Quote of the day, I hate RINOs edition

From Protein Wisdom:

I’m tired of rewarding the GOP with my vote just because they recognize that I recognize that the other choice is worse.

Ayup.   Put that in conjunction with this Mark Levine rant that I completely agree with:

Levin took issue with much of the common criticisms of Palin, particularly those concerning whether or not she can win the 2012 election and how she left her governorship post early, which is normal for presidential candidates, Levin says.
“So what is it? What’s the problem?” he said. “She’s solid on social issues. She’s solid on fiscal issues. She’s solid against these subsidies against big companies – in other words, she not a corporatist. She’s not a crony or a believer in that. She’s solid on taxes and spending. I’m just confused. She’s solid on Israel. She’s solid on the military. She’s solid with respect to our allies. Is there some big issue that’s disqualifying? What – because the liberals don’t like her?”
The problem with Palin is that she's not an establishment elitist.  In fact, she's taken down a couple establishment elitists, and rather than the establishment recognizing that their actions have worn out their welcome, they choose to attack the person they see as responsible for their failure - and that would be Palin right now.

I friggin' TOLD you!

Weiner the wiener-showing dick.  The best part?  Andrew Breitbart showing up and basically calling out the media for being a bunch of water-carrying douchbags.

Nurse Dogs

I've said this plenty of times - Pit Bulls are not the vicious breed everyone thinks they are.

Try to quickly summon an image of good-with-small-children dog, and chances are you'll picture something adorably Benji-shaggy. Or maybe a sweetie-pie golden retriever, or a loveball of a lab. It's not likely, at least not in today's perception of the breed, that an American pit bull terrier leaps to mind.
But not so long ago, pit bulls were brought in as "nanny dogs," the trusted caretaker pups to watch over kids.
Vintage photographs recently posted on a personal blog show off the breed as babysitter.
Our old dog, Roxie, was half pit bull. Nobody would have been able to attack the Ragin' Mrs. when Roxie was around, unless they somehow managed to kill the dog first.  But Roxie would rather curl up on the couch with you than be aggressive.  She was a very protective lovable lunk, who just enjoyed life.

The so-called aggressive breeds are mean and violent because someone makes them mean and violent

Music for a Sunday, Ubi Caritas edition

Ubi caritas est vera, Dius ibi est.  Where true charity is found, God is there.

This video had the best sound, but to get the true feeling of the song you have to hear it chanted, like it would have been a thousand years ago.

Enjoy.

A short letter to Mr. Tommy Christopher

Markos Moulitsas doesn't give a shit about anybody but himself.  Your pleas for help from him were probably met with two words that he's quite famous for:  "Screw them".

The State Run Media

Just keep getting worse and worse.  We knew they were going to work to re-elect their Liberal Lord and Messiah, but they've gotten even worse in how blatantly they're using their airtime to promote the guy.

Quote of the Day, they don't get it edition

Reading the list of quotes regarding Sarah Palin's bus tour, the disconnect between the media, the political elite and the rest of America couldn't be more clear.  Dear Karl Rove - why should Sarah Palin coordinate with the GOP leadership when they tried to toss her overboard ever since John McCain picked her as a running mate?

Ace is all over Weinergate

And not in THAT way, if you know what I mean.  No, Ace is calling attention to the fact that Rep Weiner is desperately trying to make this go away, by pretending it never happened.  And the state-run media, complicit as ever, is following his lead.

But it doesn't add up.

The more I see and hear, the more I'm convinced that Weiner sent a photo of his wiener to that girl, and probably has done the same with a bunch of other girls.
