This is the sound of blubbery horse shit

The problem isn't with society, the problem is that this fat cow cannot put the fork down.

“We should be critical of the use of science and the production of knowledge to continue promoting this idea that certain bodies are fit, able, and desirable...is it my fatness that causes my high blood pressure, or is it my experience of weight stigma?" Rashatwar asked. She then connected the science suggesting that obesity is unhealthy to Nazism, saying that "fatphobic" science is “often actually eugenic science....eugenic science is Nazi science.”

There's a photo of this grossly obese woman at the link, so you can just take a gander if you wish.  She's giving a speech titled "Radical Fat Liberation".  Yes, it's as stupid as it sounds.

Look folks, I'm not a skinny man.  When I was riding my bike to town and back every day, I was a skinny kid, but that was decades ago and my life has changed somewhat.  I fight the urge to eat unhealthy food on a daily basis.  I make sure I don't gorge myself.  I watch what I eat and exercise as much as I can, given my job and my physical problems.  So what I'm saying is that I am not some guy blessed with a metabolism that burns up the calories, I have to work at it.  I know it's work.  I know it's not the easiest thing in the world.  But if you don't want to be a disgusting blob of blubber wiggling and jiggling around your life, then PUT THE FUCKING FORK DOWN.

Do you know what you CANNOT do?  You cannot force me to say or think that your grossly obese body is sexy.  Or appealing.  Or healthy.  Because it's not.

Body positivity is a crock of shit.  You're not "healthy at any size", that's a complete lie.  There are sizes that are healthy, and then there are sizes where you have to hire out the local pro football team to carry your casket after you've died an early death due to your bloated body being unable to maintain itself.

Of course, she gave this speech at a university.  Where else can you peddle absolute bullshit and have it accepted without fail?

Pack, pack, pack it up

The truth is refreshing

And I'm glad someone is saying this:

Pete, rather than accepting responsibility for willingly living a homosexual lifestyle, tried to blame his sexual choice on God.  He said to Pence, "Your quarrel is with my Creator."  No, it is not the Creator's fault, because Christ said in Matthew 19:4–5, "Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"  Obviously, Pete chose not to obey his Creator's command and plan for the human race.  The mayor has that legal right, but it is folly for him to suggest that his lifestyle choice is moral or to suggest that it is wrong for decent people to question his wisdom or to even bring up the issue.

Pete Buttigieg desperately needs Mike Pence to be enemy #1, because if he's not, then Pete Buttigieg is just another failing Democrat mayor of a sinking city.

Growing Up Straight, a book recommended by the National Institute of Mental Health, reveals that "[s]cientific consensus holds that homosexuality is very largely conditioned by the environment and childhood and most particularly by parental influence in the home."  No gay gene, so no excuse.
Two researchers, Bearrman and Bruckner, in the March 2002 American Journal of Sociology, concluded, "[O]ur results support the hypothesis that less gendered socialization in early childhood and preadolescence shapes subsequent same-sex romantic preferences."  The Yale-Columbia professors are saying DNA does not determine same-sex preferences.  It is life experience that shapes sexual preferences.  No one is born gay.  No one.

There is no gay gene.  Nobody is born gay.  And is it any shock that when homosexuality is encouraged in a society, while traditional families are discouraged, that there will be a rise in homosexuality?  Let me close out with this quote from the article, because like I said, the truth is refreshing:

"I'm a Christian.  I don't agree with homosexuality.  I think it's a sin, as I think all sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is.  If you're openly living in unrepentant sin ... that's walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ."

Do I think homosexual acts are a sin?  Yes.  Do I think cheating on your wife is a sin?  Yes.  Both are legal.  There's no judicial punishment for adultery, is there?  And yet, legal and moral are not the same.

Pete Buttigieg is in the national news because he's a gay man running for president, and the Democrat Media Complex is masturbating furiously about the possibility of being able to scream "HOMOPHOBIA!" even louder on the national stage.  But what has he done that's noteworthy?  He's the mayor of a city, right?  He's got a performance record.  What, exactly, has he done?

Not much.  He's just another Democrat, running a failing city.  Bravo.

Don't slow down

If you slow down, you lose.

It's that time again

The movers show up way too early.

I'm getting a little tired of moving so often.  I know it's all part of the Army life, but I think my Army life will be coming to a close rather soon.  Looking at all the times I've moved in the past decade..  2008, 2012, 2016 (a pretty good string of four year tours) then 2017 and 2019 back to back.

Time to retire, and let some young buck step up.  Ah well.  One more station, and then I can hang it up.

Just.... Mississippi

So I'm sitting out on the porch, finishing up my cigar, when I hear a vehicle approaching.  It's loud.  Like, a dozen washing machines falling down a flight of stairs loud.  And it crests the hill about 100 yards away from my house, and the noise gets exponentially louder.

And then it comes into view, or at least as much view as can be seen at night in the rural areas around here.  It's a truck, pulling a trailer.  Or dragging a trailer, as the case may be.  I don't know if there were just flat tires making the rear of the trailer drag, or if some part of the trailer had come unscrewed and was dragging.  But there were sparks flying from the entire rear end of the trailer as the truck dragged it along the pavement.  And again, it was loud, like one continuous car wreck in progress.

Before I could really comprehend what I was seeing, it took the curve and disappeared from view, but the racket went on for a good thirty seconds more as it crested another hill and dipped out of auditory range.

Things happen in Mississippi that the Mrs. and I normally don't talk about to our friends and families, because they don't believe half of what we describe.  You have to live here to really comprehend what it's like.

Oh, and I've also been told that anyone who lives north of I-10 is a damn Yankee.  I asked if it were possible, since the state I claim as residence was founded after the Civil War AND is on the other side of the country, that I escape Yankee status.  All I got was a one-eyed glare, and a lot of muttering about foolishness and nonsense.  But they did like the bread pudding the Mrs. made, so there's that.

He is risen!

He is truly risen!

Oh crap

Want to see people die en masse?

A public health official in Laredo, Texas, said 20 Congolese migrants are being monitored for Ebola in shelters in his city and across the Mexican border in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
Shortly after his announcement during a Laredo City Council meeting, the World Health Organization (WHO) considered declaring a “global emergency” in response to a massive outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

You want to know how bad an ebola outbreak in American could be?  Go read this guy's take on it.  Ebola is scary shit, and if we allow it into this country because of our wide open borders, we won't have to worry about a civil war.  Huge chunks of cities will die.  Just...  die.  Horribly.

This ain't happy news.

Holy Saturday

We wait...

Diversity + Proximity = War

That's why E Pluribus Unum was so damned important, and it's why the Left is going to burn in hell for all eternity for destroying it.

For history's rare multiracial and multiethnic republics, an "e pluribus unum" cohesion is essential. Each particular tribe must owe greater allegiance to the commonwealth than to those who superficially look or worship alike.
Yet over the last 20 years we have deprecated "unity" and championed "diversity." Americans are being urged by popular culture, universities, schools and government to emphasize their innate differences rather than their common similarities.
Sometimes the strained effort turns comical. Some hyphenate or add accents or foreign pronunciations to their names. Others fabricate phony ethnic pedigrees in hopes of gaining an edge in job-seeking or admissions.
The common theme is to be anything other than just normal Americans for whom race, gender and ethnicity are incidental rather than essential to their character.

Identity politics will be just one of the many knives that stab this country to death.  I don't see any way of turning the clock back on this one; we already have people entrenched in the belief that their skin color or country of origin are more important than being American.  Anyone who puts a nation and a hyphen in front of "American" is proudly proclaiming that they are not American.  And if they're not American, they don't share the same values that Americans share, that have allowed us to live in close proximity with each other for the past 242 years.

Why Illegal Aliens are ready-made Democrats

Scary shit, amigo.

It's not that its people are poorly educated, though that's a major issue, actually.  It's that a good look at that system shows that pretty much the only education they receive at all is Marxist indoctrination.  Combine that with sub-literacy, and the people who are the products of this system are as malleable as clay in the hands of leftist demagogues.
How very convenient for the leftist political parties there that produce such people.  And how even more convenient for Democrats up north, waiting to welcome them as they flee.

Please go read just what kind of Marxist shitholes the schools in Central America are, and then realize that the Left in America wants the very same thing for this country.

During a recent teachers strike in this Zapotec Indian town in the poor southern state of Oaxaca, parents who brought in replacement instructors discovered that the children hadn't been taught the words to Mexico's national anthem.  Instead, they had been trained to sing a popular leftist song which acts as an unofficial anthem to a local chapter of the teachers union.
"We don't know the words to the Mexican anthem," said Leticia Diego, a student, apologizing to a visitor one recent morning.  About a dozen seventh-graders then shyly sang the leftist anthem, "The People United Will Never Be Defeated."

Public Education is a scourge on this earth, a disease that infects whole societies and destroys them from within.

Ghosts of Mississippi

For the past week or so, I've been waking up at 0300.  Just destroying my REM sleep.  Don't know why.  Can't figure it out.  But it's playing hell on my workout schedule, when I can't drag myself out of bed in the morning.

Yep

This is why I don't give a shit about your college degree

Also, we are so screwed....

A free Republic requires moral, educated people to sustain it.  We do not have moral or educated people coming from our colleges and universities.

This is deliberate.  The Left, which controls academia, do not want educated, moral people.  They want amoral, easily controlled drones, and that's what they produce.

Deeds, not words

Why do I call the Left in America anti-American?  Because they show it through their actions.

Is there a classier lady anywhere than Shannon Slutman, widow of FDNY firefighter Christopher Slutman — killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistanwhile serving as a US Marine Corps reservist?
No, there is not.
Meanwhile, is there a bigger dope than Assemblywoman Deborah Glick, the pandering jerk from Greenwich Village who was hard-pressed to find a few bucks to help send Gold Star kids to college — while lavishing millions on scholarships for the offspring of New York’s legion of illegal, um, arrivers?
Alas, probably.

My parents were big on telling us that in order to find out what people are like, watch what they do when they think nobody is looking.  My mom was fond of saying that the real person comes through when they're driving or playing sports.  In today's age, you have to look at what they say when they think that only their allies are listening.

Or blathering to their friends on twitter.

The Left in America hates America.  They hate our freedom, they hate our individualism, they hate our Western Civilization, they hate our Christian religion.  THEY HATE US.  THEY HATE YOU.

Vote accordingly.  But more importantly, buy ammo.  Buy guns.  Because this country will not live forever, and the rule of law doesn't matter to the Left.  They WILL come for you, sooner or later.  They always do, once they gain power.  And the GOP is so weak and spineless that they won't stand in the way of the Left once the Left gains power once again.

I would be willing to bet that the Notre Dame fire wasn't an accident.

Because it's not the first church fire of the year.  Or the month.  Or even the week.

A dozen Catholic churches have been desecrated across France over the period of one week in an egregious case of anti-Christian vandalism.
The recent spate of church profanations has puzzled both police and ecclesiastical leaders, who have mostly remained silent as the violations have spread up and down France.
Last Sunday, marauders set fire to the church of Saint-Sulpice — one of Paris’ largest and most important churches — shortly after the twelve-o’clock Mass.

France has imported millions of muslims over the past couple of decades, and surprising nobody with a brain, they've refused to assimilate.  Part of that is because European countries don't assimilate people into their nation very well at all, and part of it is because Islam is a backwards, 7th-century death cult who have spent centuries inbreeding their IQ down to retardation levels.

But we've had islamic sub-humans murdering priests, attacking Jews and vandalizing churches and jewish temples for years now.  We've had churches desecrated all over France.  We have Jews leaving France for fear of their lives.  We've had musloids rioting and burning cars in Paris on an annual basis.

Do I have any proof that the Notre Dame fire was caused by musloids committing arson?  No, I don't.  But I wouldn't put it past them.  This is the same religion that blew up thousand-year-old carvings of Buddha in the name of their religion.  They've destroyed churches and Christian cemeteries all over the Middle East.  Does anyone think that they wouldn't burn down one of the most iconic cathedrals if they had a chance?

You know they would.  Everybody knows they would.

I personally do not believe that the Notre Dame fire was an accident.  And I certainly am not alone in this.  YMMV.

Notre Dame is burning

It saddens my heart.

It's also a good metaphor for the Catholic Church in Europe.  Irreplaceable treasures going up in smoke.

Got a day at home today

That's what happens when an oak tree that's four feet across comes down on your building, knocking a hole in the roof, tearing a gash down the side of the building, and knocking out power.

Also - the work computer doesn't like civilian networks very much.  Go figure.

Tornado hit close to home

Luckily, all it took was the roof off of a store.

We didn't even lose power.  Thank you, linesmen!

Ho-Lee-Crap Thunderstorms

We got a gully-washer kicking off right now.  I wonder if it'll keep the pollen down for a bit.

When I say "gully-washer", I mean the drainage ditch in front of our house, which is about 18 inches by 30 inches, is full, and more is coming in.  That ought to be interesting tomorrow morning, checking to see what roadways have been moved a tad.
