Do you know what today is?

December 7th. Sixty-five years ago today, the Japanese Imperial Navy attacked Pearl Harbor and pulled the USA into World War Two.

I don't think I need to remind anyone of what happened in the years following.

So take a moment today and say a prayer for all those that lost their lives in Pearl Harbor, Schofield Barracks, and other military bases on Oahu.

I am purposely keeping this post non-political, so please don't extrapolate anything in the comments. This is to remember the fallen, nothing more.

The Defeatocrats

Or as I like to call them (as if you didn't notice) the American Communist Party, willing to bring America down by any means necessary.

Democratic leaders are poised to gut America’s missile defense - at the same time North Korea and Iran are testing long-range missiles that can strike the U.S. and its allies, including Israel, Japan and Britain.

The incoming chairman of the Senate’s Armed Services Committee is Carl Levin. Levin, a Michigan Democrat, has long been a foe of missile defense. In 1980s, he worried that President Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative — which aimed to develop technology to destroy Soviet missiles during all phases of flight — was “destabilizing.”

Today Sen. Levin sings the same tune in a different key. “They’ve not done the operational testing yet that is convincing,” said Senator Levin during a post-election press conference. He was referring to the Ground based Missile Defense [GMD] system being installed in Alaska and California, to defend against North Korean missiles. He added that he favors stalling purchases of interceptor missiles - vital for missile defense — until after testing is complete.

In short, Sen. Levin and other longtime opponents of missile defense plan to use “testing” - set to an unrealistically high level - to stop missile defense.

Now, these are the same feckless jellyfish who constantly kiss up to dictators and thugs the world around. Their leaders and mentors kiss up to communists every chance they get, and they have a historical track record of destroying our military, either through cutting funding or simply putting our troops in a no-win situation. Now it looks like they're going to kill the very system that could protect us from crazy nutjobs with nukes like Kimmy Dimmy Ding Dong or Iranian theocrat Mahmoud Amahmentaljob.

Gee, great.

Zell Miller had it right: if the Dems get their way, our troops will be armed with nothing more lethal than spitballs. The “stability”-obsessed chickenshits can whine all they like about that “soft on defense” label, but they damned sure got it the old fashioned way: they earned it. And they’re going to keep right on earning it next session of Congress, you betcher. It’s the men that carry the guns for the rest of us that’ll suffer for Democrat obtuseness and negligence, as usual; good thing those folks are all too damned stupid and desperate to know the difference, right, libs?

When every action they take goes against the best intrests of this country, then they can be called anti-American. Plain and simple.

Why I don't buy many poltical books

Because most of them are full of crap. Especially ones written by insane moonbat ex-presidents.

President Carter's book on the Middle East, a title too inflammatory to even print, is not based on unvarnished analyses; it is replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions, and simply invented segments. Aside from the one-sided nature of the book, meant to provoke, there are recollections cited from meetings where I was the third person in the room, and my notes of those meetings show little similarity to points claimed in the book. Being a former President does not give one a unique privilege to invent information or to unpack it with cuts, deftly slanted to provide a particular outlook.

Ouch. But then, Jimmah Cah-duh has been showing his ass on a regular basis ever since Bush 43 was elected. I don't know if it's just senility or if he's actually an anti-American idiot. Right now, I would say he's an anti-American idiot, given that he's french-kissed just about every anti-American commie dictator he could get his hands on. Castro, Chavez, Kimmy Dimmy Ding Dong, any communist who spews out their hatred of America gets a big 'ol hug from Jimmah.

He's a special kind of guy, ain't he?

Something else I wanted to bring to your attention is this little post about the Rules of Engagement in Iraq. (Found at Instapundit)

Consider the psychology of the warrior. Even if not a single Soldier or Marine had died as a result of hesitation due to ROE (that is, even if this danger is only potential and has not become actualized), the psychology of fear has set in. Not fear of the enemy, but fear of firing a weapon. This fear can cause hesitation, and even the enemy knows the U.S. ROE and can and has taken advantage of them. Hence, there is increased danger for our troops, and they know it.

What we need are robust rules of engagement. What we have are confused Soldiers and Marines, afraid to fire their weapons.

If we lose this war, and I am open to the possibility that we can lose it.... if we lose this war, it will be for the exact same reasons that we lost Viet Nam and Somalia:

Because the Dimocrats, the American Communist Party, and their enablers, will have brought about the downfall of the troops. The Dimocrats and their enablers will have prevented the American military from doing their job. Just like when LBJ poked at a map and said "Y'all cain't bomb heyar, and y'all cain't bomb heyar", thus putting most of North Viet Nam (including Hanoi) off limits to our bombers, it will be the Dimocrats who will not allow the military to do their job in Iraq.

When you prevent the troops from doing their job, you simply turn them into targets. That that's how you lose a war.

Does Bush deserve some blame? Oh, certainly. He could have ended a lot of the bullshit some time ago by calling the American Communists into the carpet and having them explain their lies in front of a TV camera. Instead, what we have had was six years of lies, smears, mudslinging, and falsehoods from the American Communists, and it's hurt us as a country. Now the American Communist Party has won control of Congress, and it's only going to get worse. So yes, I think we can lose the war on Terror, just like we lost Viet Nam. And we can lay it all out at the feet of the very same people. Literally.

Remember folks, the Dimocrats aren't anti-war, they're just on the other side.

I want one Dimocrat to prove him wrong

cause it ain't gonna happen.

Democrats' devious deeds are too numerous to be fully recounted, but here at least are some of the highlights:

* They have tried to prevent us from listening on terrorists' phone calls
* They have sought to stop us from properly interrogating captured terrorists
* They have tried to stop us from monitoring terrorists' financial transactions
* They have revealed the existence of secret national security programs
* They have opposed vital components of the Patriot Act
* They have sought to confer unmerited legal rights on terrorists
* They have opposed profiling to identify the terrorists in our midst
* They have impugned and demeaned our military
* They have insinuated that the president is a war criminal
* They have forced the resignation of a committed defense secretary
* They have repeatedly tried to de-legitimize our war effort
* They want to quit the battlefield in the midst of war.

Well, when I call the Dimocrats a bunch of anti-American communists, do you think I'm just using hyperbole?

To see just how bad things really are, ponder this question: If the terrorists were represented by a party in our political system, how would their foreign policy program substantially differ from that of the present-day democrats?

Wait a second here... IF the terrorists were represented by a party in our political system? Just what does he mean, "IF"? The terrorists are represented by a party, and it's the Dimocrats. Because if it hurts Bush and make American look bad, the Dimocrats are A-OK with it.

Go read the whole thing, folks. And contemplate just how truly screwed we are with the American Communist Party taking power in January.

Who woulda thunk it?

fwance can launch an onslaught! Too bad it's against rebels in a country that was victim to fwench imperialism.

Oh yeah, that thing that nobody ever talks about: other countries actually practicing imperialism. I guess they're too busy howling about supposed American imperialism to focus on, y'know, REAL imperialsim.

Or maybe is just the fact that the people screaming about American "imperialism" are a bunch of brain-dead, kool-aid guzzing, retarded fucksticks who are too stupid to be allowed to breed.

Maybe.

Wicked cool!

Wanna go to the moon? All you youngsters out there better get ready, because we'll be in space relatively soon.

Hey, have you heard what Gates said?

I bet if you've been checking out the headlines, what you've seen is "GATES SAYS US NOT WINNING IN IRAQ!!!!! QUAGMIRE! VIET NAM! OH, THE HUMANITY!"

When in fact, he said we're neither winning nor losing. Gosh, what media bias?

By the way, since the American Communists will be taking power next January, you can expect more of the same, tired, recycled bullshit from them, only this time thrown with greater force since they've proven they can win with it. I don't know if this country can stand two years of anti-American communists at the helm. I guess we'll find out.

As for the rest of the news

Quite honestly, my blood pressure needed a break. It's not a good thing when you walk into a doctor's office and he asks "GOOD GOD, what have you been DOING to yourself?!?!"

I'm livin' the life, doc!

Gah. Back to surfing around the web looking for Christmas presents.

OK, OK, here's one story that I'll pass along: The Navy has told San Francisco to take a hike.

Damn, it's about time. I say we just build a fifty foot wall around the city and fill it with water. Let it peel off and form it's own little communist city-state. That way, when it completely goes to hell, we can just sit back and laugh, rather than pull it out of the pit that it's been digging for the past five decades.

Let's talk quarterbacks

What is up with Rex Grossman? If Chicago didn't have a good D, they'd be 6-6 right now. Grossman isn't doing his team any favors.

Eli Manning - at least he didn't lose the game this week. The defense did that.

Vick gets a win. Now if his receivers can actually keep catching the ball, they can win a few more. But the way the Falcons are playing, they should just hike the ball and have the entire offense block for Vick. They'd get more yards that way.

Hasselback - *sigh* I've been rooting for the Seahawks since 1984, but I have to admit that if they played in the NFC East instead of the NFC West, they'd be in the middle of their division instead of at the top.

Still, I'm enjoying watching him play again. We'll see what happens come playoff time.

Jay Cutler - I don't care if he's the second coming of John Frigging Elway, it was too early to start him. He should been seasoned a bit more before he was tossed into the meat grinder.

So, Brittany Spears flashed her naughty bits....

Folks....

WHO CARES!?!?!?!?!

Let me see if I can sum up how I feel about this, shall we?

Brittany Spears is a totally and completely made-up talent, taken from the backwoods of the South and turned into a plastic pop princess. Her music isn't really even hers, it's been written and created by someone else and she's just told to sing it. She's told what to sing, how to sing, how to dress, how to dance, how to act, and the producers counted on young men drooling over her to make money with her fake act. Do you think she dressed like a cheap slut by accident? Hell no, she was TOLD to dress that way, and it worked. She made people MILLIONS.

She can nominally be called a musician, but I wouldn't call her an artist by any stretch.

Now, you have a plastic princess who's used her 15 minutes of fame to date Justin Timberlake (boy, did he ever dodge a bullet, eh?), marry a sleazy little backup dancing fuckstick, get knocked up with the fuckstick's spawn, and act like a trailer-trash floozy. Now, the sleazy backup dancing fuckstick has shown himself to be the lower lifeform we all said he was, the music career is pretty much gone, and Brit wants to find a way to get back in the papers. So what does she do? She flashes a piece of flesh that's so used up right now that I don't even want to think about it, much less look at it.

You know, I actually feel somewhat sorry for Brittany Spears right about now. She was used. She was used by people who wanted her to act like a slut because they knew it would make money. She was built up by the music companies, rode hard, and put away wet. And you know what's worse? Her parents allowed her to be used. I guess they cared more about the money that her well being.

So now that she's yesterday's news, she's trying to get back to page one. But the actions and behavior that people found appealing when she was 17 doesn't have the same effect. Maybe it's because instead of fantasizing about her, they realize that she has two kids, and that her going out drinking with two other sleazy wenches isn't the best example of parenthood. Maybe it's the fact that her soon-to-be ex is such a worthless bottom feeder that NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY wants to be with her after him. Kinda like getting into a hot tub right after a leper has finished using it. Thanks but no thanks, and I want to go get an antibiotics shot for just thinking about that subject.

Anyways, here's my bottom line: I don't want to see Ms. Spears. Ever. I'd be happy if she would go back to Louisiana and stay silent for the rest of her natural life. For that matter, I don't want to see, hear, or know about Paris Hilton. How in the name of all that's holy can a skinny blonde skanky whore be in the news so much? I don't get it. I guess I never will. And Lindsey Lohann (I don't care if it's spelled wrong) was good looking before she went for the crackwhore look. Here's a hint, Lindsy: If I can see your shoulder joints sticking out from across the room, you need to EAT A FUCKING CHEESEBURGER! I can't stand all three of them at this point.

Gah. I need to go shower after this post.

By the way, if you want to know my opinion about skinny women, it can be found here.

I know I've been AWOL

Whaddya gonna do? Stop paying me?

That's part of my job. Some days I have time on my hands, and some days I'm so damn busy that I have to steal time just to breathe. That's life. Anyways, I've got a few links for you to peruse at your convenience.

First up, via Cold Fury, is the Alabama Liberation Front, with "Everybody knows....", yet another hard look at the sheeple in the MSM.

Thus, whatever liberals generally believe at any given time can be understood to function as conventional wisdom within the media. "Everybody knows" that Bush is stupid, that Cheney is a fascist warmonger, and that the GOP is under the control of neocons, Halliburton and "Christianists." Most of all, "everybody knows" that the war in Iraq is another Vietnam -- a "quagmire" in need of "an exit strategy."

It's Heaven's Gate, you see? Cult members knew that there was a spaceship behind that comet, because one could not believe otherwise and remain a member. To the extent that they actually studied the facts about the Hale-Bopp comet (and they were fairly obsessed with it), they did so only with the purpose of finding "evidence" to confirm the unquestionable belief. And this backward way of thinking is deeply related to group psychology.

Whenever I feel the urge to pick up a newspaper, I have a mental image of the reporter covered in curly fleece, going "baaaaaaa!" while holding a notepad in their perfectly manicured hooves. I refuse to support the Dimocrat propaganda machine.

Up next: From Stop the ACLU, a video of the Westboro Baptist "Church" being chased away from a funeral.

Look, this "church" is only called a church in order to get a tax-exempt status. It's a "church" in the same way as the Aryan Nations had their "church" in which they preached their hate. It's not a church at all, it's a festival of hatred being spewed at America and all things associated with this country. And as far as I'm concerned, Fred Phelps is reason enough to make a fist to the nose of an asshole like him "free speech". Phelps is the worst type of manipulator; he knows the law better than most lawyers, and he uses that knowledge to do as many foul, vile things he possibly can and technically not break the law. Or let me put it this way: I would gladly go to jail for the chance to beat Phelps with an axe handle until the wood broke.

Go read through those two, if you would.

Good stuff

Captain Ed is on a roll, to the point where trying to pick out all the posts that need to be read would be futile. Just click and scroll.

So, about this letter

That Iranian leader Amahmentaljob sent to us Americans. Being a "Noble American", here's my response to it.

Dear President Amahmentaljob,

Thanks for the letter, but before we "dialogue", there are a few conditions you need to address.

Stop supporting terrorism.

Get your proxies out of Lebanon.

Stop calling for the destruction of Israel.

Stop building a nuclear weapon.

Once you've addressed those four concerns, then perhaps we can have a discussion that doesn't begin with me saying "So, how would you like your country to be radioactive for the next thousand years?" Until then, you can go piss up a rope.

Cordially yours,

Raging Dave

Andrea asks, Kim answers

Andrea:

I can get the attraction to Communism and its adherents — it was ostensibly all about the brotherhood of man, and raising the worker from oppression, and freedom from the shackles of conformity and poverty, and so on and so forth. In other words, it talked a great game about giving people more freedom, more progress into a better life in the here and now. Sure, it turned out to be a pack of lies, but they were such pretty lies.

But I don’t get for one minute what is the impetus behind the slavish adoration the liberal intelligentsia in the West has decided to give the Muslim terrorist groups.

Kim's answer:

So what does Blue America like about Islamic extremism? The fact that it’s not Western civilization. That it’s Islamic fascism opposing the Eeeeevil West is purely fortuitous. If our airliners were being hijacked and our buildings blown up by cannibalistic Sumatran separatists, you can be sure that the New York Times would soon be writing stories about the superiority of the Sumatran social system and diet to ours.

John Derbyshire’s delicious comment springs to mind: “Wherever there is a jackboot stomping on a human face there will be a well-heeled Western liberal to explain that the face does, after all, enjoy free health care and 100 percent literacy.”

The reason I call most Leftists anti-American is because they always seem to side with the enemies of America. When's the last time you saw people on the Left say "You know what? America is the best country in the world, despite our problems"?

Nothing comes to mind, does it? My point exactly. Instead, you have Cindy Sheehan hugging the anti-American communist Chavez, Jimmah Cah-duh fellating the anti-American dictator Castro, Code Pink doing the bidding of the anti-American communist Kim Jong Il, and hordes of Leftists calling America every hatefull thing in the book.

But don't question their patriotism! Yeah, right, sure.

UPDATE: Going through Andrea's blog, I found this absolute gem that I had to repost:

I’ve gotten kind of off the track here. That’s what these people do to me — they destroy my ability to concentrate. They do it with their piling up of the same old bricks of notions that we tear down — it’s as if every time you knocked down a wall of a derelict house someone came up behind you and started reassembling the rotten wood, the crumbling drywall, and the rusted rebar, meanwhile insisting that not only have you tried to destroy a perfectly good house, it is in its decayed, unlivable condition actually a better house than the one you were going to build with new mortar and fresh concrete — and furthermore, you never did knock down the house to begin with, there isn’t a house, you aren’t really there.

If that doesn't perfectly explain the Liberals, I don't know what does. That's brilliant.

It’s like dealing with a pack of five-year-olds who are so developmentally stunted that they will never be able to learn anything — every day it’s a repeat of the same old simple lessons: “wipe your bottom before you pull your underpants up, not after!”

Linky Love

Two articles that I thought worth reposting from Instapundit. First up, Thomas Sowell, on Who Really Cares.

Those on the left proclaimed their moral superiority in the 18th century and they continue to proclaim it in the 21st century. What is remarkable is how long it took for anyone to put that belief to the test -- and how completely it failed that test.

The two visions are different in another way. The vision of the left exalts the young especially as idealists while the more conservative vision warns against the narrowness and shallowness of the inexperienced. This study found young liberals to make the least charitable contributions of all, whether in money, time or blood. Idealism in words is not idealism in deeds.

It's an essay that shouldn't surprise anyone with half a brain, but it's well worth repeating, and has evidence to back it up.

Second, from a US Marine regarding Iraq: Go Native.

Iraq is too important to just leave in pieces for its neighbors to do what they will with it. The US political class is currently misreading the US election, thinking that it provides a mandate for withdrawal. Instead, it was a message of general discontent. It's time for dramatic changes. Why not go native?

The MSM lies, part 12,536,927

Don't trust the lying, gutless, anti-American traitors as far as you could throw them.

Yes, I question their patriotism. I question their sanity. They are rooting for America's enemies non-stop, and doing whatever they can to ensure that the terrorists win. They are anti-American pustules on this country's ass. They do nothing but lie and smear half-truths and outright falsehoods in order to prevent this country from winning a war.

They are traitors, and they should be treated as such.

By the way....

I'm back from the blogging hiatus, and pissed off to boot.

Just so y'all know.

Don't blame me,

blame him, with his quizzes and memes and dastardly plans!

Dear Dimocrats

Fuck you.

For every smear, for every lie they spread, for every insult that comes out of their mouths whenever they're open, I hope the Dimocrats get a collective case of food poisoning and spend the last few hours of their miserable, parasitic existence hunched over their toilets in pain and misery right before they fucking croak. We don't need a new election, we need a national de-worming.

Just die, Dimocrats. Die so that you stop polluting the world with your filth, you cesspool dwelling, lying, corrupt, worthless shitweasels.

Didya have a good Thanksgiving?

I have no idea how much food I ate, but I know how much was cooked, and I know how little of it we have left. We also managed to drop off dinners for the dozen people who were manning the gates here on post. I've been in their shoes before, and it's always nice to get some good food and a reminder that people are thinking about you.

I don't have anything real to blog about, because except for ESPN, I haven't been watching a single bit of news. And I'm doing that purposely, folks. I don't want to ruin my family's stay with bad news. Top that off with the fact that Fox News has been replaced by BBC World News (ugh!) by my local cable provider, and I'm thinking about dropping cable all together. I got cable for two reasons: Fox News, and Football. Once football season is over, what reason do I have to keep the cable?

Decisions, decisions.

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend. I'll once again be too damn busy to post much, but I should be back to normal sometime next week. Toodles!

Light Blogging Notice

I've got family flying in tonight for Thanksgiving. I'm going to be rather busy doing other things than sitting in front of a computer.

So if I don't blog til then, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Ohio State?

Yeah. Might as well chalk them up as NCAA cham-PEENS right about now. But if the Michigan defensive players hadn't forgotten to take their brains out on the field with their bodies and get a FIFTEEN FUCKING YARD PENALTY when they had Ohio St. on the ropes, I would be singing a different tune.

Hell, I don't really give a shit about either team. I'm a Wazzu fan. And let's just say that their season isn't a highlight reel right now.

Update: Right now, it's WSU 17, Washington 21. Just... CRAP!

So, John....

How's that anti-Wal Mart campaign going, anyways?

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Thursday that a staff member for former Sen. John Edwards — a vocal critic of the retailer — asked his local Wal-Mart store for help in getting the potential 2008 presidential candidate a Sony PlayStation 3.

Edwards claims it was a mistake.

Right. Uh huh.

I like to call this "Instant Justice"

The Dimocrat's Problems

Considering that the Dimocrats are the most corrupt asshats in America, the voters who put them in power should have seen this coming. God knows people have them enough warning.

Pelosi apparently wants to prove herself as worse than mediocre before taking the gavel from Hastert. I called Murtha an unforced error on Tuesday, and the more Murtha speaks publicly, the more obvious this becomes. Murtha is almost incoherent when on camera; he makes a terrible public face for the party. Murtha's power comes from his legendary ability to maneuver pork as rewards for allies and punishment for opponents, the exact kind of politics that Democrats claimed to oppose in the midterms last week.

And then there's Alcee Hastings, the man Pelosi wants to replace Harman as Intel chair. I started writing about Hastings in June, when his name first got floated as the potential chair for this committee, and I've mentioned him a few times since. Murtha might represent old-fashioned pork politics, but Hastings actually was corrupt enough to get impeached and removed from the federal bench -- by a Democratic Congress. If Murtha was an unforced error, Hastings is an embarrassing example of Pelosi's judgment. She needs the support of the Congressional Black Caucus to get elected Speaker, and they want Hastings to succeed Harman, if Harman doesn't get the chair. Pelosi can't afford to alienate them any further after she had the audacity to ask William Jefferson to resign from his committee assignments after the FBI found $90,000 in his freezer.

All of this re-enforces the point that the Dimocrats did not win this election; the Stupid Party lost it. But now the chickens are coming home to roost for the American Socialists.

Democrats are in a bad position. They can't afford to throw Pelosi under the bus after promoting her as the first woman Speaker in American history. They can't afford to have Hastings and Murtha in leadership positions and then face the voters in 2008 who wanted reform and change. They can't afford to undermine her authority and openly campaign for the reversal of Hastings' appointment and the failure of her Murtha endorsement.

Twist in the wind, you corrupt bastards. I'll be taking aim at you for the next two years.

Now this is what I call a good idea.

When a town council respectfully suggests that all households own a handgun and learn how to use it. The actual ordinance:

“In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, it is recommended that every head of household residing in the city limits maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore, and obtain appropriate training relating to proper, safe and lawful handling of firearms.”

I wish all the towns in America would do this. I really do.

This is the end.

WASHINGTON - Mississippi Sen. Trent Lott, ousted from the top Senate Republican leadership job four years ago because of remarks considered racially insensitive, won election to the No. 2 post Wednesday for the minority GOP in the next Congress.

Lott returned to the center of power by getting the position of vote-counting GOP whip, nosing out Sen. Lamar Alexander. Sen. Rick Santorum told reporters that Lott beat Alexander by a 25-24 vote.

The end of any support from me to the Republicans. The end of the Republicans as a national party. The end of any hope of the Republicans learning a g-d damned thing other than how to self-destruct.

I cannot believe these ignorant pieces of shit held together for as long as they did, because they've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are the most worthless, money-grubbing, power-for-power's sake group of asswits, jack-offs, morons and parasites, second only to the Dimocrats. Fuck them. Fuck them all.

Stop supporting the Republicans, people. Stop sending money. Stop voting for them. Stop giving them any reason to exist as a national party, because they DO NOT REPRESENT YOU! They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! Cut them off, let them die. They deserve it. They are nothing more than Dimocrats dressed in RINO clothing. They need to die off so that a real conservative party can exist.

The sooner the Republican party is demolished, the sooner we can get back to putting this country back on track. Until then the Republicans are just another obstruction, part of the problem. They've just shown us that they will never be part of the solution.

LET THEM DIE!

San Fran Kills JROTC Program

Gotta love those Liberal "Values".

By the way, where is our new Speaker of the House from? Oh, right.

Pardon me, I need to go vomit at the thought of the anti-military communists who will soon be in charge of Congress.

Can't say I'm surprised

I mean, who gives a shit about valor, honor, duty, and courage at the NYT when there's Bush to be defeated and Dimocrats to support?

November 14, 2006 -- The nation's highest honor for combat valor was awarded posthumously to a U.S. Marine from upstate New York on Friday - and The New York Times didn't notice.

It was a shameful act of neglect, though not surprising in the least.

"As long as we have Marines like Cpl. [Jason] Dunham, America will never fear for her liberty," a clearly moved President Bush said at the dedication of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va.

It was only the second MOH awarded in the Iraq war, and it was major news everywhere - especially in New York.

But . . . not a word in the Times

They're not anti-war, their anti-American. They work for the enemy, and do their best to demoralize the US and our allies.

We need to stop letting the moonbats define the debate, and call them what they are.

Ain't this the cutest pic?

I mean, just look!

JFKerry(D) left in the lurch by Charles Schumer (D-NY), who send (D)emocrat party operatives to illegally pull financial records on (R)epublican candidates...

'Dirty' Harry Reid(D), one of the most corrupt congressman in Washington...

Patty 'Osama Mama' Murray(D), who was featured on video in a high school telling our youth that Osama provides 'health care' and was so arrogant she refused even the token pose of returning Abramoff Money.

The "Dick" Durbin(D), who called our boys... Nazis.

What better picture of the Dimocrats could you have but those anti-American communist cluster-fucks?

Get ready for two years of my vitrol, folks. Because it ain't getting any better from where I'm sitting.

A Damn Good Question

From Jules Crittenden.

America is unique in history, a world power that spent precious blood and treasure not to subjugate but to liberate. The United States is the standard bearer of liberty, democracy and free enterprise - the greatest nation the world has ever seen.

How many times can a great nation retreat from inferior forces and remain great? If its people won’t fight for what they believe in, then of what worth are that nation’s values?

I'm praying that the Surrender-Monkey Defeatocrats don't get their wish. But I'm getting a sick feeling in my stomach every time I hear what the Defeatocrats open their mouths.

They've been screaming "VIET NAM!" for years, despite all evidence to the contrary. Now I'm afraid that they're going to turn Iraq into Viet Nam just to say that they were right. And the blood of our troops will once again be spent for no damn reason, other than to satisfy the political wishes of a corrupt, foul, anti-American group of communists and traitors known as "Democrats".

Thomas Jefferson would vomit if he saw what the Party he helped create has turned into.

Town does what Feds will not

As in, take measures to curb illegal immigration.

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas — This Dallas suburb became the first Texas city to pass tough anti-immigration measures, prompting fears they could lead to sanctioned discrimination and racism.

City Council members unanimously approved fines for landlords who rent to illegal immigrants, making English the city's official language and allowing local authorities to screen suspects in police custody to check their immigration status.

Look, to me immigration is a very simple thing. You can come to this country. You can work here. You can apply to be a citizen. But by god, you had better follow the damn laws and sign the guest book on your way in. If you can't even bother to follow the law, then I don't want you here.

LEGAL immigration is welcomed. ILLEGAL immigrants can get the hell out. And if that offends people, too damn bad.

Why, those filthy bastards!

Where's the outrage? Where's the anger? I mean, look at all the POLLUTION!

The film and television industry and associated activities make a larger contribution to air pollution in the five-county Los Angeles region than almost all five other sectors researched, according to a two-year study released Tuesday by the University of California at Los Angeles.

Although Hollywood seems environmentally conscious thanks to celebrities who lend their names to various causes, the industry created more pollution than individually produced by aerospace manufacturing, apparel, hotels and semiconductor manufacturing, the study found.

Only petroleum manufacturing belched more emissions.

Maybe Barbara Streisand or Al Gore will fly in on their private jets to condemn those nasty polluters!

Uneasing things on TV

Firstly: Michael Steele on C-SPAN, letting Donna Brazile get away with characterizing the "Haroold, call me!" commercials as race baiting. In fact he was nodding agreement.

Secondly: Howard Dean, when asked by Tim Russert what the Democrats plan to do about Iraq, said something like "Well that's up to the Commander in Chief."

Sheesh.

I have to pass this along

Because you need news like this to remind you that life isn't all bad.

On the day they buried Beecher Pierce, Nichelle Cushing stood at parade rest in a cold, pounding rain, some hundred yards from the coffin. High-top, lace-up boots slightly apart. A black beret cocked with formal precision on her hair. A small American flag pinned near the neck of her long black dress. One hand behind her back, the other gripping a 105-year-old bugle.

As Pierce's Masonic brothers concluded the rites, a gun squad of airmen in dress blue uniforms raised their rifles. Three volleys echoed across Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Nichelle brought her boots together, shut her eyes, drew her full 5 feet and 1 inch to attention, raised the bugle to her lips and sounded the nation's final tribute to a fallen hero -- taps.

The 15-year-old Palmer High School sophomore never met Pierce, an 80-year-old widower when he died Aug. 13 in Anchorage. She only knew he was a military veteran and thus deserved to have the traditional "lights out" signal played at his funeral and to have it played by a living, breathing human being.

"I feel our servicemen should be buried with an actual bugler," she said, "not a recording."

A fifteen year old girl who taught herself to play the bugle so that she could properly honor fallen veterans.

If there's a hope for this country's future, it's in the hearts and minds of young people like her.

Moonbat Mania

Just look at this knucklehead. LOOK AT HER!!!

One reason: Libertarians

Or GOP movement away from them, if you wish.

Gateway Pundit: Libertarians Help Democrats Take Control of Senate

A few thoughts on the election

From the master of conservative writing.

We have to accept the fact that the conservatives we sent to Congress in 1994 became the bloated, earmarking, tone-deaf toads of 2006. They thought they could do whatever they wanted, regardless of what their constituents think, and now they have been reminded of just who is working for whom. Remedying that sense of isolation and disconnect and unchecked power is why we have elections in the first place, and as to the consequences of it, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I'm writing each and every one of my congresscritters today to let them know one very simple fact: Republicans did not lose the way they did because they held on to their conservative ideals. They lost because the Republicans acted like the Dimocrats, and alienated the very people who voted for them in the first place. Via Instapundit:

Over in Tim Blair's comment section, a guy named Dave S. said this:

"The Republicans lost and the Democrats won for the same reason -- they distanced themselves from their base. "

That's the sentence of the year, in my opinion.

We need to let the Republicans know that if they expect to win in 2008, they must return to the conservative principals they supposedly supported during the election years. Which means no more Denny Hastert protecting corrupt congresscritters. No more waffling on border security. No more "Well, mebbe we'll keep the tax cuts, but we'll vote on that later" bullshit. No more pork barrel politics that both sides of the political sphere practiced in recent years. Let's face the truth: Many of the Republicans in Congress were the very picture of what conservatives vote against, and it cost them. We have a chance to tell the Republicans exactly what they need to do in order to win elections, and I'm willing to bet that they'll be much more disposed to listen right now.

Yes, losing sucks. But rather than scream and yell and cry about it, we need to ensure that it doesn't happen again in 2008. Let's get cracking!

Perhaps I can add my thoughts to TVE's post below. Yes, the media controlled the debate. What did you expect? The MSM has been carrying the Dimocrats for years now. Without the biased reported from ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC, the Dimocrats wouldn't be capable of sniffing any seats in Congress. But what did the Republicans do when faced with this challenge? They just sat back and let it continue. The heavy lifting in the war of ideas wasn't done by any elected Republican, it was done by blogs, or talk radio, or other alternative media. It was very few and far between that an elected Republican came out and laid out THEIR thoughts. As the Dimocrats slung mud and crap everywhere they could, the Republicans did...... nothing. It wasn't until President Bush came out on the election trail and started asking "What plan, exactly, DO the Dimocrats have?" that people started to wake up and ask the same thing. What do you think would have happened if some Representative stood up a few months ago and asked that question? If the Dimocrats had been taken to task? "So, Ms. Pelosi, you have been criticizing the President for a while now. In plain words, what alternative plan do you have?"

The Dimocrats didn't have any plan they wanted regular Americans to know about, but nobody pushed that point until a few weeks before the election. That was a major foul-up, plain and simple.

So what's next? We lost some good people, plain and simple. But we also lost some dead weight. This isn't the end, so long as we work towards the next election. Let's clear out the trash in the next PRIMARIES, not general elections. And let's get the Republican party back to where they were in 1994, not 2006.

Perfect As The Enemy Of The Good - A Dose of Reality

So Rs got thrashed for not being the conservatives they should have been? They never will be. Democrats have never been the leftists that leftists want them to be, but they are a far more loyal and forgiving group it seems. I've seen a lot of this type of excuse from Rs since Tuesday night. Mark my words, the narrative from here on out will be "Voters threw Republicans out because of the Iraq war". It will stick and no amount denial on our part will change that. That doesn't mean I think Republicans deserved to be thrown out because of the Iraq war. No way. People have unrealistic expectations of the Iraq war. They were constantly told that it was going poorly because Bush and Republicans couldn't make it better. Democrats were NEVER expected to step up and present an alternative vision that would meet their expectations of what constituted victory (which they defined as nothing short of absolute tranquility, Iraq without bloodshed), and if you think that is going to change, then you have forgotten the NUMBER ONE reason why conservatives have found themselves in the minority in congress and without representatives like Rick Santorum - the Media carries the water for the Democrat party. If you don't control the debate, you don't win in the realm of ideas. Period. How much time did we spend debating how poorly Republicans performed as conservatives? Constantly. How much time did we spend debating how poorly Democrats were performing as their radical left wing base expects them to? We didn't. Oh sure there was a brief mention of this dynamic when Lieberman lost his primary to Nutroot Lamont, but that was the extent of it. Were any of the following issues solely Republican - corruption, earmarks, pork, Abramoff, improper dialogue with minor congressional pages? Hell no. But they were the issues that got the lions share of attention and Republicans were the only ones that were hounded relentlessly on them. Remember hurricane Katrina and the resulting chatter in congress? All the blame laid where? Ever see the video of the levee breaking? Probably not. It had been leaking at the location where it broke prior to the onset of the storm. The water did not flow out over the top of the levee system. The people most directly responsible for the tragic flooding were the local authorities. The rescue effort, when compared to previous rescue efforts, was nothing short of incredible. Yet! Blame Bush. Blame Republicans. On this and a meriad of other issues smug imbiciles like those at National Review endulged the idiotic accusations of Democrats and postulated half-hearted half-assed defenses for those who best represented them in government when they weren't conceding points to the opposition that should never have been conceded in the first place. The economy roared, and Democrats brayed about the Great Depression. And when Democrats weren't lying their ass off and denying us our successes they were virtually silent on the issues that would keep them from ever being elected. Now, however. More Anti-gun legislation? It's coming. Limits on partial birth abortion and abortion on demand or required parental consent? Try "federal funding for abortion". Despite the success of the Michigan referendum against race based preferences, I think it's safe to add the cause of creating a color-blind society to the ash heap as well. Democrat victim groups rest assured - you will retain your legally enshrined priveledge status. Tax rates? Increased! The global war on terrorism? Defensive posture. Think France. And Iraq? Cambodia. You think you've seen bloodshed there to date? You've seen nothing yet! America will disengage from areas desperately in need of a potent democratic ally. Iran? HAW! Sharpening Hezbollah's scimitars and eyeballing Israel as I type. North Korea? Our wasted bribe money will flow their direction yet again! They should start thinking of ways to spend it. The budget deficits that have been shrinking? Democrats will show you (or remind you) what "spending like drunken sailors" truly looks like. And the whole time this is happening, the Democrat Main Stream Media will lavish them with praise and affection. Casualties in Iraq will evaporate from the headlines and evening news reports after congress forces our withdrawal from Iraq, as will worries about the health of the military. Lessons? Know what lesson Republicans will learn? Be like McCain. Be more like Democrats. They win. I realize I'm bucking conservative punditry conventional wisdom regarding the "why" of our 2006 election losses and what the prudent way forward should be, but when we're still getting our asses kicked and Republicans are acting more and more like Democrats all while blustering about how we need to rededicate ourselves to the principles of the Contract with America, ask yourself where expecting perfection from Republicans has gotten us. Ask yourself if Democrats are discussing earmarks, pork, budget deficits, spending restraint, or limited government and if WE are discussing those things why they aren't having an impact on Democrat fortunes. You want a way forward? Lead. Fight harder. Stop expecting a limited number of elected Republicans to take the lead on every issue and fight the opposition party, the news media, and the entertainment industry on their own. We can't let Democrats and their Media continue to set the subjects, focus, or tone of the national debate. If we do, our status as the minority in government will be permanent. And cut the introspective crap.

Pelosi’s America...

...is Europe.

Scary: the foreign policy implications.

What was it I posted yesterday night? Here:

BIG: Virginia LOST

HUGE: Missouri LOST

MEGAHUGE: Maryland LOST

LOOKING GOOD: Tennessee WON

WOULD BE HELPFUL: Montana LOST

I can't believe Missouri was lost.

Dems take the House

Get ready for two years of shrill screeching from Bela Pelosi and the other assorted anti-American communists in the Dimocrat Party.

The only good thing that can come from this is that the entire country can now see just how empty the Dimocrats are. No ideas. No plans, other than ramping up taxes, de-funding our military, surrendering the War on Terror, and attacking Republicans, and attempting to impliment their "progressive" agenda.

I don't know who I'm angry at more: The people who elected the Dimocrats, or the Republicans who screwed up so badly that they allowed the Dimocrats to make these gains. Let's hope this is a wake-up call for the Right. Hell, let's hope that this is a clue-by-four to the foreheads of every Republican in office.

And maybe next Primary season, we can effect some change to the Republican party.

The Big Ones

BIG: Virginia

HUGE: Missouri

MEGAHUGE: Maryland

LOOKING GOOD: Tennessee

WOULD BE HELPFUL: Montana

The hell with it

I'm going to bed. The last thing I feel like doing is waiting up for news that I can get tomorrow.

Keep yer fingers crossed, yall.

Dimocrats want to pull the troops out of Iraq

We all know this. It's common knowledge. The problem for the Dimocrats is that the troops themselves know that leaving Iraq is wrong.

Not only do they see "phased redeployment" as a potential disaster, they see an improvement in the situation in Iraq. One New Jersey officer recently returned to Iraq for the first time since 2003 and tells the Post that Iraq had made real progress. A self-proclaimed liberal, he said, "Pulling out now would be as bad or worse than going forward with no changes," and predicted an end to democratic self-government almost immediately.

Worse still, the troops have worked hard to gain the trust of Iraqi civilians for over three years. They have created a network of relationships and intelligence links in the general population and alliances with tribal leaders. It took a long time for Iraqis to forget the betrayal of 1991, when the US failed to support a rebellion against Saddam Hussein after failing to march on Baghdad during the first Gulf War. A "phased redeployment" would abandon those same people all over again to the terrorists within and outside of Iraq.

None of them have any illusions that Iraq will suddenly and miraculously find peace. The soldiers and Marines on the ground believe it will take a long time and much hard work to bring a democratic Iraq to full viablity, at least completely. They tell the Post that the Kurdish region is only about four or five months away from full autonomy and self-sufficiency in terms of security (economically, they're farther ahead than that). Baghdad will be the toughest nut to crack, they all acknowledge, and that might take years of effort. However, all of them believe in the mission and see that the alternative consigns the Iraqis to tyranny and terrorism for decades or more.

The Dimocrats are craven cowards. They were wrong during Viet Nam. They are wrong now.

Got any printer paper?

Because this latest essay by Bill Whittle would be the perfect thing to print out and leave all around the election polls.

I can't excerpt any part of it, you just have to read the whole thing. Dammit, it's WHITTLE! You shouldn't even be reading me right now! You should have clicked on the link when you first saw who I was linking to!

GO, DAMMIT! GO!

I didn't know there are uberLeftists in Idaho

State Senator's sons accused of vandalizing memorial for Iraq war casualties

Polls, polls, polls

Polls everywhere, and not a brain cell in sight. Democrats lead! No, wait, Republicans lead! Wait again, Dems lead, but not by much! Oh crap, Republicans gaining! 37% of left-handed lesbian midget Eskimos say Bush is the Devil! 75% of all statistics are made up! Two out of every four people make up half the world's population!

Here's what I think: I think that all the polls showing Republicans gaining ground are flat out wrong. And do you want to know why? Because I don't think they lost that ground to begin with. I think the media has been pushing the Dimocrat's hopes, trying their best to stop Republicans from even going to the voting booths. And in case you've missed it lately, even the media themselves have been admitting their coverage of the election season hasn't been honest. And let's face it: The media today is flat out hostile to any conservative idea or candidate. They will go to any length to spread Dimocrat propaganda and downplay conservative or Republican gains. They are, in effect, in league with the terrorists that we're at war with.

So what better way to ensure your candidate's success than to downplay his opponent's chances? "Oh, Dimocrat so-and-so has an insurmountable lead. There's no reason to vote for his opponent."

I don't think the Republicans are surging back. I think that the media is just being more honest about the polls.

Huh!

I was reading a blog named "Huckleberries Online" when I saw a blog mentioned named CDADave.

Now, my name is Dave, and I'm from Coeur d'Alene, abbreviated "CdA".

There's two of me?

Another Card Essay

That needs to be read.

There is only one issue in this election that will matter five or ten years from now, and that's the War on Terror.

And the success of the War on Terror now teeters on the fulcrum of this election.

If control of the House passes into Democratic hands, there are enough withdraw-on-a-timetable Democrats in positions of prominence that it will not only seem to be a victory for our enemies, it will be one.

Unfortunately, the opposite is not the case -- if the Republican Party remains in control of both houses of Congress there is no guarantee that the outcome of the present war will be favorable for us or anyone else.

But at least there will be a chance.

I say this as a Democrat, for whom the Republican domination of government threatens many values that I hold to be important to America's role as a light among nations.

But there are no values that matter to me that will not be gravely endangered if we lose this war. And since the Democratic Party seems hellbent on losing it -- and in the most damaging possible way -- I have no choice but to advocate that my party be kept from getting its hands on the reins of national power, until it proves itself once again to be capable of recognizing our core national interests instead of its own temporary partisan advantages.

To all intents and purposes, when the Democratic Party jettisoned Joseph Lieberman over the issue of his support of this war, they kicked me out as well. The party of Harry Truman and Daniel Patrick Moynihan -- the party I joined back in the 1970s -- is dead. Of suicide.

You can read the rest on your own.

Hangings too good for 'im!

But we'll take what we can get, right?

Saddam Hussein, the iron-fisted dictator who ruled Iraq for nearly a quarter of a century, was found guilty of crimes against humanity Sunday and sentenced to death by hanging.

The so-called Butcher of Baghdad, who was president of Iraq from 1979 until he was deposed by Coalition forces in April 2003, was convicted of the 1982 killings of 148 Shiites in the city of Dujail.

Hang him and let his corpse rot until the rope around his neck decays and snaps. And let our troops use his body as target practice.

More proof

That the Left hates the military with an intensity normally found in really bad high school plays.

Just go read. And vote on Tuesday, folks. As much as you may dislike the Republicans, allowing the Dimocrats to hold the power in D.C. is a huge mistake.

Sorry about the lack of posting

But I've been kinda busy. Long story made short: I passed my course. 94% score. Didn't make Honor Grad or Distinguished Honor grad, but at least I didn't fall below the goal I set for myself.

But my hands have been kinda full lately. I left Ft. Lee yesterday and made it back home late last night. Then I get to jump right back in the saddle tomorrow. So pardon me if I don't post much. I'll be back in the swing of things by Monday or so.

So Kerry "apologized"

Yeah, I bet he's sorry. Sorry that he let the mask slip and showed America just what the Left thinks about our military.

Don't take my word on it. Listen to the Left for yourself.

And let's not forget that this isn't the first time that Kerry has insulted and slandered our troops. He's been lying about the military ever since 1971, and the only time he stops is when it will win him political points. He's not sorry that he called our troops a bunch of uneducated losers, he's just sorry that he got caught. Again. And Kerry isn't the only Dimocrat who slanders the military. Dick Durbin compared our troops with the Soviets working the Gulags. Teddy (hic!) Kennedy stated that our troops working the the prisons in Iraq were no better than Saddam's henchmen. The Left has lied about, slandered and verbally abused American servicemembers over and over and over and over, yet we're supposed to believe that they "support" the troops? Bullshit. Flat out unmitigated bullshit. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Left despises our military with every fiber of their being. And all you have to do is wait for a little while and they show it.

Fuck John Kerry with a running chainsaw.

Dunces Deal Out Brickbat

I'm not sure it gets any more classic than this.

And: boom!

Kerry Explains

He misread the script or telePrompTer. Or something.

Why isn't this getting more attention?

Scientists in England have created a miniature liver using NON-embryonic stem cells.

Described as a 'Eureka moment' by the Newcastle University researchers, the tissue was created from blood taken from babies' umbilical cords just a few minutes after birth.

As it stands, the mini organ can be used to test new drugs, preventing disasters such as the recent 'Elephant Man' drug trial. Using lab-grown liver tissue would also reduce the number of animal experiments.

Within five years, pieces of artificial tissue could be used to repair livers damaged by injury, disease, alcohol abuse and paracetamol overdose.

Could it be because the Left's use of embryonic stem cells is a political move designed to gain them power in the government, and anything that distracts from that goal needs to be shunted aside?

Nah, couldn't be.

OK, so this is a bit late

Right Wing News has a post up about his favorite horror movies. Most of them, I'm saying "OK, yeah, sure, fine." But he left off a movie that literally gave me nightmares.

Event Horizon.

I'm not a skittish guy. I'm not squeamish for the most part. And this movie creeped me out to the point that I was afraid to go to bed the night after I watched it.

And it didn't even make Mr. Hawkins' list. Shamefull, I tell ya.

They can go lower

Richard Belzer has.

This is from a couple years back. The real heady stuff is at about 1:00.

How low can they go?

I mean, I already knew that the Dimocrats were some of the most vile, stupid, worthless, traitorous pieces of amphibian shit that managed to crawl out of the cesspool and into public office, but every time I turn around, they manage to sink even lower.

As Mike says,

You’re goddamned motherfucking right I question their patriotism.

At this point I even question their humanity.

UPDATE: A few posts up from the one I linked to is this quote in regards to the Dimocrats which just had to be posted here.

Liberals, with very few exceptions, despise the American military, and they have since Vietnam, and that’s the plain truth.

Their antiwar sentiment is a thinly-veiled manifestation of this old and well-established contempt, and their eagerness to jump all over supposed “torture” allegations is just another less-than-stellar example. They want us to lose in Iraq because they believe we deserve to, and because nothing gives them more pleasure than seeing the big, bad American hegemon and its knuckledragging, mouth-breathing, baby-killing thugs on the receiving end of a solid comeuppance. They cordially loathe this country and everything it stands for, and that mindless antipathy spills over onto those charged with defending it. They believe that those patriotic souls who disagree with their “enlightened” view are morons. Every American victory or success is a painful slap in the face to them.

And a vote for the Democrats is a vote for this mindset. Period. Don’t ever forget it.

The Dimocrat's Plan

DANEgerus has the scoop. Go see what the Dimocrats want to do that they're NOT talking about.

THIS is what can and will happen if you let the Communists take power.

Nope, still not shocked

The only think shocking about this tidbit is the fact that there are people today who STILL don't get it.

The study found that three out of four evaluations of Democratic candidates' chances of winning — such as sound bites — were positive, compared with one out of eight for Republicans. Coverage has been dominated by two major themes: the effects of the Foley scandal, and the impact the Bush presidency is having on the party's congressional candidates.

The Foley scandal produced 59 stories alone, compared with 33 on Iraq and 31 on terrorism/national security issues. “What's hurting Republican candidates is the media's focus on two non-candidates: Mark Foley and George W. Bush,” says center director Robert Lichter.

Yep. That's because the Dimocrats don't have a plan. They don't have a platform, and they don't have any strategies that they want to admit to the American public. Because "Raise taxes, surrender to terrorists and kowtow to the UN" just doesn't resonate with most people, ya know?

So they avoid talking about what they're going to do, and instead attack two people that the Republicans aren't even running for office.

Just look at how many times the Dimocrats bring up President Bush instead of talking about the issues facing the country today. They don't have a plan, and as usual they don't have a clue. The only thing giving them any hope at all is how badly the Republicans have screwed up.

That's a pretty crappy thing to deal with. If I had my druthers, I'd kick out every lousy rat-bastard in Washington right now, and start over. But since I can't have my druthers, I'd be happy to not see Rancid Charlie Rangle, Dirty Harry Reid, Nancy "The Facelift" Pelosi, and the rest of the corrupt, scum-sucking communists of the Dimocrat party holding the majority after next week.

The Republicans might be bad. The Commucrats are worse.

I am reminded of this one from Indymedia:

Good grief

What an asshole.

I have seen the Dimmies' platform...

...in America's hemorrhaging daily newspapers.

For like three decades now.

In other news: more blackface. What is the matter with those people??? Idiot. Seen much of Michael Steele? You will.

Another "Anti-War" Story

I use the scare quotes because it's the same bullshit from the same Liberal, traitor, commie, crackhead red-diaper-doper-babies. Greyhawk has the lowdown.

The Left hates the military. The Left loathes the military in a way that would leave any sane person speechless. And it shows every time they open their mouth. No wonder the Dimocrats want to cut and run. They can't stand the thought of the American military winning a war.

Might I suggest

That you spend a profound twelve minutes watching a video linked to by Major John.

So.... um.....

Anyone seen or heard the Dimocrat platform yet? Because all I see is "WE HATE BUSH!"

That ain't a way to run a country.

For a good cause

And a chance to get yourself another boomstick, which is always a good thing, right?

Kim du Toit is going to be running a lil contest in the future which I think you might be interested. I won't copy and paste the whole thing here, because it's rather long, but you can go read about it at your lesiure.

Since I'm currently insconced in the GFW land of Puerto Rico, I don't think I'll be participating. Although mebby I could get it shipped to my parent's house in Idaho?

Hmmmmmmm.......

Indeed

Alger posts a comment from a different blog here that I agree with more than I care to admit.

Kill them all - Sadr, Maliki, Saddam, whoever. Just shut [up] and start shooting. Make them cower, harangue them about their barbarity, install a military governor, give Ramadi the Hama -- not the Fallujah -- treatment. Enough. They have been given every chance, and exploited every chance for their own miserable little gains. They are cruel, venal, incompetent and stupid. The rest of the country will thank us for it, and if they don't too fucking bad. Stop managing the problem and solve it.

Call me too straightforward, but I don't understand why we aren't killing the people who are trying to kill us and detroy Iraq for their own gain.

Perhaps this would be a good time to re-state that we aren't pissed at the Republicans for acting like conservatives. We're pissed off at the Republicans for acting too much like Dimocrats, including the War in Iraq. Yes, we need stability. Yes, we need to raise that country up. But we can't do that by allowing a group of armed thugs to control their very own sectors of Iraq, or Bagdad. And although I doubt very much that we're going to do anything remotely similar to what the commenter quoted above wants to, we need to crack down on the insurgents and rogue militias currently running around in Iraq. Sadr? Screw 'im. I say cap anyone not in uniform who's carrying a gun or RPG around in large groups.

St. Louis wins World Series

As if you didn't know that by now. Since I didn't have a dog in this hunt, I was watching more out of just wanting to see baseball rather than rooting for either team. From what I could see, Detriot needed a few less errors, to say the least. It looks to me as if Detroit handed St. Louis the Series through errors and sloppy play. Not to take anything away from St. Louis, however, because they took every Detroit error and made plays off of it. So congrats to St. Louis! Maybe next year my team won't be resting at the bottom of their division.

Oooo, dat's gotta hurt!

Cause it's a bitchslapping of the first order. And if you're one of the people who think the Lame-Stream Media still does their job in Iraq, then you need to go read this piece.

That's all for today, folks. Sorry. Busy busy, ya know.

Just a nudge

Since I'm tired of politics right now, go visit DANEgerus and just start scrolling. See also RNS. Covering politics, so that I don't have to.

I wouldn't say that I'm burnt out on politics, but between classes and other obligations, I just don't have the time to follow it all right now. Couple that with the fact that as a military member living overseas, I'm an absentee voter. And since I knew I would be away from my house until early November, I've already filled out my absentee ballot and mailed it in. Also, since I'm a legal resident of Idaho, I don't have to worry about the Left tossing my vote into the circular file the moment it hits the county office. Add all this up, and I really don't have much of an interest in watching the Left lie, steal, slander, and violate their way into public office without so much as a hint of a fight from the Republicans. I dunno, maybe I'm watching the wrong races. I think that many conservatives are tired of fighting the Republican's battles for them. Toss in the feeling of many conservatives that we've been betrayed by the Republican party, and this might just be an ugly November for the Right.

However, that can only come about if people like me decided not to vote this year. And since I'd rather castrate myself with a beltsander than allow the gun-grabbing, power-hungry, socialist Dimocrats to run this country, I voted just so that I could vote against them.

That doesn't mean that I'm happy with the Republicans. It means that I'm scared to death of what the Dimocrats would do to this country. They're insane, folks. Unhinged. Loony. Coo-coo for Commie-Puffs. And insane people should never be allowed in power.

I am politicked out.

So instead I'll send you here, where Mr. Alger has remembered that it's St. Crispin's Day today. In in case you are wondering where you have heard of St. Crispin before, Alger provides you with the writing of one Mr. W. Shakespear. But it's that last part that I'm going to paste up here, because it's that last part that I think many civilians and the majority of the Left will never understand.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

The best man at my wedding wasn't some highschool buddy of mine. It wasn't anyone from when I was growing up. It was a soldier in my platoon when I was stationed at Ft. Riley, who became my best friend. We talk to each other regularly. He's in Tennesee, going to college. And when I finally PCS back to the mainland, he'll be one of the first people my wife and I will visit.

The military does that to some people.

Gun control in Australia: Boom or Bust?

The answer will surprise you, but only if you're an imbecile.

HAR!

Anyone who learned history knows that the name "Nazi" was the abrieviated name for National Socialists.

And if you don't know that, now is a good time to learn it.

Hitler was a socialist. Coincidently, so are most of today's Dimocrats.

Day-um!

I knew that Teddy (hic!) Kennedy was a waste of skin, and anyone who knows me knows that I think he should be expelled from Congress immidiately, but I never knew just how far down he sank.

The antipathy that congressional Democrats have today toward President George W. Bush is reminiscent of their distrust of President Ronald Reagan during the Cold War, a political science professor says.

“We see some of the same sentiments today, in that some Democrats see the Republican president as being a threat and the true obstacle to peace, instead of seeing our enemies as the true danger,” said Paul Kengor, a political science professor at Grove City College and the author of new book, The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism.

In his book, which came out this week, Kengor focuses on a KGB letter written at the height of the Cold War that shows that Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) offered to assist Soviet leaders in formulating a public relations strategy to counter President Reagan’s foreign policy and to complicate his re-election efforts.

Treason. Treason, plain and clear. Actively working with the Soviets against a sitting President. He's a foul, vile, corrupt, treasonous vermin. Hanging is too good for him.

Yes, I question his patriotism. I question his sanity. And I think that not only should he be expelled from Congress, he should be expelled from this country.

And just in case

Any of you are sitting on the fence about voting, here's what a Dimocrat congress will bring about if you give them a chance.

Gun control. Massive amounts of gun control. Think California combined with Boston, MA. Do you want Pelosi and Kennedy telling you who can own guns and who can't?

Higher taxes, along with the damage to the eocnomy those taxes will bring. Our economy is ripping along. Job growth is amazing. The Dow has hit record highs. You want all that to stop? Just watch the Dimocrats repeal the tax cuts and watch our economy begin to crumble.

Greater growth of the nanny state. Yes, I know the Republicans aren't doing so well on that score, but who do you want in charge? A Republican we have some control over, or a died-in-the-wool socialist who's goal is the complete subservience of anyone not sitting in congress?

Complete and total surrender in the War on Terror. The Dimocrats have already plainly stated their goals when it comes to fighting terrorism. In two words: They won't. As the Dimocrats are controlled by their far Left wing, nothing short of total capitulation will satisfy them.

We have two choices this election: Bad, and horrible. Just because we might not like all of the bad choice shouldn't mean that we surrender to the horrible choice.

I know, I know...

I haven't been posting much lately. Hey, I'm in a three week ASI course, what's your excuse?

Noting politics on TV news - I can't remember who said it, but the quote is "Media Bias is worth 15% in the polls." Just remember that when you look at see a Dimocrat that's 5-10% ahead of his Republican opponenet. Seriously, it's a flat out assault on Conservatives in the media. It's been that way since the 2000 election. The alphabet networks are nothing but partisan whores guzzling the kool-aid put out by the DNC. And the DNC hasn't had a sane thought ever since Mad Howie Dean took control. So we can expect the vilest, foulest mud to be slung by the left side of the political sphere, as they claw for power the way a crack addict claws for his glass pipe. But what happened the last three elections?

Just sayin'......
