Dude?

Pretty please let this be true!

Now this interesting little movement, as reported by the AP: Utah Governor Gary Herbert on Saturday authorized the use ofeminent domain to take some of the U.S. government’s most valuable parcels.
Yes, LBers, you’ve read that correctly: a state has invoked eminent domain in order to take back land from the feds.

Oh, please oh please oh please....  Anything to beat the Feds back one little step needs to be cheered and applauded and supported.

Quote of the day

Pulled from the comments of this post over at Og's place.

The epitaph for the U.S. involvement in Indochina had been given earlier that month before the fall of Phnom Penh in neighboring Cambodia. Just days before his execution at the hands of the Khmer Rouge, Cambodian statesman Sirak Mitak penned a final note to the U.S. ambassador refusing his offer of evacuation.
‘I cannot, alas, leave in such a cowardly fashion. As for you and in particular for your great country, I never believed for a moment that you would have this sentiment of abandoning a people which has chosen liberty….You leave and my wish is that you and your country will find happiness under the sky.
‘But mark it well that, if I shall die here on the spot and in my country that I love, it is too bad because we all are born and must die one day. I have only committed this mistake in believing in you, the Americans.’

My question is this - when are we going to be forced to hear that from an Iraqi or Afghani thanks to the Marxist Messiah?

Gah. Busy.

The Army is implementing a new logistics and money system.  We're on wave two or three, and it's my command's turn to have fun.  So I'm off to go sit in a classroom all day.

Just like yesterday.  Only today, I have to show up even earlier.  Bleah!  So I'll leave you with one of the modern leaders of conservative thought, Thomas Sowell.  Enjoy!

Men Without Chests

With all this talk about Obama, it brought to mind a quote from C.S. Lewis, and I just spend twenty minutes trying to find it - It's from a book/speech he gave titled "The Abolition of Man".  And the quote at the very end of Chapter 1 is:

"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful."

Doesn't that sum up the America who voted for Obama?

Just Great

What President Bush fought and won, Obama will lose.

Three murderous suicide bombings in Baghdad over the weekend are but the latest indication of the renewed reality there: Those determined to use violence to destabilize the country, foment sectarian strife and shape Iraq's destiny can do so with impunity. ...
There is an unmistakable vacuum of power being created by President Obama's determination to withdraw U.S. "combat" forces no matter what, starting with the cities a few months ago and in short order from the rest of the country.

I know a lot of people who will be happy that we're leaving.  Hell, I know a lot of Soldiers who will be happy that we're leaving, and couldn't care less about what happens when we leave.  But if we leave in this fashion, and Iraq collapses, we will be back in Iraq within a decade, and the cost in money and blood to redo our efforts in Iraq will make what we have currently spent look like spare change.  Of course, that will have to be paid by someone else other than the Marxist Messiah, so he really doesn't care.  In fact, he really doesn't care about any of our allies, and it shows.

Look for a massive outbreak of war in the Middle East sometime soon.  With Obama's complete and total lack of foreign policy (unless you count ignorance, apathy and stupidity as policy) it won't be long before the usual suspects start hitting harder and harder.  They know they won't get a response from Obama, and they're free to act with impunity.

That ain't good.

UPDATE:  Yup.  I was having a discussion with some of my fellow Soldiers, and the consensus is that Obama is the first American president who actually thinks that America is the problem with the world.  And it shows.

I want to find every idiotic asshole who made him the Commander in Chief, and beat them with lead pipes.

Legal Insurrection has a more thought out take on it than the link up above:

Sheer lunacy. What doesn't Obama understand about "deterrence." That means that nations which possess chemical and biological weapons will not even think about using them against us because the consequences would be so devastating for them.

Now, a little chem weapons here, a little bio weapons there, and all is good.

The world now is a more dangerous place.

You feeling that hope and change yet, America?  When an American city gets hit with a chemical weapon, and Obama the Commie lectures this country on why we deserve it, who are you going to blame?

Quick Linky

Because I don't have time to quote much of the discussion, but I think it needs to be read:

The Smallest Minority - Quote of the Day - We've Met the Enemy Edition

How can we fix this country without a civil war?  Is that even possible?

Snortworthy

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but just in case you haven't.....

What I have learned after discussions over the last several days with several journalists who either have regular access to the White House or are part of the White House press corps is that there is a growing sense that access is traded for positive stories -- or perhaps worse, an agreement that things learned will not be reported in the near term.
The White House is working hard to secure deals that yield fluffy, feel good commentary about the Obama White House. One American White House reporter used colorful terms to describe the arrangement. The reporter said, "They want 'blow jobs' first [in the press sense]. Then you have to be on good behavior for a bit or be willing to deal, and then you get access."

The Media has been nothing but a Fluffer for Obama long before he got elected, and now they want to cry about it.  Fuck them.  They've had their lips fastened to Obama's crotch for years.  This shouldn't be unfamiliar behavior.  Let them sink along with their Marxist Messiah.

Post tag

A while back, I had a commenter who objected to one of my tags I use for my posts regarding the Democrat American Communist Party.  The tag is "Domestic Enemies".  I swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign or domestic.  I label the Left for what it is, Domestic enemies of the Constitution.

Need proof?

"I don't worry about the Constitution on this"

Right there, he should have been tarred and feathered.  That worthless fucking cockholster should have been tarred and feathered, and then paraded around town naked with a sign hung around his neck that read "OATH BREAKER".

Thank God TeaParty has 'Left' to lecture us on how to behave at political rallies.

Happy April Fool's Day

How do you like the joke that our Constitution has become?

You laughing yet?

Oh by the way - this joke doesn't end at Midnight, either.  It's with us for good.  Yeah, I know, I'm just a real bundle of joy, ain't I?

Just think

If America had a free media instead of whores and propaganda artists for the Democrat American Communist Party, we'd have known about this before the election.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

Obama is a fraud.  But then, some people knew that before the election.  We were just called "racists".

There's hope for him yet!

Any guy who does this can't be all bad.

No. 1 cable news host Bill O’Reilly said Tuesday that he will personally write a check to cover $16,500 in legal costs for the father of a fallen U.S. Marine who sued the members of a church who picketed his son’s funeral.

Of course, now we have to educate him about the 2nd Amendment.
