Gotta clean house. Step-son is here. Must avoid strangling him.
No free ice cream today. Sorry.

Another Example
Of how the government is going to kill you, this time indirectly - by simply cutting off the supply of medicines.
But remember, these are the people who want to run your health care. Yeah.

A little bit of common sense
The more I deal with Islam, the more I'm convinced that it's a death cult.
This guy is pretty much anti-religion in general, but you can't say he's wrong about Islam. And he's one of the few folks out there willing to tell the truth about Islam, and the European culture that is committing suicide.
And yeah, I done stole that method.

Lycanthropy?
I painted the living room yesterday, but I was snarling and growling pretty much all morning.
I'm not big enough to be a bear. I'm not hairy enough to be a wolf. Maybe I'm a were-badger? What else is grumpy and ill-tempered?

Disband and demolish the ATF
Get rid of it. Tear it down. The ATF is now responsible for thousands of guns that are in the hands of the Mexican drug cartels. There's no telling how many deaths that they are a party to.
Can I get a "HELL YEAH!"
Sanity - it returns to Wisconsin, in double doses.
Wisconsin Senate passes a Concealed Carry Bill:
Wisconsin Supreme Court overturns political hack disguised as a lower court judge:
My favorite analysis comes from Ace:
Make sure to read it all. Judge Sumi rightly got spanked. I only wish it would happen more often to the Tyrants in Black Robes.
It looks like this state is shaping up just as I'm getting ready to ship out. Ah well, at least my friends here will be in a much better position.
Wisconsin Senate passes a Concealed Carry Bill:
The Wisconsin Senate passed a bill Tuesday that would allow concealed weapons in the state Capitol and other public places, but not in police stations, courthouse and other specifically exempted locations.
The final vote was 25-8, with all 19 Republicans and six Democrats supporting it, and the other eight Democrats opposed.
Wisconsin would become the 49th state to legalize carrying hidden guns. Those who want to carry the weapons would have to obtain a permit.
Before the bill goes to Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who backs the measure, it must also pass the Assembly. That could happen later in the week.Of course, by the time it passes it won't do me or the Ragin' Mrs. a bit of good, as we'll be in another state. But it's high time that Wisconsin allowed people to defend themselves, especially in Milwaukee. One of my compatriots back in Puerto Rico had come up to Ft. McCoy to do some training and took a trip over to Milwaukee to check it out. Now this guy was born and raised in Compton, CA. He drove through Milwaukee and just kept driving. All he would tell me was "Dave, that shit was ghetto!" There's been at least one case of a pizza driver in Milwaukee using a gun to defend himself, and then getting in trouble because the state doesn't allow you to protect yourself in such a fashion. That will finally change.
Wisconsin Supreme Court overturns political hack disguised as a lower court judge:
This is a sweeping victory for Republicans and Gov. Scott Walker. (And for my prior legal anaylsis, but that's another matter. I'll be spiking the football, for sure.)
This also is a vindication for the legal strategy of not backing down to the unjust, unwise, uncalled-for, unlawful rulings of Judge Sumi, who engaged in clearly unsound legal reasoning which -- whether intended or not -- took on the appearance of political posturing.
My favorite analysis comes from Ace:
Commenters are telling me the court ruled here ab initio, which (context clues, it's been forever since I did anything law-oriented) means it's expunged from memory altogether as being improperly entertained from the start, which means there is no remand to the lower court to try again. The higher court has said "Not only did you get this wrong, you got it so wrong we don't trust you with another bite at the apple, so we're directing your decision from here. It's over. Done. Finished. Kaput."
Make sure to read it all. Judge Sumi rightly got spanked. I only wish it would happen more often to the Tyrants in Black Robes.

I AM an American Soldier!
My opinion of the debate
Or what I saw of it, which I watched live courtesy of PJTV thankyouverymuch.
Romney - as expected. Polished. He's spent the past four years getting polished. I can't help feeling that polish is hiding a huge amount of bullshit.
Paul - Ron Paul is great on domestic issues. Start talking foreign policy and you keep hearing off-key calliope music.
Santorum - not quite as polished as Romney, but more solid
Bachmann - came out swinging. Didn't make any mistakes. Didn't wow me either
Cain - struggled to rise up from the middle of the pack. Questions being asked didn't help. I'm cynical enough to think that was on purpose.
Gingrich - smarmy. Blah blah blah blah. He's a great debater, but every time he tries to take a swipe at the Left, the picture of him and Botox Pelosi keep flashing in front of my eyes.
The only people I wouldn't vote for on that stage were Gingrich and Paul. Everybody else either impressed me a little, or at least didn't drop in my view.

So thank you for your service, and Happy Flag Day!

Yeah... well... we're gonna have to do something about that real soon.

Riding
Took the bike out yesterday for it's longest ride of the season, with the Ragin' Mrs. riding shotgun. Every flag that we passed was sticking straight out from the wind. By the time I got home, my lats were screaming at me from having to fight the wind for several hours.
Still, got quite a bit of shopping done. And with the cost of gas these days, I'll take the bike and it's 50mpg any day.

Who the hell
Is this poofed-up douchebag moderating the Republican Presidential Debate? Why the fuck is he on TV? What the fuck is his problem? Hey you fucking dipshit - why don't you stop going "um" "uh" "huh" "heh" or any other vocalizations that your cockholster feels like making when people are trying to give their answers!
I swear to pete, it sounds like he's been bent over a desk and ass-rammed at every pause in the speeches being given. "Well John," *huh* "let me remind you that I was the first" *mm huh* "person to introduce a bill" *uh* "to repeal Obamacare" *muh huh* "and I will" *huh* blah blah blah blah blah.
And once, just friggin' ONCE it would be nice to see anyone from the Democrat Propaganda Machine at CNN ask hard questions to their Liberal Lord and Messiah like the kind they're asking the Repubs. It would be a nice change from seeing them on their knees with their mouths stuffed full of Obamacock.

Quote of the Day, wishin' edition
From the Mistress of Snark:
All I can think now is that it's a shame Twitter is such a new technology; if it had been around a little longer, Bill Clinton would be a disgraced ex-governor of Arkansas and nobody would have ever heard the name "Kennedy".
More economic fuckwittery
Prepare to pay a hell of a lot more for electricity, courtesy of Obama.
Be sure to thank your local Obamabot who voted for that fucking Marxist.
Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years. You want to see the economy crumble? Just wait until businesses cost twice as much to operate due to high utilities. Wait until the cost of goods skyrockets because businesses have to pay an electric bill that's twice as much as it was a year ago.
The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation’s electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered.
The increases are expected to begin to appear in 2014, and policymakers already are scrambling to find cheap and reliable alternative power sources. If they are unsuccessful, consumers can expect further increases as more expensive forms of generation take on a greater share of the electricity load.
Be sure to thank your local Obamabot who voted for that fucking Marxist.
Is Barack Obama a gutless, lying piece of crap?
Who will say anything at all in order to advance himself politically, without regard to his actual convictions? Why yes, yes he is.
Dallas Mavericks win
What sport is that again?
In all seriousness, congrats to the Mavs for actually making me care about pro basketball for five seconds, if only because I can't stand the hysteria that is Lebron James.
I still didn't watch a single game of it. There's a championship battle for a REAL sport's crown going on right now, and the Canucks are up 3-2. THAT is a game worth watching.
