Separation of Church and State....the military chaplainacy

I was sitting down with and discussing some issues with our Installation Chaplain who used to be our regular Priest. One of the subjects brought him to the ACLU. Apperantly the ACLU likes to take the validity of the US Military providing for the spiritual needs of US Soldiers to the US Supreme Court, almost annually. Unfortunately this is not the first time I had heard this. As much as I normally don't believe things like this, unless it can be proven. It is hard to find anything on this particular subject. But here is what I found: a discussion forum asking if the ACLU is good for America; in Arkansas the ACLU does not consider the Military a viable career; and my personal favorite, Jewish Chapel built with Federal Funds: No outcry from ADL, ACLU or AU.

The ACLU website says:

"The ACLU is the foremost defender of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The ACLU has played a major role in nearly every critical civil liberties battle of the last century — in courtrooms, in Congress and in the public arena. Please select from the following list to learn more about these issues."

And if you click on their "Religious Liberty" link, they go on to say
"Madison’s ideals, now embodied in the Constitution, were exactly right. Americans enjoy more religious freedom than do people in any other country in the world.

Unfortunately, some people are now trying to use government power to promote religion in exactly the way the Constitution wisely rejected. The ACLU works to ensure that people remain free to chose which religious beliefs (or none) they wish to express and that governments, school boards, and legislatures do not become involved in deciding which religious beliefs should be promoted or in spending taxpayer dollars to support religious activities and symbols.

The only thing the ACLU is interested in promoting is their own warped viewpoint. If you are Christian, moral, support this country or the military, they think you are the devil in carnate and need an exorcism! I have heard on many occasions that there is no "American" in the ACLU. I think it really stands for something more like Alternatives to Civilized Liberties Union. Half the things they support aren't even legal. Think about NAMBLA...

Back to what started this discussion. The reality is the Military needs the Chaplanacy. I am certain this is all in the ACLU's grand plan to shut down the Military and force us all into a Socialist hippy commune. With the uncertainty and hardships that go with military life, and it is quite the adventure, we need something that resembles normalacy! We need something to believe in when the world is going to hell in a hand basket, all around us.

There is ONE thing I have learned over all else, being in Puerto Rico. That is if you are passive in the way you deal with things and people, you will get walked all over with stilettos and spurs. You have to yell, and scream and throw fits, not always in an appropriate way(judge your audience), to get through to people and make a change.

So, please next time you see a cross, a crucifix, or a Star of David in public, especially in a Cemetary, remember that the ACLU is trying to take away the CIVIL LIBERTIES of the Moral Past, Present and Future.

Browsing over at Instapundit, I read a few posts here and there that I think should be linked together, because they all are based on the same thing.

What? The yahoos are taking over the congressional offices of Democratic congressmen? They are eating their own? This should dominate the nightly news.

And not just because it is good political theater, but because it is a good depiction of what is going on in Congress. Democrats ran as the anti-war party in 2006. They were swept into office.

OK, Pelosi and Reid, end the war.

No, the Democrat American Communist Party ran as the anti-BUSH party. Part of that involved being against the War on Terror. But that's not why they won. They won because Republicans were sick of being represented by corrupt shitweasels who were more interested in personal power and lining their pockets than they were about actually representing the people who elected them. When faced with a choice between a corrupt shitheel on the Left, and a corrupt shitheel on the Right, many conservatives simply stayed home on election day. But look who got elected in their place. While Bela Pelosi gained the speaker's seat, many of the Democrats that were elected in 2006 ran on a rather conservative platform. We now have a new group of Blue Dog Democrats, after years of not seeing any of them around. In short, many Democrats ran on a platform of not following the Democrat American Communist Party platform!

The Democrat American Communist Party didn't win the election, so much as the Stupid Party lost it. The Democrat American Communist Party knows this, which is why they aren't even trying to put a direct stop to the war, and are instead attempting to weasel their way into defeat while blaming the President for their own actions.

The second piece is a report detailing the attack and vandalism of a US Army recruiting station in Wisconsin. You can also read about the not-so-fringe element of the Left via a Hot Air post, which has links to the various offenses perpetrated by the Left over the past few months.

Vandalism. Assault. Flag burning. Burning a soldier in effigy. Spitting on veterans. This is the heart and soul of the Democrat American Communist Party. They have spouted off about having their mandate, and taking down President Bush, and ending the war, until they actually believe it all. So when they see things not happening according to plan, they go berserk. They let their mask slip. This is the Left in America today! There is no hiding anymore, they are out in the open for everyone to see. All of their "We support the troops" statements are shown to be the lies we all knew them to be. Their supposed "patriotism" is shown to be a sham. They are proving every statement we have made about them over the past six years to be true.

In their election victory of 2006, they have become their own worst enemy. Because they now are no longer keeping up the facade of being good, patriotic Americans. They're not pretending any more. They are showing their true colors loud and proud.

Sometimes, when I see the loons, communists and idiots all screaming their rage out on nightly TV, I comfort myself with the fact that at least they're being honest about their intentions now. And don't think that we won't remember this come 2008. If we're afraid of having President Hillary, we can show videos and photos of the people who support her, the people who are out there now howling and shrieking at every opportunity.

I don't think the average American is going to like them any more than I do. Which is to say, not at all.

My mother had cancer, back when I was in high school. I think I've mentioned this before. She survived, but she's constantly monitoring her health, trying to make sure that crap is gone and stays gone.

My aunt had cancer as well. She was another woman who lived a healthy lifestyle, ate right, exercised, and got cancer anyway. She, like my mom, is a survivor.

One of my friends and co-workers when I lived in Seattle had skin cancer. Three rounds of chemo-therapy and it still ate him from the inside out. He died in 2004.

Cancer is an equal opportunity destroyer. And it will destroy you if it gets a chance, and if it can it will destroy your family as well. There is nothing funny about it, and I would only wish it on my worst enemies. It is a painful death, one that saps your strength and makes you wish for someone to just put a gun to your head and end it all.

Anyone who is celebrating because Elizabeth Edwards has cancer needs to have their membership in the human race revoked. For g-d's sake, people, leave his wife out of your political firefight! Take aim at John Edwards for his stance on taxes, or his stance on the War on Terror, or for his support of the class war in America. Slam him for any number of his questionable politics. But leave his wife out of it. Stand up, be a real man (or woman) and show a little respect for basic humanity.

Hanging is too good for these sick bastards. Burning is too good for them. They need to dig deep into the Middle Ages in order to find a death that would be suitable for these three. I don't know if there is any punishment that will equal the pain and terror they inflicted on that poor kid. But we need to try. Personally I think we should cut off their genitalia, and then dump them into a box of fire ants until they've been stung to death, or eaten alive.

Iraqi insurgents appear to have adopted a new tactic since the start of a security crackdown in Baghdad, using children in a suicide attack on Sunday, a senior Pentagon official said Tuesday.

Maj. Gen. Michael Barbero, deputy director for regional operations on the Joint Staff, told reporters that a vehicle was waved through a U.S. military checkpoint because two children were visible in the back seat.

"Children in the back seat lowered suspicion, (so) we let it move through, they parked the vehicle, the adults run out and detonate it with the children in the back," Barbero said.

"The brutality and ruthless nature of this enemy hasn't changed."

Just plain sick. This is the enemy we're fighting against. Well, some of us, anyway. The Democrat American Communist Party is fighting against George W. Bush, and can't be bothered to fight terrorism. But the grown-ups in this country know who we're dealing with: Terrorists who use children to kill other people.

He can hire them, fire them, and nobody can say jack squat about it. But the members of the Democrat American Communist Party currently going into seizures over the firing of eight attorneys don't give a damn about all that. I mean, in their minds, the law is meant to be broken, unless you can whip a conservative with it, and then the law is their best friend.

What a crock. What a steaming pile of horseshit. And what's worse is the Republicans who are going along with it. They all should be flushed down the toilet, because they're nothing but sacks of bullshit that somehow became animated and stuck in Congress.

Can I question their patriotism NOW?

Yesterday was the day from Hell

Have you ever had something so bad happen to one of your aquaintences that it ends up effecting you as well? Yeah. That was yesterday.
