NEVER stop firing

Machinegun
You preferred a weapon with 32% power over speed and 85% range over melee.
You use a Machinegun. Phenomenal range and rate of fire more than make up for the lack of mobility that a full machinegun warrant. Though a machinegun lacks the punch of heavier artillery, it is still an exceedingly potent infantry weapon and can fire continuously for a long time. Your enemies will run for cover as you pepper the landscape with bullets.

Mr. President, Please Secure Our Borders Immediately

"Sign Our Petition on Illegal Immigration," it says.

Infrequent posting alert

For those who are just catching up, it's called a PCS - Permanent Change of Station. It's when the military tells you to move your ass from one post to another.

And I'm in the middle of it. Yeesh. I think I've had more fun laminating my testicles.

(The above is just a figure of speech. My testicles are not now, nor have ever been, laminated.)

So anyways, this is just a post to let you all know not to expect too much from me in the coming days. Any internet access will be infrequent at best, and I'm going to be so damn busy that my head might just come unscrewed.

Oh, and to top it all off, just the cherry on the top of my sundae, the unit I'm going to exists on paper only.

Yep, that's right, it's a new unit! They're still getting people in! So where as I may have been able to call up the unit and talk with an actual human if I were going to an existing unit, I'm stuck in limbo with this one. I've been able to talk to the battalion, but the company has been incommunicado. Boy oh boy, I don't know who's getting fucked worse, the unit or me. Yeah, they're not exactly being all that helpful right now, and just getting simple answers out of people requires an effort not unlike pulling out teeth, but I'm getting put into a slot in which I have no actual experience. I've got the school, but no hands on time. And now I have to build a unit's motorpool from scratch.

Talk about a steep learning curve.....

So, if you don't hear from me for a while, it's because I'm screaming while ripping out what little hair I have left and banging my head against a brick wall in a futile effort to make the bad men stop.

See ya in a couple of weeks.

Go Figure....

Shotgun
You preferred a weapon with 58% power over speed and 74% range over melee.
You use a Shotgun.
While not the fastest gun in the west, a shotgun's raw power and ease
of use make it an extremely potent weapon. Some shotguns can also be
loaded with many different types of ammunition, providing a versatility
many guns don't have. Choosing your shots, you fell your opponents
immediately and without pause.

It kinda makes sense. To be honest, sometimes my mouth catches friendlies in the blast radius. Although Analog Kid is a frigging Greatsword. I don't think anyone who's met him face to face could disagree with that.

They were never anti-war...

They were just rooting for the other side.

Via Danegerus

It started out as a typical Wednesday for Preckshot, a 49-year-old who stands about 5-foot-2 and has hearing aids in both ears. She was standing on her normal spot on Providence Road, holding her signs in support of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. For nearly four years now, this has been Preckshot?s life from about 4:15 to about 5:45 in the afternoon once a week. She started her solo troop-support effort to counteract the peace protesters who stand a couple of blocks away at the intersection of Providence and Broadway. The peaceniks hold signs that say things such as ?honk for peace? and ?end the occupation.?

They outnumber Preckshot every Wednesday, but she stands out there just the same, sometimes drawing another supporter or two to help her effort.

On this particular Wednesday - it was March 16 - her effort seemed to annoy a couple of the protesters. Not satisfied with their own peace protest, a pair of peaceniks grabbed their signs and made their way to Preckshot, who normally stands outside the Bloomers flower shop near Locust Street.

C'mon, you all KNOW what's going to happen, don't you?

?He started taunting me and reached out and pushed on my shoulder,? Preckshot says. ?Each time he pushed, it got a little harder. When I saw his hand come at me again, I grabbed it. I felt fearful.?

As Preckshot pushed the man?s hand away, ?he slugged me right in the face,? she says.

I don't know what's worse. The fact that it happened, or the fact that I'm not surprised.

I think I'm going to cry

Months ago when Analog Kid decided to go to Boomershoot, he graciously invited me along. Since I wasn't sure of what my future held, I told him that I would see what my calender was like, but until then consider me out.

So, Boomershoot is this coming weekend, and guess what? I'm headed to Ft. McCoy for inprocessing. Talk about shitty timing!

And to make it even worse, Kim du Toit, one of the few people online I'd give my eyeteeth to meet in person is going to be there!

CRAP!

But..... no Ft. McCoy means no Ft. Buchanan, and I can't give up three years of the Army in Puerto Rico just to meet someone, no matter how much I might want to.

Man, talk about mixed luck.

Caption these Photos!

The ACLU (Anti-American Civil Liberties Union) has sent "legal observers" down to Arizona in an attempt to interrupt the Minuteman Project. Their tacticts include physically shoving members of the Minutemen, shining spotlights in their facts from six inches away, and attempting to verbally provoke the Minutemen.

And inbetween harassing the Minutemen, intentionally trying to start fights, and assisting illegal immigrants in coming into this country, they like to kick back and smoke some ganja with each other.

Check out the photos at the bottom. Doesn't that just scream "Fine American Citizen"?

So let's caption a few photos! Leave your best captions in the comments, and I'll send really good authors a few stickers, or something.

One Big Incestuous Web

DANEgerus has links to the scandals exploding in Canada right now. The more people dig, the more filth comes pouring out.

Canada has become insignificant because they've let themselves be led by a group of power-hungry socialists who care about nothing but their own enrichment, even if it comes at the expense of those who elected them.

It's rather sad if you ask me. I can remember when Canada wasn't a joke disguised as a sovereign nation. I hope they can regain the status that they've lost in the past decade and a half.

Can you FEEL the LOVE?

So, Tim and I are cleaning the junk out of the guestboook, and some of the comments left by the Leftists are just outright hilarious.

Although there's one that I just can't quite understand....

Jason Walker is a pencil-dick faggot. He will get sodomized in hell.

Who's Jason Walker, and why does this nameless goon think he's a pencil-dicked faggot? And if you're going to call someone names, can't you at least leave a real name? Or an email address?

Anyways, I'm taking the spam out and leaving everything else. I think that comments like this:

You guys are all selfish fools! Right-wing politics are terrible! And war is is also a terrible thing! War is bad because people die, and I believe that death is bad. Don't you see how disgustingly selfish you have become?!!!!!!!!! And George Bush licks balls! Left-wingers rule!

....are the perfect example of why the Left should never be in power again.

I mean, c'mon, would stringing spammers up by their toes and whipping them to death with a cat'o nine tails really be such a BAD thing?

Good News, Bad News

The good news is: "they all do it".

House Republicans yesterday called on Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to provide documentation to prove that a Washington lobbyist firm did not pay for a trip she and other Democrats took to Puerto Rico in 2001.

Pelosi pressed for trip records

The bad news is: "they all do it".

Did you hear the one about the woman...

...who found a finger in her Wendy's chili?

Turns out, maybe it was a whopper.

As it turns out, Ayala has a litigious history. She has filed claims against several corporations, including a former employer and General Motors, though it is unclear from court records whether she received any money. She said she got $30,000 from El Pollo Loco after her 13-year-old daughter got sick at one of the chain's Las Vegas-area restaurants. El Pollo Loco officials say she did not get a dime.

Earlier Thursday, Wendy's International Inc. announced it had ended its internal investigation, saying it could find no credible link between the finger and the restaurant chain.

Sales have dropped at franchises in Northern California, forcing layoffs and reduced hours, the company said. Wendy's also has hired private investigators, set up a hot line for tips and offered a $100,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to the finger's original owner.
So she makes a false claim, it appears, looking for money, and people lost their jobs as a result.

Jail would be good.

UPDATE: Felony theft.

Frothing of the Left

Interesting article here about kneejerk disdain for Pope Benedict XVI in America and in American media.

Good piece that stretches credulity just once, with this:

Was it ethical, then, for NYTimes.com to publish a text accusing pope Benedict XVI of being a Nazi?

The New Pope

Reaction, from Democratic Underpants.

Vietnam Vet Sullies Jane Fonda

channelcincinnati.com

The shrieks continue

The Left is still in hysterics about Pope Benedict the Sixteenth. Let's take a look at what they're saying, shall we?

Andrew Sullivan: Well, I won't even bother linking to him. Suffice to say that unless the new pope came out and stated that God was now a transexual and we'd all be praying to "Gladys" from now on, Sully will still be full of crap about religion.

One person from Kos's little cesspool actually has some common sense.

There are many reasons to criticize the election of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI, like his stances on women and gays in the church, social issues, his work in crushing liberation theology, his comments in regards to the priest sexual abuse scandals, and his generally conservative views. Calling him a Nazi, however, is unfounded and unfair, and only serves to demean us...Unfounded accusations are unfair, and will only serve to give the wingers more ammunition. Call him conservative, call him reactionary, call him old, call him surly, call him the wrong choice. Just don't call him a Nazi.

Of course, what really bothers the left is included in the first sentance. "his generally conservative views". Which in reality is his Catholic views. If the damn pope would just stop being so CATHOLIC, why, the Left would love him to death!

Uh, yeah. Right.

However, as Analog Kid notes, the one sane member of the Klueless Kos Kamp was instantly shouted down by the rest of the oh so "tolerant" left:

Lefty Malone: “I’ll call him a nazi. Never once in his career has he denounced them.”

Heteraetcaetera: Let me see…. 1. Hitler Youth = not a Nazi.
2. Wehrmacht = Not a Nazi.
3. Deserted when illusions failed.
4. Fished out and rescued by US diligence = Not a Nazi.
Hitler himself was a minor landscape artist. Why can’t you people remember that?

SqueakyRat: “They couldn’t find a Nazi. So they chose Ratzinger.”

Sausalito: Hes not my pope! Its one thing to jack-off or throw back a few too many. Its another to be a part of the Hitler Youth!!! Are you guys serious? I remember when the left was trying to say that Bush was shady because his family yada yada yada something to do with Hitlers family. This dude was a part of the movement He was a nazi though. What the fuck else do you call someone who WAS a member of Hitlers youth militia? I am not saying he believed that shit but he did have a choice! You always have a choice even if death is the result.

Of course, leaving aside the fact that Pope Benedict came from an anti-Nazi family, leaving aside the fact that participation in the Hitler Youth was mandatory for any kid in Germany at that time, leaving aside the fact that Benedict DEFECTED FROM THE NAZI ARMY, gee, what better arguments than to call the new pope a nazi!

And they wonder why they keep loosing election. Hmmmmmmmm........

And it gets better!

--Lean Left:"They elected another Pope. It’s Ratzinger - the Goebbels of the Vatican. Un...believable, even for an organization as self-destructively oblivious as this one. Well, for Catholics and the dwindling number of Westerners who still take Catholicism seriously, it’s time to kiss the Dark Ages hello again...The medieval wing of an organization that just barely got over Galileo has now claimed the right to declare itself “infallible” (the irony of which they never seem to get). If you thought John Paul II was bad, wait till you get a load of Pope Torquemada Jr."

Oooo, a Nazi comment and a reference to the Spanish Inquisition! It's a two'fer! Too bad for Lean Left that the numbers show a growing amount of Catholics in America. But then, for a Leftist, make-believe is all that remains.

Let's just cut to the chase, shall we? The Left objects to the Pope because he's a religious figure. It wouldn't matter who the conclave elected, or what the new pope said or did. It could be Pope Buffy I, a nun who used to be a brothel worker in Nevada, and the Left would still be up in arms and throwing their temper tantrums. Because it's not the person the Left objects to -

It's the religion.

What title did Dane use?

Fake Right, turn Hard Left was the phrase, I believe. And it was used to describe Hillary Clinton's actions as of late.

Well, the Hildabeast proves that she's still a sleazy socialist.

But today, Hillary is returning to her liberal roots by joining the high priestesses of feminism in marking “Equal Pay Day.” According to feminist calculations, the first four months of 2005 were spent making up for last year’s wage gap; today, women supposedly will have finally earned as much as men in 2004. She will introduce legislation to “fix” this gap and thereby end a grave injustice.

Again with the whine of "Women are paid unfairly!" No, they're not. Here are a few questions for you to use on the liberal maggots who raise the hue and cry of wage discrimination.

How many female plumbers do you know? Electricians? Concrete workers? Bricklayers? How about framers or other construction jobs? Fisherman? Crab fishers? Stockbrokers? Engineers? Pilots?

What do many of those jobs have in common? They're damn hard work. Dirty work. You work long hours in unpleasant conditions busting your ass day in and day out. They all happen to pay mucho dinero. And they all happen to be male dominated due to the reasons laid out.

Ask the woman who's whining about not getting paid equally if she wants to spend 12-18 hours a day cleaning shit out of pipes for 20 years. Most likely, she'll look at you and go "HELL NO!". But that's what plumbers do, and they get paid well for it. Ever had to pay for a plumber? Hot damn, that's expensive. The cheapest I've ever paid a plumber was $40 an hour. And yet every plumber who's come to my house was a man.

In Why Men Earn More, Warren Farrell — a former board member of the National Organization for Women’s New York chapter — identifies 25 decisions that individuals make when choosing jobs and reveals how, on average, men are more likely than women to make decisions that increase pay. Not only do women take more time out of the labor force and work fewer hours than do men, women also avoid jobs that require a great deal of travel or relocation. Men assume more high-risk jobs — 92 percent of occupational deaths occur among men — and endeavors that require braving the elements outdoors.

What you get paid is a matter of the choices you make. I once spoke to a woman who did woodwork, finish and detail work. She was a carpenter, and a damn good one. I asked her why she got into woodworking, and she told me that she wanted to make good money. So she became very good at turning out furniture, cabinets, ect. And she did get paid. She got paid very well.

But she worked for it, just like every man.

The Captain understands...

....just how conservatives are feeling.

The GOP campaigned on judicial nominations as the second-highest priority for the Senate, and the electorate rewarded them with a healthy gain of four seats, remarkable for an election in which the incumbent president won by a tight margin. After spending a record amount of money on supporting Republican candidates, the electorate has sat back and watched as the Democrats, led by Harry Reid, have uncorked one lunatic manuever after another: challenging Ohio's slate of electors, holding up Condoleezza Rice's nomination while people like Mark Dayton outright call her a liar, and attempting to extort the White House into giving up its Constitutional assignment of nominating the judges the President sees fit for Senate approval.

What has this bunch of Republican milquetoasts done? Nothing.

We didn't vote for conservatives who would sit on their thumbs and whine. We wanted action. And we're not getting it. What we're getting is a group of whiney cowards who refuse to do anything.

Conservatives don't vote for whiney cowards more than once, as a rule. That's the Democrat's M.O. The Republicans should learn that lesson.

Today in History

The British Army, commanded by General Thomas Gage, attempted to confiscate the weapons of colonists in the towns of Lexington and Concord.

So began the American Revolution.

DANEgerus has more.

A New Pope

So, after the third-longest reign of any pope, the Catholic Church has a new leader.

UPDATE: Well, if you feel like getting some slime on your boots, you can see the reaction of the Left over at Kos's little cesspool.

It's a great day to be a Nazi! (none / 1)

The best thing we can hope for is that this will be the "worse" in "it's gotta get worse before it gets better."
If we're lucky, Pope Ratfucker will be even more reactionary, orthodox, and fascist than he has been in the past. We'll call him the "Pope of NO"

Hmmmm.... it seems to me that just last week people were shrieking and howling because someone dared say that the Left opposed people of faith! People on the Left and the Right were both saying how horrible it was that people stated how the Left opposed anyone who might be Christian.

And yet.... if you read what they write, and you listen to what they say...

They ARE opposed to Christianity. Unless you somehow think that calling the new Pope a ratfucker and a Nazi is somehow supportive of that whole "religion" thing.

Now excuse me, I need to go soak myself in bleach after visiting that website.

About Damn Time!

So long, TSA. We knew ye too well.

The Transportation Security Administration, once the flagship agency in the nation's $20 billion effort to protect air travelers, is now slated for dismantling.

The TSA has been plagued by operational missteps, public relations blunders and criticism of its performance from both the public and legislators. Its "No Fly" list has mistakenly snared senators. Its security screeners have been arrested for stealing from luggage, and its passenger pat-downs have set off an outcry from women.

Under provisions of President Bush's 2006 budget proposal favored by Congress, the TSA will lose its signature programs in the reorganization of Homeland Security. The agency will likely become just manager of airport security screeners -- a responsibility that itself could diminish as private screening companies increasingly seek a comeback at U.S. airports.

One of my big gripes about Bush is that he's a big government Republican. Hell, these days EVERY politician is a big government fan, since that's how they accumulate power. As bad as Bush is, the Democrats are even worse. The TSA is one example of that. Created by Bush, run by a Democrat, and a waste of time and energy in every way possible. Run by politically correct idiots, afraid of it's own shadow, and failing to keep our airplanes safe, it's been alive way too damn long. It should have never seen the light of day.

Let's make sure it stays dead.

Pro-female? Pro-gun.

The statistical reality is that "shall issue" states, those that issue a concealed carry permit to any law-abiding citizen who asks for one, show a lower rape incidence than states where concealed carry permits are difficult or impossible to obtain. The victim disarmers claim that it's just because those states would have had a lower rate anyway. This claim has been proven false: those states which convert to "shall issue" status show a concomitant decrease in the rape rate. Places which take a proactive stance to promote gun ownership among women show a much greater decrease in the rape rate. A dramatic decrease occurred when the Orlando, Florida police, very concerned about the city's skyrocketing rape rates, instituted a program to train tens of thousands of women in the safe use of handguns. The rape rate decreased 88%.

Happy Income Redistribution Day!

My wife and I are on the... (ahem) lower end of the pay scale right now. And we're paying a total of ... well.... a hell of a lot more than we want to be, or should be.

And that doesn't include taxes we pay on a day-to-day basis. Gas tax. Sales tax. Go look at your phone bill, if you have a cellular phone. Taxes put over $17 worth of charges on top of the actual bill!

This country is overtaxed, ain't no doubt about it. Unless you're a communist, in which case you need to get your ass out of my country and into one of your "perfect" communist governments. May I suggest Cuba or North Korea?

Oh HELL yeah!

New ships? New designs for our fine Navy? Yes, I suppose it's all well and good, but DANEgerus favors reactivating two battleships.

By the way, everytime you say "recommission battleships" some Navy guy suddenly needs to clean out the front of his pants. And not in a bad way. You want to know why?

The battleships are 10 percent faster than the still-conceptual DD(X). They each bring to bear 12 5-inch and nine 16-inch guns -- capable, with new munitions, of firing accurately to nearly 100 miles. The two battleships can also carry nearly twice as many cruise missiles as all the DD(X) hulls combined. All that firepower is available for $2 billion -- the cost of one DD(X).

During the first Gulf War, the Navy brought the USS Missouri out of mothballs and put her back in service, albiet with modern upgrades. At that time, Navy recruiting offices were swarmed with retired and inactive Navy personnel stating that they would be more than willing to re-enter the service IF and ONLY IF they were put on board a battleship.

The whole reason battleships were decommissioned to begin with is because they're expensive. Ain't no lie about that. It's a floating fortress, the meanest, toughest, nastiest thing on all the Seven Seas. A carrier group obviously has more firepower, but that's made up of dozens of ships. One battleship will beat any other thing that floats every damn time, and the USA had the cream of the crop. If we put nuke engines in them and refloated them, they'd STILL be the cream of the crop. Replace the old targeting systems, upgrade their powerplant, and we would have a ship that no country on this planet would want to tangle with.

I say bring 'em back.

I am aghast

John Kerry is looking for letters from the family of soldiers. Not letters of pride and respect. No, that wouldn't do for the Democrats. They're looking for letters describing hardship and suffering from soldiers families.

Gee, why would an uber-liberal senator from Masshole be asking for letters of hardship and suffering?

Go read Kevin's response to John Kerry over at Drumwaster's Rants. I wish I wrote that eloquently sometimes.

Nailed it in one

Via Kim du Toit, (and in turn the Geek w/a .45 and Cap'n Jim) comes this article from The High Road which needs to be a must read for everyone.

Violence and brutality are as much a part of humanity as intelligence and socialization. It is the universal drive of civilization to contain these instincts, to redirect them into more productive channels, to convince people to live within a set of rules. But no matter how civilized, no society has eliminated them, nor will one. The society that forgets this is the society that falls to the barbarian hordes. The society that accepts this, and nurtures the warrior spirit away from barbarism and into the defense of the right is the society that rises to glory.

This is something that people on the Left just can't comprehend. To the Left, everything would be flowers and rainbows if we just gave up our guns and said lots of nice things to each other.

Which is why I say that the Left is infantile and uncomprehending of anything resembling truth and logic.

For as long as mankind has existed, there were humans who preyed on their fellow man. Why? Who knows. Maybe mommy didn't love them enough. Maybe they didn't have any morals or standards. Perhaps they've got a wire loose and they enjoy hurting people. Who knows? But they exist, as is proven on a daily basis where ever humans congregate. Rapists, murderers, burglers, hoodlums, malcontents, ner'dowells, whatever you want to call them, they are here and they don't give two hoots and a hollar about laws, rules, ethics, morals, or any of the other miriad of things that the rest of us live by. The un-named things that make civilization work are just words to these goblins.

So how do you stop them? Knowing that they don't care about laws or rules, knowing that they don't care about anything you do or say, and knowing that they will violate any rule or concept in order to get what they want, how do you stop them?

You can't convince them or talk to them. You have to shoot them. That's an unfortunate fact of life.

So let's talk about needs. This is what I need.

I need to protect my children from harm. I need to stop my front lawn from being a killing field. I need to be safe when I walk out my front door. The government does its part to achieve these things: the Mongol Horde isn't going to come screaming down Main Street stealing my children for slaves. No Zeroes will be strafing my front lawn. The Wehrmacht isn't going to goose-step up the walk and bayonet me when I go to work. But I need to do my part, because no one else can do it for me. No amount of governmental good intention will prevent a man from assaulting me in an alley. No divison of infnatry will stop a thug from raping my wife. No intelligence satellite will catch the man who murders my child before it happens.

What I want is to never be necessary. I devoutly hope to never see true violence, and I have so far managed to avoid even bar fights. I want to be the absolute last line of defense for me and mine, behind every person my tax money has hired to keep my community safe. But no amount of wanting will mean that I am not that last line of defense, and I need, I deserve, I demand the right to be that last line. This is the final remaining vestige of the barbarian impulse, the warrior spirit, that I possess.

One of the main reason I have a gun and belive in carrying it is this simple fact: If anyone or anything attempts to harm my family or my friends, I will wreak terrible vengance upon them.

It is that simple. If you are so morally depraved that you have no problem with assaulting or raping my wife and family, if you are so careless about rules and laws that you break into my house and attempt to steal from me, you will die. Since these criminals cannot be stopped with laws, regulations, or pretty speech, I have no option left but to either be a victim or to eliminate these people from society.

I refuse to be a victim.

Operation Iraqi Freedom has it's first Medal of Honor awardee. Unfortunately, like most soldiers and sailors who win the MOH, it was awarded posthumously.

The White House announced March 29 that President George W. Bush will honor Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith by presenting his family the Medal of Honor on April 4, the second anniversary of his courageous actions during the Battle of Baghdad Airport.

Smith is the first to receive the military’s highest award for actions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In action near the Baghdad Airport on April 4, 2003, Smith, a Soldier in Company B, 11th Engineer Battalion, working with units of the 3rd Infantry Division, was tasked to build a compound to hold enemy prisoners, when his small force came under attack by more than 100 enemies.

Smith threw two grenades and fired rocket launchers at the enemy before manning a .50-caliber machine gun on an M-113 Armored Personnel Carrier to protect his troops. While engaging an enemy attacking from three sides, Smith fired more than 300 rounds from the machinegun before being killed.

He prevented the enemy from overtaking his unit’s position, protected his Task Force’s flank, and defended the lives of more than 100 Soldiers, according to his award citation.

Smith was serving as a platoon sergeant in Bravo Company, 11th Engineer Battalion, Task Force 2-7, 3rd Infantry Division. He had been serving in the Army since October 1989.

So anyways....

Captain's Quarters has been following the scandals up in Canada regarding the Liberal Party's corruption and other sundry problems. Most of the problems stem from something called AdScam, which the Canadian government tried to cover up without success.

Here's my train of thought: Does anyone think that things are different in the USA?

Look at modern politics. Gerrymandering, soft money, hard money, 527's vs. PAC's, lobbying (legal bribery by a different name), all manner of questionable actions are being performed by the politicians here in the USA. Tom DeLay is under fire for supposedly going on a trip with a lobbyist. Hmmmmm... when you look at the records, Nancy Pelosi and Jim McDermott did the exact same thing. Hell, Jim McDermott went on an exact same trip from the exact same group that Tom Delay went on!

The lying, the hypocrisy, the double dealing, the sheer sliminess that oozes out of Washington D.C. on a daily basis is so foul and putrid that normal people gag from the sight of it. This isn't just one party, this is in my opinion deep-seated corruption and rot of the modern political process.

Looking at the problems that the Canadian government is having, how much do people think that the USA has many of the same problems? I say that if we were to dig into the going-ons of American politicians, we'd find plenty of offenses. We just either can't see it or are prevented from digging far enough to expose it.

Anyone else want to give their opinion?

More on the protests in Iraq

If you're not reading Powerline on a regular basis, you probably missed this.

If you relied on the mainstream media for your information about the second anniversary of the liberation of Iraq, all you probably read about was an anti-American demonstration by adherents of the dissident cleric al-Sadr. Haider puts those stories into perspective by pointing out that many other Iraqis turned out to demonstrate with a very different agenda. The sign in the photo above says, in English: "The mass graves are proof enough to find Saddam guilty and hang him."

Now, if you don't read Arabic (which I'd say 99% of Americans don't) then you would see huge crowds waving banners, with the Has-Been Media filling in the details. Those details would be just about as Anti-American as you can get, since the Has-Been Media is by and large, Anti-American. But when someone who actually reads Arabic looks at the banners...

Well....

Iraqis take to the streets on the second anniversary of the liberation of Baghdad. Iraqi government declared it as national day, the day Iraq was freed from Saddam’s barbaric rule. Many of the banners call for the Trial of Saddam and his gang. Other banners condemn terrorist and terrorism. Al-Sadr (who received no seats in the current parliament, because very few voted for him) is taking this opportunity to call for the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Iraq. His request is counter to what the elected government is asking for.

That doesn't sound very anti-American to me. More like pro-Iraqi. And yet where did you see any of this in the so-called Main Stream Media?

That's right. You didn't. Never forget that they are the enemy.

Ain't Surprised at all

CBS Cameraman arrested.

Ever notice how the "journalists" are in the perfect place to get pictures of terrorists attacking US troops? Yeah, gee, I wonder why?

And this quote from an Instapundit reader is right on the money.

The story isn't that CBS is employing terrorists. The story is that no one is surprised CBS is employing terrorists. What's more, I suspect that most Americans, say about 52% of them, feel that most of the MSM outlets with any presence at all in Iraq are employing terrorists.

We all know who the Left is rooting for, and it ain't the USA. The Lame-Stream media, being nothing but the Democrat Party propaganda wing, faithfully sides with the terrorists time and time again. They even stand with them as they attack our troops.

Nothing new here, folks. It's just that they can't hide their activities anymore.

Kerry cites voter intimidation examples

Ole Cut 'n Run is back in the mix!

Many voters in last year's presidential election were denied access to the polls through trickery and intimidation, former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry told a voters' group Sunday.

"Last year too many people were denied their right to vote, too many who tried to vote were intimidated," the Massachusetts senator said at an event sponsored by the state League of Women Voters.

UPDATE: While we're at it, check out these examples of true intimidation.

Florida With Rain

Harumph.

During the two recounts, Mr. Logan's office discovered 566 "erroneously rejected" absentee ballots, plus another 150 uncounted ones that turned up in a warehouse. Evidence surfaced that dead people had "exercised their right to vote"; documentation was presented that 900 felons in King County alone had illegally voted and that military ballots were sent out too late to be counted. A total of 700 provisional ballots had been fed into voting machines before officials had determined their validity. In the four previous November elections, King County workers had never mishandled more than nine provisional ballots in a single election.
Sounds to me like a few more felons need to be rounded up.

I don't live anywhere near Washington State but a hundred bucks sez that in 2000 there was a lot of haughty talk up there about Florida's redneck backwards process.

So anyways

Barring any more troll vomit, the weekend went pretty well. I did a three-day drill with my unit, went to the Yakima Training Center, and helped with rifle qualification. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fire for qualification. It seems there's a war going on, and ammo stock for training is short. The company didn't get all the rounds they requested, and only 85 people in my company were able to fire. So folks like myself who are leaving soon helped run the ranges instead of qualify. It sucks, but it's life in the military.

So now my time is taken up with getting ready to move. Thank god most of our household goods are still in storage. All we have to do is open the door for the movers and let them grab boxes.

I leave for three days....

And the trolls try to get cute. Since our little troll can't behave himself, and tried to use my name to troll, he now get's his pee-pee whacked. I'm just going to summarily delete any comment from his IP from now on.

You've been a bad, bad little troll. Oh well, it's what I've come to expect from the Left. They can't win with their ideas, they have no facts to back them up, so they resort to harrassment and idiocy.

And they STILL can't spell properly. I know that my vocabulary isn't the greatest in the world, but these trolls are like third-grade dropouts.

It looks like I'm finally going to get my orders to Puerto Rico. I'm spending quite a bit of time trying to get a hole of the Personell office in St. Louis, but I recieved an email yesterday that someone is working on my AGR packet.

Hot damn!

I've enjoyed my little stay in Coeur d'Alene, but I hate spinning my wheels.

Oh, THAT liberal media!

The short short version is this: "EEEK! Oh and has a valid ID showing their residence to be in the state where the purchase is taking place) CAN BUY AN AK-47 (of the non-automatic variety)!

My response - SO WHAT?

Being as crime rates are lower in states that have fewer gun laws, let's get those puppies into the hands of private citizens!

OK, I take it back

San Fransisco actually has a purpose. It's the advance party for the Democrats. Don't believe me? Check it out.

Just when you thought the Federal Election Commission had it out for the blogosphere, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors took it up a notch and announced yesterday that it will soon vote on a city ordinance that would require local bloggers to register with the city Ethics Commission and report all blog-related costs that exceed $1,000 in the aggregate.

Blogs that mention candidates for local office that receive more than 500 hits will be forced to pay a registration fee and will be subject to website traffic audits, according to Chad Jacobs, a San Francisco City Attorney.

Do you know what San Fransisco is? San Fran is what happens when the Left gets it's way.

Which is why they're the laughingstock of the country.

But in all honesty, they're working on banning handguns (even as Mayor Newsom proposes putting unarmed fire fighters on street corners to help curb the rising crime rate), they give bums money to live on the street (resulting in public fountains being shut down and closed off due to drug paraphenalia, needles, urine and feces in the water), and now they're going to start banning free speech when possible.

If you want to see the damage that the Left can do, look at San Fransisco.

I hate to say "I told you so"....

but.... I told you so.

Public opposition to "marriages" between homosexuals is at an all-time high, according to a poll released yesterday.
When asked whether they thought same-sex "marriages" should be recognized by the law as valid and come with the same rights as traditional marriages, 68 percent of the respondents in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll said they should not.
Twenty-eight percent said same-sex "marriages" should be valid and 4 percent had no opinion. The survey of 443 adults was conducted March 18 to 20.

Why the change? People didn't just wake up one morning and say "Gosh, being gay is wrong!" They didn't have some sudden change of heart brought on by some mysterious force.

They had a change of heart because people in general will push back when someone is trying to jam crap down their throat. People are getting sick and tired of judicial legislation, and the gay marriage bruhah that came up last year and the year before is having significant backlash.

The gay marriage group has shot themselves in the foot. And while they went from court to court, trying to find a judge that would give them the results they wanted, they called any and all who disagreed with their methods all manner of foul names. There's one woman who insults me whenever she sees a comment of mine on Sondra K's blog. All because I told her to not go through the courts.

Only time will tell if they can reverse the damage they caused to their movement.

"Excuse me, Senator Byrd?"

"Please accompany me to the woodshed."

Robert Byrd is indeed a valuable link not only to the Senate's past, but also to the Democratic Party's history as the party of slavery, segregation, and opposition to equal treatment of blacks.

Byrd is old enough, for example, to have vowed memorably regarding the integration of the Armed Forces by President Truman that he would never fight "with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."

The Schiavo "Rift"

Have you noticed a certain theme in the Has-Been Media when it comes to the Terri Schiavo case? They're practically orgasmic in their gloating about the supposed "rift" that they claim in occuring in the conservative side of politics.

REPUBLICANS are deeply devided. REPUBLICANS are arguing amongst themselves. REPUBLICANS blahblahblahblahblah.

They still don't get it.

We may be arguing and debating, sure. Hell, I disagree with the Kallini's and Drumwaster, and they disagree with DANEgerus, who disagrees with Instapundit, so on and so forth. We are debating, and that's a good thing. But there's one thing that we're NOT debating about.

None of us really wanted Terri Schiavo to die.

The Left cannot make the same statement. And we on the Right recognize that fact. So while the Left chortles and make-believes that the Right is starting to crack, maybe someone should remind them that however deep the devide in the Right over the Schiavo case, it's not too deep to remember who the enemy is.

The Right is the culture of life. The Left is the culture of death. There's no devide so deep on the Right that we forget that.

Vacation blogging

Took a trip on down to Chincoteague Island, Virginia last week. Took pictures galore; thought I'd share.

Chincoteague Island is home to the Assateague Island National Seashore and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Largely undeveloped place, naturally, and largely devoid of the kind of hubbub, noise, trash, and traffic that accompanies visits to other beaches roundabout my home, primarily I think because it's not close to New York, which is where the hubbubic loud trashy people leave to go to beaches in New Jersey and Delaware.

Though Chincoteague is famous for its wild ponies (none of which were close enough for me to photograph), the refuges are homes to all manner of wildlife, especially birds. Birds galore.

NOTE: Every time I go to a place like this, it makes me want to shell out $800 for a real nice digital camera that will work with my film camera's zoon and wide angle lenses. I don't have eight hundred bucks for a camera, alas, so these images from a $250 Olympus will need to suffice.

Sandy Burgler gets away with a felony

Because he pleads it down to a misdemeanor.

Former national security adviser Sandy Berger will plead guilty to taking classified material from the National Archives, a misdemeanor, the Justice Department said Thursday.

Berger is expected to appear in federal court in Washington on Friday, said Justice spokesman Bryan Sierra.

Just so the record is straight - Sandy Berger, who stole CODE WORD DOCUMENTS from the national archives, who stuffed these CODE WORD DOCUMENTS down his pants and in his socks, who DESTROYED CODE WORD DOCUMENTS after he stole them, is now getting off with a slap on the wrist.

Any of us normal people would be in jail right now. Any normal person would have been practially drawn and quartered for doing what Berger did. In fact, when I was a Military Police officer and dealing with Secret documents, if I had mishandled them the way Berger screwed with CODE WORD DOCUMENTS, the HIGHEST LEVEL OF CLASSIFICATION, I would have been spending years in Ft. Leavenworth breaking big rocks into little rocks. But Sandy Berger, having STOLEN AND DESTROYED documents that were THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF CLASSIFICATION, committing SEVERAL FELONIES, is getting off with a misdemeanor.

The liberal elite looking after their own? Berger most likely didn't just up and destroy CODE WORD DOCUMENTS on his own accord. He was recieving instructions from somewhere, like the good little lackey that he is. He was part of a corrupt administration, and he still does it's bidding.

And he got away with it. The fucking criminal got away with a crime that would have sent any person NOT connected with a corrupt liberal administration to jail for decades.

Fuck 'em all. Nuke D.C. now.

Small victory for the vigilantes

Small, but a start.

Federal officials yesterday said more than 500 new U.S. Border Patrol agents will be assigned along the U.S.-Mexico border in southeastern Arizona to combat illegal immigration and protect against potential terrorists.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials said the plan will be announced today, just days before the start of a border vigil by an army of civilian volunteers angry about a lack of immigration enforcement by Congress and the Bush administration.

By their own description, 72 percent of those teaching at American universities and colleges are liberal and 15 percent are conservative, says the study being published this week. The disparity is even more pronounced at the most elite schools, where, according to the study, 87 percent of faculty are liberal and 13 percent are conservative.

Members of a violent Central America-based gang have been sent to Arizona to target Minuteman Project volunteers, who will begin a monthlong border vigil this weekend to find and report foreigner sneaking into the United States, project officials say.
And yes, these Border Minutemen are vigilantes. But vigilanteism always existed for one reason only -- the government not doing its job.

Not much from me in re: Schiavo

I'm not sure about the Federalism argument. I tend to think that if there's someone willing to care for a disabled woman, and that woman's husband wants her dead, someone in government should make it so.

Why does Michael want her dead?

Blah. I'd like to spend the time 'atypin' on this topic, but i'll just parrot someone else instead:

Florida state court Judge George Greer – last heard from when he denied an order of protection to a woman weeks before her husband stabbed her to death – determined that Terri would have wanted to be starved to death based on the testimony of her husband, who was then living with another woman...

Greer has refused to order the most basic medical tests for brain damage before condemning a woman to death...

Greer has cut off the legal rights of Terri's real family and made her husband (now with a different family) her sole guardian, citing as precedent the landmark "Fox v. Henhouse" ruling of 1893...

Given the country's fetishism about court rulings, this may be a rash assumption, but I presume if Greer had ordered that Terri Schiavo be shot at her husband's request – a more humane death, by the way – the whole country would not sit idly by, claiming to be bound by the court's ruling because of the "rule of law" and "federalism."
Well, yeah.

My Next To Last Post About Terry Schiavo

Because my last post on her will be when she dies, which I'm pretty convinced is going to be what happens. It's a sad statement that we'll kill a person through means that would get people arrested if they did it to their dog.

People have been arrested for trying to give Terri a drink of water. Not through a tube to her stomach, but a drink of water in her mouth. But wait, I thought Terri Schiavo was brain dead? How can she swallow water if she's brain dead? Wouldn't she choke to death? Wouldn't that make Micheal Schiavo happy? But wait, a nurse who worked with Terri Schiavo said that she could eat Jell-O on her own, which means she isn't brain dead. Hell, who knows? Since testing hasn't been done, we won't know for certain, and that's too bad. Now Micheal Schiavo doesn't even want an autopsy. Well, that makes sense, because we already know how she'll die. HOURS OF FUCKING STARVATION AND DEHYDRATION, LEADING TO PAINFUL KIDNEY FAILURE, AND ULTIMATELY DEATH.

How the fuck can liberals say that Terri Schiavo isn't suffering from all this because she's brain dead, and yet they say that allowing her to live as a vegetable would make her suffer? More liberal ill-logic, I guess. You can't be a liberal if your brain works.

All in all, I see this as one step closer to a revolution in this country. You can't be so fucked in the head that you allow a so-called husband (who's sleeping with some other chick and fathering illegitimate children with her) to starve and dehydrate his soon-to-be ex-wife to death while maintaining any kind of real civilization. Terri may be brain dead, she may not, the problem is that NOBODY KNOWS!

I know that the Kallini brothers have a different opinion than I do, as well as a whole bunch of other people. That's fine. I just can't agree with starving someone to death because of a husband who stinks like a dead fish. I don't agree with disposing of someone just because they're an inconvenience. And until someone can furnish me with absolute proof that Terri Schiavo is really, truly, 100% brain dead, killing her off is a very bad idea. I don't trust her sleaseball of a husband, I don't trust the courts who have handled this case, and I don't trust any governmental person or agency who has tried to get involved with it.

Fuck it. The next time I see Micheal Moore out on the street, I'll try to convince a judge that he's brain dead (which isn't far from the truth) and I'll get a judge to let me starve him to death. That would go on for months, as Moore has so much fat stored up that he can last for a while, but still, it would be a start. Let's just kill off all the people who are an inconvenience to us, shall we? We already allow fucking crack whores and sluts to have multiple abortions, don't we? This is like an abortion, only it's at the other end of life. Fucking kill everybody off who can't defend themselves, what the hell. Let's get that insurance money rolling in. Let's get the inheritance that we deserve, only a little bit sooner! Fucking kill everybody, old, young, middle aged, if they can't feed themselves then they deserve to fucking die, right? Fuck 'em all, and give me the big fat fucking life insurance policy. It doesn't matter if they're really not brain dead, you just have to convince some fucking judge that they're close enough. And then yank the tube. And arrest people who try to put water into the soon-to-be-deceaced mouths. Which supposedly don't swallow anyways.

It makes me sick.

Here's a tip to everyone who's watching this whole situation - Don't take out a big life insurnace policy. Because if you're in a car wreck and you might be brain dead, it looks like people can just fucking starve you to death and get the cash. So don't give them that incentive. Either that or get a really good living will. Hell, I'll do a post on why you should have a living will later.

Has President Bush lost his fucking mind?

Because it sure seems so.

Kim du Toit has the link to the Washington Post article, but you have to register. I'll cut and paste a bit here just to give you that red curtain of blood.

President Bush yesterday said he opposes a civilian project to monitor illegal aliens crossing the border, characterizing them as “vigilantes.”

He said he would pressure Congress to further loosen immigration law.

Loosen immigration law? You don't even enforce the laws you have now, what the fuck do you think loosening the laws will do? The problem isn't that the laws are strict, the problem is that THIS FUCKING COUNTRY IS TOO FUCKING GUTLESS TO ENFORCE IT'S OWNED DAMN LAWS RELATING TO IMMIGRATION! And when the President of this country is more than happy to bend over and take it straight up the ass from some fucking corrupt piece of shit asshole like Vicente Fox, it does nothing to make honest Americans feel any better!

The people Bush just called "vigilantes" are citizens of this country who are sick and fucking tired of being the chamberpot of Mexico!

More than 1,000 people—including 30 pilots and their private planes—have volunteered for the Minuteman Project, beginning next month along the Arizona-Mexico border. Civilians will monitor the movement of illegal aliens for the month of April and report them to the Border Patrol.

Mr. Bush said after yesterday’s continental summit, with Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin at Baylor University, that he finds such actions unacceptable.

“I’m against vigilantes in the United States of America,” Mr. Bush said at a joint press conference. “I’m for enforcing the law in a rational way."

Enforcing the law? What a fucking joke! How many people pour over our southern border every year? Oh, yeah A FUCKING MILLION! How the FUCK is that enforcing the fucking law? IT'S NOT! I say let these supposed vigilantes have an open season on anyone trying to run across the border. Maybe they'll catch someone like this, a gun-smuggling illegal alien who lives comfortable in this country thanks to the complete and total abdication of governmental responsibility. We can't keep the fucking government out of our lives or pocketbooks even if we wanted to, but ask them to do the fucking job that the sniveling shitheads ARE SUPPOSED TO DO and what you do get? A big fat nothing.

Washington D.C. is nothing but a shithole filled with whores, parasites and charletans. I say let's nuke that place to the ground and start over.

I want to kill flash animation

Look, I know that people with the newest computers and broadband connections who can download three-hundred bajillion megabites per nanosecond can handle just about anything the internet tosses at them, but those of us who's budgets allow for small, low memory computers and dial-up connections have a bitch of a time getting to some websites.

Seriously, checking Yahoo mail on my laptop is a pain in the ass. The damn flash animations (which is always some worthless advertisment or another) take forever to load, and damn if they aren't the FIRST FUCKING THING to get up and running. So I sit here for a while, waiting for this crap to finish downloading before I can check my mail. And don't even bother telling me to shell out the bucks for broadband, because the phone lines out here won't do it. We're dealing with 1960's technology that isn't even capable of DSL. Getting a cable modem out to this house would cost thousands of dollars.

I'm starting to contemplate boycotting websites that run too much flash animation. It's all ads and crap anyways. Just another form of spam. Blah.

Expect gas prices to keep rising

I was listening to an investment program on the radio tonight and I learned that there are no plans whatsoever to build any new oil refineries in this country.

None.

I've been over this before. Without building new refineries, it doesn't matter what the price of crude oil does because it can't get processed quickly enough! And not only have we NOT built any new refineries, we don't have any plans to do so! We cannot meet fuel demand as it is and we are making no moves to ease that shortage!

Here's my prediction - $3.00 per gallon within five years. Bank on it. And until refineries get built, it'll keep rising.

Thoughts on Terry Schiavo

1st, I agree with Kim du Toit. Why in the name of all that is holy are we giving control of this issue to CONGRESS?!?!?!?!?!?!

Once the government takes power, it does not give it back. Giving Congress power over this matter means that they'll have that power from now until this country falls. It's idiotic.

Second, before the whole issue of "life or death" can be determined, we need to cut through all the bullshit of "he said she said" and figure out just how alive Terry Schiavo is. Does she respond to verbal stimuli? Does she recognise individual people? If the answer is yes, then she's not really brain dead, is she? Also, why is the husband refusing to let the parents take over responsibility for her? They've said that they're willing to take care of her, and that he can get a divorce if he wants and move on with his life. He's refused. WHY? My mental alarms are going off with this guy, and I'm wondering what he's trying to hide.

And lastly, my mother has plainly stated (although in much nicer terms) that if she's to a point where she can't even wipe her own ass, pull the plug. Plain and simple. My mom doesn't want to live if it means that I have to wipe her butt while a machine breathes for her. And I can respect that. But I don't know if that's how Terry Schiavo felt. So I can't make that decision for her.

My impulse is to keep her alive. Her parents want to take care of her, and her husband seems overly eager to put her to death. I don't understand why you would want someone to die when people have made it clear that they'll take care of any responsibility, so I'm firmly on the side of "Keep her alive", if only for the thoughts in my mind that the husband may be the one responsible for her brain trauma.

Don't get all pissed off and send me notes for one side of the other. I'm just expressing my thoughts.

UPDATE: Gee, read a few blogs and look what turns up!

There is considerable evidence that Mr. Schiavo has no interest in his wife's welfare. He refuses to permit the physical therapy patients in Terri's state generally receive. Although a CAT scan of Terri's brain has been done, he refuses to allow PET and MRI scans, which are the best diagnostic tools for determining whether enough of her brain exists to sustain consciousness. And witnesses claim Terri has lost teeth and developed bedsores as a result of neglect.

Refused an MRI for his wife? There should be alarm bells ringing in the heads of all right-thinking people. You do not refuse a test for someone that you love and want to recover. Period. This whole story stinks like week old fish, or your local liberal protesters after a day in the sun.

We have to fight for a right to life for non-pretty people. We’ve already lost the battle to defend the unborn. Now liberals want to kill full-grown people who are inconvenient to have around. Liberals laugh when conservatives say “slippery slope,” but look where we are today. Fifty years ago, people would have been outraged by hospital staffers badgering them for permission to kill their relatives. But now it’s routine, and we starve babies to death, and we abort female children because we want boys. If we keep exercising the prerogatives of godhood, within a decade or two, we’ll be killing retarded newborns. I’m sure it’s being done already, knowing what I know of the current excesses of the liberal culture of death, but I believe we’ll be doing it openly.

'Nuff said? Yep.

Making my point for me

I love some of these comments....

"shooting lefties" huh? The last Bushie I kicked to the curb cried like a baby.

"Oh, I'm sorry, don't hit me any more" he wimpered.

Y'all fold up can cower when confronted. Ya ain't nothing but pussies.
Jimbo | 03.20.05 - 8:42 pm

As if that wasn't obviously fake blather from an idiot hiding behind a keyboard? So much for being "peacefull" and "tolerant".

Why do seppo wingnuts assume the left can't shoot? I won't kill a pig, but you're fair game.
Dave | 03.21.05 - 1:22 am

How about because the Left has disarmed itself and is attemting to disarm the rest of the country, Dave? Gun Control is a hallmark of socialists and communists the world over. In fact, do you know what a communist is? A socialist who's managed to take away a person's gun. And admitting that you'd like to kill me is a big first step. Start your little war!

Shoot away. The last time the red state loud mouths shot at the blues they got their red whiney hineys shot full of holes.
Armed to the teeth and trained | 03.21.05 - 12:38 pm

I assume you speak of the Civil War, which would be the only time states have shot at each other. Unfortunately for you, that was Democrat slave owners revolting against a Republican who wanted to abolish slavery. The Republican in question is Abraham Lincoln. Perhaps when you've read a few history books, you can come back and argue without being laughed at. And pardon me for laughing out loud at your preposterous claim of being armed to the teeth.

Satire is dead, folks. When the Left can only muster up these examples, which do nothing but prove my points for me, you just can't make fun of that.

Well, maybe Scrappleface can, but he's got a whole lot more talent for satire than I do. This last comment provides all the proof I need from the Left.

Jeez, chill out, Dave. That picture was taken in Canada and has nothing to do with liberals in the United States. Would you like to be responsible for what all the right-wingers in other countries say? I don't think so.
As a Jewish person myself, btw, I don't need lectures about anti-Semitism from the likes of you, thank you.
David | 03.21.05 - 1:31 pm

This has got to be the most overused, mealy mouthed, pussifed comeback in use by the Left today. It in no way clears the Left of their obligation to be sane and rational, yet attempts to force the subject onto a different tack.

Hey David, guess to forced Trent Lott to step down when he made is idiotic comments at Strom Thurmand's birthday party?

Here's a hint - it wasn't you liberals. It was the conservatives who were outraged at what he said.

You can find rants about President Bush and other Republicans on this blog. In fact, on almost every conservative blog you can see the writer pointing at some idiot who happens to be on the Right and saying "No way, he doesn't speak for me!" The difference is that you don't see that on the Left. EVER!

The Left ties itself into knots trying to excuse the behavior of people who call me a Nazi, and say that President Bush is a terrorist. IT'S BECAUSE THE LEFT AGREES WITH THOSE PEOPLE! The reason I hold the Left responsible for the going-ons of other liberal idiots is because I have yet to see one Leftists speak out against the idiots and insane lunatics that the Left has become. It's very simple. You don't condem it because you agree with it, and not one single Leftist who left a comment here has bothered to say "Hey, you know what? Those people are fucking nuts."

That's because, deep down, you DON'T condem it.

And as for your little "you're not jewish so you can't talk about anti-semitism" bit of bullshit, PLEASE! I recognise hatred when I see it, and I don't need to be Jewish to recognise anti-semitism. Again, you attempt to sidetrack the discussion without answering the main point of it. Nice try, Leftie, but you're still a fucking moron.

Anyone else out there want to give it the 'ol college try?

Here's a Thought....

And it's also a statement of just how out of touch with reality the Left is today -

Go look at this picture. It's from yet another brainless Leftist anti-war protest. Here's the link that picture came from, with even more pictures highlighting the bankrupt ideology of the Left.

Here's a run-down of everthing in a short paragraph.

"Bush is Hitler. Bush is a Nazi. America is full of Nazi's. Bush is evil. Bush Hitler Bush Hitler Bush Hitler Bush Hitler and America is run by the Jews."

So let me get this straight - these idiots, these mindless drones, these babbling morons, these drooling halfwits are equating President Bush to a genocidal dictator who sent millions of Jewish people to be tortured, gassed to death, and buried in mass graves, yet at the same time claiming that America is controlled by the Jews?

Wow. Idiocy, hatred, and anti-Semitism all wrapped into one protest! Bravo! And people wonder why I refuse to debate with these ignorant asses?

For even more examples of how the Left in this country thinks, visit here. Make sure to remove anything throwable from your computer desk first.

There can be no discussion with people who cannot deal with reality. You cannot debate the Left while they live in their drug-induced fantasy world. The more I see of the Left, the more I wish they would start that civil war they keep talking about.

Because then I would get to shoot them.

In The Same Vein....

as the post below this one, here is the full text of Patrick Henry's famous speech.

Must Read Essay

"What Good Can A Handgun Do Against An Army?"

Your assignment is to print this out and distribute it as widely as possible. Make sure you publish the author's name (no plagerism!), as it's copywritten. It's too long to just cut and paste, so here's an example of what it's like.

A new friend of mine gave me a plaque the other day. Upon it is written these words by Winston Churchill, a man who knew much about fighting tyranny:

"Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."

The Spartans at Thermopolae knew this. The fighting Jews of Masada knew this, when every man, woman and child died rather than submit to Roman tyranny. The Texans who died at the Alamo knew this. The frozen patriots of Valley Forge knew this. The "expendable men" of Bataan and Corregidor knew this. If there is one lesson of Hitlerism and the Holocaust, it is that free men, if they wish to remain free, must resist would-be tyrants at the first opportunity and at every opportunity. Remember that whether they come as conquerors or elected officials, the men who secretly wish to be your murderers must first convince you that you must accept them as your masters. Free men and women must not wait until they are "selected," divided and herded into Warsaw Ghettos, there to finally fight desperately, almost without weapons, and die outnumbered.

OK......

So, ONE.... count 'em, ONE senator actually stood up and opposed the McCain-Feingold bill... and it wasn't a Republican?

Figures. There's a reason I told the repubs to piss off.

Victor Davis Hanson

Has put into words something that I've tried to do, and just can't do as well.

Thus, if former Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore breezily castigates Bush’s Internet supporters as “digital brownshirts”; if current Democratic-party chairman Howard Dean says publicly, “I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for" — or, “This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good"; or if NAACP chairman Julian Bond screams of the Bush administration that “Their idea of equal rights is the American flag and the Confederate swastika flying side by side,” the bar of public dissent has so fallen that it is easy to descend a tad closer to the bottom to compare a horrific killer to an American president.
...
Do the ghosts of six million that were incinerated — or, for that matter, the tens of millions who were killed to promote or stop Hitler’s madness — count for so little that they can be so promiscuously induced when one wishes to object to stopping the filibuster of senatorial nominations or to ignore the objection of Europeans in removing the fascistic Saddam Hussein?

There is something profoundly immoral for a latte-sipping, upscale Westerner of the postmodern age flippantly evoking Hitler when we think of the countless souls lost to the historical record who were systematically starved and gassed in the factories of death of the Third Reich.

Damn. Just damn. Go read the whole thing, because it needs to be said, over and over and over again.
