In his own version of "mission accomplished," Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, also issued a statement calling for withdrawal on a short timetable.

"With the end of al-Zarqawi and the confirmation of the final vital cabinet ministries in Iraq's new government, it's another sign that it's time for Iraqis to stand up for Iraq, bring the factions together, end the insurgency and run their own country. Our troops have done their job in Iraq, and they've done it valiantly. It's time to work with the new Iraqi government to bring our combat troops home by the end of this year," he said.

Typical John Kerry - surrender, capitulate, withdraw. Surrender, capitulate, withdraw. It's the same crap he's preached for over thirty years. It doesn't change. Surrender, capitulate, withdraw.

And don't even get me started on this idiot:

1 - Immigration. The people who want open borders (i.e. Leftists and RINOs) vs. the people who think that national sovereignty still means something (i.e. sane people).

2 - The War on Terror. The people who want us to lose (i.e. Leftists) vs. the people who want us to win (i.e. sane people).

Had we followed their suggestions, the sick, murderous, head of al Qaeda in Iraq would still be making videos of him and his buddies chopping off the heads of those he captured and blowing up innocent Iraqi men women and children in furtherence of al Qaeda's plans to establish a Caliphate to rule the mid-east according to their radical Islamic beliefs. But we ignored Democrat Murtha, his Democrat Media cheerleaders, and the rest of the far-left and now Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (who fled Afghanistan for the safety of Saddam's Iraq) is DEAD. We got him!

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, al-Qaida's leader in Iraq who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings and kidnappings, has been killed in an air raid north of Baghdad — a major victory in the U.S.-led war in Iraq and the broader war on terror. Iraq's prime minister and U.S. officials said his identity was confirmed by fingerprints and a first-hand look at his face.

The announcement came six days after the Jordanian-born terror leader appeared in a videotape, railing against Shiites in Iraq and saying militias are raping women and killing Sunnis and the community must fight back.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed along with seven aides Wednesday evening in a house 30 miles northeast of Baghdad in the volatile province of Diyala, just east of the provincial capital of Baqouba, al-Maliki said.

"Today, al-Zarqawi was eliminated," al-Maliki told a news conference, drawing loud applause from reporters as he was flanked by U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad and U.S. Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq.

Al-Maliki said the air strike was the result of intelligence reports provided to Iraqi security forces by residents in the area, and U.S. forces acted on the information.

"Those who disrupt the course of life, like al-Zarqawi, will have a tragic end," he said.

He also warned those who follow the militant's lead that "whenever there is a new al-Zarqawi, we will kill him."

"This is a message for all those who embrace violence, killing and destruction to stop and to (retreat) before it's too late," he said. "It is an open battle with all those who incite sectarianism."

Khalilzad added "the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is a huge success for Iraq and the international war on terror." He also gave a thumbs up and said it was a good day for the United States.

Casey said the hunt for al-Zarqawi began in the area two weeks ago, and al-Zarqawi's body was identified by fingerprints and facial recognition.

The Jordanian-born militant, who was believed to have personally beheaded at least two American hostages, became Iraq's most wanted militant, as notorious as Osama bin Laden, to whom he swore allegiance in 2004. The United States put a $25 million bounty on his head, the same as bin Laden.

In the past year, he moved his campaign beyond Iraq's borders, claiming to have carried out a Nov. 9, 2005, triple suicide bombing against hotels in Amman, Jordan, that killed 60 people, as well as other attacks in Jordan and even a rocket attack from Lebanon into northern Israel.

U.S. forces and their allies came close to capturing al-Zarqawi several times since his campaign began in mid-2003.

His closest brush may have come in late 2004. Deputy Interior Ministry Maj. Gen. Hussein Kamal said Iraqi security forces caught al-Zarqawi near the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah but then released him because they didn't realize who he was.

In May 2005, Web statements by his group said al-Zarqawi had been wounded in fighting with Americans and was being treated in a hospital abroad — raising speculation over a successor among his lieutenants. But days later, a statement said al-Zarqawi was fine and had returned to Iraq. There was never any independent confirmation of the reports of his wounding.

U.S. forces believe they just missed capturing al-Zarqawi in a Feb. 20, 2005 raid in which troops closed in on his vehicle west of Baghdad near the Euphrates River. His driver and another associate were captured and al-Zarqawi's computer was seized along with pistols and ammunition.

U.S. troops twice launched massive invasions of Fallujah, the stronghold used by al-Qaida in Iraq fighters and other insurgents west of Baghdad. An April 2004 offensive left the city still in insurgent hands, but the October 2004 assault wrested it from them. However, al-Zarqawi — if he was in the city — escaped.

Sure, he made a point to publicly swear allegiance to bin Laden in 2004, but he was already a member of the terrorist hive infesting Afghanistan run by the Taliban who gave asylum to al Qaida and bin Laden even as we demanded that they turn him over after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. When we'd effectively cleaned out the hive in Afghanistan, he moved on to greener pastures in Iraq. Saddam had offered bin Laden himself assylum in 1998 and was a blatant supporter of international terrorism offering funding, material support and training to those willing to carry out attacks against Israel and western nations including the United States. The left has carried out a disinformation campaign for years attempting to disassociate Saddam from terrorism, but the evidence is vast and was even widely reported by Democrat Media outlets during a Democrat administration.

Killing al-Zarqawi IS a fantastic success in our effort to bring democratic order to a free Iraq, he was a rally point for the murderous terrorists trying to destroy what we've accomplished. Al-Qaeda will have to find a new military leader for their efforts in Iraq - if they can. We're hunting the leadership of their organization across the globe. And it is clear the Iraqis will fight the next incarnation of al-Zarqawi to rise from the charred remains of the one we just sent to hell. Despite all the Democrat Media hysteria about how horrible of a situation Iraq is, we are winning. They know this, which is why the work tirelessly to destroy support for the war here such as this recent effort to smear our soldiers with accusations of "murder" in Haditha (by Democrat Murtha no less). It's success like this that puts such hysteria in perspective.

Cheap Hydrogen?

Although GE has only built a prototype in their lab, Bourgeois believes that demonstrations can come as soon as the end of next year, and commercialization will follow that. The goal of the project, according to Bourgeois, is to bring down equipment costs enough to take the cost of hydrogen from $8 per kilogram to $3 per kilogram—comparable in energy and price to a gallon of gasoline.

Currently, Hydrogen production is also limited to industrial refineries and agricultural areas, where the gas is produced on-site using methane, says Bourgeois. GE’s system—which, at approximately 10’ x 20’, can fit in a small trailer—could be marketed to smaller-scale industries. And one day, Bourgeois sees a future when drivers fill their hydrogen-fuel-cell powered cars from pumps with built-in electrolyzers. If electricity needed to produce the hydrogen is wind- or solar-generated, the entire process is, essentially, emissions-free.

The more fuel options that we has a country have, the better. When we make one fuel source feasable, we reduce our dependance on all the other types of fuel. I'm not thrilled because "hydrogen will save mother Gaia, and stuff!". I'm happy because once we find a way to make alternative fuels actually work, rather than the ethenol hocus-pokus bullshit we have to deal with now, we can tell a large part of the Middle East to go fuck off.

The only reason the Mad Mullahs of Tehran have any power is because they control a big chunk of the world's oil supply. I'd love to see what happens when we tell them "You know what? We don't need you anymore."

Patton was a Soldier's general. He cussed up a storm. He drove people hard, and he wanted to kill as many Krauts as he could. When George C. Scott gave Patton's speech for the movie, the scriptwriters had to clean it up for general consumption.

Patton shat fire and saved matches. And I wish to god we had him in today's Army.

And it needs to be said again. Yes, we are losing soldiers in Iraq. And losing soldiers is never a good thing. But when a soldier in Iraq is safer than your average Joe in Washington D.C. -

Despite media coverage purporting to show that escalating violence in Iraq has the country spiraling out of control, civilian death statistics complied by Rep. Steve King, R-IA, indicate that Iraq actually has a lower civilian violent death rate than Washington, D.C.

Appearing with Westwood One radio host Monica Crowley on Saturday, King said that the incessantly negative coverage of the Iraq war prompted him to research the actual death numbers.

"I began to ask myself the question, if you were a civilian in Iraq, how could you tolerate that level of violence," he said. "What really is the level of violence?"

Using Pentagon statistics cross-checked with independent research, King said he came up with an annualized Iraqi civilian death rate of 27.51 per 100,000.

While that number sounds high - astonishingly, the Iowa Republican discovered that it's significantly lower than a number of major American cities, including the nation's capital.

"It's 45 violent deaths per 100,000 in Washington, D.C.," King told Crowley.

Other American cities with higher violent civilian death rates than Iraq include:

Detroit - 41.8 per 100,000

Baltimore - 37.7 per 100,000

I would rather be deployed to Iraq than stationed in D.C.

A total of 2,471 servicemembers have died in Iraq from 2003 to the present, a period of a little over three years. That total is almost exactly one third of the number of military personnel who died on active duty from 1980 to 1982, a comparable time period when no wars were being fought. Until very recently, our armed forces lost servicemen at a greater rate than we have experienced in Iraq, due solely to accidental death.

Iraq isn't a quagmire, Bagdad is not Ho Chi Min City, and all the Dimocrat fucktards shrieking for us to get out of Iraq are nothing more than shit-filled surrender-monkeys seeking American defeat at any cost.

Going for another tattoo today. Why? Because I can. You can call me a freak if you want, but I mark my life on my skin. Ever tat I have has meaning to it, so that when I'm retired and my nephew asks me why I have "that" on my arm or back, I can tell him exactly why I have it and when I got it.

And you can't see a damn one if I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I can still look professional. That's key, no matter how many people want to sneer at the thought. Unless you hit the lottery, there's not many ways for some guy with a tattooed face to make a good living. It can happen, but when I see a guy with spiders tattooed up his neck and onto his face, I know that I'm looking at a guy who's going to be on the lower end of the pay scale for a large portion of his life. Is it fair? No. But that's the way life works. Not too many CEO's with "Live Free" tattooed across their foreheads.

Maybe at Harley-Davidson. But that's only one company.

What Is A Progressive?

Why is it that when some so-called "scientist" comes out with a study like this:

FORT COLLINS, Colo. Kerry Emanuel sparked a debate among his colleagues last year when he published a paper that linked global warming to the trend of increasingly stronger Atlantic Ocean hurricanes observed in recent decades.

In a study to be published soon, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology climatologist will make another bold claim: The cycling of hurricane activity from high to low, which some scientists have attributed to a natural cycle in global weather patterns, is in fact caused by the rise and fall of pollution released by humans.

Furthermore, Emanuel, along with Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University, contend that the microscopic aerosol particles, which reflect sunlight and cool the atmosphere, have been masking the effect of global warming on Atlantic Ocean hurricanes for several decades. The researchers say that it is only in recent decades, as aerosol emissions from North America and Europe have declined due to clean air standards, that the full impact of greenhouse gas emissions on hurricane strength has been realized.

It can be easily refuted by anyone with a computer, internet connection and a search engine?

Look - The cycle of hurricanes has been charted rather extensively in the past century. Here's just one example of what you can find in ten seconds on the internet. On a list of the 30 deadliest hurricanes, we find the dates for the top five (in order) - 1900, 1928, 1919, 1938, 1935. The categories for those hurricanes (also in order) - 4, 4, 4, 3, 5. The three Cat. 5 hurricanes that hit the US in the last century came in 1935, 1969, and 1992 And note that the 1992 Cat. 5, (Hurricane Andrew) was reclassified as a Cat. 5 hurricane in 2002.

Now, this study came out in 2001, and tracks the hurricanes from 1900 to 2000, so there is missing data from the last six years. This Hurricane Tracking site puts Hurricane Katrina at #3 in the list of the US' most deadly hurricanes. But as an example of cycles, you can just look at the data that's been put out and glean that Kerry Emanuel the so-called scientist is pushing a bullshit piece of crap. It's a social agenda wrapped up in scientific trappings.

The more that people push "Global Warming" as the endtimes situation they crave it to be, the more holes get poked in the theory. And Global Warming is a theory, folks. I don't care what whacked out potheads and high school socialists try to say, IT'S JUST A THEORY, and a rather thin one at that.

Oh, and just for fun - since Kerry Emanuel the so-called scientist blames microscopic aerosol particles for all these nasty hurricanes, here's a quick history of the aerosol for you to look at. Compare the dates on that list with the dates of hurricanes anywhere else.

And do it, ya know, scientifically, and stuff.

Still going on Haditha

People are still going on Haditha, some responsibly, and some making hysterical claims without any proof to back them up.

We don't know what happened, folks. The investigation is still ongoing, meaning that people are still fact-finding. And until all the facts come out, people should keep their mouth shut about whether the Marines are guilty or not.

But the hue and cry coming from the Left, especially in the wake of the Jesse MacBeth fiasco, should be instructive as to the mindset of Democrats in this country today.

The very same people who are skeptical when soldiers and Marines describe what has been happening in Iraq are the first people who scream "WAR CRIMES! ATROCITY! MUUUUUUUUUURDEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!" when the first hint of a scandal comes out. They think the absolute worst of our military, and will use any sign of wrong-doing to vindicate their twisted worldview.

The Left so hates the military that they use any lie (see MacBeth, Jesse; Wright, Micah; and Massey, Jimmy) to try and discredit every person in uniform. They hate the military so much that instead of either giving the military the benefit of a doubt, or at least keeping their vile slander to themselves until all the facts come out, they will jump on any unsubstantiated news report and use it to trash our armed forces.

But don't question their patriotism. And don't question their support of the troops.

It seems that our anti-war maggot, one fake Ranger Jessie MacBeth, he of "I k-k-k-k-killed people" fame, not only forged his DD214 in a vain effort to back up his claims, also attempted to gain VA benifits with that same fraudulent DD 214.

On Sept 19 2005 Mr. Macbeth filed a claim for compensation in our office. I hate to say it but he successfully passed that bogus DD214 off to an experienced NSO. (I took his place in November).

Fast forward to February. I received a call from a VA employee at the American Lake hospital. He had asked me to "verify" the 214. Now this is the first time I had any knowledge of Mr. MacBeth. I pulled his hard file out and reviewed it. As soon as I saw the DD214 (the fake one) I informed the VA employee that Mr. Macbeth had a fraudulent 214. I proceeded to contact our National Service officer in Seattle, Sharon V***l, and Senior Investigator M**** S****s of the VAOIG (Veterans Administration Inspector General).

Mr. MacBeth visited my office on February 27. Law enforcement personnel were notified but at the time they were not really interested in picking him up.

He once more visited my office on the 9th of March with his "whine" fest. At that time I told him the "gig was up" and he should leave my office and never come back. I also sent a fax to agent S****s with MacBeths current info on it.

The whole time I never realized this guy was making videos, belonging to IVATW, Veterans for peace or anybody else.

Well now Pierce County WA has a Felony Assault warrant out for him as of 23 May. He beat up a girl. Now he has left town, believed to be in San Francisco with the group "Swords to Plowshares"!!!

And yes, the VA will soon have a Federal Warrant on him and yep, they will prosecute him for fraud.

Enjoy jail, Jesse. I hear that people like you get traded around like cash. I can't say I'm going to shed a tear over that.

UN still not serious about Darfur

Imagine if a doctor told you, "You've got cancer, and we need to treat it soon before it becomes terminal, but gosh, don't use chemo therapy! Because that might provoke a negative reaction from your body!"

BRUSSELS, Belgium Â? The United Nations humanitarian chief warned Tuesday of a catastrophic situation developing in Darfur unless international donors act soon to bolster a beleaguered African peacekeeping force in the Sudanese province.

"We either get good news in the next few weeks, or we have catastrophic news later," Jan Egeland told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.

However, he warned against deploying a Western military force, as some politicians in the United States have suggested.

"We have to be careful to calibrate the humanitarian and security response so it doesn't provoke a reaction," Egeland said. "I'd like to see the African Union and the U.N. play the lead role there, NATO and other organizations can complement and very usefully complement our efforts."

Because we all know how good the UN is at keeping the peace! All those child prostitutes that the UN "peacekeepers" employ don't raise a stir at all!

A 7,300-member African Union force in place in Darfur has been largely unable to halt violence there despite a May 5 peace deal designed to end fighting that has killed nearly 200,000 people and displaced 2.5 million since 2003.

7,300 member force? JEBUS H. CHRIST ON A POGO STICK! That's a division sized element! And they're telling us that this division sized element can't do anything?

You want to see the genocide come to a halt? It's real simple. You drop 7,300 American troops in Darfur. You point to the refugee camps and say "These people need to stay alive. If someone tries to kill them, rape them, or assault them, you kill the killers, rapists, and other assorted bad guys." And then you sit back and watch as the thugs currently in control of Darfur either die, or stop killing, raping and assaulting people.

After years and years of watching this sort of shit happen, you would think that for once, JUST ONCE, people would finally figure out that the UN, the EU, and all of Africa not only couldn't give two shits about the refugees in Darfur, or simply can't do anything about it.

Hell, the EU couldn't do a damn thing about genocide happening in their own backyard. Who was it that stepped up and stopped muslims from being slaughtered in Kosovo? The USA. Not fwance. Not Germany. Those two countries told America to mind it's own business and leave well enough alone, even as Slobodan Milosivic filled mass graves with the bodies of his victims. Are those the same people who are now dictating what should happen in Darfur?

Remember the Mark Styen post I linked to a while back? "Everyone's for a free Tibet, but no one is for freeing Tibet." The same applies here. The world will sit and watch while thousands of people are slaughtered in Darfur, and the UN will click their tongues and say "You need to do more!". But what they really mean is "You need to give us more money!" and absolutely nothing, I repeat NOTHING will be done to prevent the crisis that is currently going on. If anyone in Africa really gave a shit about the atrocities that are being visited on the refugees, they would have actually DONE SOMETHING ABOUT THEM IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, rather than bitch about how America needs to pony up cash for more trucks and helicopters!

Egeland recently told the U.N. Security Council that the number of displaced people in South Darfur had tripled in the last four months to between 100,000-120,000. He complained local officials have blocked fuel deliveries and the movement of aid workers has been severely restricted.

In addition, areas of eastern Chad that border Darfur have been engulfed in turmoil, Egeland said. Aid groups have been forced to cut back staff and relief work because of insecurity and funding shortfalls.

Darfur is a hellhole. And it's a hellhole because of the people running it. Trying to bring aid to Darfur while the thugs are still in power would be like trying to bring aid to the Afghani people while the Taliban was still in power!

IT AIN'T GONNA WORK, YOU MORONS! Because the people in control of Darfur have NOINTERESTT in letting the refugees survive!

Egeland said his talks at NATO and the EU were also look at the wider use of the military to help in humanitarian situations. He said military units had proven very helpful during the Asian tsunami, last year's earthquake in Kashmir and the latest deadly quake in Indonesia.

He said an international conference would be held later this year bringing together military and humanitarian organizations to look at how to coordinate aid responses.

And I'm sure those international conferences are going to be held in some posh resort, where diplomats can shake their heads and say "What a tragedy" while they sip champagne and eat caviar. In the meantime, people in Darfur will still be murdered, raped, and pillaged.

Because the people involved with all of this right now really don't give a shit. They're not serious about stopping the problem. Name ONE HUMANITARIAN PROBLEM that the UN has solved without American involvement.

It's not going to happen, folks. Darfur will continue being a blood-soaked hellhole until the people who want to "save" Darfur get serious about it. And unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon.

When is a Massacre a Massacre?

Marshall, commander of U.S. forces in World War II and later secretary of state, clearly felt that they deserved no more attention than any other veteran at rest under the trees at Arlington.

So with all of these resources, why is Casey Sheehan's grave still unmarked? His mother made an effort of her own lately. In the January issue of Vanity Fair she is pictured in a two-page spread lying on her son's unmarked grave in a black jumpsuit with tennis shoes. She also wrote a bitter "In Memoriam" for the left-wing Web site Truthout.org. She was responding to critics who faulted her for placing 2,000 crosses with names of U.S. casualties at what she called "Camp Casey," near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, last summer, while she has yet to place a marker at her own son's grave. In fact, there has been such a firestorm in the blogosphere about Casey Sheehan's grave that there are more than 250,000 Internet entries on the subject.

Cindy Sheehan is indignant at this kind of attention. She attributes it to a "Rovian, heartless and ignorant smear machine" attacking her "for the 'crime' of being broken-hearted and trying to save lives." And she vows: "They can't stop me from trying to save lives. No matter what they cook up next. It is too important. No more needless gravestones. No more wasted lives."

Cindy Sheehan is an anti-American moonbat bitch who is using her son's death to enrich her own life. She's a ghoul. She's feeding off his name now that he can no longer defend himself or his actions. She's feeding herself off of his death.

She's disgusting. My revulsion at that woman's actions knows no bounds.

But all is not lost.

The good news is that Casey Sheehan's father, Patrick, has had enough of this and has quietly arranged with a local monument company to erect a memorial. Wouldn't it be fitting if it were in place in time for Casey Sheehan's birthday, which this year once again falls on Memorial Day?

I pity Patrick Sheehan, who not only lost his son, but now has to deal with Cindy's shameful defiling of his son's memory. And yes, as far as I'm concerned, it is Patrick's son who died. In my opinion Cindy Sheehan lost all claims of motherhood when she used Casey Sheehan's grave for a photoshoot to push her political agenda.

Piling On

There has been so much evidence to prove that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction that the only way to NOT know he had them is willful ignorance.

But what the hell, let's pile on a little bit more.

Al-Tikriti, gave the first videotaped testimony confirming that Iraq had WMDs up to the American invasion in 2003 and that Russia helped remove them prior to the war. His testimony confirms numerous other sources that have pointed to Russia's secret alliance with Iraq and the co-ordinated moving of WMDs before the American liberation. Today we've invited three experts on this subject to discuss the details of Al-Tikriti's testimony and its larger significance.

It won't make a lick of difference to the brain-dead leftists who are still screaming "BUSH LIED!" But it'll make it easier to show those leftists to be the tinfoil hat wearing fucktards that they are.

Did you enjoy your Memorial Day?

I know I did. Spent plenty of time at the beach, snorkling around a reef and watching schools of tropical fish all around me.

Then I got out of the water and had a beer and pinchos de pollo.

Meanwhile, in Iraq and Afghanistan, soldiers went door to door looking for terrorists, while other soldiers searched for IED's, while other soldiers did whatever they had to do to make it through another day.

One day it's going to be me over there. I'll be sweating my ass off, swearing at the relentless sun, knocking on doors or searching for an IED before it kills either myself or my buddies. That's just a fact of life. Anyone in the Army is going to be deployed to the Middle East. It's a matter of time and numbers. One day my unit will get sent, and I'll spend a year squatting in the sandbox.

But for now, I can enjoy my life and honor those who made it possible for me to be alive and free.

The Da Vinci Hoax

Alrighty folks - here's my big hint for the day:

If you want to know what "The Da Vinci Code" says, go buy the book that "Code" was based on (some say plagiarised), "Holy Blood, Holy Grail".

Dan Brown is a make-believe intellectual who hates Christianity. BFD. I really don't give two shits about him, and I'm not going to waste any money on his book or the movie. Especially when I know that the ideas and thoughts behind his book aren't really his.

Having said that, check out this piece, The Trashing of the Christ, by Tim Graham. Graham makes the shocking discovery that the Has-Been Media practically performed fellatio on their guests involved with "The Da Vinci Code", while they broke out the whips and thumbscrews for Mel Gibson when he made "The Passion of the Christ".

Duh. No kidding? Gosh, who woulda thunk it?

Look folks, I hate to break this to you, but the media exhibits all the predictable character traits that Leftists have, because THE MEDIA IS MADE OF LEFTISTS! And one trait of the Left is their hatred of Christianity. There are probably a number of reasons for this, and many of them are open to debate. My opinion is that their problems with Christianity are related to their socialist (i.e. communist lite) backgrounds. Marx hated religion in general. The Communists knew that in order to make people subject to the state, they had to remove anything else that might interfere with their plans. Religion was one of those things that interfered. Socialism is just a few steps down from Communism. And let's be honest, the only reason more people don't actively advocate for communism in America is because of people like you, or myself, who can see what communism does, and did for the world in the past century. The goals of a socialist and a communist are the same. The only difference is the degrees of control by the State.

Now, that's my opinion. You wanna debate it, cool. But the Left's hatred of Christianity cannot be debated. It's on display all around this country. Crosses removed from a city's seal? A cross removed from a Korean War Memorial?

What's next, are they going to demand that Arlington Cemetery remove all the crosses they have on Federal land? Perhaps the City of Los Angeles, (Full name of L.A. = La Ciudad de la Riena de los Angeles, or The City of the Queen of the Angels) needs to change it's name to something more secular. Same with San Francisco (St. Francis), San Juan (St. John), San Jose (St. Joseph), Santa Barbara (St. Barbara) Santa Monica, yada yada yada you get my point. Half of California should change it's name to fit with the Left's goals of wiping religion off the map.

That ties in with the fact that "Code" is a direct assault on Christianity, more specifically the Roman Catholic Church. Since all other Christian denominations are derived from the Catholic Church from one time or another, and hold many (if not damn near all) of the same views, an assault on the Catholic Church's basic doctrine is an assault on all of Christianity.

Of COURSE the Left is going to drool over "Code"! It indulges in one of their favorite pastimes! Hell, it was only two years ago that the Left blamed the downfall of their man, John Kerry, on the great, vast stretch of land they titled "Jesusland". Us Jesus-freaks are just so backwards, you know? The Left can't understand why us knuckle-dragging Neanderthals believe in some fake god, when their religion of environmentalism, multiculteralism, and communism could make the world such a better place, man! Like, really! Yeah! Don't bogart the bong, man!

As if our religion had anything to do with the fact that John "Flipper" Kerry was a ginormous assclown that couldn't be trusted to tie his shoes correctly, much less run a country. Complete with a facial money-shot and a "ThankyousirmayIhaveanother!" from Katie Couric. Meanwhile, Mel Gibson tells people, "You know, some of us actually believe in God the Father" and he's getting the secular version of the Spanish Inquisition on live TV.

Tim Graham shouldn't be surprised that the Media gave their "Code" guests cushy interviews. Graham shouldn't be surprised that the Media gave flaming ass-loads of free publicity to the movie. Graham shouldn't be surprised that the Media is anti-Christianity.

Sadly, I think these people are too far gone into mental deviancy to be of any use to the real world. There is simply too much evidence linking Saddam Hussein to international terrorism to be ignored, unless one is willing to forgo truth and reality in an attempt to remain a partisan zealot. And willful ignorance is a trait that can no longer be tolerated, unless you want another smoking crater in the middle of an American city. L.A. perhaps, or Boston. Miami? Maybe. But for those of us who live in the real world, willful ignorance of the type displayed by Ken, by the DU lunatics, Kos, San Francisco, and the Democrat Party is a sign that we have to push their lies back even harder. Bludgeon the Left with facts. Force them to deal with reality. I don't think we can win the War on Terror if half of our country is running around with wet diapers and their fingers in their ears going "LA LA LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA LA LA!"

I can be heartless

Because I read this news:

Federal drug agents and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are stepping up the investigation of dozens of fatal overdoses linked to heroin laced with a strong prescription painkiller.

The synthetic painkiller fentanyl has tainted the illegal heroin supply in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, authorities said. In Detroit, the drug combination has been linked to at least 23 deaths in less than a week, officials said Tuesday.

And my reaction was "So what? Let the dopers die."

I have such a visceral reaction to drug users that I really couldn't care less if all the heroin users in Chicago OD'd and kicked the bucket. You know what? That's the chance you take when you do an illegal narcotic. I hope the high was worth it.

At least if they die, we don't have to waste any more time or money on them, short of a coffin and a plot of ground.

I think I'll sit back and wait for the hate mail from this one.....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- House leaders of both parties stood in rare election-year unanimity Wednesday demanding the FBI surrender documents it took and remove agents involved in the weekend raid of a congressman's office.

"The Justice Department must immediately return the papers it unconstitutionally seized," House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.

The leaders said that the congressman, William Jefferson, a Louisiana Democrat, should then cooperate with the investigation.

Earlier, Hastert had said any FBI agents involved "ought to be frozen out of that (case) just for the sake of the constitutional aspects of it."

Both parties have protested the Saturday night search of Jefferson's office on Capitol Hill, which they said violated the Constitution's separation of powers doctrine.

Separation of powers? Someone with a bit more legal background than I have please explain to me how the investigation of a corrupt congressman is a violation of the separation of powers? Can anyone explain that to me?

I noted this while reading:

FBI agents searched Jefferson's office in pursuit of evidence in a bribery investigation. The search warrant, signed by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Hogan, was based on an affidavit that said agents found $90,000 in cash wrapped and stashed in the freezer of Jefferson's home.

So it wasn't overreaching by the Executive, but by the Judicial as well.

Tim has a few posts down below about MacBeth. I'd just like to point out a little bit about how this is an example of the Left's hatred for the military.

I guess if you come forward and claim that you were in the military and committed atrocities against civilians, the Left will take you at your word, point blank, and use you to spread their agenda. How long did it take people to check some of his stories and find out he was a fraud?

Not very long. Anyone with a military background could look at his pictures (posted at Michelle Malkin) and see that if he was a soldier at all, he was a piss-poor one.

Here's a clue for those who don't know - if you make it through Ranger training, you will NOT... let me repeat that, YOU WILL NOT be a Private E-2. Which is the rank that MacBeth is wearing on his uniform collar. And the other mistakes in that photo are so obvious that the only explanation for them is that MacBeth never served in the Rangers, probably never served in the Army, and is lying out his ass. I'm not a Ranger. Probably never will be, thanks to my eyesight being crappy. But I can look at that photo and tell you that the guy wearing it is full of shit.

So the people who used MacBeth to push their anti-war, anti-military agenda couldn't even be bothered to do a basic check on him. No, he came forward with tales about murdering civilians, so heck, put him on film! Credibility? Who cares, he makes America look bad!

It's the Left's desire to hurt the military that makes them push people like MacBeth forward without even doing some basic footwork on him. He's a fraud, a scam, but the Left is so desperate to trash the military and the country that the military protects that they'll toss any crap they can, no matter how preposterous the claims, or how fake the people making those claims. And it shows just how deep a hatred the Left has for the military, and for America in general.

If this were just an isolated incident, I would brush it off as moonbats being moonbats.

But it has happened before.

The Left hates the military. From Murtha's latest smears against the Marines, to the systematic attempt to portray the military as deranged, murdering lunatics, the Left has proven to me without a doubt that it hates the military with a passion that is rather frightening. From the people in Seattle waving "Baby-Killer!" signs, to the Leftists calling me an unthinking tool (check out DU's reproduction of Time's Person of the Year cover featuring three soldiers), to the unquestioned support of wild, hysterical claims such as we're seeing today, and as we've seen in the past, the Left hates the military with every little drug-addled bone in their bodies.

And quite honestly, the military is starting to hate them back. Or even worse, simply becoming indifferent to them. And that's something that the Left should be quite frightened about.

Afghanistan not falling apart

Granted, it ain't Wiakiki Beach, but if you listen to the MSM, Afghanistan is a hellhole about to sink below the Earth's crust into Hell.

The reality is something much, much different.

May 24, 2006: The last two weeks have seen an ambitious Taliban offensive shot to pieces. As many as a thousand Taliban gunmen, in half a dozen different groups, have passed over the Pakistani border, or been gathered within Afghanistan, and sent off to try and take control of remote villages and districts. The offensive was a major failure, with nearly half the Taliban getting killed, wounded or captured. Afghan and Coalition casualties were much less, although you wouldn't know that from the mass media reports (which made it all look like a Taliban victory). The Taliban faced more mobile opponents, who had better intelligence. UAVs, aircraft and helicopters were used to track down the Taliban, and catch them. Thousands of Afghan troops and police were in action, exposing some of them to ambush, as they drove to new positions through remote areas.

The good news is not that we're killing the bad guys. The good news is that the AFGHANISTAN MILITARY is killing the bad guys, something that the MSM doesn't want you to know, something that the MSM is going to attempt to prevent you from learning. They don't want you to know that Afghanistan, while not a tourist hotspot, is not a pit of hellish warfare.

The Afghan and British governments are both accusing Pakistan of looking the other way as Taliban groups set up shop and openly operate in Pakistani border areas. Pakistan denies this, but anyone who is bold enough to travel to these areas, will see evidence of Taliban presence (including enforcement of conservative Islamic lifestyle practices.) In truth, the Pakistani government has never controlled many areas along the border, and is only now, for the first time in its history, trying to exert control.

When the USA buddied up to Pakistan, it was for pragmatic reasons. We needed (and still need) help destroying al Queda. We've caught some of the big fish in al Queda with Pakistan's help, including the #3 man in charge of operations. Who was captured IN Pakistan, by Pakistani troops and our boys working together. But we also need to keep in mind that there is a huge segment of Pakistan's population who has more in common with the turbaned tumblefucks than with any kind of modern world. Remember a few months ago when we bombed a house in Pakistan, trying to kill some high level terrorist poo-bahs? We didn't get the people we wanted, but that was because the terrorists we were aiming for showed up late, and thus escaped the bombs. However, we DID get some of the lower level al Queda goathumpers, and the fact that these people in the hills of Pakistan were inviting the upper-level al Queda turds shouldn't surprise anyone. The reason we support President Musharaff is because he's the lesser of two evils, not because he's some great liberating force in the Middle East.

May 21, 2006: Coalition forces found that about a hundred Taliban gunmen were staying at a religious school near Kandahar in southern Afghanistan. Smart bombs hit the school in the middle of the night, but several dozen of the Taliban fled to nearby homes. As Afghan and Coalition forces closed in, the surviving Taliban fired back from nearby homes. So smart bombs were used on the homes as well, which killed about 16 civilians and wounded another twenty. Over 80 Taliban were killed, with no Afghan army or Coalition dead. The Taliban promptly spun their use of civilian homes, as human shields, as a Coalition atrocity.

The quote I remember most about this incident is the Afghan Defense Minister telling the people of Afghanistan NOT to help the Taliban, because if they do "then this is what happens."

I'd say that the Afghani people have a few less moral inhibitions than we Americans do, eh?

You would think members of Congress would learn from the onslaught of public outrage generated last year when the nation first heard about wasteful boondoggles like the "?Bridges to Nowhere"? earmark for Alaska. But just when they seemed to have taken a step forward last week, we find out they also took a giant leap backward.

First, the good news. The House of Representatives adopted on a voice vote an amendment offered by Rep. Scott Garrett, R-N.J., that limits official attendance at the overseas conference junkets so popular with federal civil servants. The Garrett measure says no more than 50 employees of the U.S. Department of Interior or the Environmental Protection Agency can attend such conferences at one time. The Senate still must approve the measure and President Bush must sign it for it to become law.

Interior Department officials admitted in a letter last year to Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., that they don'?t know how many employees actually attend such conferences, which are often conveniently held in attractive vacation spots around the world. Even so, the Interior officials estimated that their department spent $6.2 million on overseas conferences attended by 30 or more Interior staffers in 2004. At EPA, the estimate was $22.4 million to send staffers to 400 such conferences.

Stop. Think about those numbers - $6.2 million for the Interior Department. $22.4 Million for the EPA. $28.6 million for two departments alone, sending their employees to nice cushy "conferences".

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!?!?!?!

And then there is this: Most cheered earlier this month when the House approved a lobbying reform bill that included provisions requiring greater public disclosure of earmarks and names of the members seeking them. But then people started looking at the fine print and discovered lots of earmark loopholes. That means lots of representatives were playing a legislative game of three-card Monte.

On the one hand, many of these representatives stood before America and crowed about the importance of lobbying reforms. On the other, they were busily inserting exceptions like the one that exempts from disclosure the identity of the author of an earmark that directs tax dollars to a federal agency. About half of the thousands of earmarks approved in recent years would thus be exempted from public knowledge!

That's a favorite tactic of Congress - make a law, then exempt themselves from that law. Just another reason why we should bulldoze the Capitol Building with all the congresscritters inside it, and start over.

There'?s another huge loophole that can exempt from disclosure the authors of earmarks directing tax dollars to state and local governments. Example? Funding for Alaska'?s infamous bridges goes to the state government, which means if the lobbying reform were in effect last year, we probably would never have heard about that boondoggle.

This sort of legislative sleight-of-hand was properly condemned by Republicans when they were the minority before 1994. Now it appears many of them have learned to love playing three-card Monte with our tax dollars.

I say it's time to start kicking the incumbants out of their seats during the primaries. Maybe if we flush the waste, we can get some decent people in Congress.

But considering how long Ted (hic) Kennedy has been in office, I don't see that happening any time soon.

The more I see my government in action, the more I want to seceed from the Union. The more I see of Congress, the more I see that the people in Congress are nothing but rancid turds dressed up in suits, voting to give them a bigger cesspool to swim in.

I really don't know what I'm going to do this November. I hear people shrieking "DON'T LET THE DEMOCRATS BACK IN POWER!" and they all bring up good points for why we should keep a republican majority. But looking at the Republicans in office, I don't know if I could vote for them without vomiting. But voting for a Democrat right now would make me puke so hard I'd probably snap my own spine with my convulsions. Democrats are the sarin gas of politics.

I'm hoping the Republicans give me a reason to vote for them before November.

Seriously, Ken went from pretending to be sane, to sheer lunacy in a matter of three days.
