I wasn't a three percenter last year

But I think I am today, because I can't find a single thing wrong with this speech.

Found at TSM.

The Arizona Illegal Immigration Bill

Out-Fucking-Standing.

Do I think it'll stand as it's currently written?  Probably not.  It's a direct slap in the face of the Federal Government, but one that the FedGov has been needing for years now.  I'm certain that the FedGov is going to challenge the law in court, and if they push hard enough they'll probably win that suit.  BUT, in the course of doing so, they are going to expose themselves to the fact that the Federal Government has been criminally negligent in it's duties to protect it's citizens.  And that'll open up a whole host of problems for the FedGov, most of which they would most likely not want exposed.

Arizona for the win!

Next up for AZ?  Replacing Juan McCain, the faux "maverick", unless "maverick" really stands for "person who will stab his voting base in the back so he can get good cred with liberal douchebags in the media."  Because if that's what "maverick" means, then baby he's good!

A must read

Go forth, and consume knowledge.  And remember folks, half the reason people say "I don't have time to cook" is because A) they've been conditioned to think that they don't have that time by the marketers, and B) they're too busy making the money they need to buy the pre-made, fat-loaded, preservative-filled, artery-clogging, heart attack-inducing food/not-food they're eating.

If people actually took a little bit of time, they would be eating better than they ever imagined, and spending less than they think.

Life

Kinda like this right now:

Only without the applause.

But I can't complain too much.  There's boys in Afghanistan who would willingly trade me places.  Which I find rather humorous, since I fought so hard to get to Afghanistan, and there's people in my office trying as hard as they can to get over there.

Is it a case of "The grass is always greener on the other side", or does office and admin work suck just as much as I thought?  Because I'm of the opinion that office work is only slightly less torturous as the fifth circle of hell.

Back

From business.  We're entering my crazy period now, so I might have a few more unexplained absences.

That's life.

extended uninsurance benefits realized

I went into my dentists office today to check on a few things and got to talking with the Office Manager. It turns out that my little dentist office with only 5 employees has seen 10 unemployment rate hikes in the last quarter. These hikes have taken their unemployment payments from a mere $70 to $700 dollars. They have not laid anyone off. They keep their rates low. They are a good office that takes military and children's medicaid. They would love to take more, but then they would lose money on salaries.

This business has done nothing to add to the unemployment crisis and they are being penalized for it.

Imagine the cost for business with more than 5 employees....

Where the hell is Dave?

Dave is travelling.  And Dave is busy as a one-armed paperhanger.  And Dave didn't even have time or computer access to post this weekend.  So you can expect a little bit more from Dave now, but not much.

Just so ya know.

Two real voices

I don't know about you, but I'm a little sick of all the digitized voices I hear in music today.  Half the reason I can't stand modern R&B is the fact that the voices I'm hearing don't belong to the people on stage.  They belong to a computer, and the people on stage are just a set of tits or a mouth to put that computer's voice into.

Well, here's two guys who would rather slit their own throats than allow some jackass to run their voice through a computer to make it "sound better".

Enjoy.

Sigh

Proof that the military top leadership in this country is a bunch of politically correct, pansy-assed, limp-wristed pieces of shit.

The Pentagon will adopt a broad policy governing how privately owned guns can be carried or stored at military installations following the shooting deaths of 13 people last year at Fort Hood, Texas.
A disgruntled Army doctor is charged in the deaths.
Maj. Nidal Hasan had little or no access to military firearms in his job as a psychologist, but was able to buy two handguns and bring them onto the base.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates ordered this week that a new comprehensive policy be developed to cover all branches of the military and its bases and offices. The standardized policy would replace or buttress a patchwork of regulations adopted by each service or individual military installation.

Does that mean that Soldiers will actually be allowed to carry their guns on post?

The new policy is expected to mirror restrictions already in place at some military installations that, for example, require guns brought onto a base to be registered with military police.

Right.  So the problem isn't that Army brass stepped all over their dick and allowed a radical jihadist to attain the rank of Major before he finally shot people while yelling "Allahu Ackbar", the problem is guns.

Gotcha.  Gates, you're a fucking spineless pussified bitch.  And d'ya like how the news story calls Hasan a "disgruntled Army doctor"?  DISGRUNTLED.  Yeah, that's the ticket!  They're not terrorists, they're just DISGRUNTLED.

When the Army leadership shows that they're nothing but pathetic pants-wetting hoplophobes, what chance does the military have?  I have a few stories in this subject that deserve their own blog post, but they'll get posted later.  In the meantime, I'm going to go contemplate the insanity of military leadership that doesn't trust Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, or Coasties to have guns.

My high blood pressure brought to you today by RNS.

Keep hitting them

I see that we've been effective.  When the Marxist Messiah begins to mock you in public, you're hitting him where it hurts.  When the President makes fun of people who are so pissed off that they're gathering in groups of 10,000 or more, you're dealing with a tone-deaf ideologue who can only be removed, not "talked to", not "worked with".

Don't stop.  Keep hitting, keep hammering him and his cohort of communist congresscritters.  Do not ever stop, not once.  If you stop you will lose.

Let me quote to you one of America's greatest generals - Patton

"I don't want to get any messages saying, "I am holding my position." We are not holding a Goddamned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy's balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!"

Going to a Tea Party

Bring a camera.  Bring a still camera, a video camera, bring every camera that you have.  Videotape and photograph every Leftist thug who tries to disrupt you.  If you've got a digital camera, take the biggest memory card you have and bring all your extras.

Lefists, like mold and cockroaches, hate being exposed.

Tying in with my post from yesterday

Where I talk about how ARNPs get stiffed just as bad as the doctors do with Medicare.  Now add this to it - Doctors going Galt.

Last month, a urologist in Florida told patients that he’d prefer ObamaCare supporters go elsewhere for treatment.  Today, a dermatologist in Arizona warns that he’ll be elsewhere if ObamaCare comes fully into law.  Joseph Scherzer says the penalties for dealing with Medicare patients, along with more top-down government control of health care, will drive him to close his doors:

Most medical clinics do business with Medicare because they have to, not because they want to.  Only under Obamacare, it'll shut them down because doctors won't be able to recoup their losses by charging their patients with private insurance, simply because after a few years under Obamacare those patients will no longer exist.

Under Obamacare, you'll have your FREE medical coverage, but you won't be able to find a doctor who will cover you.  Which is pretty much just the same as not having your FREE medical coverage.  Welcome to the brave new world!  Have you bought your book on herbal remedies yet?  You're going to need it.

I'm Proud to be a Teabagger!

Obama's Brownshirts...

Dissent is only patriotic when it involves attacking Republicans...

Sondra K: teh plotte thickens
The guy who started the CrashTheTeaparty thingy has been found out (by radio host Lars Larson) to be a Beaverton, OR HS teacher, one Jason Levin. Lars talked to him off-the-air earlier today but he wouldn’t go on Lars’ show because he was afraid he would be fired. The principal, school board head, etc also wimped out and wouldn’t go on the show. Heh.

The guy didn’t cover his tracks fast enough, though, and somebody looked at the source code of his totally non-hateful [cough] website and discovered he’d made the site on school time and equipment…
Michelle Malkin : Alinsky’s Avenging Angels: Tea Party Saboteurs
JWF flags a corporate hospitality executive announcing his plans to “crash the Boston Tea Party of retards.” And in New Hampshire, the state Democrats are enlisting liberal activists to sabotage Tea Party Tax Day events...
...
It’s the Alinsky way.
JammieWearingFool : 'She Is Absolutely Obsessed With Painting the Tea Party People as Racists'
Is this the best you Democrats can do? If you think about it for a second, if Tea Partiers were the racists they're being portrayed as, then why would these sneaky Democrats have to bus people in to pretend to be racist Tea Partiers? Taken further, why would Democrats know how to be "racist"? Does it just come natural to them?
Gregory of Yardale : Democrats Seeking to Sabotage Tea Parties.
In New Hampshire, the former chairwoman of the state Democrat Party is recruiting saboteurs to show up at Tea Parties.
Former Democratic State Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan ... has been calling and e-mailing liberal activists trying to get them to attend tea parties in different parts of the state and hold signs denying the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate and make racially disparaging comments to reporters.
A birth certificate McCain provided and that Barack Hussein Obama could've provided... were he not intent on spending millions of dollars preventing it's disclosure.

Your musical post for today

Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain

Kind of appropriate for a discussion about government-run health care, I think.  My only problem right now is trying to figure out if that bell at the end symbolizes our victory over the tyrants, or if they symbolize the church bell ringing at our funeral.

It's one or the other.

As an aside, I think this is one of the best examples of story-telling through music I have ever heard.  If you can't see the back-and-forth of the elements clashing with each other as you listen to this, then you've probably been exposed to too much modern crap, laughingly called "music".

There's nothing wrong with ARNP's

Allahpundit takes issue with having more ARNP's fill the roles of family care doctors.  That's not the problem.  Most if not all ARNP's have multiple years of experience behind them as regular nurses, and then they add advanced degrees on top of that.  When it comes to your yearly checkup or "Hey, what's this rash?" visits, an ARNP is fully qualified to check you out.

Here's the problem that Allahpundit just barely begins to touch on:

That might not be a bad thing if nurses are up to the task, but if they’re getting paid the same Medicare rates that doctors used to get paid and doctors are increasingly getting higher rates due to there being more specialists, well, you do the budgetary math.

ARNP's get the same rate of reimbursement as doctors do.  So while they charge less, they get paid less.  I can tell you right now that Medicare and Tricare are losing propositions for any ARNP.  Not only do they get paid less than from private insurance companies, but they have to do more work in order to get paid.  When I worked at the Hospital, we had to hire a separate staff just to deal with the government forms and bureaucracy that goes along with Medicare.  Between the two people, it was over $100,000 in salary just to deal with the government.  You want to know where the high cost of health care comes from?  THAT is a huge part of it.  As with damn near everything else, the government is the problem, not the solution.  As Allahpundit points out, doctors have been refusing new Medicare patients due to Medicare rates.  This ain't anything new, folks.  Most doctors can only carry so many Medicare patients on their rolls without going out of business.  This is old news.  What most people don't know is that ARNP's or Physician Assistants who have their own medical clinics are also turning away new Medicare patients for exactly the same reason - they can't deal with Medicare patients and keep the doors open.

In short, the government can't even run the socialized medicine program it had in place.  And now they're going to take over the entire health care system in America and run it the same way.  That slamming sound you hear is your doctor's office door, closing and getting locked permanently.  Enjoy!  Might I suggest picking up a book of medicinal herbs and studying it rather well?  Because that's what we're going back to.

And just because

Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d minor

I happen to think that this is one of the most beautiful, haunting pieces of music ever written.  The wife can't stand it.  So every now and then when she's not home, I blast it as loud as I can.

She's reading this right now, and going "WTF, Dave?"

Sorry honey!

Uhhhhh... Pardon me, Sen Leiberman,

But the reason it sounds so Orwellian is because Obama is a fucking communist, and both 1984 and Animal House were written to expose the evils of communism.

Maybe if we had a real commander in chief instead of that fucking spineless, limp-dicked Marxist in the White House, we would simply go kick some ass instead of change words around and bow to dictators the world over.

Now THAT'S funny!

Congress may have written themselves right out of their high-falutin' health care.

That's six different kinds of awesome, wrapped up in a tear-inducing clusterfuck.  If Congress didn't even know what they were doing to themselves, how can they claim that they know what the bill will do to us?

Just how pathetic can you get?

OK, what's a word that means both funny AND pathetic?  We need it here.

Porn Star running for Congress as a Republican?

Stormy Daniels is her....  um....  STAGE name.  Yeah.

Personally, if we're going to get fucked by our politicians, then maybe it's time we have one that can make it fun for us.

Yet another hit by the Leftist Media

Dan Riehl catches them bare-assed again.  Not like it'll make them stop, but it's more ammunition for you to use when the time comes.

And remember, professional journalists are so much better than the pajama-clad hordes because of those multiple layers of fact-checkers and editors!  Uh huh!  Because an editor said so!  Yeppers!

*vomits*

Sorry, I can't even pretend to be that mentally deficient.
