And I'm back

And I love my wife, I really really do.

My wife comes from a family that won't use a single nail when a dozen nails will do.  Because it might come loose.  And there was room, right there, don't you see it?

So we've had a few rodent problems.  The previous tenants weren't exactly the greatest, there were a few issues we cleaned up, and it's an older house.  It's getting colder, and the furry little bastards were coming inside.

So my wife looks up ways to keep mice out, and sees that mothballs will tend to drive them out because they don't like the smell.

So my dear, loving wife buys a big ass bag of moth balls, finds a couple spots under the kitchen cabinets that the mice have used, and shoves them in there.

All of them, from what I can tell.

My house smells like a public urinal right now.  I'm going to drill through the baseboards tomorrow and vacuum all those mothballs out.

*tap*tap*tap* Is this thing on?

Sorry 'bout the hiatus, folks.  I got immersed in my job for just a little bit.  Your normal programming will resume shortly.

The Anal Polyp known as Colin Kaepernick is back in the news. %$#@!

Apparently this turd blossom is putting on a work-out.  And predictably, every sports "reporter" has purchased a 55 gallon drum of Astroglide for the amount of masturbating they are going to do over the next week.

I'm in a hotel room right now.  Flipping through channels, there were five different ESPN channels all orgasming over Colin Kaepernick.

Fox Sports?  Not as orgasmic, but still lots of joy-juice on set.

If every sports "reporter" got fired today, I would be popping champagne tonight.

I knew this. You knew this. Anyone with half a brain knew this.

Legal vaping did not cause all the problems that hysterical idiots want to associate with vaping.

Look, e-cigs have been a thing since about what...  2011?  Maybe earlier?  So if vaping and e-cigs were suddenly causing lung damage, we would have seen it in 2012.  But it's 2019.  And I'm willing to bet that the kids who have been showing up with lung damage weren't vaping back in 2011.

Nope.  This isn't about vaping, really.  It's about black-market THC cartridges, and the vitamin E oil used make them.

I'm willing to bet, right here and now, that not one single legitimate vape or e-cig manufacturer can be linked to the lung damage that people are freaking about today.

So far, investigators have determined that most cases appear to be associated with the use of vaping products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Many of the injured also reported using counterfeit or black-market products containing THC, notably those marketed as "Dank Vapes."

"Most cases".  Try "All cases".  Again, not one single legitimate vape or e-cig manufacturer has had any link to the lung injuries being reported.  And I don't even vape, folks.  I don't use e-cigs.  But I'm a little sick of seeing brainless idiots howling about how vaping is evil when it's not.  Not one single Juul user is keeling over.

But kids getting high on black market crap are doing so.  Go figure.

The FedGov has seminars on "Forest Bathing". They actually spend money on this.

And in the meantime the Commanding General of the USAR has to tell his commands to stop traveling because they don't have the money.  But we gots bills for Forest Bathing?!

Federal employees across the government have been attending “mindfulness” retreats, complete with “forest bathing” and lectures by Soros-funded speakers. These events started during the Obama administration but have continued, even as recently as a United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service “Mindfulness and Resiliency Summit” in August of 2019.

How many military members would that money train?

How many IOUs that the FedGov is printing would that money cover?

Shit like this is why people hate the government.  You're wasting other people's money on FOREST BATHING?  Let hippies pay for that shit on their own.

Veteran's Day

And I'm brain-dead.  I got nothing.  No fancy words, no speech.

I truly hope and pray that America doesn't squander the blessings provided by the sacrifices of millions of men in uniform.

The entire house smells like Andouille.

Smoked it yesterday for about six hours, with pecan wood.  We have about ten pounds of it sitting in the fridge waiting to be portioned up and put into freezer bags.  It's like ham in a casing, only better.  And it makes the entire house smell wonderful.  We'll cut it into one pound portions, so we can make red beans and rice, and soups, and gumbo.

The Mrs. has two hams that are going to get smoked sometime soon.  They've been salted and aging.  Time to put some smoke on 'em.  Christmas is going to taste awesome this year.

Got the meat all cut up and seasoned

Gonna grind it up this morning, stuff it into casings, and then smoke it for about six hours with pecan.  While the meat is smoking with pecan wood, I will be smoking with a Padron my brother sent me for my birthday a while ago.

The Mrs will be doing some running around, apparently.  Got things to purchase for the house, like small canning lids.  My extent of going outside the house is to the backyard to feed the smoker.

As for me, other than a shower to make me feel better, I'm not doing a damn thing I don't want to do.

By the way, Epstein didn't kill himself, and modern "journalism" is nothing but socialist propaganda pushed out by the foulest examples of humanity that can be put on air.

I feel like a can of smashed assholes right now

Four weeks in a row caught up to me yesterday.  I'm thinking about a nice hot epsom salt bath today.

And then off to buy pork to make andouille and brats and Italian sausage.  Because hell with laying around.

The Stupid Party Loses Again

If you don't run a candidate against the National Socialist Democrat Workers Party, how can you expect to win?  Hell, how can you expect that people even know they have a choice?

Republicans slammed Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey A. Kincaid, a Democrat, for ending an agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last year but wound up not running anyone against her in Tuesday's election.

When I was stationed in Richmond, I would listen to the political talk radio while I drove to work.  Well, on the days I wasn't riding to work.  And my takeaway about the Virginia GOP then was that they were a bunch of establishment RINOs who cared more about getting into the right cocktail parties than winning elections.

Lotsa never-Trumpers in VA, donchaknow.  Hardly surprising given that Northern Virginia is essentially D.C. suburbs, filled with various parasites, marxists, deep-state workers and other people detrimental to the continuation of the United States of America.

But I recall the 2016 primaries, and the VA GOP hated Trump.  The voters loved him, but the party establishment hated him.

So they haven't recovered from that, it seems.  Nor have they made any improvements.  The Virginia GOP is what happens when blue-bloods from Richmond morph into "Upper Class Twits of the Year".

And now Virginia is fucked.

Why are sports writers such marxist idiots?

In this case, their wistful masturbation about Colin Kaepernick, that Castro-loving, America hating one-trick pony of a quarterback.

Every time you turn around, there's another article being written by a do-nothing, know-nothing idiot who works for some "sports" journal or another, wondering why Kaepernick isn't hired, or blaming racism for Kaepernick not playing, or some other worthless bullshit like that.  None of this makes me think any better of Kaepernick at all.  Instead, I now regard sports reporters as some of the lowest journalistic pond scum.  The same people who howled and screamed at Tim Tebow for being a Christian are the people howling and screaming at the fact that nobody wants to hire a locker-room cancer who defenses figured out years ago.

"Oh, but he's totally a starting QB, Dave!"  Really?  That's why he got benched?  Defenses figured out that he can't throw on the run, and his default action is to run when there's a teeny bit of pressure in the pocket.  So you assign one guy to flush him out, another guy to run him down, and keep your secondary awake to pick up the wounded ducks he would float as he was running.

He was never a great quarterback.  He was just a stupid idiot who could run, and now that he's even older than he was, he can't run as fast as he used to.  But he hates America, and he loves to call this country racist, so sports "writers" slobber all over his afro and wonder why he doesn't have a job.

And no, I'm still not watching the NFL.  I'm just sick of seeing yet another garbage article about this particular dumb-assed piece of shit.

They all knew

They all knew that Jeffery Epstein was a pedo, and his pals were screwing little girls on Pedo Island.

Anytime some walking garbage bag full of shit tries to yak on about how Republicans somehow are at fault for sexual assault, just remember that THEY ALL KNEW.

They knew about Epstein, and Clinton, and all his Democrat pals.

They knew about Harvey Weinstein, and his rapes and sexual assaults.

They knew about Clinton, and his rapes and sexual assaults.

They all knew.  And they did nothing.  And now they're trying to blame you, and me, and every other decent person for the crimes that they committed, or that they helped cover up and ignore.

THEY ALL KNEW.

Damn, I'm tired.

We're past three weeks in a row and working on four.  I damn near bit the head off of someone in the airport last night just for standing too dang close to the baggage carousel, because I couldn't even see my bags coming around.  Do we need to stand right at the edge of the carousel like cattle at a feed trough, hmm?  Apparently, yes.  And people also need to stand in the aisles, re-assembling their crap that they could have been re-assembling for ten minutes while the plane was taxiing to the gate, but no, that would have been to hard, so let's be mouth-breathers and hold everyone up while you rediscover basic motor control.  It's not like I've been cramped in this fucking sardine can for three and half hours.  I certainly don't need to use the latrine at all, no.  Just go ahead and take your time in the middle of the aisle.  Everybody else appreciates it!

Gah.  I bit my tongue so hard last night, on so many occasions, that I might not be able to talk today.

So....

Columbus, OH is a very nice town.  Other than that university there.

Yeah.  I've been busy.  Sorry!

It was a little cold here in Utah.

Given that this is my first winter here, I wasn't prepared for the sheer amount of hysteria over sub-freezing temperatures.  I mean, it's high desert, folks.  We're just on the other border of IDAHO, which in case you don't know is kinda northern.  Most of this state is above 3000 feet in elevation, with my current patch of land more in the 4000 foot range.

So, it gets cold from time to time.

You'd think they would expect it.

My mom was warning me in August that it was going to be colder than normal.  The horse's coats were already coming in thick back then.

Anyways, we didn't have many trick-or-treaters because it was "cold".  We even set up coffee and hot cocoa for the adults.  The few that showed up greatly appreciated it.  Maybe we and the Mrs. are just weird, but it really wasn't that cold.  Talk to me in January.

Sure, let's just take one step closer to Civil War

It's not enough that the House voted to do some sort of impeachment thingy (but not real impeachment because then there would be actual rules instead of the Soviet style horse-shit that the Democrats are pulling).  I mean, the Left has been screaming about impeachment ever since that drunk felon Hillary Clinton lost the election they'd spent billions trying to purchase.  No, the Democrats had to prove how much they hate America and the rule of Law by ensuring that their show trials were established in such a way, with "rules" so contrary to fairness, that even Mao would stare in astonishment.

We Normal Americans understand that if the Democrats were given a choice, they would impose that same style of Marxist rule on us as well.  They don't just hate Trump.  Trump is a figurehead, a stand-in.  They hate us.  They hate Normal Americans, patriots, and anyone who actually still believes in the rule of law vs. the rule of man.  They hate YOU, because you refuse to bow down to them.

We shall see how many people wake up to that fact.

Just a quick Linky Love this morning

Two pieces, written by different people, that tie together.

First, the "whistleblower" on Trump's Ukraine call is a DNC hack.  This is why the National Socialist Democrat Worker's Party was trying to keep him anonymous, because now that people know who he is and what he's done, what's left of his credibility just got shot down the drains.

And in that spirit, here's the second piece:  A transnational elite racing its way towards revolution.  The people who run Washington D.C. don't know you, and they don't want to know you.  They don't like you.  They hate you.  Which is why every major decision they have made pre-Trump destroyed just a little bit more of America.

Anyways, I'm off.  Go read.

Nancy Pelosi's Illegitimate Sham.

It should come as no surprise that the people who loath the US constitution and hate America, and by extension good, honest Americans, would come up with this kind of Soviet-style circus to try to remove a duly elected President.

What's even more worrisome is the fact that Nancy Pelosi's supporters are either so corrupt they don't care about her anti-American activities, or so stupid they don't know what's going on in the first place.

When good people get punched in the face

Sarah Hoyt describes the moment the Left made her break.

Through more than fifty years of seeing slander perpetrated against anyone who disagreed with the establishment, particularly when the establishment was the result of the long march, I thought — like an idiot — that of course they would attack our taste, our intelligence, our writing. I never thought they’d go political. Much less that they’d accuse us of motives that made absolutely no sense whatsoever.  Which of course they did, in the international press.  (And btw US slander laws suck.)
And then it all became political.  And the shock — and honestly a shock that broke something in me, because you don’t expect that.  You just don’t — was that people who knew me, people I’d considered friends, people I’d have trusted, people who weren’t political, believed the slander.  I lost friends over it. But more importantly, I lost trust in humanity as a whole.

I don't think I've ever had a moment like that.  Because unlike Sarah, I didn't start out thinking people were good.  People are, as stated by Dr. Cox on the show Scrubs, "Bastard coated Bastards with Bastard filling".  And that's on a good day.

Mankind is fallen.  They have been ever since Eve and Adam ate the apple.  Our whole existence is one big attempt to raise ourselves up from that fallen state, and that's the story of mankind from then to now, to forever.  Mankind is not naturally "good".  That has to be taught.  And America is teaching that less and less these days.

I don't trust humanity.  I have absolutely no reason to trust humanity.  I have seen what humanity does to itself over and over and over, and it doesn't shock me when one group kills another group, or burns down their section of the city (other than the basic shock of seeing humans act worse than dogs, who instinctively know not to shit in their den).  Civilization is a thin veneer of plaster trying to keep a house together in an earthquake, and it will fail at some point.  It's not if, it's a matter of when.

My mom always told me that if you want to see what people are truly like, watch them playing sports and driving.  That's when the mask comes off, because no one is watching, or so they think.  Take a drive through any major urban area these days, and tell me what you see.  Flip on any sports event on TV, and tell me what you see.

“Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck.”

Robert Heinlein's quote is true, and everyone recognizes it's truth, because humans don't start out "good", and they don't magically become "good".  That has to be taught, either through the luck of having good parents, or through harsh lessons from reality.

Hard times make hard men.  Hard men make good times.  Good times make soft men.  Soft men make hard times.

Take a glance at the Gen-Xers, the Millennials, and tell me how many hard men you see there.  Hell, the entire Democrat Party Platform is made to appeal to soft men.  Soft men, and those who enjoy the destruction of civilization as we know it.

Buy more ammo.
