How can you tell when a liberal is lying?

Elizabeth Warren has another study out showing that medical expenses contribute to more than half of all bankruptcies–indeed, this time, it’s 70%, up from the 50% she found in 2001.

Now, it is possible that this is true. The fact that it seems to disagree with every other study I’ve ever read that is not authored by Elizabeth Warren, and also, the self-reports of the people in her study (only about a third of whom attribute their bankruptcy to a health problem) could just be a fluke. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s wrong.

Yet upon closer examination, it turns out that it is not just wrong, but actively, aggressively wrong. Warren and her co-authors have obscured important and obvious facts that call the integrity of the work into serious question.

This is the Left's next big project, one that they've been working on for years. Just as with the car dealerships, where GOP donors were being closed, and their dealerships given to Communist supporters, once the Left controls the country's health care they can decide who gets treatment and who does not.

And doesn't that just sound like fun? You have got to read the whole thing. And when someone blurts out that medical bills is the biggest reason for bankruptcy, shut them down.

Making a correction

So last week I posted about Obama's snub to the Queen of England.

Didn't happen. Yep, you heard me, it wasn't Obama's fault.

As much as I'm disgusted by the corrupt Chicago Communist, I can only blame the Teleprompter Jesus for things he's actually done. Unfortunately for all of us, that still leaves entire galaxies of actions the Liberal Lord and Messiah has taken, along with his whores of the press and legions of mindless, slavish minions to expound upon and reveal.

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God." ......

Thomas elaborated on Obama as God, patronizingly explaining: "He's going to bring all different sides together...Obama is trying to sort of tamper everything down. He doesn't even use the word terror. He uses extremism. He's all about let us reason together...He's the teacher. He is going to say, ‘now, children, stop fighting and quarreling with each other.’ And he has a kind of a moral authority that he – he can – he can do that." In response, Matthews wondered: "If there's a world election between him and Osama Bin Laden, he's running a good campaign." Thomas agreed: "Yes, he is."

Oh lord, help us all. This kind of worshipping is what makes me call Obama the Liberal Lord and Messiah. Don't tell me the Left doesn't worship this guy - I HAVE PROOF THAT THEY DO! And as Ace says:

I am not overstating things when I say that Obama could ask for blow-jay from pretty much any man in the media and get, at the very least, a shy apology and a raincheck.

Banging my head against the wall

Hot Air has a link up to a "moderate conservative", who voted for Obama, and is now having second thoughts.

I'm twisting myself in half here. On one hand, it's wonderful that this person has seen the negative consequences of her actions. On the other hand, if she voted for Obama, just how conservative could she be?

It seems like the president's image is unraveling in recent months and we're getting a look at the real Obama underneath the PR, razzle, dazzle veneer he sports so well. I think Americans are growing weary of the sparkle, shine and high-spending policies this president is selling and want to see something more. Every week he is on TV holding a press conference for this or that announcement on funding, bailouts or programs to expand government exponentially. As my father exclaimed recently, "when does he have time to run the country, if he's on television everyday." This is a question to be pondered. Team Obama may have won the presidency through an innovative public relations campaign but winning over the confidence of Americans and setting the country on the right course will require careful thought, temperance and bipartisan collaboration.

I'm trying to not go over the edge here, but if you voted for Obama and didn't expect a full on turn towards Marxism, especially with a Communist Controlled Congress, then you were, quite up front and honestly, ignorant as all hell. The fact that you now recognize that voting for Obama was a mistake is a step in the right direction. But it's only a step. You MUST EDUCATE YOURSELF. Because not all the enemies of America come dressed in a tan leisure suit with Elvis glasses and big hair. Some of them come dressed in a suit and a smile, promising Hope and Change.

I can only hope that this country survives the next three and a half years. But I don't think it will. The free country I knew and loved is gone, and I'm more than a little afraid at what will be replacing it.

After spending *mumblemumble* dollars to get my truck fixed, it's back in the shop after stalling out on me while I was headed off to get a haircut. It's been hard to start, and now has problems while driving. Much bad juju.

This kind of crap just drives me nuts. I was never a mechanical genius, and with newer engines I'm really screwed. I don't know why the truck is having problems. Hell, the mechanics probably don't know.

Dammit.

What really sucks is that it's raining, which means I have to steal the wife's car instead of riding my motorcycle.

While conservatives have been working to improve our democracy and our free-market economy, liberals have been working to replace our democracy with a dictatorship, and our free-market economy with a command economy controlled by the government. The liberals couldn't say this aloud, because if they did the American people would have tossed them out of office on their ears. So the liberals worked covertly, feigning support for democracy and for the free market while working diligently to undermine both.

This is why our politics has been so partisan, so vicious, and so deadlocked. This is why words have lost their meaning in Washington, why we can never get to the bottom of anything, why we lurch from one manufactured scandal to another. It's all been part of a decades-long effort by the liberals to throw sand in our eyes -- to keep us from seeing clearly where they really want to take us. (And this explains why, when we question their judgment on some issue, they go berserk and accuse us of questioning their patriotism. They're afraid we're on the verge of catching on. Now you tell me if that statement was read at any liberal college (redundancy alert) there wouldn't be a shitstorm of epic proportions. But if a woman of any skin color says:

California Proposition 8 upheld

Today the California Supreme Court vetoed same sex marriage. The down side to this is that all current same sex marriages that occurred before Proposition 8 stand. The reasoning's for this are questionable at best.
I can understand the whole that proposition 8 was not worded to be retroactive. But to say that it would cause issues with property rights! Come on, who are we kidding here?

Some may call this a hollow victory because of the remaining "marriages". Considering I thought it would be pretty much thrown out, I think we should be happy, not elated, but happy with this judgment.
