Given that half of this country has fallen back asleep.

The media made damn sure nothing interrupted their narrative, didn't they?  How long has it been since you last saw people jumping to their deaths from the Twin Towers in order to avoid an even worse death of being burned alive?

Do you even remember what it felt like that day?

Those people are still out there, waiting for their chance to strike again and kill as many Americans as possible.  The TSA won't stop them.  The government won't stop them.  Hell, the government can't even stop the mass flood of illegal aliens that continue across the border on a daily basis.  And let's face it - half this country would welcome in the killers and embrace them.

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed off and depressed today.

Transgenderism is a mental illness

Thankfully, it's an illness you can recover from.

As the transgender craze continues to grow, more and more people are discovering that they've been sold a bill of goods. After "transitioning" from one gender to another, people begin to reverse the process and "detransition." PJ Media spoke with Walt Heyer, a man who identified as a woman for eight years, who has helped "literally thousands" rediscover their birth sex after living as transgender. One famous former transgender described transgenderism as "bullish*t." 

"In the ten years or so that I've worked with people, 100 percent — every single last one of them — has had some kind of event — traumatic, painful, horrible, some sexual, some physical, some emotional — happen to them, sometime between the ages of 4 and 15, that caused them to not want to be who they are," Heyer told PJ Media.

"If we look at the evidence, we're actually manufacturing transgender kids by affirming them and giving them makeup," he said. Worse, this often papers over deep psychological trauma, and the LGBT movement insists these people don't need therapy. 

Given that many of the LGBT community are gay because of trauma that happened in their childhood, but they now have their entire identity wrapped up in their sexuality, therapy that strips them of their chosen identity is considered bad.

"There's a lot of people out there who are desperate to get help," Heyer said. "The LGBT activists are not going to help them."

Range time went well

The Ragin Mrs. is a wheelgun kinda gal, so semi-autos aren't something with which she has a lot of experience.  For one, she's unused to the kick of a sub-compact.  Hell, lots of folks are unused to the kick of a sub-compact, but she was a bit more startled by it due to her experiences with her .38 Special.  Still, she got to try out three different guns (four if you count my carry piece) and figure out a bit more just what she's looking for. 

Also, there was more gun shopping, which is to say a whole lot of holding guns, testing how they feel in the hand, drooling over the $5,000 custom 1911, but no actual buying of guns.  Because budget.

I also cut down a few small trees next to the house so we can begin setting up a range for my .22LR pistol.  The Mrs. wants the ability to go out and put some rounds on target so she's more confident with a larger gun.  I have the targets.  Now I have the space.  Although it was raining like crazy yesterday, so no bang bang yet.  Plus it was humid as hell.  Because Mississippi.  I've never seen moss grow on metal before until I got here.

This is going to be a busy couple of weeks, and then I'll be taking more leave at the end of the month.  I gave back a couple of days of leave last year.  That's not happening again.

Sperm Count Zero?

So apparently, men are less, uh, manly than they have been in decades past.

The Hebrew University/Mount Sinai paper was a meta-analysis by a team of epidemiologists, clinicians, and researchers that culled data from 185 studies, which examined semen from almost 43,000 men. It showed that the human race is apparently on a trend line toward becoming unable to reproduce itself. Sperm counts went from 99 million sperm per milliliter of semen in 1973 to 47 million per milliliter in 2011, and the decline has been accelerating. Would 40 more years—or fewer—bring us all the way to zero?

1 - I want to know who the test subjects actually were.

2 - Boys and young men today are lazier, more sedentary and less active, than they have ever been.  They have great thumb muscles from playing video games, but their bodies are weak.  Remember, 7 out of 10 high school graduates are unfit for military service, due to criminal activity, drug use, or being so completely out of shape that we cannot send them to basic training.  It stands to reason that boys who aren't active, not building muscle, and not doing more than moving from the chair to the fridge and back won't be producing much testosterone. 

3 - Speaking of drug use:  We have rather high rates of marijuana use.  THC effects the brain.  The glands that signal for the production of testosterone are where?  In the brain.  Studies have also shown that prolonged marijuana use can lower your sperm count.  In short, it messes with your testicles.  Where is testosterone produced?  In your testicles.   

The article traces the problem back down to plastics, and how much of them are ingested by humans.  Why take chances?  If you have boys, get them off the couch pronto, and don't let them smoke weed.  And then work on overall health.  Stop eating crap.  Learn how to cook real food.  Read labels.  If you can't pronounce it, you probably don't need to be eating it.

But in the end, we're all gonna die.  The only real question is how you want to live.

It’s the kind of action no good businessperson would ever take. But it most certainly is the kind of thing the social justice warrior crowd who increasingly populate the decision-making positions in corporate America can be expected to do. 

Again, why? The answer is something we said in our last entry in this space: because the Left is a political movement made up by and for people incapable of doing a good job at honest work.

Oh, and the whole hysteria over Bret Kavanaugh's confirmation is just golden for Trump supporters in the coming midterms.  You don't even need to script any ads, just play the video from various assholes and dipshits speaking about how the world will end and kittens will die and all women will be forced into bondage and unicorns will go extinct if he gets confirmed.

Won't stop them from being elected in New York or California, but those places have ceased to be American in any real sense.

Nike done shit itself, it seems....

So, Nike decided that putting noted Castro-lover and cop-insulter Colin Kaepernick on their new advert was a good idea.

Uh....  nope.

Now, I'm going going to boycott Nike over this.  In order to boycott them, I would have to first purchase their products, and I don't buy Nike crap.  It's cheap, over-priced, Chinese-made junk, all of it, and I haven't worn a pair of Nike shoes since 1994.  Then they stopped making the line I was wearing (Air Pegasus) and I moved on to other running shoes.  Once I found serious running shoes like New Balance and Saucony, I never gave Nike or any of the other big brands another thought.  If you walk into a store dedicated to running, you won't find Nike.  You won't find Addidas or any of the other fancy, slick marketing garbage that you see in Big 5 or Dicks.  That's because they suck.

Right now I'm running in Altra.  Previously I've used Merril, Vibram Five Fingers, and of course the previously mentioned New Balance and Saucony.  Once I found real running shoes, I have never put another Nike on my feet.

Their clothing is also over-priced, but not as crappy as their shoes.

Anyway, I said all that just to say that I can't boycott anything that I'm not buying to begin with.  So Nike can go ahead and tie Kaepernick's anchor to their sales and toss it overboard.  Pathetic bastards.  I guess all the pot smoke in Oregon finally got to their board members and made them think this was a good idea.

Telling the truth is now a crime

At least, if it's about the myth of the gender pay gap.

Tigges provided the Dallas Morning News with data to back up his claims. Meanwhile, on Twitter, the outrage mob claimed data didn’t support his claims (without providing any). Even in The Washington Post’s attempts to cover for the mob, it used data that supported what Tigges said: Female doctors work fewer hours because they prioritize their children.

Here's a crazy though - women get paid less because they work less, because they spend more time raising their family, and THAT IS THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE.

Yes.  THAT IS THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE.  Women prioritizing their family first is a GOOD thing.  It is good and right, and it should stop being looked down upon by the feminnazi harpies and their howling monkey allies in the press. 

The modern Left has done it's best to turn women into men with different plumbing, and as such as reduced women to the total value of their sexual parts.  Women need to get back to raising families, because they're the best at doing so.

Went shopping with the Mrs yesterday

Normally I regard shopping with my wife as something akin to pneumonia - something I avoid as best I can but still have to deal with every blue moon or so.  This time however, was a bit different.  You see, living in various places where she doesn't quite feel safe has made her want to carry a pistol, we're now in a place where she CAN carry a pistol (Los Angeles carry permit?  It is to laugh), and while she loves her bedroom gun, it's a revolver and she's not quite feeling like she can conceal it comfortably in this heat and humidity.

So, off we went to the local Merchant 'o Death to see what pistols fit her hands.  My dear wife, while cute and petite, has hands as wide as mine but not as long.  She's basically got Minecraft hands - they're square shaped and can be used as weapons.  She started out looking at some .380 pistols, but couldn't find any that felt comfortable in her grip.  That got us moving up to 9mm, and she found four pistols there that met the "big enough to hold, small enough to conceal" criteria for her.

For HER.  I know that there's lots of opinions out there about what is good and what is not.  In this, the only opinions I cared about are hers.  Did the pistol feel good in her hands?  Can she grip is comfortably?  Will she be able to conceal it?

By the by, there's an entire industry that caters to women concealing pistols.  I didn't know.  I guess it had never crossed my mind. 

Anyways, she looked at the Ruger LC9 (and it's cheaper twin, the EC9s), the Walther PPS, the S&W XD9, and the Glock 43.  Of the four, she likes the Ruger and Walther the best. 

Next up?  Range time.  We'll be stopping in at a local indoor rante some time in the future to rent the pistols, and putting rounds through paper to see what gun feels the best going pew pew pew.

It was a rather nice shopping trip.

Yeah, it's been long enough

Many of the problems the GOP faces can be traced to John McCain's "leadership".  You wonder how Donald Trump got elected?  Because voters got tired of political leaders like John McCain, a two-faced, back-stabbing, lying, egomaniacal, big-state war-mongering asshole who destroyed anyone who got in his way of a bigger paycheck.

I'm glad he's dead.  I'm glad he's gone, because then he can't do any more damage.  Unfortunately, we still have too many John McCain acolytes in the GOP.

Oh, and let's be blunt - John McCain's own family politicized his funeral.  So fuck them too.

I love running on a holiday

Nobody on the roads.  No assholes too busy with their cellphones to pay attention to what's in front of them.  Peace and quiet.  Did four and a half miles today, saw maybe three cars, and it was glorious.

I really need to live someplace where I can just be at peace; go for a run and not have to dodge people.  Unfortunately, that's still a few years out.

Why the Catholic Church is making things worse

And worse, and it's worse than you are probably thinking.

To be even more pointed, these priests, bishops, and cardinals are the chief agents of devangelization, de-Christianization, repaganization. There is nothing, nothing, that undermines the moral and theological authority of the magisterium more quickly and thoroughly than the devilish marriage of scandal and hypocrisy. It destroys the ability to evangelize. 

And note that I say both moral and theological. Why should anyone now take anything the magisterium has to say seriously, whether it’s the Church’s teachings about pedophilia and homosexuality, or its teachings on the Most Holy Trinity?

It's not just that the Lavender Mafia has spend decades sexually assaulting boys, young men, and seminarians.  It's that now that all the dirt has come out, the people responsible are now claiming that there's no real problem, and that we shouldn't believe our lying eyes.  It's just a bunch of conservative nutcases "pouncing" on the bad news, they say.  Ignore the blatant problems in the Church because they're not really real.  So say the people who have turned the Vatican into a bath-house.  Ignore the fact that Bergolio's boyfriend ran a male child prostitution ring in Argentina.

The people who are destroying the Church from the inside out are the same people trying to tell you that nothing is going on.  Do not believe them.  Hold them accountable.  Hold your diocese accountable, and demand that they in turn demand answers from higher.

The Church can survive this, but only if we demand that the perverts, pedophiles, and sexual deviants currently in charge get booted out.  Sometimes you have to cut off a limb in order to save the body.  Let's get to cutting.

In case you haven't guessed it yet, the Mrs. and I are on holiday with some friends.  We stopped in at Ye Oldde Bulke Shoppe in order to purchase some provisions so that we could provide meals for the entire gang that is currently in the house.  We did not get steaks.  We didn't buy crab or lobster.  We got the cheapest cuts of meat we could find, because included in this mess is two teenage boys and possibly some of their friends, and I understand very well what kind of empty stomach a teenage boy can have.  So the rack of lamb is out.  The pork roast that we can cut apart and put in a crock pot to make carnitas is in.

We got protein for six people to eat six meals.  It was over $100.  And that didn't include the veggies (green beans, because again, cheap and nutritious) or starches.

One of the people in my office is married to a German woman.  Her family came to visit.  They were stunned at how much food costs in the USA.

The official inflation rate might only be 2.3%, but that relates to your cost of living the way the price of tea in china relates to my coffee from Ethiopia.  In short, it doesn't.

Jorge Bergolio, aka "Pope" Francis, knew about the sex abuse, and approved of it

I normally don't post on Sundays, because I don't like doing downers when it's a day to relax, chill and be happy.  But this is big.

In an 11-page written testament, a former apostolic nuncio to the United States has accused several senior prelates of complicity in covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s allegations of sexual abuse, and has claimed that Pope Francis knew about sanctions imposed on then-Cardinal McCarrick by Pope Benedict XVI but chose to repeal them.

Bergolio KNEW about the sexual abuse.  Bergolio KNEW about the rapes, the assaults.  He KNEW about deviant, homosexual bishops and cardinals driving young men out of seminaries for not accepting sexual advances of perverted, dirty old men.  And he APPROVED of it, and helped make sure the people doing it were able to continue.

Again, according the Viganò, his request fell on deaf ears and he writes he was “greatly dismayed” that both memos were ignored until Sipe’s “courageous and meritorious” statement had “the desired result.” 

“Benedict did what he had to do,” Archbishop Viganò told the National Catholic Register Aug. 25, “but his collaborators — the Secretary of State and all the others — didn’t enforce it as they should have done, which led to the delay.”  

Benedict put sanctions on McCarrick, although that was delayed by various sodomites and other corrupted leaders in the Vatican.  And then came Bergolio, the anti-Pope.

He recalled meeting Cardinal McCarrick in June 2013 at the Pope’s Domus Sanctae Marthae residence, during which McCarrick told him “in a tone somewhere between ambiguous and triumphant: ‘The Pope received me yesterday, tomorrow I am going to China’” — the implication being that Francis had lifted the travel ban placed on him by Benedict (further evidence of this can be seen in this interview McCarrick gave the National Catholic Reporter in 2014). 

At a private meeting a few days later, Archbishop Viganò said the pope asked him, “What is Cardinal McCarrick like?” to which Viganò replied: “He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance.” The former nuncio said he believes the pope’s purpose in asking him was to “find out if I was an ally of McCarrick or not.”

If you're a Catholic, this should make your stomach churn in anger.  RIGHTEOUS anger.  Bergolio needs to resign.  McCarrick needs to be laicized.  Any bishop that has allowed this to continue needs to be removed from the clergy.  The entire leadership at the Vatican needs to be purged.  The Catholic Church has a huge problem, and it needs to be amputated like a gangrenous limb, lest it kill the entire body.

Pray for the restoration of the Church.  And understand that restoration includes removing these homosexual predators and various satanic actors from the Church.  Read it all.  And then let your local diocese know that any and all tithing outside of your local parish will cease until your bishop joins in calling for the resignation of anyone associated with the McCarrick scandal, for the good of the Church.

Papa's got a brand new.... camera.

Picked me up one of these on sale.  I've been wanting a moble/sport type camera for a while to document motorcycle rides (work related, don't ask) and this one popped up at a good price.  Once I figure out all the ins and outs I'll see if I can take a video of my daily ride to work and load it up.

Although keep in mind that I'm about the least technology-capable guy I know.

This is why nobody trusts the media, the FBI or the DOJ in this country.  It was all "RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA MUH COLLUSION RUSSIA RUSSIA!" And in the end, it was "He cheated on his taxes years before Trump decided to run for office."

And the media still thinks this will somehow bring down Trump.  No, really, they do, and they're whipping themselves into impeachment fever on the airwaves, a screeching hysterical soundwave that might actually kill a few folks through it's sheer volume of hatred and bile.  They honestly think that Trump's supporters will run away from him now Manafort has been exposed as a tax dodger.  Uh, sorry kids, but I don't think you're reading the tea leaves quite right.

This new conservative populist coalition is not the fluke the political class hoped it was. Donald Trump did not cause it, he is just the result of it, so no matter what he does, it continues. It is predicated on them, not him. 

The coalition is a strike at not just tone deafness in both Congress and the White House but also high levels of incompetence, negligence and shoddy performance at agencies, as well as inept social services, a bloated and incompetent bureaucracy, endless wars and multinational agreements and treaties that don’t benefit average people. 

These voters knew who Trump was going in, they knew he was a thrice-married, Playmate-dating, Howard Stern regular who had the morals of an alley cat. They were willing to look past all of that because of how institutions had failed their communities for three consecutive presidencies. 

Right now the value of Trump to the Trump voter is he is all that stands between them and handing the keys to Washington back over to the people inside Washington. That’s it. He’s their only option. You’ve got to pick the insiders or him.

Given the sheer corruption at every level of the government, in every department, in every building in Washington D.C., I'll take Trump.  You could show me video evidence of Trump banging a porn star while personally ripping a baby from the arms of a border-hopping señorita, and I'd still vote for him over any of the establishment goons who have done their level best to ruin this country.  He could be balls deep in Stormy Daniels' ass while screaming racial epithets at the head of the NAACP and I'd still vote for him over anyone the DNC or GOP puts forward.  Who you gonna vote for, Jeb?  Kasich?  Really?

We have illegal aliens killing college students in this country, the DNC is brushing it off as no big deal, just some dead white girl in Iowa, the GOP refuses to build the damn wall, and you think Trump is going to suffer because Paul Manafort filed a fake tax claim years ago?

Hillary Clinton, aka Felonia von Pantsuit, ran an illegal email server out of her house, and committed multiple felonies with it, the FBI didn't even bother to investigate it, and then the FBI lied about it to help cover up Clinton's felonies, and you think any member of the GOP or DNC uniparty is going to be better than Trump?  I don't.

Trump will get re-elected because the other option is handing the country back over to the people who hate us, want us to die, and can't wait to once gain profit from their political connections.

That's how you got Trump.  And that's how you'll get Trump again.

Predators go to where the prey is gathered

Instapundit has a running bit that starts with "Teach teachers not to rape" and goes from there.  I know that there's a sexual abuse problem in the church, specifically a homosexual abuse problem.  But there's a bigger problem in the publik skool sistim that people ignore because it's much easier to blame a religion than it is to understand that a predator will go to where their prey are gathered.

A volunteer track coach at a Missouri high school has confessed to having sex with a 17-year-old male athlete whose father once interrupted one of their illicit encounters, authorities said.

You can do a search to find out how many teachers have been banging their students; male, female, gay, straight, all of it.  Of course, the male teachers are all characterized as awful predators who deserve to be castrated and executed, while the female teachers might not even see jail time.  I'm being serious. 

I told someone who was fearful of sending her son to church that no matter where she sends her son, if she isn't constantly vigilant, he's going to be preyed upon.  It could be at church.  It could be at school.  It could be at a music lesson or an extra-curricular activity.  Predators go to where the prey is, and deviant sexual behavior is not only more accepted today, it's encouraged through making sexual deviants a "victim" and giving them special status.  Which means that the predators are more aggressive in their predation because they know that they'll be protected in some form or fashion.  You can say you don't want a certain person around your son, and the response today is "Why are you such a homophobic bigot?!?!", thus turning YOU into the bad person while the possible predator now has access to your son with society's blessing.

Predators go to where the prey is gathered.  If you're a parent, you don't get to let your guard down.  It sucks, but until we're allowed to take pedophiles out back and put a bullet in their brain, this is the world I live in.

If more people were forced to deal with the consequences of their actions, instead of foisting the cost off on people who are trying to live their lives in an upright, moral manner, maybe little Johnny might decide that he doesn't want to be like that strange man who was laying in a gutter twitching with a needle in his arm.  "Mommy, what's wrong with that man?"  "Well Johnny, he wanted to get high, so he shot himself up with heroin laced with fentanyl, and now he's dying."

If you can talk about drug use and get people to avoid taking drugs, great.  But I'm willing to bet that once people see their friends shuffle off this mortal coil by choking to death on their own vomit they might not be so inclined to buy that K2 or Spice from Shaniqua.

If you want to know whether or not your parish is converged, there are a couple of ways to tell.  The plainest way is simple:  Does your priest(s) hold to tradition, or are they modern?  If they're modern, if they are wishy-washy when it comes to the sacraments, (giving the eucharist to people living in sin, for example), if they try to say "Oh, it's not a gay thing" when 100% of the sexual assaults going on in seminaries are male-on-male, then you can be sure that your parish is in trouble.

What, you never thought of it in those terms?  A Catholic seminary is all men.  We have no female priests.  Therefore, when the bishops are sexually assaulting seminarians it is 100% male-on-male assault.  Tell me again how it's not a gay thing?

We, the laity, have the right to demand that our priests and our bishops serve us faithfully.  And if they refuse to do so, we have the right to withhold our money from the diocese.  Support your local parish by all means, but take your money and turn it towards charity that doesn't allow homosexual rapists to continue their march towards power.

My question for Mueller was, after he hired Strzok for his witch hunt, did they ever talk about how the FBI allowed the four innocent men to languish in prison for 35 years?

Frequently arrested illegal alien kills man by driving over him with an SUV

Borbonio-Olivio had two prescription drugs in his system, had no driver’s license, was speeding more than 10 miles over the speed limit, and was looking at money in his wallet at the time of the crash Saturday, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Herald. 

Borbonio-Olivio tried to flee the crash scene before police arrived, prosecutors said. 

“It is unfathomable how something like this could happen,” said Josh Byrdic, one of Charles Byrdic’s children. “The driver never should have been driving. He was distracted. He had no license. And now we find out he is here illegally.” 

Byrdic, 60, was in his yard around 9:30 a.m. when Borbonio-Olivio ran off the road and hit Byrdic, said Randy Newman, 6th Circuit solicitor. 

Byrdic died at the scene. He was hit so hard that he was knocked out of his shoes and catapulted from the suspect’s SUV, Byrdic’s family said.

Imagine having coffee on a weekend morning, watching your dad do whatever he's doing in the yard, and then having an SUV crush him right out of his shoes.
