So, we sent the laptop back to HP a few days ago. Got an email listing a few things that had to be corrected - more hardware problems. Not that I was too surprised. When I got it back last time, and still had issues with it despite taking all of your suggestions and applying them, I knew it wasn't just software that was causing the problems.
End result? More stuff getting replaced. Yay. Don't know when I'll get it back.
