Happy Saint Patrick's Day

I've posted that before.  This other one I don't think I have...

Whew!

MoveOn.org - the new KKK

Too much good information NOT to link to it.

I'll note that Rubio finally dropped out of the race.  Probably too late to help Cruz.  At this point I wouldn't be shocked if Trump got the nomination, which then caused the GOP to tear itself apart.

To be honest, I'm not going to shed any tears what so ever if the Republican Party dies.  Not one.  They've brought it on themselves.

Yesterday was a long day

I finally got to bed about half an hour till midnight.

Today is not as long, but still rather long-ish.

Free ice cream later.

I've got some vultures hanging out in the trees outside my house

One - those are some big damn birds.  You never realize it when you see them flying.  Up close, you realize that these aren't some small little birdies.

Two - why MY house, you carrion-eating bastards?  Go find some roadkill or something!

Yeah... same here....

I stole that from here.  The post is NSFW, so careful if you clicky-clicky.

Spring forward.

Friggin' Daylight Savings Time.  "Spring forward" my ass!  Back to running in the dark again.

I can get behind this

Want to teach your kids responsibility?  Get them into 4-H.

I was in 4-H as a kid.  It eventually got me into raising my own pigs.  I started with two.  After the first year, I got four.  We got piglets in spring, I raised them, and they were slaughtered in the fall.  For years after I left home, I could not eat pork from the supermarkets, because it was absolutely foul compared to the pork I raised in high school.

Pork is not a white meat, folks.  Not if it's raised right.

But as the article points out, there's tons of other things 4-H does other than agricultural activities.  It's probably one of the best activities you can get your kids into these days.

There's someone lighting off fireworks in my area right now.

That's actually kind of awesome.  YMMV.

This can be cured by not hiring any Democrats. Ever.

Democrats let veterans die rather than talk to Republicans.

Yep.  Democrats are so invested in their identity of hatred and spite that they'll let folks die for a couple of years before talking to Republicans.

At least the guy in question DID eventually end up talking to a Republican, and managed to get some things done.  But still....  if you ever wondered if Democrats actually hate you or if it's just all talk, let this be a lesson.  They hate you.  They hate you, they hate your guns, they hate your Bible, they hate your values.  They hate you and everything you stand for.

That is the end result of a Marxist ideology, folks.  Hatred and envy.

A rant for the times

Go thee forth and read it.

America’s broken, and it’s not the rabble’s fault. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Who broke America? Smug bureaucrats, smirking media types (print, radio, and TV), condescending professoriate, and detached politicians of both parties broke it.
How did they break America? They broke America by forgetting the most important term of America’s social contract: leave me the fuck alone.

By the time this day ends

I may have something rather....  vroomy.... in the driveway.

We shall see.

I got nothing today

Unpacking more boxes.  Finding more crap broken, then unpack some more.

Enjoy some Whittle.

Clueless morons stunned at reaction to clueless morons

Romney's speech against Trump made Trump's numbers go....  up.

Gosh, who woulda thunk it?

For the Clueless Morons at the GOP:

Having the GOP Establishment Loser who refused to go after B. Hussein Obama come out and attack the front-runner in the GOP primary in a fashion that he never did with the Democrats is a move designed to have voters flock to the person he's attacking.

And only empty-headed, half-witted, slack-jawed, mouth-breathing, out-of-touch, incompetent, stupid, Clueless Morons like the people running the GOP didn't know that.

Thank you, Idaho

For giving Cruz a big win.

Restores my faith is (some) humanity, it does.

The incredibly stupid woman speaks again.

You may remember some years back, when I lived in Wisconsin, that an incredibly stupid woman JoAnne Kloppenburg tried to sue her way onto the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.  I won't rehash the details, I'll just note that the incredibly stupid woman JoAnne Kloppenburg has surfaced yet again.

State Supreme Court candidate Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg may need a refresher in American history.
At a forum with the West Allis Youth Commission, Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley and Judge Kloppenburg were offered up a softball question about who they thought was the most influential president.
Bradley, citing the proximity to Abraham Lincoln's birthday, said the 16th president was the most influential for ending slavery and keeping the country together through the Civil War. Kloppenburg parroted Bradley's praise for Lincoln, but wanted to emphasize the complexity of our nation's leaders.

I'll let you read the rest.  It is amazing to me that someone who sits on a court somehow manages to not grasp a concept that I knew when I was 10 years old.  Liberalism truly is a mental disease.

I heard The Band Perry was going "Pop"

Bad idea, kiddos.  Going "Pop" puts you at the mercy of the same folks who think a slutty Miley Cyrus was a good idea.  Most pop songs are the same crap re-written over and over by the same folks.  There's a reason why pop music is such a wreck these days, and if you buy into it, you're purchasing a spot on the same train wreck.

Don't screw with a good thing, man.

All growth is change, but not all change is growth.

Unpacking

Finally have some time to unpack the house and get rid of all the damn boxes that are stacked up like really big legos all over the house.

In the afternoon I'll try raking up some leaves and making a burn pile.  It's been raining lately, so I don't know how well the leaves are going to burn just yet.  Let 'em dry out a bit and we'll see.

Also going to burn some downed wood from around the property.  I will have my archery range.

Nancy Reagan has died

At the age of 94.  She lived a good, long, full life.  She did more than most of us can dream of.  And of course, she helped her husband rescue this country from the "Great Malaise" that Jimmah Carter put us into, along with the rest of the traitorous Democrats who wanted the USSR to win the Cold War.

So long, Nancy.  Say "Hi" to Ronnie for us.

When I went to the Reagan Library, one of the things that hit me emotionally was the letters and telegrams that Ronald wrote to Nancy before he was in politics.  There was plenty of humor, but through it all shown a deep and abiding love that he had for her.

They were a political couple who loved each other and didn't stray.  Try finding THAT in D.C.  It almost never happens.

Hot. Diggity. Dog.

Big night for Cruz last night.  That's the sort of thing that makes me happy.

Cruz got 64 delegates yesterday, Trump got 49.  I like that math.

Worked all yesterday.  Working all today.  Taking next week to put my house together in some sort of order, as we still have boxes laying about and things have unpacked.  I've been going like gang-busters since I got here, and haven't had time to actually DO anything around the house.

The Mrs has been civilizing the house.  Curtains and things like that, so that I don't scare the hell out of someone driving down the road when I walk out of the bedroom nekkid and scratching myself inappropriately.

Watch what folks DO, not what they SAY.

Kinda like in basketball.  Back when I was a "yout", I was a pretty decent defender.  Sucked at shooting the ball, but could keep people away from the paint like nobody's business.  Because I never watched the hands, or the eyes of the guy with the ball.  I watched his hips.

They can head fake all day long.  They can wave their hands around like a mime if they wish.  When their hips started to turn, I knew they were moving and what direction, and I kept on them like a tick on a dog.

So what's this about?  How about this:  February's gun sales were enough to arm every police officer and Soldier in the USA.  (They're using "Soldier" as a catch-all phrase, what they're trying to say is "every single military member of every branch)

It is not only possible, but probably, that the total number of gun sales in February exceeded three million.
According to the Department of Defense, there are 2,083,100 military service personnel, including active duty, Guard, and Reserve units. According the FBI’s most recent (2014) data, there are 627,949 sworn law enforcement officers, for a total of just over 2.7 million military and sworn police personnel in the United States today.

Folks ain't buying these guns because they feel all comfy and safe with the direction this country is headed.  They're buying them because they think that sometime real soon, someone's going to attempt to stop them from buying any more.

Get ammo too, folks.
