, I say that they should win the lawsuit. Gimme your opinion.
You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. - Robert A. Heinlein -

How to show you're an idiot
We just had a commenter leave a dropping in the comments where he stated that politicians control the price of oil. You know, to effect the election coming up.
Look, I've heard that particular theory espoused many times, mostly from the Left, but a few people on the right succumb to mental deterioration as well. I'm not going to be nice here. If you actually think that politicians can directly control the price of oil, then you are a fucking idiot.
Hold on.... maybe I can be nicer about what I want to say.
Nope. I can't. Fucking idiot sums it up nicely. Only someone with no comprehension of macroeconomics coupled with kool-aid guzzling gullability argues in ernest that politicians can directly influence oil prices. Someone so sand-poundingly ignorant of basic market facts, so jaw-dropping stupid, so mouth-breathing dumb, so, so..... DEMOCRAT, that the sheer idiotic force radiating from their lack of intelligence can drop the IQ points of everyone around them by half.
(Which explains why so many big cities end up voting for Dimocrats. They can't get away from the stupidity that radiates from the other Dimocrats, so they all wander into a voting booth and pull the lever for (D), most likely drooling on themselves and muttering "ChimyMcHitlerburton" every so often.)
Look, oil is a commodity. It's traded on the open market. There are quite a few things that politicians can do to attempt to influence the price, but they cannot call up Exxon and say "Listen Bill, I need to get re-elected. Would you mind raising the price of sweet crude for me?" It doesn't happen, despite the tin-foil wrapped rantings of the insane Left (redundancy alert) and a few loony members of the right. Oil is bought and sold on the open market, and the market sets the price. Not only that, but the people buying oil right now are not buying today's oil, they are buying the oil that will be pumped and shipped six months from now. When gas prices went up, it's because six months beforehand, people were paying a lot more money for oil, thinking that supply would be cut either at the well or at the refinery. When a major hurricane refused to appear, leaving our refineries in good shape, the people paid less for the same oil because there was a good supply. Ergo, prices went down.
Politicians can only meddle at the fringes with oil prices. If the gutless politicians would open up ANWAR, oil prices would go down because there would be a greater supply on domestic soil. But it wouldn't be a sudden drop, nor would it be a great drastic change. If politicians suddenly refused to buy oil from Venezuela, oil prices would go up. But they wouldn't just jump up tomorrow, they would jump in the future, since that's when people are purchasing the oil. Gas prices would go up at the news, but gas isn't controlled or purchased exactly like oil is.
I don't have the time to sit down and give a class on how commodity trading works, or why it effects things the way it does. And I'm certainly not the best person to teach macroeconomics. There will probably be someone coming in here to say "You got this or this wrong", which is fine because I'd rather someone give me the right information rather than stupidly insist that I'm correct when I'm not. (I'm a conservative, not a liberal.) Oil isn't the only commodity bought and sold. Wheat is a commodity. Hell, just open up your local newspaper and look at the commodities section. Anyone can find out about it if they actually give a shit enough to learn.
Which is why the next person who comes onto this blog and states that politicians can change the price of oil at their whim will be labeled "FUCKING IDIOT".

The Left Hates Free Speech (part 12,826,487,982)
Feel the tolerance!
Captain Ed has more:
Debate is possible between the Left and the Right. But not at Columbia University. In fact, I'm willing to bet that at most major universities, debate is impossible. When you crush free thought and allow only one side to express themselves, that tends to retard the free expression of ideas between two ideological sides.
I'll let Captain Ed give the last bit:
Free speech? The Left loves it, so long as it only applies to them. But free speech for everyone? Not a chance. The Left can't stand that thought. Scratch a Dimocrat, find a dictator.
Captain Ed has more:
Students stormed the stage at Columbia University's Roone auditorium yesterday, knocking over chairs and tables and attacking Jim Gilchrist, the founder of the Minutemen, a group that patrols the border between America and Mexico.
Mr. Gilchrist and Marvin Stewart, another member of his group, were in the process of giving a speech at the invitation of the Columbia College Republicans. They were escorted off the stage unharmed and exited the auditorium by a back door.
Having wreaked havoc onstage, the students unrolled a banner that read, in both Arabic and English, "No one is ever illegal." As security guards closed the curtains and began escorting people from the auditorium, the students jumped from the stage, pumping their fists, chanting victoriously, "Si se pudo, si se pudo," Spanish for "Yes we could!"
The epitome of Columbia's intellectual nadir came from Ryan Fukumori, a junior at the university who told Johnson that Gilchrist and others who spoke at the event "had no right to be able to speak here." Apparently Columbia doesn't teach students about the Constitution, especially the First Amendment, any more. The College Republicans have a right to invite anyone they want to speak at their events, and the speakers have the right to speak without being physically attacked. Bear in mind that this university houses the most prestigious school of journalism in the nation, which should indicate a particular interest in supporting free speech.
Free speech? The Left loves it, so long as it only applies to them. But free speech for everyone? Not a chance. The Left can't stand that thought. Scratch a Dimocrat, find a dictator.
News that the Dems don't want you to know
Our economy is on a tear. Flat out. Plain and simple. The Dow hits record highs two days straight, oil prices are coming down so low that OPEC is thinking about cutting production, unemployment is down, inflation is down, and tax revenues are up.
Amazing how this wasn't trumpeted like it was ten years ago, eh? I wonder what could have changed. Hmmmmmmm..... Could it be that the filthy Dimocrat whores in the media don't want to credit a Republican president with having done the right thing? Nah, couldn't be. Could it be that the socialists refuse to admit that lower taxes boosts the economy and thus increases tax revenue? Nah, couldn't be.
Gosh, I wonder what it could be?

So Bob Woodward wrote another book
Yay. To be blunt, I didn't give a damn about his first two, and I didn't read them. Why in the name of all that is holy would I want to read a book written by a Beltway insider who's lived his entire life as a political news figure on other Beltway insiders? It's one whore writing a book about another whore. "But Dave, Bob says that Bush did x, y, and z!" So what? Bob can say whatever he likes, and he's still just a whore writing about other whores.
And gosh, what are the chances of a political hit job written by a DC hack coming out just before an election? Huh. Go figure.
Piss on them all. At this point I would bulldoze DC flat and start over if I could. Other than the military folks, can you name one person in DC who's worth more than a bucket of warm spit?

Oh, and by the way
Denny Hastert needs to get fired.
I thought he should have been fired when he tried to protest the search and seizure of that Louisiana congressmen's office. He's an egotistical blowhard that thinks he's more equal than everyone else because he's a congresscritter. Hastert and people like him are part of the reason congress cannot be trusted to do anything more than wipe their own nose.
Fire his fat ass.
UPDATE: We all know the Dimocrats are having a field day with this. Of course, the fact that Foley is out of Congress hampers their efforts with it, but they're still going to try. So while we all admit that Foley should be strung up by his shriveled nutsack and beaten to death, if a Dimocrat should try to make a big deal of this in front of you, please remind them that the Republicans kick the paedophiles out of Congress. The Dimocrats protect their paedophiles and keep them in Congress, as proven by Gerry Studds and Barney Frank. So ask them which party they support. The party of punishing paedophiles, or the party of proudly having paedophiles represent them in congress?
The conservatives deal with their bad apples. We dealt with Trent Lott. We'll deal with Foley. It's part of being an adult and fixing problems. The Dimocrats refuse to deal with any problems they have. They deny the problem, blame someone else, and then pray that the whole mess just blows over so that they don't have to change anything, which is why the Dimocrats have a Grand Kleagle of the KKK and a drunken murdering lush as congresscritters.
House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R.-Ill.) is coming under fire from conservatives for his failing to take action against disgraced Rep. Mark Foley (R.-Fla.), who resigned last week for inappropriate communications with teenage pages.
“Speaker Hastert had knowledge of Congressman Foley’s inappropriate behavior and chose to protect a potential pedophile and powerful colleague over a congressional page,” said David Bossie, president of conservative advocacy group Citizens United.

You would think
That the race cards that the Left plays on every single damn day would be getting worn out by now. But nope, they still keep whipping them out at every chance.
"Immigrant rights". That should clue you in right away that we're dealing with people who promote illegal aliens. And why should any business hire people who's names don't match their social security numbers? If my name and SSN didn't match, I wouldn't get hired! But I guess this group of illegal alien pushers wants illegal aliens to get treated better than US citizens!
As Michelle puts it:
You know what's even worse? That the kool-aid guzzling sheeple in the Dimocrat Party swallow this kind of bullshit without thinking. "Oh, yep! Racist!"
Sheeple. Baa baa Deaniac, you're so full of bull.
A local group fighting for immigrant rights is calling for a boycott of two nationally known companies. Dunkin Donuts and Applebee's are accused of discriminating against immigrant workers whose names don't match their social security numbers.

For those who don't know, that stands for Red Curtain Of Blood, the red haze you get over your vision when you're so angry that you're about to explode.
And it's what I got after reading this.

No business being around schools? I guess that's because we're all a bunch of baby murdering psychos that can't be trusted around children! We want to kill them all, or recruit them into the Hitlerburton War Machine®!
But don't listen to the actual pricipal of the school, listen to a group of anti-military asshats with an axe to grind!
This is nothing more than a hit job on the Maine National Guard by a group of idiots who claim to be veterans. At this point, I'm not willing to give them the benifit of the doubt as to their military service. Unless they have DD 214's in hand, they can kiss my ass. Anyone remember Micah Wright? Jimmy Massey? Jesse McBeth? Yep. "Veterans" for peace my eye.
Grrrrrr......
And it's what I got after reading this.
The Maine National Guard is facing criticism from an anti-war group about a program that sends uniformed military officers into seventh-grade classrooms around Maine.
The group, Maine Veterans for Peace, says the six-week program, which discourages children at 37 schools from using drugs and often culminates in a trip to an outdoor training base, also serves as a military recruiting device.
"I think it is strictly a recruiting tool," said Jack Bussell, a member of the anti-war group's board. "Military personnel have no business being in middle schools."

Though some parents have voiced complaints, officials at a few schools contacted for this article said the Guard program has been positive and free of controversy.
"There's never been any concern whatsoever," said Sharon Burnell, principal of Molly Ockett Middle School in Fryeburg. "There's no recruiting going on. There's no mention of that."

Today's question:
Via Sondra K.
My take? Just because you're born in America doesn't make you a real American. OK, you're an American citizen, but you're not really an AMERICAN. As the Dimocrats prove on a daily basis.
ON FURTHER REVIEW: There's a saying that I've heard bandied about quite a bit a few years ago: "The cowardly never left, and the weak died on the way." It's an explanation for why America succeeded when Europe stagnated, or why we had over a century of exploration from the East coast to the West. It's why we were the first to send a man into space, or why we are the only country to have a man walk on the moon. The cowardly never left, and the weak died on the way. Our forefathers were men and women of courage, and that tradition, or tendency, or mindset or whatever you want to call it was passed down to present generations.
However, just as genetics are passed down, with blue eyes popping up every now and then in a brown eyed family, cowardice seems to have cropped up in many Americans. And unlike previous years, where the cowards were weeded out by nature, we are now at a point in history that we prevent the stupid, weak and cowardly from dying by their own actions. You think I'm kidding? I got two words for ya. Helmet Laws. If someone wants to get on a motorcycle and fly down the interstate wearing nothing but a thong and a pair of sunglasses, that should be their perogative. If they wreck and die, well, that's what you get for being stupid. Seatbelt laws. You want to launch yourself out of your vehicle if you wreck? Your perogative. But no, we can't have that in a modern society, so we protect people from themselves. That should be the last thing we do, because it leads to the hoards of stupid idiots and morons that make up the Dimocrat party. The same people who think that communism just hasn't been done properly. The same brain-dead fucktards who think that cowering and pretending that terrorism doesn't exist will somehow protect them from Islamofacists bent on America's destruction.
So yes, the "American view" quoted above my exist, but there are plenty of so-called Americans who are nothing more than transplanted frenchmen with American citizenship. Bill Whittle once said that being American is a state of mind, not some genealogical make-up, and I agree with him. The problem is that too many non-Americans hold American citizenship. Maybe that could be one of the strongest reasons we should explore and colonize space. So that the cowardly never leave, and the weak die along the way.
I bet there won't be too many Dimocrats in space when we first go.
Why the Sam Hill does American courage, blood, sweat, tears, and treasure have to be called on every friggin' twenty minutes to pull some blood-soaked pride of predatory madmen off the jugulars of some pitiable flock of defenseless peasants, when all that is required for them to save themselves is to jamb a few pointed sticks into the throats of a few tyrants? Why don't they, themselves, take the losses needed to do that? And why do they object when we have to cut the wolf open to save 'em?
Twenty madmen will eagerly kill three thousand innocents; but, throughout most of the world, three thousand innocents will generally fail to resist twenty madmen. Yeah, I understand the effect of fear and mass on cowardice and courage, and I understand how one's immediate society affects the state of fear and perception of mass. What I don't understand is why the "American" view (for over-simplicity's sake) is so much different than for most of the world. I'm beginning to think that's really why they hate us, and why so many of our despicable countrymen agree with them.
My take? Just because you're born in America doesn't make you a real American. OK, you're an American citizen, but you're not really an AMERICAN. As the Dimocrats prove on a daily basis.

I'm loving this
97 Reasons Democrats Are Weak On Defense And Can't Be Trusted To Govern In Wartime.
Hey, if the shoe fits.......
Hey, if the shoe fits.......
I don't know what's worse
The fact that there's yet another al Qeada asshat flapping his lips, or the fact that his speech and the Dimocrat talking points are identical.
When you sound like a terrorist, it's time to rethink your political stances. But thinking isn't exactly a Dimocrat strong point, is it?

Another Loser Goes Down
Here's an observation, backed up by absolute hoards of evidence: When some pansy-assed wimp from an Anti(american)-War group starts making claims like "I was in the Special Forces, dude!" you can be 99.999999999% sure that he's a liar.
They never learn. It's due to the Liberal mindset, where they can do no wrong and truth is just something to be sacrificed to the "greater good". They should be happy that I'm not around the little DD-214-altering asscannons, because I'd do a little "altering" of my own on his pathetic little body.
They attempt to use the military, or their supposed activities in the military, in order to make the military look bad. Altering your DD 214 is a felony. I want this bastard to rot in jail.

I honestly think that when we adopted this liberal "They're gonna do it anyways, let's make sure their safe" attitude with regards to sex, we opened up a Pandora's box that we can't close. And anyone who wants to call me some name because I think that teenagers shouldn't have sex hasn't seen a 14 year old girl who's pregnate. "Oh, it's natural, they're gonna do it anyway, teaching about sex won't lead to kids having sex, it's only a banana, don't be so uptight, they need to know how to protect themselves" and every other Leftist platitude has only let to one thing: Kids having sex. Young kids having sex. All of you with kids out there, riddle me this: Would you like your fourteen year old son or daughter to be a parent?
I wouldn't. So why are we teaching them how to become parents?
Strange to think that, back in the Dark Ages, when youngsters got firearms training in school or marksmanship at the YMCA or the Scouts, it was unheard of for someone to take a gun to school with deadly intent. (I saw one or two in my day, but they were all treated in a sort of underground show-and-tell.) Squirt guns were confiscated for a duration to be determined by the adult doing the confiscation and that was about it.
And, at the same time, when we-all learned about sex "on the streets," teen pregnancies, while not unheard of, were exceedingly rare. In the late '60s, I suspect that STDs were a greater concern among adolescents than pregnancy -- in terms of people getting one or the other; everybody tried to avoid both, using several strategies and with varying degrees of success.
I honestly think that when we adopted this liberal "They're gonna do it anyways, let's make sure their safe" attitude with regards to sex, we opened up a Pandora's box that we can't close. What a man should be able to do:
According to Robert Heinlein -
COL Jeff Cooper -
And last but not least, Kim du Toit (from whom I obtained the Jeff Cooper quote) -
I think that between the three of them, we might be able to get a good list going.
“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”
COL Jeff Cooper -
“What should a young male of 21 know, and what should he be able to do? There are no conclusive answers to those questions, but they are certainly worth asking. A young man should know how this country is run and how it got that way. He should know the Federalist Papers and de Tocqueville, and he should know recent world history. If he does not know what has been tried in the past, he cannot very well avoid those pitfalls as they come up in the future. A young man should be computer literate and, moreover, should know Hemingway from James Joyce. He should know how to drive a car well--such as is not covered in Driver’s Ed. He should know how to fly a light airplane. He should know how to shoot well. He should know elementary geography, both worldwide and local. He should have a cursory knowledge of both zoology and botany. He should know the fundamentals of agriculture and corporate economy. He should be well qualified in armed combat, boxing, wrestling and judo, or its equivalent. He should know how to manage a motorcycle. He should be comfortable in at least one foreign language, more if appropriate to his background. He should be familiar with remedial medicine. These things should be accomplished before a son leaves his father’s household.”
And last but not least, Kim du Toit (from whom I obtained the Jeff Cooper quote) -
* Drive a car well, ie. a stick shift;
* Know how to handle any gun, and be comfortable with its operation;
* Understand basic macro- and microeconomics;
* Know the difference between a popular democracy and a representative republic;
* Be able to cook a basic meal (meat, rice/potatoes, vegetables) from scratch;
* Speak at least one foreign language
* Understand how to read a map, and be comfortable with basic orienteering;
* Have two years’ experience in a trade (any trade, eg. carpenter, electrician, welder, auto mechanic, plumber);
* Play a musical instrument, and have a basic understanding of music;
* Understand basic self-defense/unarmed combat techniques;
* Have excellent manners, and know all aspects of social etiquette;
* Travel to a foreign country (Mexico and Canada don’t count, in the U.S. circumstance);
* Be extremely knowledgeable about history (for the reasons given by Coop);
* Have read at least twenty books in the Western Canon;
* Be able to use a computer, especially spreadsheet, word processing and basic database programs;
* Be able to write a cogent, grammatically-correct essay of no less than 1,000 words in length
* Been a member of a social group or club (4H, Boy Scouts, Young Republicans, whatever) for at least two years
I think that between the three of them, we might be able to get a good list going.
Dems to Bush: How dare you fight back!
I say it's about damned time!
These are things that should have been said years ago, not 40 days from an election. The Dimocrats have been taking potshot after potshot at the President, the Republicans, and anyone who supported the war. They have leaked classified information in an attempt to hurt this administraion. In short, they've been traitorous little fuckers who only care about getting their claws on the power provided by being the majority party in Congress. I'll say it right now - there are probably good, honest Dimocrats who care about this country. But the leadership of that party doesn't give to shits about America. They only care about power, plain and simple. And if that means that America goes down in flames, they don't give a damn. Hell, most of them don't like this country to begin with.
Maybe the Republicans are wising up and actually fighting back against the Dimocrat smear machine. We can hope so. And we can also hope that it's not too late to prevent a Dimocrat takeover.
"Five years after 9/11, the worst attack on the American homeland in history, the Democrats offer nothing but criticism and obstruction and endless second-guessing. The party of FDR, the party of Harry Truman has become the party of cut and run," Bush said.
With less than six weeks to go until a November election that polls suggest could result in lost seats for Republicans in both the U.S. House and Senate, Bush chided Democrats, saying they don't understand the enemy nor do they grasp that succeeding in the War on Terror means not retreating from Iraq.

"Our party record is clear. We see the stakes, we understand the nature of the enemy. We know the enemy wants to attack us again. We will not wait to respond to the enemy. We are not going to wait for them to attack us in order to respond," Bush said.
Maybe the Republicans are wising up and actually fighting back against the Dimocrat smear machine. We can hope so. And we can also hope that it's not too late to prevent a Dimocrat takeover.
So tell me,
When your political ideology is lacking in facts, logic, and valid arguments, what's a person to do?
Well, if you're a Leftist, you could actually wake up, smell the coffee, and rethink some of your political theories.
HA! I slay me! We all know that Leftism is a mental disorder characterized by the complete and total inability to think for ones self, so instead of introspective thinking, they just make shit up. Bravo, jackasses. I guess the lessons learned from the fauxtogrophy scandal didn't sink in with these idiots. Not surprising, because in order to learn from someone else's mistakes, you first must admit that you have something to learn. And since Liberals think that they're perfect in every regard, they refuse to learn from anything. That's why they still advocate for socialism, communism, and various other failed political theories.
Yeah, that might be a little harsh. But I'll wait until someone can prove me wrong before I soften up.

How NOT to fight terrorism
Well, let's look at the past, shall we?
Look, it wasn't just Clinton's failure. It was the failure of every president since Richard Nixon, as far as I can see. But there's one big difference between Clinton and everybody else: Clinton is the only one to go on TV wagging his finger and trying to avoid the blame. The sheer narcissism of that man makes me want to puke. And then his shrill harpy of a wife goes on TV and tries to blame the Bush administration for September 11th? I don't theeeenk so, Lucy!
Again, there are those who think all this finger pointing helps no one. That's their opinion. But the actions of the Clintons and their syncophants are a reveiling look into the Dimocrat mindset, where they can do no wrong, even if it costs 3000 lives. So every time they lay their pee-pee out on a block like Bubbah did last Sunday, it is our obligation to take a sledgehammer and hit it. Personally, while I think that the government has been rather limp-wristed when it comes to truly fighting terrorism, I'll take the Bush approach over the Clinton approach any day of the week. So let's keep the spotlight on how badly the Dimocrats screwed up, and how much they continue to screw up with regards to fighting terrorism. Who is it that wants constitutional rights for terrorists in Gitmo? The Dimocrats. Who wants to stop killing jihadists in Iraq and Afghanistan? The Dimocrats. Who wants to stick their heads back in the sand and ignore that terrorism even exists? The Dimocrats.
Let's focus that spotlight a little bit more. Every time one of the Clintons opens their mouth, we should be there to shove their feet inside it.
• In 1994, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (who would later plan the 9/11 attacks) launched "Operation Bojinka" to down 11 U.S. planes simultaneously over the Pacific. A sharp-eyed Filipina police officer foiled the plot. The sole American response: increased law-enforcement cooperation with the Philippines.
• In 1995, al Qaeda detonated a 220-pound car bomb outside the Office of Program Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, killing five Americans and wounding 60 more. The FBI was sent in.
• In 1996, al Qaeda bombed the barracks of American pilots patrolling the "no-fly zones" over Iraq, killing 19. Again, the FBI responded.
• In 1997, al Qaeda consolidated its position in Afghanistan and bin Laden repeatedly declared war on the U.S. In February, bin Laden told an Arab TV network: "If someone can kill an American soldier, it is better than wasting time on other matters." No response from the Clinton administration.
• In 1998, al Qaeda simultaneously bombed U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, killing 224, including 12 U.S. diplomats. Mr. Clinton ordered cruise-missile strikes on Afghanistan and Sudan in response. Here Mr. Clinton's critics are wrong: The president was right to retaliate when America was attacked, irrespective of the Monica Lewinsky case.
Still, "Operation Infinite Reach" was weakened by Clintonian compromise. The State Department feared that Pakistan might spot the American missiles in its air space and misinterpret it as an Indian attack. So Mr. Clinton told Gen. Joe Ralston, vice chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, to notify Pakistan's army minutes before the Tomahawks passed over Pakistan. Given Pakistan's links to jihadis at the time, it is not surprising that bin Laden was tipped off, fleeing some 45 minutes before the missiles arrived.
• In 1999, the Clinton administration disrupted al Qaeda's Millennium plots, a series of bombings stretching from Amman to Los Angeles. This shining success was mostly the work of Richard Clarke, a NSC senior director who forced agencies to work together. But the Millennium approach was shortlived. Over Mr. Clarke's objections, policy reverted to the status quo.
• In January 2000, al Qaeda tried and failed to attack the U.S.S. The Sullivans off Yemen. (Their boat sank before they could reach their target.) But in October 2000, an al Qaeda bomb ripped a hole in the hull of the U.S.S. Cole, killing 17 sailors and wounding another 39.
When Mr. Clarke presented a plan to launch a massive cruise missile strike on al Qaeda and Taliban facilities in Afghanistan, the Clinton cabinet voted against it. After the meeting, a State Department counterterrorism official, Michael Sheehan, sought out Mr. Clarke. Both told me that they were stunned. Mr. Sheehan asked Mr. Clarke: "What's it going to take to get them to hit al Qaeda in Afghanistan? Does al Qaeda have to attack the Pentagon?"
Look, it wasn't just Clinton's failure. It was the failure of every president since Richard Nixon, as far as I can see. But there's one big difference between Clinton and everybody else: Clinton is the only one to go on TV wagging his finger and trying to avoid the blame. I don't really think it means anything....
But I'm going to laugh at them just the same.
Hell, any sane adult could have told ya that, doc!
"While some of my colleagues think my research reinforces the stereotype of repressed, uptight conservatives, it also shows that many liberals may he hanging on the edge of mental well-being," Mr. Bulkeley said. "There may be a lot of hidden distress and unpleasantness in the liberal mind."
Hell, any sane adult could have told ya that, doc!
Can Cindy Sheehan find Iraq on a map?
Uh..... Nope. *snort* Which isn't surprising, considering her lack of intelligence on every other matter.

Crap!
Shitcrapfuck!
COL Jeff Cooper has passed from this life to the next.
Another good one gone. But at least he can say that he made an impact on other people's lives. I doubt even he knew the extent of that impact. May he rest in peace. He's earned it.
COL Jeff Cooper has passed from this life to the next.
Another good one gone. But at least he can say that he made an impact on other people's lives. I doubt even he knew the extent of that impact. May he rest in peace. He's earned it.
OK, so here's my opinion
On this:
Look, let's be blunt, shall we? How many times have you seen the TSA goons strip-searching 80 year old Mrs. Weisenheimer from Wisconsin just because she's the "random search" number, while barely giving Amahd Muhammad Khalid from Pisspotastan a once-over because he's NOT next for a "random search"? Why the hell is 80 year old Mrs. Weisenheimer even getting searched? Do people really think that grandmothers from the Midwest are a terrorist threat?
When my wife and I were returning from Lackland AFB after her surgery, they pulled her aside and gave her a complete security screening, even though she could barely stand up. Her wheelchair couldn't go through the metal detectors, you see. So they had to personally check her. And they wouldn't let me assist her when she was forced to stand up out of her wheelchair. Why? I'm a soldier in the US Army, and she's a soldier's wife. Do they really think that we're planning on blowing up a plane? Of course not. But there she was, getting the third degree because she couldn't lift her feet for them to inspect her boots.
All of this is simple evidence that our so-called airport security is a farce, a politically correct sinkhole that might as well tie one hand behind our backs. So people don't want to fly? I don't blame them! Can someone can explain to me why my father, a 22 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, honorably retired, has to undergo the same screening as a visitor from the Middle East? We know who the terrorists are. They are not families from Norway. They are not Irish tourists visiting the O'Malley's in Boston. They are not Japanese or Korean college students. Who are they? Simple.
Islamic men, aged 18-40, who have been to the Middle East.
September 11th, London, Madrid, Beslan and the USS Cole were not attacked by Australian rugby players pissed off at their last defeat, they were attacked by Islamic men, aged 18-40, who have been to the Middle East.
The Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia were not bombed by Left-handed Lesbian Midget Albino Eskimos, they were bombed by Islamic men, aged 18-40, who have been to the Middle East.
But the TSA refuses to give Islamic men, aged 18-40, who have been to the Middle East, any kind of real scrutiny because that might be (eeek!) profiling! And in the Leftist handbook, profiling is bad! So in short, what the TSA is telling the rest of America is this: "We know who the terrorists are, but we're not going to do anything about it because we don't want to offend the PC sensibilities of dickless retards who might sue us, so you're all going to have to undergo a body-cavity search before you board the plane."
Gee, I can't understand why that might keep people from flying!
Imagine if the doctor told you, "Look, I'm sure that you've got an bacterial infection in your leg, but I can't just give you antibiotics because that would be "profiling" against bacteria. And profiling is bad, because the Dimocrats say so. So I'm just going to cut off your leg." You'd fire that bastard in two seconds, wouldn't you?
Well, that's what Americans are doing with their dollars. Firing the airlines. My mother can't take mouthwash or hand lotion on a plane because Islamic men, aged 18-40 who had been to the Middle East, came up with a plot to blow up planes that involved liquid explosives. My mother is Catholic, in her 50's, quite obviously female, and would rather slit her own throat that blow up a plane. But because the TSA refuses to make the distinction between 50ish Italian mothers and Islamic males, aged 18-40 who have been to the Middle, she now can't even bring her hand lotion on the plane.
Gosh, I can't understand why people don't want to fly!
Remember the British passengers who refused to fly on a plane with to Middle Eastern men who were "acting strangely"? That's because the people know who the terrorists are, even if the government refuses to acknowlege it. And yet those passengers were scolded for thinking that two Middle Eastern men might be terrorists. "How DARE you think that way! That's not tolerant!"
Gee, why don't people want to fly?
Fewer people are flying. The airlines don't like to discuss this, but customer satisfaction, and travel, surveys show that people, especially business flyers (the most lucrative kind of passengers) are flying less. The reason is the increased, and seemingly irrational, screening methods. These antics also have a negative effect on the security personnel. There are now 2,100 air marshals (versus 33 on September 11, 2001), and half of them are unavailable (all or part of the time) because of health issues caused by too much time in the air. The air marshals work a heavy schedule, averaging twenty flights a week. Not that it's doing much good. Until this Summer, air marshals had to fly wearing suits, despite the fact that most passengers go casual. Thus the air marshals stick out, giving any potential bad guys an easy way to identify, and take down, the law.
While the air marshals can now blend in, most flight personnel realize that it is more likely that a mob of enraged passengers is the best defense against any hijackers. Air marshals only fly a small (classified) number of flight, there are many passengers on each flight who are willing to risk all to take down hijackers. The airlines don't like to encourage that sort of thing, but there is it. And the terrorists know it as well, which is why they stay away from air transportation.
Tell me again who is closed-minded?

I entered the booth and soon discovered I could not push down the lever for my candidate. When I asked for assistance, the poll worker checked the lever and said with a shocked tone: “You’re a Republican?"
The shock spread to all the women at the table, who apologized profusely for their supposition. Unfortunately, they said, I would have to fill out a paper ballot or wait for a Democrat to come in and use the booth, as it was already primed for Democrat voters. I wasn’t in a rush and so elected to wait, but voting was very, very light. Eventually, a black woman in a wheelchair entered the area and the poll workers breathed a sigh of relief. The woman signed her name, the poll worker filled out a green card, and — oh, no. The woman was a Republican, too.

Oh, for Pete's sake!
You know it's getting close to an election, because the usual suspects in the Lame-Stream Media are pulling out all the stops to get Democrats elected. They do hit pieces with leaked info. They breathlessly reprint advocacy pieces disguised as "news" for their helpers. And they will never, ever, EVER print anything that helps the Republicans in general, and President Bush in particular. Heard anything about Lyin' Joe Wilson and his not-so-undercover wife lately? Of course not, at least not in the papers. That story has dropped off the face of the earth, but when the worthless Dimocrat-fellating whores in the Lame-Stream Media could bash the President with it it was front page, above the crease news every damn day.
Right now, I wouldn't wipe my ass with the New York Times. My feces deserves better than that.

Another good story
Sometimes, a boy and his rifle are easily parted, if it's for a good cause.
This was about fifty years ago, from the sound of it.
So far, so good. Boy gives up rifle for his beloved grandmother. Nice all around story, right?
And THAT, my friends, is a happy ending.
At age 8, Terry Jackson gave up his prized .22-caliber Winchester short-barrel rifle to get his grandmother a washer.
This was about fifty years ago, from the sound of it.
As a boy, Jackson felt bad that his grandmother was too poor to have a washer. So he took the rifle he had earned money for by mowing lawns and doing other chores to a pawn shop.
"That was the only thing I had that was worth anything," Jackson told The Lewiston Tribune.
The pawn shop owner agreed to trade a wringer washer for the rifle. When the washer was delivered to his grandmother, Edna Jackson, she refused it until realizing the sacrifice her grandson had made.
"She just couldn't believe it," Jackson said.
So far, so good. Boy gives up rifle for his beloved grandmother. Nice all around story, right?
The rifle, meanwhile, remained with the pawn shop owner, Bill Jackson. He never sold the rifle, instead giving it to family friend James Grow in the 1980s, recounting the story that accompanied the rifle.
"He told me the story but I never thought anything about it," Grow said. "I didn't even know who Terry Jackson was at the time, although Bill did tell me his name."
Grow said Bill Jackson told him the gun might be worth something someday. He never shot the rifle and kept it in his closet.
Grow become an attorney in Lewiston, and Terry Jackson recently hired Grow to do some legal work. The connection might not have been made about the rifle except for a conversation Becky Brotnov, Terry Jackson's companion, had with Grow during a business lunch.
She told the story of Terry Jackson giving up the rifle to get the washer.
"All of a sudden it dawned on me, I own the gun," Grow said.
After hearing the story, Grow said he knew he wouldn't keep the gun. So he recently drove to Terry Jackson's home to return the rifle.
And THAT, my friends, is a happy ending.
And now, for some good news
With all the bad news floating around out there lately, I figured it would be a good time to link to some news stories that aren't so negative.
First of all, another al Qaeda scumbag has been nailed, this time by the Brits.
Good on the Brits, who could show the rest of Europe what having an actual army is supposed to be like.
In other political news, Japan has elected a new Prime Minister who looks to continue the reforms set in motion by his predecessor.
I think that a strong Japan can only help us in the Orient with China and North Korea playing their games. Hopefully Mr. Abe can continue raising Japan up in prominence.
So, that's some good news to start out the day.
First of all, another al Qaeda scumbag has been nailed, this time by the Brits.
British forces said they killed a top terrorist leader Monday, identified by Iraqi officials as an Al Qaeda leader who had escaped from a U.S. prison in Afghanistan and returned to Iraq.
Omar al-Farouq was killed in a pre-dawn raid by 250 British troops from the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment on his home in Basra, 340 miles southeast of Baghdad, British forces spokesman Maj. Charlie Burbridge said.
Al-Farouq was killed after he opened fire on British soldiers entering his home, Burbridge said.
Good on the Brits, who could show the rest of Europe what having an actual army is supposed to be like.
In other political news, Japan has elected a new Prime Minister who looks to continue the reforms set in motion by his predecessor.
Nationalist Shinzo Abe, a proponent of a robust alliance with the United States and a more assertive military, easily won election in parliament as Japan's youngest postwar prime minister Tuesday.
(.....)
Abe, at 52 Japan's first prime minister born after World War II, has championed the security pact with top ally the United States, revision of the pacifist constitution, a more outspoken foreign policy, and more patriotic education.
I think that a strong Japan can only help us in the Orient with China and North Korea playing their games. Hopefully Mr. Abe can continue raising Japan up in prominence.
So, that's some good news to start out the day.

Random Thoughts on a Monday Night
The Raging Mrs. is involved in a craft project in the back room, and since I enjoy sports more than she does, and I have Monday Night Football on the tube, she's got her MP3 player plugged in and on close to full blast.
Which wouldn't be newsworthy, except for the fact that she's singing along to the songs. Which again, wouldn't be worth a post, only instead of the Loreena McKennitt she was listening to earlier, she's now moved on to Pink Floyd. Which means that instead of hearing "Mummer's Dance" coming from the back room, I was blessed with the sound of her screaming "YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT!!!!!!"
So I cooked a steak and chowed down. Hey, who's gonna argue with a woman like that?
Anyways, while watching the pregame crap for MNF - Green Day came on. Now, I was a big Green Day fan from way back. But their first album came out over a decade ago (I think I'm dating myself here) and then they got progressivly..... well..... softer. And then they got all political. They went from sticking up a big middle finger to the world, to begging the world to stop being so mean to them. So I stopped paying attention to them.
Now, looking at them on the TV, I can understand why I stopped buying their music. Since when did Armstrong go from being a punk-rocker guy to some wierd sort of modernistic woman?
By the way, would someone tell the network knuckleheads that Reggie Bush is only one man, not the second coming of Touchdown Jesus? Ron Jaworski was talking about how many different formations Bush has been involved in this year, and I swear I saw Micheal Irvin whip out his schmeckel and start rubbing one out right on network TV. Look, it's one guy, and I don't care how damn talented you are, you need more than one guy to win football games. Doubt me? Go as Brett Favre how many playoff games he's been in once Green Bay started leaking players. John Elway got to a few Superbowls, but he didn't win jack squat until Terrel Davis showed up and started busting out 1000+ yard seasons. Then it's two rings and a retirement, thankyouverymuch.
Yeah, Bush is good. But he's only one guy. When the rest of the team plays up to his level, I'll start buying the hype. And if he gets injured at all this season, you can expect the Saints to fold like a house of cheap cards. When you build your base on one man, and that man goes down, then you go down with him.
Now if you excuse me, the wife has moved on to Nine Inch Nails, and I know what song is coming up next.
Yeah. That one. It's a good night to be me.

Want a civics lesson?
You might as well read it, because we all know that the people who actually NEED to read it won't.
This sorta-kinda segues into the next topic that's on my mind, which is Slick Willy Cinton's temper-tantrum on national TV. I don't know what was funnier, his accusing Chris Wallace of attempting a "right-wing hit job" on him, or his insistence that he tried to get bin Laden, despite every scrap of evidence we have that says exactly the opposite. "I did everything I could to get bin Laden! I did not have sex with that woman!" You could put both video clips side by side and run them together to get a stereo effect there. And in both cases, Clinton is flat out lying. Not that we've come to expect anything different out of him.
There are a few bloggers out there who make the point that after five years of debate on this subject by damn near everybody, the only thing we can be certain of is that it won't make a scrap of difference in what happened. Which is true. In terms of stopping terrorist attacks, assigning blame to what happened on September 11th won't do much good. However, there's much more here than just finger pointing, because Clinton's behavior and lack of honesty is not just some historical footnote; it is the current modus operandi of the Dimocrat party.
Look, Clinton isn't the worst president we've ever had, OK? But he sure wasn't the best, and when it comes to fighting terrorism he was an abject failure. Now, if the Dimocrats could be honest about that fact, then we could change the tactics and behaviors that allowed September 11th to happen. But when you have an entire political party howling "IT WAS NOT CLINTON'S FAULT! IT WAS BUSH'S FAULT!" then you can't do a damn thing. Clinton and his syncophants are on a barnstorming tour in an attempt to rewrite history and whitewash his fecklessness and malfeasance in fighting terrorism, as if his eight years of failure somehow disappear when compared to the eight months that President Bush had. And until the Dimocrats wake up and realize that Clinton was a miserable failure at fighting terrorism, we can't come together and fix the problems that allowed nineteen Islamonazi's to kill three thousand Americans. So Clinton's little finger-shaking and screeching fit is just one small part of a huge problem that is in effect paralyzing the government when it comes to fighting terrorism. It feeds the mental derangement that we see on the Left today. And so in that context, yes, it is a big deal. So long as Bubbah is going around denying any responsibility, he will have the rest of the Dimocrats behind him nodding their heads and saying "Yep! Yep! It was all Bushitler's fault! Yep!".
The Dimocrats are a party desperately in need of an enema. Starting with their denier in chief. But they'll never do it. And that, my friends, is a problem for anyone who wants to see a sane political party to keep the Republicans honest.
OK, so the BabyTrollBlog post didn't segue into my topic at all. Whaddyagonnado? Stop paying me?
The attacks of September 11, 2001 elicited certain responses from those Congressmen -- and Senators. They voted, not once but twice, to authorize the President to use force in resisting the forces of Islamofascism, then further to fund the effort.
The objections raised by Democrat partisan hacks -- including some who hold seats in Congress, as well as Federal judgeships -- amount to sedition at best and treason at its blackest. Though they might have raised their objections in the debate -- some certainly did -- they voted as they knew their consituents, the American people, willed it.
Now they want to go back on their word and they put forth the weakest, most specious, most false reasons -- reasons that anyone who has actually been paying attention can give the lie in the moment of their utterance.
The matter has been decided. Further argument amounts to sedition, sabotage -- to betrayal of the polity which put them in power.

I am officially impressed!
Anyone who wonders of military pilots earn their pay need to look at this:
Go check that photo out. Unreal. That pilot has balls of solid brass.
The above-displayed photograph of the precarious-looking rooftop landing by a CH-47 Chinook helicopter (which began circulating via e-mail in December 2003 and started making the rounds of the Internet again in August 2006) was taken during that operation by U.S. Army Sgt. Greg Heath of the 4th Public Affairs Detachment.
Although the text that accompanied copies of this image sent via e-mail in 2006 suggested the activity shown therein was part of an effort to evacuate wounded coalition soldiers, the photo actually captures the Chinook helicopter touching down to receive Afghan Persons Under Control (APUC) captured by members of the U.S. 10th Mountain Division.

All About typhoid
Better than a bullet, I dare say:
Next stop? Hell.
Disease Listing, Typhoid Fever, General Information | CDC Bacterial, Mycotic Diseases
Persons with typhoid fever carry the bacteria in their bloodstream and intestinal tract...Both ill persons and carriers shed S. Typhi in their feces (stool). And:

.
You can get typhoid fever if you eat food or drink beverages that have been handled by a person who is shedding S. Typhi or if sewage contaminated with S. Typhi bacteria gets into the water you use for drinking or washing food. Therefore, typhoid fever is more common in areas of the world where handwashing is less frequent and water is likely to be contaminated with sewage.
Persons with typhoid fever usually have a sustained fever as high as 103° to 104° F (39° to 40° C). They may also feel weak, or have stomach pains, headache, or loss of appetite. In some cases, patients have a rash of flat, rose-colored spots. The world's premier Jihadist, stricken by an encounter with someone else's crap and martyred by a dearth of Ciproflaxin?
Next stop? Hell.

It's unsubstantiated, but....
It brings me hope.
Now, until we see his body, I won't entirely believe any story about bin Laden's demise. However, I still want a chance to piss on his grave, so I'm keeping my eye on this story. I'll be following it. And if it's true, I hope he died in the most painful way possible.
PARIS (AP) - The head of terrorist network al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, has died, according to information from the Saudi police, transmitted by the Directorate-General of External Services (DGSE), and reported on the Lorraine daily newspaper L'Est republicain in its Saturday edition.
"According to a commonly reliable source, the Saudi police believes that Osama Bin Laden has died," said a September 21st confidential note from the DGSE classified as "defense." L'Est republicain will publish it in its Saturday edition. The note, specified the daily newspaper, would be re-printed "un-edited."

Only in America
Can a communist clusterfuck dictator and an insane Islamonazi dickhead come together and get a round of applause from other petty kleptocrats, theocrats, thugs and other scum, all paid for by YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
Ain't the UN great? Where else can people get together and work to oppose the USA in every action in a building supplied by the USA? On American soil?
Again, I reiterate my previous statements. Ensure that key UN personnel are in the UN Building. Then bar the damn doors and demolish that fucking cesspool. There's enough filth in America as it is. We don't need foriegn filth as well.

Ah hell, who fricking CARES?!?!?!
So George Allen's mother was "Jewish", even though she was raised as a Christian. Call me crazy, but if she was raised as a Christian then she's a rather piss-poor Jew, ya know? But WHO THE HELL CARES?!?!?!
I guess the Dimocrats do. You know, for a group of people who claim that they're all about acceptance and diversity, I've never seen a group more stuck on identity politics to the point of digging into a persons background just to find out if they have any Jewish blood. What's next? Black uniforms and jackboots? Making Allen wear a yellow star? "You must admit zat you haf de blood of de judenrein, ja?"
For those keeping score, the Republicans don't give a shit what your background is. We've got everyone from Bobby Jindal (Indian), to Micheal Steele (Black), to Larry Craig (White) and everyone in between. The common factor is how they think, not how they look.
That doesn't fly with the Dimocrats. To them it's how you look, so long as you stay on the plantation and follow the party line. God, they disgust me. I think we need to hang this facination with bloodlines around their necks for the next two months.

Remember this guy?
He was the guy who said his dead mom called him for three days from a nursing home that had been underwater for, well, three days.
"When ya comin' to get me son?!?"
The owners of the nursing home where she drowned have finally been indicted.

Day off? What day off?
I was supposed to have a day off today. I mean, after getting pneumonia, and then busting ass for Annual Training, then drill over the weekend, my training NCO decided that I needed a day to myself.
The best laid plans of mice and men.......
Last week, a retired colonel died. Natural causes, from what I was told. Not expected, but not completely unexpected either. Anyways, due to the personnel that were on funeral detail duty (they switch out the duty between units every three months) the colonel's family was told that they would only have a two man detail for the funeral.
Now, I won't go in to what I think of the unit that currently is supposed to be doing the funeral details. I won't go in to how I think that unit needs to be disbanded as soon as possible. I won't go in to their parentage, or lack thereof, nor discuss what I think they do with barnyard animals.. But when a man has given decades of his life to the military, including going to war, not having a full funeral detail is an insult.
In any case, I received a phone call early this morning from my training NCO, who stated, "Dave, are your Greens ready? Because you need to be in them at 0930 at this location for funeral detail."
Now, I won't say that I was thrilled to do this on my day off, especially when I was woken up way to early in the morning. However, I was not about to let a soldier take his final journey without full honors. So, into my Greens I went. The put me on the firing squad today. The family did a double take when they saw us, since they only expected two troops. We managed to pull together a full funeral detail in less than a couple of hours, and we buried that colonel with full honors. It's the sort of thing that makes you proud to wear the uniform, and of the history and tradition behind it. And despite the joking that goes on between soldiers at a funeral (we do have a dark sense of humor at times) there is a solemnity that is inescapable.
If you have never been to a military funeral, then take my word for it: a twenty-one gun salute is the second most final sound you will ever hear in your life. A bugler playing Taps would be the first.
So I didn't get a day off. I think it was worth it.

Don't show this to any Dimocrats!
Otherwise, they'll just KNOW that it's torture and put a stop to it! And won't the Japanese be pissed!
Personally, I'd love to do this to the Dimocrats, with a simple question: Do you support the war in Iraq? A response of "no", and WHACK! But then, in order for that to be painful, we would have to find a Dimocrat with actual balls, and that's like finding Santa Claus. We all heard about 'im, but we ain't never seen the real thing. See also: Dimocrat with brains, Dimocrat with spine, and Dimocrat with morals.
They just don't exist, folks.

If you read anything today
Go read this.
And understand that Socialism is nothing more than Communism that hasn't fully matured yet.
And understand that Socialism is nothing more than Communism that hasn't fully matured yet.
Are you ready to vomit?
Then go read this.
Read that again. If one of these asscannons admits to planning the 9-11 attacks, we won't have it on tape because we're too fucking concerned ABOUT THESE SHITWEASEL'S FUCKING PRIVACY!
Another reason to kill all lawyers. What kind of cesspool dwelling subhuman shitbag would give up his time and money to defend a terrorist?
And they wonder why we question their patriotism?
Go read the article. Hell, print it out and carry it with you. That way, when some retarded fucking assmonkey tries to talk about how we "torture" the terrorists at Gitmo, you take the printout and shove it down their fucking throat until they choke to death on it. You want torture? I'll give you torture, you worthless shitstain.
Every congresscritter whining about "torture" in Gitmo needs to be fired. Republican, Democrat, it doesn't matter. FIRED! Kiss my ass, McCain. And kiss my ass, all you terrorist coddling Dimocrats. I hope every one of you has a personal run-in with a terrorist, who laughs while he saws your head off with a dull knife. Is that wrong? Too damn bad. The Dimocrats and the RINO's who agree with them are making this country less safe, thereby making my family less safe. And for that, I will work until my dying day to ensure they have nothing but failure and misery to deal with. Whining, sniveling, cringing, surrendermonkeys!
The above blood-boiling information was found at Baron du Toit's.
The politically correct regulations are unbelievable. Detainees are entitled to a full eight hours sleep and can't be woken up for interrogations. They enjoy three meals and five prayers per day, without interruption. They are entitled to a minimum of two hours of outdoor recreation per day.
Interrogations are limited to four hours, usually running two - and (of course) are interrupted for prayers. One interrogator actually bakes cookies for detainees, while another serves them Subway or McDonald's sandwiches. Both are available on base. (Filet o' Fish is an al Qaeda favorite.)
Interrogations are not video or audio taped, perhaps to preserve detainee privacy.
Read that again. If one of these asscannons admits to planning the 9-11 attacks, we won't have it on tape because we're too fucking concerned ABOUT THESE SHITWEASEL'S FUCKING PRIVACY!
And they can make weapons from almost anything. Guards have been attacked with springs taken from inside faucets, broken fluorescent light bulbs and fan blades. Some are more elaborate. "These folks are MacGyvers," Harris said.
Other cells pass messages from leaders in one camp to followers in others. How? Detainees use the envelopes sent to them by their attorneys to pass messages. (Some 1,000 lawyers represent 440 prisoners, all on a pro bono basis, with more than 18,500 letters in and out of Gitmo in the past year.) Guards are not allowed to look inside these envelopes because of "attorney-client privilege" - even if they know the document inside is an Arabic-language note written by a prisoner to another prisoner and not a letter to or from a lawyer.
That's right: Accidentally or not, American lawyers are helping al Qaeda prisoners continue to plot.
Another reason to kill all lawyers. What kind of cesspool dwelling subhuman shitbag would give up his time and money to defend a terrorist?
And they wonder why we question their patriotism?

Why I'm not read more
Let's just say that I'm a little blunt and outspoken on a few things. Or, to give you a better example, you could read my little rant on the Islamofacists down below, and then compare it to Captain Ed's letter to Pope Benedict.
He says it quite nicely, and without the screaming.
If Islam is ever to peacefully co-exist with other faiths in the manner that Christendom finally learned how to do, then it has to start abiding questions and criticisms without resorting to violence. Islam has to learn to persuade and to attract people through reason, not through forced conversions and coexistence through violent supremacy. Muslim leaders around the world still believe that our faith can only exist at their sufferance, and any question of their doctrinal beliefs has to be met with violence or demands for apologies, not with rhetoric, facts, and reason.
We cannot enable that to continue. We must demand that they renounce violence and intimidation. When you apologize and retreat, they understand that as a triumph for their religion, a victory won with force and threats rather than through intellectual engagement. This encourages more of the same. The West had the opportunity to stand up to the same angry hordes earlier this year during the controversy over the Danish editorial cartoons that depicted Mohammed, and many of us gave into the threats and violence rather than stand up for the freedom of speech, religious practice, and editorial commentary. In both cases, Muslims ironically proved the point of the criticism leveled at them.
Do not apologize for speaking the truth. Stand up to the threats and violence and make the world understand that no one of any faith or of no faith at all has to be cowed or intimidated into silence. Your predecessor, John Paul the Great, risked his life by providing a beacon of courage against the might and will of Communism, and he outlived it in the end. We won't outlive the violent nature of radical Islam, but we can provide the basis for Christianity's survival by standing against it now.
He says it quite nicely, and without the screaming.

Just so people know
If you don't like harsh words, then cover your ears and skip down a post or two, cause I'm in the mood for yellin'.
All you moose-limbs out there screaming for Pope Benedict to apologize to you and submit to dhimmitude? I got a message for ya:
Fuck you.
Fuck you and your worthless, murderous paedophile prophet. Fuck you and your moon-god worshiping leaders. Fuck you and your terrorist religion. Fuck you and your anti-civilization theology. Fuck you and your ass-backwards way of life. Fuck you. Get bent. Kiss my ass. Lick me where I shit. Better yet, go blow yourselves up, since that seems to be all you're good at doing. Go get your seventy-two raisins, or your seventy-two year old virgin, or whatever the hell your worthless Koran says you get for blowing yourself up.
As far as I'm concerned, we have tried this whole "live and let live" philosophy with the Middle East, and it hasn't really done us too much good. And now these goat-fucking barbarians want the leader of my church to submit to their fucked up cult of bloodshed?
Nope. The gloves come off, you fucking parasites. Can you name one good thing that Islam has brought into this world? I mean, even with all the historical faults that the Roman Catholic church has, and I'm adult enough to admit that we have them, I can at least point to several examples and say "The Catholic Church has brought good into this world". Islam cannot make any such claim.
So here is my response to you splody-dopes. Fuck off and die.

Day-um!
How many dictators can Koffi fellate in one day? DANEgerus has them listed. Go take a look. Tell me again why the hell we allow the UN in this country? You all know my prefered method to get rid of them: lock the doors and bulldoze the place with every worthless dictator and theocrat inside.
I'm not alone in that, either.
Oh, by the way; DANE also has a roundup of the "peaceful" ISM posing with terrorists. Yep, nothing says "peace" like posing with the Al Aqsa Maryrs Brigade holding AK-47s, ya know? Worthless idiots. Actually, to the Islamonazi's they're "useful idiots". Hell, they're just plain idiots. Too bad more of them don't sit down in front of an armored Cat D6 bulldozer like their hero, St. Rachel Corrie of the Holy Pancake.
And yes, I question their patriotism. Because they engage in Anti-American activities every chance they get. I'm sorry, but burning American flags, calling America a facist country and calling for America's destruction is anti-American. It's not "dissent" at that point. Personally, if I had my way I would take pictures of these anti-American assholes in the palestinian occupied areas and prevent them from re-entering America. Piss on em. They're worthless cretins and I don't want them polluting my country. Let them stay with the terrorists. Enjoy your martyrdom, you pricks!
But that's just me.

Riding the Bush Train
Dow nears record high: Yahoo! Finance
Consumer confidence skyrockets: - Yahoo! News
Treasury: Federal Deficit Down 14.1 Pct: Houston Chronicle
Gas prices continue to drop: San Antonio Business Journal
What can derail the boom and elect Democrats?? An October Surprise from Iran.
Do it, please. Let Republicans stump and explain how the Left have been enriching themselves with "environmentalist" money while forcing the American people to lie prostrate to the Middle East oil kings.

Another good one is gone
Althought unfortunately I can't say I'm too surprised at her death. Cancer is a bitch.
I don't know much about Fallaci's politics, but I do know that she recognized the danger that Islam presented, and she was reviled for simply stating her opinion on that danger. And anyone who is absolutely hated for expressing a politically incorrect opinion on Islam can't be all bad.
I've read some of her writing, and I would suggest that anyone who wants to write in a simply powerful style would do well to read her works and see how she wrote.
Rest in peace, Ms. Fallaci.
Oriana Fallaci, a veteran Italian journalist and author who challenged world leaders in uncompromising interviews and recently drew criticism for her vehement attacks on Islam, has died at 76, officials said Friday.
Fallaci, who was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago, died overnight in a private clinic in Florence, said Paolo Klun, an official with the RCS publishing group, which published Fallaci's work. Klun said Fallaci, who lived in New York, had come back to her hometown days before as her condition worsened.

Tyler Drumheller - Another CIA LIAR
Bush's CIA Critic Claim Exposed as Untrue
By Ronald Kessler
WASHINGTON — In a "60 Minutes" interview on April 23, Tyler Drumheller, a former chief of the CIA's Europe division, made a sensational charge.
He claimed that President Bush and his White House ignored intelligence before the invasion of Iraq indicating that Saddam Hussein had no had weapons of mass destruction.
On the CBS-TV show, and in subsequent media interviews that appeared throughout the world, Drumheller said that the White House was excited about the fact that the CIA was getting information straight from Naji Sabri, the then Iraqi foreign minister. But when the White House found out this source was reliably saying that Saddam had no WMD, Bush and his White House weren't interested.
"He [Sabri] told us that they had no active weapons of mass destruction program," Drumheller told correspondent Ed Bradley in a segment called "A Spy Speaks Out."
"So in the fall of 2002, before going to war, we had it on good authority from a source within Saddam's inner circle that he didn't have an active program for weapons of mass destruction?" Bradley asked.
"Yes," Drumheller said, proclaiming himself outraged.
According to Drumheller, Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice brushed aside the CIA report on what Sabri had to say because "the policy was set. The war in Iraq was coming, and they were looking for intelligence to fit into the policy, to justify the policy."
Drumheller saw "how the Bush administration time and time again welcomed intelligence that fit the president's determination to go to war and turned a blind eye to intelligence that did not," Ed Bradley said in the introduction to the "60 Minutes" piece.
Now it appears Drumheller's claim was untrue, according to the findings of a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence investigation. Rather than undercutting the Bush administration's rationale for invading Iraq, Sabri's account shows how well-founded the intelligence on Saddam's weapons program appeared to be.
Ironically, just as Drumheller claimed that Bush ignored the truth about Iraq, the media have ignored the documentation in the Senate report demolishing Drumheller's claim.
An addenda to the Senate report on postwar findings about Iraq's WMD program says all the operational documents relating to Sabri indicate he told the CIA just the opposite of what Drumheller claimed. The Senate report refers to Sabri as a source with direct access to Saddam Hussein and his inner circle but does not name him.
"Both the operations cable and the intelligence report prepared for high-level policy-makers [based on interrogation of the source] said that while Saddam Hussein did not have a nuclear weapon, ‘he was aggressively and covertly developing such a weapon,'" the Senate report said.
The documents said "Iraq was producing and stockpiling chemical weapons," according to the addendum, signed by Sens. Pat Roberts, R–Kan., Orrin G. Hatch, R–Utah, and Saxby Chambliss, R–Ga. Iraq's weapon of last resort was mobile launched chemical weapons, which would be fired at enemy forces and Israel, the CIA documents said.
Moreover, there is "not a single document relating to this case which indicates that the source said Iraq had no WMD programs," the addenda said. "On the contrary, all of the information about this case so far indicates that the information from this source was that Iraq did have WMD programs."
What the source said was consistent with the CIA's October 2002 National Intelligence Estimate, the report said. The report added: "The committee is still exploring why the former chief/EUR's public remarks differ so markedly from the documentation."
At least 134 stories and TV shows have referred to Drumheller's claims and his criticism of the CIA and Bush administration in general. One of the stories ran as the second lead of the June 25, 2006 Washington Post.
"Warnings on WMD ‘Fabricator' Were Ignored, Ex-CIA Aide Says," the headline over the Post story said. According to the story, Drumheller was dumbfounded when he saw a classified version of the speech Secretary of State Colin Powell was about to give to the United Nations citing Iraq's biological weapons factories on wheels.
Drumheller claimed he had warned George Tenet, the director of Central Intelligence, in a phone call, and John McLaughlin, the deputy director, in a personal meeting that the source for that claim, code-named "Curveball," was a fabricator.
Not until the 32nd paragraph of the Post story did the reader learn that both Tenet and McLaughlin said they had no recollection of warnings Drumheller allegedly gave them. Both men said they would have taken immediate action if he had.
While two former CIA officials said they recalled Drumheller telling them at the time about warnings he allegedly gave McLaughlin, no meeting with Drumheller appeared on McLaughlin's official calendar, according to the report of the Commission on Intelligence Capabilities of the U.S. Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction, known as the Silverman-Robb commission.
Carroll & Graf is publishing Drumheller's book, "On the Brink: How the White House Has Compromised American Intelligence," written with Elaine Monaghan, on Sept. 28, according to the Amazon listing. The publisher's Web site lists the publication date as this winter.
Neither Drumheller nor a Carroll & Graf spokesperson responded to messages seeking comment.
So far, no media outlet has run the Senate committee's addendum demolishing Drumheller's claim that Bush and his White House did not want to hear the truth about whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Say WHAT?
I just heard that Rosie O'Donnel stated that "Fundamentalist Christians were just as dangerous as fundamentalist Muslims in America".
Pardon me.... I got so nauseous due to the stupidity of that statement that I think I'm going to vomit.
Once again, dear Rosie demonstrates why she should have never been allowed back onto a TV stage ever again. Tell me Rosie, when have fundie Christians hacked off someone's head just because they were a different religion? When have Christians blown up buildings and civilians in an attempt to get people to convert? And don't even try that Timothy McVeigh bullshit. He was as Christian as he was black. As in, HE WASN'T!
While Rosie is busy equating Christians with terrorists, in Muslim countries all over the mideast lesbians and gays are being executed simply because they're homosexual. Tell me Rosie, do you think you could live for five minutes in Iran? Because I don't. Not only would they kill you for being gay, they would probably hack off your head in order to stop the flow of stupidity that continues unabated from your blathering piehole.
Quite honestly, I'm sick of that stupid, blathering bitch, and I can't believe that anyone would put her back on television. But you know what makes me vomit even harder? Go over to Hot Air and watch the video. And when Rosie makes her statement, listen to the audience applaud. And realize that not only is Rosie so stupid that she makes a crack-smoking baboon seem intelligent, but the people who adore her ARE EVEN WORSE.
These people wallow in stupidity like a pig wallows in mud. They enjoy it. They're so damn retarded that they leap into the stupid pool with both feet. They're the political equivalent of the Flat Earth Society. They're a black hole of stupidity that sucks up any intelligent life. They're stupidity junkies, sucking down their daily fix of stupid and jonesing for another hit. They are ideological crack whores, and if they get their way they will be in charge of protecting this nation after the election.
I don't know about you, but having people elected by anyone as stupid as Rosie and her syphilitic syncophants scares the shit out of me.

I'll take "Unilateral" for 2,500, Alex
I have written before on why Unilateralism isn't such a bad thing. Here's another example why, courtesy of Captain's Quarters.
NATO is supposed to be a joint defense treaty. But when over half the members either cannot or will not pony up troops, then what good is it? In the modern world we live in, the new definition of "multilateral" means that the USA and the UK put up most of the troops, but we have the thumbs-up from everyone else. "Yay USA! You go and do it! Just don't ask for help, cause we can't give ya anything or anyone!"
We have got troops from almost every country in Europe, that's true. And I'm not trying to lessen the sacrifice of those troops. But let's face it, who would you want there: 50,000 American troops, or 200 French troops? Who could do the most good? I'll let Captain Ed give his two cents:
Tell me why we should be multilateral when the countries who scream at us to get global support refuse to support us? This charade does nothing but threaten stability in Afghanistan, because the help we thought we were going to get, and that we planned for, has failed to materialize. So while we planned and started a mission, we now have to react to cover the areas that are short, which effects our mission as a whole. We would have been better off if we had simply not counted on those countries for support and changed our ops plan to deal with that reality. There are areas of Afghanistan that are as lawless as the Anbar region of Iraq. The Taliban is still fighting us, only now they've had time to reorganize and resupply. Instead of platoon sized elements, we're now fighting battalion sized groups. And the troops that were supposed to be helping us from the EU in general are not there. So once again, it's falling on the USA and her close allies (the UK, Australia, Canada, Italy and Poland) to fill the gaps and deal with the situation. What has multilateralism gotten us in Afghanistan that we couldn't have gotten by just forging ahead with our allies? The blessing ofFermany and Grance Germany and France? So what?
Oh, and the same feckless idiots who were hollaring about multilateralism in Afghanistan are the same witless morons who want us to take a unilateral approach to North Korea. The same jackasses who shrieked that we needed a coalition in Iraq now want us to go head to head with Iran. They say we "sold out" our deplomacy to Europe when it comes to Iran. OK, fine. Does that mean that we can deal with Iran how we see fit? Not according to the Democrats, who never met a Bush plan they couldn't attack. Which tells me that they really don't care about multilateralism or unilateralism, it's all just cheap political stunts. So why are we playing this game?
Gah. I say it's time to tell the world to get bent. Put up or shut up. And that goes for the Democrats. Every time I hear a Dimocrap supporter go on about how the Democrats would make America safer, I always ask "So what's their plan?"
I have yet to get a response. That tells you something, doesn't it?
THE political head of Nato appealed yesterday for alliance members to provide hundreds more troops for the mission in southern Afghanistan.
With most of the fighting burden falling on the shoulders of the British, US, Canadian and Dutch troops in the South, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Secretary-General of Nato, said that some countries had failed to live up to their promises on troop numbers.
Perhaps people might recall the insistence of Europe and many here in America on engaging Afghanistan and Iraq through international alliances. We tried in both cases, and we had a lot more support from our allies with Afghanistan, as it had created much less controversy than the war against Saddam Hussein. Our relief by NATO was supposed to show America the benefits of "true" international coalitions in dealing with the complex problems of Southwest Asia.
However, once again, we see that the global community lacks the fortitude to make good on their promises and meet the challenge of their own demands. The same nations that scolded us over our supposedly unilateral approach now refuse to answer the phone when NATO calls on them to meet their pledges of troop support. The French do not belong to NATO, but the rest of Europe will blithely sit and watch Afghanistan's new democratically-elected government fall victim to a resurgent Taliban rather than lift a finger to help. Even Germany, with 2700 troops stationed in the quiet north, refuses to redeploy to assist the US, UK, and Canada in the more volatile southern region.
Tell me why we should be multilateral when the countries who scream at us to get global support refuse to support us? This charade does nothing but threaten stability in Afghanistan, because the help we thought we were going to get, and that we planned for, has failed to materialize. September 11th and the Past
I had a nice post all written up about the failures of the Democrats in general and Clinton in particular with regards to terrorism, bin Laden, and security. I've deleted it. One, it's old news, and it's been hashed, rehashed, and gone over way too often. Two, all the finger pointing from years ago doesn't mean squat when it comes to the terrorist appeasing tactics of the Democrats today.
Think about it: What good does pointing out past failures do us when the present day Democrats are fighting against every terror-fighting tactic we can come up with? Think of the NSA wiretapping programs. That program has been credited with stopping terror attacks at home and abroad, and the Democrats torpedoed it as fast as they could. And they did it by leaking the information to the New York Slimes. Yay Democrats. Thanks for disabling a working program. Tell me again how you would fight terrorists? Oh, that's right, you WOULDN'T. But from what we see today, they really don't have a problem with snooping and illegal activity per se. It's only the targets that they have a problem with. You see, snooping on terrorists is bad. Hacking into a computer to embarass a Republican is perfectly OK in their book.
Of course, the Dimocrats are saying they didn't do anything wrong. Of course, they're lying. As usual.
So remember, according to the Dimocrats, snooping on terrorists is bad, but snooping on Republicans is good. And this is the polical party who says they're strong on national security? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

The campaign of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Democratic rival acknowledged Tuesday that it downloaded - and leaked to the media - a recording of a private meeting in which the governor described a Hispanic legislator as having a "very hot" personality.
Of course, the Dimocrats are saying they didn't do anything wrong. Of course, they're lying. As usual.
Schwarzenegger spokesman Adam Mendelsohn said someone would have had to snoop to find the audio file.
"The file that was leaked to the Los Angeles Times was in a private area of the governor's server not accessible to the public without manipulation of information," he said.
Schwarzenegger's legal affairs secretary, Andrea Lynn Hoch, said the sound file was stored in a password-protected area. She said she forwarded the Internet Protocol address used to download the file to the California Highway Patrol, which is investigating.
So remember, according to the Dimocrats, snooping on terrorists is bad, but snooping on Republicans is good. And this is the polical party who says they're strong on national security? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Memri Does 911 Memorial Video
Where was the good will in the muslim world on September 11, 2001? The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon should be remembered not only for those who we lost, but so that we may know and face our enemies.

Five years later
I haven't posted much today, because I've been up since 0500 ensuring that my unit's annual training goes smoothly. Another reason is because, quite honestly, I'm a little sickened by what I see in America today.
There are actually sick, twisted kooks who believe that September 11th was done by the US government, despite all the evidence to the contrary. The piles of evidence. The mountains. That's like standing outside a concentration camp and saying that the Holocaust didn't happen. And the Democrats are running one of these loons, these embarassments to humanity, for Senate.
There are people in America today who believe that George W. Bush is a bigger threat than terrorism. Indeed, they think that Bush is a terrorist, not Osama bin Laden.
Excuse me?
There are people in this country who actually believe that running away and hiding from terrorists, giving them whatever they want, will end terrorism. Like that worked for so well for three decades leading up to September 11th.
I cannot begin to accurately describe the kind of rank ignorance and stupidity it would take to believe any of the above. I really can't.
If it weren't for September 11th, I wouldn't be in uniform again. When I ETSed in 2000, I swore up and down that I would never again be part of the Armed Forces. Been there, did that, got the damn BDU shirt, and I'm done.
Yeah, right. Here I am once again with "U.S. Army" embroidered over my heart. And dammit, it's because I refuse to just sit around and wait to get hit. It's because I'm going to do more than deny, ignore and hide. I'm going to be a part of Operation Kill Terrorist Bastards, and I'm going to do my part to ensure that anyone who wants to kill my countrymen has to go through ME first. And I am very hard to kill. I[m doing it so that hopefully, sometime in the future, my step-son can go to work without worrying if he'll die in a bomb attack. I'm doing it so that people like Tim, and TVE, and Helen, and all the people who posted here can continue to do so without fear of being shut down by some Islamic Caliphate. I'm doing it so my family can live the way they want to.
I'm doing it so that people can sit at home and watch Fahrenheit 9-11 and drink beer and think "Damn, that George W. Bush is an idiot" while they scratch their shriveled nutsack and contemplate giving their hard three inches to the non-shaven wife.
But I'll tell you what. I'll lay down my life for my step-son, or my family. I'll lay down my life for all that which I hold dear. But more and more, it's becoming harder and harder to reconcile myself to the fact that I may have to lay down my life for someone who thinks that America is evil. In fact, I wouldn't lay my life down for Cindy Sheehan for all the money in America. Terrorists raping you and hacking off your head? Sorry 'bout that, Cindy. Hey, why don't you call Je$$e Jack$son and see if he can help you? I hear Al Sharpton is a real impressive negotiator, give him a call!
Luckily, when I go to war I won't be going to war for Cindy Sheehan. I'll be going to war for my family, and my step-son, and my Father who did his time before me in the jungles of Viet Nam, and my Grandfather, who fought the Japanese in the Pacific, and my Great-Grandfather who helped conquer the West in a U.S. Army cavalry uniform.
I'll be doing it for all of them.
In the meantime, I'm going to do my best to ensure that the idiots and brain-dead morons who want to tear down America continue to fail. I'm going to do my best to ensure that the Defeatocrats do not regain power. And I'm going to do my best to ensure that this country has the will to win a fight for our way of life and our very existence.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to clean my combat boots and drink a beer.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to clean my combat boots and drink a beer.

...The Battle of Brandywine, 11 September 1777.
Some people didn't want to be freed from the tyranny that shackled them.

As dawn broke on the morning of September 11th, Sir William Howe was in the process of dividing his army. At six o'clock, Knyphausen marched with 6,800 men along the Nottingham Road directly toward Chad's Ford. His mission was to engage Washington's attention while Howe marched at five o'clock with 8,200 men northeast from Kennett Square up the Great Valley Road, turned east across the Brandywine at Trimble's and Jeffries' fords, and then proceeded south around the American right flank. A dense fog cover initially shielded Howe's march, and locals kept him well informed of his route."locals kept him well informed of his route"

Windows of the World was destroyed during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. At the time of the attack on the World Trade Center, the restaurant was hosting regular breakfast patrons and the Waters Financial Technology Congress. Of those present in the restaurant at the time that American Airlines Flight 11 impacted the North Tower, all eventually perished as a result of the attack. This included 73 restaurant staff, 16 Waters employees, and 71 conference guests. From the New York Times:
It is believed that the image of the The Falling Man was an employee at Windows On The World named Jonathan Briley.Windows on the World @ Wikipedia
Preparing for Caribbean TripThis has been a sobering project for me, for aside from that NYT tribute, there is no other information about Nancy Diaz out there.
Nancy Diaz loved to shop, but in her last days she was shopping with a purpose: Her daughter's birthday was coming up, and she was planning a trip to the Dominican Republic, where the girl lived with a greatgrandmother.
Planning to fly to the Caribbean on Sept. 14, she started her workday three and a half hours early, at 7 a.m., the previous Tuesday so she could use the free afternoon to prepare for her trip, said her brother, Leonel Diaz. A kitchen assistant, she was tending to the breakfast buffet on the 107th floor of the north tower when the first plane hit, he said.
Ms. Diaz, 28, who lived with her sister in the Bronx and had moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic less than three years ago, liked her American life, particularly her job, her brother said. She had a boyfriend at work (he was off on Sept. 11), and she had just heard from her boss that she had promotion potential. "They said 'You can be a manager. You're such a hard worker,' " Mr. Diaz said. Now Ms. Diaz's daughter is preparing to come to New York visit her family.

Wow
Check out this YouTube post comments section. 451 comments so far. (I'm n336ap.) Lots of liberal moonbats but lots of informed conservatives, too. Join the fun. The video posted is a trailer for "Path to 9/11" which includes a bit of those deleted scenes. (See also here. One full hour of the 5-hour miniseries has been cut since Clinton's lawyers started threatening Disney's CEO.) And as usual, instead of responding to critisizm (unless you think calling someone a "liar" counts as a response), the DNC threatens and sues. Now the libtards are declaring all-out war on ABC. "Free speech for me, but none for thee," should be the DNC motto, but it is entertaining watching them twist and squirm, accusing the other side of fascism even as they are in the act of silencing their critics through intimidation and (il)legal force.
The delete scenes beg the question, "What was in Sandy Berger's pants?" Sandy Berger admitted to stealing five "code-word" classified (more secret than top-secret) security documents from the National Archives. He admitted to destroying three of the five documents. He admitted that he lied to federal investigators by telling them initially that he merely removed the documents “by accident.” Was he punished? Hell no! But that's not the point. Could it be that the Clinton gang is bullying ABC because its miniseries comes too close to the truth? Could it be that the deleted scene where special ops has bin Laden in their gun-sights but abort when Berger and Clinton refuse to authorize execution, despite approving the mission, is true in substance?
