The Terrorist Leftist Nexus - Imbicile Edition

I give you Jane Felix-Browne - Imbicile:

51-year-old British grandmother and parish councillor from Cheshire has married her 6th husband, Omar Ossama bin Laden (age 27), the fourth eldest son of Osama bin Laden after a holiday romance and is to apply for a visa so that he can visit Britain.

So OBL Jr is into older women? Or! He wants the run of Britain.

"He is the most beautiful person I have ever met. His heart is pure, he is pious, quiet, a true gentleman, and he is my best friend.”

This one! Now, HE is mister right! Forget the 5 previous husbands. Something tells me grandma isn't that great a judge of character.

Met bin Laden in Egypt in September while undergoing treatment for multiple sclerosis.

Young, healthy, is there any doubt what OBL Jr sees in the old girl?

They were married in Islamic ceremonies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and are awaiting permission from the authorities in Riyadh to make their marriage official.

What's the hold up? Muslim theocratic intolerance? Nah.

“Omar is wary of everyone. He is constantly watching people who he feels might be following him. Not without reason he is fearful of cameras.

His paranoia must be part of his charm.

He is the son of Osama,” she said. “But when we are together he forgets his life.”

"Eh, forget all that stuff about my terror mastermind daddy, honey. Let's talk about that VISA! YEAH! Now you're getting me hot."

Mrs Felix-Browne already knew some members of the bin Laden family through her Islamic marriage to a Saudi man in London when she was 16. She believes that she actually met Osama bin Laden at a party in London in the 1970s.

Saudi man.....age 16...hmmmmm. So right off the bat, this clueless twit is shacking up with someone willing to marry a 16 year old child. What kind of family life must 16 year old Jane have had?

She said that her husband left Afghanistan before the attacks on the US on September 11, 2001. However, some reports claim that he split from his father only after the attack on New York and an argument about tactics. Mrs Felix-Browne insisted: “He last saw his father in 2000 when they were both in Afghanistan. He left his father because he did not feel it was right to fight or to be in an army. Omar was training to be a soldier and he was only 19. “He told me he has had no contact with his father since the day he left him."

"But he told me he didn't have anything to do with that bad old terrorism stuff." It's ok to get hitched at 16 but joining the old man's jihad at ONLY 19, that's just nuts!

He misses his father.

"Awwwwwww! Daddy's in a cave somewhere making plans to murder countless innocents, habibi baby. Let nanna hold you."

Omar doesn’t know if it was his father who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. I don’t think we will ever know.”

It's soo hard to know these things. Especially after Osama Sr. recorded video of himself gloating about how successful his attacks were and eagerly shared it with the rest of the world.

He works as a scrap metal dealer in Jedda

Funny. A bunch of "scrap metal" was shipped out of Iraq before Operation Iraqi Freedom. Wonder if this is the same kind of stuff.

Mrs Felix-Browne, who now uses the Islamic name Zaina Mohamad,

Submission comes in many forms.

says that she speaks to her husband for several hours every day over the internet or by telephone. During their conversations she refers to him repeatedly as “Habibi”, the Arabic for “my love”. She said: “I find it very difficult to live without him and I know he does too. But really we have the most normal life possible.”

"OMG grams I miss u soo much LOL TTFN XOXOXO" Sounds like they're really close, eh? How close? Glad ya asked!

She was aware before her marriage that her husband already had another wife and a two-year-old child. “I haven’t seen her but I have spoken to her for about an hour on the telephone,” she said. “She is fine about it.”

"No, nanna! She means nothing to me. Just a sec, I need to put the phone down while I bend her young, child-bearing ass over the bed and ooooohhhh yeah! What was I saying? Oh uh, yeah, only you nanna!"

Now she hopes that Mr bin Laden will come to Britain. “He would like to spend quite a bit of time here,” she said. “There is no reason why he should not come to live, but I don’t think he would like the weather.”

Hey, gram gram, I bet you'd find he'd get over the weather in no time at all.

Mrs Felix-Browne said that the couple hoped to use their position to help to heal the wounds caused by her father-in-law. “All we want is peace in this world and I will do all I can to promote it.”

Yeah, a delusional internet fling between an aging imbicile to the (already hitched) son of the world's most wanted killer will be as a flock of white doves.

On the list of cities I wouldn't cry about if they were nuked

You can add Olympia.

A planned visit of three naval ships during this year’s Lakefair is in serious doubt because of concerns about providing security.

Most Olympia City Council members said Tuesday night that they would deny a request from Capital Lakefair for six to 10 police officers to provide security.

Piss on 'em. I don't know how Olympia turned out the way it did, with Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB right on their borders. That would be like San Fransicko having Ft. Hood and Whiteman close by.

Olympia is another city that proves when you let Leftist take over, everything goes to hell. Sondra, would you PLEASE move the hell away from that city so we can send in the B-52's?

Drivin' to work today

and I was listening to AFN on the radio. They got Commie Network News or something like that. I can't quite remember, because all the ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN are all a bunch of worthless asshats, and I only listen to AFN so I don't have to hear reggeton 24/7.

Anyways, some talking head is blabbing about John McCain having to fire a bunch of people, and the closing remark is "McCain has seen his popularity plummet ever since allying himself to President Bush over the surge in Iraq."

I almost vomited right then and there.

The surge in Iraq isn't the problem. There's this little problem of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, and the AMNESTY BILL, or hooking up for a tryst with Teddy (hic!) Kennedy on the whole shamnesty issue that has torpedoed McCain. But according to Cockgoblin News Network, McCain's problem is that he supported the surge.

Just another example of why I never watch CNN, and why I call them the propaganda wing of the Democrat American Communist Party. Worthless whores, the lot of them. Gutter wenches, trollops and slimy filth masquerading as an objective media outlet.

Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.

Bring it, Beeyotch!

Democrat American Communist Party Blogger wants to shoot Rush Limbaugh, asks for someone to kill Ted Nugent.

Alls I gots ta say is this:

BRING IT!

“How we can remain ‘civil’ in the face of this is beyond my ken,” wrote Williams. “I will only reiterate what I’ve said WHEN they manage to inevitably push their litany of hatespeak into actual bloodletting, and full-blown civil war (for there is no other place that this hatred of American against American can go), well ... I’ve got dibs on Rush, as soon as it’s legal and lawful to shoot him. Whoever wants Ted Nugent is welcome to him, but I would prefer that you would call it now, so as to conserve on ammunition. We will need to manage it prudently. But when the day comes that they have finally set brother against brother, and sister against sister in the name of their pocketbooks, I won’t approach exterminating them with anything approaching remorse. They’ve already told me what they think of me, of my friends and of my peers. Now, I’m returning the favor. Put that in your pipe and have the WSJ editorial staff show you how to smoke it, Nugent. Courage.”

The first shot that these anti-American asshats fire will be their last. Period. End of story. And not only will we NOT have to listen to them whine and snivel anymore, but we'll have that many less people trying to tear America down and turn it into a socialist shithole.

So bring it, beeyotch. People like this are the domestic enemies I swore an oath to defend the Constitution against.

Heh. Heheh! BWAAA HAAA HAAAA!

Old Cindy Sheehan, who as you might remember used her dead son to launch her political career as a major league tool, now is throwing a temper tantrum at San Fran Nan.

Drumwaster seems kinda split on everything:

Your humble Host is split as to which idiot to cheer for - either Pelosi (which will drive the spike of obscurity into Sheehan’s pocketwatch-for-a-heart) or Sheehan (who will drag the Democrats over that precipice once and for all).
There's no split for me at all. First of all, anything that can get Bela Pelosi out of Washington D.C. is a good thing. Second of all, putting Sheehan in Congress with a (D) next to her name will drive home the point that the Democrat American Communist Party is crazy as a shithouse rat, corrupt beyond all belief, and unable to be trusted with any sharp objects much less the country.

And third - watching the Democrat American Communist Party ravage on national television the woman that they used like the cheap whore would just be the cherry on top of the trainwreck that is the Democrat American Communist Party's politics.

In short, watching the Democrat American Communist Party eat itself is a good thing. Besides, no matter who wins between the Botoxed Bitch and Shithead Sheehan, the Democrat American Communist Party will STILL be represented by an anti-American, Communist clusterfuck.

Does that seem harsh? Too bad. I call 'em as I see 'em. I can't wait for the hate mail to pour in.

Discipline

Drill and Ceremony. Part of the military, always has been, always well be. Phil DAVID!!!! has four videos to the Masters of D&C. Go. Watch. Now.

Sorry, David. Despite the fact that we share the same first name, I didn't get it right.

You can't get more blunt than this

from the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy:

There is no social benefit in decreasing the availability of guns if the result is to increase the use of other means of suicide and murder, resulting in more or less the same amount of death. Elementary as this point is, proponents of the more guns equal more death mantra seem oblivious to it. One study asserts that Americans are more likely to be shot to death than people in the world's other 35 wealthier nations. While this is literally true, it is irrelevant-except, perhaps to people terrified not of death per se but just death by gunshot. A fact that should be of greater concern--but which the study fails to mention--is that per capita murder overall is only half as frequent in the United States as in several other nations where gun murder is rarer, but murder by strangling, stabbing, or beating is much more frequent.

What Would Audie Murphy Do? Probably just what all these troops did.

BAGHDAD, Iraq, July 4, 2007 – Hundreds of troops gathered at Al Faw Palace for the Multi-National Force-Iraq Reenlistment, Naturalization and Independence Day Ceremony today at Camp Victory. During the ceremony, 588 troops reenlisted and 161 were naturalized as American citizens.

Robert A Heinlein

Would have been 100 today. Didn't make it. Of course, damn near nobody makes it to 100, so it's not like it's a big shock.

Heinlein, believe it or not, started out on the Left side of the political sphere, but drifted ever to the Right as he grew older. Proving the old adage "If you're 20 and a Conservative, you have no heart. If you're 40 and a Liberal, you have no brain." Me personally, I had a heart when I was 20, I just couldn't stand the rampant drug use, loose ethics, and questionable morals that Liberalism entailed.

Nothing will set you off from a political philosophy quicker than realizing that everyone who subscribes to it is either a disease-infested, drug smoking loser, or yearns to be one.

In any case, I've enjoyed reading Heinlein books for years, and I still haven't read them all. I'm working on that.

Anyways, it's a drill weekend, which means that I'm ass-deep in paperwork. See you all on Monday.

Two things today

that I wanted to post about. The first is this:

In San Francisco’s effort to pay the soaring cost for retiree health benefits, it’s $500,000 down, $4.9 billion to go.

The city, like most local governments and school districts in California, has put aside no money to cover the fast-growing cost of delivering on health care coverage promised to its workers once they hit retirement age.

But in San Francisco, the financial liability hanging over the city is one of the heaviest in the state, thanks in part to the generosity of its employee health care benefits.

“As this number keeps growing … it can cripple our budget,'’ said Supervisor Sean Elsbernd, who has taken the lead on trying to address the issue in the city’s legislative body. “This will eat up all our discretionary income, the money we use for street repairs, parks and programs for the people of San Francisco.'’

I've often said that if you want to see why Liberalism is such a bad idea, just watch San Francisco. The city is so full of hard Leftism that there's absolutely no conservative principals in play, unless they simply can't be avoided. "Free" healthcare is one of those Leftist ideals that has already failed the world around, and yet Leftists of all stripe have orgasms while advocating it.

Well, here's your result. San Fran tried it. And they'll go bankrupt funding it. Congrats! Universal healthcare gives you all the efficiency of the government, combined with the compassion of the IRS. And yet the Left thinks this is a great idea!

Here's why they think it's so great: It's not about healthcare, it's about control. If the government is in control of healthcare, then the gummint gets to tell you when and where you'll get treated. Once again, it's less about the actual subject of discussion, and more about the control they want you to give up.

Link found at RNS.

The second link is to Ann Coulter's latest column, which I found at Baby Troll Blog. There's not that much venom in this one, but I guarantee that people are still going to screech at it. Much as Alger says,

Yes. As usual, what she has to say in her column -- headline and all -- is spot-on. As per standard operating procedure, the usual leftist suspects will wet the bed. And a certain segment of the dextrosphere will get their panties in a wad because -- they think -- she's not fighting according to the Marquis of Queensbury rules. Without regard for her accuracy.

Everybody always flips out when Coulter unleashes on some idiot or another. "OHMYGAWD, why is she being so MEAN! Nobody cares about her message when she's that vitriolic! Why doesn't she tone it down!"

How about because if she wasn't that focused, nobody would listen to her? You want proof? Head on over to Townhall.com and see just how many writers there are. You doing that? Good. Now, tell me how many of them you read on a daily basis.

I'm guessing a few at most. Maybe half a dozen regularly. And everyone who writes over at Townhall is worthy of being read. But most people don't even know who half of those people are. But they know who Ann Coulter is.

People don't like how mean Coulter can be? Lemmee tell you a secret - I love it. Why? Because she says what I wish I could say in person to every worthless assnugget who insults conservatives, the military, and the American way of life. But I can't say it. Nobody on the national stage really gives a shit about me, because I'm just another Soldier that they can ignore. But Coulter doesn't get ignored.

So people don't like her because she's MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN! You know what? I love it. She's one of the very few people who is willing to toss all the bullshit right back in the Democrat American Communist Party's faces, and by the way they screech you know she's hit the mark.

There's been a few times that even I have wondered why she doesn't tone it down. But then I watch the feces flinging monkeys of the Left howl in outrage, working themselves into a foamy-mouthed fit, and I remember why I read her so often. If you don't like her, fine. Stop listening to her. Stop reading her. Turn the channel when she comes on the TV. But I'm still going to read her columns.

Light posting day

As if you couldn't tell that already. I have been dubbed the "Personnel NCO" at my unit, because there's no actual personnel person in the unit and I can type. That's it. That's the whole reason. "Oh, wow, you know how to use a computer! Here, do all this paperwork!" Gah. Anyways, there's a whole buttload of work to be done, and I get to figure out how to do it all.

So 'scuse me if I don't post too much right now.

The Fourth of July

So, two hundred and thirty-one years ago, we proclaimed our independence from Britain.

Actually, it's not quite so simple as that, is it?

In 1776, a group of patriots, people who dreamed of freedom, people who had an idea for a better country, got together and decided that against all odds, they were going to go up against the strongest, farthest reaching, most powerful empire in the world. They did it for an idea that perhaps somehow they could win and create a prosperous land for everyone.

And they won.

They did what people thought was impossible - the defeated Great Britain. Oh, they had some help, yes. But they did what nobody even thought possible at that time - they defeated the greatest Army in the world.

Since then, America has had her struggles, her problems to overcome, but we have become the living embodiment of freedom, hope, opportunity and liberty.

Now, I'm not going to stand here and tell you that America is perfect. But I will say this - despite our imperfections, we are still the best damn country on the face of this Earth. And to anyone who scoffs at that and calls me nationalistic, or simplistic, or any other names that "progressive" types like to sneer, I have just one question:

Which way are the people headed? In, or out?

This isn't just the nation I was born in, this is the nation that I choose to be a citizen of. This is the nation I choose to grow old in. This is the nation that I choose to defend, with my life if necessary.

I, David ******, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

I have represented America in foreign countries. I wear her flag on my right arm. I have sworn to defend her against all enemies. Today, I'm going to enjoy myself and remember all the reasons I have done so. I'll be grilling, and drinking beer, and hugging my wife, and watching the fireworks. But above all, I will be remembering exactly why I'm proud to be a citizen of this great country.

Happy Fourth of July, folks. I hope you enjoy it. And this last picture is just because I liked it so much.

The media even admits it.

Adding on to this post just a few posts down, there's an email at Instapundit that has to be read.

Yon's story doesn't get attention because it is humiliating.

It is humiliating because it is obvious that we media – and our allies in the state department, the legal trade, the NGOs, the Democratic Party, the UN, etc., - can’t do squat about such determined use of force.

Our words, images, arguments and skills can’t stop the killing. Only the rough soldiers and their guns can solve the problem, and we won’t admit that fact because the admission would weaken our influence and our claim to social status.

So we pretend Yon’s massacre – and the North Korean killing fields, the Arab treatment of women, the Arab hatred of Israel, etc. - doesn’t exist, and instead focus our emotions and attention on the somewhat-bad domestic things that we can ‘fix’ with our DC-based allies. Things such as Abu Ghraib, wiretapping, etc. When we ‘fix’ them, then we get status, applause, power, new jobs, ego, etc.

Please don’t be surprised. We media are an interest group not much different from the automakers, the unions, and the farmers.

The good news is that there is someone willing to admit it. The bad news is that it had to be admitted, and there's still not enough people willing to admit it.

OK, OK, OK.....

Alger (and Dolly) have finally won out. After a good long while, and way too many suggestions, I have made a small, very slight change to my name.

Gone is the underscore, and the somewhat unnecessary "g". New and improved is the apostrophe. With the combined effect of modernizing (since Blogger doesn't require the underscore anymore) and ties me in more with my Western roots.

Whaddya think?

Oh hell, who am I kidding? I'm doing this mostly so that I don't ever have to hear Dolly or Alger ever say "Get an apostrophe, Dave! Hey Dave, get an apostrophe! Why don't you just get an apostrophe, Dave?"

Hey, Alger.......

I GOT AN APOSTROPHE!

Oh damn.....

Awesome. Just flat out awesome.

As Galen’s dad, the scene that haunts me from the tragic life and criminal death of Liquarry Jefferson is this: It’s 11 o’clock on a Sunday night, and four children - ages 15, 8, 7 and 2 - gather around a loaded handgun without a parent in sight.

Forget the gun for a moment. What the heck is a 2-year-old doing up and about at 11 p.m.? My 7-year-old son wouldn’t be able to con himself into a round of Candyland at that hour, much less a game of “Give The Glock To The Unattended First Grader.”

Mayor Tom Menino’s reaction to Liquarry’s death has proven to every Boston parent that he just doesn’t get it. He comforted the so-called “family” and assaulted the National Rifle Association.

Blaming the NRA for the death of Liquarry Jefferson is like blaming the American Cutlery Institute for the O.J. Simpson murders. Even the most ardent gun control advocate must admit that, for most of little Liquarry’s life, the least of his worries was the state of America’s gun laws.

Liquarry’s world consisted of an unwed mother who is also a repeat, violent offender; a convicted killer for a father; a 15-year-old half-brother already busted for gun possession - the son of a convict who recently beat a murder rap; various siblings from sundry fathers; and a community that looked at this dysfunctional mess and thought nothing of it.

That’s the family Mayor Menino visited and offered comfort to. That’s the family that social worker Nia Sue Mitchum described as “beautiful - she’s a good mother.”

If that’s a good family, could someone in the mayor’s office please tell me what it takes to be a bad one?
Can I get a HELL YEAH!

+1

To this post by Ace of Spades, regarding Bush's communting of Scooter Libby's sentence. What I really agree with is this part:

Suggestion: Bush should have reduced the fine to a more reasonable $50,000, which just so happens to be how much Sandy Berger was fined for stealing and destroying classified documents and lying about it to investigators (he wasn't charged for the latter, but subsequent revelations has made it clear he did just that).

Making the fine $50,000 would have been more in line with Libby's transgressions, and it would have made it harder for Democrats to argue against it. The penalty -- no jail time, $50,000, probation -- would have been so similar to Berger's that one could scarcely mention it without also mentioning Berger.

Hell yeah. But that would never happen. It should, but it won't.

By the way, DANEgerus has an extensive list of links regarding the worthless, brain-dead Democrat American Communist Party members who are currently howling about this. As usual, their memory is selective, their actions belay their words, and their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

What did you expect? They're Leftists!

OK, let's try this again....

I've turned comment moderation off for a bit. Should we get an infestation of trolls, I'll turn it back on.

And once again

THE MEDIA IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! The media doesn't give a damn about those inconvenient facts. Hell, the media at this point doesn't give a shit that they're getting caught flat out lying to you. They're continuing to lie, and lie, and lie, all to push their political agenda. It's not about the news at all in their minds, it's about what they can do to recapture their Viet Nam glory days, where they took a war that we were winning and forced American to surrender.

One man with a camera captures the true story, and not one single Has-Been Media source bothers to get his story. Michael Yon is over in Iraq on his own dime, doing the reporting that the AP, NYT, and API will not do.

That's why I won't buy any newspapers. Looks like I won't be buying them any time soon. My money is better spent in Yon's tipjar.

I'm feeling a bit ill

Although not as ill as Michael Yon must have felt when he took these photos.

If we abandon Iraq, this is what will happen. If we run away, this is going to be the result. If we pull out and leave, this is what Iraq can look forward to.

We. Cannot. Leave. Not now, not until Iraq can withstand the flat out assault of barbarians that would follow our leaving.

It's actually kind of sad

You know, when two good bloggers go at each other, and you know that both of them are tilting at windmills? Yeah. That's happening right now. For those who don't know, Rachel Lucas and Sarah K. are having a blogfight over their dogs. "Oh, but my Sunny is cuter!" "No no, my Rowdy is cuter!" Blah blah blah. Two people fighting over something which is not even in doubt!

My dog is the cutest. And that's the final word. FEAR THE ROXIE!

Better living through spicy food

So, I'm sick. And the wife, living with me as wives do, is also getting sick. Not from my looks, you weirdos, from the damn virus that's floating around.

Anyways, I'm a big fan of eating healthy in order to kill a cold. So's the Raging Mrs. In fact, she's the one who taught me about burning viruses out of my body with spicy food.

So tonight, I made a spicy peanut stir-fry, with enough onion, garlic and chili pepper to make normal people shriek and run away. Any virus that's floating around in my body is hopefully burning to death in a painful, horrible, demonic fashion. Burn, virus, burn. If I could find a way to cause a virus pain, I would do it. If there were scientific proof that dragging my ass over a mile of broken glass would cause the virus in my body to shriek in agony for hours on end, I would buy stock in bandages and drag my ass over that mile.

Yeah. I'd do the same for most congresscritters as well. Seriously. "Oh, what, smashing my fingers with that hammer causes Senator Feinstein to be knocked unconscious? Really? Pass me the ball-peen and the asprin!" ****WHACK**** "OWOWOWOWOW DIEYOUSTUPIDBITCH OWOWOWOW!"

Yeah. I'm sick like that. I also happen to believe that communists and socialists need to be publicly flogged as a lesson for everyone else.

Anyways, I'm still a snot factory, but I'm hoping to feel well enough tomorrow to go for a run. Or at least a walk, with the dog. I don't know. I'm tired of being sick. I hate being sick. Some people get their kicks off of sitting in their house all day. I can't stand it. I can't stand being on the couch for this long. I've been vegitating, trying to get healthy, eating good, taking my vitamins, doing what I can to kill the cold and get back to being my normal upright being.

Gah. I'll give you an update tomorrow. In the meantime, if someone could give me scientific proof that whipping my testicles with a wet noodle would drop an anvil on Senator Reid's head, please let me know, because that worthless sack of jelly needs it. I think that Reid is proof that even if you have no morals, no ethics, no spine, no integrity, no brain, and no real skills in life, you can still obtain a position of power and wealth. Leftists of the words, rejoice!

Or not.

Online Dating

Mingle2 - Online Dating

Yeah. Gosh, who woulda thunk it? I mean, I'm so polite and nice and choir-boyish and stuff.

There are days

When I look around, and think to myself "Dave, you dumbass, you should have joined the Coast Guard."

Today is one of those days.

Dammit

I've been so busy that half the time I forget to breathe. And I'm kicking myself in the ass right now, because I completely forgot about this sad anniversary. The day that Rob Smith passed away.

I still remember when I found out. I had just gotten home, and was walking to the front door, when Cap'n Jim called me. He knew that I'd met Rob and got along with him, and wanted me to find out from a friend rather than reading it online. I don't know if I could thank him enough for that.

So today, when I finally got some time to do more than just post, I went to Cap'n Jim's blog and found out that I was two days late and more than a dollar short. And reading it today was just as painful as reading it a year ago. It's like a punch in the gut. There are some people who meant so much to so many people that you feel their loss even after time fades. I still hit GutRumbles on a regular basis, because Sam is reposting a lot of Rob's stuff, normally about a post a day. And reading his stuff again, you can still see that old coot banging away on his keyboard with a cigarette smoldering next to him.

What a felt when I first heard the news still holds true today.

The other people know that you don't get rich, or famous, or achieve greatness by sitting on your front porch bragging about what you did in highschool. You find the highest peak you can, and start climbing it, because the reward at the top of that peak is worth all the risks involved. And if you only made it halfway there, you can at least look down at all the miserable pukes who didn't even try, and pity them. Or tell them where the hand-holds are. Or both. What if the Wright Brothers said "Nah, too risky!'? What if the Pilgrims said "You know, Greenland should be good enough don't you think?" What if Christopher Columbus had said "Turn it around boys, it's too risky."? But they didn't. They were the other people.

Rob Smith was one of those other people. You read his blog, and you didn't know whether to curse him out or laugh out loud. You looked at the things he did in life, and you had one of two thoughts. It was either A) "Oh hell, I wish I'd done that!" or B) "Did you mean to fuck it up that bad, or was it an accident?"

Never once did you read his writing and go "Meh. Whatever."

(............)

Rob had written steadily for years. He influenced more people than even he knew. And when the bullshit was flying, you could always count on Rob to cut through the crap and lay out the truth as he saw it. Even if you didn't like what he presented, you knew he wasn't giving you a line of BS. He had a hell of a life, both good and bad, and towards the end of it managed to beat down his personal demons. Again, life on his terms. There wasn't anything that was going to control him if he had anything to say about it.

Rob wrote the way people should write. He was popular because he not only put his heart out on his blog, he made sure you could understand how he felt and why he felt that way. He was a better communicator than most of the intellectuals today could even dream of being.

Dammit, Rob, you're going to be missed. This planet needs more of people like you, not less.

But Godspeed, brother.

Somewhere, that old cracker is laughing his ass off, surrounded by nekkid wimmen on a sunny beach.

Oh Frabjous Day!

The Shamnesty Bill is dead.

Now to business. Senator Craig? You're history. I don't care if I have to go bankrupt reminding Idaho that you voted for this piece of shit legislation. You're gone. You can kiss your next re-election good-bye.

We need to insure that this legislative abortion doesn't see the light of day ever again.

Sigh

Well, my "be nice and stay calm" plan was nice while it lasted.

WASHINGTON — Despite low approval ratings and hard feelings from
last year's elections, Democrats and Republicans in the House are reaching out
for an approximately $4,400 pay raise that would increase their salaries to
almost $170,000.

$4,400. That's more than I get paid in a month. Most Congresscritters are millionares. And according to a website I saw a while ago, most of them became millionares after they were elected to Congress.

I need to go find that reference. Until I do, don't quote me.

Quote of the Day

"And I would just observe, that the radio talk show hosts know more about the bill than most of the Senators, if you want to know the truth."

Just. Damn. Perfect. Thank you, Senator Sessions. ROLL TIDE!

Taking a breath

I've been rather pissed off lately, haven't I? I figured I needed to take a break, breathe a while, and find some news that wouldn't send my blood pressure through the roof.

So here it is:

Pope Benedict XVI has approved a document that relaxes restrictions on elebrating the Latin Mass used by the Roman Catholic Church for centuries until the modernizing reforms of the 1960s, the Vatican said Thursday.

Benedict discussed the decision with top officials in a meeting on Wednesday and the document will be published in the next few days, the statement said. The meeting was called to "illustrate the content and the spirit" of the document, which will be sent to all bishops accompanied by a personal letter from the pope.

When I was a young'n my father brought me into church with a challenge. The challenge was to learn the Mass of the Shepherds for Christmas Midnight Mass.

It was in Latin. It had to be sung. Four part harmony, with a pipe organ for accompaniment. There's a reason society has traditions and customs, and a big part of that reason is to keep us connected with where we came from, what we are a part of, and who we are in total. If it weren't for the traditions that I became a part of, Catholic mass would just not be the same. Even now, I'm bringing some of those traditions to the chapel I go to.

Dropping Latin from the Catholic mass was a mistake, in my opinion. I'm glad to see that corrected, at least in part.

Oh, and by the way

Yes, I'm one step closer to declaring that all Senators should be hung from lamp-posts and used as target practice for the people in this country who actually want to protect it and not give it away to a bunch of criminals.

We'll see what happens in the House. As of right now, this is how I see it: The Senate doesn't give a shit about what's best for this country, or what their constituents actually want. They're going to ram this Shamnesty bill down our throats. The only other option I see for their gross negligence is the possibility that they are so removed from reality that they actually think they're doing something good.

In which case they should all be fired, and never allowed around sharp knives, scissors, or any other object that could hurt a mentally retarded weasel. Because they're so idiotic that if we could get rid of them all the collective IQ of the USA would go up by 20 points.

Either way, it doesn't look good. And I'm never voting for anyone who's going along with this craptastic criminal plan.

Oh, and all you damned asscannons claiming that we've lost in Iraq? Fuck you, and fuck the horse you rode in on. The surge has just barely begun and you're already crying failure? You disgust me, you traitorous scum. You don't deserve to be called an American. You should be brought up on charges of treason and hung immediately upon conviction.

Yes, that includes Richard Lugar as well. At this point, I don't give a damn about political parties. They're all the same, nasty, worm ridden shit; they've just been divided into two separate piles. Other than name and location, they're all the same. Worthless, venial, greedy, elitist bags of shit who need to stop stealing our oxygen.

The problem with this

is that the Goracle and his brainwashed, kool-aid guzzing dipshits will never accept the challenge.

Al Gore has claimed that there are scientific forecasts that the earth will become warmer and that this will occur rapidly. University of Pennsylvania Professor J. Scott Armstrong, author of Principle of Forecasting: A Handbook for Researchers and Practitioners, and Kesten C. Green, of Monash University (and Armstrong’s Co-Director of forecastingprinciples.com), have been unable to locate a scientific forecast to support that viewpoint. As a result, Scott Armstrong offers a challenge to Al Gore that he will be able to make more accurate forecasts of annual mean temperatures than those that can be produced by current climate models.

Algore and the eco-freaks who are hysterically shrieking like little girls about "Global Warming" don't give a damn about facts. If they actually cared about the facts they wouldn't be having conniption fits about the whole damn hoax to begin with. Global warming, if it is happening at all (and that hasn't been proven one bit) is not going to destroy the Earth. We're not melting ice caps. Our cars aren't going to turn the planet into a charred ball. And the people trying to use the government to force you to follow their drug-fueled fanatic goals are either so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to breed, or the KNOW the entire thing is bullshit and they're just trying to exercise power over you for power's sake, in which case they're flat out evil communists and shouldn't be allowed to breed.

But don't call it amnesty!

So, the Senate, in it's full blown zeal to grant amnesty to anyone who can walk, run, jump or swim across our borders, has just defeated an amendment that would have required that the criminals at least return home before we give them billions of taxpayer dollars.

I'm so pissed off at the Senate right now that I don't have any commentary. No pithy comments. No snide remarks. Just this:

Not only will I work against any Senator rectum dwelling parasite who votes for this Shamnesty Bill, I will actively work, when possible, to impeach said rectum dwelling parasite. Hell, should this travesty ever get out of the Senate, I'll support the impeachment of El Presidente Jorge Arbusto himself, for failure to protect and defend the country. And I voted for the man twice!

The only thing that makes me even more angry is that as bad as the Republican are, the Democrat American Communist Party is twice as worse. So we either get ass-raped, or we get ass-raped with a sandpaper condom and broken-glass lubricant.

Where's that reset button?

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

OK, so let's follow the logic, shall we?

We elect congresscritters to represent us in Washington D.C., right? They are supposed to represent our interests for us.

An overwhelming majority of the country hates the Shamnesty Bill that the Senate is trying to shove down our throats. Period, end of story. Not just Republicrats or Democans, but everyone except for the criminally insane does not want it even mentioned.

The Senate just voted to move on the Shamnesty Bill. Ergo, they are not representing the huge majority of their constituents, correct?

Why should we allow them to continue to represent us? Recall? Impeachment? Sound good to you? Because it sounds damn fine to me, especially for Senator Larry Craig of Idaho, who will no longer be getting a damn thing from me. No money. No support. And no votes.

Sorry Larry - but unless you can give me the most stupendous reason for your vote, you're history. And I'll make sure that everybody in Idaho remembers this.

Riddle me this

Why is it that the Leftists who claim to "support the troops" never listen to the troops? For example, when a returning officer has this to say:

· A deadline for withdrawal is an incentive for Iraqi political compromise.

Levin thinks we ought to pressure Iraq's government with a warning tantamount to saying: "You better fix the situation before we leave and your country descends into chaos." He should consider the more likely result: an American exit date crushing any incentive for Iraqi leaders to cooperate and instead prompting rival factions to position themselves to capitalize on the looming power void.

My experience in Iraq bore this out. Only after my unit established a meaningful relationship with the president of the Samarra city council -- built on tangible security improvements and a commitment to cooperation -- did political progress occur. Our relationship fostered unforeseen political opportunities and encouraged leaders, even ones from rival tribes, to side with American and Iraqi forces against
local insurgents and foreign fighters.

· We can bring the war to a "responsible end" but still conduct counterterrorism operations.

The problem with this argument is what a "responsible end" would mean. What is "responsible" about the large-scale bloodshed that would surely occur if we left the Iraqis behind with insufficient security forces? What is "responsible" about proving al-Qaeda's thesis that America can be defeated anywhere with enough suicide bombings?

The senator also seems to believe that America will have success fighting terrorists in Iraq with a minimal troop presence, despite the fact that 150,000 troops have their hands full right now doing precisely that.

· We are "supporting the troops" by demanding an immediate withdrawal
from Iraq.

Levin says that "our troops should hear an unequivocal message from Congress that we support them." He explains his vote to fund and "support" the troops while simultaneously trying to legislate the war's end. But what kind of "support" and "unequivocal message" do the troops hear from leaders in Congress who call their commanders "incompetent" or declare the war "lost"?

Such statements provide nearly instant enemy propaganda to every mud hut with a
satellite dish in Iraq and throughout the Arab world. These messages do not spell support, no matter how you spin them. And they could inspire insurgents, making the situation more dangerous for our soldiers and Marines.

The troops have been saying these things for months, if not years, and yet the Dem Cong refuse to listen. So much for their "support". The Democrat American Communist Party only "supports" the troops when it can benefit them politically, nothing more.

To the Left, the military is a tool, filled with tools.

To the military, the Left is a bunch of traitorous scum who don't deserve to live in America.

So you say you want a fatwa?

I think I just found the way for you to get one called on you. Heh.

BURN D.C.!

Burn it to the ground. Fire every last parasitic bastard in that city. Either fire them from their job, or fire them from a cannon into the Atlantic Ocean. Both would be fine with me.

Why would I say things like this? Why would I love to see the Capitol Building demolished? Hmmmmm....

Oh. Maw. GAWD!

Seriously. Is there any other way to take this other than the Left is so batshit crazy that they can't even be trusted with a dull pair of scissors? Check this lunatic out - from Huffington Post:

You could argue that even the world’s worst fascist dictators at least meant well. They honestly thought were doing good things for their countries by suppressing blacks/eliminating Jews/eradicating free enterprise/repressing individual thought/killing off rivals/invading neighbors, etc. Only the Saudi royal family is driven by the same motives as Bush, but they were already entrenched. Bush set a new precedent. He came into office with the attitude of “I’m so tired of the public good. What about my good? What about my rich friends’ good?”

How can anyone not see it? It’s not that their policies have been misguided or haven’t played out right. They. Don’t. Even. Mean. Well.

Go read the link. I'll be here, picking my jaw up off the floor.

This is a mainstream Leftist website. This isn't the fringe. This isn't just a few loons, this is representative of the Democrat American Communist Party as a whole and it is PLAIN BATSHIT INSANE! Somebody just said that Bush is worse than Hitler because Hitler at least meant well.

Holy. Shit. This is not sane. This is not normal. This isn't even in the same damn SOLAR SYSTEM as normal.

Dear God, these people vote! No wonder this country is slowly going to hell in a handbasket!

Another Essay by Kim du Toit

One you need to go read.

This past week, I’ve engaged in several discussions both here and at other sites about how national emergency or calamity causes the power of the State to grow, and whether (in America’s case) this growth of power is either Constitutional or not.

The fact is that we’ve always struggled with this phenomenon, and the great strength of our nation is that we find compromise—indeed, what sets us apart from the rest of the world is our ability to do so. Where in Europe, the growth of the modern State has been a story of pretty much unchecked movement thereto, and elsewhere likewise, whether through an entrenched ruling class, theocracy or soviet institution, the growth of the State has been kept in check to a marked degree, by the popular effort.

This is not going to be seen by minarchists, anarchists and populists as being correct, of course, given that they tend to view the growth of State power as both dire and inexorable; but I have faith that in the end, the power of We The People to restrain the State will endure.

Let me start by giving a small historical example.

It only gets better. If you only read one blog post today, make it that one.

Noche de San Juan

So, there's a celebration going on tonight called "Noche de San Juan". Big party in San Juan. Lots of music, drinking, yada yada yada.

I would actually be happy about it, if it weren't for the fact that half of San Juan has decided to take the day off in preparation of the party. To include every single muffler shop in San Juan.

Guess who needed to get a muffler today? Yeah. Me.

Dammit. I should have figured out that a city that closes down completely on Father's Day would use any excuse to not work and go drink beer.

Friday, June 22, 2007

Oh dear Lord, not again!

Remember when the Democrat American Communist Party put up a picture of a soldier to claim they supported the troops? Only the picture they put up was of a Canadian soldier?

Uh huh. Bela Pelosi is at it again. Why should I believe any claim that the Democrat American Communist Party supports our troops when they obviously have no clue WHAT OUR TROOPS EVEN LOOK LIKE?!?!?! Like "Yeah, uh, you brave, patriotic babykillers, I support you! What's that say on your uniform? C-A-N-A-D-A.... what's that stand for? That's an acronym, right?"

Any claim of support from the Democrat American Communist Party can be tossed aside as false.

Once more, with feeling!

The liberal, Democrat American Communist Party Supporting, agenda pushing media is not your friend!

The Media is so invested in American defeat that they will push any story that will demoralize the people back home. Period. End of story. Luckily, we've got people there who can and do report the truth, rather than yet another analogy of Viet Nam that the Has-Been Media loves.

Uh....... Wow.

I knew that America didn't want to allow the Shamnesty Bill. I knew that the majority of Americans disagreed with D.C. on how to deal with illegal aliens.

But, just... wow.

Americans give both President Bush and the Congress failing marks on their handling of immigration, according to a new UPI/Zogby poll on the topic.

The Zogby Interactive poll of 8,300 adults nationwide finds just 3% of Americans viewing Congress’s handling of the immigration issue in favorable terms, while 9% say the same of the President-even as respondents in the survey rated it the second most important issue facing the country, after the war in Iraq.

At this point, I'm willing to vote against any idiot who signs on to this travesty. Right Wing News has a plan to oppose any congresscritter who signs onto it. People are pissed off. Even if it finally dies as it should, I don't know if the people who proposed it will survive their next election cycle.

Which is fine with me. Anyone so brainless and fuck-witted as to bring this Shamnesty Bill up needs to be tossed out of Congress on their ass.

To add onto my wife's post

Who needs loopholes when you don't even enforce the laws you have?

I mean, when an illegal alien gets popped for his FOURTH FUCKING DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, and he wasn't jailed or deported for the FIRST THREE TIMES HE WAS DRIVING DRUNK, who the hell needs loopholes?

When the Mexican government and the US government are working together to provide medical care to illegal aliens, WHO THE HELL NEEDS LOOPHOLES?

In order for loopholes in the law to have any kind of meaning, you first have to ENFORCE THE DAMN LAWS! Something that the US government has failed to do, INTENTIONALLY.

And they wonder why we don't want any part of their shamnesty bill? Huh. Go figure.

Immigration reform

My father sent me the loopoles, listed below, for the Immigration reform bill. Now, these may or may not be valid.

I have my own Immigration reform I would like to propose

1 Any employer guilty of employing more than 1% illegal immigrants as their workforce would have the following happen their business license will be permanently revoked,
2 all of their assetts would be seized to pay for border patrol
3 the illegal immigrants in their employ would be fingerprinted and have a felony on their record for forging federal identification documents, including a social security card
4 due to #3 they would never be allowed US Citizenship, to come here as a legal immigrant, or even given a work visit
5 all illegal aliens would be deported
6 all "anchor babies" would be given dual citizen ship, but would be deported with their parents. They would not supply benefits to their illegal parents.
7 all US Armed forces and Goverment agencies would have war games with paint balls on the 10 miles of US soil parellel to the US/Mexico border.

I would add to this amendments for all aliens

1 If you are not a bonafide US Citizen you will not receive any benenfits (welfare, SS, unemployment, unified health care)
2 All aliens must learn english with in 6 months of entering the US work force, otherwise they will not get it re up'd
3 no official government form, signs, or education shall be done in any language other than (US) English

My reasoning for the above measures are as follows:

1 I have heard it many times, and firmly agree that if you take away the jobs, then the illegal immigrants will not have a reason to come, so we make hiring illegal immigrants too high of a risk
2 If you take away opportunities, they will not come
3 I think it just sounds like fun
Not to mention, it would make it far more likely for wetbacks to be discovered as they cross the border illegally.
4 The official language of the US is English, not Spanish, and shall remain this way as long as I have something to say about it!!!!

Think about it

20 Loopholes in the Senate Immigration Bill

  • Loophole 1 – Legal Status Before Enforcement:

Amnesty benefits do not wait for the “enforcement trigger.” After filing an application and waiting 24 hours, illegal aliens will receive full “probationary benefits,” complete with the ability to legally live and work in the U.S., travel outside of the U.S. and return, and their own social security card. Astonishingly, if the trigger is never met and amnesty applications are therefore never “approved,” the probationary benefits granted to the illegal alien population never expire, and the new social security cards issued to the illegal alien population are not revoked. [See pp. 1, 290-291, & 315].

  • Loophole 2 – U.S. VISIT Exit Not In Trigger:

The “enforcement trigger,” required to be met before the new temporary worker program begins, does not require that the exit portion of U.S. VISIT system – the biometric border check-in/check-out system first required by Congress in 1996 that is already well past its already postponed 2005 implementation due date – to be in place before new worker or amnesty programs begin. Without the U.S. VISIT exit portion, the U.S. has no method to ensure that workers (or their visiting families) do not overstay their visas. Our current illegal population contains 4 to 5.5 million visa overstays, therefore, we know that the U.S. VISIT exit component is key to a successful new temporary worker program. [See pp. 1-2].

  • Loophole 3 – Trigger Requires No More Agents, Beds, or Fencing Than Current Law:

The “enforcement trigger” does not require the Department of Homeland Security to have detention space sufficient to end “catch and release” at the border and in the interior. Even after the adoption of amendment 1172, the trigger merely requires the addition of 4,000 detention beds, bringing DHS to a 31,500 bed capacity. This is far short of the 43,000 beds required under current law to be in place by the end of 2007, or the additional 20,000 beds required later in the bill. Additionally, the bill establishes a “catch, pay, and release” program. This policy will benefit illegal aliens from countries other than Mexico that are caught at the border, then can post a $5,000 bond, be released and never show up for deportation hearings. Annual failure to appear rates for 2005 and 2006, caused in part by lack of detention space, doubled the 2004 rate (106,000 – 110,000 compared with 54,000). Claims that the bill “expands fencing” are inaccurate. The bill only requires 370 miles of fencing to be completed, while current law already mandates that more than 700 miles be constructed [See pp. 1-2, & 10-11, and EOIR’s FY2006 Statistical Yearbook, p. H2, and The Secure Fence Act of 2004].

  • Loophole 4 -- Three Additional Years Worth of Illegal Aliens Granted Status, Treated Preferentially To Legal Filers:

Aliens who broke into the country illegally a mere 5 months ago, are treated better than foreign nationals who legally applied to come to the U.S. more than two years ago. Aliens who can prove they were illegally in the U.S. on January 1, 2007, are immediately eligible to apply from inside the U.S. for amnesty benefits, while foreign nationals that filed applications to come to the U.S. after May 1, 2005 must start the application process over again from their home countries. Last year’s bill required illegal aliens to have been here before January 7, 2004 to qualify for permanent legal status. [See pp. 263, 282, & 306].

  • Loophole 5 – Completion of Background Checks Not Required For Probationary Legal Status:

Legal status must be granted to illegal aliens 24 hours after they file an application, even if the aliens have not yet “passed all appropriate background checks.” (Last year’s bill gave DHS 90 days to check an alien’s background before any status was granted). No legal status should be given to any illegal alien until all appropriate background checks are complete. [See pp. 290].

  • Loophole 6 – Some Child Molesters Are Still Eligible:

Some aggravated felons – those who have sexually abused a minor – are eligible for amnesty. A child molester who committed the crime before the bill is enacted is not barred from getting amnesty if their conviction document omitted the age of the victim. The bill corrects this loophole for future child molesters, but does not close the loophole for current or past convictions. [See p. 47: 30-33, & p. 48: 1-2]

  • Loophole 7 – Terrorism Connections Allowed, Good Moral Character Not Required:

Illegal aliens with terrorism connections are not barred from getting amnesty. An illegal alien seeking most immigration benefits must show “good moral character.” Last year’s bill specifically barred aliens with terrorism connections from having “good moral character” and being eligible for amnesty. This year’s bill does neither. Additionally, bill drafters ignored the Administration’s request that changes be made to the asylum, cancellation of removal, and withholding of removal statutes in order to prevent aliens with terrorist connections from receiving relief. [Compare §204 in S. 2611 from the 109th Congress with missing §204 on p. 48 of S.A. 1150, & see missing subsection (5) on p. 287 of S.A. 1150].

  • Loophole 8 – Gang Members Are Eligible:

Instead of ensuring that members of violent gangs such as MS 13 are deported after coming out of the shadows to apply for amnesty, the bill will allow violent gang members to get amnesty as long as they “renounce” their gang membership on their application. [See p. 289: 34-36].

  • Loophole 9 – Absconders Are Eligible:

Aliens who have already had their day in court – those subject to final orders of removal, voluntary departure orders, or reinstatement of their final orders of removal – are eligible for amnesty under the bill. The same is true for aliens who have made a false claim to citizenship or engaged in document fraud. More than 636,000 alien fugitives could be covered by this loophole. [See p. 285:19-22 which waives the following inadmissibility grounds: failure to attend a removal proceeding; final orders of removal for alien smuggling; aliens unlawfully present after previous immigration violations or deportation orders; and aliens previously removed. This appears to conflict with language on p. 283:40-41. When a direct conflict appears in a statute, the statue is interpreted by the courts to the benefit of the alien.].

  • Loophole 10 – Learning English Not Required For A Decade:

Illegal aliens are not required to demonstrate any proficiency in English for more than a decade after they are granted amnesty. Learning English is not required for an illegal alien to receive probationary benefits, the first 4-year Z visa, or the second 4-year Z visa. The first Z visa renewal (the second 4-year Z visa) requires only that the alien demonstrate an “attempt” to learn English by being “on a waiting list for English classes.” Passing a basic English test is required only for a second Z visa renewal (the third 4-year Z visa), and even then the alien only has to pass the test “prior to the expiration of the second extension of Z status” (12 years down the road). [See pp. 295-296].

  • Loophole 11 – Earned Income Tax Credit Will Cost Taxpayers Billions In Just 10 Years:

Current illegal aliens and new guest workers will be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, a refundable tax credit designed to encourage American citizens and legal permanent residents to work. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this loophole will cost the U.S. taxpayer up to $20 billion dollars in just the first 10 years after the bill’s enactment. To be consistent with the intent of the 1996 welfare reforms – which limited new immigrants from receiving public benefits until they had been legal permanent residents for five years – the bill should withhold EITC eligibility from amnestied aliens until they become legal permanent residents. Closing this loophole will save the taxpayers billions of dollars. [See p. 293 after S.A. 1190 was adopted, p. 307, p. 315, §606. All that is required for EITC eligibility is a social security number and resident alien status. Nothing in the bill’s tax provisions limit EITC eligibility. The issuance of social security numbers to aliens as soon as they apply for amnesty will ensure they are able to qualify for the EITC.]

  • Loophole 12 – Affidavits From Friends Accepted As Evidence:

Records from day-labor centers, labor unions, and “sworn declarations” from any non-relative (acquaintances, friends, coworkers, etc) are to be accepted as evidence that the illegal alien has satisfied the bill’s amnesty requirements. This low burden of proof will invite fraud and more illegal immigration – even aliens who are not yet in the U.S. will likely meet this burden of proof. DHS will not have the resources to examine whether the claims contained in the “sworn declarations” of the alien’s friends (that the alien was here prior to January 1, 2007 and is currently employed) are actually valid. [See p. 293: 13-16].

  • Loophole 13 – Taxpayer Funded Legal Counsel and Arbitration:

Free legal counsel and the fees and expenses of arbitrators will be provided to aliens that have been working illegally in agriculture. The U.S. taxpayer will fund the attorneys that help these individuals fill out their amnesty applications. Additionally, if these individuals have a dispute with their employer over whether they were fired for “just cause,” DHS will “pay the fee and expenses of the arbitrator.” [See p. 339:37-41, & p. 332: 37-38.]

  • Loophole 14 – In-State Tuition and Student Loans:

In-state tuition and other higher education benefits, such as Stafford Loans, will be made available to current illegal aliens that are granted initial “probationary” status, even if the same in-state tuition rates are not offered to all U.S. citizens. This would normally violate current law (8 U.S.C. §1623) which mandates that educational institutions give citizens the same postsecondary education benefits they offer to illegal aliens. [See p. 321: 8-31].

  • Loophole 15 – Inadequacy of the Merit System:

The “merit system,” designed to shift the U.S. green card distribution system to attract higher skilled workers that benefit the national interest, is only a shell of what it should have been. Though the merit system begins immediately, it will not increase the percentage of high skilled immigrants coming to the United States until 2016, 8 years after enactment. Of the 247,000 green cards dedicated to the merit based system each year for the first 5 years, 100,000 green cards will be reserved for low-skilled guest workers (10,000) and for clearing the current employment based green card backlog (90,000). From 2013 to 2015, the number of merit based green cards drops to 140,000, and of that number, 100,000 green cards are still reserved each year for low-skilled guest workers (10,000) and for clearing the current employment based green card backlog (90,000). Even after 2015, when the merit system really begins (in 2016) by having 380,000 green cards annually, 10,00 green cards will be reserved specifically for low skilled workers, and points will be given for many characteristics that are not considered “high-skilled.” For example, 16 points will be given for aliens in “high demand occupations” which includes janitors, maids, food preparation workers, and groundskeepers. [See p.260: 25 – p. 261: 20, p. 262, & The Department of Labor’s list of “occupations with the largest job growth” available at www.bls.gov/emp/emptab3.htm].

  • Loophole 16 – Visas For Individuals That Plan To Overstay:

The new “parent” visa contained in the bill which allows parents of citizens, and the spouses and children of new temporary workers, to visit a worker in the United States is not only a misnomer, but also an invitation for high rates of visa overstays. This new visa specifically allows the spouse and children of new temporary workers who intend to abandon their residence in a foreign country, to qualify to come to the U.S. to “visit.” The visa requires only a $1,000 bond, which will be forfeited when, not if, family members of new temporary workers decide to overstay their 30 day visit. Workers should travel to their home countries to visit their families, not the other way around. [See p. 277:1 – 33, and p. 276: 38-43].

  • Loophole 17 – Chain Migration Tippled Before Being Eliminated:

Though the bill will eventually eliminate chain migration (relatives other than spouses and children of citizens and legal permanent residents), it will not have full effect until 2016. Until then, chain migration into the U.S. will actually triple, from approximately 138,000 chain migrants a year (equal to 14% of the 1 million green cards the U.S. currently distributes on an annual basis) to approximately 440,000 chain migrants a year (equal to 45% of the 1 million green cards the U.S. currently distributes on an annual basis). [See pp. 260:13, p. 270: 29 – pp. 271: 17]

  • Loophole 18 – Back Taxes Not Required:

Last year’s bill required illegal aliens to prove they had paid three of their last five years of taxes to get amnesty. This year, payment of back taxes is not required for amnesty. The bill requires taxes to be paid at the time of application for a green card, but at that time, only proof of payment of Federal taxes (not state and local) is required for the years the alien worked on a Z visa, not the years the alien has already worked illegally in the United States. Though Senator McCain’s S.A. 1190, adopted by voice vote, claimed to “require undocumented immigrants receiving legal status to pay owed back taxes,” the amendment actually only required proof of payment of taxes for “any year during the period of employment required by subparagraph (D)(i).” Since the bill does not contain a subparagraph (D)(i), nor require any past years of employment as a prerequisite for amnesty, the amendment essentially only requires proof of payment of taxes for future work in the U.S., not payment of “back taxes.” [See p. 307, and p. 293 as altered by S.A. 1190, amendment p. 2: 19-20.]

  • Loophole 19 – Social Security Credits Allowed For Some Illegal Work Histories:

Aliens who came to the U.S. on legal visas, but overstayed their visas and have been working in the U.S. for years, as well as illegal aliens who apply for Z visa status but do not qualify, will be able to collect social security credits for the years they worked illegally. Under the bill, if an alien was ever issued a social security account number – all work-authorized aliens who originally came on legal visas receive these – the alien will receive Social Security credits for any “quarters of coverage” the alien worked after receiving their social security account number. Because the bill requires social security account numbers to be issued “promptly” to illegal aliens as soon as they are granted “any probationary benefits based upon application [for Z status]” (these benefits are granted 24 hours after the application is filed), an illegal alien who is denied Z visa status but continues to work illegally in the U.S. will accumulate Social Security credits. [See pp. 316:8 – 16, and pp. 315: 32-39]

  • Loophole 20 – Criminal Fines Not Proportional To Conduct:

The criminal fines an illegal alien is required to pay to receive amnesty are less than the bill’s criminal fines for paperwork violations committed by U.S. citizens, and can be paid by installment. Under the bill, an illegal alien must pay a $1,000 criminal fine to apply for a Z visa, and a $4,000 fine to apply for a green card. Eighty percent of those fines can be paid on an installment plan. Under the bill’s confidentiality provisions, someone who improperly handles or uses information on an alien’s amnesty application can be fined $10,000. Administration officials suggest that the bill’s “criminal fines are proportionate to the criminal conduct.” Why, then, is the fine for illegally entering, using false documents to work, and live one-tenth the fine for a paperwork violation committed by a government official? Busy

Yeah. Today sucks. Tomorrow ain't looking so good either.

But, if you're in a good mood and want to stay that way, I highly recommend not reading this. Or this, which I found at the same webpage as the first link.

I really think some people should just be allowed to fall on their face. And if they refuse to pick themselves up, we should have no obligation to do it for them.

Economic Indicators

Folks, there's a damn good post up at Kim du Toit's that stems from this post. It's a must read for any and all who have to deal with socialists and members of the Democrat American Communist Party. (but I repeat myself)

I work at a brokerage that has about 150 clients, almost all of whom qualify as high net worth investors. Since the last election we’ve all joked about the Republicans losing all reins of government, the appearance of the nanny state, and what will happen to American initiative. All conversations included a paragraph or so of stock liquidation. Until last week this was all talk. On Thursday last three of our clients began slowly liquidating their stocks with the intention of being out of the market within a month. The talk is rampant, but so far it’s mainly talk. So far…

The main problem with taxing wealth excessively is that wealth can move. These guys are all a keystroke or a signed document away from being residents and citizens of Dubai or any one five or six other countries. It CAN happen here; unlikely but a possibility.

The Free Market will not be denied. And if you try to deny it, the Free Market will move somewhere else. Which means that the capital that we as a country use to keep our economy moving will not be there when we need it. If you tax the hell out of someone, that person will do whatever they can to keep more of their own hard-earned money in their pockets and out of the greedy, clutching hands of the gummint. And that means moving their money to a country that won't take it from them hand over fist.

Well, just where do you think the money for loans comes from? Where do you think investment capital comes from? Do you think that banks own all that money they deal with? Hell no. That money belongs to someone else. When I put my money into a CD or a savings account, the reason the bank pays me interest is because THEY ARE USING MY MONEY. They use it to give out loans, or to conduct other business. The interest I accrue is my payment for allowing the bank to use my money.

Now, if the gummint decides that I have too much money in my savings account, and they take a big chunk of it, what reasons do I have for keeping my money in that bank? Why wouldn't I take my money out of a US bank and invest it offshore somewhere else that won't take as much in taxes?

Here's a Capital Gains tax calculator you can use to find out just how much money the gummint will take from you if you sold some stocks today. If the Democrat American Communist Party gets their way, your Capital Gains tax rate is going to skyrocket. And you can bet your bottom dollar that before that tax hike kicks in, people are going to be selling their stocks left and right so that they can move their money somewhere else.

Pray for President Bush to veto a whole bunch of spending bills from Congress. And remember just who you want to deal with in 2008.
