My little rant to folks today

This is President Trump responding to riots: “I know your pain, I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt.”

This is Kamala Harris responding to riots: “They’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop. This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.”

I can both condemn the violence that happened yesterday, and still tell the people who aided and abetted the violence for the past year to shut the fuck up and get the fuck out with their bullshit. I don't want to hear one damn word from the party that used violence to gain political power. "Oh but Dave, Republicans don't do that kind of stuff!" Yeah, not normally. You know what else Republicans don't do? We don't control the House. We don't control the Senate. And in thirteen days, we no longer have anyone in the White House who gives a shit about this country. Democrats used violence to get everything they wanted, and now this country is fucked for at least the next two years. Is it any surprise that the opposition will start to use the tactics the Democrats used against them?

Folks, just what the hell did people think was going to happen?  You shut down people speech.  You commit blatant fraud during the election, and when people try to deal with that the right way (i.e. through the courts) the courts dismiss the lawsuits either because of "standing" or by saying "Well, too late for you to file this now!"  You've taken away the soap box, the ballot box and the jury box.

In the meantime, the Left gets to run rampant, burn down cities, attack people on the right, literally attack them in public, violate the law multiple times over, riot at the drop of a hat, and what happens to them?  Nothing.  Not a damn thing.  Two Democrats defended their property from the mob in St. Louis and they were arrested and charged with multiple crimes.  The mob that trespassed and threatened them?  Scott free, baby.

Did the powers that be think that we the people weren't watching?

And just think about this.  That group of people in D.C. currently occupying the Capitol building?  They're a small, tiny fraction of the people who are pissed off.  They're a small, tiny fraction of the people who have watched as the Left stole an election and laughed in their faces.  They're a small tiny fraction of the people who have seen their country and their way of life destroyed by the government and various other Leftists.  They're just the ones who could get to D.C.  They're less than 1% of the people in this country who are ready to hang people and fight back, because we'd rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

There's at least one solid bit of knowledge coming out of Georgia

 The Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, is a lying, two-faced, backstabbing piece of shit who should never have a job in government ever again.

So when Raffensperger went on Fox and tried to whine about Trump being mean to him, MacCallum actually asked him the first question that anyone should ask him about the call: did you leak the call or have it leaked? “Did you OK the release of the phone call? Did you say, ‘OK, let’s release the audio of the phone call’?” she asked the Secretary of State.

Only in government could you be this incompetent, lazy, narcissistic and stupid, and not be somehow forced to deal with the consequences of your actions.  In the civilian world, someone like Raffensperger would either get fired, or his company would start failing under his so-called "leadership".  But not Georgia!  Nope, in Georgia, Raffensperger still gets to go on TV and talk about how mean the Orange Man Bad is being.  Well, that's at least until the 2022 election, when the vast majority of voters in Georgia who are currently seeing red at the douchebaggery of Raffensperger and Kemp will get to have a say in whether or not they keep their jobs.  But by then it will be too late.

On Sunday, a Democratic representative — who also happens to have been a pastor for 37 years — gave an official prayer to open the 117th Congress. With great pomp and circumstance, he closed his prayer by invoking “the monotheistic god,” Brahma, and the god who supposedly goes by many names. He then concluded with the most asinine thing I have ever heard. He ended with “amen … and a-woman.”

Supposedly, Emmanuel Cleaver, the brainless assclown who gave the prayer, served as a Methodist pastor for decades.  That in and of itself should show you just how far the Methodist faith has fallen.  

Quite frankly, if this were my Representative, I would be calling for him to step down, as he has proven that he lacks the brainpower, morals and judgement to serve in Congress.  But then, my representative is a Republican, not a Democrat, so I'm hoping that my rep wouldn't make any statements as asinine as the one that Emmanuel Cleaver just made.

Utah Lake

So Utah Lake has quite a bit of ice action.  Water comes into the lake from the North, and slowly exits from the South.  That motion causes the ice to crack and get pushed together, making quite a lovely scene for people who fancy a hike on the ice.

 

So anyways, The Mrs. and I took a hike yesterday.  Lots of people out ice fishing, lots of families having a good time.  It was fun to see.

The top seven myths (lies!) of 2020

 A decent summation.  I would say they are lies rather than myths, because they were pushed by the Left as a way to defeat Trump and destroy America.

And 2020 is toast

 The problem is, I don't think that 2021 is going to be any better.  In fact, I think it's going to be far worse.

Pooch got some teeth taken out

 Our dog here at the Ragin' Casa is getting a little long in the tooth.  On top of that he's done a number on his teeth years ago, and it's starting to bite him in the ass.  He had two teeth that were cracked open and had to be removed.  Got that done.  Now he's laying on the couch recovering from the anesthesia and wondering why he feels weird.  

He's a good dog, and it's a little sad knowing that his years are getting short.  But dogs lives are short in order to reinforce on us just how precious life truly is.  He still loves to chase a ball and go for walks, he just can't do it for as long as he used to.  I'm hoping he makes it to retirement, so that when he finally goes I can bury him on our property in Idaho.

We need to boil up some tar and tear open some pillows

Elk stir fry

 

Elk stir fry, with zucchini kimcheee.  Because I'm multicultural, and shit.

I do love kimchee, but I can't digest cabbage, or any of the cruciferous family.  So we make kimchee out of all the other various veggies, because I want that flavor. 

Elk bones

 A friend of mine got an elk last Monday.  I helped him pull it off a mountain, and then I helped him butcher it and package it up.  He gave me quite a bit of elk for my trouble, as well as the hide and the bones.  He was going to throw the hide away anyways.

The hide is currently scraped and salted, and sitting in the garage waiting for me to soak it and tan it.  I got a commercial tanning compound, as I forgot to get the brain from the head.  We left the head on the mountain, because I didn't want to pull any weight down that I didn't need to pull.  The bones are currently in the smoker.  There's nothing like a smoked bone to throw in soups or stews.  Not only do you get the smoke flavor, but all the marrow and other nutrients that modern America throws away are all there in the bones.  Do you wonder why your chicken soup doesn't taste as good as grandma's?  Add the bones.  Red beans and rice?  Ham bones in the beans.  Ever had pho?  Beef and pork bones used to make the broth.

These bones will get sealed up and put in the freezer until we need them for a soup or a stew.  I use every bit of an animal, and quite frankly I don't know why other people don't.  But I'm old fashioned, and I know it.

UPDATE:  The bones are smoked, and vacuum sealed.

Toss one of those in a pot of chili, or a good beef stew?  Boy, you don't know what you're missing.

If your "science" and "facts" are based on numbers that are off by at least 20%, that's not science, it's bullshit.  

And based on the "expert" reaction, I would be willing to bet money that the actual numbers are far, far greater than 20%.

Every BASSIST needs to HEAR this - VICTOR WOOTEN

This applies to the drums as well.  The bass and drums are the heartbeat of a band.  Too many drummers today want to show that they can play a 4/4 beat with 4/5 timing, and it might work, but does it make the song flow?  If it doesn't make the song flow, then it's crap.  Listen to the great bassists in great rock bands, and even if they are pushing the bass line as far as it can go, they still make the song flow.  Ringo Star was the best example of this.  Ringo Star is an incredible drummer.  One of the absolute best.  He was able to keep time so well that they could take multiple takes of a song in the studio, and he kept the beat so well that they could splice the different takes together without a hitch.  This was before drummers had metronomes in their ears.

It's not about your technical proficiency.  It's about if you can make the song flow.  I'm not the greatest drummer in the world, far from it. But I can make the songs flow, and every group I played with wanted me to play with them again.

So, some random shit

 I'm now wearing the most expensive pairs of boots I've ever purchased in my life.  By a magnitude.  Made in America.  I can say that this is in the sphere of you get what you pay for.  These things are going to last me for a decade if not more.  They're the only boots I've purchases that didn't hurt my feet without putting in heat moldable insoles.  Are they expensive?  Yes.  Will they last me for years?  Yes.  I consider that a good bargain, given the number of shoes and boots I've purchased that lasted me for a year or two before I had to replace them.

The question is whether lockdowns worked to control the virus in a way that is scientifically verifiable. Based on the following studies, the answer is no and for a variety of reasons: bad data, no correlations, no causal demonstration, anomalous exceptions, and so on. There is no relationship between lockdowns (or whatever else people want to call them to mask their true nature) and virus control. 

Perhaps this is a shocking revelation, given that universal social and economic controls are becoming the new orthodoxy. In a saner world, the burden of proof really should belong to the lockdowners, since it is they who overthrew 100 years of public-health wisdom and replaced it with an untested, top-down imposition on freedom and human rights. They never accepted that burden. 

The lockdowns are bullshit.  The mask mandates are bullshit.  It is all bullshit, being used to control you by psychopathic "elites" who demand total and utter control of your life for their gain.

If masks were the answer, wouldn’t you expect to see a drop in cases not long after mask mandates are implemented? At the very least, wouldn’t you expect to see cases level off and STAY leveled off? What you would NOT expect would be what has actually happened, for cases to spike as they have done since November seemingly all across the country, regardless of whether or not a mandatory masking policy was in place.

The people pushing the mask bullshit might as well be members of the cult of "BELIEVE IN SCIENCE".  Their behaviors fall more in line with a religious cult of slaves and morons than any actual scientific method.

Heading out early today

 Helping a friend drag an elk off a mountain.  That's if there's any left.  He shot it last night but couldn't pull it out himself.  The temperatures are below freezing, so he field dressed it and left it, and we're going back up to see what we can do.  But, this being the wild wild West, I wouldn't be surprised if we get up there and find that coyotes have taken some or all of the carcass.  Only way to find out is to get there, so....  off we go!  Toodles!

 Washer broke down.  Tried to fix it, and couldn't.  So, off to ye oldde appliance shoppe.  

Got a larger freezer while we were there.  Our little chest freezer wasn't holding everything anymore.

Ouch.  Even with shopping around, getting good deals, discounts, it was still a pretty penny.

But given how long our washers last, we shouldn't need to buy a new one for at least a decade.

I've got ten pounds of Cajun andouille smoking right now.  That's a staple in our winter diet.  Nothing like good smoked andouille to add to soups and stews.  And gumbo.  And red beans and rice.  Oh yeah.

America didn't elect Joe Biden.  The DNC used fraud and criminal behavior to steal the election, period.

Well, only a status-seeking, dumber-than-shit skank would marry into the Biden family anyways.

 "Doctor" Jill Biden is smarter than her husband, but that's not saying much.

This follows my observation that people working towards a graduate degree can't spell, don't know basic grammar, can't even be bothered to use SPELLCHECK or a fucking CALCULATOR to double-check their efforts.  I'll address an actual doctor as "Doctor".  MD, DDS, Veterinarians, all those people spent years working on their knowledge base, their skills, and even more years on top of that to get certified to do their job.  Jill Biden wrote a dissertation that I wouldn't accept from a high school student.

The drums on this are almost clinical.  Back when I had a set downstairs, I would try to play along with this song.  The triplets on the ride cymbal might sound simple, but to try to keep that beat steady without "skipping" the beats takes both talent and skill.  If you were an aspiring drummer, just playing along with this song would give you plenty of practice.

More music that doesn't suck

That drummer is a fucking metronome, and this was before drummers wore an earpiece that would tick the timing in their ear.  This guy is rock solid, and he keeps the band just jamming straight on.  It's not a complex drum rhythm, but without this guy going to town and keeping the beat, the song falls apart.

Having been to several of my local Merchants 'o Death in the past few days, I can confirm that just about any weapon that can be used to repel government thugs is sold right the hell out.  Ammo?  Gone.  There were a few esoteric calibers still on the shelf, some of which I haven't ever seen before.  I found the one shop that was selling 9mm, limiting it to two boxes per person.  So I walked out with two boxes.  I found another shop that had single-aught buckshot, and I got a box of that as well.  Every single person I know is stocking up on ammo if they can, and planning for the worst.

In November, Americans bought enough weapons to outfit the USMC.  Guns are gone.  Hell, I can't even find a Ruger 10/22 in the shops around here.  The only guns left are in the $1000 and over range.  People are freaking the hell out and getting ready to fight.  And the Left keeps pushing, and pushing, and pushing.

I need to look for more ammo.

Earlier today, Slow Joe was seen talking to the press between events.  Curiously absent, was Slow Joe’s walking boot. For a nearly-80-year-old who broke a bone, the man seems to have very little problem navigating around without the walking cast that is supposed to remove pressure from the healing bones.  Biden broke his foot just 8 days ago, not nearly enough time for the injury to heal.

One leads to the other

 Tucker Carlson has a monologue about how Biden, the DNC and huge swaths of the D.C. Swamp are in bed with the CCP.  Well, really it's a Chinese professor detailing how the CCP controls the upper ring of the Swamp management.

If you watch the above clip, what you’ll see is a Beijing-based professor bragging about China’s ability to settle affairs with the United States in their favor. But it’s his admission that that’s only possible because the CCP has people placed he calls “old friends” in upper positions of power across the influence sectors in the country. He’s obviously talking about government inroads, but he also specifically mentions someone being the vice president at a major Wall Street firm. At another point, he notes an American woman who now has dual Chinese citizenship and lives part of the year in Beijing. Why that’s important is that the communist nation does not allow dual citizenship. You do the math on that.

Things got more damning, though. The professor goes on to talk specifically about President Trump and how he’s blown up China’s ability to control American interests and bend them in their favor. The trade war is specifically mentioned here, with it being noted that Wall Street “tried to help” but couldn’t do much because Trump held an adversarial position against the financial institutions in question. Unsurprisingly, we hear about how easy Barack Obama’s administration was to manipulate in comparison. The professor even brags about having so many people near the levers of power during that time, but they couldn’t “fix Trump” in his words.

Anyone who's been watching for the past couple of decades knows that D.C. has sold out America to the CCP when it comes to economics.  After the farcical 2020 election theft, even fewer people think the system is actual fair and balanced, because we can see with our own eyes that it's a rigged game.  And while the Swamp desperately wants to go back to the way things used to be, they've spent so many years in their mad lust for power, destroying institutions that get in their way of complete control, they are going to be in for a shock.

4GW works in both directions. Normal Americans who believe in the Constitution and constitutional norms are figuring this out. The moral level is decisive. The bad guys can win at the tactical and physical levels, but lose at the operational, strategic, mental and moral levels where 4GW is decided. At the moral level, demanding free and fair elections is a pretty good place for the good guys to start.

Many normal Americans already have lost faith in our system. The question is how the country will respond if Joe Biden takes the oath of office on January 20 while ducking reasonable questions. Today’s temporary loss of faith may become terminal.

I don't think there's going to be armed rebellion.  Not yet, maybe not ever.  But things will just....  stop working.  Laws will be ignored.  Regulations will be flouted.  And the people who try to enforce the State's dictatorship will disappear.
