Went to get on my bike this evening to come home, and saw oil dripping from the final drive shaft.
Well, CRAP!
Guess what I get to do on my free time now?

The Sports-Ball Bowl
I want to congratulate Team A for their victory over Team B, and also Team B for their gracious display of humility after a loss to Team A. And I'd also like to tell the rioters where ever they are to calm down. It's sports, not life.
Don't tell me who won. I don't give a shit. And I'll probably hear it from guys at work today, which makes me give even less of a shit.

Corruption runs deep, but Leftist seem to fail upward
So. the former Metropolitan Chief of Police who bungled the Seth Rich murder investigation is now the Chief of Security at the NFL. Oh, and also, she likes to hob-nob with DNC bigwigs and sits on a board with the former wife of John Podesta.
So yet another Clintonista skated while the skating was good, and got a fat job pushing Progtard values at a converged institution. You want to know why the NFL has no problem with it's players kneeling during the anthem? Because the NFL is run by people who associate far more with the Democrat leadership than they do with Joe Sixpack from Kansas City.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, no, I'm not watching the game. I'm guessing most of you already knew that.
This reminds me of my time working at the EMP in Seattle. The Director of the place was stepping down, and they brought in a new director from the Seattle Center to take over. The new director had just stepped down as director of the Seattle Center after triggering a lawsuit over unpaid benefits from Seattle Center staff that cost the Center over $2.5 million. So, after that spectacular debacle of crashing the Seattle Center's traffic into the ground and costing the center millions of dollars due to her violating employee's contracts, she got a better paying gig right next door because she knew the right people and said the right things. She promptly laid off half of the EMP staff. The last time I walked by the place, it was even more empty of patrons than when I got laid off. A month after I got laid off, I got another job with higher pay, so it wasn't like I got screwed over. And quite frankly, the guys who didn't get laid off quickly left when they could. Under her "leadership", employee turn-over increased quite a bit.
I highly doubt she's still the director there. However, this being Seattle, I am willing to bet money that she's driven several other organizations into the ground, and still gets paid six figures a year, or more.
This woman, Kathy Lanier, was the Chief of Police for one of the most crime-ridden cities in America. After the department she was responsible for completely bungled one of the most high-profile murders in recent history, she failed upwards into a cushy job thanks to her political connections. I have no doubt that she'll "succeed" in her new job like she did in her old one.
This is why group identity is so important for Leftists. They don't succeed based on their own merits, or on the basis of past work. They continue to fail time and time again, but someone else always pays the price. And as long as they signal the right virtues, and say the right things about the right people, they will continue to find new work, to fail upwards.
Whereas folks the right judge you based on your body of work. Any conservative with half a brain would never have hired the failed executive who cost the Seattle Center millions of dollars in lawsuits and lawyers fees to take over a failing music museum. Because we don't care what virtue you signal. We want to know if you can get people in the door, paying for tickets, buying food and drink, and keeping our employees employed.
Apparently, the NFL really doesn't care about that. Oh well.

So.... "The Memo"
We now know that the DNC can come up with some of the most fantastical bullshit known to man, and the FBI will use that bullshit to spy on a Republican candidate in service to the DNC.
I want you to think about that. The Deep State went after Trump based on lies. Lies so flimsy that nobody actually believed them. But they didn't admit that to the FISA court.
Everybody knew the dossier was bullshit. And everybody knew it was bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign. But the FBI and DOJ was perfectly OK using it to violate the 4th Amendment rights of Donald J. Trump because he was running against a Democrat.
Hell yes, people should go to jail for this.
A much better summation than mine:

The Dems made the whole thing up, paid somebody to write a fake dossier, got the FBI to employ that same somebody (Steele), and then got DOJ to go to the courts with the fake dossier as a justification for spying on the Trump campaign.
Jail time for those involved.
The Dems, including, of course, the reprehensible Obama misadministration, used our government agencies as their personal hit-men and shredded the Constitutional protections we all should enjoy.

Ho. Lee. Crap.
If you're of a age as me... (cough*cough*theanswertolifetheuniverseandeverything*cough*) then you might not have ever lived in America with a GDP growth rate this large.
The kids who have been born since I graduated hah skool have never really seen this kind of economic growth. They might have been alive, but they weren't actually aware of what this kind of economic growth means.
Helloooooooooooo, Trump economy!
The economy is on track to put up blockbuster growth numbers in the first quarter, according to the latest forecast from the Atlanta Fed.
GDP is expected to surge 5.4 percent to start 2018, the central bank branch estimated in its latest rolling look at how the economy is progressing.
If the forecast holds, it would be the best quarter since the Great Recession ended in 2009. The previous highest was third quarter of 2014, which hit 5.2 percent.

Fix Yourself
It's a good message, delivered by someone who knows what he's talking about.
The problem is that the people who ARE trying to fix themselves are, by and large, already conservative in nature. It's the other people he describes, the bitter, hateful, rage-filled Leftists, who think they're perfect.

We had a guest over last night
So I didn't watch the State of the Union address. When the Mrs. is cooking coq au vin, then dammit, I'm focusing on the coq au vin. And the fruit and cheese platter. And the.. well, I don't need to make you too jealous.
However, given how hard CNN is trying to say that it wasn't a success, I'm forced to conclude that it was, indeed, a success.
I'm pretty sure that there's some kernel of truth in there, seeing has how a bunch of folks from the National Socialist Democrat Workers Party either didn't show up, or got triggered so hard by actual patriotism that they stormed out.
But Americans, by and large, liked it!

In an amazing example of just how out of touch they were with the American people Tuesday, CNN prefaced the release of their very positive State of the Union reaction poll by claiming it wasn’t representative of the nation.

But DACA! Dreamers! Valedictorians!
Two DACA recipients arrested for human smuggling.
Why in the hell do people think that if these poor widdle children have been in America for such and such number of years that they're somehow American? We don't have magic dirt. And if Pedro and Juan have been raised in a Spanish speaking household to think of themselves as Mexican (and by the sheer number of Mexican flags I saw in California, that's exactly what is happening) then they're going to do things they way they're done in Mexico.
To include human trafficking.
No DACA. No Amnesty
Three men were inside the vehicle. The agents found that the 20-year-old is a DACA recipient and his 22-year-old cousin is a Mexican national illegally residing in the US.
A 21-year-old Mexican national illegally in the US was also in the vehicle.

"Minnesota Man"
Yeah, quotation marks are needed.
Stop right there. If you needed any examples of how Islam and muslims are incompatible with Western Civilization, the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota should be one of the first things to look at. They have a huge muslim population thanks to all the Somali "refugees" they've taken in over the years. And what have they gotten for it? Stabbings by muslims at the mall of America. That would be muslims who have lived in the USA for years, lived in a country that took them in and helped them, and in return they go all jihadi.
We noted the case of “Minnesota man” Mahad Abdiaziz Abdiraham (or Abdirahman)

And let's not forget that "Minnesota woman" who set fires at St. Catherine's College in Minneapolis. At the plea hearing Thursday, Abdiraham’s attorney read a statement — which is public record — to the courtroom, which explained why he attacked the two men.In the statement, Abdiraham said he went to the Mall of America to answer the “call for jihad by the Chief of Believer, Abu-bakr Al-baghdadi, may Allah protect him, and by the Mujahiden of the Islamic State.”The statement added, “I understand that the two men I stabbed know and have explained the reason for my attack, and I am here reaffirming that it was indeed an act of Jihad in the way of Allah.”Abdiraham also said in the statement that Americans will not be safe as long as “your country is at war with Islam.”
A 19-year-old former student at St. Catherine University allegedly set several fires across campus Wednesday in retaliation for U.S. military intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to charges filed Friday.
Tnuza J. Hassan, of Minneapolis, allegedly told police that “she wanted the school to burn to the ground and that her intent was to hurt people,” according to the complaint charging her with one count of felony first-degree arson filed in Ramsey County District Court.
According to the charge, Hassan said similar attacks happened on “Muslim land” and no one cared if Muslims were hurt. She told police and fire investigators, “You guys are lucky that I don’t know how to build a bomb because I would have done that.”Islam is a barbaric, satanic, 7th Century moon-god worshipping death cult, and it is incompatible with civilization. Which is why Islam seeks to destroy civilization every time it runs up against it.
Not a good look for the Coasties
But I'm not heckling them, because I'm pretty sure the Army has pulled this crap as well.
My emphasis once again. Paul F. Zukunft, the flaming twatwaffle who wants more trannies in the Coast Guard, helped stack a jury to convict a Sailor of a crime, based on evidence so flimsy and weak that even the original prosecutor wanted the charges thrown out.
The case against this Sailor was so pathetic that the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces has dismissed all charges with prejudice, meaning the Coast Guard cannot bring these charges up again. In a just world, political officers like Paul F. Zukunft would be turning in their resignation immediately. The military does not need political parasites like Paul F. Zukunft leading anything more than latrine duty.
Let's hope that this political slimeball Paul F. Zukunft retires soon, or that Trump tells him to clear out his desk, so that we can get someone who actually cares about the military service in charge rather than a political leech who cares more about the approval of politicians than doing his job correctly.
The nation’s highest military court has thrown out the 2012 rape conviction of a Coast Guard enlisted man because admirals and prosecutors packed the seven-member jury with five women, four of whom held jobs as advocates for victims of sexual assault.
In a 5-0 ruling that could change how the military conducts sex abuse trials, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces unleashed caustic criticism of all involved. Please keep in mind that during the Obama junta, as in all Marxist governments, competence and experience were not a real requirement to attain flag-officer rank. The correct politics were what got you in. Which leads us to...
The opinion, delivered by Judge Margaret A. Ryan, said the four admirals who played a role in assembling the officer and enlisted jury pool produced an illegal “gender-based court stacking.” She suggested that the admirals’ role amounted to unlawful command influence, which military law analysts see as the enemy of fair trials for service members.
The court ruling said the trial judge “failed to conduct even a rudimentary investigation” into defense attorneys’ complaints of an unfair jury.My emphasis up there. "Seek inclusiveness". That's verbiage straight out of the SJW handbook right there.
It also said the Coast Guard Court of Criminal Appeals failed in its duty to protect against unlawful command influence as it “rationalized the error away as a benign effort to seek inclusiveness.”
One of the admirals involved in jury selection is Coast Guard Commandant Paul F. Zukunft. He was the last of four convening authorities of the rape trial.
Adm. Zukunft told a hearing judge that he was unaware of jury stacking. The appeals court rejected his excuse.

The Second American Civil War is occurring right now
We just haven't started shooting yet.
Maybe, just maybe, if we can clean out the corrupt bastards in the government, we won't get to that shooting part. I'm hopeful but doubtful.

Hey, got any Hockey going on?
NFL ratings and numbers are..... not good for them.
Fuck the fucking fuckers, and I hope their ratings, and the ad revenue that comes with them, continue to decline. They got woke. Now they can go broke.
One big surprise, however, is the NFL. It ranks as the sixth most divisive brand, with a +39 approval rating from Democrats, but a -11 among Republicans.
This is particularly noteworthy, given that no other major sport has a negative rating (even NASCAR scores a +18 among Democrats), and the fact that the NFL's fan base tends to skew Republican. One survey found that registered Republicans were 21% more likely to be pro football fans than Democrats.

Tossin' shit
So at work we have a storage area called a "cage". Because it's a cage, complete with chain-link fencing, but it's simple and it works. Got told today that I had to "clean up" the cage. M'kay, I haven't been here very long at all, and I have no idea what's in the cage, seeing as how I was engaged in, oh, LEARNING MY JOB since there wasn't fuck-all left behind for me to use.
That's a rant for another day.
And I haven't signed for anything in the cage, meaning that there's not a damn thing in there that I'm financially responsible for. Go down to the cage, which I share with another section. They portion off their stuff, so that I know it's their stuff and I don't have to deal with it. Cool. Dig through the half-inch of dust on MY stuff, which tells me that the people before me didn't do a damn thing down here, and see what I have.
And it's.... ancient. Out of date. Pile upon pile of useless paperwork and bullshit, none of which has any value or relevance to my current position.
Borrowed a dolly from supply. Loaded that bad boy up a couple of times, took all the crap out to the dumpster, and tossed that shit.
Cleaned up what was left (items that actually DO have relevance to my current position), locked the cage, and went on my merry way. Found a guitar. It had been sitting there for so long that the strings were completely slack. So I tuned it up, and it seems to be a good instrument. Maybe I'll learn how to play the guitar next.

Also known as "Business as usual" for the Democrats
Yep.
Democrats only win the elections they can steal.
An elderly couple wanted to vote for the Republican in a 2017 special election in North Philadelphia.
First they were told they had to go “get a stamp” outside the polling place — where Democrats handed out stamps for write-in candidates. Then, when an Election Board worker heard they wanted to vote Republican, a witness heard him bellow: “Not on my machine!” And though they both said they eventually cast ballots, in the end only one GOP vote was recorded at the polling place.
Democrats only win the elections they can steal.
Yep
So apparently this particular meme got the fucking Facebook Fascists to put a guy's account on hold. Go figure. I say we spread it far and wide.

The Clinton-Lynch meeting was the end, not the beginning
Loretta Lynch knew months in advance that Corrupt Hillary Clinton wasn't going to be charged. The meeting on the tarmac in Phoenix was Lynch delivering the results of the Obama corruption to Clinton.
A government of corrupt, power-hungry, greedy statist thugs. That's what we're dealing with. And we're still dealing with it, thanks to the rot in the leadership of the FBI.

The Democrats must have looked at their polling numbers and shat their Depends. This is the first time in my life I can remember the GOP winning a shut-down battle.

Yes, I think TCH has medical uses
Ol' Rodger gives a summation of a creme that he used on his knees.
I have no doubt that THC can have medical benefits. Let me just lay that out there right now. If you are using TCH for medical purposes, I think you should be able to do so.
I know, for such a guy who's anti-drug, what the hell, right?
If people can gain some benefit from the medical use of marijuana, I have no problem with that. It's the people who get stoned all day every day that I object to. Red wine can benefit cardiovascular health. That doesn't mean I think it's OK to drink four bottles a night. People who use THC for medical purposes should be able to do so. The question then becomes how can we allow people to use THC for medical purposes without enabling those who just want to get intoxicated all day? I worked with a gent who had glaucoma. He used THC drops in his eyes to preserve his eyesight. But, and this is the key, he was not getting stoned off of his medicine. He was using it for a completely medical purpose.
Just like a lot of the painkillers out there, if you abuse them, then you're an addict with an issue. Ands I think that the vast majority of people arguing for "medical" marijuana only want it to get high. I would never suggest that someone guzzle four or five bottles of red wine a day for "heart health". Neither would I suggest that someone just get high for "medical reasons". Having a drink at the end of the day helps me relax. But if I drink the whole bottle, that's certainly not helpful or relaxing.
Your thoughts in the comments.
Two weeks ago I was in for my scheduled silicone injection and showed my knee guy the little jar. Oh, did you notice the THC ingredient label? THC is the chemical in pot that delivers the feel goods, as I understand it. Doctor X noticed it immediately, and was intrigued. While he'd never heard of this particular application, he said that the governing body of his medical discipline had been studying the THC thing, but had made no recommendation. But, he implied that I should continue the experiment and keep him informed.

A government of thugs, for thugs
The FBI somehow "lost" five months of text messages between Peter Strzok and his mistress, sent on an FBI device, in violation of their own SOP. The dates of missing messages just so happen to coincide with the whole Russian Collusion bullshit that Strzok was kicking up with his mistress and various other high-level members of the FBI.
As Glenn Reynolds puts it: "There have been so many episodes like this where crucial evidence is “lost” that I don’t believe any of it anymore."
It's thugs protecting thugs, all on our dime. I don't believe those messages are "lost" anymore than Glenn does. They are either stored away and the FBI is refusing to hand them over, or they're deleted. If they're as damaging to the Democrats as I think they could be, then they're gone. Wiped just as clean as Hillary Clinton's server.
Quite frankly there's nobody at the top of the FBI that I trust right now, and I would bet that the rot and corruption go quite a bit down from there.
Here's one question: Given that the text messages we do have show that EVERYBODY KNEW Clinton wasn't going to face charges, just how bad are the ones that they deliberately deleted?
We knew the Obama administration was corrupt. Elect a third-world, anti-American president, get a third-world, anti-constitutional government. Actually having proof of it before the election, i.e. Lynch meeting with Clinton on their private plane, was a blessing from heaven, because it allowed the public to see what the Obama junta didn't want them to see.

One exchange between Strzok and Page, dated July 1, 2016, referenced then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch's decision to accept the FBI's conclusion in the Clinton investigation. Lynch's announcement came days after it was revealed that the attorney general and former President Bill Clinton had an impromptu meeting aboard her plane in Phoenix.
"Timing looks like hell," Strzok texted Page.
"Yeah, that is awful timing," Page agreed. In a later message, she added: "It's a real profile in couragw [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought."
Four days later, then-FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be brought against Clinton, even though -- as he put it -- her actions in regard to the private server were "extremely careless."
