Corrupting History

California would rather you know the Baron Von Stuben may have been gay.  How does this help learn the cause and scope of the Revolutionary War?  It doesn't.  But California doesn't really care if you know or understand history, so long as you're OK with a man fucking another man in the ass.

California has become the first state in the union to mandate the use of LGBT-inclusive textbooks in elementary schools and have given parents no way to opt out. The choice has been made for them. It’s the law.
That law requires a “fair, accurate, inclusive, and respectful” treatment of homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and lesbian Americans despite the historical insignificance.
Hey, this historical figure is in this book because they totally liked to go down on the guy next to them!  And this person was a tranny!

“We’re not trying to make anybody gay; we’re not saying there’s an agenda; we’re not saying that these people are better than other people; what we’re saying is this is another group of Americans and they face certain prejudices,” said state publisher Mark Jarrett,
It's not that they faced "certain prejudices", is it?  Because EVERY group in America at some time has faced certain prejudices, but only the current political favorites get the special treatment.  And more importantly, by injecting sexual connotations into every aspect of education, it helps sexualize younger and younger children, which is one of the goals of the Left.  There's a reason the Left defends the pedophiles in Hollywood so vociferously.  So this is a two-fer:  They get to claim historical victim status for their preferred group, and they get to sexualize eight-graders even more than they already are.

This is the same state going bankrupt but still spending hundreds of billions of dollars on a "high-speed" rail that isn't high speed, doesn't go anywhere, and won't be ridden by almost anyone.

I'd say their priorities are fucked.
