Overall, Bush wins, but it took him a bit to warm up. For the first part of the debate, Bush looked on edge, and Kerry was getting into his whole "Bush lied ***hand gesture*** I'd do it differently" routine. Once Bush got warmed up, he held his own and then took the lead. By the time the debate was ending, Bush was rolling and leaving Kerry in the dust. That'll help him in the end, leaving people with a mental picture of Bush as the strong debater while wiping out the memory his early mishaps. Hell, by the end of the debates Kerry was pitching softballs of his own at Bush, and 'ol Dubya was smacking them out of the park.
I give it a C for Bush, and a D- for Kerry.
I can't believe I made it through listening to John Fonda Kerry for that long without breaking the TV.
