Saint Patrick's Day

Dinner was a corned beef, in a crock pot.  Quartered a red onion, placed the corned beef on top of the quarters, and then filled the crock pot with Guinness up to the bottom of the beef.

Mashed potatos with bacon and onion.

Irish beer bread.

Leeks, braised in the pan that we cooked the bacon in, de-glazed with Jameson's Irish Whiskey.

Gravy made with the liquid from the crock pot.

I'm so full, if I move wrong I might just pop.

Da Missus fixes corned beef in the crock pot and it comes out almost flavorless. I'm using your method next time. Around here Corned Beef is usually pretty cheap so "next time" will be in a couple of weeks.
