I had to do a search when I got home, because these guys just flat out rock it. They understand song-writing in a way that the modern pop "artists" couldn't begin to deal with.
Rush. (No, not Limbaugh, although I've never heard him sing.)
Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Neal Peart. Seen them live five times, and they sound just as good, but not the "note-for-note match" that got Milli Manilli busted, just enough to recognize live versus Memorex. Awesome every time.

I never had a chance to see Rush live, although I did watch quite a few of their concerts.
