Three Guys

With more musical talent than just about any Grammy winner this year, or last year, or the last year before that, so on and so forth.....

Thanks to CMBlake for the reminder.

What would Justin Bieber sound like

If he and Nicki Menaj actually had some class?

Probably something like this:

Of course, Nicki Menaj is one of the worst no-talent slutty hacks of the modern music age, and Justin Bieber...  don't get me started.  I could go on for days about what's wrong with that little androgynous punk.

Time to start thinking

We all know and appreciate the various "rights" protected in the Bill of Rights, the ongoing governmental intrusions and violations notwithstanding, because they are worth protecting from State action. But there are a LOT of ambiguities, a lot of second guessing, and (especially lately) "it's just so OLD".

Given that we are currently at the beginning stages of the collapse, I feel a little like Hari Seldon, except that I don't have an entire planet with institutions that are specifically defined and easily controlled, just to ameliorate the ensuing bouncing rubble. But Hari's goal was not to stop the collapse of Galactic Empire, any more than mine is to stop the collapse of the existing bloated system.

The goal is to have something better grow out of the ashes, not merely another phoenix.

So with that in mind, I would like to suggest a few thoughts that will need to be better phrased - defined, if you will - so that there will be less of a chance for misunderstanding by those who seek to control their fellow citizen through an excess of "I know what's good for you better than you do"-itis (more popularly known as "progressivism" in modern lingo).

"Freedom of speech" -- all well and good, and it seemed to be pretty emphatic with the "Congress shall make no law", but what qualifies as "speech"? Lots of court cases, even up to the present day, are still trying to argue that out. Does a financial donation count as speech? Support, surely, but speech?

"Freedom of religion" - again, all well and good, but given that even atheism is a religious point of view, do the atheists have the right to tell the rest of us how and where to worship, just because they might be offended by seeing the baby Jesus in the public park? Can states actually punish people for following their religious persuasions? (No? Lots of conscientious objectors went to jail during WW2 and Vietnam, not to mention the baker who must be "rehabilitated" for refusing to bake a same-sex wedding cake in Oregon.) What, exactly, is a religion? Branch Davidians? Scientologists? Church of Satan? Wicca? (From a legal standpoint, the answer is "all of the above". Including the atheists.) But what about when one religion directly opposes another? Protestant vs Catholic, Mormons vs Moonies, Islam vs ... well, let's face it, "everyone else on the planet". (Kind of tough to reason with "Submit or Die", ain't it?)

Speaking of which, can we insert something about "There is no right to not be offended, so suck it up"?

What kinds of weapons are private citizens allowed to keep and own? At what point do our actions pass into the public arena, and by so doing, surrender the privacy that is never actually mentioned in the Bill of Rights? Can we try phrasing it differently than simply "cruel and unusual"?

Better start thinking about it now, so that when the discussion start around the burning wreck that was City Hall, you will be better able to influence things into the path we want.

Well, wasn't I precient?

Remember when I said that Obama was Putin's bitch?

Yeah.  Putin wanted to make sure that Obama knew he was nothing but Putin's Bitch, so 'ol Pooty-Poot took to the New York Times.....

This is not just Putin making sure Obama knows that he's nothing but a gutless little bitch.  This is worse.  This op-ed is a metaphor for Putin fucking Obama up the ass, jizzing in Obama's eyes and then forcing Obama to suck the shit off of Putin's dick.

And Obama did just that, because he's such a fucking worthless little quivering bitch that there's nothing else he wants to do.

So he is just the man for the New York Times — an international liar who has just made a complete fool of the president of the United States and shamed our country in the process while putting into question the entire future of the Middle East.

For his next column, perhaps he can finally tell us what happened in Benghazi. Sadly, there’s a better chance he’ll do it than our own administration.
I'm so damn ashamed of my country that I can't describe how I feel in English.

The saddest part of Miley Cyrus' new video

...is the fact that if you just listen to the song, it's not half-bad.  Decent tune, sung well, and completely and totally ruined by her "DADDY LOOK AT ME" sexuality in the video.

This could have been really, really well done, and instead it's another example of how young women today are nothing more than sexual objects to be used as a sperm receptacle and tossed away.

Bravo.

How many of you

Remembered that 3000 people died twelve years ago, by the hand of goat-fucking barbarians who turned modern marvels that they could not dream of building into weapons used against the people who lifted as much of the world out of poverty as they could manage?

Yeah.

Twelve years later, and Obummer is doing his best to return us to a pre-September 11th country.  Keep your powder dry.

Compare and Contrast

In the same month which I get a National Geographic in my mailbox, hysterically proclaiming that the seas are rising, and that Manhattan and Miami are pretty much doomed (the cover photo is the Statue of Liberty with water up to her waist), this report comes out.

There has been a 60 per cent increase in the amount of ocean covered with ice compared to this time last year, they equivalent of almost a million square miles.
In a rebound from 2012's record low an unbroken ice sheet more than half the size of Europe already stretches from the Canadian islands to Russia's northern shores, days before the annual re-freeze is even set to begin.
The Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year, forcing some ships to change their routes.

Reality is a bitch.  You know who is also a bitch?  Mother Nature.  She doesn't care what some dipshit scientist who wants more government cheese says, she gets colder when she wants to get colder.

I love this Vox Day quote.  Yeah, funny how all the people who vomited "THERE'S A CONSENSUS!" just happened to be the same people sucking off the government tit.

Astonishing, isn't it, that I, and the other skeptics, have been proven right yet again, despite the scientific consensus of all those scientists with their fancy academic credentials.  Thus proving, once again, that the material value of those credentials is somewhat less than an equivalent weight in toilet paper.

How is that possible? Because you don't have to know a damn thing about the climate to know when corrupt human beings are putting forth falsehoods in order to justify claiming more money and power on their own behalf.

Proof that Great Minds Think Alike

At least when it comes to shaving.

I haven’t shaved with a disposable in years, and it was the price (and the promise of a better shave) that chased me away. I used to go through two Fusion cartridges each and every week, for a total annual bill of almost $420 on blades alone. But if you’re willing to take a few extra minutes in the morning, and a few weeks to learn a new skill, you can save a bundle by switching to old-school double edge safety razors.

(.....)

Anyway, buying the best of the best products was about $200 up front to get in, then annual expenses of about $100 or so a year. You could easily spend just half of that, if you really wanted to save the money. The razor and the brush will both outlive their owner, so the buy-in expense amortizes down to almost zero. In my case I’m spending 25% of what I used to spend just on cartridges, while getting a shave almost equal to the one you’d get from a professional barber. The only trick is, taking some time to learn a new skill.

I didn't even buy the fancy razor - I bought the $40 Merkur from The Art of Shaving, and it's been perfectly fine for me.  Even better, I bought an antique brass Gillette safety razor from an antique store in Wisconsin for $4, and depending on what razors I use that gives me the best shave of all.  I won't spend another dime on cartridge razors.  That's money down the drain.

Seahawks win

A close game, but Carolina's problems have been on Offense, not Defense.  I'll take the W.
