So we're being told that all the hell we're going through is mandatory.  It needs to happen!  We need to do it to flatten the curve!  And oh by the way, fuck the veterans while we give billions of dollars to our friends!

And how many veterans could that money have helped?  How many small businesses could that money have helped?  How many people would be able to pay their rent under this government-mandated lockdown, rather than watching the government bring in even MORE people to put on the public dole?

When these mandatory orders start getting ignored, you don't have to wonder about why.  Reading that list of giveaways, millions and millions of dollars going to Leftist bullshit, while veterans are losing their livelyhoods?  My vision went red for a while....

It's still two trillion dollars that we don't have being pushed out.  And I don't even want to guess what anti-freedom concessions the National Socialist Democrat Worker's Party managed to obtain.  The third and fourth order of effects from this should be just spectacular.

The FedGov has seminars on "Forest Bathing". They actually spend money on this.

And in the meantime the Commanding General of the USAR has to tell his commands to stop traveling because they don't have the money.  But we gots bills for Forest Bathing?!

Federal employees across the government have been attending “mindfulness” retreats, complete with “forest bathing” and lectures by Soros-funded speakers. These events started during the Obama administration but have continued, even as recently as a United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service “Mindfulness and Resiliency Summit” in August of 2019.

How many military members would that money train?

How many IOUs that the FedGov is printing would that money cover?

Shit like this is why people hate the government.  You're wasting other people's money on FOREST BATHING?  Let hippies pay for that shit on their own.

Slow Day at Work

But 'tis the season for that, I guess.  That and the government shutdown, which isn't really all that much of a shutdown.  I'd be happy to see it continue for a few weeks months as long as it takes to get a wall.

Social Security nose-diving into free-fall

Medicare sucking the hind-tit as well.  Look, this shouldn't shock anyone.  Both Medicare and Social Security were a way for the government to buy votes by robbing Peter to pay Paul, and as usual, whenever there are billions of dollars being stolen from one group, there will be the various human remoras hanging around to get a piece of the action.  Pretty soon, those remoras are getting a bigger and bigger piece of that action.

Not to mention that the whole S.S. "trust fund" is a load of crap - they've been paying benefits out of current year tax revenues ever since I can remember, and blowing any left-over cash on their social programs and other vote-buying legislation.  I'd say that money has run out, but the truth it is ran out decades ago.  They've just been borrowing and printing money ever since then.

If I could, I would destroy Social Security.  It's been nothing but a drain on my finances, and the finances of everyone my age.  It has taken 15% of my economic potential and tossed it down the shitter ever since I started working.  Imagine if I had been able to put that money into an IRA, or a mutual fund.  I'd be rich.  I'd be a damn millionaire.  Hell, even if I had just stuffed it into a savings account I'd be better off than I am now.

Social Security is nothing but a government mandated Ponzi scheme.  Bernie Madoff couldn't conceive of a swindle as big as Social Security.  Let it die.

Republicans once again step on their dicks

But that's because they're just the GOP wing of the Democrat Party.  Actions speak louder than words.

All those fiscal conservatives of days past – Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI), Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) – voted for the new budget. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) attempted to block the bill by refusing to give the go-ahead to a vote on it sans an amendment process, complaining, “Every one of these Republicans complained about President Obama’s deficits.” But he was shut down. 

Trillion dollar deficits.  The GOP just sold more of our grandchildren and great-grandchildren into financial slavery to pay for socialist pipedreams that do nothing but waste money.  And it is STILL NOT A BUDGET!  IT IS STILL NOT THE VERY THING THAT CONGRESS IS SUPPOSED TO PRODUCE!

This is why the Senate GOP has become a joke. McConnell has signaled for years that Republicans can deviate from the platform as much as they want, even with a GOP president. He’s merely a guy to make sure the trains run on time. 

A normal party leader would call people like Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins into his office and say, “Look, the president has already compromised beyond belief by offering a massive amnesty. It’s time to support the party platform and vote for a package that concurrently addresses our issues, otherwise find yourself a new party.” 

The GOP platform has become a free-for-all. The only ones who don’t get blank checks are conservatives. While cutting a deal with Schumer to raise the debt ceiling and increase the debt to unthinkable levels, McConnell has agreed to prevent conservatives from making any push to pass a single good piece of legislation this year. Section 30103 of the McConnell bill treats the budget caps for FY 2019 as if they are the official annual budget, which means that there will be no budget reconciliation this year. As we warned last month, without budget reconciliation, there is no way to pass conservative health care priorities or welfare reform. And that is exactly the way McConnell wants it.

The GOP is still the Democrat Party's little bitch thanks to Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan.  The Democrats are still in control, Chuck Schumer is still fucking this country over every single day, and Mitch McConnell will do nothing about it.  This is the GOP.  The Right Wing of the Democrat Party.  Mitch McConnell should just switch parties now, since he apparently wants to keep Chuck Schumer happy more than his voting base.

Alabama began 2017 by requiring able-bodied adults without children in 13 counties to either find a job or participate in work training as a condition for continuing to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Food stamp participation declined 14.5 percent from 235,771 in January 2014 to 201,557 in January 2015, according to the state.

And I can't add anything to this:

The left will never admit it, but there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that many of the people receiving welfare benefits are able bodied, and fully capable of finding a job. We know this, because when they’re given the choice between losing a couple hundred dollars per month in benefits, and finding a job that will earn them enough money to not need benefits, they choose to find work. We’re subsiding millions of people who just don’t want to work. 

And the other detail that the left will conveniently overlook, is that these people are basically siphoning off money from folks who are genuinely in a bad financial place. There would be more money for people who are actually poor.

The "War on Poverty" has been going for decades, and it was wasted over a trillion dollars since it was implemented.  In that time we have yet to make a single dent in poverty.  Maybe it's time to try something else other than massive wealth redistribution, hmmmm?

Yeah, keep in mind that this number is only valid if you don't take into account the number of military positions that were lost.  And since I'm neck deep in that area right now, let me assure you - the military is getting hacked into chunks and tossed out in the trash.

Your tax dollars at work

$16 muffins.  Sixteen FUCKING DOLLAR muffins at the DoJ meeting in 2009.  $5 Swedish meatballs.  $32 per person snacks.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!

Here's a little info into my work life - part of my job is dealing with government contracts.  Part of my job, until recently thanks to a personnel change, was budgeting for those contracts.  I had to budget down to the friggin' dollar what was going to be spent on food and lodging for upwards of 60 - 180 people for multiple events.

If I had spent $16 on a fucking muffin, I would have been ripped to PIECES during my annual audit, and then I would have been held financially liable for each and every item that wasn't authorized.  I'm  not even allowed to buy COFFEE for the people at my events.  NO SNACKS.  NO REFRESHMENTS.  PERIOD.

You want to cut the government budget?  Let's start holding all these fucking bureaucratic pieces of shit to the same standards that they enforce on me.  No more $16 fucking muffins, that's for DAMN sure.

And you can also be sure that if this one event has come to light, it's been happening all over the place, multiple times.  Fucking government jackasses!  No wonder we're fucking broke! 

Budgeting

I'm stealing this from Joe Huffman's blog.  And then I'm printing it out and sending it to my congresscritters.  I know a lot of folks who's budgets are in the $50k range, and I can use this to beat them over the head.

[It is predicted the Federal budget deficit will reach $1.65 trillion this year with a $14.1 trillion debt and about $2.1 trillion in income. Yet the House cannot reach agreement on spending cuts. The House Republicans want to only cut $60 billion in spending and the Democrats only want to cut spending $6.5 billion. If you were to scale this down into numbers people might be able to relate to it would look like the following.

If your family income were $50,000 then:

• Family debt is $335,700

• Family deficit is $39,300 (spending is $89,300/year)

• The head of household wants to cut $1,430 in yearly spending

• The spouse wants to cut $154.80 in yearly spending

The children should cut up the credit cards and sell everything that isn’t the bare minimum needed for food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and communication. If the debt still isn’t being paid down they should consider selling their parents organs.

The Republican Killing Budget?

Ace is of the opinion that this budget could kill the Republican majority in the house, and make us lose seats in the Senate:

But be that as it may, someone has to lead the country, and as our Non-President just wants to fucking golf and talk about how awesome he is, I guess it's up to the people the Constitution doesn't nominate as national leaders to step into the Great Void of Incompetence and Cowardice left by the Bammy-Bam and do something for America.

Okay, here it is, everyone: We've long had a dispute about whether it's better to do the right thing, no matter how unpopular it is or fudge on doing the right thing to stay electable.

We're about to face this dilemma because the GOP is going forward with a plan to reform entitlement spending.

Me, I think that Ace is partially correct.  Obama is a gutless punk cocksucker who refuses to lead because that would be hard and he might get some schmutz on his neatly pressed and creased jeans by doing so.  And he's hoping that the Republicans get dirty cutting his budget.  But the fact that the gutless punk cocksucker pushed this fraud of a budget on the country can work in our favor:

Does this proposal look like the work of a man who’s drawn a lesson from his failures, economic and / or political? A president who truly means it when he says, “it's absolutely essential to live within our means” -- ?

The White House is in the hands of a socialist. His policy preferences are unchanged from 2009. He refuses to acknowledge that the nation has repudiated his direction. Either he thinks himself so much smarter than the rest of us that he cannot possibly be wrong, or his ego is too large to allow even the harshest chastisement from reality to deflect him from his chosen course. Or both.

I tend to think that both Mr. Porretto and Ace are correct:  Obama is a gutless punk cocksucker with a massive ego who is a hard-core dedicated Marxist and who refuses to admit when he's wrong.  There, that was easy, wasn't it?

In all seriousness, the budget that the House of Representatives comes up with is going to go a long way in determining whether or not this country stays on it's feet for the next decade.  Folks, Obama's budget is perfectly rational when you understand that it's all part of the Cloward-Piven strategy to topple America.  But yes, spending has to be slashed, the adults will have to do the slashing, and I expect that the Democrat Gutless Punk Cocksucker Party will use that to their advantage in 2012.  But this isn't a repeat of 1994, no matter how many people try to make that comparison.  This time we actually have people who are willing to say "Look folks, we do not have the money.  Period."  And judging by how many states now have Republicans or Conservatives running their state governments, I think that America is probably in a better position to listen to that message than they were in 1995 or 96.

Start the cutting!

Little article here about what programs can be cut from the Federal Gummint.  I've had a discussion with people much like this, where I started describing what departments could be cut from the government.  He objected, and said we would have riots in the streets.

I ain't certain that's a bad thing.  I might be pilloried for that, but I really don't know if watching the parasitic class go into full melt-down mode is all that horrible.

Oh, and for the record, I want to cut the Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Energy, the EPA, and various other independent programs, as well as most "foreign aid" that amounts to nothing more than handing money over to despots who hate us.

Health Care Reform?

You know how the current health care reform bill is being praised for actually helping the deficit. Well it is really just expanding the Medicaid system that is pushing the cost onto the States, instead of the Federal Government. The repayment to the doctors would still be only at 40% and doctors are not required to accept the plan.
