Iraqi Television Advertises Elections

Those who supported the liberation of Iraq may enjoy these advertisements airing on Iraqi television to promote the coming elections. It does the heart good to know that our deligence has given millions of people, previously the subjects of brutal oppression, the freedom to vote in free and open elections.

Therefore, we cannot stand by and watch the oppression and tyranny that have hurt Iraq. I have resisted this tyranny for over thirty years and I've been a target of attempted assassinations. I have returned to my country to take part in its rebuilding. Therefore, we have assembled a party to run in the elections and called it "The Iraqi List". It will create a new tomorrow for a strong Iraq.

Donks Gave VIP Tickets to Protestors

Via Matt Margolis at Blogs For Bush:

The most effective -- and disruptive -- protest may have come from the anti-war group Code Pink, which obtained 16 tickets to the inauguration from their members of Congress. Eight female activists, including Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin of San Francisco, obtained seats in the VIP section.

They took their cue during Bush's speech -- when he spoke about the rights of people living under dictatorships to "free dissent" -- and unfurled banners reading "No War" and "Bush Mandate: Bring the Troops Home." Police confiscated the banners but did not remove the women.

Matt goes on to say that the tickets were given to them by congressional Donks from New York and California.

Later these protestors pulled out a second stash of signs that read:

"Womyn for the Taliban" and

"Uday Respects Right to Choose"

Leftists everybody!! Let's help them with their bags!

Who woulda thunk it?

I mean, liberals being hypocrites and all.

And in the intrest of accuracy, no the guy wasn't guarding the Fat Fuck From Flint when he got busted, but the very fact that Michael Moore employs bodyguards who use the very weapons that the Michigan Manatee would refuse his fellow citizens speaks volumes.

"Do as I say, not as I do". Hypocricy. Liberals are frigging RIPE with it.

Just keep this in mind, folks: Gun control isn't so much about the GUNS as it is about the CONTROL. If they take away your guns, then you're easier to control. The Left leans further and further towards totalitarianism every damn day, and many of them are pissed that they can't put ordinary people like you and I under their thumb. They'll do anything they can to control you.

Guns are our last line of defense.

Inauguration Antics

AK has a nice roundup, if I haven't managed to piss you off already. The whole RNS crew has been on a roll lately, so check them out if you don't already do so.

RCOB

RED CURTAIN OF BLOOD.

And I've saved the picture, just so I can post it if Yahoo wants to pull that photo down. Go take a look. GO! LOOK!

Those slimy little shit sucking, gutless, worthless, whiney, spoiled, idiotic, retarded, moronic, cowardly little fucksticks take great pleasure assaulting a man who had sworn to protect them with his life if need be. I'm sure that every person in that picture claims that they believe in free speech. However, only ONE person in that picture has the courage to put actions behind his words, and that would be the one person in uniform.

The rest of those mindless goons are nothing but communist brownshirts in the making.

Thank god I wasn't there. I would have ended up in jail, and many of those little communist fucks would have ended up in the hospital. Wouldn't THAT be great for my military career? Does anyone really wonder why I left that fucking shithole? Can anyone really question why I got the hell out of that festering cesspool? Seattle needs to be bulldozed flat and then have the ground salted so that none of these little communist fucksticks can survive.

Fuck 'em all. People like that aren't worth defending.

RCOB Overload

As if my blood pressure wasn't high enough after finding that photo of the Army SFC today, I hop over to Kim du Toit's blog, hoping to find a little blood and guts blogging to clear my head and instead find this.

What really irritated me was a scene I witnessed in the Lincoln’s wardroom a few days ago. I went in for breakfast as I usually do, expecting to see the usual crowd of ship’s company officers in khakis and air wing aviators in flight suits, drinking coffee and exchanging rumors about when our ongoing humanitarian mission in Sumatra is going to end.

What I saw instead was a mob of civilians sitting around like they owned the place. They wore various colored vests with logos on the back including Save The Children, World Health Organization and the dreaded baby blue vest of the United Nations. Mixed in with this crowd were a bunch of reporters, cameramen and Indonesian military officers in uniform. They all carried cameras, sunglasses and fanny packs like tourists on their way to Disneyland.

My warship had been transformed into a floating hotel for a bunch of trifling do-gooders overnight.

As I went through the breakfast line, I overheard one of the U.N. strap-hangers, a longhaired guy with a beard, make a sarcastic comment to one of our food servers. He said something along the lines of “Nice china, really makes me feel special,” in reference to the fact that we were eating off of paper plates that day. It was all I could do to keep from jerking him off his feet and choking him, because I knew that the reason we were eating off paper plates was to save dishwashing water so that we would have more water to send ashore and save lives. That plus the fact that he had no business being there in the first place.

My attitude towards these unwanted no-loads grew steadily worse that day as I learned more from one of our junior officers who was assigned to escort a group of them. It turns out that they had come to Indonesia to “assess the damage” from the Dec. 26 tsunami.

Well, they could have turned on any TV in the world and seen that the damage was total devastation. When they got to Sumatra with no plan, no logistics support and no five-star hotels to stay in, they threw themselves on the mercy of the U.S. Navy, which, unfortunately, took them in. I guess our senior brass was hoping for some good PR since this was about the time that the U.N. was calling the United States “stingy” with our relief donations.

As a result of having to host these people, our severely over-tasked SH-60 Seahawk helos, which were carrying tons of food and water every day to the most inaccessible places in and around Banda Aceh, are now used in great part to ferry these “relief workers” from place to place every day and bring them back to their guest bedrooms on the Lincoln at night. Despite their avowed dedication to helping the victims, these relief workers will not spend the night in-country, and have made us their guardians by default.

When our wardroom treasurer approached the leader of the relief group and asked him who was paying the mess bill for all the meals they ate, the fellow replied, “We aren’t paying, you can try to bill the U.N. if you want to.”

In addition to the relief workers, we routinely get tasked with hauling around reporters and various low-level “VIPs,” which further wastes valuable helo lift that could be used to carry supplies. We had to dedicate two helos and a C-2 cargo plane for America-hater Dan Rather and his entourage of door holders and briefcase carriers from CBS News. Another camera crew was from MTV. I doubt if we’ll get any good PR from them, since the cable channel is banned in Muslim countries. We also had to dedicate a helo and crew to fly around the vice mayor of Phoenix, Ariz., one day. Everyone wants in on the action.

As for the Indonesian officers, while their job is apparently to encourage our leaving as soon as possible, all they seem to do in the meantime is smoke cigarettes. They want our money and our help but they don’t want their population to see that Americans are doing far more for them in two weeks than their own government has ever done or will ever do for them.

To add a kick in the face to the USA and the Lincoln, the Indonesian government announced it would not allow us to use their airspace for routine training and flight proficiency operations while we are saving the lives of their people, some of whom are wearing Osama bin Ladin T-shirts as they grab at our food and water. The ship has to steam out into international waters to launch and recover jets, which makes our helos have to fly longer distances and burn more fuel.

That's right folks, the USS Abraham Lincoln is hosting the worst sort of money grubbing, parasitic, America hating opportunists that you can think of, and in addition to adding absolutely NOTHING to the mission, they are detracting from our ability to help the people who need it most! How many of these transi fucks have we been ferrying around instead of food and water? How many of these unelected beurocrats have we had to deal with instead of the people who need help? The "International Aid" people don't want to help anyone but themselves, and do it on America's dime!

You can add to the above this tale of UN asshattery, as recounted by Diplomad that was sent to be by a wonderful reader. (D.L., you know who you are)

"As we come up on two weeks since the disaster struck, the U.N. is still not to be seen where it counts -- except when holding well-staged press events...

"Ah, yes, but the luxury hotels are full of U.N. assessment teams and visiting big shots from New York, Geneva, and Vienna. The city sees a steady procession of U.N. Mercedes sedans and top-of-the-line SUV's -- a fully decked out Toyota Land Cruiser is the U.N. vehicle of choice; it doesn't seem that concerns about 'global warming' and preserving your tax dollars run too deep among the U.N.ocrats...

You know what all these UN idiots are good for on a US Navy ship? Ballast. The people flying those helicopters should go up to about 2000 feet and then toss any person not there on USA orders right out the side. They think they are the end all be all of humanity? Fuck 'em. See how well they can fly. Or let me go over there and just shoot them so that our boys and girls can get back to doing what needs to be done.

Mark my words, the only countries that are worth anything have sent money, supplies, and manpower to Southeast Asia. The countries who aren't worth two squirts of piss sent the UN. And as far as I'm concerned, the UN needs to be dismantled, destroyed, blown up, annihilated, killed, removed from existance. The UN is THE biggest impediment to peace and prosperity in the modern world. Every day, every report, simply brings us more evidence to that fact.

On the other hand

Look at this post and tell me if you see anything wrong.

Nope, didn't think so. Anyone have a problem with just imploding the Capitol Building, with all the congresscritters inside, and starting over?

Oh, OK, Larry Craig can live. But that's the only concession I'm making.

Another item checked off, and the fuss about SUV's.

Took a PT test for the Army today and passed it. That was the last hurdle towards getting my AGR packet in, so I feel pretty damn good right now. I was worried about the run, since I'm still fighting this damn cold, but I managed to eke it out. Increased my push-ups and sit-ups from the last drill as well. All in all, not a bad day.

Now then.... Check this out. Lee at South Carolina Confidential wrote a post about SUVs. Rob Smith at Gut Rumbles read the post and responded, albeit in his rather brusque fashion. Now, I like both guys, and I can see both points of view, but I think they both missed the main reason of why so many SUVs are on the road.

First of all, let's look at Lee's take on it, shall we? Just to give you a brief snippet, he objects not to many of the vehicles themselves, but the people driving them.

I don't know how many times I have been behind one of these monsters, watched them slow down to a crawl and climb gingerly over a speed bump. Oopsie...daisey. Good freaking GOD. Yet these same folks will zoom down a snow-covered road like they are trying to qualify at Taledaga. They got four wheel drive and, by god, now's the time to flaunt it.
I am the proud owner of a Jeep CJ5. I like four-wheel drive vehicles.
What I don't like is status-seeking poseurs.

Now, as the proud rider of a motorcycle, I can say that I have experienced more ass-hatted idiots, morons, incompetent fuckwads, dipshits, worthless goat-fucking retards, and all around gawd-awful drivers in SUV's than in anything else. Even the penis-compensating BMW drivers don't match up with the idiots behind the wheel of a four-wheel drive Battlestar Galactica. These people are brain dead and not afraid to show it while they're driving. The only person who ever made me flip up my visor and scream "YOU NEED TO BE PUT UP AGAINST A WALL AND SHOT, YOU NON-DRIVING FUCK!" was driving a big white Ford Excursion, with which they forced me out of my lane and into oncoming traffic to avoid being run over. So when Lee goes off on Status-seeking poseurs, I feel his pain. For all the eco-freaks and liberals running around Seattle, I have never seen more SUV's, massive trucks, and tanks with wheels in my life. I guess they need a lot of room to put their "No War For Oil" signs in when they're done protesting. They buy the biggest damn truck they can and then go from home to work, from work to home, wash it twice in either direction, and then drive like their heads were cut off and shoved up their ass before they started the engine.

However, Rob (and his merry band of commenters) also have a point that these people have a right to buy these vehicles. This is America, dammit, and if I want to buy the biggest damn tank on wheels possible I have the freedom to do so. I think Rob missed the real point, which was that the PEOPLE driving these vehicles, not the vehicles themselves, are what set Lee off.

But would anyone like to take a guess at why there are so many damn SUVs on the road in the first place? Anyone? Anyone? Put your hand down Drum, you already know everything.

In 1975, the government put into place these little things called CAFE standards. Corporate Average Fuel Economy. In short, the government told car manufacturers that they could only sell cars and light trucks that get a certain number of miles per gallon. These standards effect cars and light trucks.

The problem with CAFE standards is that there is only so much you get out of an engine that's sipping gas. In order to reduce emissions and make cars more fuel efficient, car makers had to make the cars lighter. When's the last time you saw a standard car with metal bumpers? My dad's old truck had them. My mom's old vehicle had them. But try and find metal bumpers these days? Ain't gonna happen. It's all plastic 5MPH bumpers.

In addition to all of this, car makers had to make their engines and transmissions more complex. Where my dad and I could literally sit in the engine compartment of his old truck and work on anything we saw, newer cars are a mess of wires, vacuum hoses, computerized components, and more technical gadgetry than Issac Azimov could ever dream about.

That stuff costs money, folks. From the design on down, you need more moolah.

That means unless you want to drive a powered roller skate with a plastic shell, you're going to paying out huge amounts of cash just to get a full-sized sedan. Notice that most car makers are out of the full-sized market, or at least far far below where they were a decade ago.

Now, imagine that you're Mr. Joe Snuffy, an average American who needs a new vehicle. You've got Mrs. Snuffy to think about, plus the little Snuffys and maybe a dog or two. You go to a car lot to see what you can find. All you know is that you need cargo space and safety.

Well, you can buy a full-sized sedan for about $25,000, or for a few grand more, you can get the biggest damn behemoth you've ever seen. It seats eight comfortably, has a fold-out charcoal grill and smoker in the back, hauls two tons and has four wheel drive.

Just what in the hell is Mr. Snuffy going to do? Drive home a sedan that MIGHT fit his entire family, or for about the same price drive home an SUV that'll fit his family, his neighbor's family, and tow a boat for them all to go to the lake with?

It's all a matter of government interference and economics, folks. Due to government meddling, most car makers won't build full sized sedans, which used to be the family car of choice. Too expensive. Too much hassle, and to top it off when the final price is calculated it's almost the same as an SUV. It's either minivans or SUV's sitting on a car lot, because America has spoken, and what we said was "I don't want to pay that much for a car, but I will pay that same amount for an SUV."

Granted, if people would learn how to drive that would be nice, but putting them in a small car won't make them better drivers. It might, however, get them to kill themselves off before they get an SUV, so that might be a better choice. However, don't blame people for buying SUV's, blame the government for taking choice away from the consumer. You can still blame them for being zombified fucknozzles behind the wheel.

By the way, I drive a light truck and my wife drives a 1986 Chevy Blazer. The early SUV. It was rather nice in Seattle, since the brain-dead fuckwads might try to injure her but they were never able to do so.

Oh, and Rob? Lighten up, bro. Lee's on our side.

Lileks

Having lived on the East Coast, I can see why some people love it. And I understand why I didn’t, in the end. At some point in your life you may think I'd prefer a little less public urination, if I might. The fact that some prefer the Big City strikes me as utterly unremarkable, and I’d bet that most people in Red states don’t think much about why Blue staters like to live in concentrated urban centers. Why? Because they don’t care. They know that the big cities have advantages the rural areas lack, but they’re not that important to them, and they don’t worry about what they’re missing. If they do, then they move.

Ah yes, the happy memory of walking to the market in downtown Seattle and having to skirt the piles of feces that the drunk and drugged out bums left anywhere they could. Gee, who wouldn't miss that?

Maybe what often bothers the Blue staters isn't the ire of the Maroonies; in the end, it's the relative indifference. We think of you, all right - just not as much as you think about yourselves. And probably more than you think about us. Take care; love, Red.

Yeah, there's a reason this man gets paid to write.

Linky Love!

John Cross is pissed. Can't say I blame him. If that fat parasite came to my state to blather away, I'd be pretty damn pissed as well.

Kim du Toit voices his opinion about the "new" government nutrition standards. Here's my two cents:

The government, being about as competent as a skanked out hooker on qualudes, should shut the hell up and get the hell out of our lives. When it comes to what a person should eat, the last group of mental fuck-ups I want giving me advice is the government. Does anyone remember the hullaballo about eggs? "Eggs are good! Low in fat! Eat more eggs!" A few years later, "EEEEEEEK! CHOLESTORAL! EGGS ARE BAD! DON'T EAT EGGS!" A few years after that, "Oh, GOOD cholestoral. Who woulda thunk it? Eat some eggs". And meanwhile, those of us who don't give one flying fuck about what the government says we should eat were eating eggs all along and doing fine.

I can't recall any organization being so wrong so often on the subject of nutrition than the US Government. Take all their standards and advice and toss it in the trash. Or burn it. Whatever works for you.

And as for this "Center for Science for the Public Intrest", they can go fuck themselves with a running chainsaw. The one page I saw looks like their just another government money sucking group of fuckoffs that can't find real jobs. Either that, or they're the ultimate in nanny-state worshiping Leftists, in which case they should just be shot on sight.

John Fonda Kerry's blathering about the economy is proven to be utter bullshit once again. Gee, what a surprise.

Francis Poretto remarks on the exchange between Barbara Boxer and Condi Rice. See, this is the perfect example of how I couldn't work in the government for very long. If I was verbally attacked by this worthless parasite, I'm sure I would try to say just what Mr. Poretto does, but what would come out of my mouth would sound more like "Shut the fuck up, you communist bitch. If you and your Democrat pals hadn't been so busy sucking dictator dick every chance you got, you might have actually HEARD THE PRESIDENT SAY THAT THERE WAS NO EMMINANT THREAT!"

I wouldn't last too long.

Oh, and Mr. Poretto also opines on what could laughingly be called "modern art". Again, here's my two cents:

Once poetry and art became political, it was in effect ruined. Art should have no political boundries, because one of the things that makes art great is it's ability to reach beyond political borders. The Sistine Chapel is beautiful, no matter what your politics are. But most art today? Take a guess what side of the political spectrum it's on?

Here's a hint - try to find out how many conservatives are on the National Endowment for the Arts payroll. Not damn many. (And if the NEA died tomorrow, I'd celebrate.)

Maybe I'll find some more for ya later.

Job Search Completed

Let's see here.... Move to Idaho - Check. Get a job - Check. Have wild monkey sex with my wife.....

Crap. She's still in Seattle. OK, so that will have to wait until the 29th of this month, but two out of three ain't bad.

It's only a restaurant job, but it'll pay the bills and it won't kill me to walk away from it if I get picked up by the AGR.

By the way, did Kevin the Troll (not Kevin Baker, the wildly famous anti-GFW) ever come back to try and figure out what AGR was? Just curious. My own twisted sense of humor wanted to have a little fun making him dance.

Anywho, I'm once again gainfully employed. I start Wednesday afternoon. All in all, not bad. I got a job quicker when I moved to Seattle, but that was also the only job I've ever been laid off from. Fun place to work, but upper management couldn't find their own asses with a map and a set of guide dogs. Over half of my department was laid off, and we were a small department all in all. The bigger departments took huge cuts. Kinda sad to see that place now. So much promise, right down the shitter.

Anyways, it's late and I have to take the dogs out for their last romp. See you all later.

Good-bye to bad science

I've harped on the worthlessness of ballistic fingerprints before, but Kevin Baker absolutely nails the coffinlid shut on it.

With pictures.

Bookmark that page, folks. It's quite possibly the most definitive rebuttle of the ballistic fingerprinting argument that I've seen. Print it out and deliver it to all your gun-grabbing friends.

Found via Kim du Toit, of course.

Firefox

I downloaded Mozilla's Firefox web browswer about two weeks ago, and gave it a test run on my old laptop here. I wanted to see what it was like before I decided to keep it or dump it.

Microsoft Explorer can lick my nuts. I'm keeping Firefox.

Check it out yourself. Hey, it's free.

Ouch

If you don't like watching a liberal fuckhead getting a new asshole torn into him by someone who actually knows that their talking about, then don't go here.

By the way, I think it's safe to say that the Columbia Journalism Review can simply be called "A Fucking Joke" and left at that. Any hint of professionalism or respect that the CJR might have attained in the past is gone.

G. O. N. E. All caps. Bold. Underlined. GONE Rating no higher than toilet paper in it's usefulness.

I must have missed this in US History

I guess there are some people who want to think that Abraham Lincoln was gay.

What proof do they have of that? Hell if I know. They talk about his "profound depressions", yada yada yada. A whole bunch of psyco-babble that doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Seriously, what proof do they have that Lincoln was gay? Their discussions about depression and his "strange relations"? Sorry folks, but if all you have to go on is historical records that you try to analyze with your psycotherapy bullshit, you don't have squat.

Here's what I know - Abe Lincoln was married and fathered children with his wife. If you want to figure out why he was so depressed, why don't you try this on for size:

Up until he became president, Lincoln's political career was a history of failure. He lost more elections than he won, by a large margin. In fact, his political career was rather short until he became president.

Once president, he presided over the bloodiest war in American history. THE BLOODIEST. And it was in part due to his refusal to allow slavery in this country. Imagine being responsible for the deaths of thousands upon thousands of your fellow citizens, over an ideal that wasn't all that popular in much of the country.

These liberal fuckwits can't even figure out why over half of this country voted for George Bush, and yet they want us to simply accept their assertions that Lincoln was gay? No, I don't think so. I need much better proof than "Oh, I just know these things." If there's anything that's been proven in the past few years, it's that there's nothing more unreliable than a leftist with an agenda. And yes, I include Andrew Sullivan in that catagory. I don't care what the asshole said a few years ago, he's nothing but another leftist idiot full of sound and fury. His crusade to prove that Lincoln was gay, along with his crusade against President Bush, as well as a number of his other crusades, have pretty much ripped that veil wide open. He might be conservative back in his home country, but he's nothing but another hack in this one. Sorry Sully, you're a fucking moron. I calls it as I sees it.

Tremendous stuff...

Check out your fellow Americans hype in ghetto gear.

The Army Met It's FY2004 Recruiting Goals

Just in case some Moore-on tells you otherwise:

For the fifth year in a row, the U.S. Army Recruiting Command hit its fiscal year active-duty and Reserve recruiting goals.
As of Sept. 27 (2004) , the command brought in 77,587 active Army recruits against a Department of the Army mission of 77,000, and 21,278 Reserve recruits against a 21,000 requirement.

Vermont high school hoops game nets seven points

CBS SportsLine.com

The Poor Man

Or so they say.

It's great that the nice left-wing billionaires gave us all this money, but it's a fucking sad commentary on the state of liberal politics that we have to rely on sympathetic billionaires for support. I'm not sure that there's an endless supply of sympathetic billionaires out there to prop us up.
Muah!

UberClassic!

Moonbats' Delight

And just because

If CBS news ran a story that said the sky was blue, the sun rose in the East and set in the West, and that birds typically build nests in trees...

I'd go out to check for myself before I believed it.

CBS. Credibility Been Shredded. If it weren't for CSI I wouldn't watch CBS at all. As it is, I don't watch any kind of news they put out. Anyone checked out that report of theirs? Mike did. It's laughable at best.

And Cox and Forkum sum it up rather well.

Twice.

Hate Speech?

Maybe the reason the Left screams about hate speech so much is because they're so familiar with it.

Job Hunting

Yep, that's the order of the day. Sorry about the lack of ranting and spittle flinging diatribes, but when one must pay the rent while being unemployed, one must choose their priorities. Blog or hunt for work? Hmmmmm...

I love yous guys, but I gotta get paid.

However, I did have an interview today and it looked pretty promising. Nothing fancy, just restaurant work, but if I get picked up by the AGR next month I want a job where I don't feel bad about saying "Sorry, gotta go".

In other news, there's a country who doesn't want the USA to help with tsunami relief. I guess they don't want their good muslim slaves to be polluted by the freedom loving Americans or something like that. Fine and dandy. I say pull out right now, and let their moon god answer their prayers. Let's go where we are wanted. There are plenty of other countries that could use our help, we don't need to waste our time aiding a bunch of ignorant psyco-religious fuckwits.

Anywho, I'm off to fill out more applications. See ya round.

Like Fertilizer to Stupid

Old Oliver Willis has thrown a ram because he suspects that many conservative columnists (and bloggers) have been or are being paid to wax favorable about Republicans.

Hmmm. So what surfaces today?

On Dean’s campaign, we paid Markos and Jerome Armstrong as consultants, largely in order to ensure that they said positive things about Dean. We paid them over twice as much as we paid two staffers of similar backgrounds, and they had several other clients.

While they ended up also providing useful advice, the initial reason for our outreach was explicitly to buy their airtime. To be very clear, they never committed to supporting Dean for the payment -- but it was very clearly, internally, our goal.
Heh.

"Screw 'em!" Zuniga was on the Dean Dole? The mind boggles.

I like this little tidbit:

Imagine Howard Dean hiring Maureen Dowd!

Common Sense Election Reform

I've come to admire the contributions of Almiranta, a regular contributor to the comments at Blogs For Bush. Recently she submitted a post on election reform that fits perfectly the title I've chosen for this blog entry. I sent her an email asking if I could share her thoughts here on the 4. I present it as she sent it to me. Thanks, Almiranta!

It is clear that voting in this country is a mess. Partly by intent, as in the fraud apparent in Washington. Partly by simple human error. Partly by political wrangling to try to get as many people registered as possible if that demographic appears to be favorable to that particular party.

I’d really like to see a serious effort in the next two years to clean up the voter registration mess, as a start. Maybe one way to do this would be to send a letter to every registered voter, informing him/her that this registration must be renewed within a certain period of time, by filling out and returning a form, to be kept on the books. As the notices would be sent to the supposedly legal residences of the registered voters, this would be a first step in weeding out the fake addresses.

Further, each renewal of voter registration would contain information that providing false information to register someone who does not meet the criteria of a registered voter is a felony, punishable by jail time and/or substantial fines. This would eliminate the claim that “I didn’t know it was wrong” to register, or vote, if the person is not a citizen, or is a felon, etc.

While these steps would still leave some wiggle room for serious manipulators, I think they would week out a lot of those who registered for a pack of smokes, or—in the Dems’ case—a hit of crack. If the notices could not be forwarded, but everyone knew they were being sent out, then legitimate voters who had moved could go to their new precincts to register there. Oops—that’s already what we do.

And dump Motor Voter. Now. If you can’t haul your heinie down to register, then you can’t vote. Simple.

Voting is one of our most treasured rights and privileges, and to see it made meaningless by various levels of fraud and manipulation, without rousing the ire of EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN REGARDLESS OF PARTY AFFILIATION is mind-boggling.

Another area that MUST be corrected is absentee voting. I don’t have enough information to take an educated stand on the new trend to allow early voting, but clearly the concept of absentee voting has to be tweaked. Why allow it all if they are not opened? It seems that the reality of so-called absentee voting now is “If you’re not here, you don’t vote”.

So every absentee ballot HAS to be sent out in time to be returned properly. The fact that some people didn’t get theirs in time has been mentioned in passing, as a reason for the votes not being counted. I think that topic alone deserves a lot of attention. How about some accountability here? How can the person responsible for getting these ballots sent out be exonerated from any responsibility for corrupting the voting process? And then each ballot returned has to be opened, and each validly cast vote counted. It should not matter if a winner has been chosen in that state. It should not matter if the vote cannot possibly make a difference in the electoral college vote of that state. With the new attention to the popular vote, no vote should be discarded.

We need to count every single ballot that has been correctly executed to indicate, unambiguously, a vote. Read that again. We do not need to count every ballot, We cannot, MAY NOT, count any ballot that is ambiguous. But we must count every true VOTE—that is, every ballot which has been executed according to the rules, clearly, to indicate a vote, by a legally registered voter, submitted in accordance with the law.

For all the whining about “disenfranchisement” I don’t hear anyone complaining that I, an American citizen, duly registered, and competent enough to execute my ballot in a manner that transforms it into a valid vote, have probably been “disenfranchised” by either an illegal alien vote canceling mine out, or by one which was “interpreted” in a manner which cancelled mine out, in spite of showing to clear preference at all.

Instead of all the beating of breasts and tearful made-for-television dramas about being “disenfranchised” because a voter thought passing a traffic stop on the way to the voting booth was “intimidation” or any other such silly poppycock, how about paying attention to the people who really CAN vote, who really DID vote, who got cancelled out by fraud?

Oh, and if you can’t read a ballot and execute your vote correctly, then it is not my fault. Or anyone else’s.

Then we can start to address human error.

........................................

BTW, of the 2000 or so complaints registered with the Florida Election Commission after the 2000 election, only one was a complaint that a woman thought she had been denied the right to vote because she was black—or any other color. However, in a race-related note, several Haitians complained they could not vote because there were no translators there to read them the ballots. As was pointed out to me by a friend who plans to apply for citizenship, you have to be able to speak English to be naturalized. Her parents are studying English right now, in anticipation of their citizenship test. Why were these people complaining that the only thing keeping them from voting was a failure on the part of the state of Florida to provide translators? Shouldn’t it have been that they were not ELIGIBLE to vote because they were not citizens?

The GOP needs to present legislation very similar to what Almiranta has so eloquently espoused about the time Flipper craps his let-fraud-count election reform bill into congressional record.

Gun ballistic fingerprints

You've heard about that, right? It involves taking a round fired from a gun and keeping it on file so that any crimes committed with that gun can be tracked down.

Well, it doesn't work. Anyone familiar with firearms could tell you that. First of all, the marks left by the barrel change over time as the gun is fired. If you shoot quite a bit, it changes even faster. My gun has had well over 1000 rounds put through it since I got it, and if you were to compare a round from my first range session to a round from my last, the marks would be different. And that's just one example out of many.

And people are finally admitting it.

Thank god SOME people see the light.

I know how he feels

Dok Russia had that special kind of night that makes hospital employees the most cynical bastards on the face of the earth.

I generally do not mind people screwing their own lives up. It is still a free country (for the most part). If you want to destroy your liver with alcohol, and fry your nose and brain on coke, then I don't care. I really don't. At least I wouldn't if you would at least have the decency to pay for the resuscitation that is going to be required when your habit makes your heart lock up on your 27th birthday like an engine that you forgot to put oil into for the past twenty thousand miles. Still, I can generally laugh and point and make fun of the people who think that they are too special to get hooked on drugs, and then finds themselves giving blowjobs for a $5 chunk of rock.

But I am ready to start slitting throats when your bad habits condemn innocent kids to Fetal alcohol syndrome, prematurity, addiction in utero and all of those other things that set up another, innnocent human being for a very tough life before they even get a chance to draw their first gasp of air. I was standing there, looking at this disease-ridden, alcoholic cokehead, who refused to get sterilized, and wanted to take that pillow and smother her face with it. I know that as doctors we are suppossed to have some sort of superhuman patience and acceptance of our fellow man.

Sorry, but No. I do not have, nor do I want, the patience and acceptance to ever find something like that anything but revolting and disgusting. No. I will not ever, ever look at behavior like that and just let it pass with the whole "none of us are perfect"/ "we are all God's children"/ "who am I to judge?" platitudes, or any crap like that. There is a fucking world of difference between being flawed and fucking over your own children because you are too selfish to either get off the booze and drugs, or stop being a slut.

Anyway, I resisted the impulse to smash her face in with a defibrillator, and did my job.

Some people have asked me why I seem like such a heartless bastard. Folks, I have pity on those who truly need help. But when you screw over yourself, you're on your own. And these people don't just screw themselves, they screw EVERYBODY over with their actions.

And then they whine and bitch when they don't get their way for the hundredth time. Piss on 'em. I'd rather clean their corpses out of the street than pay for another antibiotic for their next STD.

Good one....

Coeur d'Alene

Home.

For some people, that word isn't really comforting, but for me it never fails to put a smile on my face. For the four years that I lived in Seattle, that city was never "home". The apartments and houses that I lived in were never "home". I never said "Let's head home", I said "Let's head back to the house".

Home was a forest covered hillside next to a city 300 miles away.

But now, I can say it. I'm home.

However, in typical fashion for me, I don't know how long I'll be here. The Army has several slots open for Active Guard and Reserve, and I've gotten my packet together to see if they'll accept me. If they do, there's a good chance that I'll be sent somewhere else for a while. But it's something I can accept if it helps me get my life on the track of my choosing. I'd say that I have about a 40% chance of getting accepted. Most the people who are applying at the same time as I am are higher ranking, and probably have much more experience in certain fields than I do. But, if you don't try then you'll never succeed, so I'm giving it a go. Should the AGR not accept me, then I'll continue in the Army reserve and finally go to the 91W school that I've signed up for five months ago. That'll be a Reserve Component school in California, so I might actually get to meet some of the people I've been reading for years now.

Most of my time will be consumed with job hunting and apartment searches, so don't expect to see me too much in the next few weeks. Once I have my internet connection set up at the house, then I'll be able to post much more frequently. Until then I'm dependent on the public library and other forms of public access. I have the phone numbers for my ISP's dial up in this area, but my laptop may decide that it doesn't want to play all nicely. We'll see what happens.

In any case, I hope everyone is doing well out where ever you are. Keep a stiff upper lip!

Tsunami of the Absurd

Um, yeah.

Last Monday, the Voice of America broadcast a story linking tsunamis and global warming. Naomi Oreskes, an associate professor of History at the University of California, said the tsunami that slammed the Asian and African coastlines underscores the need to take action on global warming.

The argument runs, many people live in the path of potential tsunamis. If global warming were to lift the sea level, coastal peoples would be more vulnerable to massive future inundations.

This was environmental demagoguery at its most vile. Riding your issue on the backs of 130,000 dead people goes beyond the pale, even for the global warming crowd.

I think it's going to be a Battle Royale because it is downright obvious that the Democrats stole the governor's mansion.

Cox and Forkum see it this way:

Six years, two major elections, and nothing has changed. It's clear that it is time for the FBI to visit the King County elections offices and take handwriting samples. There may be individuals working there who need to go to jail for a very long time. This is not a traditional Democrat "get out the vote" effort among street people, homeless migrants (who by definition don't live anywhere), and those spending their final days in hospices. Rather, it is deliberate fraud intended to undermine the legitimate votes of citizens and reverse the outcome of the will of the voters. It is beyond criminal because it strikes at the heart of the democratic system.

Guide for the Mexican Immigrant

Somethingawful.com has an uproariously funny photoshop parody of the migration handbook made by the Mexican government. Note: this link is borderline work safe and not for the easily offended!

Thursday, January 06, 2005

OK, This Is Frigging ENOUGH!

File this under "Let's finally get off our ass and bring the hammer down!"

LOS ANGELES — Mexican immigrants hoping to cross the Mexico-U.S. border can use an illustrated guide to help them break U.S. immigration laws and live in the United States illegally.

The 32-page booklet, free with popular comic books and advertised at bus stations and government offices south of the border, comes courtesy of the Mexican government.

The Mexican government is pretty much worthless, no matter how much people try to convince themselves otherwise. I should know. I was one of those people for a while. But after watching their actions for a decade or so, I learned that Mexico is pretty much a third-world country BECAUSE of it's government. And instead of trying to fix the problems in that country, the Mexican government pretty much wants to shuffle their poverty-stricken citizens across the border.

The book's main focus seems to be instructing people on how to cross the border safely. For example, it warns Mexicans that when crossing the border, "thick clothing increases your weight when wet and makes it difficult to swim or float" and "if you cross in the desert, try to walk when the heat is not as intense."

Gee, isn't it nice when a government gives out pamphlets to it's citizens instructing them how to survive while breaking the law? Nothing like live, healthy criminals to make your day go smoothly!

"At end of the day, this is about the survival of individuals who we know unfortunately are perishing in desert," said Angelica Salas of the Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights

Stop. Full stop.

The Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights?

Let's make this very, very clear for anyone out there who might have a question or two. You do NOT have the right to immigrate to this country! THERE ARE NO IMMIGRATION RIGHTS! We can kick you out if we have just cause, we can prevent you from entering this country, we can prevent you from gaining citizenship. If you are hear illegally, YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS!

It's the Constitution of the UNITED STATES, not the world. In order to have rights guaranteed by it, you must first be a US citizen. Plain and simple. But there's more to this pamphlet than just survival tactics!

The guide also gives advice on how to live unobtrusively in the United States, advising illegals not to beat their wives or go to loud parties because either action may attract the attention of police.

Oh, isn't that lovely? If you don't beat your wife, then the cops won't notice you! Of course, the fact that you can't get a legal job may just hinder you a bit, but not much.

While some studies claim illegal immigrants help the U.S. economy by providing cheap labor, others complain they cost taxpayers billions in welfare and education costs. Good or bad, they are breaking U.S. law, and the Mexican government seems to be helping them.

Cheap labor? Maybe in a few select industries, but not nationwide. And the cost they put on society blasts away any good they might do with their cheap labor. There's a reason why Arizona voted in Proposition 200 in the last election. For those who don't know, Prop. 200 would bar non-citizens from recieving public services that are not federally mandated. So, you could walk into an emergency room, but non-emergency healthcare would be barred. Welfare would be barred. In short, the things guaranteed to a US Citizen would be unavailable to non-citizens. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE! But the Democrats are going nuts over it, and have taken it to court to try to get it overturned. The judge presiding over the case properly tossed it in the circular file.

Think about that for just a second. The people of Arizona said what they wanted. They voted for this proposition, and the Democrats TOOK IT TOO COURT! Can you think of a more egotistical, overbearing, arrogant way to do business? "Oh, we know what you said, and now we're going to do what WE want to do."

More sins to toss on the Democrats ever growing list.

Anyway, to get back on target - Shut the border down. Do it now. Halt all immigration that isn't tightly monitored, and by that I mean we make sure they are who they say they are. We ensure that criminals aren't walking into America every place there's a hole in the fence. Because Mexico seems to be doing everything it can in order to push their people into our country.

It needs to stop.

If President Bush goes through with his "amnesty" plan, the Republicans will be out of power again, because there is no amount of political ass-kissing that could make the Republican base forgive Bush, or their party for letting it happen. Michelle Malkin has been making the case for closing our borders, and doing a damn fine job of it. We need to shut down the illegal immigration right frigging now, before our immigration laws become even more of a joke than they already are.

Mexico doesn't take them seriously. That needs to change.

Total destruction in one click

Holy Jesus.

The Seattle Virus

There's gotta be one, because every time I leave Seattle and then come back, I end up getting sick. I don't know if it's just the stress of returning to this hell hole, or if there actually is a virus around here that attacks me every time I return.

Blah.

In any case, my recent absence has been due to me being laid up yet again by some damn virus. I'm not 100% healthy as of yet, but I'm doing much better. A note of more cheer - I'll be out of here within a week. I'm going to my drill this weekend, and I won't be coming back here. The wife will be joining me at the end of January, when I'll hopefully have a house ready for her to walk in to. Coeur d'Alene, here we come!

By the way, did ya hear about the dumb-ass police chief who broke several cardinal rules of responsible gun ownership? Yep, this Darwin runner-up left his personal weapon (a Glock 26 9mm)in a city-issued unmarked Ford Crown Victoria in Downtown Seattle for several hours the day after Christmas. When he returned.... OOOPS! No gun! Ah, the joys of living in Seattle, where Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske provides just the example of why I'm getting the hell out. And from what I heard on the news last night, there was no evidence of a forced entry into the car.

That means that the idiot left the damn thing unlocked. With a loaded weapon inside.

The only bright note is that since it was his personal weapon, not his issue piece, the city won't have to spend my tax dollars on buying him a new gun. And I'll be laughing at this mudpit of a town as I drive away from it. GOOD BYE, SEATTLE! I knew ye too well.

Anywho, I'm going to surf around a bit and try to get caught up on the news. Hopefull I'll post more today.

Action Vs. Talk In Indonesia

I was pondering today about how individuals are motivated to action by different flavors of stimuli (I have some problem employees). I mention it here because I rarely find myself getting all agitated and ready to do battle based upon the things that American Leftists do. I don't feel like writing letters to the editor when I read about gun grabbing. Bans on Jesus songs in elementary schools don't move me to attend school board meetings. I just chuckle when i read about wind turbines.

The one thing that moves me to want to bleach the Liberal Stain on America is when the America they hate does good.

The US military has arrived and is clearly establishing its presence everywhere in Banda Aceh. They completely have taken over the military hospital, which was a mess until yesterday but is now completely up and running. They brought big stocks of medicines, materials for the operation room, teams of doctors, water and food. Most of the patients who were lying in the hospital untreated for a week have undergone medical treatment by the US teams by this afternoon. US military have unloaded lots of heavy vehicles and organize the logistics with Indonesian military near the airport. A big camp is being set up at a major square in the town. Huge generators are ready to provide electricity. US helicopters fly to places which haven't been reached for the whole week and drop food. The impression it makes on the people is also highly positive; finally something happens in the city of Banda Aceh and finally it seems some people are in control and are doing something.
The United States of America is the greatest invention in the history of mankind.

Power Line: Action Vs. Talk In Indonesia

If this weren't so pathetic, I'd be ROFLMAO. Turkeygate, in essence.

"You can imagine how we feel," Fernandes said. "They didn't pay anything. This was donations to them to help the needy. We get calls from different representatives who want to put together food baskets for their needy constituents and you have faith that these people are going to bring the food to the people it's intended to go to."

A Conyers staff member who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal told the Free Press that Grubbs and her cousin, Conyers' Detroit deputy chief of staff Marion Brown, along with a former Conyers aide, DeWayne Boyd, picked up the turkeys and later gave contradictory accounts of what happened to the birds.
This is one to stay tuned to.

Mark Steyn, who should appear here more often, lays a serious smackdown on the goofs at the UN and their sycophantic Eurolapdogs.

Jan Egeland, that Norwegian bloke who is the U.N. humanitarian honcho, got the ball rolling with a few general remarks about big countries' "stinginess." He particularly thinks U.S. tax rates too low. Got that? Those tightwad Yanks aren't doing enough.

But whoa, hang on. It turns out those pushy Yanks are doing way too much, at least according to Clare Short, formerly Britain's international development secretary (until she stormed out of Tony Blair's Cabinet to protest the Iraq war). President Bush roused her ire by announcing Washington would coordinate its disaster relief with Australia, India and Japan. To Miss Short that had a whiff of another "coalition of the willing." "I think this initiative from America to set up four countries claiming to coordinate sounds like yet another attempt to undermine the U.N.," she told the BBC. "Only really the U.N. can do that job. It is the only body that has the moral authority."
It can be confusing sometimes, can't it?

Hegemonic, Demonic Americans

Well now it seems the French see an ulterior motive in US aid to tsunami victims.

The Left were upset that President Bush didn't act quickly enough following the disaster. One need not have a vivid and wild imagination to posit that had he acted quickly, the Left would have started talking about "Bush Knew!" and digging into their rancid archives for stories about transIndonesian oil pipelines worked on by Poppy and Conoco.

Good Stuff at Dissecting Leftism

These caught my eye:

A good comment from a reader: "If the rainfall on Los Angeles these past few days had landed on a third world country, thousands would have died and hundreds of thousands would have been homeless - and the same rains ten years later would have had the same results. A government that does not advance its people is unworthy of respect. Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he depletes your fisheries. Teach him to be a capitalist and he will sell you the fish".

Another interesting email just in: "A radio station in Sydney took the initiative and recruited celebrities to bolster support for the appeal to people to open up their wallets for the tsunami disaster. The "host" was Johnny Young, formerly of the "Young Talent Time" program. To everyone's surprise, he started raving and ranting about America and Iraq -- stating that all the money spent by America in arming itself in Iraq should be spent on the disaster. If America had started the war, you could understand some ill will. But that rich Arabs and some Leftoid psychopaths in other governments, supply billions of dollars to fund terrorists and arm them to the teeth to kill Israelis and Americans for the sake of killing was not mentioned. There was no suggestion that the Muslims ought to disband their idea and donate THEIR money to the appeal. Mr Young and his ilk obviously support genocide and not the people trying to end it."
Disasters involving water sure are common in that region.

A little trivia

So AK was listening to some Leftie Radio here in Seattle, and the local talk show host was up in arms about the fact that the USA was sending the USS Abraham Lincoln to assist in recovery and aid.

She didn't like the fact that we were sending a war machine there. In the mind of the typical Seattle Lefist, the military is the anti-christ reborn.

But here's a bit of information that our moonbat Seattlites seem to have forgotten. A Nimitz class aircraft carrier can produce 400,000 gallons of fresh water a day.

That's 16,667 gallons per hour. 99.99999% of which can go to the people on shore who need it. But if the leftists had their way, none of that would happen. After all, we're sending water purification ships, why do we need a carrier group to go as well?

Well, here's a bit of trivia that my brother in law (US Navy guy) informed me of. In addition to the water purification that a carrier can do, the standard Nimitz class carrier has the capacity to generate enough electricity for a small city. It can tie up to a dock, hook up some power cables and send a whole lotta juice to shore.

Lemme give you an idea. Imagine a battery the size of South Dakota.

Yeah.

My unit is a combat support hospital, and it has two 100 KW generators to run the entire thing. OR, Decon, all the beds, all the equipment, all of it. And a hospital pulls a TON of juice. But compared to an aircraft carrier, we're small potatoes.

All in all, a carrier group with several water purification ships can power an entire city, and supply enough fresh water for everyone in it. There are also the food producing capabilities, the mechanic shops, the metal fabrication capabilities, and so much more. A carrier is a small city floating on water, with the supplies and support functions that need to go with it. All of which can be used to help the people in tsunami devastated lands.

The next time some Leftie throws a temper tantrum about the US sending a carrier group, shut them down with the truth. Again.

I'm not the only one

Shooting Blanks

Hmmm.

The academy, however, should believe its own findings. Based on 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications, a survey that covered 80 different gun-control measures and some of its own empirical work, the panel couldn't identify a single gun-control regulation that reduced violent crime, suicide or accidents.
Intriguing.

The Still Growing Left

Kim du Toit is pointing people to Kevin Baker's question of the day.

If it is so blindingly obvious to many of us that the ideologies behind, for example, gun control and welfare are so fundamentally flawed, why are these ideologies not dead? Not only are they not dead, in many ways, still flourishing? Why is the demonstrably erroneous ideology of the Left still advanced by people who just want to keep turning up the power, with the resultant escalation of failure?

Both Kim and Kevin have answers to that question, and I agree with both of them. But there's another facet that I think both of them missed, or perhaps just didn't think was important enough to mention. I think it's rather important, and needs to be realized.

One reason that the Left continues to spread it's failure-bound ideology is that the people spreading it, by and large, have insulated themselves from the negative ramifications of their decisions.

How many business owners do you see trying to spread the socialist propaganda of the Left? Not too many. Most business owners understand that socialism and communism spell failure for anyone trying to run a business. These owners deal with the effects of their business decisions on a daily basis, and if they screw up, they are the ones who have to deal with the consequences. The same goes for people just working full time and trying to run a household, or raise children. Their decisions and the results of them are felt almost immediately, and must be dealt with by the people responsible.

When's the last time some communist college professor had to deal with the consequences of his actions? Why do you think that universities are so full of bullshit laden socialist fuckwits? Because it doesn't matter what some braindead hippie holdover says or does, his paycheck keeps on coming. He can spout off all the communist propaganda he wants to, and at the end of the day he still gets to go to his taxpayer dollar furnished home. The consequences of his actions are felt by someone else. The failure of the communist ideology will be felt by the poor people who have to suffer under it. While the idiots and morons keep spouting off anti-capitalist blather, they are not the ones who have to deal with the end results of it all.

Like many conservatives, I was pretty liberal when I was younger. That seems to be a common theme these days. When you're young, you have many if not most of your needs taken care of by someone else. Parents, relatives, whoever. Most of us didn't have to worry about IF we were going to have dinner, we were worried about what we were having. For some people, the biggest problem they had in highschool was that their parents didn't buy them a car. Your basic needs were taken care of by someone else.

And then, you graduated. Some of you went to college, some of you went into the military, some of you went to a forty-hour a week job. And all of a sudden, those basic needs, which up to this point had been taken care of, were YOURS to deal with.

You want to stay out all night and party? Fine and dandy, you're an adult, but when the rent comes due and you spent all your cash on booze, what are you going to do? Wanna buy that new stereo? Find and dandy, but what are you going to have for dinner when that thousand dollar piece of equipment is sitting in your living room? I guarantee that many of the people reading this have spent more than a few days living on coffee and Top Ramen. I know that I did. Two bucks for a case of Ramen noodles at the local supermarket. If I had just gotten paid, then I could afford chicken leg quarters ($0.48 a pound!). Mowing lawns, shoveling sidewalks, washing cars or houses, all on my days off, just so that I could make a few extra bucks. If I screwed up, then I had to deal with it. I had to fix it. I couldn't afford some pie-in-the-sky pipe dream that was ultimately doomed to failure. And most of the conservatives today dealt with many of the same issues, if not the same cases that I did.

Compare that to the Left today, which has built up a system that ultimately protects those who continue to make poor decision after poor decision. These are the people who live on other people's largesse. The ones who live on the government's dime, or who make a living by sucking wealth and good fortune from other people. Their actions and their decisions have almost no effect on their paychecks. When is the last time you saw a federal worker get fired? Teachers and professors, once entrenched, almost take an Act of God to remove, even if they're the worst teacher you've ever seen. Trust me, I tried. I had to deal with some of them. I wrote some time ago about two teachers getting caught screwing each other in the school gym, and all they received was a suspension. Og at Neanderpundit had a niece who witnessed these two "teachers" in the act, and despite Og's assurances that the two teachers are being taken to task, I note that they are still employed by the school district.

If I had been found screwing a nurse at the hospital I worked at, while both of us were on the clock, we would have been fired right there on the spot. These two "teachers" are still employed. They do not have to face the consequences of their actions. And I'm willing to bet my entire back account that both of them voted Democrat in the last election.

The Left's ideology is continually spread by those who do not have to face the consequences of their actions or words.

So that's my rather long winded take on it all. Anyone else want to offer up a suggestion or two?

Mama-Farging Cork-Suckers

Analog Kid has been keeping tabs on the election debacle here in Washington state. He's up to number twelve, and it looks like the good guys lost this one. With the fraud, corruption, and outright thievery of the Democrats who hold power in the Seattle area, there's no way that Dino Rossi can continue to fight without looking increasingly bad.

However, I'm going to follow Analog Kid's lead.

I hate to say this, but I am of the mind now that the Repubs will never get this fight started in time and that Rossi should conceed so as to leave an image in the state's citizens that he is not a crybaby.

Then, the Repubs can do their investigation without the hinderence of the press demanding to look over their shoulder. When they find provable evidence of election fraud in King County, they can put out to the public and begin to gather signatures for a recall.

Until then, I am content to call Gregoire my 'Selected, Not Elected' Governor.

"Selected, not elected"! Let's finally use that phrase where it belongs! And trust me, should the Republicans take AK's advice, they WILL find evidence of election fraud.

Hell, bloggers have already found it. It shouldn't take too long for a politician to stumble across it.

Vote Fraud? You bet!

I rant about vote fraud - Other people prove it.

Pull on Superman's Cape has two posts about it, with photo evidence.

Sound Politics has commentary on it as well.

My two cents? The thieving, lying, cheating, swindling, corrupt, worthless, goatfucking shitwads known as Democrats will get away with it. They're in power in the Pugetropolis, and they'll do anything they can to get away with their crimes.

Emailed to me by this wonderful woman.

By the way....

When I refer to Washington State as a liberal-ridden shithole of communist overlord-wannabes and the suffering conservatives who have to deal with them, I'm not joking.

The Washington Supreme Court has ruled that parents no longer have the right to eavesdrop on their children’s phone conversations — establishing a personal right-to-privacy for minors. The decision overturned a purse-snatching robbery conviction, which hinged largely upon information obtained when a mother eavesdropped on her 14-year-old daughter’s conversation with the now “alleged” thief.

Not surprisingly, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), an organization that has previously advocated for lowering the sexual age of consent to thirteen, filed a friend-of-the-court brief in support of establishing privacy rights for minors.

So parents can't be parents anymore, basically. Thanks, Lefties! Is there any other fascet of life that you haven't tried to fuck up beyond all belief? Is there anything that you won't try to corrupt? Is there perhaps one snippet of life that has been untouched by the foul corruption of the Left? Let's hope so.

What a clusterfuck. This state is pretty much ruled by the Pugetropolis, and everyone else suffers while the insane, mentally retarded Left monkeys around and flings shit everywhere.

And the ACLU, why the hell hasn't it just come out and admitted that it's part and parcel of the Democrats? Why the joke of a pretense that they're unbiased? They stick up for NAMBLA, for g-d's sake! Yeah, they're perfectly fine with grown men trying to fuck a young boy up the ass (That's called RAPE, folks!) but when a parent tries to actually PARENT their kids, the ACLU is against it. What a goatscrew. Which, as it happens, is yet another thing the ACLU would be in favor of. Just as long as it wasn't conservative.

A light hearted post

Because I can't stand the thought of nothing but doom and gloom over the holidays.

How many of these have you tried?

I haven't had reindeer or guinea pig, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I always try to sample something I haven't had before. I ate jellyfish when I was in Korea, and I'll try just about anything once. And if it goes well with whiskey, I'll try it twice.

Helping the Asians

Lee at Right Thinking has the skinny. I made note of this post because earlier this day I was reading posters at Democratic Underpants deriding the $100,000 number, like that's all "Bush" was going to send.

Which reminds me...

...of a time when I worked in an office building that was shared by two brothers, one was CEO of a software development firm, the other a computer distributor. The latter occupied only a small part of the office space but, of course, used the warehouse space in the back to their advantage. There was just one problem: the place was a mess.

Nay, a disgrace. We all used to joke about it.

Then the company hired this thirty-something fellow straight out of the Army. Dude had been a Quartermaster.

Three days later, a guy I worked with dragged me out back to the warehouse. The place had been totally transformed - everything in its bin, a bin for everything, and one could have dined off the floor. My coworker (he was Army PsyOps) looked at me and said:

"You know what this is called, man?

"No," I said.

"Two words," he replied. "Squared away."

We were out back catching a smoke the first time thereafter a big shipment arrived from Compaq. The driver of the truck got out of his cab, walked up the ramp with his delivery paperwork, looked around and whistled, then marveled: "What the hell happened here?"

Squared away.

It's been part of my personal lexicon ever since.

Training completed

At least this part of it, anyways. I still have at least one more school to go to, and if I can swing it I'll be going to quite a few more. However, I am now a Quartermaster.

That's supply, for those who don't know.

Certainly not the most glamourous job, but damn important. Patton found that out when he was trying to reach Berlin in '44. Soldiers win skirmishes. Generals win battles. Logistics wins wars. The best training, the best equipment, the best soldiers and leaders can't do anything if they don't have people bringing them beans and bullets.

So that's my new job, at least for the next few months. The 91W training is possibly on hold, due to there being an over abundance of them in the Army at this time. From what I've been able to figure out, all the people slated for 91W are being transfered to different jobs if possible. Meh. I really wanted to be a medic, but if I have to remain supply, so be it. If that turns out to be the case, then I'm going to push for another school. Airborn, if possible. Air Assault, perhaps. Right now I'm just playing it by ear and seeing what pops up. If I can still get tghe 91W school, great.

I spent Christmas with my wife and parents at their house in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Not a very large affair, but good family and more great food than you could shake a stick at. Man, I love my mom's cooking. I sang at Midnight Mass with the church choir, and then came home to presents and whiskey.

Life right now is good.

However, I get the nagging feeling that I shouldn't have returned to the Seattle area at all. The Democrats have managed to cheat and steal their way into the govenor's mansion. The state Republicans will be filing a lawsuit, but I don't expect much to come out of it. This is Washington State, after all.

I also see that Southeast Asia has suffered a natural disaster. My heart goes out to all those people. The USA should be sending help as soon as possible.

In any case, it won't take me long to get riled up by something from Seattle. I'll post more when I actually have something to rant about.

See you all soon!
