Health care and drugs, where will we get them?
As members of Congress before last year’s election, President Obama and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, supported efforts to allow drug imports. But now the Obama administration, like pharmaceutical companies and the Bush administration, is raising safety concerns.
I really have to say thank you pharmaceutical companies. As much as I don't like business and government mixing, I am grateful that it looks like all prescription medications will be from the USA, if this bill passes(I am still being optimistic that it might not). I know that there are people in this country that out of pure desperation will look to Canada, Mexico and other sources to get their prescription medications. Though with certain stores carrying generics for $4.00 that is hardly necessary for most people. I really don't know much about Canada's safeties on such things, but Mexico???? Heck if I had my way these things wouldn't even be made in our protectorates and territories.
But, as we have watched this tennis game we know the score is constantly changing with corruption on its side.
Will Missouri "Nullify" federal gun laws?
I understand the theory behind this. I believe it to be similar to the states that have told the Federal Government to stop overreaching or we will go our own direction. Though my question is does it hold any weight? Will this actually be effective or will the Federal Government just say whatever, we will do what we like?
I am looking at the current trend of states attempting to tell the Federal Government where to go and I find myself questioning if we will have a civil war, or if the states will just start breaking off one by one.
Government taking more control away from parents
An international human rights organization today announced it will pursue a civil lawsuit on behalf of parents who want to control their children's education and withhold them from explicit sex education and play-acting classes required by the German government.
Yes I am aware that this is in Germany where fathers are being jailed rather than letting the states give their children sex ed. Unfortunately with all that we know about the "safe school czar" Kevin Jennings, the more I think this is not as far from home as some would like to think.

Quote of the Day
The Democrats are whores with AIDS and three kinds of clap. The Republicans are whores with three kinds of clap. You can cure the clap with wide spectrum antibiotics. There ain't nothing you can do about AIDS but keep well back.
The question, continuing to riff on the analogy, is whether or not the whore is worth curing.
Ayup.
But why a spoon, Cousin?
Those, dear friends, are the clumsy fingerprints of someone messing with the data Egyptian style … they are indisputable evidence that the “homogenized” data has been changed to fit someone’s preconceptions about whether the earth is warming.
One thing is clear from this. People who say that “Climategate was only about scientists behaving badly, but the data is OK” are wrong. At least one part of the data is bad, too. The Smoking Gun for that statement is at Darwin Zero.
Found at Ace of Spades HQ. Again, anyone who claims that manmade global warming is real needs to be laughed at, long and loud.

Winter is here
Gah.
By the time the Mrs. and I had finished shoveling, there was another half-inch already in place. It's going to be a fun day!

Here come the Death Panels
The eligibility age for state-subsidized breast cancer screening has been raised from 40 to 50 by the California Health and Human Services Agency, which will also temporarily stop enrollment in the breast cancer screening program.
Hey, how are you enjoying that free government health care, folks? Oh, you want to go home, be taken care of in home and save the government money? Sorry, you can't do that either.
Democrats voted to cut Medicare’s home health care budget by 13 percent over the next 10 years. The next time that I hear a Democrat say that there won’t be a cut in benefits as a result of them cutting Medicare by $467,000,000,000, I’m gonna get in their face and tell them that they’re lying through their teeth. Then I’m gonna read them the riot act. THEN I’m gonna get nasty. But don't worry, the government's going to take care of you! No change in benefits! No new taxes! Trust the government, you little upstart minion! You're just there to provide funds to the government anyway! The notion that the Democratic Party is the protector of the elderly, the downtrodden and the people who’ve fallen through the cracks is BS. They’re cutting the most efficient part of Medicare and the part that has the most positive impact on families.
I’ll lay this out as succinctly as I know how. Medicare’s home care programs save money, lots of it. It also helps people live their last days in dignity. And the Democrats just voted to slash their budgets by 14 percent over the next decade.
Shall I go get the tar and feathers now?

Over 1,200 limos.
So many private jets that they can't all be parked at the airport, they have to be flown to frikkin' SWEDEN, parked at the airport THERE, and then flown back to pick up whoever the high-muckity-schmuck is.
What fucking hypocrites. What fucking liars. You want proof that man-made global warming is utter and complete bullshit? Just look at the actions of those who preach it the loudest.
Hmmmmm....
Oh, wait....
Of all the things the Teleprompter Jesus has done, ignoring the Iranian protesters is one of the vilest things. We're watching freedom try to live, and Obama wants it to die.
Just like he wanted freedom in Honduras to die.
It used to be that American Presidents did their best to spread freedom and prosperity around the globe. Obama spreads slavery and statism. And I hope he burns in hell for it.
