Went to the range today - got an invite from a co-worker who's a range safety officer at a local range.  Had plenty of time to sit down and get the sights dialed in.  Also had a steel plate target system, which allowed me to focus on accuracy AND time.  Yee haw!

Just an observation, you can get a steel plate to fall with 3-4 hits from a 22LR.

Now I need to buy more ammo.  That Ruger carbine will blow through a box of ammo pretty darn quick.  And it's so much fun....

I know my parents weren't happy with me way back in the Dark Ages when I graduated high school, but looking back at my life I consider my choice to skip college and enlist in the Army to be the best choice I could have made.

We made 20 pounds of sausage today

So yeah, been a bit busy.  Bratwurst, Sweet Italian, Kielbasa and a beef sausage that we're experimenting with.  The beef sausage came out awesome, if I may say so myself.  The key is hot paprika.

Yesterday was a whole lot of cleaning, shopping and getting rid of things.  It's been a busy weekend.  Also got a sourdough starter started, so hopefully by next weekend I can make some sourdough bread.

I'm making a tool bag for my motorcycle.  I've dyed the leather black and green, although the green is so dark you won't be able to tell the difference unless it's in bright light.  Still got a ways to go on that.

More and more doctors, once they get established, are starting medical clinics that are cash on the barrel.  Payment for services rendered, and insurance can piss off.  Trust me, if my choice was going through a doc and waiting, and still paying $500 for the deductible, or just walking into this clinic and paying $100 less?  I'm walking in.

I have picked five examples of Obama's allies being protected from justice in various ways by his administration that Democrats didn’t give a hoot about… and when you read them, you’ll understand why.

Let's face the facts, shall we?  We no longer live in a country guided by the rule of law.  The rule of law no longer matters, as proven by the fact that Hillary Clinton is still a free woman despite her felonies, the FBI agents who lied on the FISA applications and lied directly to a FISA judge's face are not being prosecuted, the people who lied about RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA and then lied about Ukraine are not being prosecuted, the people who aided and abetted in the corruption in Ukraine are not being prosecuted, the NSC apparatchiks who spent three years lying to the President and undermining his foreign policy are not being prosecuted, and the examples keep going on.

Every time you turn over a rock, you find a Democrat committing crimes and getting away with it, because the people running the show don't want their friends to get in trouble.  But Roger Stone gets the book thrown at him, complete with a SWAT team dragging him out of his house, over what, again?  Lying to the FBI?  All the FBI does is lie, directly, to everybody's face, but gosh, don't you dare make one little mis-step to them or it's nine years in the slammer!  Yeah, Roger Stone's prosecution isn't poltiical at all, is it?  Sorry, my eyes rolled so hard they fell out and are on the kitchen floor now.

So now the Democrats are screaming about how four of their political hitman goon allies are resigning from the DOJ, and screaming that DJT is somehow perverting justice.

Even if that was the case, which it is not, I wouldn't really care.  I don't care about it because the concept of justice no longer holds any weight at the Federal level.  The Democrats destroyed that concept, and they continue burying its corpse on a daily basis.  

There is no such thing as Justice at the federal level anymore.  The Democrats killed it.  Maybe, just maybe, after a sufficient number of Democrat criminals are in jail, I'll believe in justice once again.  But for right now, it doesn't exist, and DJT could hang Democrats from lamp-posts up and down Pennsylvania Avenue and I wouldn't blink an eye.  The Democrats have done their best to destroy the rule of law.  They don't get to whine and snivel about the law anymore.

New Computer problems

Like....  a touch-screen.  Who the hell puts a touch-screen on a computer?  Why can't I get a laptop without a touch-screen?  Who the hell puts their grubby, greasy paws on a touch-screen when you have a mouse or track pad or whatever they use as an interface these days?

I went to wipe a smudge off my screen and the damn thing flipped to the next webpage.  Took me a bit to figure out why, and to find out that I even had one of these things.

Seriously, why the hell would you put a touch-screen on a computer?  Were there not enough fecal bacteria on your phone, and so you have to spread your disease in a new way?

Seriously, at that point, he should have been done and over.  But the media is looking at Bernie Sanders coming down on them like a freight train and the DNC is tied to the tracks, and they're desperately trying to make Joe Biden into a thing again.  Sanders isn't just a disaster waiting to happen to this country, he's a disaster for the DNC.  With him at the top of the ticket shouting at clouds and promising free puppies that everyone else will pay for, he'll suck up plenty of votes from San FranFreakShow and New York City (currently the home of Comrade Willhelm, aka Bill DeBlasio) but voters in a lot of purple states are going to run away from him like he's Satan himself.  And the DNC knows it.  But the DNC has been sucking commie cock for so long that they can't just toss him aside without losing half their voting base.  Hell, the commies ARE the DNC, and everybody knows it.  Nancy Pelosi holds the title of Speaker of the House, but she's just a sundowning alcoholic at this point.  The real power is held by A.O.C. and the squad, as proven by the Democrat's headlong fling into the shampeachment.  Nancy didn't want that.  Even her wine-soaked, botox-paralyzed brain knew that shampeachment was a bad idea.  But A.O.C. and her crew wanted it, so they got it, because Pelosi is nothing but a washed-up commie desperately trying to hold on to her power and the millions of dollars her corruption brings her, so she caved.

Lie-a-watha finished fourth, just a few points ahead of Creepy Joe.  Petey Butt-plug finished second, but we'll see how he does in the South.  I'd say there's no way in hell the USA would elect an inexperienced homosexual child of communists and Marxists who was raised in an environment soaked in America hatred, but we already did.  He just happened to be black, so that got the vote of the black community.

Get out and vote.  Remember, Trump doesn't just have to beat the Democrat who's running, he also has to beat the massive amounts of voter fraud that will be going on.  The Democrats got caught with their pants down in 2016 when they thought they had the election won, so they didn't push as hard on the fraud as they could have.  They won't make that mistake again.

There's a part of my job that requires I schedule training events

For anywhere from 50-100 people, depending on the units involved.  So not huge, not thousand-person events, but let's take a gander at some numbers, shall we?

Let's say I wanted to put on a training event in Portland, OR.  Just a hypothetical situation.

Training events for the USAR are mostly held in the summer time.  It's when kids are out of school, obligations are lower, so you can actually get Soldiers to an event.  Summertime per diem for Portland is $192 for lodging, $61 for meals, and $5 for incidentals.  That's per day.  So that's $258 per day, per person.

Going with my last training event that I held, we can assume 60-70 attendees.  Again, this is a rough number, but it gives you an idea.  So that's $15,480 - $18,060 being spent just on lodging and food.  And that's just for the attendees, not the staff, instructors, and various other costs.  And that's PER DAY.  Most of my training events are four days.  So the total amount of money being spent is $61,920 to $72,240.

That's a lot of money.  And again, that's not travel costs, or car rentals, or any other costs.  That's just one factor that I have to figure out when I'm holding an event.

But rest assured, there is not a single reason in the world why I would ever hold a training event in a shithole like Portland.  Portland used to be beautiful.  It is now a stinking, feces-ridden shithole populated by garbage people, run by garbage people, and controlled by fascist garbage.  I won't ever hold a training event in that shithole garbage city, because I'm not going to risk my people being assaulted by the screaming mobs that control the place.

You couldn't pay me to visit Portland.  Why the hell would I want to spend money there?

Proving the opposite

I don't look at AOC's degree and go "Wow, she must be so smart!"  I look at her degree and ask "How in the hell did a woman with the IQ of naval lint graduate cum laude, and what the hell is wrong with that school?"

Any education system that can produce someone as staggeringly stupid as Ocasio-Cortez is doing something wrong. Taxpayers are paying good money and getting dismal results.

I have long stopped being impressed by a fancy university degree, and now I'm simply disgusted at how horrible our education system has become.  That AOC is walking around with a degree in economics, and yet still doesn't understand how unemployment percentages are calculated, is a stunning indictment of Boston University and it's entire Economics department.  I bet her cum laude had a lot more to do with the cum than the laude, IYKWIMAITYD.

Is that crude and rude?  Good.  Because the other option is she got high honors due to a complete and total collapse of any standards formerly held at what used to be a prestigious university.

How Refreshing

Trump is proposing a budget plan that would balance the budget in fifteen years.

Anyone remember when Republicans used to care about a balanced budget?  Remember when the Republican party made statements every year about how we were plunging headlong into debt that we couldn't recover from?

Of course, it was all words.  When they had the House, Senate and White House in 2004, what did they do with it?  Spend, spend, spend, baby!  And Obama made them look like a piker with his spending, but by then they had stopped all pretense of passing a budget and just rammed through massive, bloated Continuing Resolutions every year.

Paul Ryan put the nail in that particular coffin, when he bent over and sucked Obama's dick like a good little pussy when he became Speaker of the House.  And even after Trump got elected in 2016, Paul Ryan refused to put forth a budget, or even have a fight about the budget, even with Republican control of Congress and the Presidency.

I honestly believe that this is part of the reason the Republicans lost control of the House in 2018.  Why the hell should any R get support when all the do is act like a D?  When Trump was elected, how many bills were ready to go for his signature when he sat down in the White House?

None.  Zip, zilch, zero.  Budget?  Ha!  Reform bills?  Ha!  Anything that actually pushes forward a common-sense conservative agenda?  HA!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  I don't know if the Democrats had photos of Paul Ryan in compromising positions or what, but he did everything they wanted him to do, while shafting the Republicans who put him in his position.  He's gone now, far too late.  Same with Jeff Flake.  Same with John F'n Boehner.  Granny Rictus McWinebox is in control, at least until Election 2020.  We'll see what happens then.  Maybe we'll get people who actually care about representing the voters in office.

Maybe Trump can actually get them to do their jobs.  Maybe that's just a dream.

Well, the new computer works

I'm still getting used to the keyboard, and transitioning back to Windows from a MacBook, but I'm able to get things done again.  Which is why I sorta went radio silent on the weekend, as I furiously got my homework done after losing a week.

I still don't have any of my photos, documents or anything else like that.  As far as I know, it's all gone.  Kaput.  Blown away.  Eh.  I can't say I'm too broken up about that.

I need more coffee.

Got a doctor's appointment for the foot today.  That damn bone I broke in 2018 isn't getting any better, and I had a flare-up a couple of weeks ago.  We'll see what the doc can do about it, if anything.  The doctor in Mississippi told me that it was just something that people have to put up with, because there were no good options.  Running is getting to be problematic with it, but we'll see what the doctor says.  Taking the bone out entirely is an option, but that's surgery, and dammit, I don't have time for walking around in a cast or a boot.

Here's a little experiment for you.  Go take a gander at how many of your local hospitals have a saint's name in there somewhere, or how many end in "Presbyterian" or "Methodist" or "Lutheran".  Those organizations were running hospitals for everyone, long before the government decide to financially rape everybody with a job.  Many of them continue to do the Lord's work despite the governmental interference, because it is what God has called them to do.  Little Sisters of the Poor, anyone?

The government is not charity, because the government takes your money against your will and uses it for whatever the corrupt and powerful wish to use it on, which leads to the government using tax dollars of Christians to pay for abortion on demand through Planned Parenthood, which uses some of that money to pay off politicians, who then make sure that Planned Baby-Parts-For-Cash gets even more money.  That is not charity.

Charity cannot be forced.  Charity that is forced on a person is simply theft with a fancy hat.  If you stick a gun in my face and take all my money, and then give that money to a single mother in Detroit, IT IS STILL THEFT.  In order for Charity to exist, it must be given freely out of a person's understanding of God's love and God's will.  That means that government programs can never be, and will never be, charity.  Charity is the supernatural love of God, expressed through his followers here on earth.  It is not yet another government hand-out.

I cannot believe that a topic this simple would get skipped in seminary, so I'm forced to conclude that Jorge the Commie Sodomite knows this simple fact, and choses to ignore it in favor of the santanic, ungodly ideology that he worships instead of worshiping the one true God and savior.

Folks, the Democrats prove they hate America.  They hate you.  They don't want freedom-loving individuals, they want government-dependent little slaves.  They want to turn the entire country into a mix of Baltimore and Venezuela.  Don't take my word for it.  Look at what they're doing.

Although with the snow in the mountains, I can just sweep the driveway as long as my neighbor hasn't salted it like he's a sumo wrestler and the driveway is the most important tourney of his life.

I noticed that a lot of people seem to do that.  Throw salt like it's going out of style.  The problem with that is all it does is melt the snow, and then when it re-freezes you get a layer of ice with snow on top.  Not good for cars or people.  I shovel his sidewalk quite a bit when I have time, just to keep him from throwing salt on top of snow.  I shovel my other neighbor's walk as well, but that's just because she's in her 90's and doesn't need to be running a shovel up and down the sidewalk.  Not if I can help it, anyways.

Also, if you have to throw salt, a mix of salt and sand does wonders for your tires gripping.  Some of you Southern people will have no clue what I'm talking about.  Some of you Northern people are going to wonder why I use a shovel when there's snowblowers and plows available.  It ain't that serious.
