I like your site but am trying to figure out you can remain a Catholic after the mass molestation's of thousands and thousands of young boys and the off the scale cover-up by the church leadership? I can tolerate some things but not the deliberate harm of young boys who will be damaged for the rest of their lives. Your church should follow the teaching Christ and if it don't..get the hell out, no forgiveness for the church or priests. This current pope talked publicly about punishing the offenders yet in secret he promoted them within the church. I was a abused kid, physically not sexually and I have nothing bout coldness and rage in my heart for priests, the pope and the church.
Honestly? Gonna get a little theological here on ya - the Catholic Mass is the only place where Christ is present in body, soul and divinity. God is present during the holy sacrifice of the Mass (and yes, that's what it is properly called) for US, to redeem US. He gives us his body and his blood so that we can be brought closer to him. There's nowhere else I can get that, so there's nowhere else I can go or want to go. So I would rather stay and fight for God than abandon him. And if I'm the one guy screaming the truth surrounded by people who blaspheme and mock both God and I, I'm OK with that. I'd rather be alone with God than surrounded by people of the world anyways.
